Injuries and cuts reshape Dolphins roster

When I first heard the news that the Dolphins waived/injured our 5th RD pick Curtis Weaver I was furious. Sometimes I can’t help myself, I think “same old Dolphins”. I thought for $670K we could have put the kid on I/R and next year we’d have ready to go and see what he can do. Take a look at the picture up above, the dude is flexing and my modest biceps are bigger than that dudes, he looks soft. Still, Weaver was productive and many draft experts gave us high marks on that pick, a great value in the 5th RD. The Browns, who claimed Weaver have put him on I/R. To be fair, I thought Flores looked especially and unusually uncomfortable when asked about Curtis Weaver. Flores is pretty quick and direct and during the interview, he labored to answer why Weaver was cut which leads me to think there’s something more than we may ever find out. In any case, Weaver is a Brown now and you know what that means to me. (I’ll spare you the expletives)

Kalen Ballage’s career as a Miami Dolphin is also over. He leaves much like one other promising RB draft pick of the past left, in disappointing fashion. Daniel Thomas never fulfilled his potential and Kalen Ballage who I once thought could be our version of David Johnson “light” yet turned out to be David Johnson 20,000,000 gallons of helium. So with the waiving of Curtis Weaver and then the release of Kalen Ballage, the Dolphins signed DB Deatrick Nichols and claimed RB Salvon Ahmed, a former Washington Husky RB. I can’t blame Kalen Ballage completely because our organization doesn’t have a ton of cred evaluating RB’s. We traded away Ajayi (Gase), we traded away Kenyan Drake (who is flourishing with the Cards) and now gave up on Kalen Ballage. If Ballage does well elsewhere, that will amp up this feeling.

The camp battles so far are encouraging. Big Robert Hunt and Solomon Kindley are making noise, winning some battles and losing others but making a splash nonetheless. I like that last years 3rd RD pick Michael Deiter is getting a lot of reps at center and is most likely being groomed as the replacement for Ted Karras who is here on a 1 YR show me contract. I can actually see light at the end of the tunnel with this O-line. Eventually, I see Jackson – Flowers – Deiter – Kindley – Hunt, or maybe Jesse Davis continues his elevated play at RT and holds off Hunt and Hunt moves inside to RG and then Kindley is a very nice depth player to have. The QB’s have all had ups and downs and rookie phenom Tua Tagovailoa is not immune to that. This is expected, anyone who thought Tua was just going to ride onto the field on a unicorn and throw rainbow TD’s every throw was due for disappointment. He’s just getting started and I’m sure there is a lot the kid is trying to absorb at this point. He’s got talent, let him get up to speed. Honestly, I expect some play from mostly everyone with the limited amount of work players and coaches are able to get in. Hopefully as the season progresses, things will look better. If that happens, that’s a good thing. I think teams that have mostly the same personnel and coaches back have a clear advantage over teams with many new p-layers, new coaches and new systems. The Dolphins check all of those boxes so keep your early expectation low.

GO DOLPHINS!!

They speak a lot of truth

    • steveccnv says:

There’s a big backlash from the left about what they call hate speech, but they’re fine with this type of thing, because it’s done to the other side. Can they be any more hypocritical?

  2. i came back to discuss Tua, and the FIns, but some things never change, lol

i guess talking about whether TUA might start game one isnt on the agenda today, ? any thoughts on TUA< the guy from the progressive state of Hawaii?
can he start for us, or will he be needed for it?

    • wyoming85 says:

I think the consensus is Tua isn’t going to beat Fitz out for game #1
We hashed on that for 2 months!!!!!!! 😉

Glad to see your doing well!!!!!!

      • thanks, good You are also!
2 months? but im asking because of FItz mother passing, that just happened a couple days ago

      • Ryan Fitzpatrick was a late scratch for Saturday’s scrimmage at Hard Rock Stadium after his mother died earlier in the morning, coach Brian Flores said.

i guess it was yesterday, but i also heard that Fitz is out for awhile, thats why im asking questions on TUA starting game one

  3. i hope everyone is doing well, been awhile, i have been busy trying to build a house and make money to pay for it at the same time, lol
i got divorced, but im ok because house was fully paid for , and sold it
now i have alot of money and no wife to tell me what to do with it,
i bought 12 acres near Sebring that backs up to a huge state park with a bunch of lakes, very scenic, but needs alot of work.
im preparing the site, driveway, and slab now, the house will be a rebar and shotcrete home, to stand up to these hurricanes

but still love the fins, and most of the guys here, rock on!

