2023 Season – Game 14 – Jets @ Dolphins

Buckle up Dolphins fans, the NFL season is a thrill ride and this Sunday’s matchup against the Jets can go any number of ways. Before writing this article I’ve listened to 3 different sports shows, one in Miami on WQAM (The Joe Rose Show) and the other 2 in New York on WFAN, catching the last segment on Boomer and Gio discussing the Jets vs Dolphins game as well as Tierney and Licata in their opening segment, also discussing the game Sunday. Joe Rose has a regular appearance by Mike Florio from ProFootballTalk, and of course, they also discussed the game. The difference of opinions is as you would expect, all over the place, and the reasoning, all over the place too. Comments like “Well, the Jets are playing good football now, and the Dolphins are reeling, so . . . “, or “I think the Dolphins will win this one but it’s going to be a very close game, especially if Tyreek Hill doesn’t play”.

The way I see it is every game is its own little part of the season, and I also think momentum is such an overrated and overused word. ”The Jets are playing really good football”. You mean the Jets that lost 13-8 the previous week to the Atlanta Falcons? One game does not give ANY indication of anything other than a one game performance in the NFL. You can’t bet on that same type of performance in a different location, against a different team, and expect similar results. That much I can guarantee you. This is a compelling game, it means a lot to the jets who have a very outside chance of still getting a playoff berth. It means a lot to the Dolphins who sorely want to win the division and find the Buffalo Bills right back in striking distance after the brutal loss to the Titans Monday night. I find it comical that all of a sudden Jets QB is the Messiah and he’s going to get it done. Every game is lightning in a bottle. Sometimes the lightning strikes, sometimes it doesn’t.

Monday Night’s loss to the Titans in my mind was one of the worst losses in recent Dolphins history. Was it worse than the Ravens 59-10 thrashing in 2019? Well, in the context of importance and the fact that we had a 2 TD lead with less than 5 minutes to go, yes, it was worse. I don’t know if Tyreek Hill is going to be able to play, or if he plays, how many snaps he can play, and whether he can be effective. The difference is we can game plan around not having him, and if there’s one thing you have to give Mike McDaniel credit for, he can game plan. WR Jaylen waddle will have to step up and take on a bigger role, and then other receivers like Cedrick Wilson, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, maybe even Chase Claypool if they decide to sit Tyreek altogether. I don’t feel like last week’s game defines our season, and the team shouldn’t either. We saw the graphic, teams leading by 14 points with 3 minutes to go on Monday Night Football were 767-0. It was crazy, but if you’ve ever played sports, you know crazy things can happen in any given game. So many things have to happen bad for one team and good for the other for that comeback to happen, and that’s exactly how it went. Chubb, who made a critical mental error earlier in the game and allowed the Titans the opportunity to get a TD rather can kick a FG had his arms around Titans QB Will Levis but just couldn’t bring him down. He does, and the Dolphins probably win. The screen pass to RB Tyjae Spears worked to perfection, DeAndre Hopkins getting wide open for a 36 yard strike, with both Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey in the lineup. Tua slipping down after avoiding a sack. Shit happens, and I believe in momentum very much within the scope of one game. Sometimes it’s like a freight train going down hill without brakes.

I do believe the 9-4 Dolphins are legit contenders. Forget Super Bowl talk, I don’t see any team in the AFC standing on the mountain top beating their chest saying we’re the team to beat. The closest team to doing that in my opinion is the Baltimore Ravens, a very well coached, very consistent, perennial contender. Since we play the Ravens, we have a chance to see how we measure up, but before we get there, we must take care of business this Sunday against the Jets. If I’m Mike McDaniel, I have everyone ready to play on offense, and if Tyreek Hill plays, it’s just an extra weapon. It doesn’t look like the Dolphins are going to activate RB Chris Brooks for this game, but he has still has one more week beyond this one to be activated. He would need to be activated for next week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys or he’s done for the season.

