Let me start off by saying it was great to see everyone who attended the 2024 Fest! Despite the fact that the Dolphins lost after leading for most of the game didn’t ruin the day entirely because we had fantastic company! The Dolphins have now found another way to lose a game, one they were pretty much in control of through 3 and 1/2 quarters. Now, our Dolphins are 2-5, and face the daunting task of going to Buffalo to face the 1st place Buffalo Bills. The chasm between the 2 teams is wide, and the Bills record of 6-2 and our 2-5 record don’t adequately describe the difference between the teams.
The Buffalo Bills are #5 in offensive scoring averaging 28.8 PPG and are #6 allowing only 18.3 PPG. The Dolphins in contrast are #32 in offensive scoring at 13.9 PPG and mid pack at #16 on defense allowing 22.4 PPG. We could easily be 1-6 if not Jevon Holland’s game saving forced fumble near the end of game 1 against the Jaguars. Or, we could be 3-4 if Tua was somehow able to handle the high snap from C Aaron Brewer. I don’t know what to expect from our team against the Bills. No question the offense looked better in the hands of QB Tua Tagovailoa, but if you look at it in the context of we’re playing the Bills in Buffalo, it’s fugly man. Over the last 7 years, we have been outscored 290-174, and are 0-7 playing in Orchard Park Buffalo. You have to go back to 2016 to find the last time the Dolphins defeated the Bills in their house. QB Tua Tagovailoa has averaged a paltry 79.37 rating against the Bills in Buffalo over the last 4 years, and the one good game he had still resulted in a 32-29 defeat.
If, somehow, the Dolphins can beat the Bills this week, I suppose they could still have a small chance for a playoff berth, but they would have some tough sledding ahead, and more than likely need to win 7 of the next 9 afterwards, and that’s a tall task indeed for a team with the worst scoring offense, and a defense that couldn’t close out the Arizona Cardinals at home last week. What has been strange about our offense is WR Tyreek Hill has only cracked 100 yards once, the season opener. Jaylen Waddle’s season has been pretty similar, having only one 100 yard game, the last game against Arizona. TE Jonnu Smith who was supposed to be a big part of the offense has been hit or miss. Rookie RB Jaylen Wright, who to me looks like our best all around back just doesn’t get nearly enough touches. He’s averaging a team best 5.3 YPC but has only 36 carries on the season while De”von Achane has been getting too many touches with 81. RB Raheem Mostert also has had more carries than Wright with 45. I think it’s time to change that, Mostert might not even be here next season, and Achane is too fragile to handle a heavy workload.
The defense was a huge disappointment this past week. Yes, we lost OLB Jaelan Phillips for the season a few weeks ago, and OLB Bradley Chubb is still on IR. Our defense, with the Dolphins up 27-18 with 12:22 left in the 4th quarter allowed an 9 play 70 yard TD drive to close the score to MIA 27 – ARZ 25. Worse than the previous drive, the Dolphins allowed a 5:01 game winning drive to run the clock out, including 2 Miami Dolphins TIMEOUTS and the 2 Minute Warning. Pathetic!!!! Rookie LB Chop Robinson had one lousy tackle in the game. Chop has 10 total tackles playing nearly 50% of the snaps on defense. He has 2 tackles for a loss and ZERO sacks. Is it possible he turns things around? Who knows, but it’s another huge strike against letting Grier buy the groceries. Not sure I’d trust him to bring in the mail!
Whatever the result of this game is will decide the tenor of the next article. If we lose, I can guarantee my pitchfork will be sharpened and ready to stick it to the Dolphins front office, Head Coach Mike McDaniel, and many others. Grier with his myopic assessment of not only the talent of the roster he assembled, but the roster construction which is littered with one year contracts, except of the course the huge ones on offense like QB Tua Tagovailoa, WR Tyreek Hill, WR Jaylen Waddle, all to the tune of 13.9 PPG. If we don’t win this Sunday, it’s time to start looking elsewhere for a GM and a Head Coach too because no GM should have to be saddled with a lame duck Head Coach.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Oh boy, got to keep getting at it on offense
we need TDs.
That didn’t take long. 🤦🏼♀️
never does
Got any laundry?
Not doing it. I came back from FL and now have COVID. I blame the guy sitting next to me on the flight back. 🤧
Interesting.. I’ve had a sore throat and sinus issues last two days 🤨
Sorry to hear that feel better
The offense has to carry the day today. Keep plugging and score TD’s!!
Nice run by Wright
For fuck sakes
Dodging missiles here
That is a first down
That’s another Miami Dolphins FIRST DOWN!!
Tuahhhhhhh!!!
maybe not that spelling for his name?
spit on that thing!! 🤣
😂
WTG DOLPHINS!!
great blocking
Let’s go
Announcers giving our OL some love 👍👍
I resigned myself all week to the fact that we weren’t winning this game . I was at peace with that. Now that we are right there I’m going to be pissed if we lose!
We’re taking this one!
Already in FG range
we forgot how to tackle today
This season. TIFI
Like a hot knife through butta
Ticky tack shit
Sirian Neal not having a great day
well, at least we didn’t get our dicks kicked in
Not over yet
Offense has to carry the day! Gotta score that TD!
Valiant today but no moral victories
WTF
Oh no
If we get into the endzone you have to think we go for two
there’s a lot of time left
Yes, can’t believe we don’t go for 2
you have to kick this. If there was less time left I wouldn’t mind going for two
Dude…you do not go for 2…lol…that’s crazy mother fucker shit
Just enough time to watch our D give this up
K Defence.. git er dun
Sack?
Chop
unfuckingbelievable
And right on cue
I hate this fucking team. Just always with the mental mistakes
Refs getting involved like they always do. Ruins the game.
It was the right call. Thankfully it wasn’t PI
Agreed and if he doesn’t hit it was a catch
Miss, miss, miss
FUCK!
Always
Well, that sucked
anyone who didn’t think that was going to be good from 61 has never watched a dolphins game in their lives
Tua’s fault
I mean, if he would have hit Hill in stride that’s four more points…
well, let’s beat the jets twice and lose the rest for draft position
Grr
They finally looked like the team they should be, and still fucking lose. That was tough. Now at 2-6 you can stick a fork in us
Well, DAMN! I didn’t get to watch any of it. Been very busy at work and couldn’t stream it.
A 61 yarder?
There is a curse, I don’t care what you say.
What to do? Sell players for picks? Or not?
I wouldn’t Blow it up, but I’d listen to offers
I’d love to know where this “winning culture” McDaniel created has gone
This was depressing though. Tua played a really solid game as did most of the team. Still couldn’t get over the hump and our D, no matter who plays or coaches, can never stop Buffalo.
We can’t win but Pats and Raiders going to lose again. Giants, Browns and Saints already lost again.
We can’t even gain any ground on the 1st overall pick
Plus, Jags will probably lose again