    ===============================
No power yet! But still have a house so I’m ecstatic!
I’m sure Fitz will be back in a week????

  5. “He’s going to take as much time as he needs,” Flores said. “I think, as an organization, we’re going to give him his time to grieve. My thought on this, is he’s going to try to get back as quickly as he can.

“Like a lot of us, football is our sanctuary and it’s our place to get away from the tough times, pain and anguish in our lives. I know he’ll probably try to get back as soon as he can, but we’re going to give him as much time as he wants or needs.”
Flores said it’s “hard to say” whether Fitzpatrick will be back in time for their Sept. 13 opener at New England, but they have contingency plans if he isn’t.

  6. wyoming85 says:

If you can take what the reporters say?

It would probably be Rosen to start the season, if Fitz can’t be there?

  7. wyoming85 says:

    • wyoming85 says:

Jordan Howard is so proficient in his ability to find the small creases. The Dolphins defensive line made life difficult throughout the day, but Howard frequently manages to pick up positive yardage regardless of the route he takes to get there.

  8. Mike E. says:

I don’t expect Fitz to be out for a prolonged period of time, maybe a week at most. He’s still going to have the offense down better than Rosen or Tua. He’ll be the starter in my opinion.

  9. The Flying Pig says:

Tua not starting is more about Taking the time with Tua before they put him in there

I’m pretty sure Fitz is just being given the room he needs after the loss of his mother

They really need to use the first half of the season to get the OL in order

Once you put a rookie QB in, you can’t take him out
So it wouldn’t be very smart to rush that along unless Tua is just unquestionably better

    • Mike E. says:

I agree. Once Tua starts they would probably hate to take him back out. Let him see the offense work and yes, as far as the coaches are concerned, make sure they’re not throwing Tua to the lions because the O-line is shaky.

  10. ocalarob says:

i doubt tua starts at all this season barring injury, fitz is gaileys qb and rosen may be a better option than tua.

  11. ocalarob says:

i hear there will be a major hurricane off the east coast sept 12th

  12. New Age says:

I don’t see Fitz being out for the game either. The Dolphins will be classy but Flores is right. Football is a major source of joy for Fitz and I see him coming back after a week to help heal his spirit’s. I don’t expect Tua until after the week off in November. If he starts, I’d say it will be Nov 29th or later.

    • stangerx says:

Fitz knows he has the job for the opener. He can take some time. Wouldn’t be shocked if for Tua isn’t till end of season either absent injury.

  13. D says:

Mike, I don’t think we would have gotten anything more that a 5th comp pick. lBs don’t pull big salaries on FA and with all the other factors involved, I don’t think we would have gotten much better than 5th

    • Mike E. says:

If Randy was right and he wouldn’t get much playing time here then that’s probably true. On the other hand, if he was a 2 down LB for us and played well and got a nice contract, it may have been higher. We’ll never know now but you’re probably right.

  14. Mike E. says:

Wyo – How are you doing pal? What’s the state of the house, property?

  15. steveccnv says:

The Ballage trade isn’t even likely to bring a 7th. The jets made a similar trade with the colts last year, the dude started 6 games and still gave up nothing. We may never know the condition, but don’t expect anything.

  16. CavalierKong says:

  17. steveccnv says:

Only 2 members of the 2017 draft class remain, Godchaux and Ford, and 2 future draft picks the Raiders 4th for our 5th and the Falcons 7th for Harris.

That’s not great, but it isn’t horrible either. Godchaux is a starter and Ford at slot may be a pseudo starter.

They say, if you can find 3 starters from a draft class it’s a success.

That being said, all draft classes aren’t created equal. For example, if we only net 3 starters from the current rookie class it should be deemed a failed draft, unless of course Tua does become the next Marino.

