If there’s one thing most Dolphins fans can agree on, it’s the fact that QB1 Tua Tagovailoa needs to stay healthy this season for the Dolphins to make the playoffs and more. That puts a lot of pressure on the offensive line, the protectors of one Tua Tagovailoa. An unfortunate development is last year’s center Connor Williams is now holding out and missed the last OTA’s. While Williams struggled all season long with high snaps, he played every single snap, and was a huge blocking upgrade both run blocking and pass protecting. In his stead in the last OTA’s, Liam Eichenberg took all the work at C and from all reports, looked good doing so. However this shakes out, we need to have our best 5 guys out there, and whether Williams plays OC or OG, we need him on the field. We already have question marks at LT, such as “How many games can Terron Armstead play, and play healthy? Detractors are everywhere when it comes to #74 Liam Eichenberg, wherever he plays on the line, and #73 Austin Jackson.
Let’s get back to Williams. He signed a 2YR/$14.035M contract just last season, and already he’s holding out? I want him to play, but I can say there’s going to be a lot of cap issues if we want to keep all our good players, and DL Christian Wilkins should be the first guy to get a contract extension. Williams played one season here and while I appreciate he played the entire season, that’s kind of what’s expected. Imagine if QB Tua Tagovailoa has the season we all hope for, what is it going to cost to keep him in a Miami Dolphins uniform? Bills DT Ed Oliver recently signed a 4YR/$68M contract. NYG DL Dexter Lawrence signed a 4YR/$87.5M deal. If Wilkins gets a contract somewhere in that neighborhood, and he deserves to, it’s going to be a challenge to pay everyone that needs to get paid. Granted, we did opt for Tua Tagovailoas’s 5th year option earlier this year which will pay him $23.7M. Still a bargain if he plays well and for an entire season or even the greater majority. I don’t know what Connor Williams demands are, if he wants an extension, or a significant raise and extension, but the latter may not necessarily be feasible.
If we can for a moment assume that Connor Williams plays under his current contract, or that we give him another couple of years with a modest increase, the O-line should be like this . . .
LT Terron Armstead – LG Liam Eichenberg – OC Connor Williams – RG Robert Hunt – RT Austin Jackson
Of course, all this is subject to change, even if Williams comes back. We may opt to play Eichenberg at C, and have Williams at LG, and then the RT spot may be up for grabs if Austin Jackson falters. We did bring in former Patriots OT Isaiah Wynn and former Jets OT Cedric Ogbuehi, both former 1st RD picks for insurance and competition. I know Hulk wants more, but realistically, more is not going to happen. Next year we can draft O-line early if necessary, and I understand Hulk thinks it’s necessary. RT Austin Jackson came into camp in great shape, a mans body so to speak. It’s important to keep in mind that Jackson was drafted as a raw rookie of 20 years old, and is still only 23 years old today. Perhaps it’s easy to say that he was a 1st RD reach, but that shouldn’t exclude him from being given an opportunity to win the starting RT spot. The LT spot will be one to keep an eye on, because it’s “when” Armstead is OUT, not “if. Terron Armstead has yet to complete and entire season of NFL play in his entire 10 year career. So Wynn, Ogbuehi or someone else will be forced into action at LT.
The Dalvin Cook to Miami narrative still lives in the minds of some, not this writer. We have a good mix of RB’s in our stable at the moment, lots of explosiveness. As I have previously mentioned, if we’re going to bring in a RB, let it be Leonard Fournette, who is a grinder, a reliable short yardage runner who has excellent receiving skills. RB by committee is the new norm, and Mostert, Wilson, Achane and either Ahmed or Gaskin is fine with me. If they want add a hammer, Fournette is the guy, we already have HR hitters with Mostert and Achane. I know Achane hasn’t played in the NFL yet, but RB is one position where talent translates very quickly to the NFL game. While A-Chain may not be the bellcow back, it’s just not necessary or even sensible. We already have backs and will probably carry 4 on the 53, and we will use them all. I won’t scream if we sign Cook, I just feel comfortable with what we got.

