We’re sitting pretty right now at 4-3, believe it or not. 3 more games to go until we get a much-needed bye week to recuperate from some injuries… and all 3 games (Lions, Bears, and Browns) are very winnable.

looking at the standings today, our loss to Cincy doesn’t effect the outcome because of the current three way tie. It COULD come back into play later.

Absolutely correct. That loss to the Bengals could come back to haunt us.
IF we are able to win the next three “winnable’ games we will be sitting at 7-3 going into our buy. That is pretty F’n good. However the Bills are already at 5 wins soo…
So McDaniel has proved he is Coach Gunslinger. Not sure I like that, but should make things interesting. And I ain’t buying “the analytics tell me to do it.” How the man rolls.
Agreed Stanger. I would have liked to see a short pass there vs. a run, especially with Edmonds running it. Seems like the dude am has lost the ability to catch the ball since he came to us.
The goal line hit on Mostert was clean- Minkah led whit his shoulder perfectly on that play. There was a play on the 3 or 4 where he DID lead with the crown of his helmet on Tyreek I believe. I agree on that Waddle – how was that not unnecessary roughness?
I see many are down on Coach McDaniel for similar reasons, especially going for it on 4th down last night.
See, I don’t care that he went for it… it’s that he put his faith in Jordan Howard Chase Edmonds, two plays in a row.
JMO, we could have done FAR better than signing Chase Edmonds as a FA. What’s more, Myles Gaskin is exponentially better than Edmonds (again, JMO). Unfortunately, Gaskin wasn’t made active last evening. SMH
This morning I was watching my youtube fishing video’s and I kind of freaked out. You know how they list other video’s off to the side. I caught this title off to the side and was like, shit, I know her or at least sat with her and talked with her and a few other pilots at chow one night after her close call. We were based at the Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Force Base in Kuwait.
I was with Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 supporting the Marine F/A-18 and AV-8B Harrier squadrons during the beginning of the war in 2003.
I remember the flight line going on alert as they didn’t know if she was going to be able to land her A-10. She lost all control after taking the hits and almost had to eject over hostile Baghdad. She switched to manual and was able to get her jet out of a dive and gain control.
I took my own pictures of the aircraft when it was in the hanger. It had hundreds (not an exaggeration) of shrapnel holes. She flew it back a couple hundred miles from Iraq with a damaged engine, no flight controls, no stabilizer. The hydraulics were gone. The landing gear and brakes were out. She had to manually crank the landing gear.
Yes, but I’m not sure how much salary factors
into that. At least keep the guy active. Edmonds’ okay has significantly decreased in the last 2-3 games.
Play the best players screw the salary. If that is the consideration then replace the fools in the organization who believe it. Edmonds has dropped too many passes. He is not as fast as Mostert or Gaskin and has failed miserably in short yardage. Why they are using him in short yardage is also befuddling

Coach on Brandon Shell — he continues to impress. Thought he did some really good things with the short period of time he’s had to master. He’s fit right in to the culture.
Regarding my last post, I forgot to mention the part that freaked me out.
When you are on youtube and watch certain video’s the algorithm goes to work and puts similar videos off to the side you may be interested in. I never looked for or ever played video’s regarding the Iraq war. Never.
Yesterday, (keep in mind I had my phone in my pocket) I bonded a USAF member out of jail for DUI. In most cases, the military member has to be released to a member of his command or their base military police.
His Senior Master Sergeant came as the command rep. We got to talking while waiting for his Airman to get released. He was there in Iraq same time as me and was an aircrewman on a C-130 and at a different air base in Kuwait.
I told him that story about the A-10 pilot and what the aircraft looked like after she landed. Of course, he remembered it happening.
Next morning (today), I am checking out my fishing videos and boom that video pops up on the side. That’s what freaked me out!

Yes, our phones are listening to us…
George Orwell’s “1984” has come to real life. Big Brother is spying on us. And it started with the “Patriot Act”, which was in the works for many decades prior to September 11th, 2001.