  18. Mike E. says:

Wyo – OK, not too bad. That’s good news. Gas generator or natural gas?

  19. CavalierKong says:

Six days until the roster cuts and we get down to 53!

    • steveccnv says:

The roster size remains at 53, but a team can move 1 or 2 up to the roster for game day. A player can only be moved up 2 times for the year (sent back to PS after the game no waivers) and remain on the practice squad contract. A third time moved up would be the same as the old rule of terminating the PS contract and giving the player an NFL conract, if they go back to the PS they must go thru waivers.

There can be as many as 48 players active on game day as long as there’s 8 OL, otherwise you can carry as many as 47, with a min of 44.

  20. D says:

One of the guys I like for us next year in the first Jamarr Chase WR LSU just opted out of the college season, so I guess I won’t get to watch him in games to get any better idea about him. He was probably the best receiver in the nation last year, so no doubt he is good, but just won’t be able to see if he made any improvements over last year.

  21. steveccnv says:

Ballage failed his physical, he’s Fins property again, but now we may have to pay him an injury settlement.

  22. D says:

6 games are the most you can miss and still acrue a season. It’s also the number of games it takes for a vet to complete a season and kick in things like roster bonuses. I’m saying probably I’d the cut him before game 7, they could avoid and being considered on the roster for the year since those numbers mean something for other thing that equate to being on a roster for a year.

    • steveccnv says:

What is this in reference to?

    • stangerx says:

So if say Tua gets a year-ender in game 5 how does that impact him? He’s getting paid for the full year. Is something else involved other than hitting bonuses?

      • steveccnv says:

It doesn’t affect Tua, he doesn’t have any performance bonuses.

      • stangerx says:

Doesn’t impact Tua cause of: “A player under contract must report to his team’s training camp on his mandatory reporting date in order to earn an accrued season.” Sounds like the free agents are the ones who have to worry about those six games.

      • steveccnv says:

Stanger, miss, as in not on the roster. Injuries don’t affect players for years of service.

I mentioned the colts traded a player to the jets for a cond draft pick, the player started 6 games and was on the jets roster the entire year, but the cond didn’t execute and the colts got nothing. D responded with this 6 game thing that doesn’t apply to this situation. Asked what he was talking about, but haven’t gotten that response yet.

      • stangerx says:

Seems like you know all about it. Just searched and found one of the rules. Seems the 6 games rule is something, but my point was doesn’t impact people under a contract. And we’ve seen folks go down early season. But maybe I’m wrong…. more than happy to hear what it is about.

      • steveccnv says:

We’re on the same page now.

  23. wyoming85 says:

  24. D says:

This was the response. What I’m saying is if the Jets do a conditional pick and cut him before game 7 he wasn’t on their final roster. Those that make it to game 7 or up to 7 games are do roster bonuses and other roster things kick in.

  25. D says:

It doesn’t count for situations where the player was injured and put on IR he is still technically on the team so that year acrues and the roster bonuses kick in etc. That only affects cuts and I think it might be a vet only thing though I’m not sure on that

  26. D says:

I think they can waive him as son as he clears medically so you might pay a few weeks for him to clear but then it’s done. Waive injured might be cheaper route but maybe not either. I don’t know the percentage of their salary that has to be paid out

  27. D says:

Chargers too a big hit there

  28. D says:

It’s amazing how much just keeping your feet cool cools the whole body. I’m outside smoking a cigar, it’s hot as fuck our here so I brought out a fan. Fan and cigar smoke don’t mix if you have the fan blowing on ya so I tilted it to just get my feet and it’s almost as good as it blowing on my torso

  29. D says:

Mikey, have ya ever smoked a 7×70 cigar? I’ve smoked 6×60 and that’s a big fucking cigar, 70 I think is more than an inch in diameter that a big fucking smoke. Thinking about grabbing this deal online but I dunno if I could make it through those

  30. Tim Knight says:

The Ballage situation doesn’t really matter much. He’s not making the team and his cap situation is not a big deal.

