What might the Dolphins O-line look like?

If Connor Williams will be a fixture at center, then the alignment I have up top may well be what we see to start the season. Or, perhaps they flip Liam Eichenberg and Austin Jackson, so Eichenberg plays RT with Jackson inside at LG. Or maybe Michael Deiter moves to one of the guard spots. My thought though is if we’re looking for the most athletic players in the outside zone blocking scheme, then these are the 5 players. Everything is fluid though, they haven’t even strapped on pads yet, but there’s no harm in speculating away, since at this point, it’s all we can do.

Connor Williams appears to like playing center though, and he’s far more athletic and capable of getting into second level blocks than his predecessor, Michael Deiter. One thing I can say is this is a BIG O-line. Athletic, but BIG. If it stays as currently constituted, with every linemen at 6’5 or taller, and at the moment, Eichenberg the lone member under 320 pounds. I loved watching Solomon Kindley here, he’s a mauler, but I don’t think he fits the scheme we’re running with now. I suppose he could drop some weight and gain some quickness, but he’s a small area operator for best results, and this offensive line will be all about movement, angles and getting a body on a body just long enough to get him out of the play. That doesn’t mean this O-line won’t be physical, aggressive, but it’s based on lots of motion from most of the line, not just one on one beating the person immediately in front of you, there’s a lot of teamwork.

The good thing from my perspective is no matter who plays where, our depth will be much better. I can’t say it enough times, no reason to give up on the young talented players we drafted in ’20 and ’21 like Austin Jackson and Liam Eichenberg. These guys will be at the very least average NFL starters and with better coaching, more than that. If the line plays out like I put up on top then you have Deiter and Kindley as depth on the interior, and Coleman, Jones and Little on the outside with the possibility of still adding someone after June 1st cuts. I know there will always be some folks who think we didn’t do enough on the O-line, (you know who YOU are), but if you’re one of them, you’re simply discounting the aforementioned young players in Jackson and Eichenberg. These guys have to be given the opportunity to be good NFL players because they should be. Is it possible we pick up a veteran center like J.C. Tretter? Of course. We were extremely “comfortable” with Deiter not too long ago at C, and now it’s Williams. Adding Tretter just adds more talent and another starter and makes the line even better, but not sure if it’s in the cards, or the cap.

I tried with a knife. I stopped with that when it slipped and I almost stabbed myself. I’ll survive. I go home tomorrow for a week and then back here again for a week. My sister and I are taking turns. She’s at the point she shouldn’t be left alone. Even when I was here this week she managed to cause some near disasters not to mention appearing in several zoom meetings while I was working.

No, nobody said that Stanger misquoted the soundbite. However, it wasn’t in context, and context IS important. That’s what was missing there.

Steve called Stanger out for the intention spin, and I agreed with Steve. Problem solved, the end.

If you were to re-read my OG post, you’d realize what I’m talking about. Should I stand up for what I believe in, or should I cower for the sake of pleasing everybody? You called me out for NOT sticking up for Ricky Williams… that I SHOULD stand up for what I believe in.

I’m not trying to be a dickhead to you, man… but which way is it with you? YOU seem to either respect one for their beliefs or berate one for their beliefs. Seems there’s no pleasing you… I can’t bend both ways, Krishna.

I know it is late, but Herd could have tried the shoe method to open the wine.

Put the bottom of the bottle in a shoe. Hold the shoe in one hand and the neck of the bottle in the other. Hold the bottle horizontal and in one sweeping motion hit the heel of the shoe against a hard wall (not drywall). It will cause a vibration and pressure inside the bottle and begin to push the cork out. Once the cork is about half-way out, kind of twist and pull to get it the rest of the way out. The shoe is just to keep from breaking the bottle so start out hitting lightly then a little harder as you get more confident. It also depends on the type of shoe. I was a guy do it at a party once.

‘This is the Renaissance.’ Ricky Williams speaks at cannabis conference in Miami
BY DANIEL OYEFUSI UPDATED JUNE 04, 2022 12:38 PM

Ricky Williams landed in Miami Thursday night and in the middle of a blunt, he couldn’t help but think back to 20 years ago.