Stanger is right, it’s data farming advertising. If you do a search for camping or fishing equipment you’re going to start seeing ads for that stuff when on the internet.
BBMike, as far as the phone listening all I can say is that the same thing has happened to people I know where they said there is no way they could know this unless it heard me talking about it.
There were Stealers* fans all around us and many many more in attendance.
The thing I found odd was that the Pittsburgh fans were louder than our fans at the times when the other team was on offense, especially 3rd downs.
The Miami fans did cause one botched play when Pittsburgh couldn’t get their guys lined up and had to snap it anyway and messed up a 3rd down. It was down in the end zone where we were sitting.
I like the way the defense is starting to play. The offense seems to hurt itself too often. They look close to making big plays but then they don’t. They gotta get better.
It would be nice to see a game or two where we don’t lose a secondary player for the year. Injuries have kicked our defense’s butt so far, but the next man up keeps responding.
Our run defense is top 10 this year. The front 7 has been stout, we just need more pass rush. I think all things considered, our D has been pretty decent.
It’s also great to see Iggy finally get some positive results, would love to see him keep building on that.
GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS: – – –
First, the GOOD NEWS. The FO has taken action during the last several days to bring in fresh blood and upgrade the truly pathetic O-Line. Tua DID NOT end up in a hospital last night.
———————-
BAD NEWS. It took all 3 of our roster QB’s getting concussed before this FO decided to do something substantive. TALK ABOUT “SLOW TO RESPOND- – – !!”
———————-
The reaction time of our FO MUST BE IMPROVED!! – – And NO EXCUSES now that “Little Stevie Blunder” has been removed from the decision-making process!! – – Or, has he??? ROSS HAS TO KNOW that if he violates the NFL’s decision on THIS ISSUE, IT’S CURTAINS for his status as the TEAM OWNER!!
OD, the OL is not pathetic. They’re not where we want them to be but they have also been banged up and we’ve been using multiple players at different positions. Lots of teams are going through the same thing.
“When Tua was playing, this was the number one offense in the NFL..since Tua has not been playing over the last 2 & a half weeks it’s the 29th offense in the NFL. I’m so excited to watch Tua come back. This is one of the best teams we had in the league when he was playing.” pic.twitter.com/dO5eMARtJw
We know what our RB situation looks like for this year but I do think we need to target a talented young back in the 2023 draft. A guy who fits what we run that can be productive for 4 years.

Don’t expect to see Byron Jones this week. The whole process is definitely frustrating for all parties, Coach says. How people recover from things are individualistic and it’s not due to a lack of effort from Byron or the medical staff. Timetable remains uncertain.
I took my sons to see the Pittsburgh game.
I flew one down from Charlotte, the other from Rhode Island.
I wanted to treat them to some great seats to help make it a memorable experience
in keeping with the 50th celebration of the Perfect Season.
We had fun.
Before the game we even saw Flores so close
we could see the serious frown lines that made him Stone Cold Flo.
Worst seats I ever had was Rosebowl Game in late 80s row 2 50 yard line
Second worst Fins vs 49ers 40 yard line row 30, 21-0 weenie arm Fiedler, Brady his first SB that year, shook hands with OC Chan Gailey after the game as he was coming down from the box
Tua was the victim of a few drops, but he was definitely rusty as well. His timing was a bit off, not always because of him either. At least once Hill slowed up running his route so that Tua’s pass went off his fingertips because the ball was thrown out front of a very fast man.
It looked like Hill was waiting for Bridgewater’s slower reactions and slowball throws where he’d have to reach behind him to catch them.
LBs Phillips and Van Ginkel were swarming,
but Ingram was mostly contained except for that one great play.
He got held very badly one play also that they did not call.
The DL missed Ogbah, but still they played a great game.
Sieler and Wilkins seemed to stuff the blockers every play.
With help from Davis and even Big John Jenkins.
Riley and Roberts did well, and Fejedelem(sp?)
made a super play that helped stop a drive.