  31. Mike E. says:

Wyo, you’re about 50 cents less a gallon than NJ, and because of COVID-19 they’re adding another tax which could increase it by 25 cents a gallon

I will be changing Live draft from Tuesday 09/08 to Wednesday 09/09 due to a conflict with another league live draft which I Don’t have control over … all remaining players will be FA in case something weird happens

  33. coaches dont have as much film his year without the preseason games, yesterdays scrimmage was 4 preseason games crammed into a single scrimmage game.

of course Fitz wasnt there, so Tua got a chance to work with the ones, and Rosen got alot of work in also
both need this, lol and obviously more time, but all thats left is some practices and then its on to NE for game one
Flores did pull the entire first string to get a look at the new talent, so of course there is something to look at, Flores tried to make the most of what little he had
i think FLores will be here a very long time, and bring SB rings back to Miami again, but its still a work in progress, and the team might be at least 2-3 years away from seriously competing in the playoffs if everything works out

  34. Malcolm Perry is going to be exciting, he makes things happen, and could even fill in at QB for some creative play calls

  35. wyoming85 says:

    • D says:

Id roll the dice, but we dont exactly need him.

      • steveccnv says:

Don’t expect him to be a cheap signing, unless you’re thinking of a 1 year deal, so I say no. Don’t really see a point in a 1 year deal.

      • D says:

I doubt he would be overly expensive, he doesnt have the leverage to demand a big contract. Still we could throw oyut something we felt was a team friendly deal and he takes it or he doesnt. I mean there is no risk in testing that out. If he looks like he is worth it, it means we dont bother with RB in the draft, if it doesnt happen we move forward with whatever plans we had before

      • steveccnv says:

We’ve got a good locker room
culture now, why mess that up with this asshole?

  36. ocalarob says:

if you take on fournette you would have to dump a rb who would otherwise make the team that has been with the team and has an understanding of the offense. who do you dump Gaskins?
fournette has been a malcontent on the jags displaying bs on the sideline because he was not in the game.
he doesn’t seem like a team player, maybe that’s the reason he’s looking for a new team.

    • steveccnv says:

Gaskins is starting to flash, but not sure how it will translate to a game.

Signing Fournette to a 1 yr deal only makes sense, if you feel he’s the missing link and with him you’re an SB contender.

I think the latter is more true, than the former.

  37. steveccnv says:

    Fitz back

  38. wyoming85 says:

    • steveccnv says:

At this stage we may be auditioning for the PS. Heaven
knows how many guys we pulled from there last year, but it’s just due diligence.

Dolphins Sign Andy Jones, Waive James Crawford
      Aug 31, 2020 at 09:49 AM

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed wide receiver Andy Jonesand waived linebacker James Crawford.

Joneshad been waived by Miami on April 20, 2020. He spent two stints on Miami’s practice squad during the 2019 season. Jones has also spent time with Detroit (2017-19), Houston (2017) and Dallas (2016-17). He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Dallas on May 6, 2016. During his career, Jones has played in 11 games with three starts, totaling 11 receptions for 80 yards (7.3 avg.) and one touchdown.

Once in a while they say something that has meaning, everything else is just saying what people want to hear. I take it mostly with a grain of salt.

Interviews this year have been horrible. They seem too generic. Sure the U75s aren’t at camp, but…come on man!

    • D says:

We sound like a real team thes days, and what we put on the field, even though it was grossly outmatched last year, looks more like a team than a bunch of years prior.

FL eviction moratorium coming to an end tonight as long as gov desantis doesn’t extend it again. It’s been going on since april 1, what about all these landlords that have mort payments? the courts will be backed up for years when it finally is over. some may really need this but i bet a good majority are just taking advantage of the situation. i hope it ends tonight.

    • stangerx says:

Tough on the landlords but tough on the folks who lost their jobs as well. Tough times can change plans. Had dinner with a guy who owns a salon yesterday. He said “just gonna tell my landlord will pay half and you can take that or I close.” He was darn sure not going to give any personal guarantees on payments.

    • pheloniusphish says:

Yeah this a tough one. On one hand you have people who maybe are not working. On the other you have landlords whose job it is to be a landlord. They both have bills to pay. There should have been a moratorium on mortgage penalties and foreclosures as well as the one on evictions.