Rumor is we are getting many offers for Calias Campbell.
depends on what we are offered . We still need bodies
Meh
One thing from today was hopefully MM learned you don’t need 3 people running around in motion before every play. Looked to me like the least pre snap motion I’ve seen from them and holy cow look at the lack of penalties.
Not that it matters anymore but if they keep MM maybe he will start getting rid of all that cuteness and go play football.
I actually noticed the same thing
I think the motion thing helped last year, but when they decided to enforce the rules on motion this season it has done more harm than good
Now that you mention it yes. There was lots less of both motion and flags …
I think if we had just resigned AVG, he would have made the difference in that game. 😉
So I also just tested positive for Covid ….
sounds like the fest was a super spreader…
I had it again about 5 weeks ago. It was nothing like the first time years ago. About 5 days and I was back to normal.
TBH, it really sucks being 2-6 and losing by 1 on an end of the game FG to the Cards then by a 61 yard FG by the Bills. Not to mention the loss to the Colts.
As bad as this team has played, we could have been 4-4 right now.
Looking at who we have left to play, if this team plays the way it did today vs the Bills, they could finish 7-2 the rest of the way. It would have put us at 11-6 instead of 9-8 if that happens.
I know 7-2 is a stretch but I could see them going at least 5-4.
What’s the rule for players spotting the ball?. Hollins did, no ref touched it and they ran the next play. Phins should be filing a protest.
Jaylen Waddle: 2 receptions for -4 yards and 1 TD
Why can’t we play football like that every game?
More times than not, we win.
Also, still too many mistakes!
Step back from the ledge!
It’s good

Well, it’s not good actually, at least as far as our team and more so the season, but yeah, life goes on.
Toba – That sucks! Who else has COVID?

