No more Ndamukong Suh. He’s in Los Angeles, supposedly next to Aaron Donald, who’s holding out. If I haven’t read at least 20 articles written by writers outside of FLA who work for major companies as ESPN, CBS, NFL.com etc that proclaim that because Suh is gone, this defense just can’t be any good. Let’s face facts, this Dolphins defense wasn’t that good with him, so to say his loss will be monumental doesn’t register for me. Enough of Suh, because we’re looking at what we DO have, not what we don’t. As has been said ad nauseam, we’re going to be rotating players on the D-line much more than we have in the past, specifically in the NS era, where he played 971 snaps a season, which is just too much, even for a top 5 DT in the NFL.
Honestly, I say this with no malice, but I think it’s very possible that an average football fan from a different team might not be able to name 1 DT on our current roster. There are no “stars”, and besides the Akeem Spence, who we picked up in a trade with the Lions for a 2019 conditional 7th RD pick, our oldest DT at the moment is 25 years old, and that’s probably our most talented one, Jordan Phillips. With the current philosophy of heavy rotation, the pressure won’t fall on one particular player, although Jordan Phillips will be expected to play at a higher level now, as he’s now “the man”. Let’s take a look at who we have . . .
Jordan Phillips DT – 6’6 341 – 25YO
The 2015 2nd RD pick (Pick#52) came to the Dolphins with a reputation as a DT who has all the physical gifts you could ask for, except the “inconsistent motor” tag. Oh, the dreaded on/off switch and the always included “if this guy ever decides he wants to play, watch out!”. He’s had 3 seasons of “cruising in my opinion, he hasn’t really shown himself to be a consistent player, still “showing flashes”, but nothing totally tangible to grab at. Maybe if he’s rotating in and out more, he’ll give better effort while he’s out there, and I’m sure the coaches are hoping for just that. It’s like a starting pitcher who is thrown into the bullpen, he can just let go for a couple of innings and throw as hard as he can, because he doesn’t have to try and go 9 innings, only 2. 58 total tackles (37 solo) and 4.5 sacks tells me he’s been playing to stay fresh for 9 innings. Time to go out there and kill it every snap young man!
________________________________________________________________
Davon Godchaux DT – 6’3 315 23YO
Godchaux was such a pleasant surprise last season. Last year’s 5th RD pick (178th) had a very promising season. This kid has a great motor, and the results are there to see. He can tackle too, and last year, Godchaux finished with 40 tackles (26 solo). That’s production. Godchaux didn’t register a sack, but I saw him around the QB just missing a few times. This kid has me hopeful, but I love the overachievers. I thought Godchaux showed some good explosion, but he also needs to be more disciplined, as I saw him offsides quite a few times. Those penalties are killer, and I’m sure the coaches are working with him. I look for a little growth from Godchaux, and maybe even a couple of sacks this season.
________________________________________________________________
Akeem Spence DT – 6’1 307 26YO
Spence is the grizzled veteran here, at the old age of 26. This just goes to show you how young this DT rotation is now. Spence is a 5 year veteran who came up with Tampa Bay Bucs for 4 seasons, and played for the Detroit Lions last season. Dolphins DL coach Kris Kocurek was in Detroit last year, and liked Spence, so the Dolphins brought him in. Spence is a capable player who’s used to being rotated in. Last season with the Lions, Spence had a nice season, 39 total tackles (19 solo) along with 3 sacks. Pretty solid for a 3rd guy in, which just goes to show you the potential effectiveness of rotating players more often. I think Spence fits in perfectly here, a guy who knows how to play the game, teach the young guys, doesn’t have a “ME” attitude, and has the ability to start if necessary. Great pickup!
_______________________________________________________________
Vincent Taylor DT – 6’3 306 24YO
The Dolphins drafted Taylor in the 6th RD last season, and I think they got exceptional value from 2 DT’s taken in the 5th and 6th RD’s. Taylor didn’t play as much as Godchaux, but this year he will be in the running for some more snaps, provided he earns them. Taylor played in 13 games, finishing with 18 total tackles (11 solo). He’s not definitely in, but I think it’s Taylor’s spot to lose at this point.
