This is the time for this team to make it’s stand, to turn the season around. These teams couldn’t be further apart, both in how they’ve played so far, the way the Bills have been scoring points in bunches and how the Dolphins offense barely scores at all. The Dolphins have put 11 guys on the field at any given time during each game but those 11 guys haven’t really played defense. It hasn’t appeared that those 11 guys have been much of a deterrent for opposing offenses. I’m not going to work harder than this team has so I’m not going to give you the exact number, but they had a great streak of 10 consecutive drives in which opposing offenses scored on which took them through to the 3rd quarter of game 2 against the Patriots.
This defense has allowed an embarrassing 33.0 points per game. Some folks think Anthony Weaver deserves to be the guy that replaces current HC Mike McDaniel if he were to get fired, but shouldn’t his unit have to keep it under 25 points per game before being considered as the interim Head Coach? Sure, a lot of this falls on GM Chris Grier. Some of you here behave as if Grier had his best draft ever in 2025. OMG, DT Kenneth Grant, OG Jonah Savaiinaea, DT Jordan Phillips, CB Jason Marshall, S Dante Trader, RB Ollie Gordon, QB Quinn Ewers, and DT Zeek Biggers. It may just turn out to be that way, but so far, after only 2 games it doesn’t look so good. DT Kenneth Grant hasn’t showed up, he’s played, but hasn’t really done anything. OG Jonah Savaiinaea has started both games but hasn’t fared well, despite the trade up which ruined 31 other franchises who wanted him. DT Jordan Phillips is playing too, he’s in the rotation but also hasn’t done anything yet either. S Dante Trader and DT Zeek Biggers have gotten playing time as well and some folks are optimistic about S Dante Trader, but this defense has been awful and they couldn’t pick a more difficult opponent in the Buffalo Bills who are averaging 35.5 points per game.
There’s been a lot of talk about the pressers before the game, especially the one featuring our QB Tua Tagovailoa. He was effusive with praise, and very humble, and while I don’t give a rats ass what he says, I wholeheartedly agree with everything he said. As to whether he should have said it or not, again, IDGAF. Tua needs to be loud on the field, and lead this team to an improbable win. The Bills on defense have been soft, allowing 25 points per game. Our putrid offense led by the humble one has managed only17.5 points per game, good for last in the NFL. Damn, so close a competition, but the offense just edges out the defense as the worst in the NFL, as the Defense is 31st, allowing 33.0 points per game.
If I were an optimistic fella (I’m not), and if I thought there was a gameplan that might topple the Bills (There might be), I would feed both running backs and I would take some deep shots against this Bills secondary. The Bills haven’t been good defensively, Achane has been amazing, I think he’s clearly the centerpiece of this offense. Ollie Gordan has had 3 rushing attempts. Sound familiar? Well, yes, it does! We did the same thing when we featured our newly drafted RB last season Jaylen Wright, who required 2 picks, one a 2025 3rd RD pick. Hey, how’s that trade up looking right now? Anyway, it would be nice to see the RB Ollie Gordon get some carries and do some damage and keep the Bills offense off the field.
If you’re a betting man, the Bills are -900 and the Dolphins are +600. I don’t bet and I don’t even know what it means, but the betting has been heavy on Buffalo. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but if the NFL was gonna fix a game, this would be it. The betting has been extremely heavy on the Bills favored by 11 points against the Dolphins. Over the last 5 seasons, the Bills are 9-1 against the Dolphins. Starting from 2021, these are the scores, all in favor of the Buffalo Bills except one. 56-26, 35-0, 26-11, 19-21, 32-29, 34-31, 48-20, 21-14, 31-10 and 30-27. Some have been close, but the Bills have been dominant in the win column. Bills have been our daddy, and at the current time, this might just be the biggest mismatch. If I didn’t have my doubts about the NFL being fixed, I would say the Bills would win this game 41-3. I do, however, have legit doubts about whether games could be fixed and this one is ripe for that.
If we do somehow upset the Big Bad Bills, just wait until next week when we unveil our Rivalry Uniforms against the Jets at Hard Rock, so we can’t possibly lose that game, right? We’d be right back at 2-2 and ready to blister all the way to 14-3 as our own dear Piggy predicted. It could happen, right? Probably not. The Bills are in their new stadium, Highmark Stadium, and that would be a horrible loss for the Bills, not only a division loss but also a conference loss as the Bills try to keep pace with the LA Chargers, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Indianapolis Colts as well as staying ahead of the Chiefs and Ravens and I think one of the dark horses this year, the Denver Broncos.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