————
YES, it IS the government. What is it that you don’t seem to understand? The government is free and clear to access any and all domestic phone records under the Patriot Act… and that extends to internet providers, most of which are phone carriers.
Did you really believe that Barack Hussein Obama gave out ‘Obama phones’ for free and out of the kindness in his heart? NO, it came at taxpayer expense and it was used to track EVERYBODY… even the poor.
I understand the ‘data farming’ (which is suspect enough), but don’t try to make it sound as though the government is NOT spying on WE THE PEOPLE: that’s just ignoramus on your part.
Apologies for the curt reply, but it’s true… regardless of how ya spin it, Stanger.
I HAVEN’T SEEN THE CHEATRIOTS get their heads handed to them at home since the days of Ronnie Brown’s WILDCAT formation which tore New England a new asshole one Sunday in Massachusetts! Congratulations to Da’ Bears for delivering a major league ass-kicking to Belicheat and his merry band of cheaters!!
However, my joy is tempered by one question: What’s Miami going to do to stop these “Monsters of the Midway” six days from now???
Until then, I’m just going to find a way to enjoy the rest of the week. And it’s gotten off to a terrific beginning!!

“The Dolphins are 19th in the NFL in points per game at 21.0, barely ahead of last year’s 20.1 average, which ranked 22nd.”
“The Dolphins have scored touchdowns on 65 percent of their red zone trips, fifth best in the league.”
“They’re sixth in the league in yards per play at 6.1, compared with 4.8 last season. They’re 10th in yards per game at 367.”
So what gives?
We are 26th in time of possession this season. That definitely has something to do with it.
McDaniel did not say Jones is out for the season, but it did not sound like it is a sure thing that the Dolphins will get him back in the lineup this year.
I am going to ask what so many people are thinking. Why is Eich still the starter? He is rated the worst OG in the league. Dieter has to be better doesn’t he?
Put one of Shell, Jackson, Jones or Little over there
MM says the best 5 will play, but what he says isn’t always what he does
I love MM as our coach, and would extend him another 10 years, but it doesn’t mean he gets a free pass on everything, he can scrutinized like everyone else
Time to give Boyer a little credit for adjusting his defense to cover for all these DB injuries.
The subs have played well which is an indication of good coaching and a viable scheme.
It speaks to the overall quality of Tua’s play that even after missing 2.5 games he is still top 5 in passer rating, QBR (ESPN) and completion percentage and leads the league in yards per pass average at 8.6.
The 4th down play McDandiel was correct Edmonds actually missed the hole ended up choosing a cluttered up middle. Strange stuff! pic.twitter.com/hAVsvlpu1W
How does a RB NOT see that huge of a running lane?
Armstead is demolishing his man, and the RB ignores his good work.
It would be a sensible policy at RB to ALWAYS run past Terron’s tail.

That’s on McDaniel as well, you don’t go on 4th and take the ball out of the hands of your best players and put it on the hands of one that’s just not playing well. Every single decision in that series in the red zone was dubious.
Or is MM, just smarter, than the rest of us, because he was trying to build the confidence of his back, while expecting to win anyways?
The middle-of-the-pack sack numbers (14, 19th in the NFL) could be forgiven if the pressures were there, but it appears opponents have figured out the Dolphins’ tactics. Opposing quarterbacks are getting the ball out at the ninth-fastest rate in the league (2.7 seconds), and in turn, Miami allows the fourth-highest completion percentage in the league.
Anyone know, if Boyer has made the adjustment to the quick passes we’re seeing?
Seems like when your opponent has to change the way they play, based on something you’re good at you’ve already won or have a big advantage
I guess that the process being the way it is that he got poached. But the article says..well, I cut and pasted it directly from the article so you know what is said..LOL

