2023 Season – Game 5 – Giants @ Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins return home from an unsuccessful trip to Buffalo, NY. You can look at this game from many different perspectives. You can say it was a tough task traveling to Buffalo for the 3rd road game in 4 games. You can say in general Orchard Park is a house of horrors for the Dolphins, which it is. You could also look at it from the viewpoint that if this team is really ready to compete for a division title and beyond, we need to be able to not only compete with teams like the Bills, but beat them. Well, this past Sunday we did neither, at least not past the beginning of the 2nd quarter, where the score stood at that time at 14-14. The Bills then ran away, scoring 17 unanswered points and eventually finished on top with a lopsided 48-20 victory.

One game however, does not mean that all is bad in Miami. Credit Bills HC Sean McDermott for finding a way to shut down the Dolphins offense, something the Patriots did as well up to a point. The bright side is, I have no concerns with our offense. We lost a couple of role players, WR’s River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma, Cracraft more in a receiving role, while EZ was used in the rushing attack and seldom used as a receiver. Both players are on IR so they will both be out a minimum of 4 games. In the mean time, the Dolphins acquired former Steelers and Bears WR Chase Claypool for a 6th RD pick in 2024, the Dolphins receive Claypool and the Bears 7th RD pick in 2024. This offense is evolving constantly, and now LT Terron Armstead will spend some customary time OUT, he’s also now on IR with multiple injuries. We have seen the emergence of rookie RB De’Von Achane, and he’s been nothing less than electric. His stats are off the charts, but lest we not forget how well Raheem Mostert looks this season. I’m also impressed with big back Chris Brooks from BYU, and RB Jeff Wilson is set to return shortly from injury. RB Salvon Ahmed is also healing up, so that’s one very crowded backfield, and how the touches are divided are anyone’s guess. Achane has been used sparingly despite the outrageous returns on his limited touches, and to be fair, they might just keep it that way to keep him healthy. This may also benefit Raheem Mostert who is now 31, and although he’s bulked up and looks like a different back, he’s got quite the injury history, so splitting carries might be the recipe to keep both healthy and productive.

OK, finally, what about the defense? I loathe to talk about the defense, or lack of defense if you will. This defense scares no one. It’s toothless. We’ve been gashed on the ground, through the air, every which way. ST’s has allowed a blocked FG attempt and has allowed a return TD. The super hyped Jaelan Phillips wasn’t much when he played, and now he’s likely to miss his 3rd straight game. The defense has 10 sacks after 4 games, and if I told you after 4 games that Andrew Van Ginkel would be leading the team with 3 sacks, you’d have laughed at me. AVG is doing his best while Phillips is out and while Bradley Chubb is largely ineffective. The other 7 sacks are distributed with a sack each for Long, Ogbah, Chubb, Wilkins, Sieler, and Kohou, and hype-boy Phillips shares 1/2 sack with DB Justin Bethel. The Dolphins defense is allowing just a hair under 30 PPG, a far cry from what we all expected with the Vic Fangio hiring.

The Jonathan Taylor rumors went wild, this after the Dalvin Cook rumors went wild. OK, the problem on this team is not the run game, or the players in the run game. Now that Taylor is eligible to return, he’s eligible to come off the PUP list, and appears fully healthy from his January ankle surgery. We just traded for WR Chase Claypool, so how long before Taylor to Miami starts again, and it probably already has, although I’ve read the Packers really want him. I said we didn’t need him before, and I’m sticking to that position. We could potentially be better with Taylor, but I think we’re more than fine with what we currently have.

Back to the dreaded defense. Cam Smith, ZERO defensive snaps, has only played special teams. Our 1st pick in this year’s draft, #51 (2nd RD pick), can’t seem to crack the lineup ahead of Eli Apple for one. I love Kader Kohou, what Dolphins fan doesn’t? Kohou is a nickel back, and actually, good news is on the frontier, because Nik Needham can potentially be back as well as OG Robert Jones. Both have been designated to return in which the team has a 21 day window to be activated, much like the Colts Jonathan Taylor. It would be wonderful for Needham to get back, he’s a favorite of mine because he always seems to step up to the challenge before him. I don’t know whether Vic Fangio just feels that Cam Smith isn’t ready, doesn’t like rookies, I’m not sure, but to see Eli Apple lining up and playing like Eli Apple has, it’s disheartening to fans that Cam Smith hasn’t received a chance.