“I believe the Dolphins downgraded at quarterback moving on from Bridgewater, replacing him with White.”
– Omar Kelly
Hmmmmm, I’ll leave that one alone
Hmmm…..really? I wasn’t impressed with Bridgewater at all….
A QB that still isn’t on a team? Hmmm… we all watched him play last year. I want no part of him.
HOW DOES LAS VEGAS view the upcoming NFL season?
According to ESPN, Kansas City is the betting favorite, with Philly and San Francisco closely behind. No surprises there.
Further down the board, the Dolphins come in at 25-1, tied with Detroit, Jacksonville and the Chargers. The brutal truth is that very few people see Miami as a serious contender for the next Lombardi Trophy.
I’d think that at least a few on this board would be IN at 25-1 odds. But I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole. Last season I did OK by merely betting the Phins to have a winning season (even though I had to sweat it out down to the FINAL PLAY of the Jets game in Miami).
After the 3 preseason games have been played, I MAY bet on Miami to win at least 9 games again. But, alas, Miami’s inability to win a single playoff game THIS CENTURY will remain intact. As long as the team owner is NOT committed to upgrading the O-Line, the franchise will continue to be winless in the Playoffs . And that’s based on performance, not KOOL-AID!
I think health for major players is key. We have our best on the field most of the time we’ll win games.
Armstead, Williams and Hunt are the core of the OL. LG and RT are the open positions. We shall see.
Don’t sleep on Dan Feeney with a lot of starting experience at guard. We didn’t sign him because he wasn’t a good fit.
Austin Jackson locking down RT is our utopia. LOL
TIM; I AGREE that health is the key to this O-Line. And Armstead has proven that he can NOT be counted on for a major portion of the football season. Frankly, I doubt he’ll be healthy for more than half of Miami’s schedule based on his performance last season. And now he’s a year older.
As for the rest of our O-Line, they are, for the most part, a collection of under achievers. There’s NOT a likely All-Pro performer in the lot. So I expect Tua will be running for his life on way too many plays to be effective. And this means yet another season without a playoff win.
Worst of all, Ross and the Front Office have shown no inclination to fix the problem with draft choices in the first two rounds. Until proven otherwise, I say the future is bleak.
I understand your concern.
But every team has its weakest position group.
We have 3 first round draft choices in the OL room.
Jackson, Wynn, and Ogbuehi
And 3 second round picks.
Eichenberg, Hunt, and Williams
Plus All pro Armstead from round 3.
We have an Alabama national champion who blocked for Tua
(Cotton) and Feeney who has started 64 games and appeared in 96 in 6 years for backups.
There’s only so much money under the cap,
No OL can be dominant without some help
It has to start with MM, he must call more running plays, whether they are successful or not
If you allow a D to pin their ears back, you’ll be in trouble more times than not
Hey, here’s some fun news for me.
My youngest son up in Rhode Island just had our first grand-daughter!
Girls are rare in my family.
Sadie Noelle … just 7 lbs but doing fine. We’re flying up to meet her shortly.
Congratulations Naples! 🎀 🍼
I like the name. 7 lbs is a good size baby. My first one was 8-12. 2nd one was 7. I learned. 😂
Thank you.
Congrats
Looks like you have a new wonder women in the family
Sadie “Elizabeth” Holloway Marston Psychologist who helped create a groundbreaking lie detector test, and the inspiration behind the DC Comics character Wonder Woman
Oh I forgot about that Wonder Woman historical connection.
Cool.
My son’s wife is Tresa, which is spelled funny because it’s been in her mom’s family that way for generations, so they modified her father’s name Noel to Noelle, again to keep the tradition going on the other side of the fam, as her dad is like the 4th or something.
Anyway, I was like 8 lbs 4, and my son weighs 225 now, so they induced labor a little early because Tresa is so little.

Hope you get there without problems. Hulk is pretty close to New Haven if you need the streets cleared.
Haha … some day I’ll have to buy Hulk a beer on a trip up there. It would be cool to see him while so far from home.
Elly De La Cruz, rookie of the first place Reds

“All three bases” in an inning? There are four bases, and yes, ya can steal first base… just sayin’.
Nevertheless, MOST IMPRESSIVE by De La Cruz!
Isn’t stealing first base on third strike pitch grounded and all fielded cleanly a hit? How do you steal first base?
In the middle of your at bat you throw the bat down and just run to first lol