A huge hurdle the Dolphins have to clear is injuries right now. OC Connor Williams is OUT for the season, and his replacement, OC Liam Eichenberg has a calf injury. OG Robert Hunt didn’t play last week with a hamstring injury and his availability is up in the air this week. LT Terron Armstead got in a limited practice so I have a feeling he suits up, and Lester Cotton will play LG. If Eichenberg can’t go Sunday, we do have another OC on the roster, Jonotthan Harrison who last played in the NFL in 2019 for the Jets, ironically. OG Robert Jones would play RG and OT Austin Jackson at RT. My guess is Eichenberg somehow suits up, but Hunt is questionable at best. S DeShon Elliott who is suffering with a concussion and ribs injury is probably going to sit out so the dynamic duo of Holland and Elliott isn’t likely. No offense to S Brandon Jones but he’s hitting our own guys more than the other guys. CB Xavien Howard suffered a hip injury in the Titans game but he, along with Holland both got in limited practices.

My biggest points I want all of you to take away this week is not to look at least week as a defining moment for our team. There are many more moments that will happen, along with many others that have happened that ALL define this team, and the season. It’s a story not yet finished, not yet written so hang in there and remember we have a good football team, and a good coach. Speaking of Coach, Mike McDaniel has to have this team ready to play Sunday and be the better coach than Rob Saleh. Our QB Tua Tagovailoa has to play a great game and make some big plays and not slip and fall or miss a bad snap or any of those negative things. He has to be the best QB on field, period.  We need AVG to be the unstoppable force on the edge, a playmaker again. Tennessee double and triple teamed Chubb last week, daring AVG to do it on his own and he was completely held in check, 4 tackles, no QB hits, no sacks, no bueno. I know we will miss Jaelan Phillips, but AVG has to be better for us to be the defense we need to be. I’m very concerned with RB De’Von Achane. Oh, he has all the talent in the world, but with such limited playing time, he has so many injuries. We need all the playmakers we can get, but this kid is not a high volume player. Mostert has been amazing, but I’m worried about him too. We know he’s hurting, he’s on the injury report every week of the season, and if Achane can’t spell him enough to keep him healthy for the playoffs, hopefully they allow either Jeff Wilson or Chris Brooks to spell him more often.

On the face of it, completely ignoring last week’s loss, we’re hobbling into this game. I think we’re the better team, but I’m not sure how much of this team is going to be available, and stay available throughout the entire game. You have to admit, the coaches have done a masterful with the offensive line, one of our favorite pin cushions. Guys have been out all season, but this is getting a little crazy. Losing Connor Williams really hurts us. Liam Eichenberg has been giving us better play at OG, but now we’re asking him to play OC, and he’s compromised with a calf injury. On defense, S DeShon Elliott being out hurts us. Xavien Howard being compromised with a hip injury hurts us. It’s not an ideal situation, but this team has to find a way. Don’t expect a double digit victory against the Jets this weekend, I’ll take a 1 point victory, because we have to win it. Once again, I don’t believe for a second that last week’s loss hurts us this week. We need to prove that by doing enough to win.

Quick Update: S DeShon Elliott and OG Robert Hunt are OUT Sunday

AMERICA’S TEAM VS. THE LEGION OF ZOOM
    Posted by Michael Garrity | Dec 19, 2023 | Dolphins News | 0

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about playing Buffalo and Baltimore for the remainder of the season, but Dallas doesn’t scare me. Sure, Dallas was embarrassed in New York and will be looking to make a statement with the Dolphins; however, this will not be a statement game for Dallas.

With all that said, the Dolphins have become a dark horse contender in the AFC. Tua Tagovailoa has proven the doubters wrong, Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill have formed a dangerous receiving duo, and the defense has been solid. But on offense, one unit has quietly become a difference-maker: the running backs. Led by the explosive Raheem Mostert and the versatile De’Von Achane, Miami’s backfield has a potent blend of power and speed that could be the key to beating the Cowboys in Week 16. We can thank our hated enemies, the Buffalo Bills, for showing us how to stop that Dallas defense; run the ball.

    Mostert’s Power Surge:

Mostert has been a revelation for the Dolphins. After years of injury issues, he’s found a new home in Miami, racking up 966 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on 4.9 yards per carry so far in 2023. His ability to break tackles and find the end zone is a nightmare for defenses, and the Cowboys’ leaky run defense (19th in the league, allowing 117.4 yards per game) could be
particularly vulnerable. Look at Week 15 when the Buffalo Bills gashed Dallas for 266 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Mostert’s downhill running style perfectly complements Tua’s quick-passing attack, providing a much-needed change of pace and keeping the Cowboys’ defense off balance.

