The regular season is upon us, as our Miami Dolphins host the Jacksonville Jaguars at Hard Rock Stadium at 1PM, Sunday September 8th. As we enter this game, there are many questions that will be answered shortly. Will Jalen Ramsey play? Will Aaron Brewer play? Jaelan Phillips will play, but how much? Will there actually be a heavy rotation on the defensive line? Which OLB’s will get the most snaps early in this 2024 season? Will the offensive line play well enough to protect our $212M QB? Will the Dolphins actually use the TE as a weapon and not an afterthought in our new offense? Which RB will get the most action, between RB Raheem Mostert, RB De’Von Achane and RB Jaylen Wright? I’ll have some answers, really just MY answers coming up!
It looks a little more likely that CB Jalen Ramsey may play, he’s supposed to be practicing today, and if he can do so successfully, he will surely be in the starting lineup. If not, he’ll have to wait until next Thursday against our division rival Buffalo Bills. It also appears that C Aaron Brewer, who has not practiced in a few weeks but logged two limited practices will be starting at C. That means Liam Eichenberg will start at RG. The O-line will be as follows – LT Terron Armstead – LG Robert Jones – C Aaron Brewer – RG Liam Eichenberg – RT Austin Jackson. On the D-line, it looks like LE Zach Siler, NT Benito Jones, and RE Calais Campbell. Behind them is Brandon Pili and Da’Shawn Hand, but I believe that DE/OLB Emmanuel Ogbah will be in the mix there as well, although he will surely log snaps at OLB as well, splitting time with Jaelan Phillips, Chop Robinson, Mo Kamara and Quinton Bell.
We were told early on there would be a heavy rotation on the D-line, which will keep players fresher, and allow better performance from all players. Last year, DE Christian Wilkins played 81% of the snaps at DE. That type of workload is supposedly out the window, and when your RDE is 38, you can believe it. The bigger question is not whether or not will have a heavy rotation, but rather will it be effective? That’s the fuzzy part, but Sunday, both in part will be revealed. We had quite a few D-linemen on our roster, and expected to carry more than 5, 6 if you count Ogbah. I could guess that quality won over quantity, but we’ll see if the so called “second wave” or “tsunami” is anywhere close to getting the job done. This will be a must watch.
I have been feeling since we acquired TE Jonnu Smith, who by the way will be listed as a FB, will be a big part of the offense. Not always the first target, but if #1 and #2 are covered, and Jonnu is open, and he should have plenty of opportunity to do just that with all the attention Hill and Waddle will be getting. Last season, TE Durham Smythe caught 35 passes. Also last season, with Atlanta, Jonnu Smith caught 50 passes, and keep in mind he was TE2 there with promising TE Kyle Pitts as the #1. One possibility that I’m well aware of is at least last season, Tua doesn’t hold onto the ball much, but just looking at the 35 receptions by Smythe, I can tell you he wasn’t the first target on the majority of those catches. Tua gets the ball out quick, many times out of necessity to avoid getting hit, but sometimes he extends plays, and I believe this season, that will increase as he has new contract, and I’m not saying he will be reckless, but I do think he’s going to try and keep plays going whereas last year he was trying to get through an entire season.
Trevor Lawrence had an uneven season, much like our own QB Tua Tagovailoa. Tua’s slide was more at the end of the season, Lawrence had a few good ones, a bad one, then a couple of good ones, but for the last games in the regular season, against the Ravens, Bucs and Titans, he was pretty awful, and I believe playing injured as well. This year, however, the Jaguars definitely improved the skill positions. The Jags drafted WR Brian Thomas from LSU. They also picked up WR Gabe Davis formerly of the Buffalo Bills. Christian Kirk is healthy now, after missing the last 5 regular season games and their playoff game. Kirk is a big part of their offense, and with Gabe Davis, and Brian Thomas, they’re more formidable. RB Travis Etienne is a solid back who rushed for over 1000 yards and had 11 rushing TD’s. The Jags also picked up former Bills OC Mitch Morse to solidify the O-line.
