WELL I TOLD YOU SO ABOUT THIS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS OFFENSIVE LINE. NOW, each of our 3 QB’s have, at different times, gone down with injuries—-UNBELIEVABLE!!! And, predictably, Armstead is again on the injury list — well suck my toe!!!
THIS FO has no clue whatsoever!! How much of the blame falls on Ross (for keeping these proven losers around) is debatable. But the fact that we have a lousy O-Line IS NOT DEBATABLE!! wE NEED TO GET RID OF A COUPLE OF THESE GUYS right now AND BRING IN TWO GUYS TO REPLACE THEM from other teams’ practice squads.
AND FOR GOODNESS’ sake, DON’T let Tua start next week behind this AWFUL LINE unless there are 2 replacements on the active list for Miami!

TIM: NOT EVERY PLAYER on the offense sucked today. Mostert played well. Our receivers–well, they COULD have done better, but they didn’t suck much of the time. When Miami committed 5 penalties on 5 consecutive plays in the first quarter, the O-Line committed 4 of them! And Skylar was terrific for most of the first quarter!! Minus those 5 penalties, Skylar may have led us to TWO touchdowns!!
ALL OF YOU GUYS who were saying “The O-Line is better” and the “O-Line is much improved” need to make a visit to Mike E’s office ASAP!!! Yer fuckin’ blind!!!!!
ONE MORE THING. I’d give serious consideration to NOT PLAYING TUA.
HOWEVER, with Teddy being a liability at QB and with Skylar’s injured thumb, we don’t seem to have aby alternative but to start Tua against the Stealers.

OD, the holds and penalties were not just OL and Waddle contributed to 2 turnovers. Bridgewater plays very slow. Our QB situation has been in disarray. The offense and STs lost this game.

Armstead being out has been almost as detrimental
But we knew (or SHOULD have known) that Armstead has a history of missing too many games with injury issues. His signing was a highly risky endeavor that, predictably, hasn’t paid off.
Once again, we beat ourselves today between the penalties, the 3 turnovers, and our weak O-Line (6 sacks yielded today).
We damn near had DOUBLE the yardage gained (yet the Vikes had 1 more drive than us), but we beat ourselves.
Teddy started slow, but he finished strong: 329 passing yards in essentially 3 quarters of play is nothing to sneeze at and his first INT was just a miracle for the Vikes… I don’t put that on Teddy.
That sucks SO BAD that Needham is lost for the season… 😡
This team is really undisciplined. How does it happen that we typically get called for at LEAST one illegal man downfield every game, and the other team barely ever does that?

PHELON: Maybe YOU missed it but it’s management’s duty to make sure you have AT LEAST 2 or 3 competent back-up O-linemen on your roster at any given time. Miami doesn’t even have 5 competent NFL quality linemen on the roster, let alone 2-3 reasonably good backup O-Linemen.
AND there’s nothing new about this. Miami has yet to have an O-line ranked in the Top 10, quality wise, during the entire length of his tenure as primary owner of this franchise. Simply put, Ross does not now, and never has been, a big believer in scouting and spending for top notch O-Linemen.
And THAT is totally on him!
We’ve been slowed played into thinking we have a good roster, what if you just woke up, after sleeping for 19 years?
None of us would’ve believed how things have gone, it’s kind of like this
24 rushing yards yielded on 16 carries (1.5 YPC) for the game… if ya take out the 53-yard TD run by Dalvin Cook late in the 4th quarter. Don’t know what happened on that play, but our D looked dazed, confused, and out of position… probably a rare miscommunication.
Otherwise, our D looked great once again vs the run… and we held Kirk Cousins to a mere 175 passing yards on the day.
Think about it… Teddy had more passing yards in roughly 3 quarters than the Vikes had through the air and ground through 4 quarters, COMBINED.
This loss is tough to swallow.
As Brian stated above, we didn’t play very disciplined today. I agree, and that’s how ya lose a game like this.
If Byron Jones can’t get healthy, then there’s something very wrong. He carries a $20.7M dead cap penalty if we cut him, but he’s no good to us when he’s playing dead (opossum). WTF is going on with him? We need him!
M13, we have an out cause in his contract next year. We can cut him after the season and lose nothing next year.

Like Hulk said the last two weeks, we aren’t winning games without Tua so hopefully this drama filled concussion adventure is over. Team is getting injured all over the place and they aren’t very disciplined. Hopefully things start to turn back around with Tua. Coach needs to start focusing on the penalties though.
Of we don’t get the OL fixed and healthy , he’ll be knocked out again really soon.

This was the first time I remember seeing him play pretty well. It would be huge if he could realize some of his potential.