It’s looking Connor Williams may miss another game with an injured groin muscle. Both Robert Jones and Nik Needham logged back to back limited practices, so they’re not on the radar for this week. C Connor Williams also has 2 limited practices, so we’ll see whether he suits up against the Jints, who by the way will be without 3 starters on their O-line, LT Andrew Thomas, LG Shane Lemieux and C Jon Michael Schmitz, while RB Saquon Barkley will be a gametime decision. Our beleaguered defense may actually have a favorable matchup, stay tuned. You have to figure we’ll rest Phillips in this one as he’s still bothered with that oblique injury. I expect our offense to get back to normal, not necessarily 70 points, but 30 or more points in this one. The NY Giants are league last scoring only 11.5 PPG, while allowing 30.5 PPG on defense, just behind our Dolphins defense. Hopefully the Dolphins get their mojo back and come back again next week to Hard Rock for the Fest at 4-1, still atop, either tied or maybe alone after a battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars who got back on track against the Atlanta Falcons to go to 2-2.

De’Von Achane Injury Update: How Long Will Miami Dolphins RB Be Out?
The question isn’t if Miami Dolphins RB De’Von Achane will miss time with a knee injury, but how much?

Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane is out this week and beyond after test results revealed a knee injury that, while not major, is also not insignificant, per multiple reports.

    De’Von Achane Injury Update

Achane got hurt in the second half of Sunday’s Dolphins win over the New York Giants, and while he tried to tough it out, the team’s medical staff was concerned enough that they sent him for further examination.

While the exact nature of Achane’s injury was not available as of Tuesday morning, both ESPN and NFL Media reported that Achane will miss multiple weeks. The team is reportedly still deciding whether or not to place Achane — whose 460 rushing yards lead the AFC — on injured reserve (IR).

ESPN reported that Achane will get a second opinion. Putting Achane on injured reserve would give him nearly six weeks to heal. The Dolphins have games the next four weekends, and then their bye.

Tuesday’s news should have come as little surprise to close observers of the Dolphins. During his Monday news conference, head coach Mike McDaniel was intentionally vague about the severity of Achane’s injury.

Achane’s injury will almost certainly mean the return this week of running back Jeff Wilson Jr., who is eligible to come off of IR at any time. Wilson missed the first five weeks of the season with a midsection injury.

    Fantasy Impact From Achane’s Injury

Raheem Mostert has been a top-10 running back in three of the past four weeks, and if he assumes just half of Achane’s work, he will be flirting with 20 touches in an offense that has been as productive through five games as any in NFL history.

In this spot, Mostert is a top-15 RB regardless of matchup and a top-10 play this weekend against a Panthers defense that ranks 28th in yards per carry allowed (4.9).

Wilson’s role as he comes off of IR is a question mark, but he could see extended work sooner rather than later as a result of this injury. With a history of injuries himself, the touch count will be kept in check, but even 8-12 touches in this offense are enough to make Wilson a Flex option while Achane is sidelined.

I’m slotting him ahead of a back like Tyler Allgeier — someone with a reasonable role but comes with much less offensive upside. Wilson’s value could come more in Week 7 than in Week 6, as we will have a better idea of his health and with six teams on a bye.

    Head Coach Mike McDaniel

(Our readers have expressed concern about RB De’Von Achane’s ankle. Did he emerge yesterday with any sort of ankle issue?) – “Oh no. He’s kind of dealing with – it’s more his knee. And we’re evaluating it, but more information as it goes.”

(Do you think he’ll be questionable for Sunday?) – “I’m not really thinking anything so much right now. He’s still in the process of getting evaluated, so it’s to be determined.”

(Is RB Jeff Wilson Jr. getting designated to return?) – “That’s something that we were planning on visiting once we got the entirety of the medical evaluations that come through in the latter half of today and some tomorrow. Our plan is to revisit that regardless, which was our plan going into it. We’ll talk about it probably tomorrow.”

