Go Bills then?
We donβt make it easy π€·ββοΈππ
Between all the bacon you jerks eat and this stressful defense, some of you should see a cardiologist
I need a mixologist
Jets about to beat Bills
That D is legit
Tim – the defense looked awful today. The Bears aren’t a juggernaut on offense but we made them look like one. We were supposed to get better on defense, maybe look like a playoff caliber defense, we looked anything but.
I agree. When did I say our defense looked good?
You just said we shouldn’t be calling for heads. This defense is so bad with lots of talent. Maybe the guy responsible for that has to do a better job
Okay but is there anyone other than the Eagles playing out of their mind? We’re 6-3. Things can get fixed.
Our D has made stops at the end of games, but they are keeping our opponents in games when they shouldn’t be in sight.
Jets winning?…..Allen grabbing at his arm…?
Jets are for real
If we didn’t get that ST’s TD, we lose this one
Sanders miss was big. I donβt like MM going for it for a second game when we had a possible easy FG
Ugly ass WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jets upset Bills
WΓ²Γ²Γ²Γ²
Wow, boo
ick
eewwwww
man ewww
Didn’t we beat the Bills holding them to 19 points? They’re not invincible. The Jets winning evens everything out. π
Allen did not look great
Bills no longer have the division in a strangle hold
be great if NE can give them a L this season too
135.69 passer rating for Tua tuaday
14+ yards per clip.
He was the longest passer coming into today and widened it .
Did the Vikings clinch yet?
I still can’t believe they didn’t call pass interference on us. We probably would have found a way to lose if they made the right call
Sometimes they do enough to keep the game competitive, then at the end give the team they’ve screwed all game the call, seen it on many occasions
me too… but I’ll take it. Maybe we’ll start getting calls that “only the Fins get” (according to other teams’ fans). π
I THINK YOU’RE DEAD RIGHT, MIKE!!
I can’t remember the last time an official’s call gave Miami a win they may not have deserved. But, any way you figure it, we got the “W,” NOW!!
Is THIS a sign of better things to come?–I certainly hope so!!
—————-
AH the mighty Bills have lost, again!!
And their star QB was holding the elbow on his throwing arm at game’s end. I’m all busted up by that!!
—————-
Those Buffalo fans and sportswriters who had already given the Lombardi Trophy to “The Jills” may want to reconsider.
Allen out for Vikings next week…..
I would love to hear that
Miami can clinch the division by winning out. Easier said than done but Bills getting a 2nd division loss is huge.
Jeff Wilson had a really solid day for only having a couple days to prep. 3 receptions plus he’s hard to bring down on run plays … a definite upgrade over Edmonds.
… but omg Fields running the ball … it’s exciting for Bears fans until he gets concussed.
Me after talking up how great Tua is on 3rd down for 3 quarters and seeing him miss Smythe on the 4th
ALL RIGHT, Piggy, lets see your face after the clock ran out on Da’ Bears and “The Jills!”
C’mon, Piggy, you can do BETTER THAN THAT!
Fields ran for 81 against the Patriots and 60 against the Cowboys. We had no answer, there was never a player getting penetration that made a tackle or never a player home if he switched directions. Our pass rush was still toothless as well. I have serious concerns going forward. The offense is amazing, although I do question whether we can win a poor weather game the way our offense operates.
I’m worried as well. Our defense has a lot of money and talent tied into it. It looks horrible though. Something must be done if we expect to win a playoff game. Hell, we may not even get in with how they are playing. No reason to get lucky against the Bears. It should have been an easy win.
The Pats walked off with wins like this for 20 years. I don’t care. π
I think we will see either a reaction from the D soon or a new play caller. I’m not advocating this necessarily, but we all saw MM’s reaction to the pens last week.
From his perspective, it’s his first HC gig, he’s got a dream job with loads of power and backing from the owner and CG giving him some pretty tasty ingredients. We have talent on both sides of the ball but we are way underperforming on one side.
Something has to give and I don’t see MM tolerating this too much longer if we keep playing D like we are right now
As cool and quirky as Mike McDaniel is, when it comes to execution or the lack there of, I think he’s a guy who won’t tolerate bad play. Edmonds being traded was a sign of that.