Lol…I was with both…I don’t care…it’s a virus
Just info for anyone who wants it is all
Fair enough…some will want to know, for sure…lol
Right now, we are picking at #7 since we have had the easiest schedule of all the 2-6 teams. However, we will drop to #8 as soon as the Jags lose this afternoon and they go to 2-7.
I didn’t know our former RB Chris Brooks is on the Packers as a backup RB.
Should the hit by Poyer have been called or not called? This gave the game to the Bills.
When you watch it in slow motion, I guess, maybe. Watching it full speed, not so much.
‘What Can You Do? I Don’t Know’ — Miami Dolphins’ Jordan Poyer Reacts to Costly Week 9 Penalty
what can you do? Not lead with your head
feel better Toba and Herd!
^
Bills can clinch the division by Thanksgiving….
Hope y’all feel better! So is it just Herd and Toba?
So far…lol
You people crack me up…it’s a virus..welcome to the world ..lol
I would still tell them to feel better if it was the flu…
I caught the last moments of the game at work today. Looked to me like Waddle was going to score a TD for the other team at the end, but then Greg Rousseau caught him from behind 😆
This fuckin’ team! SMH 😆
Why start winning now?!!
Break the dam for Cam!!!
Fall on the sword for Ward!!!
Cami to Miami!!!
To be totally honest, Tua had a very good game today. Now watch him go concussion-less for the rest of the season, have a great offseason and camp in ’25, and he gets concussed in game one of the ’25 season, ending his career.
We’re in a really bad situation right now. Tua is great when healthy, but all it could take is just one more concussion. Do ya draft a QB in the 1st round of the ’25 Draft as an insurance policy? I’d sure as hell strongly consider as much.

NEW: Why I actually feel better about Dolphins’ long-term future after a loss that makes their playoff hopes extremely slim
https://miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article293504384.html
And a dozen notes, quotes, thoughts. The Walker/Long decision; Cam Smith; Tua reaction; more:
“We’re hitting our stride now”
That’s wonderful, really it is. How many times are we going to lose Tua for extended periods of time though, or the entire season? He played a nice game, the loss wasn’t his fault, but his absence for 4 games is a problem, and happens a lot. It’s probably going to happen again. I think it’s madness to count on him. Yes, he played well in this one game against Buffalo but it was a relatively warm day. I’d almost guarantee it would be different if it was 30 degrees instead of 54 degrees with max winds at 9 MPH. If it was 30 and winds of 20 MPH, different game.
No one even talks about how much we’re paying Hill and Waddle and right now the production we get from them. It’s insane, it really is. It’s great that we’re running the ball and Jonnu Smith is finally getting the targets he deserves, but you can’t pay 2 WR’s top money and then barely use them. Grier needs to go, if we really want fix this team. MM will have to go as well, because no GM wants to come in and have a Head Coach forced upon him.
So after a good night sleep, you’re on a tear…lol. Go Mike E.!
I’ve saw this quote earlier and wondered why it took until the 8th game of the season to reach their stride.
It seems fumbling snaps, fumbling balls, and stupid penalties are part of their stride, too. Lol.
So, Grier is looking to burn some draft capital to add talent when the season is already lost.
——————–
“Which is why the team’s apparent reluctance to sell at the trade deadline — plugged-in Miami-based agent Drew Rosenhaus said on the local FOX affiliate Sunday that the Dolphins have actually been aggressively making calls to acquire talent, not shed it — is so confounding.
The season is basically lost already. They either don’t know it yet or refuse to admit it.”
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/miami-dolphins-playoff-odds-week-10-2024/
When your ass is on the line you aren’t thinking about draft capital, just survival
So these 2 dweebs Grier and MM are mortgagjng the future again to save their asses
Ross should fire both on the spot
Did anyone see Saquon Barkley’s reverse hurdle yesterday? Crazy!!
I’m just so glad I’m not 30 anymore. A shitty season like this would ruin my whole Winter. Now, I sometimes forget who they’re playing. Lol
BBM,
That Barkley move was insane. It immediately made me think of Bo Jackson. I remember watching him and thinking I had never seen a guy do what he could do. I’ve never seen something like that on a football field.
^
I’m not a money guy, but isn’t it a horrible time to blow your team up right after you gave your QB $55M/year?
Agree and don’t think we will
Yeah, it won’t happen. Though, I thought we might be a seller on someone on a 1 year contract like Campbell.
Also, I was one of the people who said we should, but that was just out of anger.
No big trades today that I can see yet. Still early. Here the Cowboys and Saints might be sellers.
@TheMozKnowz
Follow
Drew Rosenhaus tells me that he expects the Dolphins to be buyers & not sellers ahead of tomorrow’s trade deadline. Who should the team ship out and who should they acquire?
that’s asinine for making the playoffs, but it my be necessary to get back on track
We are not doing squat at the deadline. Playoffs are out but the team has talent. We need to shore up OL and D but that should be done by draft and FA not with some overpriced trade in the middle of the season
I agree
100% agree. I will be pissed if they trade a draft pick for a player who will be a FA at the end of the year.
BB Mike,
WOOOOOOOO!!! Just now saw the Saquon play: W-O-W!!! That just may be the best combo-move I’ve ever seen in my life. As if that spin-move wasn’t absolutely amazing, the backward hurdle just made my jaw drop.
That is a play we’ll be seeing for the rest of our lives in highlight reels, posters, and commercials… kind of like the Michael Jordan dunk where he took off from the free-throw line in the dunk competition.
Thanks for sharing! I missed that yesterday!
Miami Dolphins
Roster Move | We have released LS Matt Overton from the practice squad.
They had to. He can’t be elevated off the PS anymore without staying on the 53. Ferguson has to miss another week before he can come back so they will be signing another LS to the PS soon.