On defense, it starts with DE Josh Hines-Allen, who set a Jacksonville Jaguars record with 17.5 sacks last season, eclipsing the former record held by none other than our RDE Calais Campbell (14.5). The Jags picked up veteran DL Arik Armstead in FA from the 49ers. He’s a very disruptive lineman in his own right. MLB Foyesade Oluokun had 173 tackles and 111 of them were solo. In the secondary, the Jags added veteran CB Ronald Darby and he will start at LCB oppositeTyson Campbell. Darby started only 7 games for the Ravens last season while Campbell started 11. Antonio Johnson and Andre Cisco are the safeties. The secondary is the weakest part of the Jags defense, but their defense is great at getting pressure, so we’ll see how that affects our run:pass ratio.
We tend to start out the season pretty strong under MM, last year it was an impressive comeback victory in LA over the Chargers, 36-34. We’re home, and we tend to play better here, but the Jaguars, also a Florida team, won’t succumb to the heat like some other teams might. There are also a lot of questions about personnel, due to the myriad of injuries we have. If you told me before the season that C Aaron Brewer who started every game the last 2 seasons might not play Week 1, but OLB Jaelan Phillips will be playing, I’d call you crazy! As it turns out, they’ll both probably play, but you get my point. We need to start strong again, our schedule, at least at the moment is more favorable early on, home for the Jaguars, home for the Bills, at Seattle, home again for the Titans with whom we have a score to settle. Then we travel to Foxborough to take on the Pats, then our BYE week. We then go to Indy to face the Colts and back home for The Fest game against the Arizona Cardinals. We stay on left coast to face the LA Rams, and then back home for two, to face the LV Raiders and then the Patriots again. Here’s where the screw turns, at Green Bay Thanksgiving eve in what should be a frigid night. At home to face the NY Jets for the first time of the season. Then off to Texas to play the Houston Texans. We then host the 49ers, and the final two games on the road at Cleveland, and then the season finale in New Jersey to face the Jets.
As Rock points out, every game counts, and that’s 100% correct. The problem is, we seem to fall off of a cliff at the end of the season after climbing said cliff during the beginning and middle. The objective is to stay on the damn mountain! We can’t have half the team injured and we need our best players, especially the ones now receiving massive contracts to play well in ALL games, even if they occur at the end of the season as the schedule dictates! LOL! Anyway, that’s why I feel we need to start strong, but any combination of 11 or 12 wins for us will be totally acceptable to me, I’m easy!
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

LOVE the 2nd half shutout.
I think Chop learned a lot.
I thought Ogbah had a good game. Glad we signed him back.
He was tough in the second half.
we clobbered them in time of possession in the 4th qtr that’s how we won. Strong Defense.
That Raiders DL sure isn’t stopping the Chargers run game.
We got a lot of work to do. OL, running game and secondary for starters. But maybe it was more that Tua just had an off game — him being on changes everything as he showed at times in the 2nd half.
That’s the key Stanger, when they click you can forget about it. Jax Defense is good so I have a hard time with any solid conclusions. I think we held some things back especially Jonnu as packages for Buff. Who knows but I felt confident in our guys all day despite going down. Tua missed a lot of passes he ordinarily doesn’t it could have been a whole different game.
Waddle comes away with a buck seven and you feel like you hardly saw him. Achane in the words of Get Smart “missed it by that much “ almost every time he gets it.
The best thing is we won the game.
The offense looked very out of sync for much of the game. But they started to run the ball when they had to, loved the Fullback dives. Then made some big plays in the passing game.
The defense was solid most of the day but played great down the stretch.
Thanks for calling timeout on the FG, Doug. 🙂
I still can’t think of the fullback that did that every time just a few years ago. Was it Pollard? That’s the same play he ran.
I think we break out the Tanner Conner package for Buffalo. lol
Right. Him too
Son, the fun thing about watching Achane is he will catch the ball in a huge crowd, and you think he might pick up about 5 yards, next thing you know he is squirting out the back end and picking up 20-30 yards
I think every new wrinkle in the offense is for Buff we looked somewhat vanilla today.
I hope the Police arrest Tyreek again on Thursday night
Without the face plant this time.
Everyone knows Tyreek isn’t a Saint but this particular incident doesn’t look good for Miami-Dade PD so far.
I still go back to Assholes it’s the home team guy damn.
A lot of players on offense barely played in the PS and it showed. Good thing we have explosive players that can help win a game like this. Game ball goes to the defense in this one.
⛄️
Big play for sure but Entienne should never have allowed that to happen.
Yeah, that guy
meaning Holland
A stern talking to,
” I don’t care who you are you can’t do that on these streets it’s dangerous and you put people in harms way if you lost control. Now I know opening day brings on excitement but please save that for the field today would you please Mr Hill.