_______________________________________________________________
Gabe Wright DT – 6’3 309 26YO
Wright is a former 2015 4th RD pick by the Detroit Lions. He is definitely at the crossroads here, this being his 3rd team in 3 years in the NFL. The Lions waived him after spending a 4th RD pick on him in early September 2016. He played in 7 games his rookie season, but was unimpressive. The Browns picked him up and put him on their PS. The Browns finally activated Wright in 2016 after appearing in just 5 games, and then the Browns waived him. The Eagles signed Wright of June 2017, then cut him in September. The Dolphins signed Wright at that point and signed him to the PS, where he was finally activated the last game of the season in ’17. This kid has work to do, and he better get at it fast, or he won’t be long for the NFL, which in some cases means Not For Long. BTW, Wright was a projected 2nd or 3rd RD pick in the 2015 draft.
_______________________________________________________________
Jamiyus Pittman DT – 6’1 319 23 YO
Pittman was an UDFA pickup this season after he played right in our backyard at Central Florida. Piitman played both outside and inside at CF, but he will definitely be inside as a DT in the pros. Pittman is going to have to play his best football if he wants to crack this roster. Depending on how many DT’s we carry, last year we carried 4 last season, but keep in mind that DE William Hayes moves to DT in some packages. If we do carry 4, that means Pittman will have to leapfrog both Wright and Taylor, a tall order. If we carry 5, which is pretty likely, especially if the plan is to keep rotating players in, he has a better shot. Pittman was pretty productive at CF, finishing with 138 total tackles (66 solo) along with 13 sacks in 4 seasons.
_______________________________________________________________
Anthony Moten DT – 6’4 315 23 YO
Moten is another UDFA that played in FLA, Moten played for the Hurricanes. Moten was a part time player at Miami, not a starter, but that’s fine considering he would just be part of the rotation early on. Moten was not a combine invitee. Moten played in 27 games in 4 seasons at Miami, finishing with 38 total tackles (14 solo) along with 1.5 sacks. Moten is obviously a longshot to make the cut.
_______________________________________________________________
So that’s where we stand at DT. It’s still possible we pick up a veteran after early season cuts, but my guess is we probably carry 5 DT’s, and I think those will be Phillips, Godchaux, Spence, Taylor, and whichever DT shows the most in the preseason. Wright has the pedigree, and this could be his last chance to get his career in gear, so I give him the slight edge, with Pittman right behind him.

Geez be careful Rob. Do you have ANY help even a spotter in case you get stuck?
I’m hoping i dont have to crawl under there anymore, I have already jaked up both sides. if that floor came down on me it would kill me, there was an air handler right over the old beam and it leaked water on it rotting it, it is still holding however it’s a matter of time now.
i have ripped the floor up over the top of the beam and cut out the walls over it so adding the new one will come from the top
the 2x8x16s have a 2×2 nailed across the bottom and the floor joist are sitting on the 2×2 toe nailed into the 2x8x16 girder. my worry is that if it settles a little i won’t be able to get the 2×2 in there without climbing under it again and with the old girder out that would be very dangerous.

We’ll never hear the end of not trading Gesicki, Smythe, & Ballage for Jackson @32…
Guess we coulda got a TE in the 3rd instead of LB Baker
Totaling (all other things the same)
1a) Fitz
1b) Jackson
3) Just One TE & NO LB/Baker
6) Armstrong
7) Sanders
7) Poling
Or first scenario

I prefer what we actually did/ended up with…
GOFINS!!!
Though I did like Jackson in Miami for o18 over the last three years!!! Too costly to get to 32, considering our dire needs elsewhere!!!
Kong, I didn’t even think of that. A watermellon can’t hang any lower, it is already on the ground. I thought that was one of those statements like “if I were king of the world for a day” that you just ignore because it is so preposterous. 😉
This just in;
The police were called to a local house when neighbors complained of a terrible order emanating from the crawl space. It appears that the owner of the house was making some repairs to the sub-floor when a floor truss collapsed and trapped the man until he passed away. No one had heard from him in 5 days. The owner of the property is said to be a recluse who’s only friends were on-line….
In a related story 2 forty year old former cheerleaders were rescued from another home where they had been chained up naked in the basement since 2006.
thanks for that, i can always count on you to cheer me up!
The more that things change…
Anyway, I go back to 2006-2007 season. I logged in as Wil for my first few years, but someone started to log in as Will and I didn’t want to be confused with anything they said. I miss people like Boulder and NMDolphins, and even though I don’t think he cared much for me, I miss jahndoh- he brought a balance to the board that no longer exists- it leans heavily one way. Piggy tried, but he’s busy with other stuff. I haven’t really been getting into this team for a few years, so I’m not sure about anything. I’ll watch and see what happens.