I am going to ask what so many people are thinking. Why is Eich still the starter? He is rated the worst OG in the league. Dieter has to be better doesn’t he?
————–
I’m beginning to feel the same way about Eich. But for whatever it may be worth, I think PFF’s ratings have sucked over the last several years… that establishment has gone downhill over time. Thus, I don’t think Eich should be rated the worst OG in the league.
But he sure as hell has been a disappointment for us to date.
Notre Dame has traditionally produced some of the great O-Linemen over the last decade or so. If memory serves, Eich didn’t allow a single sack in his senior year at Notre Dame… and they ran an outside zone, just as we Phins do.
I don’t understand why he hasn’t blossomed as a Phin… it’s truly befuddling to me.
Perhaps Eich practices well but then crashes when the lights are on him? I dunno, but clearly, the coaches see enough good in him to continue playing him. I haven’t a problem with that either, so long as he becomes what he was drafted to become.
But quite honestly, he’s not yet lived up to expectations. I’m pulling for him!!!
I have to say I don’t know if he’s been that bad or not. Watching on TV I’m not focused on him or any OL. Usually the only time we notice them is if it was a bad play or a great block.
The reason we’re not getting a lot of sacks is because we’re forcing QBs to get rid of the ball quickly. The reason we’re allowing a high pass completion is because a lot of the throws are short. That’s what we want because we believe the mistakes by the offense will come. That’s our philosophy.
“Mostert played 44 snaps and ran 16 times for 79 yards (4.9 per carry). Edmonds played 18 snaps, ran 7 times for 17 yards (2.4 per carry) and dropped a pass for the fourth time this season.”
Devin Bush #55 5’11 235 is the LB that Tua slammed his shoulder into at the 8 yard line.
Meanwhile, in San Diego, and the last I’ve heard, Justin Herbert is still playing through torn rib cartilage… and they lost again yesterday.
According to ESPN, if the season ended today, we’d be the 6th seed in the AFC playoffs. We’re ahead of the Bengals, Chargers, and Colts.
Here…

I truly do not know the answer to this one – CAN three teams from the same division make the playoffs?
I don’t THINK so, therefor as it stands even though we place higher than many due to divisions we would miss the playoffs and the Jets would make it…
YES, 3 teams in the same division CAN make the playoffs. It’s just so rare an occurrence.
looking at the standings today, our loss to Cincy doesn’t effect the outcome because of the current three way tie. It COULD come back into play later.
OOOFFFF!! Sucks to be them!
Yessir! SUCKS to be them!
Update on Dolphins trade for Hill this season…
More reactions from the Hill trade
Breece Hall was looking like the ROY candidate for the stej. But now that he’s gone with a torn ACL, I think the stej fall back to Earth.
Yes, they will have to depend on the Milf Hunter to carry them more which is not good for them.
LOL @ “Milf Hunter” 😀

The Jets are not a good team but have had great timing. 3 of their 5 wins have been against teams with backup QBs:, Phins, Broncos and Browns

Baldy says
I love Baldy. He always gives us a positive spin.
In reply to Baldy’s final statement; Yeah, unless you watched the 3rd & 4th quarters and not just the first two drives….
Baldy loves him some Tua
The Jets are trading for JAX RB James Robinson.
Thanks For the comments above Tim.
Dan Orlovsky on NFL Live loves him some Tua too. Keyshawn not so much. He’s just a hater who was wrong and won’t adjust his opinion.
Dan before he came back
Looking for his clip from today
Tua being back is obviously huge, but Armstead being back is equally as important.
The best players you have matter. 😉

I am still so f’n pissed by the Jet’s loss. Manufactured by the league.