    Achane’s Elusive Edge:

Achane is more than just a backup for Mostert. He’s a dynamic playmaker in his own right, averaging 8.5 yards per carry and showing off an impressive combination of vision and elusiveness. Achane’s shifty moves and acceleration make him a nightmare in space, especially on screen passes and jet sweeps. The Cowboys’ linebackers have struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks this season (see Josh Allen in Week 15), and Achane’s explosiveness could exploit similar mismatches. Just imagine him catching a screen pass in the flat, juking a linebacker, and racing to the end zone, lighting up the Hard Rock Stadium crowd.

    The Key: Play-Action Perfection

The key to Miami’s rushing attack is Tua’s play-action game. When defenses respect the deep threat of Waddle and Hill, it opens up running lanes for Mostert and Achane. Miami ranks seventh in the league in play-action passing yards (1,842), and Tua’s completion percentage jumps from 64.3% to 72.1% on play-action attempts. Expect the Dolphins to use play-action early and often, forcing the Cowboys to commit defenders to the pass and creating running lanes for their dynamic backfield duo.

    Learning from Buffalo

In Week 15, the Buffalo Bills showed the Dolphins how to exploit the Cowboys’ weaknesses on the ground. Here’s what they did: They established the run early and often. The Bills rushed 49 times, wearing down the Cowboys’ defense and keeping Dak Prescott off the field. They used play-action to open up running lanes. Tagovailoa’s play-action passing is lethal, and the Cowboys’ linebackers are susceptible to play fakes. They challenged the edges. The Bills found success running outside against Dallas.

I hope that the Dolphins will use a similar game plan to exploit the Cowboys’ defensive weaknesses in Week 16. They have the tools to do it, with Mostert’s power and Achane’s elusiveness combined with Tua’s efficient play-action passing. If the Dolphins can control the tempo on the ground, keep the Cowboys’ offense off the field, and limit Dak Prescott’s opportunities, they have a real shot at pulling off a statement victory. So buckle up, Dolphins fans, because this backfield is ready to launch Miami to a potential playoff run.

I am ready to be hurt again.

Nice, I thought, breakdown by Barry:

What Dolphins must do to make playoffs, win division, claim No. 1 or No. 2 seed and more
    Barry Jackson
    Mon, December 18, 2023 at 10:14 AM EST·

With three weeks remaining in the regular season, the Dolphins continue to have a wide range of possible outcomes – anywhere from claiming the No. 1 seed in the AFC to missing the playoffs altogether.

Asking and answering eight questions on the Dolphins’ playoff picture:

    ▪ So let’s keep it simple: How do the Dolphins (10-4) hold off steamrolling Buffalo – which drubbed the Cowboys, 31-10, on Sunday – and win the AFC East?

Miami would clinch the AFC East with any collection of two Dolphins wins and two Bills losses.

But Miami shouldn’t count on Buffalo losing because the Bills will be heavy favorites in their next two games: on the road against a Chargers team missing quarterback Justin Herbert, and home against a Patriots team suffering through its worst season this century.

So the Dolphins can win the division title by either 1) beating both Dallas on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium and winning Dec. 31 at Baltimore; or 2) by winning one of the next two and hoping the Bills lose to the Chargers or Patriots or 3) by beating Buffalo when the teams meet Jan. 6 or 7 in Miami Gardens, regardless of all other outcomes.

    ▪ If the Bills win the division, can Miami still make the playoffs?

Absolutely. But the Dolphins would then open postseason on the road.

Miami can clinch a playoff spot simply by winning any one of its final three games.

    ▪ What about getting the No. 1 seed? How can Miami do that?

Baltimore’s win against Jacksonville on Sunday gave that path more clarity: There is no longer a way that the Dolphins can get the top seed without defeating the Ravens. Beating Dallas, Baltimore and Buffalo would give Miami the No. 1 seed.

If the Dolphins beat Dallas and Baltimore but lose to Buffalo, Miami would be the No. 1 seed if Baltimore loses at San Francisco or home against Pittsburgh and Kansas City loses one of its final three games (home to Las Vegas and Cincinnati and at the Chargers).

    ▪ If the Dolphins can’t get the No. 1 seed, can they at least get the No. 2 seed, which would mean home games the first two weeks of the playoffs (assuming they win the first)?