Hey Try, good to see you. Which way is the blog leaning?
Not important. I’m not a contributor- I doubt I ever added much to the board, truth be told. I’m glad everyone is happy and likes being here. That’s really the important thing.
Straight to Hell if Jahndoh was the one keeping this place….
Yep. The more things change…
Hey Trypod good to see you on here
Thought about you, brother. Lost lots of family members to that fucking disease. I’m glad you’re on the mend.
Hey, if you mean politically, hopefully we don’t go there too often. I miss you, don’t sell yourself short. I always enjoyed your contributions, and I mean that
Great to see you pop up Trypod. Boulder has been here in the last months, but NMDolphins not in a long time, but good guy. And all you have to be to be a contributor is hang out and talk. Just a semi-dysfunctional these days. And less fights than before…. even that is most distinctly “less.” 🙂
Omar speaks on first day of camp.

Stock Up
Frank Gore is entering his 14th season in the NFL, but you’d never be able to tell considering how fast the former Hurricanes standout blasts through running lanes, picking up chunks of yardage. Gore’s jersey is one of the eight for sale in the Dolphins’ Davie Pro shop.
Stock Down
Brock Osweiler has started 25 games in his six seasons in the NFL, but it’s hard to tell he’s a veteran considering how often passes strayed from their intended targets Thursday. If Osweiler, who split the second-team reps with David Fales, was forced off his spot by pressure, his passes were usually off the mark, which explains how CB Tony Lippett pulled down Thursday’s interception.

Trypod:
Thank you for the 6:40 post. I am on the mend and feeling pretty good.
Steve, I was joking about Amendola as being a top target. I’m sure he will be. We didn’t sign him to be on the bench.
Good to see you, TryPod.

SWEET! I feel so much better now.
“Everybody is going to work,” he said. “It’s a team game. There’s 11 people on the field each and every play. On the d-line, there’s four people on the field each and every play, so everybody is going to be confident. (Ndamukong) Suh did a great job for us last year but it’s this year now, so we all have to step up and have more confidence and have more swagger.”
Yeah! Do it!
Yes Davon, study the way THAT guy does it.
YUP!!!
https://twitter.com/ChauxDown/status/1022649357684940800
There’s an old train of thought up here in PA, and I’m sure it’s not exclusive to us, but it goes a little something like this: if a dude has veins POPPING out of his arms (see Cam Wake above), do NOT MESS with that dude. Doesn’t matter how tall or short, young or old, nor light or heavy one is, do NOT MESS with that dude… he’s probably faster, stronger, and in WAY more shape than you’d ever believe.
MR. Cam Wake… you are a BEAST!!!
Yes he is. Time for him to show all the young guys how to work.
Hopefully, we now have a locker room filled with young, hungry, and dying to get better types of players (buh-bye, Suh, Landry, and Pouncey). NOBODY better to learn from than MR. Wake!
Gase guys….
Suh is a beast and nobody can question his work ethic. He just never seemed like a team guy.
Woww Dion Jordan is a projected starter for Seattle, and he’s injured again…
And they just cut their o17 first round pick DE Malik Jackson (serious concussion on ATV post draft, arrest, etc
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24200774/seattle-seahawks-waive-malik-mcdowell-35th-overall-pick-2017-draft
Makes us look stout at DL, even without Suh
Malik MCDOWELL not Jackson
Several on here were high on him last year, myself included. I think we did better though and have for the past several years, yet MTP and our FO gets no respect.
Right? I think the FO has been doing better and better. This year remains to be seen, but I think it’s a solid roster of young and vets.
Pads come on this weekend! Tomorrow just shoulders…Sat and Sun full pads!
Let’s go!
Gase said full pads will start Sunday or Monday.
Watching RT17 post practice media…do any of these idiots listen to it? They just take turns axing the same questions…
TryPod – You have me wondering buddy – What would you like to change here? I’m curious. Hope you see this and get a chance to respond . . .
Happy Birthday Ryan Tannehill
did you get him a cake?
Hopefully not a Miko cake
i think lauren may be jealous of rock.
Mike, why is it that we all think of her when a cake is mentioned? Just be glad your name isn’t a one letter difference from hers😉
Heres why I say the national perception makes no sense. It’s been pretty common to say the Fins are going no where, if Ryan gets hurt, so based on that there must be thoughts that, if he doesn’t get hurt we may challenge for the playoffs and that he really isn’t the 27th best QB in the league.