Replace Edmonds with Gaskin. Edmonds blows
Hard to disagree, but we saw some incredible things from Edmonds in PS, I’m not giving up on him that quick, Mostert though is the superior runner
Agreed and Mostert plays a lot more physical than his size would suggest.
I wonder if we’re looking to trade Gaskin. It’s weird to me that he’s been inactive with Ahmed ahead of him.
Does Ahmed play STs?
I think so but Gaskin has too. I don’t think you can be a 3rd RB and not play STs.
Even Mostert returns kicks. Holland, Hill and Waddle do PRs.
Preseason really doesn’t mean that much
We know what our RB situation looks like for this year but I do think we need to target a talented young back in the 2023 draft. A guy who fits what we run that can be productive for 4 years.
Bijan Reobinson would be really nice
Robinson

Don’t expect to see Byron Jones this week. The whole process is definitely frustrating for all parties, Coach says. How people recover from things are individualistic and it’s not due to a lack of effort from Byron or the medical staff. Timetable remains uncertain.

What is funny about Row 9?
I took my sons to see the Pittsburgh game.
I flew one down from Charlotte, the other from Rhode Island.
I wanted to treat them to some great seats to help make it a memorable experience
in keeping with the 50th celebration of the Perfect Season.
We had fun.
Before the game we even saw Flores so close
we could see the serious frown lines that made him Stone Cold Flo.
Down low for football sucks
Gisecki should have had a TD. Hit him in the face mask
yep
That was PI
Officiating crew kept Steelers in the game early
Pat fans already forgot Mac Jones
LBs Phillips and Van Ginkel were swarming,
but Ingram was mostly contained except for that one great play.
He got held very badly one play also that they did not call.
The DL missed Ogbah, but still they played a great game.
Sieler and Wilkins seemed to stuff the blockers every play.
With help from Davis and even Big John Jenkins.
Riley and Roberts did well, and Fejedelem(sp?)
made a super play that helped stop a drive.
Bailey Zappe is winning the Pats fan over as Mac Jones struggles.
My friend Tim was banging the table for Frank Zappa to start the season
LOL
Ha take that Kong 1-0 Winnipeg
My hopes for an undefeated Blues season is in trouble…
Bears are who we thought they were and they suck
Seems like they are trying to make Fields the entire offence .. just go wishbone already
Fields has a lot to learn. He can’t run around in close quarters with defenders all around him.
But that seems to be all the coaches trust him to do 🤷♂️
I meant more pocket passing running around than his running on called plays.
Go Bears.
I agree but that leaves the taste of puke in mouth as well

————-
He will probably be first off the board.
I have seen mocks having us take him.
Zappe not so Crappe, as I thought
He will be a Dental Floss Tycoon
Great play by Fields. Bears back on top
Go Bears!!!
Roughing the passer on Bears TD? Brady would’ve gotten it
Nice..
Fumble was all Crappe, don’t care what Aikman said
Does he think we’re stupid
I think Fields is
Wow Fields
One Crappe play one great play
Rinse, repeat
Fields looks like Betty with his pocket presence at times
I was gonna say Tannehill a bit ago , but yes Betty is closer
Zombie song playing, Fields every other play
Why not hold in the EZ, I’ve been calling for it in that situation for 10 years
Fields is feast or famine
🍺
I think Fields can be good but he needs time to develop those pocket instincts
Agreed. He looks like a RB who can throw the ball.
I remember him at OSU and liked the way he threw the ball there but he clearly feels more comfortable/natural running the ball

It’s not the government. It’s big tech data farming. Knowing what you are interested in to put up ads for stuff you might buy is the engine that runs the internet. You think you can use Google, Facebook or Yahoo for free cause they don’t make money?
If you’re on the grid, you’re out there. That’s the way it is. Technology will never stop.
Better get my tin foil helmet
Last 2 plays famine then feast
That FG was important to take down the Pats.
Send memo to MM
Lol