Was it a Lamborghini?
Looked like it
That or a Ferrari
So far this week Tua leads all passers with 338 yards. Only QB with 300 yards this week. 2 games to go
Thought Mayfield was going to come close but it’s kneel down time for the Bucs
He is at 289
Baker had 4 TD’s and close on yardage. Good start for Bucs.
Offense looked awful but it’s first game. At least the guys we paid but up the yards, but offense seemed allergic to the endzone. Lots of supposedly good teams lost today so a win is a win. Jax had a commanding lead, so it was good to see the defense do what they were supposed to, at least. We won’t win next week looking like this though. We’ll get blown out….again.
Mahomes had 291 on Thursday
it’s never one guy, but Tua balled…
Somehow we were able to rush at the end of the gane
Son,
Lousaka Polite
Yes oh thank you
I was talking about him today during the game. 😂
Me too except for knowing his name lol
Tua and the entire team were just off the whole 1st half. We made so many mistakes and kept hurting ourselves, then we got it cleaned up the 2nd half.
Defense only gave up one drive in the 2nd half, and they still got the TO at the end with the game changing/saving play by Holland.
Happy to escape with the win. Play better.
Was real nice to see the running game become effective in the 4th quarter, especially on the game winning drive. Hopefully we can get the run game going earlier against Buffalo.
Was it just me or did Mostert look a little sluggish? The oline didn’t give him any help, but he just seemed a bit slow to me as well.
‘Reek is going to be able to sue the pants off the police.
NOT saying that ‘Reek is a model citizen or anything, but WOW… the police have a real problem on their hands with this one.
It looks that way so far. When you cuff Calais… I don’t know what to tell ya. Not a good situation
My first thought was, if it was Tua, I’d definitely think it was the cop’s fault, but it’s Tyreek, so he was probably an idiot. To hear they also put Calais in cuffs paints a potentially different picture. But we’re getting things piecemeal, so we won’t know till it all comes out.
I agree that we don’t know much and I’m sure Tyreek ran his mouth some but the situation didn’t seem to warrant using handcuffs at least to me so far.
@schadjoe
The only Miami Dolphins injury reported today in the press box: LB David Long (hand)
Anyone watch the Denver Seattle game? You want to talk about a mistake filled game…
Was SO happy for Phillips.

Mostert got HAMMERED on his very first carry of the game. He didn’t quite look right after.
Ah, didn’t realize that
Does today’s win count?
Bigger than shit
the Bengals loss counts too 👍
What Tua Tagovailoa Said at Halftime To Spur Miami Dolphins’ Second-Half Comeback (profootballnetwork.com)
Today’s game was the 1st time since the 2022 season that JAX lost a game they were leading at the half.
We did what Norte Dame didn’t do. You can’t lose that game. At home against a team you’re supposed to beat.
Eric Kendricks was balling for the Cowboys today, 9 tackles, 2 sacks and an INT
Not bad for a cheap free agent signing.
Carrie Underwood is hot but that strat was a prop
I expect us to be sharper this Thursday.
Phillips looked good. He’s not easy to block on the edge. Great to see him back.
Bailey was good today. The’ announcers didn’t appear to pick up on it, but on the Sanders miss, he had a sort of slip/hop skip on his plant foot. I’m still nervous every time he kicks the ball, but he hit the big one.
I’ll tell you though, MM really blew it not getting another play off before the game winning kick. We wasted a down and missed a chance to make that kick easier.
Not an overly impressive game but we won a potentially important AFC game. Build on it. Big early game Thursday night.
mmm I still like Melissa Stark.
Reason I asked, if this game counts is, because I assume Jax will have a winning record
@schadjoe
“He’s a force to be reckoned with.” – Miami Dolphins’ Jaelan Phillips on Calais Campbell
both of them
we weren’t the same in 1st half, when Calais wasn’t on the field, wonder how many snaps he got
the way we prodded thru TC/PS, while the Jags took it seriously, this game had the making of a trap game
Agree
one thing that I saw this week with predictions was anything over 19 pts seemed to be a tad high, and even pissed me off
I predicted 17 for Jags
when it was 17-7 I almost posted, just need 20 more for Fins🤪
Kong,
I think Jax will surprise people this year and this win will be very important for us to get back in.