I mean if he sucks and you replace him with the 2nd string QB what have you lost. I guess these guys don’t get paid to think, kind of like Orob not being able to follow a simple scenario I posted yesterday about RBs.
JBB Orob 😉
I lost interest in the first scenario…i couldn’t read the rest due to your mental deficits,
you just don’t get it.
you have to have manageable 2nd down situations or you will be predictable,
not having this causes you to abandon the run and be pass happy,
teams know what you’re going to do and they prioritize their D in that regard.
it puts pressure on your D as well due to the 3 and outs and the D getting no rest.
you have to run the ball effectively between the tackles to win in the nfl, you can’t get stuffed routinely and then break one for 80 yards.
it’s very flashy for all you morons but it isn’t a winning recipe.
No one is debating that you need manageable second downs, but what we are debating is your tunnel vision on what constitutes a good 1st down play.
so if that’s the case why are you questioning the power stats on drake i provided? having an average of 2nd and 8.2 is no good and you will be predictable.
Because you’re taking one stat, that has more to do with the OL, filtering it, then basing RBs worth on it. This isn’t the ’70s.
greetings from exhausted land, population 1.
Did you move yet?
Not yet Mike. I’ll move my wife and oldest up in a week and then follow with my youngest after a month or two. I still have a big project at my job I’m working on and hope to sell the house by then.
Cool stuff – Good luck!
Steve – I don’t think of that cake when a cake is mentioned, but it would be pretty sick if Rock sent RT17 that cake.
While I’m on the subject moving, I found an old trucker’s hat signed by Joe Robbie and a Dolphin’s watch I never wore. Anyone interested in them?
I bet OD would be. I have a Dolphins watch I did wear, but it no longer works

______________________________
It most certainly could have to do with the OL’s run blocking performance as well, but the RB plays a key role in it.
whatever it takes….the bottom-line is run the ball effectively btwn the tackles. something that wasn’t close to being done in 2017 with drake.
Bottom line is move the football and score points. On the ground in the air, 1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down, 4th down, STs.
Worrying about 2 yards running on 1st down vs 3 or 4 is like bunting/moving the runners over in baseball, it’s old school.
That was my biggest issue with Ballage, from his college tape, indecisiveness in the backfield, but once he gets moving he looks great.
He needs to break slow, especially in practice, until he’s comfortable with the brace. When he got hurt last year it was a quick reaction from Suh’s pursuit.
I honestly think I could mobilize an army based on my ability of getting all our beach gear set up on the beach.
LMAO
Does your gear include 19 yr old barriers?
I’m starting to get past the “thanks for all the plays and good luck to you” stage with Landry.
————–
“I was hurt by it. I became the face of the franchise in Miami, and I don’t think they wanted me to be that. The respect was just never there.”
“When I’d go to talk to Gase about it, he’d curse me out. Why are you telling me how to do my job?’ It got to the point where the environment was just awful.”
How is TC going? Everyone staying healthy and injury free?
Everyone seems healthy, but Tanny is wearing a brace….. which seems the smart move to make at this point. Enjoy the sun and water.
I’d be more surprised if he wasn’t wearing a brace.
I believe Brady wears one too, just preventative gear.
Uppers come on tomorrow, then full pass Sunday or Monday. Today is the last day of no pads.
We already knew he wasn’t getting 20 carries a game, nor do we want him to. What matters is production per touch.
No not exact on Ronnie and Ricky. Am glad they brought Gore in, but he is still a stopgap. Could be the Drake and Ballage show at some point though.
Gore was brought in for leadership, something the media cant comprehend.
I’m ready to give the backup role to Fales. He doesn’t have the skillset of the other 2, but he knows how to play QB. He makes good decisions and doesn’t have the head scratching plays the other 2 and Cutler do, that drive me crazy.
If put into duty, I could see him as a game manager that can make enough plays to win. You can game plan for him and know what you’re going to get instead of the erratic ups and downs.
I am with you Steve.
There was something about him in that Buffalo game that impressed me, not sure exactly what it was, but he just seems like a gamer with good field presence.
We had some 140 yards in penalties in that Buff game,
And had the final possession for the potential T/W,
but #14 instigated a fight that eliminated himself & Drake from that final possession!!!
Minus all them penalties, and especially the last one via #14, and Miami with Fales at QB mighta stopped’Em!!