Yes, but that would require some help. If the Dolphins beat Dallas and Buffalo but lose to the Ravens –thus making Baltimore the likely top seed – the Dolphins would need a Kansas City loss to claim the No. 2 seed ahead of the Chiefs.

And the Chiefs have the easiest remaining schedule of all these teams, with the Raiders, Bengals and Chargers.

    ▪ I don’t mean to sound alarmist. But if the Dolphins lose all of their remaining games, will they still make the playoffs?

    It’s likely, but not definite.

Here’s one scenario that would leave Miami out of the playoffs altogether:

    1). The Dolphins lose every game and the Bills beat the Chargers or Patriots;

    2). Jacksonville beats Tampa Bay, visiting Carolina and Tennessee;

    3). Indianapolis beats Atlanta, the Raiders and Houston (the last two of those games at home);

    4). Cincinnati wins at the Steelers, at the Chiefs and home against Cleveland;

5). Cleveland wins at Houston and home against the Jets. (The Browns might only need to win one game because of a common-games Dolphins tiebreaker that remains unresolved.)

There are other nightmarish paths to the Dolphins missing the playoffs, but all are complicated and unlikely.

The Dolphins remain in good position because of their 7-3 conference record, which will give them a tiebreaker edge with several teams if they win one more game. (Remember, the Dolphins clinch a playoff berth with one more win.) They already have clinched a tiebreaker edge over the Bengals (3-6 in the conference) even if Miami loses every game.

    ▪ Is there any chance the Dolphins could end up playing the Bills two weeks in a row?

That’s absolutely possible. If the Bills win the AFC East, there’s a good chance Buffalo would be the No. 3 seed and play the sixth seed (or the second wild card team) in the playoffs. That could be Miami, if the Browns (9-5) remain the first wild card team and the Dolphins don’t fall behind the third and final wild card qualifier.

Keep in mind that the top wild card seed (the fifth seed) appears on pace to play at the AFC South champion (Jacksonville, Houston and Indianapolis are all tied).

If the Dolphins win the division but the Bills finish 10-7 or 11-6, there’s also a chance that Miami and Buffalo could play in South Florida on two consecutive weekends.

    ▪ You’re making my head explode. Tell me what I should root for next weekend.

1). Root for a Dolphins win against Dallas because that clinches a playoff spot for Miami.

2). Root for a Chargers win against the visiting Bills, because that would reduce the Dolphins’ AFC East magic number to one.

3). Root for the Steelers to beat the Bengals (to further reduce Cincinnati as a threat to overtake Miami in the wild card seedings if the Dolphins lose the division).

4). Root for the Texans to beat the Browns, to improve Miami’s chances of being the fifth (top wild card) seed if the Dolphins lose the division.

    5) Root for the Falcons to beat the Colts (same reason as rooting for the Texans).

6). Root for Tampa Bay to beat Jacksonville (see the previous reason).

7). Root for the Raiders to beat the Chiefs (to improve Miami’s chances of finishing with the No. 2 seed if it loses one game but wins the AFC East) and

8). Root for the 49ers to beat the visiting Ravens (to keep alive the Dolphins’ No. 1 seed chances if Miami beats Baltimore but loses another game).

    ▪ Could the Dolphins’ 1 p.m. game at Baltimore on Dec. 31 be moved to 4:25 p.m. or flexed into prime time?

That scenario is expected to be discussed by the league early this week. Because the Bengals have been winning without Joe Burrow and because of Patrick Mahomes’ popularity, the NFL has been leaning toward keeping Cincinnati-Kansas City as the CBS 4:25 p.m. game that day, instead of flipping it with Dolphins-Ravens. But that isn’t set in stone.

The NBC game on New Year’s Eve – Green Bay (6-8) vs. Minnesota (7-7) – appears in at least some peril because the Packers have fallen below .500. It’s possible but not certain that the league would move that game to the afternoon and replace it with Dolphins-Ravens or less likely, Saints-Buccaneers.

    Interesting DEFENSE recap/take…imo.

What the Dolphins defense is now accomplishing. And defensive nuggets by position
    Barry Jackson
Tue, December 19, 2023 at 12:10 PM EST·5 min read

For one glorious week against the Raiders in mid November, the Dolphins defense was fully healthy and exactly the unit that general manager Chris Grier envisioned when he put together this roster.

They haven’t been healthy since. But they have usually flourished anyway, aside from that painful late collapse against Tennessee.

