Game 7 – Falcons @ Dolphins

This has been a rough season, I/we didn’t see this coming. It’s not over yet and the season is still salvageable if we get back on track. We most likely won’t be in the playoff hunt but we can play better and make it more tolerable for all of us. This week is the Fest game and I look forward to meeting some new folks and and seeing some old friends. Hopefully, more of you who haven’t made the Florida trip will be able to make it in the future.

We need to play better football. We have talent here, we need to find the best way to use it. Hoping we start doing that this week and make this team worth watching again.

GO DOLPHINS!!!

  5. Brian in NY says:

Fucking Tua. That’s two horrible passes by him that cost us points .

  6. bookman11 says:

    Tua sucks

  7. CavalierKong says:

Tua costing is this game with two terrible turn overs

  8. thats twice that Tua has tossed a pick, immediately after the Dolphins created a turnover

  9. ocalarob says:

    Did i mention……..nevermind

  10. bookman11 says:

ORob has been right all along. Tua is horrible.

  11. Matt Ryan still going, but Jake Long is who Miami picked?

Dolphins were shitty at picking before Grier was GM too

the team is in decline, not rebuild

  12. CavalierKong says:

First TO was a 10 point turnaround. 2nd TO was a 10-14 turnaround. 20-24 points on two horrible INTs…

  13. bookman11 says:

This is why I am glad I did not waste my time or money on this team by going to the Fest.

  14. ocalarob says:

the good news is we’ll have a great draft pick………wait?

  15. The Flying Pig says:

I can’t believe coach Flores spent a significant time convincing these announcers that we haven’t been dysfunctional at every level all season

  16. Rockphin says:

They should play tempo more often?

  17. Rockphin says:

    EFFORT

  18. Rockphin says:

    I can’t hate the guy

  19. The Flying Pig says:

    Gaskin blocks better than Brown

  20. Rockphin says:

That was the offense saying sorry guys we’ll do better.

  21. Tua laying some wood, he nailed that guy, lol

    nice finish to the drive

  22. CavalierKong says:

    Still in it

  23. CavalierKong says:

Big opportunity if we can get a 3 and out

  24. ocalarob says:

could be a nail biter, i’m sure we all have nails at this point

  25. good to see Tua bounce back from a bad drive, he never quits

  26. CavalierKong says:

    Way to go D!

  27. lol hell yea, NICE play to get Ryan to fumble

  28. Brian in NY says:

    What a play by Ogbah

  29. CavalierKong says:

Lol. Atl took the wrong penalty

  30. 2 penalties on eichenbust today

  31. The Flying Pig says:

    What an absolute mess

  32. Brian in NY says:

Fucking penalties killing us this year

  33. i never liked shaheen

    why not throw to Gesicki?

  34. at least the fest attendees get to see an exciting comeback attempt

  35. ocalarob says:

i think i seen a green dude in the stands! has to be Ken

  36. The Flying Pig says:

    Woooooohoooooooooooo!!!

  37. thats Tuas 4th TD today, nice play!

  38. ocalarob says:

TD! and the crowd goes crazy! Krishna lost his teeth!!

  39. CavalierKong says:

    Need one more stop

  40. its up to the defense now, gotta stop em short of a FG

  41. Brian in NY says:

    Let’s gooooooooooooo! Come on defense!

  42. The Flying Pig says:

Let’s go get a Sack Phillips

  43. CavalierKong says:

Lol, that d called for Landon Robert’s ro cover Pitts

  44. Tua has played well. with the exception of 2 bad passes, very bad passes

but the rest of the game, hes done a good job

  45. Brian in NY says:

I just don’t feel confident that we can prevent a FG attempt, especially after Pitts was wide open

  46. one more turnover would be NICE

  47. Howard cant cover Pitts either

  48. CavalierKong says:

    Amazing throw

  49. Brian in NY says:

    Perfect pass by Ryan

  50. Brian in NY says:

Are the kickers wearing shorts now ? 🤔

  51. The Flying Pig says:

Have to let them score now don’t you?

  52. CavalierKong says:

Defense couldn’t get a stop on 3 straight runs

  53. Brian in NY says:

    That should be game.

