The All-22 shows hot and cold Tua, he needs to and will get better, but do they really need to scrutinize every movement he makes?
For fuck’s sake…one play he missed Sherfield near the 5 yard line, looked like he moved to quickly to avoid pressure, causing poor mechanics. He may have gotten hurt, if he used proper mechanics
There’s a reason Herbert makes plays on 4th down. He didn’t get it done on earlier downs
No QB is perfect, and none need to be
You watch week one and Tua is the only one under a microscope. It’s hilarious! LOL
According to the Associated Press, McDaniel became the second coach in NFL history to win a game against a coach who has at least 321 wins more than him. The other was Dave Wannstedt (12 wins), who defeated Don Shula (334 wins) and the Dolphins on Nov. 13, 1994, while coaching Chicago.
Cool, so in 2036, when belicheat passes Shula he can retire at 84

Howard deflected a pass in the endzone that was intercepted by Holland on New England’s first possession. It was Howard’s 37th pass defended since 2020 – most in the NFL in that span – and Holland’s third career interception in just his 17th career game.
Defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah got to Mac Jones for his first sack of the season. He’s led Miami in each of the past two years in sacks with nine in both 2020 and 2021. He’s part of just a trio AFC players, including Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt and Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, with at least nine sacks in each of the past two seasons.

Baldinger says he thinks X batted that ball TO Jevon, not randomly, because he just knew Holland would be there.
It looked like a damn volleyball set to me.
It looked that way to me too.
I think he even turned his head to watch the int, this goes back to Holland holding X accountable in practice
X’s turn, ok mfer, I got a perfect tip for you, you better catch it or I’m going to be all over your ass
Gee
do ya think the Melvin Ingram signing might pay off?
^ and hope Flowers’ signing will have the same impact.
I had no doubts after watching him in training camp
Bringing Flowers in will allow us to keep guys fresh, while maintaining the talent level
Our D gets worn down, and ineffective, when front 7 get tired
Man, that girl was super cute and funny as hell. Humorously clever!
Thanks for posting that. Hope she does one every week!
And got cuter after the little shimmey😜
Jones and Holland blitzes will be key on Sunday, contain Jackson and make him stay in the pocket
Would love to see Tindall spy him..
Is he still out?
out?
I don’t think Tindall was hurt.
Our defense always give up some yards but then they blow it up.
I think we even did well in yardage this game against the Pets- top 10.

On Tua: Tua hasn’t been satisfied at all so he keeps building. It’s his first year in the offense and first time we’re working together so I want to see him focus on the stuff that he was frustrated with, but also want to see his confidence continue to grow.

Coach on difficulty defending speed on O: You can’t just be a fast guy. When you’re fast and you can play strong and have a diverse route tree, it’s an issue because you can expand the field/defense faster

Coach says that he sets it up where his coaches are the head coach of their particular group when asked about Josh Boyer and the input they both have on the defense. Talks about trusting and delegating (even mentioned earlier it helps him get a little more sleep).
The only other QB to go 4-0 against Bill Belichick besides Tua is John Elway.
And our HC comes from that tree, expect more of the same going forward
^
Woah!
Hopefully it doesn’t mean one of our guys is seriously injured
MRI on Austin Jackson’s ankle might’ve meant he’s out for a few games.
Could mean he didn’t like what he saw with Little
Mitch Trubisky says Pittsburgh Steelers offense needs to be aggressive, have ‘killer mindset’
No you need to Trubisky
Hey BBM
Shell is from Goose Creek SC (next door to Charleston)

Chip (off the old) blocking?
Finally getting plenty of love from the networks.
Oh.
My neck of the woods gets jets v browns
I would rather watch paint dry
New England v Pitt was a good great match up in 2019…
Not sure which team losing Pitt or NE helps us more, so I’ll go with the cheats to lose just, because I hate them
Trubisky is horrible though, so I expect the cheats to win
ok
ok
Way to pull that out of your ass Barry, I mean why make a general assumption, that means nothing
We could see Barry write an article with good content top, but I’ll put that in the Longshot category
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel would not commit to LT Terron Armstead (ankle) and RT Austin Jackson (ankle) playing in Week 2.
Jackson’s ankle injury has improved, per McDaniel, though he remains a question mark for this Sunday against the Ravens. Missing both tackles against a ferocious Baltimore front seven that pressured Joe Flacco throughout their Week 1 victory in New York could put Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami offense in a tough spot. Pro Football Focus graded Miami’s pass blocking as the eighth worst in Week 1 following a 2021 season in which the offensive line struggled weekly to protect
It’s Wednesday, who commits on Wednesday?
🍺 – Stanger
Not sure why — but I’ll drink it… gladly. 🙂
Hopefully it’s not too bad with Armstead. He did go back into the game after his injury.
“Armstead, one of the team’s prized offseason acquisitions, missed two plays against the New England Patriots on Sunday before returning to the game after being evaluating in the medical tent. While his injury was not reported in the press box on game day, Armstead appeared to sustain some sort of leg injury.”
https://www.si.com/nfl/dolphins/news/miami-dolphins-dealing-with-major-injury-issues-on-offensive-line
jeez he missed 2 plays.
Wonder what it is that makes some guys constantly get nicked up like that?