In other thoughts, R Wilson is a puss and very lucky that Fields is his main competition, or he probably wouldn’t have a chance to get back in the driver’s seat. Since it’s the Steelers, I hope they keep both for another 5 years.
I have a couple friends that are Steelers fans who were so excited about Wilson being their savior this year. We were cracking up to see he missed the opening day start.
Jax is a solid team, should compete for a WC, and maybe even give the Texans a run for the division.
Wilson looked done last year
26-8 tds to int 3070 yards, not a lot, but not terrible on a bad team
I watched a few of their games. It was a lot of garbage stats. His play was not as good as those numbers sound
I think the same Ken. I think he’s going to be injured a lot this year to spread the narrative that it’s just injury instead of Father Time. Losing his elusiveness really finished him off.
Weaver made some big time adjustments at the half. I hope our offense can click Thursday night. We have a brutal finish to the season and can’t afford to drop our first divisional game.
LOL
@PaulHembo
As a reminder, Deshaun Watson carries a $72.9 million cap hit in 2025 AND 2026. It’s the worst contract ever.
@WillBrinson
We might be 1.5 weeks away from a mysterious Deshaun Watson “arm soreness” injury that’s basically just him acknowledging his contract is fully guaranteed and he doesn’t really feel like playing football
he didn’t look like he felt like playing today
Just desserts. Cleveland thought to reward a scumbag, and it really blew up in their face. I hope those women got PAID and I also hope he’s broke by 50.
Josh Allen got banged up today
hand injury to non-throwing hand
That lions player is an idiot. If he turned it upfield he might have got the 1st. He didn’t need to get out of bounds
And now they have to kick the fg to tie instead of having two more shots, smh.
Achane is electric. If he has the space to make any kind of a move, he ALWAYS makes at least one guy miss.
It’s just the beginning for him.
When you escape with a win in a game you didn’t play particularly well into the 3rd quarter you take it and move on.
Still haven’t watched the game, but thrilled we took this one! Glad we showed some moxie and grabbed the W
Who won the baseball game yesterday? 🙂
🤪
Unfortunately, not the Mets. Still a beautiful day at the ballpark! 10 in a row is pretty difficult
when you’re a good team, these types of wins aren’t called ugly wins
here’s what they said about Buffalo’s ugly win:
And when the four-time defending AFC East champions needed their franchise player the most after falling behind by 14 points in their season opener against Arizona on Sunday, Allen delivered by taking matters into his own hands — and leaping legs.
stop being losers Fins Fans and beat reporters
The entire starting OL played 100% of 71 offensive snaps. That hasn’t happened in a while.
In fact, the only active offensive players to not play a snap were the 3 backup OL. Each of Paul, Lamm and Cotton did play 5 ST snaps.
So much for the DL waves:
Seiler played 46 of 53 snaps on defense
Ogbah 40 of 53
Campbell 35 of 53
Hand 19 of 53
Benito Jones 8 of 53
Pili 5 of 53
it’s game 1 and we were behind, there’s no set number of snaps for healthy players, sometimes for age, but it’s subject to change
I like the fact that Calais was able to play that many
You can tell, that dude just loves football. He’s amazing!
LB’s Long and Brooks, CB Fuller and Safeties Poyer and Holland played 100% of defensive snaps.
Ramsey actually played 41 of 53
Phillips 34 of 53
LB’s Riley and Walker, CB Neal and Safety Campbell were the only active defensive players to not play a snap but all played ST’s.
We’ll need some fresh legs with the quick turnaround Thursday, so expect to see everyone play
We might see an extra DB active and only 1 NT based on the snap counts from yesterday.
when some players are playing at a high level, it’s tough to take them out
Only 51 plays on D keeps em fresh, that played into it too
Josh Allen is a different animal, expect longer drives, so more evenly matched snap counts
Didn’t see them out there but WR Dubose played 13 snaps and WR Chosen played 12 snaps.
Jullian Hill played the most TE snaps at 42 of 71.
Dubose was there to block
it’s great to have Hill out there that much, keeps our playmakers from taking unnecessary hits
53 vs 71 I like it
Jonnu to be unleashed on Thursday
And this Snap Count Summary was brought to you by Matt M Bail Bonds, the largest bonding company on the Florida panhandle.