“A large majority of my story with cannabis” started about two blocks from where he spoke at the sixth annual Cannabis LAB Conference & Expo at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Miami Friday morning.

The former Dolphins running back was traded from the New Orleans Saints to Miami in March 2002, right when “I just really became a smoker” and he was looking for a “hookup” in a new city.

And so this search for marijuana led Williams from his home in Fort Lauderdale to the parking lot of a dentist, where “some guy came out with a big bag.”

      Loading video
Williams’ use of marijuana during his NFL career has been well documented and for most of his playing days carried a negative stigma, as he left the game shortly before 2004 training camp and was later suspended for an entire season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.

Years later, he returned to Miami to speak about the positive effects of the plant for him, not only as a player — helping his physical recovery and anxiety — but post-retirement.

“My personal experience with cannabis is that it was something that was enhancing the quality of my life,” he said during his 11-minute keynote address.

Williams, who legally changed his name to Errick Miron, spoke about the crossroads he faced when he landed in the league’s drug program for repeated failed tests and how he “rolled the dice” with his decision to retire from the NFL.

Williams, now 45, spent that time away from the game traveling around the world, including India, where he learned about yoga, meditation and astrology.

“What I found was, I didn’t throw my life away,” he said. “It was actually the opposite. …. We grow up. As time goes on, we learn more about ourselves. We usually come to certain moments where we get this flash about who we really are. … This was a place I was in. I thought this is what I wanted to be but obviously I gave it all up so there must be something more.”

Williams returned to the Dolphins in 2005, serving a four-game suspension for his failed drug test and then was banned for the entirety of the 2006 season for another violation. He returned to play five more seasons, his final with the Baltimore Ravens, and announced his retirement after the 2011 season. Williams finished his career with 12,615 total yards and 74 touchdowns.

In the years that followed, Williams continued to smoke, more than happy to stay “low-key” and free from the specter of the league’s drug-testing program.

But then Kyle Turley, a former offensive lineman and Williams’ teammate in New Orleans, invited him to speak at a 2015 cannabis conference in Phoenix.

After wrestling with a decision, Williams agreed, seeing it as an opportunity to “come out of the shadows” and “be more my authentic self instead of compartmentalizing and hiding parts of myself.”

Williams, who now lives in Los Angeles, said telling his story publicly was “cathartic” and the reception was positive.

Connor Nelson, from medical marijuana dispensary Cannabist, works his booth during the 6th Annual Cannabis Lab Conference & Expo at the Hyatt Regency Miami on Friday, June 3, 2022 in downtown Miami, Fla. MATIAS J. OCNER mocner@miamiherald.com

“Probably 20 people came up to me and basically told me I was their hero,” he later told the Miami Herald. “I had never knew this because it’s been on the hush. But speaking publicly about it, I started to get feedback about people that were going through the same struggles I was going through. And because of my story, they were encouraged to keep on pushing through. And so I realized, wow, I affect more people when I share my story than when I hide it. And I felt the pressure then to keep telling the story.”

Last year, Williams took his greatest leap in the cannabis industry, launching the lifestyle brand Highsman, a play-on-words to the Heisman award he won as the nation’s top college football player. The brand sells “personally curated cannabis products” including cannabis, related accessories and streetwear merchandise. It first launched in California, Nevada and Oregon — all states that allow recreational use — and is moving into Pennsylvania and Massachusetts in the fall.

“You can’t take the football player out of me,” he said. “The way that I go about business is the same way that I was trained to go about the football field. And so much about that is the team.”

Chad Davis, an employee at Boveda, grinds “Bubba Kush” an indica marijuana strain at his booth during the 6th Annual Cannabis Lab Conference & Expo at the Hyatt Regency Miami on Friday, June 3, 2022 in downtown Miami, Fla. MATIAS J. OCNER mocner@miamiherald.com

“Ricky is actually the perfect spokesperson for cannabis,” said Robert Friedman, the founder of the expo which brings entrepreneurs, investors and legal experts together. “One, because a lot of people in the industry have suffered to get to where it is now. And no one may be more than Ricky in terms of being kicked out of the NFL … And now stadiums are being named after him.”