OMG, I’m first!!!! Do I win something? Is this even a thing? Why do so many people care about being “first”. With that said here is my segue to us being losers. I’m hoping we lose by a record breaking deficit which might just actually put the wheels in motion of Ross moving on from Grier & McDaniel. I mean I’m talking 80-3 or something like that. The absolutely worst thing this team can do is win this game. It would derail everything us true fans have been longing for….new leadership: Grier, McDaniel, and Tua Turntheballova. Please let the football gods be kind to me for once and cause us to lose by epic proportions!!!!
Now now Jeff, you cannot claim to be a “true fan” everybody fans their own way.
IT’S GAME DAY BITCHES!!
GO DOLPHINS!
(Yeah right)
Thank you, Mike E.!
I can’t fathom a win tonight, but who knows? Lol…

Anyone else here smell something foul, I mean besides the stench of our team? Seriously, anyone think the fix might be in on this one?
I don’t think so. We’re not good enough for anyone to put that much effort in and it would really make a lot of people wonder. This team on paper and in games is worse than the team who went 8-9 and got blown out by Buffalo in one of our two losses. I just don’t see how they could sell it. How would a team that can’t get plays off on time in critical situations beat the best team in football?
NFL is entertainment, would that not be entertaining?
No. We might put up a bit of a fight, the refs may give us a little help, the sun might get in the Bills’ eyes, someone may cough really loudly right as Allen throws the ball…and we’re still losing by 2-3 scores minimum.
MikeE,
It’s a divisional game so you never know. Maybe they’re taking us too lightly after our coach said we suck and our QB licked Josh Allen’s balls.
LOL!!
Lmao!
Do you have to sign up for Amazon to see the game or are there commercials so we can get it free?