Hulkster,
While I completely agree that we shouldn’t be buyers at the deadline (only sellers of those who are on 1-year deals right now), it’s just so Grier to try to make a splash. I won’t be surprised if we suddenly trade for a stud and continue to destroy our future cap space… while losing an important draft pick for the future.
That is one thing I am worrying about. That, or blowing a draft pick on a player who will be a FA next year.
I hope he’s not that stupid.

I thought the running game and pass game balance was the best it has been in awhile. I thought the offense looked good and MM made adjustments over the last few weeks. The O line performed well. It was a good game.
I agree! Thought the Offense as a whole looked fairly good, even though ‘Reek and Waddle had subpar games.
It was the Defense who let us down yesterday. But then again, when 5 studs of 11 starters were missing, I can’t come down too hard on them.
Poyer killed us with his helmet-to-helmet penalty, Chop had a couple of rookie mistakes that resulted in penalties, and there were too many missed tackles.
Great effort yesterday against the Bills, but the injury bug continues to plague us.
RIP, Quincy Jones. 91 years old. 😦
Damn! Love Quincy! What a musician!!

Word up!
Dolphins will get to 6-6 with win against Packers on Thanksgiving. 😏
Just take one game at a time. Enjoy the moments
Agreed
Grier and McDaniel are fighting to keep their jobs. No way are we selling, although long term, it would probably be best. I don’t think we’ll buy either though. Just stay in neutral and hope we can somehow win enough games to make the playoffs. My guess is the following teams are going to be competing for playoff spots.
Steelers, Ravens, Bengals, Colts, Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Bills and Jets. Obviously, 4 will be division winners, Chiefs look to be in the best shape for that along with the Bills. It’s a toss up in the other 2 divisions, I’d pick the Ravens and the Texans. That leaves 3 spots for WC’s. Right now we’re in awful shape to get one, it will leave us probably needing to win 7 of 9. Hard to imagine us accomplishing that considering we did play better the last 2 games but couldn’t find a way to win. Crazy to expect us to all of a sudden become a .777 team.
@AlbertBreer
The Bengals are trading a seventh-round pick to Chicago for RB Khalil Herbert, as Herbert himself indicated here. Scary injury for Zack Moss, so Cincinnati needed depth at the position.
@AlbertBreer
Trade terms … Lions get: DE Za’Darius Smith and a 2026 seventh-round pick. Browns get: 2025 fifth-round pick and 2026 sixth-round pick. Cleveland wanted a fourth. Didn’t quite get there but close. Lions get their rusher with long-discussed deal complete.
This isn’t the time to do anything but get better. I think this team showed its heart by disappearing for a month. I believe what I see not what I’m told. All they can do is learn from it and hopefully get better. I know I’d rather have a higher draft pick than a one and done in the playoffs again.