  54. cant blame the game on Tua, he put them ahead

the defense failed to stop this last drive

    • Brian in NY says:

Tua is absolutely partly to blame. We were looking at at least 6 points on his picks, that turned into 10 for them. That’s a 16 point swing.

  55. CavalierKong says:

Couldn’t overcome all the mistakes. Couldn’t stop them running the game out on the last drive

  56. Brian in NY says:

So we lose two straight weeks on a last second field goal to two of the worst teams in the league. Guess that means that we are one of the worst as well.

  57. The Flying Pig says:

    If I told you:

Dolphins have a great opening drive
Then suck through 2nd and 3rd qtrs
Then comeback other an fast paced offense

    Then lose the game

You would call it a sequel

Every game this season we’ve had this routine

  58. Brian in NY says:

I can’t fucking believe we gave Philly our first rounder. I just can’t get over that.

  59. CavalierKong says:

It’s pretty tough seeing a team like the Bengals whip their division bully, looking good in their rebuild, and leading their division, while we are the worst team in the league in our year 3.

  60. CavalierKong says:

I’m still laughing at Atlanta accepting the holding call that gave us 1st and 14 instead of the illegal man downfield that would have given us 1st and 15.

Yeah, I’ll take my pleasure where I can find it, lol.

  61. ocalarob says:

    Waddle was a horrible decision!

  62. Brian in NY says:

Piggy, waddle was a good pick, but here’s the thing- we have up TWO first rounders for him, where Cincy and ATL merely used one . That’s a huge difference IMO

  63. bookman11 says:

Yeah, like Waddle, hate what was given up. Once again ORob was right

  64. ocalarob says:

we’re just not good enough to contend at this point. the best thing to do is continue on and try to get this team as much experience as possible, it’s to late to try to fix this. the season is over.
figure out who’s good and who’s not, in March we have $$ for free agents, fill your holes do better in the draft.
don’t give up draft picks for watson, start picking QBs in the draft until you hit on one

  65. Tim Knight says:

It’s one of those years. We don’t do enough to win these games. It’s totally developmental mode now. 😦

  66. bookman11 says:

So now we have to wait another whole year: in what world, after 40 years of crap, has this become acceptable? Sorry Tim, you cannot spin this anymore as a patience or experience thing. TheBengals, and Chargers are winning, where are we?

  67. CavalierKong says:

Bengals have been really impressive so far. They beat Pitt in Pitt, Balt in Balt, and are currently the #1 seed in the AFC. Who the heck saw that coming?

We also got an extra 1st in 2023 in that deal.
    ______________________________________________

    NO WE DIDN’T!
When are going to understand that we didn’t have to do the philly deal to get the SF deal done.
    it’s common sense!
SF wanted to move up, they gave us 2 ones to do it, that’s it.

our deal with philly was separate.

  69. CavalierKong says:

We have the Bills next Sunday.

The perfect Halloween game, because it’ll probably be scary and ugly…

  70. bookman11 says:

The Bengals and Chargers seem to be moving forward, wonder why that is? And, by the way, Burrow was injured and not been together on the field with his team either. Give me a break. We suck!!!!

    • Tim Knight says:

The Chargers got dominated last week. You think we lost because of Tua?

      • bookman11 says:

I think we drafted the wrong QB and should not have given back picks to get Waddle. I am with ORob on this

      • Tim Knight says:

Okay, but I think you’re both barking up the wrong tree. Tua drove the team for the lead late 4th quarter and the defense allowed the opponent to do the same to win the game with no time on the clock, again! We’re not a good “team”. It’s not because Tua sucks. He doesn’t. We always do enough to lose in all phases. It’s not about one position or player. Coaches need to be called out too. The season sucks! We’re all watching the same thing.

As for picks, we’ll have 8 1st round picks from 2020-2023 if it stays the way it is. What are you guys harping on? How often does that happen?

      • bookman11 says:

What have we done with all the recent picks? I want a franchise QB!!!

  71. bookman11 says:

Tua threw 2 picks that cost the game.