Even while missing five starters against the Jets, the Dolphins permitted just 103 yards of offense, second-least in Dolphins history and the fewest relinquished since Miami allowed just 76 in an October 1973 game against Buffalo.

That sterling performance catapulted the Dolphins to fifth overall in yards allowed per game (293.4) and 14th in points allowed per game (at 21.0).

Miami yields the fourth-fewest rushing yards and 10th-fewest passing yards per game.

What’s more, the Dolphins are permitting just 3.4 yards per carry, which is tied for fourth-best in the league.

The Jets averaged just 1.9 yards per carry on Sunday (12 for 23). Those 23 rushing yards were the fewest permitted by Miami since a 2010 game at Oakland.

Miami’s 48 sacks are second most in the league, behind only Baltimore’s 50.

And though Jaelan Phillips is out for the season with a torn Achilles’, help should be on the way soon.

Jevon Holland, who has missed three games with sprained MCLs in both knees, said his knees are feeling better. DeShon Elliott is expected to exit concussion protocol this week.

Jerome Baker, who has a sprained MCL, is eligible to come off injured reserve before the finale against the Bills.

And cornerback Xavien Howard is close to a return, Mike McDaniel said.

    Some defensive notes by position:

    DEFENSIVE LINE
By bypassing a big contract extension from the Dolphins this summer, Christian Wilkins bet on himself and appears to have made the right choice.

His career-high 8.0 sacks are 22nd in the league among all players and 12th among defensive linemen.

Zach Sieler’s career-high 7.5 sacks are 26th in the league among all players.

Among defensive tackles, Wilkins and Sieler are second and third in the NFL in sacks.

Among 105 rated defensive tackles, PFF ranks Wilkins 15th against the run this season.

    OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
Bradley Chubb now ranks 17th in the league with 9.5 sacks and became the first Dolphin to have three sacks in a game since Phillips did it in November 2021.

Also, Chubb’s six forced fumbles lead the league.

And there’s this: In his past 10 games, Chubb has 50 tackles (25 solo), 8.5 sacks, 14 quarterback hits, six tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two passes defensed.

On Sunday, Chubb logged 41 snaps, Andrew Van Ginkel 51 (of a possible 58, despite playing much of the game with a broken nose), Cameron Goode 20 and Emmanuel Ogbah four before departing with a hamstring injury.

PFF rated Chubb and Van Ginkel as Miami’s first and third best players on defense on Sunday.

“He’s been playing like that all year,” Van Ginkel said of Chubb, “but the quarterbacks have been getting the ball out a split second before he gets there. He’s been playing lights out all year. It’s so great to see it’s finally paying off and all the fruits of his labor is working.”

    INSIDE LINEBACKER
Duke Riley, rated by PFF as Miami’s second best defender against the Jets, continued his good work in Baker’s absence.

He played 47 snaps, while David Long Jr. played 54. Calvin Munson played 11.

Riley was targeted three times in pass coverage, but only one was caught, for six yards.

    SAFETY
With Holland and Elliott sidelined against the Jets, Brandon Jones and Elijah Campbell were the only Dolphins to play all 58 defensive snaps.

Jones, who lost his starting job this year following last October’s ACL injury and a change in defensive coordinators, had two interceptions to triple his career total.

Jones permitted just two of three targets against him to be caught for six yards.

“It means a lot,” Jones said of his big day. “It still kind of hasn’t hit me yet. I’m just trying to take it all in. It’s been an interesting year, to say the least, for me. It hasn’t been super ideal with what I’ve necessarily wanted, but the big thing is I’ve learned is to be super grateful and appreciate everything, especially coming off of my injury.

“Any opportunity is an opportunity; that’s how I look at it. So getting this opportunity to play, not knowing what’s going to happen the rest of the season, I’m just glad I was able to make the most of my opportunity.”

Campbell also held up well in coverage, permitting only 16 yards in his coverage area (on five targets) and making an impressive pass breakup.

    CORNERBACK
With Howard sidelined, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio permitted Jalen Ramsey to shadow Jets No. 1 receiver Garrett Wilson, a decision that paid dividends.

Per Next Gen Stats, Ramsey traveled with Wilson during the first three quarters and aligned across from him on 21 of 27 routes (77.8 percent).