You may never need us, but you might know someone who will! 😉
nah, I left those shady characters back in NV and CA
although the Jimmy next door…
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was driving his Mclaren 720
@greggrosenthal
The Dolphins had two tailbacks on the field on 52.3% of their snaps per @NextGenStats. No other team was over 33%. What is old always becomes new again.
———
I’m sure that included the FB with a RB
maybe, but not what it says
I think Achane was used a lot as a WR

Reply
No, it doesn’t count because they did not have a winning record when we played them. LOL
I was expecting a wise guy🤔
It was great seeing Achane move all over the place like a weapon. I’m not sure, but I think he ran more routes than he did carrying the ball.
sounds right, which I like, now get Wright in the game
Berrios and Smythe were atrocious, someone had to pick up the slack
our run game was all over the place and helped contribute to the slow start, as the game wore on there were some bright spots like Ingold, Wilson
Everybody has bad apples in every situation
Yes, Tyreek and you are our bad apple
the explanation given, was a verbal altercation and Tyreek wasn’t cooperative
I don’t understand what happened, you thought you were above the law, instead of acting civil you ran your mouth
what if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill…you were treated like an ordinary idiot driving too fast amidst heavy traffic, then you ran your mouth and escalated it
I agree this was over blown, but you can be taken in for reckless driving, probably shouldn’t be a dick and play the victim
Tyreek weighing his legal options. Your only options are pleading guilty, inocent…but you have no grounds for a lawsuit
This entire post if wrong. This wasn’t about Tyreek resisting. This was about a cops tiny little dick and his feelings about having a tiny little dick his whole life.
the biggest play of the game was the Holland forced fumble, but it hasn’t always been so rosy in this category, I’m sure you all remember Sammy Smith🤪 fumbling twice around the goal line in a 1980s opener
yup the Holland forced fumble was the biggest play of the game
the in game adjustments were very effective, and lots of players played a role, 2 huge plays and a lot of great individual efforts Ramsey on 4th down stop, Ingold rushing in short yardage, Achane receiving, Calais, 2nd half D overall…
The point I’m trying to make is, this team doesn’t have to depend on 1 great player, like a Josh Allen, to win it wins as a team, gone are the days when we had to play a near perfect game to beat a good team
Find a way to win no matter the circumstance, the mark of a great team
someone was throwing around some big money on the Dolphins this weekend. The one bet moved the line a whole point!!
302,000: Largest reported bet on Sunday at Caesars Sportsbook
This bet was on the Dolphins -2.5 over the Jaguars. The bettor bought the point spread down from 3.5 to 2.5 at a price of -151, which was a savvy move as it turns out. The Dolphins won 20-17. According to Caesars, the same bettor placed a $178,000 money-line bet on the Dolphins at -178 odds and netted a $300,000 profit on the two wagers.
Wow! Ballsy! Fixed?
Wow, three of the top rated Dolphins players by PFF on offense this Sunday were on the Oline!
Our Defensive players didn’t rank so high
These are the HIGHEST ratings this weekend on the D
Here were the lowest rated players on the team this Sunday
So, according to the police union, Tyreek was handcuffed and thrown down on his face for officer safety…
The officer was put on administrative duty.
That is why the union is involved. The statement that the police union put out supporting the actions of the officers is not shocking, of course they will defend the officer. That is what the union if for.
I was just saying what I read. Not right or wrong.
It is true that cuffing a suspect and having them lie on their stomach is for officer safety as it effectively immobilizes the suspect. I doubt Tyreek was thrown down but ordered to lie down and then was cuffed as is typical practice. The bigger question is why did the officer feel it was necessary to do this
There is a video of one of the cops kicking Tyreek in the legs while he is standing. Saw it on twitter.
Maybe. But that doesn’t mean he was thrown face down while cuffed. If he was he would’ve broken his nose and likely not been able to play. More likely he was ordered to lay down and cuffed or was cuffed and then placed down. I am not justifying what the police did. I am just explaining the tactics used. The tactic/force may well have been excessive under all circumstances but I don’t know all the circumstances
I was listening to WQAM this morning, they mentioned ILB Jordyn Brooks had ZERO tackles
He had 4 tackles with 1 solo
Long played well. Brooks not so much
I am happy the D was able to hold Jax to 139 yards passing, but the 128 yards rushing they gave up was concerning.
it’s week 1, with very little tackling in camp, let’s not Omar react and start projecting out the small sample size over a season
DID YOU GUYS SEE OUR FULLBACK!?? I love having a fullback!