Eric Rowe and Bobby McCain both came in to the league as CBs. That means in the nickel we should have 5 corners pretty much. That’s gonna help with the pass D, but how is our rush D gonna be? The days when we started two run-thumping safeties are long gone. And we just got rid of McMillan.

As spreader events (classrooms are incubators-i thought you had kids and should know this) become more the norm over the next 60 or so days, I predict COVID really takes off.

I do think all fall sports are at risk of not happening.

    • wyoming85 says:

Actually the Wife has been doing in school teaching for a month now!

I’ll give you a hint! We haven’t started piling up the dead bodies yet! 😉

      • Krishna says:

4% of the population, more than 25% of the deaths.

I have teachers in my family, too. Think it’s a little early to declare success when I said next 60 days. Spin away.

I hope i get to admit i was wrong.

      • Krishna says:

Oh, and I’ve never heard of school starting July in TX. I must be living under a rock.

  51. Randy says:

I’d love to watch Flores’ practices. Players and coaches say lots of stuff that may or may not be true. I hope he is building something special….and it all starts in practices and the classroom. So far, I’m encouraged. I’ve been let down waaay too many times to get giddy, but I like what we’ve seen so far, for the most part. This year…show improvement…much more consistency. In year three, I wanna see 10+ wins and playoffs not just be encouraged. We’ll see if he can pull it off.

    • son of a son of a shula says:

I feel the exact same way. I can get hyped real easy but I’ve been made a fool too many times now I want to see it. Then I’ll be obnoxious and and carry on.

Same here. This will be the season to see how this team is trending.

    • Krishna says:

Lol….I’m not sure I get it. There is nothing that I could find that stated student filled classrooms started July. No one called you a liar either.

In fact, I said I must be living under a rock. My step daughter teaches in Georgetown TX dingo both online and classroom. The classroom is the cafeteria and kids sitting apart and isolated. Just started THIS month in August. Yay.

My sister teaches in FL. Just started this month with classroom teaching.

That’s all I know and has nothing to do with a prediction or guess about the future I made.

    • Krishna says:

Every non-profit i have ever audited (govt , private, public) related to teaching/education from pre-school to university has a fiscal year end of 7/31. I doubt teaching or starting a new school year in July for the next fiscal year with with kids in class has happened. If so, it means your school is the outlier. But, you’re probably right anyway.

      • son of a son of a shula says:

My wife started preplanning on 7/31 a Friday and the kids started online for 2 weeks on the following Friday now she has both face to face and online students for the second full week now.
        Orange County, FL

      • Krishna says:

Yep, and so you have validated what I have witnessed and said, too. NO classes with kids in seats and teachers teaching to them in July. TY.

  59. Tim Knight says:

Malcolm Perry seems to be turning heads as a versatile weapon. He’s impressed the coaches and his teammates.

  60. Tim Knight says:

The positions I’m interested in watching for the 53 are LB and WR. I kind of see how the other groups will play out for the most part. There are always a few surprises.

  61. Krishna says:

I think it’s odd I make a 60 day prediction, and get shit for something that supposedly happened last month and has yet to evolve. Weird.

There I go deleting 75% of the written word. Lol!

  62. Krishna says:

I want to see the TE position evolve. The OL and DL go without having to say it. Right?

    • Tim Knight says:

Yeah of course. I just have a gut on how other positions will play out on the 53. But then it has to happen on the field.

  63. wyoming85 says:

I’m sorry for the confusion krishna
I just figure 8-3 to 8-31 was close enough to 4 weeks to be a month?

I thought it was a 14 day spread?

Hell in 60 day re there going to be anyone left to get it???????

  64. wyoming85 says:

Oh and as for as the “spin” goes Your washing machine has been on high lately! 😉

  65. Krishna says:

Whatever. If you don’t know the progression of the disease or why kids in a typical classroom setting might not be the best idea, I can’t offer any more. If you say kids assess were in seats in a typical classroom on 8/3, so be it. I don’t know many like that and with this crowd, last month means July.

Nor, have I said or spun anything that I am aware. Please educate me. Maybe, I’m not tactful….lol. That’s a different topic.

I am always open to learning the truth, but intolerant of stupid shit.

    • wyoming85 says:

      Actually you just sound scared!