Stealing first base…
https://www.sbnation.com/2021/11/16/22785333/stealing-first-base-the-perfect-and-silliest-crime
I’ve stolen first base once before, back in the day. I’ve also stolen second, third, and home, but not ever in the same game.
Wtf…your article didn’t explain it unless I registered to some foreign website.
Show me MLB rulebook please…lol..should be fair enough to the claim
This…
https://thebaseballlifestyle.com/can-you-steal-1st-base/
I’m confused…lol.
Timing
The key to a successful steal of 1st base is timing. The runner must time their steal attempt perfectly so that they can make it to 1st base before the pitcher can throw the ball. This requires a great deal of focus and concentration, as the runner needs to be aware of the pitcher’s movements and anticipate when they will release the ball.
_______<
YET…
Stealing
Firstly, let’s take a look at the rules of baseball regarding stealing. According to the MLB’s official rule book, runners are allowed to steal bases, but only after the ball has been hit by the batter. This means that if the runner attempts to steal before the ball is put into play, they will be called out.
Furthermore, the rulebook states that a runner is only allowed to advance to the next base once the pitcher has released the ball. This means that a runner cannot attempt to steal 1st base until the pitcher has thrown the ball.
Chicken before the egg or the rules you’ve contradict one another imo…seems umpires have fucked up and given a pass…I don’t don’t get it.
When can you steal from being at bat? Before or after pitch?
Seriously, you’re at bat and decide to run (after or before a pitch) and you make it? You steal first? Such bullshit…lol
Quite honestly, I was talking about a 3rd strike where the catcher fails to contain the ball… then ya run to first base before you’re tagged out. That’s the unofficial term for ‘stealing first base’. Then I stumbled upon the above.
That’s what I fucking said…lol
Right! But it seems as though there is another way to steal first base.
I asked you how…and you haven’t explained it…thanks..lol
I’ve stolen all the bases too..lol..but not first and not a speedster…just aware
LOL
I know you’re better and by the way I’ve made it to first on a ball hitting the ground before catcher fielding it…so I guess to your bullshit claim, I’ve done it too without your speed..just saying…lol..all bases stolen
I used to be fast as a mofo in my day. Problem was, I sucked at hitting the ball. My coaches tried to find ANY WAY to get me on the base paths, even bunting (that worked!).

Secondly, congrats! Not too many have the speed to steal all four bases (that’s real)!
Thirdly, I’m NOT “better” than anybody. We’re all equal in my eyes as human beings.
Fourthly, it’s not MY “bullshit claim”. I’ve posted the claims of others, nothing more.

Man we had an entirely different team. X might be the only guy left.
It was weird seeing some of the formers….
Baker wiffed on first play i saw😊
Boise 💥
Baseball is weird. In Little League I hit several “inside the park home runs” that they were really just the outfielders missing and then throwing wild to second or the infielders over throwing third or home or nobody covering a base, etc. Etc.
If you could hit the ball into the right center field gap and just keep running, a lot of times they’d make errors on the throws in.
So those were Errors not Home Runs.
Kind of like my softball team
lol, nice
Lol…thank you!
I could never hit a baseball either. If they threw 75+ mph, I was swinging at a prayer. Got lucky a couple times. Sat on the bench keeping the score book most games.
I can hit the shit out of a softball though!

Looking ahead, according to OvertheCap.com, the Dolphins as it stands today will be over the cap by around $32 million but that is based on players that are on any contract length and does not take into consideration players that will not be on the 2024 roster.
He doesn’t take into consideration we’ll need to add players, that can actually play after releasing those not likely to make the team
Otherwise good article, and I agree we won’t be in cap hell next year, just not as strong as this year
Yeah I get what he’s saying, just draft guys to replace bug contracts and save cap, but getting NFL successful players is not as certain in the draft as it is in FA, which is why they cost so much.
Similarly, I got to first on dropped 3rd strikes about 10 times and scored from third a bunch on PB/WPs.
But that’s not stealing either.