(You’re 4-1 for the first time since 2003. How do you prepare for a team that’s seeking their first win of the season?) – “Well, I think it’s pretty obvious. You just said it, maybe accidentally. But teams that that have been losing for a while, have a lot to play for if nothing else. Having gone through a losing streak ourselves just last year on a couple occasions, you know how hungry you are for a win. And it’s a talented team. The objective that we’re really as a locker room starting to identify, starting to understand, is it’s about our game and nothing else. So if you’re the type of team you want to be, it doesn’t go up or down depending on whatever the record of anybody is. That team is coming to play. And we’re worried about our game and making sure that we continually improve. So if we’re trying to be that type of team, that’s the way you approach it. And that’s why there’s no such thing as a trap game. It’s 1/17th of the season and that definitely factors into the equation at the end of the year. So they’ll be geeked up like most teams are in the National Football League, and we’ll have to bring forth our best game not only to try and win the game, like you do every week, but for our bigger picture goals of trying to get better week in and week out. We can’t afford to take a step back. So I know that guys look forward to any time we get to play in front of the Hard Rock (Stadium) fans. It’s awesome. I think we’ll have plenty of things to play for because the season has just begun and really records are semi-irrelevant at this point.”

(I wanted to ask one more about RB De’Von Achane. Did you know what happened when he got hurt? He was out for a bit but then he came back.) – “No. There was, like I said, something that we’re treating that we’ll get more information on. But he was in and out of the game, standard rotation at the end of it like normal. He thought that he might have something but he’s such a tough kid that it was kind of tough to read. So we need to evaluate more, and that’s what we’re doing today.”

(One last thing on that. But to just to allay fans concerns, do you at least know that it’s not something that would sideline RB De’Von Achane for the season? Or is that still unknown?) – “When I don’t know, I literally don’t spend anytime forecasting either way. That’s all this is just because we’re getting more information. But I find it trivial to even forecast until you get all the information. So I really don’t know.”

(Is RB De’Von Achane undergoing a MRI today or anything like that?) – “Yeah, I mean there’s various things that he is undergoing. Handshakes as well. High fives. I think from all accounts, had a good breakfast and lunch. But we’re just evaluating it. That is part of the process.”

(There’s a formation that I noticed you guys used the past couple games with RB De’Von Achane, RB Raheem Mostert, WR Tyreek Hill and WR Jaylen Waddle on the field at the same time. I’m curious, do you have a name for that formation?) – “It’s slow guys. Slow guys personnel. All the slowest guys on our team are in that personnel group. (laughter) But yeah, we have a lot of personnel groups depending on who is playing Y or playing F. Generally, when you have a fullback, running back, two receivers and a tight end, you call that 21. And when you exchange a fullback for another half back, you call it Fast 21. So it’s called Fast 21.”

(I was calling it 4×4 and didn’t know.) – “It’s always been named Fast 21. It just so happens that there’s some fast people in Fast 21 now.”

(With that specific, super-fast 21 personnel group, what kind of strain does that put on a defense having all those guys on the field at the same time?) – “I think the way they’re playing football and have really taken to various assignments being able to multi-train and get some receiver responsibilities from running backs and some running back responsibilities for the receivers, because of their football acumen, it does present a problem that there’s always some sort of solution defensively, and so they have to be – especially if you have a tell, in terms of what you’d like to do in it. So I think it’s a testament to all those guys’ commitment to the whole offense because we’re able to run various different types of schemes, runs, passes, drop-backs, play-actions and all sorts of things out of that, because they like being out on the field together.”

(How’s OL Isaiah Wynn?) – “He’s doing good. He’s a tough dude. I don’t expect anything holding him back, but we will get some more information in about 24 hours and he should be good. But we’ll see with that information.”

(Have you had a chance to evaluate the celebrations this week? WR Tyreek Hill’s celebration and the first ‘Waddle’ of the season, what were your thoughts?) – “I thought (Jaylen) Waddle stepped his game up. He got kind of a cross-brand there with like a toy figurine and his known ‘Waddle’ dance. All things equal, I think as a team, we all agree that the best celebrations don’t include 15-yard penalties. But the gesture was fantastic.”

(We always hear how coverage and rush marry together on defense. The pass rush got home a lot yesterday. What role do you think the coverage played in getting all that pressure on the quarterback?) – “They go hand in hand for sure. It was really exciting. I thought the defense had the best week of practice they’ve had all year and I think it definitely translated. I think the players saw it. Quarterback hits were the most since a certain amount of time that was a while ago. I think that’s a testament to team defense for sure. You can’t have one without the other. You have explosive plays when the coverage isn’t tied to the pass rush, even if you’re getting home pretty quick. The idea of our defense really, in general, is that when we’re tied together, you force teams to have to execute at the highest level or you make them pay by being a little too aggressive or being too conservative. So I thought that there were the most examples of the vision of what we want to be as a defense last game, which is what you want to see.”