Cool!!
Kader Kohou — shouldn’t he be a nickle back?
He did well on the boundary in PS. I think he could play both.
Three starters were missing: FB Patrick Ricard, DL Calais Campbell and OLB Justin Houston.

My guess would be vet rest.

why does my oven have a “rapid pre-heat” button? Can you guys think of a situation where you would say “Nah, take your time pre-heating” Why is this not the base option?????
Uses more energy? don’t know
Sounds like one for Kong, but guessing has to do with energy conservation.
The way I understand it, rapid preheat uses all the oven elements at once along with the fan, so I’d assume standard preheat is about energy conservation.
It might be said, well if it heats up that much quicker, isn’t it 6 one way and half a dozen the other? I assume the data would suggest otherwise.
On my dumb oven, the rapid preheat function kicks off when the oven reaches a balmy 175 or so, then goes into normal preheat, so screw that function anyway, lol.
Might just depend on how much foreplay a given oven needs. 🙂
maybe just bragging?
Or has a quick trigger 😉

Chiefs vs Chargers on Prime Video
May have to watch at casino
Not sure who I want to win, guess KC, their winning seems to be better at this time
here
Wilson being dinged up could open the door for EZ to get some snaps
Wilson did nothing
I know it was mentioned earlier, but Pets at Steelers is not the premier matchup anymore you dumb network.
I agree but some think because of the 2 HC’s records of success, that their teams have a certain name recognition with casual followers of sport, as in EVERYBODY’s heard of those 2 guys.
Personally I think the NFL is throwing a bone to Flo.
And to the steelers for taking him in to help get the heat off the NFL.
There’s also the undercurrent of “last season for BB” drama
and the fascination of watching “the Fall of the Mighty.”
McDaniel said he was so late getting several plays in that Tua had to call plays himself or there would not have been time to get everybody lined up.
Coach going through his own growing pains.
Gaskin did not get a single snap last week.
Maybe we should put Kohou on Mark Andrews and see if we can hold him down to 50 yards.
I heard the Packers have lost their entire OL so far. Yikes!
How are we the #1 seed in the AFC?
It’s silly, but fun.
We’re ahead of the Chiefs because they played out of conference.
We’re ahead of the Bills because we’re 1-0 in the division so we have a better division record.
We’re ahead of the Ravens and Browns because they are eliminated by the Steelers in their division.
We’re ahead of the Steelers and Chargers because of a better combined points for and points against (bigger margin of victory).
Woohooo!!! #1 seed!!!
LOL
lol, I guess if I’m being super technical, the Chiefs are eliminated by the Chargers in their division before conference play becomes a factor 😂
I’m nervous about having the bye, we might lose our mojo.
Kong speaks truth. LOL at least until tomorrow night we are #1 seed.
I would LOVE for them to score 40 while keeping the Ravens to under 20 but I can’t believe yet. That is why I picked the turd emoji to win in Howie’s list
Ravens have had our number for so many years, it’s hard not to expect a loss. We haven’t won in Baltimore since 1997.
I don’t care if we win 6-3, just win baby!
It matters later in the season as our joking around about us being #1 demonstrates. Tie breakers.
Just goofing around dude. Let’s worry about that when we’re like 11-4.