Oh Tua , I get soooo tired kicking your ass everytime we play , it’s exhausting
Such a great moment. If Josh Allen wasn’t on the Bills he’d easily be my favorite QB.
Mike E : I’m not usually that guy … But , I have seen ya state Bills are in their new stadium a couple times .. it actually only opens Next year …
As for the FIX ? If they were to fix a game that would have no effect on the standings 🤷♂️, this is one .. but I really hope that not the case
No kidding? I thought it was open this season
Next season
Mike E,
Nice write as usual. As for a fix in tonight’s game? I suppose anything is possible. What I do think could happen is we win tonight because we had this date circled on the calendar when the schedules came out.
It’s possible we totally overlooked the Colts and Patsies* in preparation for this game. That, and I think Grier assembled our roster to beat the Bills to win the division. Do I realistically think we win tonight? NO. But, it wouldn’t surprise me.
All I can say with any kind of certainty is that if Darren Waller was starting tonight for us, we’d be very heavy favorites to win tonight… LOL
Mike, Wilkins was also doing weird locker room shit that a lot of Raiders players talked about in the offseason.
EXACTLY.
I’m aware, but if he was healthy he’d be signed already. How many times have we seen that happen in the NFL?
Maybe
his version of “talk to the 🖐️ “ may have been much different than Mike’s…lol
The only way we win tonight is if we sign Matt Roth. Doesn’t even need to play, he can win the game for us from the sidelines.
AGREED! 😆
MATT ROTH!!! MATT ROTH!!! MATT ROTH!!!
lol
😂
Thanks Toba, Bookman – I thought that stadium was opening this season
Anytime buddy
I see Josh Allen will be wearing a visor in his helmet to help protect the broken nose he sustained last Sunday.
I think Josh Allen is just afraid Tua might kiss him. 🙃
😆
Or maybe Josh Allen didn’t get the memo that Christian Wilkins is no longer with us?!! LOL
He could where a solid black visor and would still beat us.
Probably true!
BBM’s Post Week 2 Mock Draft
Big trade down from #5.
18. Garrett Nussmeier QB LSU
37. Austin Barber OT Florida
50. Michael Taaffe S Texas
69. Jermaine Mathews Jr. CB Ohio State
78. Lander Barton LB Utah
82. Gabe Jacas EDGE Illinois
102. Chris Brazzell II WR Tennessee
115. Chandler Rivers CB Duke
134. Aaron Graves DT Iowa
198. Justin Joly TE NC State
If TE Justin Joly, 6’3, 250, lasts to the 7th round, I would be surprised. I think he will be gone between 4th and 5th round.
college side judges spot the ball so goofy sometimes. Check the olay at the 50 second mark, he catches it right at the 1st down marker (debatable 1st down) and its spotted a full yard back. At no point after touching the ball was he back a yard
its really common when someone catches a long pass, ball is typically spotted 1 or 2 yards back
Saw that. lol
BBM,
I really like Nussmeier’s passing proficiency: he’s REALLY good! On the other hand, he’s smallish at 6’1″, and he’s no threat to run the ball… which the NFL seems to be trending toward: dual-threat QBs.
It’s far too early for me to ascertain what our next HC (and possibly next GM) may be looking for, but the current TREND would point me in the direction of LaNorris Sellers.
Again, too early for me to call it. If Sellers shits the bed this season for South Carolina, all bets are off.
I’ll be watching Nussmeier, Sellers, and most obviously Drew Allar (GO PSU!!!) a lot this college football season.
Just don’t tell Mike E that I’m looking for Tua’s replacement in next year’s Draft! 😉
he’s smallish at 6’1″, and he’s no threat to run the ball.. sounds like ya drafting Tuas clone 😎🤷♂️
I know right, he still thinks you’re a Tua apologist
LOL @ M! Maybe that too!
😀
Until I hear he’s staying in school, I’m sticking with Mateer as my favorite prospect.
Also, Fernando Mendoza is another QB I like.

And that’s exactly why I’m not as high on Nussmeier as others are, Brother Manitoba. I think our next regime is going to want a dual-threat QB, being that it’s the trend and those QBs seem to experience the greatest success in today’s NFL.
LaNorris Sellers is my guy as of *right now*.
Sellers has the measurements and is very talented, but I haven’t seen that translate to the field yet. Well, only glimpses. Also, he left the game last week against Vanderbilt with a concussion.
Agreed, Rich. I want to see more of Sellers, and my expectations for him are high. If he sucks this year, then he’s off my radar for the ’26 Draft.