The Dolphins gave 37 offensive snaps to De’Von Achane (who lined up at receiver on 15 of those plays, per Pro Football Focus), 31 to Raheem Mostert and 11 to Jeff Wilson Jr.
(15 at WR) as expected and why I said we don’t need 5 WRs to start the season
when Dubose was claimed it was pointed out it was for Cracraft’s role of blocking WR
The Dolphins used three safeties on only three plays, with Marcus Maye on the field for only those three plays
https://x.com/i/status/1832794861910528040
Was this necessary?
Tyreek has a mouth on him, needs to learn when to keep it shut
Honestly I can’t determine anything from that clip. But in response to what Steve said Tyreek’s mouth is not the issue. You restrain when you are placing them in custody, when they present a safety risk to themselves or others in the immediate area and or they are a flight risk. You do not restrain someone because they run their mouth
According to the Police Union, it was because he was not “immediately cooperative.” Wouldn’t that be a standard to test in court?
I’ve seen hundreds of these videos, the mouth is always what gets you cuffed, whether it’s the issue or not is another topic, but when you’re unruly and not obeying their command the cuffs are going on, and knowing Tyreek…
they don’t put cooperating, calm individuals on the ground, and in cuffs for no reason
this game had tge feel of a PS game in that we were pretty vanilla with tge calls on both sides of the ball
It is amazing that we did not hold a lead for ANY amount of time yesterday. We scored with no time left so we trailed, technically, the entire game.
“That game we don’t win the last two years” – Mike McDonald
https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/2024/09/09/dolphins-mike-mcdaniel-adversity/
we won some like that, 2 years ago vs Balt, the next week Buffalo, last year vs Chargers
Every time Jeff Wilson gets some carries, don’t you wonder why he doesn’t get more? Last thing he is is slow.
He’s contractually obligated to get injured if he has more than 5 carries in a game.
I wouldn’t mind playing that toy till it breaks. He’s got the size and the speed.
He runs north and south with power and speed. It’d be nice to see him consistently be that 4th quarter hammer.
I hope our offense is a little less Gase-y against the Bills.
yikes
I hope Jax wins the next 5 games straight. As a matter of fact, I hope each of our opponents goes on a winning streak after losing to us! F that SOS!
so you waBills to be 6-1🤮
Except the Bills and Pets
Tua leading the league in passing yardage and the Dolphins currently the #2 seed…too soon? 😂
Way too soon — but sure does look like we have the best WR tandem in the league.
I agree, the problem is they’re too similar, sometimes we could use a big high point, tough guy WR
Then we should develop one of those. Not like Tyreek and Waddle are out there together every play. As many deep routes as they run — need more breathers than most wideouts.
often what happens to a come from behind QB
at some point I expect to see Jonnu break out, it should be this week
The two holding calls we had that brought back good runs were really BS. They were both well behind the play and the Hill one was marginal. How you gonna call a marginal holding penalty away from the play.
The one on, I think it was Jackson, was like 5 yards behind the play
EVERYBODY is wondering why ‘Reek was handcuffed and placed face down on the pavement for a mere traffic violation. If he mouthed off (which he probably did, knowing him), that still doesn’t warrant the ‘cuffs and visit to the ground.
The NFLPA is looking into it, his agent Rosenhaus is looking into it, and as previously mentioned, the police have already placed one of their own on administrative leave.
This isn’t going away any time soon.
As of right now, I think ‘Reek has nothing to worry about in terms of a suspension from NFL. It looks more like the police went over the top.
We’ll see what happens… ‘Reek’s track record is the only thing that has me concerned as it applies to our Dolphins season.
They are doing an investigation. We’ll see what happens with that. After it is over the bodycam vid will be released. Will be up to Tyreek whether to sue or not after that.
EXACTLY!
By the way, it’s good to see ya here, Stanger! 🙂
Good to see you M13. And I agree….. what could he get suspended for in this one? He was only cited for a seat belt violation and a glorified traffic violation.
reckless driving is now a glorified traffic violation?
Glorified as more than a normal speeding ticket. Just don’t see why anyone would get suspended over that. There was no accident.
Careless driving, not reckless. Huge difference.
I don’t even know what “careless driving” is in a legal sense.
People were wondering what kind car Tyreek was driving. And yeah it is a bit fast.
“the wheels were a McLaren 720S. It’s unclear whether the 30-year-old wide receiver owns or was renting this beauty, which can run about $350,000.”
Pretty sure he owns it, but I don’t know that as a fact. The real question: can ‘Reek outrun the McLaren in a 40-time?!! LOL 😉
And the answer is an OBVIOUS no!
McDaniel trusts Jeff Wilson Jr., he knows what he’s getting.
^
I’m happy Wilson is still with us.
I honestly believe we have the best and deepest RB room in the NFL with Mostert, Achane, Wilson, and Wright.
It’s up there.
Steve’s in here straight boot licking.
The unsaid message from Miami’s franchise quarterback was clear: It’s time to “pay up” for a defensive centerpiece who’d just saved the Dolphins in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL regular season.
yes Tua, you should pay up, your shitty first half play and horrible 3rd qtr sack is why Jevon had to make the play
I thought the entire offense looked out of sync. The blocking schemes in the run game looked slow and the timing on pass plays and route depth looked off on all involved. Tua had time to throw outside of 2 seconds multiple times, couldn’t find anyone and had to scramble out and try to find something but it wasn’t there. He was off on a bunch of throws and receivers also dropped some catchable balls.
The offense isn’t going to be happy watching “the tape”. They know they have to get better for Thursday night.
there’s a thing called unwritten rules and it ain’t just for baseball
Im sure you haven’t been a jackass and mouthed off to a cop pulling you over, because that’s not how responsible law abiding citizens act, it’s for those entitled people, those Karen’s out there
you are making an assumption. And you know what they say about when you assume.
Everyone will know if he mouthed off when they release the body cam footage.

witnessed a traffic accident today, 2 different laws depending on the coast
In CA you’re allowed to be in the intersection waiting to turn left, in FL you can’t
the guy turning left was in the intersection while the light was green, once it turned red he turned left, the on coming car ran the light, both cited for running the light
This was news to me, but that’s what the cop said

I’ve seen hundreds of these videos, the mouth is always what gets you cuffed, whether it’s the issue or not is another topic, but when you’re unruly and not obeying their command the cuffs are going on, and knowing Tyreek…
——————-
Running ones mouth is not a valid reason to restrain someone. Does it happen? Yes. Is it proper? No. This is one of the reasons why I have a job
Did Reek retain you?
Not yet
Typically I would represent the police department but I have not done this line of work for a few years
At least by some reports it all started with Tyreek lowering his windolw and using the “just give me the ticket” move. My god brother is a cop in the town I grew up. He says when people do that “it’s time to do a safety inspection.” Never mentioned handcuffs and flat on the ground though.
Definitely a dumb move on his part but should not result in what happened. The police are the ones trained in deescalation and not the other way around
and that “safety inspection is an immoral and illegal flex of power the cop does not have.
You may be right. Wasn’t saying was copecetic, just relating what was told to me by a pretty good guy.
Wow, just heard this on the replay. The game winning fg was the first points the Jags have given up in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter in 29 games.
All Things Must Pass 😉
Aaron Brewer was really good yesterday
Cower in the post game recap talking about JAX going for it on 4th down in their own territory says “give your defense a chance, you know they’ve been playing pretty solid all year long” lol
it was a really bad call by Pederson and he is really lucky we didn’t do anything with it
Really dumb call, especially since the Jags defense has been playing well all year long 😂
I’ve never seen a HC give away a chance to tie it up in the 2nd half
I didn’t see every play of the game was socializing. I didn’t see Chop.
I recall seeing him for 1 play where he was called for offsides
the only play I saw him on was on the fumble in special teams – he was in on the tackle
Took me a minute to figure that first sentence out, lol.
😂
Jeff Wilson was also very good late in the game
I had some concerns about our RB room even though we have incredible speed
my concern was running between the tackles
but Ingold and Wilson were both productive
I hope we keep using Ingold like that all season
the entire league was rusty this week
I guess with the 17 game season people are playing less and less of their starters in the preseason
Tua was the only QB to pass for 300+ yards this week
I thought the same. I think it is the shortened preseason and the reluctance to play the starters any length of time in preseason
I think it’s pretty clear the practice rules along with teams deciding against playing starters significant time in PS games really impacts the quality of the play in the first week or two.
they used Achane a lot in the slot yesterday
he was actually targeted 7 times in the game yesterday and had 75 receiving yards
I think they are really serious about using him as a WR
maybe that’s the route to go