I’ve got tears coming down my face!!! LOL
I’m pretty sure we’ll have Armstead (toe) for this Sunday. Hopefully, that ankle takes a turn for the better for A. Jackson come this Sunday.
One thing I noticed and it’s not perfect or anything but even in pass pro our OL attack and not sit back on their heels.
M13, I took a hit of life is too short. I’m in a silly mood. 🙂
I don’t condone nor condemn… but you are one FUNNY mofo when ya hit it!!!
😀
Yes… yes… I have that kind of mind. LOL
Tim, whatever happened to that British cat who wrote “Emails from an Asshole”? I forget his name, but he was hella funny, man! David something, right?
Was it Thorne?
I think Australian. David Thorne. The spider email is hilarious. Yes please send it back to me. LOL
Yes, Aussie is quite correct. That guy is hilarious! I follow him on Twitter but I’ve not heard/seen ANYTHING from him in a long time.
Call it a ‘feeling’… I’ve a feeling that Mike Gesicki is going to have himself a day this Sunday against the Ravens.
If the Ravens want to blitz us all day as they had the stej last week, we’re going to throw down the seam (Gesicki) as Cheetah and Penguin keep DBs occupied on the boundaries.
*M13 Thoughts*
If our O-line is compromised, Gesicki might not play much at all. We’ll have to see how Armstead and Jackson progress during the week.
Joe Flacco is as mobile as a stationary bush. Not that Tua is a great runner or anything, but he’s way more mobile than a stick. LOL
Misty the cat was hilarious too

Do you want him to replace Tua? Have I interpreted this right – you have wood for Flacco? 😉

———————-
I noticed that as well especially with Armstead. In pass pro, he goes out and attacks his man instead of letting him come in to possibly push him into the pocket. With him attacking in pass pro on the play action fakes, the DE has to hesitate, thinking it’s a passible run play.
Yep!
yeah Austin Jackson commented on this in TC.
something about McDaniel’s offense letting the OL fire out on every snap,
so giving him a feeling of being active,
not waiting to be attacked.
Of course Armstead has always just naturally done this.
He handled Judon like he weighed 185.

“ Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has had the number of some of the NFL’s best coaches.
After improving to 4-0 in his career against Bill Belichick’s Patriots on Sunday, Tagovailoa is 7-1 against head coaches who have won the Super Bowl. That includes two wins over Jon Gruden’s Raiders and one over Sean Payton’s Saints, in addition to a loss to Andy Reid’s Chiefs.
According to NFL Research, Tagovailoa’s .875 winning percentage against Super Bowl-winning head coaches is the best in NFL history among quarterbacks who have started at least six games against Super Bowl-winning head coaches.” (PFT)
THAT’s a franchise QB type record.
Except it isn’t accurate, he didn’t beat Jon Gruden’s Raiders twice, as he didn’t play against them last year and we lost, and you could say he didn’t beat them even once as Fitz came in a pulled the rabbit out of his hat in 2020
ruh roh
STFU! We don’t want a running back as our QB! You arrogant bastard! We have a QB what makes you think we would want you?
Bengals’ Elizabeth Blackburn replaces Dolphins owner Stephen Ross on NFL international committee
Chris Roling
Elizabeth Blackburn of the Cincinnati Bengals will replace Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross on the NFL’s international committee in 2022.
Ross, who had penalties handed down on him last month by the NFL over tampering allegations involving Tom Brady, was removed from three different committees, according to Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal.
Jets owner Woody Johnson took over Ross’ spot on the finance committee and he was not replaced on the media committee.
Not that I want Ross on this committee, but the NFL has some strange ways of covering things up and how they deal with issues is really more political, than anything else
What Ross did with tampering was no different, than any other team does, the NFL had to throw Flores a bone to shut him up, so they made up these tampering charges
Chase Edmonds touches against NE. A couple of whiffs on blocks by Alex Ingold in here at the 1 minute and 1:53 mark