  72. Bookman, we all saw Tua throw 2 bad passes, but everything else he did well, including 4 TDS, and including the go ahead score late in the game

the defense failed to get a stop, and the Falcs kicked a FG to win

    • bookman11 says:

Yeah let’s just forget about all the possessions in between

      • nobody is forgetting other possesions

        4 were TD passes
One drive ended in a missed FG
Tua had a hard nosed Run in the red zone to set up a score
the running game actually looked a little better
        but in the end,
Tua did his part to win, the defense did not

  73. Tua had the Dolphins in another scoring situation earlier in the game, but the Fins got their FG blocked

Tua cant win games all by himself, penalties were also a factor

  74. bookman11 says:

So we forget about the picks?

  75. Tim Knight says:

Bookman, our defense is losing games.

Why are you asking me what we’ve done with all the picks? I’m a fan just like you. But you and ORob are stating opinions as facts instead of facts. We’re not void of picks because of Waddle. We’re not playing well enough to win. Trades have nothing to do with it. You’re worried about draft picks yet we’re fine the next two years. We have three 1st round picks and other extra picks the next two years. We’re not losing because of Tua. We lost 4 games with Brissett at QB. Tua played 9 snaps against BUF. What down 7-0 was on him losing 35-0? What about the rest of the team?

You’re both barking up the wrong tree. And once again, I have nothing to do with any of it. LOL

I’m just stating what the deal is. There is no silver lining from me. We’re 1-6 and the only thing left is to develop young players moving forward. How is that spinning anything? It is what it is. You think I like what’s going on?

    • bookman11 says:

My point is this, every year there is an excuse, blah, blah, blah. I have spent 40 years of my life waiting for something different. I am done. How much more patience are we supposed to have? Have fun with it.

  76. wyoming85 says:

  77. Mike E. says:

What good is more picks when we don’t like who we draft anyway?

  78. ocalarob says:

    that damn fest hex!

  79. Tim Knight says:

Flores and his staff are definitely on the hot seat. Grier too. I hope that wasn’t too positive and patient. 😉

  80. bookman11 says:

    No just Herbert

  81. Mike E. says:

Herbert’s on a better team, simple as that. Last year when weren’t good, they didn’t win because of Herbert. It’s a team game

    • bookman11 says:

So they are that much better now, or he is? We were better last year, now worse, they are better, and the reason is obvious, not sure on the logic.

    • Tim Knight says:

Tua is not the problem either. Anyone watching the games can see that. Our defense has been very disappointing. The offense is a work in progress and showing signs of that, but the defense has come up short in big spots constantly. It sucks!

      • bookman11 says:

I don’t necessarily agree. Tua MAY, be the reason. I cannot discount that.

      • Tim Knight says:

We’re 1-6. Tua has played in 3.25 games this year – 1-2. Brissett played in 3.75 games – 0-4. Our defense is at the bottom of almost everything. Our STs have been meh!

  82. bookman11 says:

Why is it so obvious our QB is not the issue?

  83. bookman11 says:

    Coaching?

  84. bookman11 says:

    Talent/drafting?

  85. bookman11 says:

Take your pick. We are failing, and have been for 40 years. Smh

  86. Mike E. says:

Bookman, our QB drives the team for a game winning TD drive. Then our defense loses the game. Which part of that did you miss?

    • Mike E. says:

He went from being a hero to goat without doing anything. Funny how that works.

    • Tim Knight says:

It’s easier to blame the QB even when it’s not that. I hope Tua wins a Super Bowl with some team someday because the cloud people put over him is ridiculous. It’s as if he can’t play. Really?

    • Mike E. says:

Rob, doesn’t matter what happened previous to that, he put the team ahead. Does anyone care when a player strikes out 3 times but hits a 9th inning HR to put his team in the lead?

  87. Tim Knight says:

Tua will have to battle through all the nonsense until it’s not there anymore. Keep competing dude!

  88. bookman11 says:

Do we just forget about the interceptions he threw? Talk about selective memory

  89. bookman11 says:

I used to be a homer, I just can’t do it anymore. 40 years!!!! And that is since an appearance in the SB! This mediocrity crap has to end!