Either do I, and nor should he tolerate that. Chris Grier just handed Boyer a new toy and DC would love to have. Justin Fields ran for 178 and 1 TD and threw for 3 more TD’s. It’s not crazy to think he’d have another TD if the officials made the right call and flagged us for PI on that last drive. We got lucky to escape CHI with the win, but there’s something wrong here for sure. The defense can’t play like this and expect to move on in a playoff game. This D won’t cut it, so something has to change
We also had some bad calls against us. That’s the way the NFL is. How many times did umpires get safe or out wrong this year with the Mets. We challenged and won like 30+ of them. This is 2022 sports. Officials can change games.
Mia culpa
Tua winna
6-0 when he walks off the field in a game this year.
I am going to have a great time explaining to my Jet’s fan friend how them beating the Bills actually dropped them behind us in the standings when we won today. LOL
Don’t think you’re right on that one. We have the same 2-1 Division record and they beat us head to head
we are 7th in the league in points with Tua missing tua games.
I’m glad others are seeing this. Boyer has to go. Terrible DC. Probably can say the same for all the D coaches. Our defense doesn’t play down, it’s just not very good. We can’t stop the bad teams with bad offenses. We won’t stop Burrow, Mahomes, or Allen. Our defense is terrible.
Our offense worries me too. They look amazing early but peter out in the 4th. We’ve been shut out in 6 of our 9 4th quarters. We have a total of 7 points in 7 of the 9 games in the 4th. You have to be able to score in the 4th quarter and we aren’t. Being held scoreless in 67% of your 4th quarters isn’t an aberration, it’s a trend. Good teams must be able to score….and they sure as hell don’t barely beat the Bears and Lions. Bad team, great offense early.
I have to change my opinion from earlier in the week. I don’t think we are a contender because we aren’t a solid playoff caliber team. We are like the 2008 Sparano Dolphins. We may get in, but too many issues for us to win anything. Bengals and Patriots clobbered their terrible opponents today. That’s what good teams do.
Bottom line. Fins win, Bills lose = happy camper. Right now that’s really all that matters. Enjoy being at 6-3 and let the team fix what they can in the week. Although you’d be forgiven in thinking they have 3 weeks with the Brown’s and a bye coming. That bye may also be an opportunity to make changes if the gauntlet is thrown and not picked up.
The Browns are up next.
I don’t think brisket can run for 150+ yards, so there’s that …
so glad out QB is top of the league in most stats and not a creepy fucking predator
Ok, back home for a nice little home stretch Cleveland at home, bye week and Houston at home.
We definitely can play better , and I expect we will β¦ penalties were sort of cleaned up , so there is hope the D will be as well
Isn’t it fun to be complaining when we win 3 in a row and we’re 6-3 and in the playoff mix? π
Let’s see if Chase Elliot can put a cherry on my weekend!!!!
Tim – My point was a bad call saved us from an embarrassing day on defense being even more embarrassing. It’s not like Fields has been lighting up the scoreboard passing, he had 7 TD’s and 6 INT’s before this game. I know they added Claypool but he was on a snap count due to arriving this week. Their defense after subtracting two huge defenders played on par with ours, after we added one of the best OLB’s in the game. Just calling as it I see it. Our effort was shameful against a poor team. Boyer has some splaining to do
Our defense was awful today. Our back end misses tackle after tackle. We’re playing backups in the secondary. That’s why talent matters. It’s not about Boyer, it’s a lesser level of talent than we started with. Gotta fight through it.
I really thought we were going to lose. Without the refs, we probably would have…against the Bears. We have every right to be upset and questioning. Team doesn’t know how to finish games.
The refs hurt us too.
Fields is now on notice for the rest of their opponents. He’s an okay passer but a great runner. Give him props.
the league was on notice before this game. Our D didn’t get the notice obviously.
New Age – I hear ya man. I think we feel the same way on this one. I suppose we might give Boyer another week to gameplan with Chubb, but our front 3 of Ogbah, Davis and Wilkins were taken out of action today. I also Phillips and Chubb running around after people, but not getting penetration and making plays in the backfield. This is not sustainable, no matter how good our offense is.
Our offense is having issues too. We aren’t even in the game in the 4th so if we can’t get this defense fixed, we will start losing these close 4th quarter games. The Jets are real, the Pats dominated this week, and the Bills are still the cream of the AFC. We have a couple easier games to get this fixed before the season starts to unravel. We shouldn’t need the refs and 35 points to beat the Bears. We shouldn’t need to get lucky during the easy part of the schedule. Good teams knock out bad opponents before the 12th round.