It’s ok! I know a lot of people that way!

  67. steveccnv says:

So all the cancelling of games this past weekend was all bullshit. Details on Jacob Blake came out. The cops were called, because he sexually assaulted a black woman. He was shot, when he picked up a knife from his car. But you won’t hear any of this from the MSM.

    • Tim Knight says:

The police brutality was never the real issue. It just incites outrage. The real problem is consistent harassment because of skin color. This country has the ability to fix that but it doesn’t. Have some compassion along the way in life. Also ask your representatives to do their job.

  68. steveccnv says:

I agree, and I also don’t think it will ever be fixed until both sides want it to be fixed, which means changes from both sides. Some of these cops are real wimps, they should’ve handled that situation better.

  72. steveccnv says:

For those that believe Trump is the divisive one. Imagine what would happen in the media, if the right had said similar things.

  73. New Age says:

    Tim,

Most of the outrage seems to come from out of town white people. I don’t know how that works. Most of the black people don’t want their towns, businesses and relationships burned up and torn down by out of town anarchists. Especially over a criminal.

ELEVEN unarmed black people were killed by cops last year. More people die on some weekends in Chicago. This was never about justice and Floyd was a hardened criminal high on fentenyl. This is about control and a paid rioter class full of felons let out because COVID was ‘too dangerous’.

I still don’t hear the media discuss David Dorn and where’s the outrage for those kids murdered at CHOP/CHAZ? Absent because it has nothing to do with justice.

  75. bailbondmike says:

In Biden’s speech yesterday he said the violence, riots and looting won’t end if Trump is reelected. How does he know this? He knows cause he knows who is behind/funding it and if he is elected they will call off the dogs. If not, he knows the perpetrators will continue to be funded.

Biden gave the American people an ultimatum yesterday. Yesterday, Biden and the DNC verbally took the American voter, our freedom and safety hostage. In the video Steve posted, Harris issued the same threat and said that she hopes it continues. WTF!

This is just another example of the left not giving a shit about the American people. They only care about money, control and power.

    • bailbondmike says:

They didn’t say shit about it or denounce it at their convention. Only now they are saying something cause Biden’s #’s are dropping.

    • ocalarob says:

I’m not sure if it’s the circles i am around but the overwhelming majority of the people i know are voting Trump, on the other hand if you watch the news it’s quite the opposite?
Most of the people i know are Trump supporters on FB as well.

      what to make of this?

    • ocalarob says:

The video you posted of the Hodge twins, i put that on facebook and they took it down.

    • ocalarob says:

I wonder what the majority on this site is? Trump or Biden?

it would appear it’s trump from all those who’ve chimed in on the subject.

    • steveccnv says:

Funny part is the dems actually tell us this, but the people that back them will call us conspiracy theorists when we bring it up, just like they did when Biden said on tape he wasn’t going to give Ukraine the money unless they fired the prosecutor (well son of a bitch they fired him).

      • stangerx says:

Pretty silly folks for doubting you folks cause Biden fully admitted getting the Ukraine prosecutor fired. According to him and an international coalition for good reason.

    • stangerx says:

So Biden said the unrest will end if he gets elected and Trump said it will end if he is. Not sure how to throw stones at one and not the other for saying the same thing.

  76. The Flying Pig says:

Holy fucking lunacy on this blog

    • pheloniusphish says:

Going to get worse my porcine friend. Wait until Trump wins again…the left is going to try to steal White House by questioning the election results again..

  77. The Flying Pig says:

    This is crazy

I didn’t think we would hit a point where the president of the US would suggesting Biden controlling ninjas were boarding planes but here we are.

Make no mistake about it, people are making crazy arguments bc this man is leading them. I guess it’s the new normal.

    • stangerx says:

He was insisting Obama was not a born US citizen until two years after he showed his birth certificate. Was Obama born in the US? Trump held a press conference and said he was. But guess at that point onto the next one for some folks.

    • pheloniusphish says:

Wait…Your last losing candidate just said in a interview that Biden should refuse to accept the results of the election no matter what happens. And you say we’re crazy?

    • pheloniusphish says:

Pelosi calling the GOP “enemies of the state?”