GOFINS!!!
STOMPED
Some of what Gase had to say today after practice via Joe Schad. Comment on Wilson is especially interesting.
—————————
• Only thing we need to see from Raekwon McMillan now is what he does on the field. He’s really smart and an excellent leader.
• Jordan Phillips does some things athletically a man of that size can’t usually do.
• We know a team we face twice a year (Patriots) uses a three-safety look. Our third safeties can help in run game.
• Charles Harris work so hard, the sacks will come.
• Our defensive linemen are going to play less snaps this season.
• We want to turn Albert Wilson touches into essentially punt returns.
• We think Mike Gesicki will come on as he sees different defenses and we get into more third down and red zone work.
• Frank Gore looks to me like he did 10 years ago. Gore is the last person I have ever doubted.
On Wilson, I’d like to see that too, same with Grant. If the OL protects we’re going to see lots of innovative plays.
One thing don’t know about Wilson is if he can catch the deep pass. If he can the spread formations think we will be using sure could get interesting.
Oh no!!! I sure hope Amendola doesn’t catch 100 balls this year. We all know how horrible it is when one player catches a lot of passes.
I don’t think he catches anywhere near that. I think like 70 tops, and that’s a lot IMO
I’d prefer he didn’t, but I could see it happening. The difference is he’d average more than 7 yards per.
I expect a lot of passes his way, but I don’t think he’ll be on the field as much as Landry was, because of our depth.
I also hope the shorter stuff goes more to the RBs and Wilson.
We’ll see what happens, but think it at least starts with Amendola in the Landry look to guy on “need to pass for a first” downs.
I want Amendola to teach the others the cheats rub route.
Seems like most of the teams that drafted top 10 will be much better this year, except the jets.
Cleveland got an influx of talent, the Gmen, Texans, and Colts get stars/QBs back. TB I missed they’ll be right there with the jets. The Bears are being hyped, not sure I buy it. The Raiders with Gruden are also being hyped, but they seem like a team in turmoil, similar to what Gase got rid of attitude wise in the offseason. Denver now has a QB to go with that D.
“”””“When I’d go to talk to Gase about it, he’d curse me out. Why are you telling me how to do my job?’ It got to the point where the environment was just awful.”””” #14
Why, because the bosses wouldn’t adhere to your demands??
Mom & Dad spoil you rotten,
Or you feel the same about your youth??
Why should Gase listen to that POS that wouldn’t listen to him. Gase had the perfect opportunity to use the Shula you don’t know shit joke.😁
Landry is telling half the story. Gase would probably curse him out because he didn’t do what Gase told him to do. It’s that simple. Landry should just STFU already, he’s not a member of this team anymore, he needs to get past that. I’m sure the Browns would prefer that
Wait until they bring Dez in, Landry will wish he wasn’t so greedy.
“Why are you telling me how to do my job?’”… my first thought was cause that is what coaches are paid to do.
You’ve got it backwards, Gase said, why are you telling me how to do my job, Rosanne.
I agree Steve, “””wait till they bring in Dez”””,
and have THREE SPOILED BRAT GUYS SCREAMING
“”JUST THROW ME THE DAMN BALL”””!!!
Jarvis why does a horse shit balls…
I give Steve, but I bet the reason is pretty funny 😝
Stanger, the reason will be the same why Ryan throws to Danny so much, like he used to throw to Jarvis, because they’re open.
Hope you are right on that. But one dig I have on Tanny is think he gives up on progressions and goes to the safety valve to soon. But heck — that might have made Landry a whole bunch of money.
Cutler threw more to Landry. When the rush is coming you have to get rid of it, and when your best WR is open…
Who would have thought Cutler would do that?
Lol, guys completed
Can we all agree that Landry was and is immature? He let Randy’s posts about him being the best player on the team go to his head.
Yep — and what do you think Suh, Wake, Tanny and maybe even Jones or Drake thought of the “face of the team” comment? Even if you think that you don’t say it unless you hit Marino status.
You don’t need a workhorse back when you’ve got an entire stable. Anyways, everyone knows all this offseason reporting is worthless. Every year there’s a player or two or a storyline that reporters glow about and then the season gets here and it ends up being the opposite.
As far as Landry goes, he should understand this a business. He got the money he wanted. He’s not on the team anymore, move on and win something in Cleveland. Make a statement on the field, instead of sounding like a bitter ex in divorce court.