In recent years, more athletes, current and former, have continued to speak about the benefits of marijuana use, with Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant recently likening it to a glass of wine.

The NFL has also softened its stance on marijuana. In the collective bargaining agreement passed in 2020, the league eliminated suspensions for positive marijuana tests, reduced the testing window to the first two weeks of training camp and increased the threshold for a positive test.

Alicia Amor attends the 6th Annual Cannabis Lab Conference & Expo at the Hyatt Regency Miami on Friday, June 3, 2022 in downtown Miami, Fla. MATIAS J. OCNER mocner@miamiherald.com

“So much of our conditioning around this plant has been negative … but there’s still lingering pieces,” Williams said. “Even the whole idea of medicinal marijuana. I honor the idea that marijuana is great, it helps us feel better. But to me, there doesn’t have to be something wrong with you for you to feel better.”

In March 2019, Florida passed a bill allowing smokable medical marijuana to be sold in treatment centers to patients with a medical marijuana card. Recreational use remains illegal but local law enforcement has softened their prosecution of minor possession cases.

Williams predicted that when made fully legal, Florida will be “one of the top three states” for the industry.

“Unfortunately, 1937 until about 20 years ago, there is big Prohibition, Dark Ages,” he said. “And now we’re coming out. And this is the Renaissance.”

If you go by the standard set in our top 3 (top 2 or 3 at a position), then that’s all we have, but we do have lots of good players and you don’t need any more than 3, as long as they’re at the right positions

Our style of O shouldn’t require a top QB, just one that is better than Jimmy G

Yeah, that is one I didn’t agree with. You can’t call someone learning a position a loser off 2 bad snaps and he didn’t really know if it was Conner or not. I’m not worried about it. I wouldn’t call him a putz though, he’s just a guy like us (Dolphins Fan) with an opinion.

        Making up arguments?

So there’s no argument out there about gun control?

Every video is about a current argument.

From the right we understand what can happen, if they take away our guns, we got a little snippet from the mob in StLouis, if that wasn’t enough to raise the hair on the back of your neck…

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

You laugh about it, but gun control is serious

Some of the things said in the video MF13 has talked about, and why mass shootings seem to ramp up around election time

I don’t think that’s a coincidence either, if it’s not they’re killing our children on purpose

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

If you boil it down to”there’s no argument about gun control” I guess it might appear accurate

But that’s an extreme generalization. The arguments he projects on people he disagrees with on the subject are made up. It doesn’t matter if there is a legit topic of discussion if the actual arguments about them are products of your imagination.

Within seconds of beginning he says “in response to the mass shooting, just as the media is directing me to”

That’s a made up argument. That’s Insufferable condescension in the first few syllables of the clip.

According to multiple sources, when it was Tagovailoa’s turn to stand in front his teammates to make his pitch he basically encouraged them to vote for someone else, supposedly telling the room no matter what he’d remain a leader, then abruptly sitting down.

“It wasn’t exactly the inspiring speech his teammates needed, or wanted. Many players concluded that Tagovailoa didn’t want the job, the responsibility, possibly because it meant having more interaction with Flores, whom he was developing a frosty relationship with, which would contribute to Flores’ dismissal.”

You can’t say ‘I understand you’re out there on social media and you’re crushing me so stick it.’ No. Because more people will jump on that, and now, every single time he short arms a pass more people will say he shouldn’t have a job, and the media in Miami will publish this stuff. It’s a fight you can’t win. It’s insane.”

    — Tony Kornheiser on Tua
    —————
WOW! And I already didn’t like Kornheiser to begin with. What a d!ck!

I think I speak for the vast majority of us that I want Tua to make all of these media members eat their words and then some… and that’s putting it lightly.

  38. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I don’t get it either. The media forgot their “Tank for Tua” mantra in 2019 because circumstances changed. We won too many games and Tua suffered a hip injury that threatened his career. But the jackasses didn’t stop there.