I think Mateer has a good build at 6’1, 224. But again, he’s ‘smallish’ at 6’1″. He IS a threat to run the ball as a dual-threat QB.
Yes… Mateer will be the other QBs (along with Nussmeier, Sellers, and Allar) who I’ll keep a close eye upon.
and he’s no threat to run the ball (Nussmeier)
———–
That is why I traded down.
I am not a fan of Sellers. He has not looked all that great in the 1st two games this year against lesser opponents. He was 11-19 for 128, 1 TD and 8 rush for 23 yards vs South Carolina State. He threw an INT last week before getting knocked out of the game with a concussion in the 1st half in a blow out loss vs Vanderbilt.
So are you a buyer or seller regarding Sellers?! LOL 😉
Yes… Sellers still has much to prove this season, and so far, not so good. I’m REALLY hoping he shows and proves from here on out. If not, he’s not for us in the ’26 Draft.
Sellers is so talented. I just fear SC is not teaching him how to play QB, reading defenses, etc. I think it will several years to develop him.
Until I hear he’s staying in school, I’m sticking with Mateer as my favorite prospect.
——–
That’s my guy! For now.
I’m not sold on Mendoza. Let’s see what he does this weekend vs #8 Illinois who has a good secondary.
It should be a good game. Illinois is a pretty good team this year.
BBM and Rich,
Very seriously, if Sellers sucks this season, he’s out for me.
And he’s not off to a good start, to be sure.
I have mentioned Georgia Tech QB Haynes King 6’3, 215, for 2 years now. I think he is an underrated dual threat QB. He’s got a decent arm and a good runner. In just 2 games this year he has 259 yards and 4 TD’s rushing, to include 103 yards and 1 TD rushing in an upset win over top 10 ranked Clemson. No passing TD’s in either game but GT is a run first team.
He would be a later round option. Hell, draft Mateer and King. Having a running QB will keep those LB’s closer to the LOS.
I like how you think… At this moment, sign me up!!!
Keep him in mind if we need a RUNNING BACK
Rock, that highlight didn’t reflect how good a passer King is. One of the most exciting games I have watched over the years was Haynes King and GT at #7 Georgia last year. Georgia ended up winning 44-42 in 8 overtimes. King was 26-36 for 303 yards, 2 TD’s with 0 INT’s and rushed for 110 yards and 3 TD’s.
Yeah, perhaps the game has passed me by. I HATE running QB’s. They should be passers first. IMO.
100% agree
I agree. Having that ability makes a world of difference though. Tua is a perfect example. He is NO threat to run and one less thing opposing defenses have to worry about. LB’s can play deeper into coverage.
Again, I’m talking about possibly drafting King on day 3.

100 per cent understand … I don’t order anything on line either . I like to touch what I am shopping for … wife and kid have packages arriving almost daily , prime tv in Canada has a lot of good shows on it , but it is not needed for football games ..
TSN in Canada has broadcast rights to ALL NFL games .. so they show the Prime/Peacock and ESPN games weekly , so all I need is TSN , which also shows all Winnipeg Jets games , and Sunday ticket , basically to get Sunday Fins games weekly..
Hours before their game at Buffalo, the Dolphins on Thursday used their two permitted practice squad elevations on kicker Riley Patterson and safety Jordan Colbert.

That means Achane, Gordon and Wright, or Achane, Wright and Gordon
The question should be, does it matter? Miami will probably give up on the run early once again.
Rich – I feel like it’s the same story the last couple of decades, this team always seems to abandon or give up on the run
Outside of the Ricky Williams’ era, they do seem to give up early a lot.
Even when Ajayi was here, I remember when he had that big season, he had three 200 yard games and most of the other games he didn’t get nearly the amount of carries he got in those 200 yard games
The way you beat the Bills is you need to have a ball controlled offense don’t try to outscore them. Just keep Josh Allen on the bench because he can’t score. If he’s sitting on the sidelines watching a methodically ball controlled offense.
What’s weird, I think I will be sadder if we win…lol.
Jeff made a great point….we need a beatdown…lol
Yep….

Go Phins, I guess…
I’m excited to see if our extra point coverage can continue to dominate the league.
We’re not at home tonight, though!

perfect drive
Damn that drive looked good.

LOL, me too!
Alright, let’s see our Defense!
No seriously, let’s see our defence.. anytime now
What defense?
Just trying to work out how we’re going to give up 10 points on this drive
By fumbling the KR and we actually give them another TD 😤
Why can’t we stop the run?
De…Def…Defen….Defenestration! Yeah, that’s it!
defense didn’t get the memo
YUP
Oh if only we had Waller 😶🌫️ we could do that
Tua is turning into a choke specialist
Man I hate it when the snap hits our qb in the hands 😳
Tua saw the pressure coming, and fumbled. He got alarmed, and he’s playing not to get hurt.
Tua’s such a fucking loser
Ah, man… I wouldn’t go that far.
Overthrow on a short pass on 1st down that would have gained a 1st down, then can’t manage the snap because of the perceived pressure on 3rd down. All him. And don’t get me started on the Colts game…and the 2 minute drive of the Pets game…and on…and on
If you play Benny Hill music while watching the game, it makes it a lot more enjoyable.