^^
Claudy Mathieu sounds like a French detective from the 1800’s.
Landry just can’t quit us. Get over it dude. We dumped you months ago.
Phish,
Well, he was our best offensive player, but he was always kind of a dick. Lol
I never claimed he was a good guy…..but coaches in this day and age better know how to coach “me first” selfish, entitled players because you’re gonna have them on your team whether you like it or not. You can’t just fill your roster with “your guys” because you’ll suck.
I’d like to see our top 5 receivers bring in 50-60 each for 250-300
While our TE, RB, & other receivers combined offer up another 100-125
For a total of between 350-425, (preferably somewhere around 380 receptions)
Had 373 on 602 attempts in o17, with 360 rush attempts which was pretty balanced…
Have to have an abundance more of pass attempts to equate to a somewhat equal amount pass receptions in order to achieve a balance of success via the run/pass!!!
Sustaining drives, and minus a 160 attempts to ONE receiver could/should bring us an additional 200 or so plays to a variety of players (minus#14), the additional 40 or so plus plays will come via sustaining drives cuz the D doesn’t know WhoTF the ball might go to on any given play!!!
GOFINS!!!
AND WE GOT OUR QB BACK!!!
Man, those women on Dolphins Daily at frickin hot!!!
are
Herd, what beach are you at?
The one with the 19 year old drunk guys
13kv,
You mean the quarterback who….even in what some consider his best season for us….led this offense to, if I remember right, 17th in total points and 24th in total offense? Lol
All right then, I’ll hope for similar reception numbers with an even lesser QB than you believe 17 to be…
He finishes o16 the way he was playing would have likely increases our O standings for that year…
But you can hate on him all you want, don’t bother me one bit!!!
GO 17,
GOFINS!!!
Randy – Just the last 8 games of ’16. He was playing at a top 10 QB level.
Over 100 QBR!!!
Yup – he plays like that or even a little better the whole season, we’re going to the playoffs
Day two of training camp brought more consistency on the offensive side of the ball. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was on time and on target all morning long, and seems to have complete control locating the football away from coverage.
https://www.miamidolphins.com/news/three-takeaways-from-day-two-of-training-camp
Then there’s Randy and Omar
We should try to stockpile some 2ND and/or 3rd day draft picks for o19!!!
Trade one or two of our not top five receivers to the wide receiver needy Browns or Cowboys?? Carroo etc..
Not Owusu though!!!
I like him as the only big/tall stature clone to Parker!!!
Francis Owusu
Why would anyone give us a pick, let alone day 2 pick, for any of these WRs that will be cut?
Desperation, Dallas lost main targets Dez & Witten
Browns have #14 and bound to be suspended again Josh Gordon…
Maybe them or someone else becomes even more desperate before week one KO??
I’ll take a few extra 3rd day picks, if able to get a team of desperation to bite, one who wants to make sure they get a guy that may become available to all 31 other teams…
Who knows, maybe someone really liked so & so upon their being drafted, and thinks they can turn him into what they want/need??
Yea, unlikely, but I’m a go on such possibilities!!!
GOFINS!!!
CORRECTION;
THIRTY other teams, NO DEALING WITH Pats!!!

Not sure you have to be that coach, different ways to do it. But diva aspect is real clear there.
ORob,
Vermeil is, by all accounts, a really nice guy….and he won a SB. You don’t need to be a dick to be a good HC. You need to be able to communicate with all sorts of personalities in all sorts of ways. People often equate discipline with being a hardass when that’s not really the case. I want a HC who can get the best out of players without having to be a hardass because that’s not gonna work with every player anyway….especially nowadays.
I agree
RT17 continuing to say how last year was invaluable….. let’s turn the negative into a positive.
Maybe the switch was flipped on and here we go!
GO PHINS
13kv,
Hey, I was just posting stats….not sure how that makes me a hater. 😏
Presentation effect…
Horses eat grass
Cows eat grass
Horses shit round balls
Cows shit flat patties
Why?
See I knew you didn’t know shit!
quit copying me….get your own material
LMAO @ Rob, that’s f’n funny, ROF 😂
I read it as if there were a few more “e”‘s after me,
And a few more “”L””‘s after material
You did indeed make me laugh hard though, THANKS 😁
Every day I watch Ryan Tannehill throw passes to Danny Amendola…..
Each day? The TWO days? surely not “every day” Fucking coconut head.