I’m not so sure as Rodgers is only counting 1.2m against the cap, but next year 107m and they’ll be 51m over with about 30 real contracts and 21 < 1m
Something isn't quite right there, unless he only plays 1 year
59m in Rodgers dead money this year and 58m next year
In typical racist Omar fashion
I haven’t hidden the fact I believe the Dolphins downgraded at quarterback moving on from Bridgewater, replacing him with White. Even though Bridgewater couldn’t stay healthy for Miami last season, he possesses a veteran savvy this team could benefit from. He owns a 33-32 record as an NFL starter, and a quarterback who can deliver wins are hard to come by.
WTF does his career record have to do with anything, when his record last year with us was 0-3 (with game on the line and a chance to win)
Last year in camp it was obvious something was wrong with Betty, like a rookie, a step slow with the deer in headlights look
I will give credit to Omar on some of his other answers though, especially with Ramsey covering Kelsey in Germany

Back from a vacation on Majorca – Zach lookalike there. Even spoke to him. When I congratulated him on his HoF induction, he looked blank. You lead the series 1-0 Mike.
Followed the colonoscopy discussion – interesting they knock you out over there. I had one and was wide awake and watching the passage of the camera along my own passage. The farting afterwards was bliss and the cup of tea and toast nearly made it all worthwhile. By far the worst bit was the prep. The specialist complemented me on my purging and how much easier it made his job, but man that was brutal. I mention it mainly cos my latest sample came back all clear after my hols. Healthwise I’ve been lucky – never had an op and only suffer from allergies (hay fever historically and asthma now).
Stay healthy mob and congrats on the baby granddaughter Naples!
I thought it strange that everyone who chimed in on here said the same, as I was “awake” through mine as well. They SAID I was going to be in “twilight” and would not remember anything after. They were wrong. I was AWARE and I remember. LOL

Never heard of stealing 1st base. I don’t see how you can.
Dropped swinging 3rd strike is one, if you really want to call that stealing 1st, the 2nd way was in an article MF13 posted, that didn’t really explain it worth a damn, so IDK if you really can
Technically a dropped swinging 3rd strike is a passed ball, so not sure why people say that’s stealing 1st
Then there’s thus
https://www.mlb.com/cut4/baseball-player-steals-first-base
Yeah it’s not really classified as a stolen base. It’s awarded. Semantics but nobody in baseball looks at it as a stolen base.
Agreed, pass ball…lol…not a steal. A steal, to me and as I’ve always known it, is while on base, you beat the pitcher/catcher an advance to the next base because you STOLE it…lol
The Vikings being involved is weird to me.
https://dolphinstalk.com/2023/07/esiason-cook-has-7-mill-offer-from-minnesota-using-jets-to-get-more-money-out-of-miami/
They wanted to keep him. They just didn’t like the deal they had made with him so they cut him hoping to sign him back as a FA after he realizes that he is not worth 10-15 mil per season.
I thought he has always shut down any talk of playing for less than 10+M per. They already knew that and then low balled him again?
they KNOW he is not going to get 10M plus a season from ANYONE so regardless of him shutting down any talk of him taking less, he WILL take less when all is said and done. So why not? and 7M is not low balling him BTW
I understand the market for RBs, but if he wants 10+M per, 7M is low balling in his eyes.

He probably wants 25 mil for 3 years and 12 or more guaranteed
He should get that money based on incentives, imo….past performance is NO guarantee of future returns…lol…especially at his age.