The reporters at the press conferences always try to catch the HC in a bad light.
Like, this question is trying to pick at a communication lapse.
(CB Kader Kohou after the game said he had no idea if he was up or down, he just figured he saw the pads in his locker and he went out there. He didn’t even know that… he thought…?)
That’s just kinda snarky.
But McDaniel just breezes right past the rudeness and turns it into a teachable moment about how real life is on a football team.
His answer:
– “He’s a rookie. Our proper protocol is to individually seek out those not active before the game. So we don’t go to each player and be like, ‘congratulations, you’re active.’ (laughter) So (it was a) rookie deal. That doesn’t surprise me. I think we want especially our rookies to assume that they’re playing every day because they’ve got to max out their preparation and catch up to the curve that’s the rest of the veterans in the National Football League.”
Sean Payton said he thinks Tua will be benched for Bridgewater before the end of the season and that they will be drafting a new QB next season.
I hate the damn hate, but I am still pissed they passed over Herbert. (archives show I was all in on Herbert and against Tua being picked)
(this is the guy we lost a first round pick over tampering with)
Sean Payton is an expert, however, so a comment like that from him is very troubling.
Fuck Payton, he’s just homering for his guy Teddy, not sure why the sour grapes
We already have our franchise QB on the roster, if Tua doesn’t get it done, Skylar will
I too wanted Herbert, but I think Tua makes it through this year just fine and we stick with him for the ’23 season.
He had a 104 passer rating, didn’t lose the game, didn’t throw an INT, and the strip sack was totally not his fault.
The guy playing his first game at Center completely whiffed and let that rusher through (fortunately he recovered the fumble.)
Tua faced the same adversity in game 1 as he did last year, the difference was he had Tyreek to get him out of some jams
The OL is better, but still no where near average, middle of the pack, running game is better, but also not where it needs to be
I’d like to say I wanted Herbert, but he was bad at Oregon, watched him live, didn’t see why all the hype, watched tape saw a slow release, especially compared to Tua, and accuracy issues
There was one week, a couple of weeks before the draft, that I was all in on Herbert, because of his bowl game and SR Bowl, then I went back to Tua
Herbert still has some issues winning, but with Mack and Bosa I’d say that’s not going to be a problem this year, they’ll make the playoffs
Rainbows and unicorns, candy and nuts…these guys will do anything, write anything to bring negativity

Happy 61st Birthday to Dan Marino.
I think he was born in ’61.
Yes, that’s correct. I used to spend a couple of weeks at my uncle’s house in Pittsburgh for the summers while in HS
It was a big deal up there when Danny committed to Pitt, they knew all about him from his time at Central Catholic, he was all over the sports page
Well, I wished to start the season at the top of the division / conference and so far so good. Still # 1 seed. LOL!
That is why I hope we score a bunch of points this weekend (Beside just winning)
Unfortunately I feel we are going to revert to our typical performance against Baltimore.
Depends on if we can contain Jackson again
If we do the O will do enough to win
If Jackson can run around and dictate, he’s the same as Josh Allen unstoppable
Harbaugh is not going to let us do the blitz packages we did last year that took over the game. But Jackson is susceptible to being confused pre-snap.
Another bad thing for us is that the Ravens might have JK Dobbins back.
Hopefully, he is at least rusty if not still compromised.
They also have Kenyan Drake which they did not have last year.
His speed must be respected, because if he gets loose,
he can go house on us.
I’m not top worried about Jackson missing this game, we have options with Little and Hunt
Armstead seems like he’s playing, so I think the D decides this game
As long as we don’t turn the ball over, I think our offense will be ok. The Ravens will get pressure in this game, so protecting the ball and letting our D work with room is paramount.
We also can’t get down big early and let the Ravens play the majority of the game on the ground. We need to make Jackson throw it.
We do those two things and I love our chances to leave Baltimore with a win.
It’s also a road game for us. We need to take that crowd out of it ASAP.
I’m hoping that McDaniel was actually keeping our offense under wraps last week, since we did not need much to beat NE, at least not the way the game went.
By this I mean I think against the Ravens, our best plan might be to score in bunches early so as to make Jackson beat us passing, because our secondary is not going to get beat like the jest DBs got beat.
I think the Ravens don’t have a great secondary themselves, right?
Will Peters be back and fully ready?
LOVE IT! LOL
lol, awesome, too bad that one was called back on a roughing the passer. My wife and I argued about this one. I thought the impact was to his chest area, she said it was a good call. Seeing it from this angle, it’s close but she may have been right.
ahem……
SHE IS ALWAYS RIGHT
Don’t you know? LOL
I was informed of that in the moment, lol

Not bold prediction
Smythe with have more snaps, more catches and more yards that twinkle toes this weekend.