(Is yesterday’s win the type where, despite coming away victorious, there’s still so much you can harp on as a coach with the three turnovers and whatever else you may have found?) – “My hope for our team and where I really think we’re at, is I think that the coaching staff is ready to be extra particular and I don’t think the players would have it any other way. I think the players, they understand that if we continue to improve, we have a lot of good things ahead of us. But any positive result that we’ve had thus far in the season can be directly attributed to handling business that day. So if we take things one Monday at a time, game review and be critical of ourselves there, then once Wednesday hits, hit each step of our process and our approach to the opponent, then we are our best selves. So I’m hoping, expecting really, internal motivation from both sides, both players and coaches at the highest level starting Wednesday, for sure.”

(I think yesterday was the first day WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. played the most snaps at receiver beyond the starters, obviously. Was that game plan specific or has Cedrick done something in practice that impressed you, Wide Receivers Coach Wes Welker and Offensive Coordinator Frank Smith the last couple of weeks?) – “We were planning on him having more opportunities. He has been playing very, very well in practice. Really, in the game, he made a ton of plays in the pass game and there’s even more in the run game he did. We asked him to do some heavy lifting with some point of attack blocks on the perimeter and he executed it. Not only was he willing, but he executed some tough blocks, some tough downs that really opened some stuff up in the run game. His imprint on the game was very positively felt by all of his teammates and really helped in a lot of results.”

(How did CB Nik Needham and OL Robert Jones get through the week of practice?) – “No setbacks. We’re feeling good about it. I’m excited about continuing to push the envelope Wednesday. At any moment, that could happen there. We’re just making sure that it’s a healthy return to ball, which is what they both have signed up for.”

(It’s been a while since we asked you about CB Jalen Ramsey and his progress. Are you getting closer to maybe nailing down a timeline for him to first return to practice?) – “Well, he hasn’t sprinted yet except past you guys. I got intel that you guys noticed that. (laughter) He’s doing a great job. He’s a special breed and he is on the positive side of returning for sure.”

(You guys had so many blocks yesterday with offensive lineman outside the numbers, getting in space, squaring up some big blocks. What kind of value does that add to your team when you have such athleticism on the offensive line?) – “It’s the strain, three, four seconds into a play and those blocks that are occurring closer to the numbers or outside the numbers. If you’re a successful offense running the ball, that’s pretty much a staple. I think it’s consistent with any good running team that you’re having 100 percent commitment to executing your assignments. The second you start having success, guys start understanding how important each and every block is. As we do find success, we’re finding more and more plays where guys are engaged with the appropriate leverage relative to the back. You’re seeing a lot of our ball-handlers make some plays and you’re even seeing linemen doing some pretty cool stuff on receiver screens as well. I think that is a picture that if you’re wanting to be successful in those phases, it will always kind of have those marks. Glad that it’s showing up now.”

Did the NFL Really Fine Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill ‘More Than 100k’?
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill made a bold — and almost unbelievable — claim about NFL fines sent his way.

    By
    Adam H. Beasley
    October 10, 2023 | 2:46 PM EDT

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill claimed on Tuesday that the NFL has fined him a staggering sum:

    “More than 100K,” Hill tweeted.

Assuming those fines were all from the Giants game — which, with Hill, who loves to troll, is never a safe assumption — that would mean he played for free last week. NFL players get paid in weekly installments throughout the season. Hill’s base salary in 2023 is $1.2 million.

Don’t feel too bad for Hill. He’s already earned more than $90 million in his eight-year NFL career.

But still, that seems like an unfair penal sum for a player who wasn’t involved in a fight, didn’t make contact with an official, and didn’t lead with his helmet.

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Fined Again?

Hill did, however, commit a handful of lesser infractions, including flashing the peace sign as a taunt during his 69-yard touchdown pass, going into the stands to hand the football to his mother during the celebration, and perhaps violating the league’s uniform code.

Hill told the Palm Beach Post last week that the NFL fined him $7,000 for not wearing socks.

“So in the Broncos game, the first touchdown, I didn’t have any socks on at all,” Hill said. “But I was getting an IV, and I didn’t want to be late for the play. So I didn’t have time to put on my socks.”