2-0 Winnipeg woot woot
3-0 … where is that hairy ape ?!
lol, the Jets ruined our run at a perfect season, but there are still a few games left to play 😉
😊. First time you guys have been behind in a game ..jets are playing well tonight … hope they can continue for a while
Arizona hockey arena only seats 5000 WTF
They haven’t played a home game yet, so something might be up with their stadium
Lady with season tickets next to mine last year went to a game in AZ last year and said the place was empty
…so maybe the decided to save some money this year
Bury the Pats Bears!!!
That should have done it
Jaelan Phillips has a 90.1 overall grade the last 4 weeks and only trails Myles Garrett at the edge defender position
Via Ryan Smith
Why would an RB ruun out of bounds a half yard short of a 1st down
Good stuff Bears!
That should just about do it
Jones got rocked on KR
Zappe the cheats savior
The clock is ticking and it’s a 3 possession game.
Gonna be hard to stop the Bears from Detroit
The evil empire getting dismantled on MNF … this is just as good as a Fins win. Not enough yellow hankies in the Northeast to save Belicheat tonight.
LOL
That’s the game.
And they head for the exit
At the Lions, Bears and home against the Browns are the next three games. Being realistic go 2-1, 3-0 would be awesome.

Brandon Jones on IR. Bummer.
Nah, it was all Flo-nase
It speaks to the overall quality of Tua’s play that even after missing 2.5 games he is still top 5 in passer rating, QBR (ESPN) and completion percentage and leads the league in yards per pass average at 8.6.
Asking for a friend…Is top 5 “elite”?
Lol at both paragraphs
Should’ve read because he was out 2.5 games
His rating, and ypg were higher after 3 weeks as were others, because of the small sample size, now while others have played 6 or 7, he’s played 4+
Tua has exceeded expectations of most this year, and close to what I expected, but let’s not anoint him anything yet
Ima anoint him Franchise QB and elite in This system.
We’ve seen Brady, Rodgers, Carr, and Stafford struggle this year with less than stellar supporting casts
Tua is different, he needs to play great without the benefit of a good supporting cast to be called elite or a franchise QB
I think you just said Brady et Al are not elite without a stellar supporting cast.

That’s a TD if he hits it!
My problem with the call wasn’t that we went for it or we ran the ball. My main issue was that we handed to ball to edmunds.
How does a RB NOT see that huge of a running lane?
Armstead is demolishing his man, and the RB ignores his good work.
It would be a sensible policy at RB to ALWAYS run past Terron’s tail.
He’s pressing, because he’s in a massive slump, Wilson too

Ced Wilson seemed very shaky fielding punts.
I am so bored at work I am actually considering…….Working!

I was wondering about Snell and why we didn’t elevate Coleman.
Offensive tackle Larnel Coleman left the Dolphins’ practice squad to sign with the Carolina Panthers’ 53-man roster.
He left or got poached?
I guess that the process being the way it is that he got poached. But the article says..well, I cut and pasted it directly from the article so you know what is said..LOL

Why is someone always overwhelmed or underwhelmed? Why can’t they be just the right amount of whelmed?
Definition of whelm
transitive verb
1 : to turn (something, such as a dish or vessel) upside down usually to cover something : cover or engulf completely with usually disastrous effect.
I think you should start using it in your everyday speech without the obligatory over or under. Report back on how it goes.

————–
This post seemed to go under the radar to most… it’s BIG for the stej, who just lost Breece Hall for the season due to an ACL tear.
Needless to say, this is bad news for us Phins.
Well Hall was playing at a really high level. Robinson has been banged up but yes it was a good pickup for the Jets.
The loss of OL Vera-Tucker was also a big loss for them and it’s more difficult to replace a good young OL in-season.
Agreed on all accounts.

If Eich has been that bad I would think the coaches would have replaced him. Maybe they don’t agree with the ratings.
*** Iggy on Sunday allowed six of eight targets to be caught for 68 yards, one touchdown and the interception (a 98.4 passer rating).
*** Bethel permitted seven of nine targets to be caught for 54 yards and an interception (a 52.1 passer rating against).
*** Howard permitted four of five passes to be caught for just 35 yards.
And that’s all the CBs we had.