By the time we play Fields in Chicago again,
he’ll be all beat up and 2 steps slower like Cam Newton got to be.
We’re the 5th seed now. The Jets are 4th. LOL
only if you go by conference percentage. H2H changes things with the inter=divisional play
That’s the standings as of now.
On a good note, the NY Mets signed relief pitcher Edwin Diaz to a 5YR/$102M contract! YES!!!!!
Hope He can sack the QB π
He could probably fire a 100MPH fastball into his knee or something. lol
My friend just texted me that. Good signing. He’s 28 and in his prime. I don’t care how much money Steve Cohen spends. He’s a Mets fan and has totally revived the organization. π
Iβm with Tim

The Pats walked off with wins like this for 20 years. I donβt care. π
****
Yes we have flaws
We arenβt perfect
No team is perfect though
Take it easy guys – enjoy these wins
It’s not true though. The Patriots would blow out at least 3-4 teams even in their worse seasons. They blew out about half their opponents in the 2007 and 2011 seasons. They didn’t just sit there, and hope Fields wouldn’t run another TD in with a few minutes left. Good teams take care of bisiness.
Taking care of business is winning
Too harsh?
No, fair is fair, assuming she even fakes being satisfied, maybe she’s not satisfied at all!
Lmao…we’re you banned?
Kyler Murray stirring up shit again
New Age – I’m not especially concerned about our offense. I think with Jeff Wilson we’ll be running the ball more effectively going forward with Wilson and Mostert sharing touches. Right now our defense is the weak link and the offense is our strength. Maybe Austin Jackson getting healthy will the O-line some too, although that remains to be seen.
I’m not concerned until the 4th quarter. We haven’t scored a point in 6 of our games this year in the 4th. That’s not good especially with a terrible defense. You don’t win shootouts with the Bills and Chiefs by stopping your game after 45 minutes are up. They have 60 to go not 45.
We escaped with the win. Our offense is legit. Our defense is crap. Our special teams still suck, but at least we picked up a positive play with the block.
Another effing missed fg. I’m over Sanders, he has been crap for 3 of the last 4 years. That was a huge missed fg that directly contributed to a 4 point difference because the Bears don’t go for 2 later on if they were down 14 instead of 11.
Our offense is awesome. I saw a bunch of people saying ‘slow down, it was the Lions’ last week. Well, the Bears are a top 10 pass defense and we shredded them at will. Tua missed on a couple of passes in the 4th that he normally hits on, but thankfully the defense decided to finally show up at that time.
McDaniel needs to stop wasting time at the end of halves and timeouts every single game. He’s done it more than a few times and it’s worked out a few times, but it nearly cost us today.
I’d also like to see McDaniel tighten it up in crunch time with the play calling. I get conventional wisdom says to run it and run clock, but they had no answer for Tua and the passing game. Why are you running it twice and only giving Tua one shot to convert; flip that ratio, run it once and give Tua two chances.
We cleaned up the penalties this game which was good to see. That call against Howard on his INT was pure garbage, but we got a cheap PI call against Waddle and a no call PI at the end of the game, so I’m not complaining.
We’re winning games even though we’re leaving points on the field every single game. It shows how much talent this team has. There are still 8 games for us to continue to get better, which we need to do if we want to make noise in the playoffs.
Go Dolphins!!!
It’s not easy to win games in the NFL. Anyone else watching? π
Pretty pretty pretty good
Until we make the playoffs it don’t mean shit
We survived a game where a QB ran for 178 yards which is an NFL record. Put it in the books. We’re 6-3.
OK Howie Rose! lol
LOL
Kong – What did your wife think of the game today? She’s pissed like me, right? That’s assuming she even watched it. π
She just bought herself a nice Tua t-shirt and this was its first game, so she was happy it got a win. And she always watches, lol.
Nice! My Jets fan pal just texted me after I congratulated him on the win today over the Bills and lamented about how unsatisfying the win today was. He said “never throw them back in this league, everything evens out”
Mike, you can always get over a tough win. Losses are worse. π
I suppose so. I’m not going to feel good about this W though. I expected a jolt from our defense with the signing of Chubb, instead they laid an egg. Especially after hearing McDaniel saying that stopping Justin Field was a priority this week. WTF???
Imagine how many yards he would have gotten if we didn’t prioritize stopping him π³
We gave up zero sacks,
zero INTs,
zero fumbles.
We only had 3 penalties for 38 yards.
We only punted once, and it went 51 yards.