Hill was unchastened. Even after getting the costly letter from the league, he still included his mom in his most recent touchdown celly.

“My mom told me before the game, when we were riding over here, she was like, ‘I need to be a part of your touchdown celebration today,’” Hill said.

“I was like, ‘Mama, I’m going to get fined.’ And she was like, ‘I don’t care about that. I just need to be a part of today. Like, make it about mama.’ So when I scored, I was calling her down, and she was making her way down.

“And when I gave it to her, a guy took it. Somebody took it. But my mom, she’s a bulldog. She’s like, ‘Give me my ball.’ So you already know it. I got a flag for it, but it was worth it though. Team Mom all day.”

The NFL reveals fines late each week.

Found it. We have 5 takeaways and 8 giveaways. We are tied with the Falcons and Broncos at -3. Not as bad as I thought, but…

Bills tied for second at +6 (lead the league with 13 total takeaways)
    Jets +1
Pats second to last at -8 (Vikings last at -9)

Chiefs are actually at -2. Guess it pays to have an explosive offense to recover.

The Palestinian people are pawns and many of them support Hamas. We’re talking about a population less than New Jersey, almost half, and they are part of a major global conflict.

My biggest concern for this next game is keeping Panthers Edge Brian Burns off Tua. He is a beast. He is playing on a 5th year option, so he is playing for his big payday next year when he is an UFA.

He has 42 sacks in 69 games (56 starts) and 85 QB hits (not pressures) with 8 FF. I think he was a Pro Bowler last 2 years.

  12. steveccnv says:

When talking about what’s going on in Israel, I’m not focusing on politics. It’s beyond that now. There are people on this planet who have no regard for human life, or any other life. There is always one common denominator and too many people aren’t willing to realize that simple FACT!!!🙄

    • mf13ss says:

100% agreed. When I posted a comment over the weekend about this, I wasn’t trying to be political either… though I realize it came across as political being I was in my feelings… damn near in tears.

This is some very serious shit and we are known as “Big Satan” to Iran and Hamas (and all Muslim radicals– the crazy ones). We could see terrorist attacks in this country very, very soon.

This isn’t a political statement, this is about terrorism. 😦

      • Tim Knight says:

You made it political in those posts. That’s what people frown upon.

I get frowned upon for calling it like it is because it’s emotional for a lot of people and I get that. But it is holy wars.

Yes, in retrospect, I realize I got too political… I understand that now. Like I said, I was in my feelings big time just overwhelmed with sadness. Thus, I’m not upset with anybody for calling me out.

We lead the league in QB hits.

That speaks volumes about our back end not getting the job done, maybe having Ramsey back will start to turn pressures into more sacks

  21. mf13ss says:

It’s cliche to hear that a team is only ‘one player away’, but it’s oftentimes true. Once we get Ramsey back, we have two lockdown BALL HAWKS(!) in he and X. That pushes Darth Kader back to his natty nickel slot. That further frees up our Safeties to do so much more.

And once that happens, I believe the sacks and INTs will grow for us.

    • Tim Knight says:

I guess the real question is why is there anything at all? That’s always been a mind boggling question for me. If there’s nothing is that something?🤔

      • mf13ss says:

My good friend, that’s the biggest question on our planet, since life began. There is no definitive answer as of yet (likely not in our lifetimes).

TRUE science over the centuries (not this BS science of today) would conclude that ya have to have something in order to get something. That’s where FAITH in a higher being and/or purpose comes into play.

For further reference, rewatch Monty Python’s “The Meaning of Life”. 😀 I LOVE that movie!

NOBODY can answer the great question you’ve posed… which has been asked since the beginning of time. However, I choose Christ Jesus… and I truly believe in Him. Take note that I’m not a ‘Bible-banger’ either… for I’ve many warts… I’m no better than ANYBODY else and I’m not judgmental of others.

Everybody is free to live as they feel fit, granted it doesn’t impose violence and harm to others. But at some point in time, I think everyone must consider who/what/when/why/how we came to be and for what purpose… and what’s next?

The universe is SO, SO large and we aren’t the only ones in it. Who/what created… IT? The fundamental principles of chemistry, gravity, time, age, etc? We’re in the infancy of our creation, IMO, and there’s so much more to discover! And that includes our CREATOR!