    • pheloniusphish says:

Schiff leaking classified information minutes after getting it?

      • stangerx says:

And whatabout all of those? Assume you are just playing that game but find it interesting these days when the logical retort when either side does wrong is what the other side did wrong at some other point. I think they are all wrong, if true.

      • pheloniusphish says:

Piggy suggested that people are crazy for listening to Trump. I am suggesting that they are not the ones wearing tinfoil hats. That they are reacting to what the other side is saying. Protesters are being paid. Nothing that Trumps says is anymore outrageous than what the democrats are saying. And yet you will overlook it from them.Because they are the establishment and you are comfortable with that?

All of those examples happened recently. Easy to find.

      • stangerx says:

I knew exactly why you brought those examples up and am familiar. Just don’t think the equivalency is there. You brought up a potpourri of examples on the Dem side only need Trump on the other. Them man is crafty, but also just screwy.

    • wyoming85 says:

Once again I’d suggest watching the WHOLE interview.

Because that snippet and your statement are MSM to perfection.

That’s why I can’t believe what anyone says!!!!!!!

  78. pheloniusphish says:

Even the Democratic mayor of DC is suggesting the violent element of the protests are organized and funded by someone.

  79. The Flying Pig says:

Phish do you don’t think it’s crazy to say what trump just said in that video or not?

  80. pheloniusphish says:

And y’all can’t keep pretending that they are isolated events.

  81. The Flying Pig says:

This kind of talk is the new normal and it’s ridiculous. If people just become lunatics it doesn’t matter what the results of an election are. People will just be lunatics after the election too. It’s not too much to ask people to stay grounded to reality.

  82. wyoming85 says:

Is this is a “post the dumbest video” contest?
I’m not sure you really want to play?

    • The Flying Pig says:

      Yeah but that’s just gibberish

Calling out Biden for fumbling is legit criticism
But saying dark forces are pulling his strings is not

What Trump said isn’t dumb or sloppy – it’s conspiracy laced lunacy
And it’s a green light to anyone who supports him to say things like that in his support

It’s not reciprocal the other way around. If some one fumbles, people don’t try to emulate it

      • steveccnv says:

It’s a fact Biden is not all there, so who is running the show? Isn’t it logical to assume someone is pulling the strings? You can’t just insert conspiracy in everytime the left gets caught.

So does it make more sense that Biden is making his own decisions or that someone is making them for him?

    • steveccnv says:

WTF is he trying to say? Every time he talks, without a teleprompter, it’s the same way. He starts a sentence, then he goes off on a tangent, then he again forgets what he was thinking and he stops all together. Then he gets mad and says come on man, like someone else fucked up.

    • Tim Knight says:

      WTF is he saying? LOL

  83. The Flying Pig says:

    WY

I don’t get that logic at all. I can appreciate wanting to watch the whole interview. But if a there a small bouts of Lunancy – that’s still crazy. You don’t dabble one being crazy.

That clip doesn’t need context for it to be rejected as crazy

When the most powerful man in the country says stuff like that, it becomes the new normal. And it’s not normal. There isn’t a context that makes it normal

And I see it on this blog and elsewhere. I see people making the same kind of arguments. It changes who we are when the president throws stuff like out there and people don’t call it what it is – crazy

    • pheloniusphish says:

So I listened. Still hate the way he talks. Over-dramatization (dark shadows) aside, do you not believe that a cabal of elected and non-elected officials (one could say deep state actors) did their best to sabotage and stage a coup on a duly elected president? If not, how would you characterize the mis-use of FISA and the Steele dossier and the sham impeachment process?

As for thugs dressed in black on the plane, nothing would surprise me.

      • The Flying Pig says:

        It should surprise you

I doubt antifa travels in their uniforms which they don’t really have…lol

Don’t take the actual words the president says seriously is an unusual argument

It turns out I don’t takethe words he says seriously for years and I hate him

But their are obviously people who do take those words seriously and love him

What you are calling exaggeration is something severe schizophrenics do too. It’s not how he talk. It’s what he is talking about. It’s crazy. Call crazy “crazy” if you want to retain your sanity

  84. pheloniusphish says:

I don’t think Biden is being controlled. I think he is being used as front and he is too far gone mentally and pridefully to realize it.