And, “I highly doubt he’ll play 16-games this season. Safeties are gonna be ejected because of those hits.” Guess since Tanny’s last QB rating went above Omar’s Mendoza Line he has to go to other stuff.
Coconut head, too funny
You didn’t know we chand his name to “the Braided Coconut”?
Do now 😁, coconuts kill more in Miami (per year) than do natural disasters, LOL 😏
Interesting read!
Damn never like to see that (well, unless it is a pat or jet) 🙄
It is the part of TC that sucks
LOL, Jets #1 pick QB still hasn’t signed his contract or reported to camp.
Obviously he knows when he signs the contract he will be a stinking Jet. Lol
15 minute video Gase presser post TC practice
GOFINS!!!
I was viewing the BLOOD MOON earlier on a live NASA feed at work, and saw it again on the nightly news… NICE!!! Sucks that we in the States won’t be able to view it in real life this evening, being the event has ended.
Mars looked pretty darn cool last night tho
I didn’t get to see Mars last night (overcast weather), but I should be able to see it tonight. This is the closest Mars is going to be to the Earth for a long time.
And to my fellow Star Wars fans…
Mark Hamill is coming back for Ep. IX, Billy Dee is reprising his Lando role, and Carrie Fisher (RIP) will be in the movie.

ORob,
Vermeil is, by all accounts, a really nice guy….and he won a SB. You don’t need to be a dick to be a good HC

Osweiler is going to have days where you say wow, but then the next day he’s back to his crappy old self, Cutler part2. Fales is more consistant, so he’s my choice.
Same here, Steve. I feel that Fales’ upside and consistency is worth more than the streaky Osweiler… who has likely already peaked. JMO
I think we need to, should, and I have us keeping all 3 QB’s this time around!!!
Petty is the only one that might be PS eligible,
and if he is, I don’t know/think that we’d wanna have to count on him as the 3, or (heavens forbid) the two….
Don’t want Gase to need another 911 to Cutler, or some street bum!!!
I think we keep 17, 8, 9 on the 53!!!
For the short and semi-long term…
Fales & Os are just 27, keeper both for a year,
And see which one rises to the top…
Weird THill & Os are both o12 draftees,
but 17 is two plus years older…
Need a PS QB, so Petty (26, 27 I believe) if eligible,
Unless a more youthful, with more upside finds his way here??
GOFINS!!!
Hope you have clear skies tonight M
It is cool. It was super bright and glowing reddish
Thanks, man. Same to you! If ya didn’t already know, today/tonight is one of the strangest and rarest of celestial alignments. As Jack Horkheimer (RIP) used to say… “Keep looking up!”. 🙂
Patrick sighting at the Shout…
I saw Mars when I was in the Catskill mountains a few weeks ago. Very little if any light pollution, it was clearly visible
LOL @ “it was clearly visible”! 😆
And yes, I KNOW what ya meant! It just sounded funny to me… “clearly visible”. 🙂
ER,
MAN! I just stepped outside to cook some burgers on the grill… 2/3rds of my sky is overcast, but the 1/3rd that’s clear revealed both the bright moon and a VERY bright Mars. I don’t even need any lights on… I can cook under the moonlight, that’s how truly brilliant it is tonight.
I LOVE THIS type of stuff! 🙂
It was pretty cool.
Big red moon with Mars next to it.
You don’t see that every night!
It wasn’t red lol….. my phone obviously was hoping for it. Lol
I think I missed Mars but I could’ve sworn I just saw Uranus. hehehe
Huh-huh-huh, huh-huh-huh… some TP for your Uranus… (Beavis and Butthead) 🙂
Cornholio
Who was at QB for the Best Dolphin first half in history ??
https://youtu.be/4MAW6SfK8cc
Mannn, how fun was that ??
I can see a few like that coming our way in 2018,
because of that QB,
Especially with all the ((new faces & more explosive TD makers))!!!
YEA BABYYY,
GOFINS!!!
35 points in the first 16 minutes, Texans ZERO YARDS!!!
Was that Lt. Dan’s first game as HC? Cant remember that long ago…
best fest ever
“””Best fest ever”””
You Gyz were there???
PARRRTAYYY!!!!
M – Mars looked like a star, it was orange-red, not like a typical star color, but it was bigger than a star. It was pretty damn cool.
LOL ER – Is that what you called Campbell, Lt. Dan?
Who is Forrest is Campbell is Lt. Dan?