  39. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Media loves to call out top picks, they think are or will be busts, like it gives them credibility

They also need something to talk about, that people will listen to and read

They’re too into themselves to really care what Tua does

  40. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

In the back of my head I have stuck Tua’s accuracy, everyone that talks about him says, but he’s very accurate

Some day these QBs like Allen, Jackson, and Herbert will loose a step and won’t be able to use their wheels to get out of trouble, then will have to fall back on accuracy from the pocket, which they don’t have, while Tua won’t have that issue

Last year we showed the NFL the blueprint to beat Jackson, and he wasn’t effective afterwards, Flores in Pitt surely will make it difficult for him twice a year

How long can Allen continue to take the pounding he does?

Once he starts worrying about it he won’t be the same player, history tells us these guys start breaking down after 5 years, with some exceptions like Russell Wilson

  41. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Steve, I agree with you. Baker and Tindall will spy the running QBs that we have to face especially in the AFC. It’s like chess and a matchup game. Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Herbert etc.

I can see 3-2-6 being used a lot. We have DBs that can cover playing the LOS or blitz the backfield. Our defense morphs from blitz to coverage.

I used to like Rich Eisen, but this is just a stupid as hell “hot take”

Rich Eisen has wild belief about the future of the Dolphins QB position

He says it is more likely that Brady is the QB in Miami next season than it is that Tua will score a combined (passing & rushing) 30 TD’s this season.

Can we just put this bull shit garbage behind us? FFS!

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I used to like him too, but he’s too conformist for my liking

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Tua had 16 td passes and 3 tds rushing last season in just under 12 games

Projecting that out to a 17 game schedule it’s 27, including the 3 rushing tds

If, and maybe a big if, he plays 17 games I think it’s a no-brainer he gets to 30

Eisen didn’t do much research on this, and Brady isn’t going to QB the Fins ever

Throwing more fire into it, I thinks it’s more likely, that Ross loses the team, than Tua doesn’t combine for 30, and if Ross is gone, then zero chance they even speak to Brady

  48. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I used to like him too, but he’s too conformist for my liking

  49. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

So I have a question. They give out an orange jersey to the best practice player from the day before. Do they have one already made for each guy just in case or is some Dolphins equipment guy working overtime after practice (once the coaches get around to deciding who was ‘best’) to create a new one on demand!?

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

They have blank jerseys on hand and just have the uniform person do what’s necessary to get it ready for next practice

The highly football political orange jersey. Does anyone really think it goes to the best player from practice or are they just giving it to who they want based on what message they want to convey

  50. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Back to the Eisen comment, I don’t think two TD’s per game is very much for a top 16 QB. By picking under you are basically saying he will be trash.

  51. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

I think Alain Poupart from SI is one of the best Dolphins Beat writers working right now. Here is his response to Mike Westhoff’s comments;\

Mike Westhoff, former special teams coach, said even at this early stage the practice he saw (Thursday) was the worst NFL practice he’s ever seen and he was shocked! O. Kelly also said practice was horrible but we only heard about 2 bombs thrown and one sucked Your take?

Yeah, it’s pretty interesting how the narrative following practice was all about the two long passes, which became even more the story because of Tua’s comments. I did hear Westhoff’s comments live when he made them and I frankly was shocked because he wasn’t having any of the Tua lovefest because of the two long completions. Now, I think there’s some exaggeration both ways here. First off, if anybody wants to believe what some have put out there about the two bombs being in stride, go for it, but that’s not accurate. Hill had to slow down a bit for the second one and the ball wasn’t thrown over his shoulder on the first. That said, they were two long completions, so points for that. The rest of practice was meh, but it certainly wasn’t the worst practice I’ve ever seen and I also wouldn’t use the word “horrible.”

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

They’re installing a new O, you can’t dance with style until you have the moves down

He’s a Tua hater, so he’s going to bash, if he’s such a prick, why or who invited him?

Don’t think Tua said anything about it being a great practice, he just mentioned the 2 completions downfield being money

When was the last time anyone saw a game where a perfect bomb was successful in stride, with a defender anywhere close to the receiver?