  85. pheloniusphish says:

Used to get news from the media. Now we get filtered opinions. Social media allows people to get what;s happening directly. Also allows the spread of disinformation.

    • stangerx says:

Perhaps filtered by MSM, but still better than a bunch of sources. Dealt with a lot of reporters in my old job. Their first goal was putting out facts, even if yeah in the way they did included spin. But their worst nightmare was saying something not true — why I also talked with many a fact checker. But there pay check was based on being factual.

Now we have internet places where the paycheck is based on supporting the agenda. Not news places but political rags. Goes both left and right, but seems more right. Qannon has millions of followers.

      • steveccnv says:

OMG, MSM controls the narrative in the country so it’s more left.

      • stangerx says:

steve — ever worked with the media ever? I worked with a bunch of conservative publications as well. So just asking where you get the info for your “OMG”

    • wyoming85 says:

That’s why unless I watch it live, or on CSPAN, I’m pretty skeptical about the clipping and snippets!!!!!

Was only a matter of time anyways, but pray for my son, and if ya got any left over i wouldnt mind a few thrown my way too. Thanks.

  87. wyoming85 says:

Piggy because context is why you have to watch the whole thing.

Right before that he was asked who is funding Antifa.

H’es not going to say Soros, and Gates, and Bloomburg! But I will!

    • The Flying Pig says:

And if you say it I will call you crazy, bc I’m trying to come out of this madness with my sanity

You saying this and the other posts is exactly what I am referring to. It’s madness that trump has made this sort of stuff mainstream

Excuse after excuse for Trump to not take his words so seriously has lead to a lot of people saying the same sort of things

It’s the new norm to be Trump crazy

Instead of demanding context all the time, or toning down his words, or saying what about when ____was done to Trump – if you guys just would have called it what it was – “crazy” you wouldn’t be saying the same crazy stuff

  88. wyoming85 says:

I said I wasn’t going down this rabbithole anymore! So I’m out!

  89. steveccnv says:

What we’re doing here is the same crap they do in the media and on social media. You have to start with the first fact and people have to agree or disagree, until they find a starting place of agreement, otherwise you disagree with things you really agree on.

  90. Mike E. says:

D – Hope if you do get it it’s not too bad for either you or your son

  91. Mike E. says:

Piggy, all I can say is that it’s an upside down world. You have the media that dictates what they show, what they don’t show, how they portray it. I think that’s one of the most dangerous things ever. Violent protests portrayed as peaceful, mobs in streets taking over cities. I’m not nearly as worried about Trump as I am about the other 2.

    • stangerx says:

But does it really matter what the media does show at this point? There will be other places that show something different, and the viewers there will like that better cause wanted it to start with. Talking Alex Jones and Shady Hook as fake and Pizzagate. The guy who shot that pizza place up now still claims the info on it was not 100% right. Not wrong, just not 100% right.

  92. wyoming85 says:

  93. Mike E. says:

Stanger – of course it matters. People turn on their TV when they get home from work and flick on the news. If they’re getting one side of a story all the time, or maybe some stories they should be getting are deemed unacceptable because it doesn’t fit their narrative, yes i think that’s extremely dangerous. Some people just watch mainstream media and they’re being molded by the liberal left. It’s insane that this is how things have evolved

    • steveccnv says:

And what’s worse is the schools.

    • stangerx says:

I watch ABC Nightly News every night. Am I getting brainwashed? Cause it sure ain’t like AOC wrote the script. Another way to put it — would you have said the same 6 years ago? Cause only thing I see different is a bunch of far right news stuff out there. If I watch OAN is that level, factual news?

      • steveccnv says:

You’re absolutely getting brainwashed, if you believe what they’re telling you.

Why is OAN far right? Far right is white supremacy, when have they ever been that? All they tell you is the stuff the MSM won’t, like the guy in Wisc was being questioned for sexual assault, that is why the cops were there.

      • stangerx says:

steve — where would you put OAN on the political media spectrum? And I knew the guy in Wisconsin had a warrant for sexual assault…. from a MSM source.