#27. Miami Dolphins — another depressing ranking:
According to
https://fansided.com/2018/07/27/nfl-power-rankings-rosters-2018/6/
The key to the Dolphins season is probably going to be their offensive line play. If this group meshes well and plays to their potential, they should be able to keep Ryan Tannehill upright and productive. If they don’t, this group is going to struggle to score points.
The biggest need the team has is for Laremy Tunsil to play like a first round pick. If he can become a league average starter it will really elevate the rest of the group. Josh Sitton and Ju’Wuan James both have Pro Bowl potential. They just need three average guys to play beside them every week.
If the offense can hold up its end of the bargain, the defense could play average football as well. Cameron Wake is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. It would be nice if Miami could find one other standout to play with him in the front seven, but perhaps Raekwon McMillan can become that guy at linebacker.
The drafting of Minkah Fitzpatrick should really help this secondary become competent. The Dolphins are still weak at corner, but his ability to patrol the middle of the field should take the pressure off guys like Cordrea Tankersley and Xavien Howard. It might take Fitzpatrick a few weeks to get up to speed, but expect him to be a solid contributor by season’s end.
If everything breaks right for the Dolphins they could stay in playoff contention for most of the season. There are too many “ifs” on this roster though. They need another good draft (or two) to really become a dangerous postseason threat.
OL starting five good to go in June for the first time in FOREVER!!!
“”””Be nice if they had a guy opposite of Wake”””
ROBERT QUINN, and Wake are the league’s total sack leaders over the last however many years, (several to a handful of years)!!!
“”””Fins are still weak at CB””” you gotta be kidding me???
X
Tank
BMc
Lipp
Cornell Armstrong (he’s a player & absolutely great tackler)
And Fitz
Stout group, ifya ask me!!!
GOFINS!!!

I agree that we should keep 3 QBs so we have a new 1&2 in place if Ryan’s knee fails.
But that means one less position player, and we need depth at DT, LB, DB or TE more than a 3rd QB.
That may be the plan with Bryce Petty. He can’t make the team, but if he can learn the offense, maybe he can be on speed dial in a dire emergency. I do not think he is PS eligible.
If he is too inaccurate to trust, then we could be hoping no one picks up Brock for a back-up so he is available to us later in the season. Of ditto for Fales if we keep Brock as the #2.
As with most teams if you lose your starting QB for any significant length of time you are pretty much toast
“If everything breaks right for the Dolphins they could stay in playoff contention for most of the season. There are too many “ifs” on this roster though. They need another good draft (or two) to really become a dangerous postseason threat.”
So this adds up to a ranking of #27? LOL
Completely ignored the Quinn pickup, the Wilson and Amendola pickups, and the emergence of Drake, and the fact that McCain played very well last season, and Howard and Tank both finished strong.
What team doesn’t need things to break to right for them?
I don’t care what anyone says mike…we are a damn good team in the off-season!
Right! I think
i think getting rid of pouncey and the new ol we picked up in fa will be the best move so far.
LMAO – I’m calling a patient to notify them their glasses are ready, and I see the address is 11 Camelot Dr, and I saw Cameltoe – Ken is STILL a bad man. lol
Rob – We’ve had trouble getting short yardage conversions forever. Kilgore should help us there, Sitton too. Gore will as well.
-from another site:
To begin, Miami looks like the number three team in Florida. Walter Football ranked the Dolphins #32 and commented: “could be the worst team in the NFL.”
ESPN Power rankings moved them up a notch to #30. PFF online kindly ranked them #20. PFF ranked the Dolphins run defense a depressing #32.
Why are we ranked so low?
because we lost our RB coach, OL coach, and OC.
and on D
we lost our DB coach and our DL coach.
Why are we ranked so low?
Last year’s offense only went 6-10 and got worse
because we lost last year’s starting and backup QBs,
and we lost last year’s starting and backup Centers,
and we lost last year’s starting and backup TEs
and we lost last year’s starting and backup RBs,
and we lost last year’s #1 WR in catches, yards, and TDs.
No wonder ppl think we’ll suck.
Why else are we ranked so low?
Last year’s defense only went 6-10 and got worse
because we lost last year’s starting and backup CBs,
and we lost last year’s starting and backup MLBs,
and we lost last year’s starting DT and backup DE
and we lost last year’s starting and backup Safeties,
and we lost last year’s #1 #3, #4, & #5 ST players..
No wonder ppl think we’ll suck on both sides of the ball.