Why even try to do that? The important thing is completing as many as possible, not 1 perfect 1, whatever trajectory does that use it, unless a lower trajectory is needed to get the ball in quicker on a given play

  52. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

So our guys haven’t perfected the entirely new offense being installed in the whole month they’ve had, and they had a less than stellar practice that one day. 🤔

  53. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Tua completed a bomb to Hill, but you could see on the catch that Hill’s arms were bent at the elbows at an angle slightly less than 90 degrees which means technically he had to slow up for the catch. A good throw the receivers arms would be between 90 and 180 degrees in extension for the catch meaning he was running full speed the whole way.

DBs probably won’t even bother covering guys deep during games after seeing footage of that throw. Even math says Tua sucks.

If Tua has 30 TD’s and 4000 yards and plays 17 games and the team wins 11 games and makes it to the playoffs, there is a subset of society that is going to say “yeah, but it’s because of the team around him, imagine if they had gotten Watson or Brady”

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

In a typical season, that would be a disappointing record, but with how tough the AFC will be it might be as good as it gets with those stats

Buffalo on paper looks like the best team in the NFL, maybe it’s a good thing the AFC is tough

Teams like Pitt and NE might be 9-8 teams if this year was typical or with the tough AFC either might be 6-11

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Does anyone take into account Tua was asked about his arm strength by the media so he answered it? He didn’t start it or tweet it, he was asked about it. Some people are just clueless about facts in life. LOL

  82. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Ryan has a big arm, one of these passes actually went 60 yards, but the trajectory isn’t much different than Tuas, the ball doesn’t get there any faster and slower, if you count when throwing motion starts.

He had trouble throwing deep, until he took a little off his throws

  83. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Another thing that people forget about are QBs with very strong arms but lack accuracy and they overthrow receivers or they’re way off the mark. What good is that?

  84. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I can see it now. In the first game against the Pats Tua could hit Waddle for a 72 yard TD with the throw 53 yards in the air but right on the money and the rest was YAC. Then he could hit Hill on a 56 yard TD with the throw only 39 yards in the air but again right on the money and the rest was YAC. The naysayers will say but can he throw it 60+ in the air? LOL

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I’d rather the shorter distance with YAC, Tampa2 25 yards off the ball, with the middle wide open

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Oh I agree was just trying to make a point about the naysayers. This is all ridiculous to me. Most pass plays in the NFL are not 20+ never mind 50+. I’ll take crisp 7-8 yard slants that can go for 20+ or a 25 yard in the air deep crosser with YAC all day long.

You know what they call that? Practice! 😉

Lol, Tua working on the rainbow throw

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

It was an example by me and only me. What do you do when you practice anything? You try different things and try to get really good at some of it.

For the record Mahomes under-threw Hill a bunch. It’s all over Hill’s highlight reels.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I think he has the rainbow throw down, which is ironic being from Hawaii

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Okay but a rainbow throw to Hill might take too much time because there is more of a circle trajectory but less velocity to the point and he outruns it. That pass might actually go further but slower. Duper did that to Marino. Then there are passes where Marino would throw more of a laser right on time.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Hill was already Hill with Alex Smith before Patrick Mahomes. Let’s see how he does without Hill bailing him out when he scrambles around and can’t find anyone open. Mahomes is not a good rhythm passer. He’s an improv guy with good legs and a strong arm. His blankie is Travis Kelce, his savior was Tyreek Hill.

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Agreed…and he had time to still fuck up…lol

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I know this sounds like blasphemy but I think Mahomes is overrated even though I like him. He’s exciting to watch play. But he has major flaws in his game. He also has a great HC in Andy Reid who knows what he’s doing and a good overall roster around him. It’s not all about Mahomes.

My good friend who’s in the same FFL as me has both Mahomes and Hill and we have talked about the ups and downs of Mahomes even though he puts up numbers and plays in big games. But we’ve both seen him play erratically the last couple of years. The Chiefs haven’t gotten better since they won the Super Bowl, they’re falling shorter every year even though they still play in big games. We both think it’s because of Mahomes. He’s not getting better as a QB, he’s relying on his physical skills and the talent around him. Anyone who thinks losing Hill isn’t a big deal is delusional.

That said, this might be the year where Reid pushes him to be more cerebral and speed up his reads as opposed to sandlot improv football. We have not seen that yet.