I’m not here to be a Tua apologist… but I must remind EVERYONE about Chris Grier saying that Tua must play to not get hurt.
What the heck does that have to do with that last drive?
And when you’re constantly defending and making excuses for him, that is being an apologist, lol
It means that Grier, McD, and Tua must go.
“It means that Grier, McD, and Tua must go.”
I don’t mean to be agreeable, but I totally agree with you 😉
I’m complicated, I know! LOL
lol
Our Defense SUCKS!!!
At least we forced a 3rd down on this drive
This defense can’t stop anything.
excellent defense on that one play
he was past the LOS when he threw that forward
Still no stops this year
I don’t care who our QB is but with this D we ain’t winning shit
I think the secondary is missing assignments at a ridiculous rate. I’ve seen numerous times in the first two games and at least on the first TD play in this game where there is a clear coverage lapse that leaves a guy wide open in space. It makes sense it would happen since we’re playing guys off the street, but I never thought it could be this bad.
pretty sure the ball was at the 6 not the 5 and he threw it to the receiver at the 5
As long as any part of his body is behind the line it is a legal pass
Now I return to the shadows
they are really going to milk that Achane swing pass to death
This has the feeling of the beginning of an avalanche
there’s a huge chunk of the filed right in front of Tua that they aren’t using
no one is running in huge chunks of the field
Flush Tua out of the pocket (as I’ve stated over the last two days), and he’s in the danger zone, being he can’t run.
In an Offense that relies on timing, you’d better have a scrambling QB. Tua isn’t it.
And he almost exclusively bails out to his left – understandable for a left handed QB, but so predictable that the defense can expect that he’ll always do that, which limits his options further.
And we STILL can’t stop the run. SMMFH
this defense is so bad
Terrible
it not surprising really. We did a piss poor job of addressing the secondary, and relying on the front seven to hold it down doesn’t typically work.
If I was playing on this defense, I’d definitely get injured too…
The only time an injury looks better on your resume than playing is if you were on the 2025 Dolphins defense.
Anthony Weaver making sure he’s not interim HC. His defense blows! Grier’s defense blows! Grier blows! McDaniel blows! Tua blows!
I think we should throw McD, Grier, and Tua out of the window
M13,
You don’t want a scrambling QB in a timing offense. You don’t want your QB scrambling at all. That is kinda the point. You want him to hit the back of his drop and the ball is coming out. No scrambling. Lol
No DLine push, no credible pass rush, not sealing edges, playing too conservative off WR’s (actually probably for the best), no instincts, players made of paper mache. A defense recipe for success!
A defensive stand! 👀
Allen looked like Tua on that sack
Phillips around the edge and Allen got happy feet
Does that count as a stop ?? 😱
Twice – exactly. They tried to push that new culture agenda down our throats but did anyone really buy it? This team is soft AF.
who would have guessed
swing pass to Achane
there’s no one open downfield
they don’t have to run everyone other than Achane downfield on every play

I DO hear ya, man. Then enter somebody named Steve Young…
When the reads weren’t there, Young was able to take advantage of as much with his wheels.
Um yeah..,the Achane swing pass is getting predictable
Gonna get Achane killed
shitty pass, everything is high
If Tua gets that out a half second quicker (and not a lollipop throw), that’s actually a big play. There was nothing in front of him for 20 yards after that first guy. Execution always not quite crisp enough across the board (except Achane).
great play by Tua there
Herbstreit keeps saying our identity is the running game what a moron. He’s from OSU, so it’s expected.
turned the sound off earlier, because of
SO…what I’m reading here is the D sucks and Weaver is not HC in waiting, O sucks lead by Tuaturndaballova, a HC as dead man waliking, and CG who has put this cluster fuck together…lmao!
Oh my.
Tua throws WAY too many hospital balls. Jaylen Waddle and Achane have already suffered over the last two seasons.
Tua running out of a perfectly fine pocket and throwing the ball away.
I see that too
yep
Yep, I saw it too
And always to his left. Predictable.
watching this O hurts my stomach, like riding in a car with someone learning to drive
That was actually an athletic play by Tua
compared to DL
so incompetent MM is
Wow