That’s us not beating ourselves.
Sometimes we have to accept a competitive football game. But we won two on the road. That’s a big deal.
Mike, we’re 6-3 and sometimes you have to win some crazy games. We’ve been on the wrong end of those for a long time.
The offense is making me think of the Marino O. And the defense is making me think of the Marino D.
Dolphins win suicide watch canceled π
Our oline was fantastic in pass pro today. Tua was only pressured a few times.
Be careful OD may be lurkingπ
lol
LOL @ Kong, 1000 maybe???
We’re 6-3 and in division contention, win outπ and we win division, but every division game is going to be a dog fight
Teams we thought were going to be good, Raiders, Broncos, Colts suck others like Cheats and jets have taken there place, but We’re in a good spot
FUCKity fuck fuck fuck!
2 out of 3 aint bad I guess
2 out of 3 what, bj, miss…?
Chase Elliot into the wall. Taking him out of the championship!
Astros
Dolphins
Chase Elliot / who’s a lap down now
The emotion of the game is gone sights set on future
Dolphins gave up 252 rushing yards today. Hard to put a good spin on that.
What like a W?
I knew we’d won before I looked up the stat, so doesn’t help much.
178 of that from a QB who is a weapon. It’s not really a reflection on run defense.
The emotion of the game is gone, sights set on future, it doesn’t mean shit going forward
Kohou is really growing on me. Kid never says die.
Needham is a 2023 FA, think I prefer Kohou
He shouldnβt be expensive, I say keep βem both
Anyone watching these two bad football games? You can thank the CBA for that. A watered down product that makes a ton of money because we’re all addicted. LOL
AZ game is interesting
On the last blog, the last post, I mentioned going to a future game in Death Valley, preferably against Bama, anyone interested in say 2024?
Hit me up when it’s closer
We have a good friend that goes to most of the home games.
She was out of town last night so she missed that one.
I’m thinking of going back if that freshman can become a Big Time QB, and it might take a couple years, soo … yeah.
Bills are 0-2 in the division
And 6-2 overall. But they got stung bad today for sure.
Steve – I think I prefer both Needham and Kohou. Needham is a gamer, I like him a lot
We see above πΊ
Cheers! https://t3.ftcdn.net/jpg/05/14/93/96/240_F_514939616_KOohfPwuKJdgyvK6w6kLqzu5mDEAUHnh.jpg
Tua has a 5:1 TD:INT ratio right now
Skip Bayless can suck a hefty garbage bag of dicks!
I bet heβs doing that right nowβ¦
Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith are busy trying to figure out what 69 means. LOL
LOL
Actually, make that a 4:1 ratio
Nope, never mind, today’s game not counted yet
Heβs 15:3
Iβm just upset we didnβt score 40
It was right there for us
Guess I can eat bacon this weekβ¦
I wonder if when Austin Jackson is healthy if even gets a chance to play LG or not. They may just keep him as a swing tackle as long as Shell is playing well and Armstead is healthy
We’re down a starting G and T, but thing is if they come back won’t make all that much of a difference.
I think we also had no injuries this game, right?
Thatβs a first
Good call. One more week, then our guys get a break to rest and heal up.
Tenn and KC are 3 & 4 in the AFC and that is going to change tonight

I was saying pretty much the same thing to a friend earlier. These are the games we used to lose. π
Go Dolphins!

I don’t understand the Cooper Kupp phenomenon.
His production is so amazing,
but it looks like he’s just cruising.
Clueless is as…
π€ͺ
We STILL haven’t played our best game.
Nothing close
In years past we needed great overall games to win
Aaron could only put up 9 on the Lions.
I thought Chubb looked ok for a guy with jet lag etc.
I think Jeff Wilson is EXACTLY what we needed at RB.
Stanger:
The 252 yards we gave up running was almost exclusively to Fields. Some schemed but lots of it was improvised by Fields. Both Montgomery and Herbert did nothing against us. 59 yards on 21 carries. We have a pretty stout run D.
We just canβt stop QBs that run like Fields and Jackson
QBs are going to break big ones when we have 8 guys at the LOS
Good teams win in spite of the other team having a “Best Day” for one player or the whole team.
We are doing that this year.
In the past, we always cussed that so and so QB had his career day against us,
and that is why we lost.
This year, they have their career day, but they still lose.