By the way my friend knowing I’m a Dolphins fan said are you interested in trading for Hill. I told him you’d be a fool to trade him because of the Tua bashing you keep hearing. Do what you feel you need to do, but I have my protects and I’m not trading for him just because he’s a Dolphin.

I always seemed to be rooting for KC in big games, and noticed the same thing, he isn’t all that all the time, he’s really good with the game on the line though

I think there’s a hidden message in Hill saying how accurate Tua is, think he’s referring to the comparison with Mahomes

He tries to be too coy and ends up making late weird angle passes, that are hard to pick up for receivers

Live up to the hype? Lmao….

Whose hype is that? TWs and CWs? Ok…lol

Steve, to me it’s like a pitcher comparison. You have a guy who can throw 100+ with great arm talent but is wild and has trouble throwing strikes even though when he does he can overwhelm you. Then you have a guy who can throw 94-95 but he hits his spots, throws strikes on a regular basis and gets out of innings more efficiently.

Accuracy is one of the most important aspects of sports. Wayne Gretzky had the best accurate slap shot of all time. But it wasn’t from the blue line. It wasn’t the fastest at 120mph, but he put it where he intended it to go.

That’s how I view Tua. He has that natural instinct. Now he has more explosive players around him to make more big plays.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Exactly, everyone that bashes Tua always mentions…but he is very accurate, they know he isn’t a JAG, just bashing him, because Herbert was drafted behind him and has been great

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

There are reasons for Herbert’s faster start…lol. Let’s start with dislocated hip and broken ribs….omfg

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Hebert is impressive physically but has won nothing. It’s a team game. You don’t win on an arm and legs alone. A lot of it is about timing and a team bonding and staying healthy.

The thing I like is everyone is focused on Tua and the offense and our defense knocks the snot out of teams. Tua is only winning because of defense. I say cool… he’s not losing games either jackass. LOL

Greg Maddux was one of the slowest pitchers in baseball, but he sure could put that ball right where he wanted.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I love this example. He was a wizard. He maybe only topped out at 92mph but threw in the 80’s with movement, placement and change of pace. One of the best pitchers I’ve ever seen. He was also a multiple gold glove winner and would make hitters hit it right back to him. The guy won 355 games. As a Mets fan when we faced Maddux I would say just win the series because today is not likely. He was the art of pitching. One of the best ever and the opposite of Nolan Ryan. 😉

Well said. Maddux was amazing. If the phrase ‘paint the corners’ was going to be expressed in a picture, the picture would be a Greg Maddux pitch.

It was I’m smarter than you. That’s what Gretzky did. Physical skills matter but seeing things on a different level psychologically is a special gift.

PROVING IT’S NEVER TO LATE TO FOLD, COLORADO AVALANCHE FANS THOUGHT there boys were going to complete a four game sweep tonight at the arena formerly known as the Northlands Coliseum. (OOPS, “their” boys.)
    ————–
Leading 3-0 in games and ahead 1-0 in the 2nd period of the 4th game, The Avs decided it was time to snooze and promptly gave up 3 quick goals to the Oilers and their suddenly crazed fans!!
NOW look at the mess they’ve created!!
    ————-
OILERS’ FANS are praying for a blowout win tonight, just when a SWEEP seemed inevitable. Taking out a couple of AVS’ players would also be well received in the northern most city with more than 700,000 people about 250 miles north of the U.S. border. As my Uncle who lived over 50 years in Edmonton once told me, “There’s a time to make babies and a time to win hockey games. THIS IS A TIME TO WIN HOCKEY GAMES!” (Well I’m sure as shit glad he didn’t get the two things confused during their very long winters!).
    ————-
ANYWAY, I don’t even think Avs’ fans would be too upset about blowing ONE game in this series. But, should they drop a 2nd straight game, some of the old Avalanche ghosts of bygone collapses might rear their ugly faces again!!
    ————
Personally, I’m hoping tonight’s game serves as a nice warm-up for tomorrow night’s main event in Tampa featuring the Lightning and the Rangers! — GO BOLTS!!

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Easy there partner, you’d surely take the 3-1 lead they have. I’d rather they swept the Oilers, more rest isn’t always good as the Lightning found out