Interesting
Jonas, you mean it could be a big day for Waddle, Wilson and company because they will be going against Pepe and Jalyn right?
An injured quad is exactly what you want when you line up against Tyreek or Waddle.
The Dolphins with Tua at QB are 7-1 against SB winning coaches. Let’s make it 8-1 Sunday!!!!
6-1, Tua hasn’t played Vegas twice
Wrong and right
Boy that Seahawks trade for Jamal Adams hasn’t panned out. He’s out for the season again with a torn quad.
“Of course I want to be out there with the guys. It was good to see the greatness in this team.”
— Iggy on being inactive…. don’t like his game but he is a good guy.
Maybe they can trade him to Seattle
A good time to trade him. Where is he on the depth chart when Jones comes back?
The twice vs the Raiders thing threw things off, it was actually once vs the Raiders and once vs the Rams. Of course, like was mentioned, in the Raiders game he was bailed out by Fitz.
Pets x4
Rams x1
Saints x1
Raiders x1
Reid – loss
lol, not sure why I labeled the loss as Reid instead of Chiefs…
because … REID
Lamar Jackson saying they’ll have answers for the Cover 0 is not as easy as he may think. Because it’s a defense that can morph in and out of it. It may look like that pre-snap and then we drop more guys into coverage. It can also go from Cover 0 to Cover 3 by dropping Holland back deep before the snap.
I hope he loses lots of sleep over it.
Yeah they keep having false starts because Jackson keeps yawning during the snap count.
Ravens dominate at practice today (against them selves)
I guess they could have also said the Ravens kick the shit out of themselves in practice today. LOL
This will be a good test for our team as the Ravens are usually a tough and well coached team. It’s also on the road.
Phour Phish Phelon will be at this game so I pheel good about it.
He won’t take any shit phrom a ravens fan either. 💪💥🐬❌☃️🐆🐧🐽
Ima just try not to get shanked or shot in Balmore!
Lol, yeah be sharp out there
So glad we’ll have one of our own there it always makes me feel a lot better
Tonight is the Chiefs we root for right?
A tie
I guess there are different ways to look at it in the early stage of the season. Hope one team loses a lot or do we not one team winning too many.
I want the Chiefs to win and make Herbert look like dog shit doing it.
Mike, what’s up with the Mets? Are all their players 5’8″ 250
Well Vogelbach is 6-0 270.
Speaking of Snowman…
Draft Kings says if you bet all your team has to do is go up by seven points at anytime and you win.
That can be a tricky bet unless your team takes the ball and goes right down and scores. A low scoring field goal game makes that a tough bet.
I’ll take Chiefs to do it tonight.
I think these are two of the few teams Fitzpatrick has never played for
Hey Phelon this might interest you?
SON-OF-A-SON. You going down to Schnellenberger Field to see UCF @ FAU on Saturday?? One of my doctors wants to see me on Saturday, so I’ve had to settle for watching the game on the CBS Sports Network (Ch 221 Directv) this time. Probably just as well because your boys are favored by 8 points and should win this one fairly easily.
—————–
Somewhat surprised to learn that the Ravens’ secondary is really beat-up!! Right now I’m leaning to picking the Dolphins this time, even though the game is in Crab Cake City.
No I’m not going and I doubt it’s an easy win UCF likes to hurt themselves too much. They aren’t what we were expecting so far.
This is my maiden voyage on Amazon Prime video. I’ve had it for several months, but I’ve had no reason to use it before this evening.
It’s seamless, no buffering or lagging, the quality of the video is top-notch, and I wish NFL.bite worked this well. No complaints thus far.
I really don’t care who wins this game, but I’m expecting a great game… perhaps an early ‘game of the year’.
Prime has a lot of good programming, I probably watch more stuff on prime than anything else.
I think I’d like the new Lord of the Rings series, even though I’ve heard/read some really bad reviews of as much. I’ll have to explore its programming, Son.
Truth be told, I hardly watch any TV: mostly just football and politics.
Mike Williams is very, very underrated. He’s one of the best WRs in the league, IMO.
He is who we all hoped DeVante Parker would be for us.
And we dumped him on the cheats
KC absolutely didn’t take the FB seriously on that last play as a receiver.
Kent Tekulve
GREAT baseball reference!
He’s my go to sidearmer, younger folks might go with Dan Quissenberry
I always like Brett Saberhagen.
He was a great pitcher but we’ll after my baseball prime lol, I’m a seventies man for baseball (except 1990 Reds WS win wire to wire NL champs my favorite season ever)
I got a baseball one year in Pitt, Kent Tekulve threw it up to me
NICE!
That’s cool. He’s remembered as a Pirate but he came and played for the Reds for a season or two.
All the money I pay for the NFL ackage and I’ve got to go online to watch the game?
single game pay per view cant come fast eough!!!!!!!!
Agreed

Never going to happen, because they know they’ll lose 90%+ of their full package subscriptions