Our D has had something to do with those career days, but that’s our D, when they play bad they’re still able to make a key stop and when playing great susceptible to big plays, it’s all or nothing
Mike McDaniel Offense
You know who is #1 in yards per pass attempt this season (over 60 attempts)?
Tua
You know who #2 is? Teddy Bridgewater
also the Tyreek effect
Or MM
I’m happy for Dan Carpenter. He deserved another W.
oops
Dan Campbell
Wilson Jr looks like he is going to help this team consistently win
Both of our Wilsons are Juniors.

βββββ
I think there are some things that we can do schematically against running QBs such not play cover 0. I donβt get that against a mobile QB. When your DBs are in man their backs are to the QB it is going to create opportunities for the QB to run
Heβs right
You mean Skip Bayleeβs is wrong?
He’s not an NFL QB. LOL
Yeah, but…
Oh by the way. Josh Allen was terrible today
He was awful. His early pick was a horrible throw. Hey how about I throw it to the other team in a way that makes no sense to anyone. LOL
Jets D made hin uncomfortable, maybe not on that play, but overall
Allen had the bad throw against us for the winning score, he’s not as invincible as he seems at times
Tough one tonight, do we want KC to keep pace with Buffalo or Titans to maybe drop back?
Both seem close to division winner locks
Do we want KC to lose, because when we win division we want #1 seed?
IDK
Too early. Just win games…
So the Browns play tough D and get sacks, is that right?
So how to beat that?
We are going to have to establish the running game early to keep the oressure off of Tua. That game worries me- I donβt feel like we match up well against their D.
They’re coming off a bye too.
Tuaβs quick release is the way to beat them
I don’t agree the last play was PI, the way they call that is you can have your hands on the WR, if you don’t turn or impede him
I didn’t see either
Nobody knows anymore. It’s football. π
I agree. He didnβt affect the play.
I agree. What the DB did did not unfairly impede the WR. Another DB crashed onto the play which prevented the completion.
The DB was pulling the WR as he was going for the ball. We got lucky with the no call
I’m bringing a pair of glasses for you to the next festπ
That TD pass to Waddle was impressive because Tua rolling out had the 1st down running but he said no TD. Tua is an apex competitor.
Take the win and don’t look back! Well… watch the tape, BOYER… and get your Defense fixed. That game was far too close and the zebras actually gifted us a win at the end today, IMO.
Truthfully, if Da’ Bears still had Roquan Smith and our old friend Robert Quinn, we’d likely have lost today.
Jason Sanders, WTH is wrong with you as of late?
I believe our Defense is sorely missing a healthy X and Byron Jones. Got to make a game plan around those facts.
Wyoming/Naples I assume the game is in Baton Rogue every 2 years, so even years
Summer of 2024 before the season we can start the plans
Being a night game I’m sure the tailgate party goes all day
I agree that we probably lose if they still have the 2 guys they traded away.
Nah it changes everything
Baton Rouge?
Death Valley is in Clemson!!
Appears both are called Death Valley
X is just a good DB now, not great. I don’t think he even has 1 pick.
He’s hurt
We need to sack jacoby 5 or 6 times.
Just limit their O, Tua will take care of the rest
M13, I don’t think it’s on Boyer. The calls aren’t wrong. Too many missed tackles by the back end. You can only play with who you have. Fields is RB playing QB.
Some of it HAS to be on Boyer. Heβs the DC and they are getting eviscerated.
Boyer is next to get the MM speech, fix that shit
The scheme was wrong today. Too much cover 0 for a mobile QB
and their cover 0 isnβt nearly as effective when they donβt have corners that can play man. Itβs not just the lash rush that isnβt effective this year, but also the fact that the secondary is depleted . One has a direct effect on the other.
Titans loss probably means nothing at the EOY, shoe in for duvision, KC is only a half game up on Chargers, go Titans
Bucs and Falcons tied for the NFC south lead at 4-5.
Saints could move up to a 3-way tie with a win tomorrow.
So many more awesome teams than us. LOL
Brady went over 100,000 yards today. Thatβs insane.
Yeah but he only averages 2k yards a season, 2k X 50 = 100k
π
He’s been sacked the most too for the same reason
The really good news is we won, even after our D played awful for the second week in a row. I think itβs especially frustrating because we have lined for this offense for years, have had a solid D most years and now we are one dimensional again. I just hope that the D can turn it around like they did last year.
*pined
We’re 6-3 and our D hasn’t played any better than last year’s after 9 games, but we don’t have those weak opponents coming up