Kamara will not be able to escape the wrath of Roger Goodell… and in this given case, I think rightfully so.
Naples, hope your travels went well to see your grandchild.
Ditto!
Does anyone else think we can win with the roster we already have? I do.
Personally, I think it’s possible, but unlikely. We are still on the rise and I’m not sure we are the best team in the NFL. Having said that, the best team doesn’t always win. Anything’s possible, but I’m not betting on it.
There are a lot of ifs.
Injuries, OL, McD improving, TE play…
But the biggest factor
might be chemistry.
Can our 2 stud CBs mesh?
Can Fangio inspire the D?
Can the PK and P get rhythm?
The good thing is McD seems to generate a positive mindset. Our team overcame a lot last year.
But we need to not have a losing streak, and we need to have gas left for the Playoffs.
For me TE isn’t an if
Based on last year, TE isn’t a focus position for this O, so why pay 10m for a TE?
It’s role is to block and occasionally catch a pass, we have 3 TEs, that can do that very well
I compare it to FB, and think we can get the same good production
On any given play we could have up to 3 TEs/FB on the field, and get the expected result/production on 75-90% of the time
If we can get that same expected result/production from the rest of the O we’ll have the best O in the league
I was excited for this season because it is the first season in a long long time that we will have the same offensive system and language in place two years in a row. I think that can only lead to better execution with better knowledge of the system and quicker decisions based on that knowledge (not just from the QB but from all the players)
Then we went and changed our Defensive system. (Which may be for the better, still to be seen as Fangio has ran top 10 defenses in HALF of his seasons. (Strangely enough the other have is MOSTLY bottom half results to temper your expectations)
I get the positive feelings but I’m just afraid of the let down again. Sophomore slump on offense, new install on defense, being a Dolphins fan in general…you know.
How many seasons have you said “this year is different”? Last year was different and we still only won 9 games to SNEAK into the playoffs. It seems like no one ever gets in in the AFC with only 9 wins. We got “lucky” last year. I can’t wait until I don’t have this feeling anymore.
GO DOLPHINS!
^
Pah…17-0, a playoff sweep and a Super Bowl championship here we come!
I hate to base anything on Tua’s health, but until he plays a full season it will be on everyone’s mind
Last year he seemed clueless, after getting rid of the ball or getting sacked, as for protecting his body
Pretty sure he’ll protect himself better this year and won’t have an injury, that costs him games
With that out of the way, I’m going to assume he finishes 15+ games, so I can see the O being more consistent this year
I don’t expect to see the 300+ combined yard games between Hill and Waddle, or the bad O games during the losing streaks
I expect a harder to stop, more balanced O, so less targets for Hill and Waddle, more targets for the secondary receivers and backs and more rushing attempts
Wanna double Hill and Waddle too often the other guys will beat you, we didn’t have enough other guys last year
Q
IDK where the Q came from
On D we can’t be worse orvas bad, if Ramsey and X are 75% of their best we’ll be pretty good and much better than last year
If they’re 85%+ of their best this D will be top 10
Chubb and Phillips were really good last year, but in that D they didn’t have the stats, this year playing at the same level the stats will be 10+ sacks each
Long’s health could be a factor, otherwise the rest of the front 7 is top 10 worthy
At S and the rest of the CBs we’re deeper, than ever
Fangio may have had some Ds, that weren’t very good, but I’d bet the ones with this much talent were all top 10
Q on Star Trek is portrayed by John de Lancie. He is an extra-dimensional being of unknown origin who possesses immeasurable power over time, space, the laws of physics, and reality itself, being capable of altering it to his whim.
It looks like NO ONE knows where Q came from. 😉
22. Michael Hall Jr. DT Ohio State
54. Graham Barton OT Duke
150. Cade Stover TE Ohio State
182. Nehemiah Pritchett CB Auburn
214. Jordan Strachan EDGE South Carolina
Not even making the playoffs huh?
It’s based on last year’s positioning for now. They update as the season goes on.
Even if 6+ picks later, still could get same players. Though, I think Barton sneaks into 1st round and I would take him with our first pick. Stud!
I’ve got Skylar as our #2 QB
They said White didn’t look good in OTAs and minis, but is a gamer
I’m not basing this on White, it’s based on Skylar taking the next step
He has something in common with the best QBs in the NFL currently, that’s his pocket movement/ability to extend plays, which is top trait of theirs
Skylar needs to improve his accuracy, timing and reading a D, when/if he does that the SKY(lar) is the limit😁
As good and refreshing as MysticMac was in year 1, year 2 is his big audition for me. If we don’t successfully mix up the run with the pass to produce more offensive balance, thereby keeping Ds off balance, the Karate Kid is going to get his head ripped off and our season is a bust again. Of course there are many other things that can derail our season, but that’s the biggest red flag in my book. To try to keep one step ahead of the pack, we also have to be able to shapeshift in-season too, which also sits at coach’s door. Big year for the head honcho.
NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP!
Adjust on the fly is key
Year 1 MM was an amateur play caller mixing run vs pass, if that continues he needs to find someone else to call plays
Maybe he just needs to have someone give him a running % as the game goes on to keep him aware of what it is
There’s other ways to keep the pressure off of Tua, but let’s hope running more is taken seriously
Now if Chosen and Berrios get open as much as I hope, running it more might not matter, but until that time run the damn ball
60 days to opener! LAC start out 0-1 baby!
The Clippers always were the redheaded stepchild😜
Waddle was pretty good his rookie season, and great last year with Tyreek taking some heat off of him
Wonder if that will apply this year with Chosen
He’s mostly been the top option, besides whatever he was traded into last year
I expect him to be better than the ceiling we had for Wilson, before Hill was traded for, maybe not it stats, but effectiveness
40 catches 55 targets 655 yards 5tds is my conservative expectation
IMPRESSIVE. I knew next to nothing about David Long going into this season. This breakdown gives me confidence in his signing.