Wilson had four passes thrown to him, and the only one with Ramsey in coverage was incomplete. Wilson ended up catching two passes against Long (for 24 yards) and one (for five yards) against Jones, per PFF.

That was the only pass thrown against Ramsey all day. In two games against the Jets this season, Ramsey allowed just two receptions in four targets for 25 yards.

On Sunday, Ramsey and Kader Kohou (who started on the boundary opposite Ramsey) each played 57 of the 58 defensive snaps. Eli Apple served as the No. 3 cornerback and logged 44 snaps.

Kohou was targeted only once, and that pass was caught for just eight yards. Apple had a very good play in coverage on third down but allowed four of seven targets to be caught for 42 yards.

Nik Needham played 14 snaps and cornerback/safety Ethan Bonner played 11 in his NFL debut.

Both passes targeting Bonner were incomplete. Two of three passes were caught in Needham’s coverage area, for 17 yards.

That’s not ideal, with the Dallas Cowboys visiting Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday (4:25 p.m., Fox).

Left tackle Terron Armstead (knee/ankle), right tackle Austin Jackson (oblique) and right guard Robert Hunt (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday.

Why the hell did the Dolphins bring Suh in for a visit? We are not lacking interior D line. We need pass rusher / OSLB types. I hope they don’t do something stupid like bringing in Suh.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The big push we get up the middle makes it easier for those OLBers to get those sacks. Otherwise they usually end up running past the QB. When the QB can’t step up, they’re dead!

I don’t disagree with what you said. I only disagree that we need another DT at this time. ESPECIALLY not Suh who got way too many millions for nothing from this organization.

MIAMI DOLPHINS | Center Lloyd Cushenberry III: Miami may be less inclined to re-sign starting center and impending free agent Connor Williams after he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 14. Denver’s Cushenberry would make an excellent replacement. The ninth-best center by PFF’s grading system (73.2), Cushenberry has allowed just nine pressures in 519 pass-blocking snaps this season and hasn’t surrendered a sack.
    —————-
That would work if we have the money. He is looking at getting 12-15 mil per year. Might have to go the unproven rookie route.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yeah I’ve heard that too. One of the reasons McDaniel brought in Butch Barry was so Frank Smith could spend less time with the OL and more time with the entire offense.

    LOL @ Naples

In a surprise announcement today, Bill Belichick informed the media that he has traded himself to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a ham sandwich and some salary considerations. Included in the deal, the Patriots will give Jacksonville Belichick’s full salary as well.

Keep in mind that Belichick’s contract specifically gives him final say on all personnel decisions and trades.

Robert Kraft will have to appeal to the NFL and perhaps the circuit court in order to overturn the deal that Belichick made for himself.

One of my Superintendents bet me before the season that the Dolphins wouldn’t win 10 games this season. I saw him before the Titans game and said “you got that money ready” and he laughed and said they have to make it to 10 first. Then they lost. So he was in the office again today and I was busy so I didn’t think about our bet but he stuck his head in my office door and threw a crumpled up C note at me. (I lost the same bet to him last season and paid him in singles)

Anyway, I may have made a mistake. (he is a Dallas fan) as he was running away I shouted at him “SO DOUBLE OR NOTHING ON THIS WEEKENDS GAME??!??”
He stopped said “No,no I’m not….yeah you are on!” Now I have a $100 on this weeks game and that means we are going to lose, and probably miss out on the post season…

  61. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

I love me some Mike McDaniel. I haven’t seen this anywhere else, but on Bally Sports they have the Dolphins Today show. It’s on every day, but I can’t figure out how many of them they do a week because it is NEVER on again at the same time. But anyway, they are ending the episode with a highlight reel of the Jet’s game and there is a clip of Tua sitting on the bench and MM comes up on him with the tablet and says “This is exactly why you are DIFFERENT” and shows Tua on the surface a clip. But that investment by MM is a huge reason Tua is having games with 87% completion percentages.

  62. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

“Jaylen Ramsey’s passer rating allowed when targeted is a microscopic 20.2, which is best in the NFL by a pretty good margin.

Since that stat started being kept in 2018, the best mark is a 24.2 post by former Baltimore safety Earl Thomas in 2019.”

  63. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I think he’s a poor GM, and I also believe the game has changed, and he hasn’t. Would be a bad move to give him full control of any organization, and give up draft capital to do so.

  64. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:
