2024 Season – BYE Week

Week 6, the one and only week of the season where the Dolphins are guaranteed not to lose. The Dolphins are 2-3, in a division where the AFC East Crown is very much in play. In no way am I saying that we’re one of the teams in the hunt, because if you’ve watched all 5 games this season, you’d be able to deduce that we’re more likely to end up with a great draft position than we are of actually competing for a division crown. The Dolphins have not only screwed up the starting QB position, but they have done so for the backup role as well. Now part of that falls on Head Coach Mike McDaniel for not having backup Skylar Thompson fully prepared. I would like to think that both he and Chris Grier collectively made the decision to let QB Mike White go and keep Skylar Thompson as the backup. I would also like to think they did this, with full awareness that #1, QB Tua Tagovailoa is about as reliable to be on the field as a Fiat automobile is to be on the road. We all saw it, Skylar Thompson looked like he got pulled off his couch and had no previous knowledge of this offense, or chemistry with any of the players. That’s a huge black eye on this organization that if Skylar Thompson is healthy, that we once again start QB Tyler Huntley, who’s tenure here in Miami is all of 3 1/2 weeks ago.

The fact that this team has won 2 NFL football games is somewhat shocking. We played so poorly in the season opener against Jacksonville, with QB Tua Tagovailoa as the starter. He threw for a bunch of a yards (338), but only 1 TD, to Tyreek Hill who beat the coverage and Tua dropped it in nicely allowing Hill to run away from the defenders. We won by a FG with time expiring, and as it is, this was the only game of the season where we scored at least 20 points. Tua played nearly 3 quarters against the Bills and had 1 TD, 3 INT’s. In Tua’s 1 3/4 games, he had a rating of 78.9. Wanna see something really scary? Skylar Thompson rating is 78.7. Just digest that for a moment. For those of you fans that think Tua is going to lead this team to an epic championship run when he returns in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals, his likely return date, think again. This offense was not right when Tua was playing, practicing, in sync with all his receivers, or at the very least, Hill, Waddle, Smith, Achane etc. If you add in how poorly Tua played in the final 4 games of the 2023 season, I’m not sure how you think he’s going to be better playing now in 20 layers of bubble wrap, actively avoiding hits of any type, probably throwing balls away quicker than necessary to just make sure he doesn’t get hit, and taking into consideration his poor play is just a continuation from the end of last year.

I know many Dolphins want to think of Tua as “him”. Some also want to think of Head Coach Mike McDaniel as “him”. Right about now I’d say were 0 for 2. If you watched any of the games since Tua has been out, it’s painfully obvious that Mike McDaniel didn’t try to simplify the offense, or alter it to suit who the QB was that was at the helm during that game. So many motion mistakes, complicated play call verbiage leading to delays getting to the line, 3 players in motion at the same time and just multitudes of confusion. That is definitely on the HC, and offensive coordinator, and both of those are Mike McDaniel. As for Tua, he’s going to likely play the rest of his career, whether that’s 2 quarters, 2 games, or 2 seasons, oh so carefully. I have pointed out that this does not lead to success for this team. There will always be plays left out on the field because of throw aways, or the QB just ducking down and assuming the fetal position to avoid getting trampled upon. This is a physical contact sport, one in which avoiding contact altogether is nearly impossible, but that’s what Tua is going to be coached to do.

Back to the argument of all games count the same. As you all know, I’m a huge NY Mets fan. The NY Mets were 24-34 on June 1st, 2024. They went 65-40 the rest of the way to finish 89-74. Even more than that, in a crucial 2 game series against division rivals Atlanta Braves, in Atlanta, the Mets won a must win thriller that pushed them into a Wild Card playoff series against the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee. The Mets dispensed with the Brewers in a best of 3 series in 3 games, winning the series 2-1. Then they took on the NL East champion Philadelphia Phillies and took that series, a best of 5 series in 4 games, winning 3-1. No matter what happens the rest of the way, the Mets had a fabulous season, playing their best baseball at the end of the season, not at the beginning. No one cares that they started out so poorly, or that they were 10 games under .500 in June. Can’t we, Miami Dolphins have a battle tested squad ready to rumble at the end of season? For once, I’d love to see the Dolphins have a chance at a playoff spot, or a division crown in the month of December and see us roll through every team on the schedule and get in, rather than fold under pressure in December. Part of that is Mike McDaniel who fails to make adjustments when teams take away our most potent weapons. We thought bringing in TE Jonnu Smith would cure that, he’d be the outlet, but Smith is hardly on the field. Tyreek Hill has had an enormous drop off from last season, it’s insane. In 2023 after 5 games, Tyreek Hill had 37 receptions for 651 yards and 5 TD’s. In 2024 Hill has 23 receptions for 286 yards and 1 TD. Jaylen Waddle has a slow start in ’23, and it’s been more of the same in ’24. TE Jonnu Smith has 14 catches for 140 yards, but he had 6 in one game and 5 last week, and otherwise was barely used.

It’s still up in the air as to who starts next week, they still have time to sort that out. I do think it’s an indictment on Grier and McDaniel if Tyler Huntley starts over a healthy Skylar Thompson. The QB you drafted and kept on the roster as your backup, one that has been working and digesting this offense since he got here in 2022, can’t beat a guy picked up off a practice squad and will have been here a month? Not a good look. There are so many disappointing aspects about this team. 38 year old DE Calais Campbell may be our best player on our defense, and he’s playing 55% of the snaps on D. The problem is, Calais Campbell is hanging up his cleats next season. We have so many one year contracts, and I’m not picking on you Tim, but you always say why worry about the future? This shitshow of a season is why we worry, and if it were up to me, I’d trade Tyreek Hill for some valuable picks, because we’re going to need them. I hope Chris Grier does that, and sets up the next GM very well for next year’s draft, because we need to hit on a QB, and a few guys to protect that QB.

Now, is there a chance that QB Tua Tagovailoa comes back and is the savior of our season? Of course there is, I mean the Jets fired HC Robert Saleh, and Josh Allen got rocked last week, talk about head hitting the turf, wow! The Patriots are awful, I mean, hey, we beat them. The problem is, we haven’t really resembled an NFL team most of this season, we make dumb mistakes in every facet of the team, mostly offense and special teams. Yes, ST’s Coordinator Danny Crossman is still here! Wer may be able to steal the division with 9 wins. Now 9 wins at this juncture looks like climbing the Empire State Building wearing no shoes or gloves, and hands and feet lubed up with vaseline, but you never know. Oh, thank goodness for those NY Mets. I wish them success and hope they vanquish the favored LA Dodgers to play in the 2024 World Series, but they have given me so much joy I didn’t really expect. Can the Dolphins do that for us, missing out on winning a playoff game since the year 2000, so going on 24 years? Probably not, but if not, we have to hope we can secure a QB in next year’s draft because you can’t go another season relying on QB Tua Tagovailoa. It’s not fair to the fans, the players on the team, anyone. It’s not his fault he can’t take a hit, no more than it was “Crystal Chandelier” QB Chris Chandler’s fault.. It’s our fault for giving him a massive contract though, and one I begged us not to do. I hoped the image above was a final kiss goodbye, but QB Tua Tagovailoa wants to play. Maybe somehow this will be the feel good story of the season, that QB Tua Tagovailoa comes back against all odds, stays healthy and leads us to the Super Bowl and wins it all. Ah, we can only hope . . .

    First!

  2. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    Mike E,

Good write and I completely agree that we need to prepare for life without Tua. It’s not a matter of IF he gets another concussion(s), it’s a matter of WHEN.

  3. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

IMO, we should have been able to rely on our running game to get us wins without stellar QB play. I mean, our stable of RBs is still the best in the NFL if ya ask me. Problem? We neglected the O-Line, AGAIN.

Sure, we drafted Patrick Paul in the 2nd round and he looks to become a BEAST once unleashed. But we didn’t upgrade the O-Line… we drafted him to replace T-Stead, our elderly, oft-injured BEAST who only plays half a season while getting PAID.

We’ve taken major steps back at all 3 IOL positions and it shows in our running game production (minus last game against the abysmal Patsies*). Now granted, we don’t have a deep ball without Tua playing, so Defenses can stack the box against our run. I would have felt a whole better knowing we could rely on a legit IOL to pave the way for our running game.

  4. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Mike, the reason I say I’m not concerned with the future is because we spent over two decades doing that. Building a team over and over, having lots of cap space and getting mediocre or sub par results.

That said, my mindset these days is more about now and living the moment. I’ve seen so many people in my life and around my age pass away that the present has become prominent.

A shout out to the Mets for present sports joy! 🙂

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I get it Tim, but at the moment, our team is dreadful, and because we have been short sighted building this team, putting way too many eggs in the Tua basket. So now we have to watch as the plan crumbles to dust, and how we remedy the situation, not for this season, but for next year and beyond. Is Grier going to be our GM next season and is MM our Head Coach? Lots of problems to address

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I expect Tua to return and he is our only chance to salvage the season and possibly make the playoffs.

I have no idea about Grier and McDaniel but they just extended his contract. You don’t make extreme decisions because your QB got hurt. I know it sucks but that’s where we are.

  5. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Tim – but you do if there were 1000 neon warning signs telling you not to invest everything in a QB with a long list of injuries and a serious concussion problem. It’s not like they didn’t know this and yet they went ahead and did it anyway. Not only did they invest in Tua, we have so many one year contracts, a pro bowl safety who doesn’t have a contract and we’ll probably lose after this season. Too many issues to address with not enough picks or money to fix it

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We already know all that. This season is off to a shit start. It’s not the first time I’ve experienced this with sports. Another team we root for was 22-33 at one point and now they’re waiting for their opponent in the NLCS. 🤪

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

While the Mets story is true, this was supposed to be a down year for the team while we loaded up in ’25. The Mets are in great shape in ’25, no salary cap, we can re-sign pitchers like Manaea, Severino and we can bring in another excellent pitcher if we want to spend. We could either re-sign Alonso or make a huge play for Soto. I think we should re-sign Iglesias, Winker and possibly J.D. Martinez too. We can do all those things because there’s no cap, and Steve Cohen is willing to spend. The Dolphins on the other hand are fucked!

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Actually, Manaea is on the roster next season, even better.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’m just talking about 22-33 vs. 2-3. Not emotions.

  7. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I wonder if we’re going to trade for Trey Lance. What I mean is perhaps Coach McD thinks he can save Lance’s career ala Tua, plus Lance should cost no more than a mid-late day 3 selection at this point. He’s the 3rd-string QB on the Cowboys’ depth chart behind Cooper Rush.

I’m NOT advocating to make this move, mind you… just thinking aloud. Yes, Coach McD was there in SanFran when they traded up (with us) to draft Lance so early… but he wasn’t the QB coach (‘QB whisperer’), OC, or HC as he is today in Miami. Reclaimation project for cheap?

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

We have to do something. I’m not against it. Was lance not able to absorb the playbook in SF and that’s why he got traded? MM would know and know whether he would be a fit in his offense.

So, again, if MM were on board with it, I would not have a problem with it.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I feel the need to reiterate: I’m NOT advocating to make this move, being I do not like what I’ve seen from Trey Lance in his NFL career to date. Rather, I’m seeing it as a real possibility from Coach McD and Chris Grier’s perspective: he’d cost a song, wouldn’t have to draft a QB in the 1st round next year, and he was drafted by the 49ers as a system-fit.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I should say the SanFrancisco Dolphins or Miami 49ers, being Coach McD and Kyle Shanahan run twin systems.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

We obviously have no QB depth on this team regardless of what happens with Tua. I see myself doubling down on QB this draft anyway.

Been going with Jaxson Dart and Kurtis Rourke.

  8. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I’d love to do a poll here, as to who thinks Tua Tagovailoa will be our starting QB at the end of the season, and if we make the playoffs.

  9. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    BB Mike,

Dax dropped a new joint today…

  10. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Interesting Josh Allen was not listed on the Bills injury report with a concussion but was a full go with his ongoing left hand issue and new “ankle” injury.

The “ankle” injury he needed the smelling salts for.

Why is no one throwing up the BS flag?

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Isn’t it crazy? That being said, different people’s bodies and brains handle those hits differently. Apparently, Allen didn’t have the symptoms of a concussion. He probably still doesn’t. Tua, unfortunately doesn’t have it as easy.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Allen should have gone through concussion protocol. Funny how that works.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

        EXACTLY, Tim!

And we should all remember when Teddy Bridgewater was removed from the game when officials thought that there was a very mild possibility that just maybe (or not) he could have been lightly concussed, so they (the zebras) pulled him.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

But no… Josh Allen gets smelling salts for his ankle, as BB Mike stated above!

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Allen was semi knocked out. But allowed to return to the game and continued to perform poorly. WTF?!!!

  11. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I’m not defending the NFL, but people do handle getting knocked out differently. Some people, like boxers, get knocked down, and they can get up and finish a fight and win. Some guys just can’t get up again. It’s just the way it is

  12. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Tim, see my last post. That IS what’s happening. I’ve watched hundreds of UFC fights, some guys get knocked down and somehow they recover quickly enough to not lose the fight. Everyone is different.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

      Those aren’t NFL rules.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The NFL rules are they check the guy out, and I’m sure there are a few steps they have to pass. Tua looks like he got transported to another planet and he’s trying to see if he knows anyone. It sucks, but Tua gets affected poorly every time he gets his head jostled

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

A concussion is a concussion… not a matter of “oh, he’s alright to go back out there”.

  13. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Just for clarification here – You guys are saying the NFL jobs us, but lets the Bills and Josh Allen get away with an obvious concussion. Is that right?

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

      YES!!!

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

It seems that way. He should never have been allowed back in the game but he was. What’s the difference? Tua was walking around fine but was done and out for weeks. Just curious about the contradiction?

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

You think Tua was walking around fine??? Holy fuck, watch it again. He looked like he had no idea where he was. He eyes were vacant. I guess your answer to this question explains a lot. There’s a conspiracy against the Dolphins

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

That’s not what I saw. Dan Marino threw a TD pass that he doesn’t remember. Troy Aikman and Steve Young suffered multiple concussions too. Yes that was years ago but Allen should have never been allowed back on the field.

The NFL needs him. Think about it?

  14. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The NFL didn’t tell the Dolphins to put Tua on IR, that was on them to save face and show they care about him, but that was their choice. Truth is like I’ve mentioned before, we’re under a microscope because of his 2 concussions in the same season, but again, that’s part of the reason I didn’t want to sign him. Every time he’s hit there’s national attention

  15. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:
To me, he looks completely out of it, just looking up into the stands at nothing in particular not really knowing where he is.

  16. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    Mike E,

For whatever reason, and ever since Steve Ross purchased our Phins, nothing but BAD has occurred. And I’m not even talking about the product on the field, just the constant shitshow he’s the conductor of and about.

I don’t know if it’s about anti-Semitism, the fact that he’s a clown owner, or just the fact that he’s so filthy rich (even WAY before he publicly endorsed Trump)… people don’t like him, especially in inner NFL circles, including Goodell.

Yes… I DO believe there’s a conspiracy against our Phins. We can’t ever get a fair shake from the media, we’re over-scrutinized yearly, Tua was never going to ever be anything because he sucks, and well… just fuck us.

I’m not wrong on ANY of this, as you very well know, Bro.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Just click on Tua concussion against the Bills. There’s coverage all around the USA on that. I don’t think the NFL is behind it, they want to shut that shit down and stay out of the news for concussions. I can’t make you see it, but Tua is different. He makes everyone feel bad, while Josh Allen gets back up and gets into the game and doesn’t struggle with it.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

To add, Ross has fucked up so many times since he took over, the Tony Sparano/Jim Harbaugh helicopter ride, the tampering with Brady and Sean Payton, that’s on him. I don’t really think the NFL has it out for us, I just think Ross keeps tripping over his own feet

  17. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Tim – Why do they need Allen, but not Tua? Does that make any sense? If it does, then i think what you’re saying is Josh Allen is a much better QB than Tua, if that’s how you feel

  18. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

The Dolphins have made the playoffs twice for the first time in over 20 years but now it’s so dire fire everyone is the new thing. I’m not wired that way.

    Why can’t they rebound?

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

They can if the QB can do two things. Stay healthy and play well in big games. We have a lot of big games because we’re behind. I just feel like the offense looked like shit when Tua was playing, so I’m not confident he’s going to play great after being out for 6 weeks

  19. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Utah at Arizona State might be a decent game tonight at 9pm ESPN

  20. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I would say SC at Alabama, 11am ABC, would be a good game tomorrow if SC had a decent QB.

    Washington at Iowa, 11am FOX

    Texas at Oklahoma, 2:30pm ABC

Penn State at USC, 2:30pm CBS

    Stanford at ND, 2:30pm NBC

    Cal at Pitt, 2:30pm ESPN

    Cincinnati at UCF, 2:30pm ESPN2

    Florida at Tennessee, 6pm ESPN

#2 Ohio State at #3 Oregon, 6:30pm NBC

Ole Miss at LSU, 6:30pm ABC

Kansas State at Colorado, 9:15pm ESPN

  21. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Mike, enjoy the moment. I don’t really care about this time next year. I really don’t.

  22. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

“Following a minor injury scare in Week 5, it appears that the Buffalo Bills will have a fully healthy Josh Allen in Week 6. Allen returned to the game against the Houston Texans after hitting his head on the turf but was placed in concussion protocol after the contest.

Ahead of the team’s Week 6 matchup against the New York Jets, the Bills cleared Allen from concussion protocol. The NFL and NFLPA conducted a “joint review” of the quarterback’s evaluation and confirmed he would be cleared, per Jordan Schultz.”

    ————–

So, he was conveniently placed in the protocol after the game was over.

During the game they decide he is good to go and can continue playing. Then, after the game, they place him in concussion protocol. They put him back in knowing he was concussed because they were behind and needed to try and come back and win.

If they were up 3 TD’s, I bet he leaves the game due to a concussion.

Now he conveniently clears protocol before the first injury report comes out so he can fully practice for their next game vs the Jets.

I still call BS and nothing will change my mind. Double standard BS.

    Nice write up Mike E!

on the Tua concussion, I thought he looked fine after the hit

My cousin was sitting down low at the 10 yard line he says, Tua’s hand did that funny shake like he did 2 years ago, he knew right away it was a concussion and looked bad

  25. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

So I have to ask you guys that swear Josh Allen was concussed, but the Bills, and the NFL fixed it so he stayed in. Did they win the game? I’ll wait . . .

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

I don’t think it was a fix but I think it was a fuck up and subsequent cover up to hide the mishandling but I don’t think it was part of some intentional plot

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Possibly, but again, different people handle concussions differently, and some people respond well after a minute or so. I’m guessing that’s what happened with Allen, while Tua is different, his concussions leave him lying on the turf with clear neurological damage

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Mike, they aren’t talking about how a QB handles a concussion, they’re talking about the rules for thee and not me

Fins players and not just QBs have been concussed recently, each time the player has gone into the tent, as the rule states they must

In Allen’s case, that rule wasn’t followed

“If you put bad gas in your car, you know what I’m saying, they’re responsible for it,” he says of the gas station. “If you have this receipt, this keeps them from denying that their gas did mess up your car.”

  30. Ken's avatar Ken says:

    Mike E:

It didn’t look like Allen responded too well to the concussion. He could not hit the broad side of a barn afterward

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

And you think that’s different than normal? LOL

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Yes it is even if accuracy is not Allen’s game. 9 for 30 was the lowest percentage of completions with 30 attempts since 1992. He would not have hit the ground if it wasn’t for gravity. He was clearly affected and should not have been in the game. The Bills and league fucked up

    • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

i agree with you, Ken. The replay showed he was frumped/out. He should have never been allowed back in the game. He was concussed, period.

  31. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Steve, it will be a wait and see on the Wilkins comp pick. The saving grace so far is his first round pick status.

Tankathon is really accurate on their predictions/calculations and very up to date. They still have Wilkins as a 3rd round comp, for now.

These are their current mock picks for us after Thursday night game:

    8 Qinn Ewers QB Texas

46 DJ Sanders DT South Carolina

    98 Luke Lachey TE Iowa

99 Shamar Turner DT Texas A&M

Would definitely need to go IOL with next 2 picks after this.

  32. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Talking about brain damage, Haasan Reddick is doing his best AB impression. Just read he’s lost about 10 mil in fines, was dropped by his agency, and is now being sued by an ex business partner whom he physically threatened.

  33. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Here’s Allen on his in-game evaluation:

“I, obviously, went into the tent. I can only control what I can control. What we talked about there, they deemed me clear to play. That’s kind of what happened. That’s as deep as I’ll get into it,” said Allen on Wednesday.

    —————-

The way he phrased that makes me wonder is he even remembers what they ‘talked about there’, lol.

  34. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I didn’t watch the game, but I saw Allen was injured with like 6 minutes left in the 4th, so it looks like his horrible completion percentage that game was already in full effect prior to the injury.

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Dude was clearly knocked out though. While it is true that people do respond and recover differently to getting knocked out, I’m just not sure how you can ever let any player back in the game after literally being knocked out on the field, regardless of what cognitive tests they pass- just my 2 cents.

The optics on the Dolphins is our problem to bear. We knew he had this issue when we gave him the huge contract, can’t complain about it after the fact. We were under the microscope in ’22, and will be each and every time he goes down until he retires.

THAT’S what we’re saying. The concussion protocol is — at least in part –to save players from themselves… thinking that all is well.

The Bills (and the NFL) did not follow concussion protocol. As such, they need to be penalized. I’d say a 1st rounder in ’25 and a 3rd rounder in ’26.

Third question: Josh, what’s your jersey number? Josh says, “huh?” Doctor points at his jersey and Josh looks down and says “17”

Yes, I don’t think it was favoritism.

BUT, I don’t think it was a mistake either. They kept him on the field for quite a while. He was able to clear his head some before talking to doctors and was able to convince them he was fine.

As soon as he got back on the field running around and sloshing that brain around. You could tell he was not right. His struggles then didn’t compare to his struggles earlier before he knocked his head on the ground.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

The coaches/trainers on the field knew he was concussed. Once he got to the tent, he was able to convince doctors otherwise.

    Bro Mike E,

The Bills violated concussion protocol last Sunday. Their trainers interviewed Allen’s ankle under the tent, and Josh Allen’s ankle replied that he had no concussion. Plus, the NFL’s ‘concussion watcher’ (for lack of better words) was 100% complicit in allowing Allen back in the game.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE UNDER THE CURRENT RULES AND CONCUSSION PROTOCOL.

Yet, it seems they’re getting a free pass. If that doesn’t REEK (and I’m not talkin’ about ‘Reek Da Cheetah!) of conspiracy, I don’t know what to tell ya, my friend. I mean, the Bills even put Allen in concussion protocol AFTER the game had concluded.

This situation absolutely and most obviously warrants an investigation.

Yoooooooo! Just saw the highlights of the Ohio State @ Oregon game. This Dillon Gabriel passed the sniff test, albeit the only game I’ve seen from him (yes, just the highlights)… but against #2 Ohio State.

I wasn’t looking for us to draft a QB last season, so he was off my radar. WOW, I see he led the NCAA in passing yards, TDs, and completion percentage last season at Oklahoma… and as a senior. Transfered to Oregon instead of going pro in the ’24 NFL Draft.

I’m already seeing traits in him that (obviously) remind me of Tua… but also of Colt Brennan (RIP). I also see that his hometown is in Mililani, Hawaii. He was also a stud at UCF for 3 seasons.

There’s a LOT of tape I need to study from this cat, but he already seems to STAND OUT to me, which is sayin’ somethin’! My only concern? 6’0″, 200 pounds, per College Football Reference.

Time to draft a QB, pray Tua retires, and draft an O-line, and a D-line, a S to replace Holland, some LB’s, CB’s etc. We need draft picks, but we also have to fire Grier first because we don’t want him making those picks, that’s how we got here in the first place.

Yes, we see the light, but it’s not Tua that’s the problem, he isn’t the solution either though

With Tua out it’s quite apparent why we couldn’t beat the good teams last year, MM is way in over his head

He’s a brilliant minded OC posing as an HC

In big games last year MM didn’t have the team ready to play, sure Tua played a part in that as everyone including Grier did

Blow it up might be the only solution, playing with 2 inferior lines and very good/fast skill players isn’t the answer

We had the coach in Campbell, that has the tough guy mindset it may take to win big

Weaver comes to mind, maybe give him a shot, although in our quest for the next latest greatest isn’t working, we may need a proven coach

QB is key also, someone that can pick up some key first downs with his feet and has a biggish arm