Q on Star Trek is portrayed by John de Lancie. He is an extra-dimensional being of unknown origin who possesses immeasurable power over time, space, the laws of physics, and reality itself, being capable of altering it to his whim.
It looks like NO ONE knows where Q came from. 😉

GREAT character! “Captain, let’s play a game…” 🙂

Does anyone else think we can win with the roster we already have? I do.

If we have injuries turned off in Madden Football, YES.
If we suffer a key injury or two, it could derail our entire season… and we WILL suffer injuries. The good news is I like our depth now more than ever before this decade.
Here are a few key injuries that could derail us…
1) Tua: huge drop off to Mike White or Skylar
2) Mostert and/or Wilson: I don’t think we’ve got legit starters beyond them, and Achane is a rook. Both Mostert and Wilson are very injury prone.
3) Armstead: if our depth is good enough, we’ll be alright if Armstead misses a few games. But if he misses serious time, ugh.
4) Wilkins: he’s the glue of our Defense and I don’t like the depth behind him. If he goes down for any length of time, we’re in trouble on Defense.
Offensive solution: sign Dalvin Cook
Defensive solution: sign one of either Shelby Harris, Akiem Hicks, or Chris Wormley.
Matt Gaetz looks like Jack Nicholson from the shining.
NCC = not complete crap?
Not Climate Change. Kinda the same.
Lol, true

Mark Clayton has been nominated for 2024 pro football HOF Senior Class
His career numbers stack up
Injuries to key players is the same for every team. I think our roster can compete for a title. Not saying they will get that far but I think we have the ability.
We must have tougher MLB play.
Baker is fast and makes a bunch of tackles. But they are usually the drag-down style because he’s so lanky.
Long must help stop the QB scrambles and in general be the enforcer inside.
and 4-5 yards down field.
I think with less all out blitzes we’ll have better success containing QBs running on us. That’s we’re a lot of rushing yards came against us. We were pretty stout against the conventional run game.
Well deserved recognition for Mark Clayton.
2 big improvements must happen on Defense. More INTs and more finished-off sacks.
We were 17th in sacks in 2022.
40
In the low meh range
With slightly more than 2 per game
We were 29th with 8 INTs last year. The league lead was 20.
That translated to a minus 7 in TO ratio.
Not good.
-7 in turnover ratio? How did we win 9 games…lol
Hill
….got us over the hill (50/50 mark)…lol.
Rookies report next week. It’s coming fellas

Of course it’s the same for every team. Unfortunately for us (and especially in our RB room), we’re prone to injury at key positions.
Like I stated, if injuries are turned off in Madden Football… YES, this team is a contender.
If Tua (for one) can stay healthy all season, it automatically makes us contenders.
Sigh, not spam
Turn off the volume

IF we’re going all-in for a Super Bowl run before Steve Ross retires, we’re going to sign somebody else of significance before it’s all said and done. JMO

HA HA! Jet’s forced to be on Hard Knocks
Kamara get’s let off easy with a reduction to a misdemeanor charges and 100 hours of community service. Now he will get a slap on the wrist (1-2 games) suspension.
Bodes well for Hill maybe?
You guys ever argue with the robot test? MFer that is a scooter not a motorcycle! That is a truck not a car! LOL