EVIL exists in the world, my man… and I don’t blame Israel for being done with peace accords.

It’s truly EVIL what the fuck Hamas has done to civilian babies, children, women, and the elders… never mind what they did to men who tried to retaliate against their terror campaign.

    ——————-
The U.S. Border Patrol has encountered over 70,000 special interest aliens on America’s borders over the past two years (Oct 2021 to Oct 2023)—many from the Middle East.

A special interest alien is a government term used to refer to an illegal alien from a nation that either promotes terrorist activity, harbors terrorists, or poses a possible security threat to the U.S.

Many were from Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Pakistan, Turkey, etc.

Hundreds of them were already on terrorist watch lists. The others, there’s no way to know who they are because most of their home countries don’t share data records with the U.S., so there is nothing to match a name to when border patrol agents run fingerprints.

Since 2021 they have released 99% of border crossers into the country without knowing who these people really are.

That’s who they caught. Every day, 10-20% of everyone crossing the border make it undetected. A House Judiciary Committee report found that more than 1.7 million known got-aways have successfully evaded Border Patrol agents and entered the country over a 26 month period.

Yes, I would say we have many terrorists among us spread throughout our country.

    • mf13ss says:

Correct, and that’s a HUGE part of what I stated over the weekend, making it political over Joe Biden’s open-border policy.

    • bailbondmike says:

1.7 million undetected people in just over 2 years. That’s like more than the populations of North and South Dakota combined. More people than the populations of 11 different states.

I’m afraid to look at the total number who have crossed in that time frame.

So, weird question, but do you guys pluck or buzz your nose hairs? I know from meeting some of you that you do neither so you butt out. I recently was given one of those nose and ear hear trimmers. (hell, recently…I got it 4 years ago at 50 SMH) anywho I shaved yesterday and found it under the sink and used it in my nose. Fuck that thing! Now I have 100’s of little prickly spikes inside my nose!

    Plus she is hilarious.

I am at a loss to understand what is happening in Israel.
Here we are having fun with the baseball playoffs and the NFL season,
and Hamas is slaughtering innocent unarmed people.
Don’t they have any way to find something fun or productive to do with themselves?

Besides the stupidity of living a pointless life like that,
the other thing that occurs to me is that they murdered hundreds of teens and young 20-somethings who were just dancing at a party at a live music concert.

How can they be proud of that?
    That is so cowardly.

    • CavalierKong says:

We’re good, bro. The only way we lose this game is if something catastrophic happens early (I won’t even type it out). We have too much talent to lose at home to this team. If we play a clean game we win by 3+ scores. If we’re sloppy, it’s more like the Giants game.

  49. CavalierKong says:

Congrats, Wyo. 7 ALCS in a row is a very impressive feat.

  50. Mike E. says:

Tim – there are owners and CEO’S of companies that want all the names on those letters so they can blacklist them from ever getting hired at those companies. That’s what needs to happen. Say stupid things, win stupid prizes

  51. Rockphin says:

I don’t want to get into a big political conversation here on the blog (but I will be happy to discuss tomorrow night or Sat night at D&B) but I think people are mistakenly conflating Hamas with Palestinians. One can support the plight of the Palestinians while still condemning the actions of HAMAS. Most of the poor Palestinians who are being killed by Israeli air strikes indiscriminately are not part of Hamas.

    • Mike E. says:

Of course Rock. I think there should be a Palestinian state, they deserve that as much as any country does. Hamas doesn’t represent Palestine, in fact, they are using the Palestinian people as shields, occupying their schools, hospitals etc. I’m specifically talking about letters written by student groups blaming Israel for this war, and blaming them for the Hamas attacks.

I just told the boss I am taking half a day today to get ready for my vacation tomorrow. He was like “whatever, get out of here. Have a great weekend.

Bad news is I am not leaving early to party. I am on my way to get a root canal on my bottom left rear molar which I broke on a frozen M&M Sunday afternoon. I have been walking around with an exposed nerve for 4 1/2 days.

The bright side is I was able to get an appointment before the fest, otherwise I would be backing out.

The Panthers list 3 Guards and a Tackle on the injury report, along with a TE and a RB, so their blocking / rushing might be impacted.

plus a DE and their best pass rusher are banged up, so we should be able to pass pro.

I hope that offsets us losing Achane, Cracraft, and Ezukanma.