Herd – As a West Virginian, what do you think of Joe Manchin?
Lol. That’s a tough question. I don’t think I’m your typical West Virginian. I like that he’s generally moderate and specifically he opposed Biden’s gazillion dollar spending plan-doesn’t go along with the party line. Bipartisan. I much prefer him over his potential opponents for the next Senate election if he runs again. Speculation he might retire or make a White House run. I doubt he’d do that, would have to be as an independent and not likely to win that way. I think he’s smarter than that.
On the other hand, he’s a politician, I don’t tend to like any of them. 😂
Thanks. Looking like he may run under a third party. If it’s him, Trump and Biden, he has my vote.
I’ll agree, if ever there is a chance for a 3rd party/independent to win, it’s going to be this next election. The other two choices are awful.
Maybe an independent in the WH will stop the…there’s no way that Bill will pass with the other party in the WH
The independent might actually pass stuff based on its core value, kind of like how colleges are now supposed to accept students
For me the problem with putting Trump back in is what will follow
Will we have another further left country after the 2028 election, and all the inflation that seems to come with it
I fervently hope that A-Aron’s game collapses a la Favre.
Don’t the jest owe him huge guaranteed money?
He’s set to make $107,000,000 in 2024.
58 mill fully guaranteed
CRASH AND BURN JET’S CRASH AND BURN
107m is his cap hit, it’s so high because this year he’s on the books for 1m
Hard to believe jets wanted some type of guarantee he’d play in 2024
I now hope he does, with a cap like that they can’t compete and will cost them for years
The folks at CBS agree. Make it so!

I see articles coming out stating this is a make or break season for Tua. The way I see it, if he suffers another concussion, I get it. But that’s it. He’s already shown he can play at an elite level.
I don’t really think “make or break” is the right way to characterize it either
If he suffers concerning injuries this year, I think he might stay here in Mimi for low $ and we might be inclined to look at drafting a new QB (it’s expected to be a good class in 2024)
I agree – he’s shown he’s a top QB. Health is the only concern and it’s really just a question of a long term commitment and money IMO
Sometimes players with injury problems get past them – so even if one occurs this season, it’s not exactly “break” territories as far as I am concerned
For sure he’s a top QB, injuries again this year that cost him games are going to be in play for a new contract
If it’s a concussion, then Tua will have to make the decision to keep playing or not, and might lower his new contract
With Tua on his fifth-year option, the Dolphins have been aggressive in building a star roster. How far this team goes will depend on the performance of Tua and whether or no he can stay healthy enough.

The fact that Tua is in his 4th year Rosanne Rosannadannas the entire article
Thoughts
Well, just like Tua and Armstead haven’t ever played a full season, until you do something there will always be doubt from someone and rightfully so
Like Piggy said make or break isn’t the way to phrase it.
Well done
Why is this important, one might ask? Christian Wilkins.
Wilkins doesn’t have the sack numbers but he’s still going to get paid.
4 yrs 96m means nothing by itself, what’s the guarantees and breakdown
Tyreek 30m avg per yr was reported, then we find out his last year had a 50m+ cap hit not guaranteed, so not likely to ever be part of the contract
The size of the contract usually dictates guaranteed money. He got paid.
Shocking right? They couldn’t find anyone to blame the coke on
I don’t understand the outrage about it. They do not strip search visitors to the white house. U75’s out there saying “how could this happen!?” “How could they not know?” Well they don’t have x-ray scanners at the entrances.
Willie Nelson smoked pot at the white house. HOW COULD THAT HAVE HAPPENED!?
When you have one cover up after the next, then all the lies, you tend to think something is going on
Tim and Steve,
I’m none too concerned about the details of Q Williams’ contract either. Let’s just say that Williams has now ‘set the market’ for re-signing Wilkins. I’m very sure that we can make it work one way or the other.
Wilkins and his camp likely trying to get as much guaranteed money as possible and they should.
^
Correct. And that’s why I posted the Q Williams general contract.
We should know the guaranteed money soon.

Captain Picard would agree!
Rockphin,
I’ve heard that the series “Picard” really sucked, but that the last season redeemed it all. I’ve not seen it… have you? No spoilers, if so!
No, I’m not sure which streaming service it is on, but not netflix, Max or Prime and I refuse to subscribe to any more. My monthly “electronic communication” bills already total north of $300 per month between internet, phone, cable and subscriptions. It is ridiculous. I added up the taxes and fees and they are over $60 per month just in taxes and fees!
I wonder which city gets the “City tax” on my cell bill?
There it is, the guaranteed money…
I’m only 2 hours late on the guaranteed money… my bad!

I am still enraged about the loss to the Pats last year. (just random flashback, LOL) I forgot we split with the east last year and didn’t sweep any of them.
Enraged?
“Lighten up Francis”
We still made the playoffs but we were beat up and without Tua. If we can get there mostly healthy we compete with anybody.
