The Miami Dolphins finally got in the win column. The record now stands at 1-3, while of course the Buffalo Bills are undefeated at 4-0. The win itself was unimpressive, it felt like the Jets were not only playing against our Dolphins on the field, but the officiating crew as well. The Jets were hit with 13 penalties for 101 yards while the Dolphins only 6 penalties for 40 yards. I’m not going to name all the penalties that could/should have been called on our team but the two egregious misses in my view were the tackle of QB Justin Fields out of bounds, he was so clearly already out of bounds and was tackled at least 3-5 yards beyond being out of bounds. That should have been a 15 yard personal foul. The other one was Jets 2nd TE Jeremy Ruckert caught a pass and was tackled, and then a good second to a second and a half later, a Dolphins defender decided to dive on his back way too late. Despite the fact that the game was in the evening, it was actually still 86 degrees and plenty hot, but of course the blazing sun was not a factor.
It’s one game, but I can admit at least as far as his initial game performance, that TE Darren Waller, who I mocked GM Chris Grier relentlessly for played very well and made his presence felt. Obviously, he has to do a whole lot more, because one huge factor in my criticism is that I don’t think Waller is going to be here long, but if he keeps being making big plays and helping the team, I may just end up being very wrong about that move. In any case, as any Dolphins fan knows, we lost WR Tyreek Hill to a devastating knee injury, a dislocation, which included torn ligaments as well, most notably his ACL. I’m not sure if we’ll ever see Tyreek Hill in a Miami Dolphins uniform again, but I do think the people that made fun of Tyreek’s smiling and clapping were out of line, I think he was thanking the fans applause and that’s all it was.
Jaylen Waddle time. It’s not that Jaylen Waddle has to be Tyreek Hill, he just has to be Jaylen Waddle before Tyreek was even here. Or, even Jaylen Waddle of 2022 when Tyreek first came to the Dolphins. He had back to back 1000 yard receiving seasons with 14 total TD’s over those 2 years. In 2021 he was almost like a possession receiver, but in 2022, he became a big play receiver with an outstanding 18.1 YPR with 1356 yards receiving and 8 TD’s. Let’s face it, the offense runs through RB De’Von Achane, but Waddle has to be involved. He may not be an elite #1 WR like Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson or Puka Nacua, but he doesn’t have to be any of that. I prefer a more balanced attack anyway, so keep letting Achane do his thing, if Waller can keep contributing that would be great, and WR Malik Washington has also proven he’s a very shifty runner with the football and runs good routes and understands his assignments. I’d like to see them ramp up RB Ollie Gordon’s carries too, but it sure is hard to not want to feed Achane, he’s so good.
So what’s up with the rookies? Well, so far not a whole lot of good to report. Our two first picks, DT Kenneth Grant who we took at RD 1 #13 and LG Jonah Savaiinaea have not played well. Grant was supposed to a stout interior defender who really plays the run well, and he’s been nearly invisible. Savaiinaea who required another Grier trade up hasn’t looked the part at LG at all yet. The other draft piocks haven’t fared much better, DT’s Jordan Phillips and Zeek Biggers have been playing but not showing up quite yet, and even RB Ollie Gordon has only 18 carries as so far though 5 games, not even 5 per game. Who knows what’s going on with last year’s Grier’s trade up, RB Jaylen Wright who has yet to play this season.
You want some good news? Grier’s late piickups, CB’s Rasul Douglas and CB Jack Jones have been playing pretty well. Not outstanding, but both played extremely well against the Jets. Jack Jones had what could easily be the biggest play of the game punching out the football from Jets RB Braelon Allen near the goal line. That forced fumble totally changed the game as the Jets were about to score, it was a 14 point swing, as the Dolphins drove one of their best drives in the last few years, a masterful 15 play masterclass, that took up 8 minutes and 40 seconds culminating in TE Darren Wallers first TD reception as a Miami Dolphin. It was really something, and that basically took the heart out of the Jets. If that didn’t do it, the officials helped there as well by not giving the Jets any chance.
We play this game in Carolina, and the Panthers are not so unlike our Dolphins. Both teams are 1-3, and both are either in the 20’s or near the 20’s on offense and defense, the Dolphins slightly better on offense (#22) with the Panthers at (#26), and the Panthers a little better on defense at (#19) while our Dolphins are at (#26). The Panthers have only played one home game in their first 4 games and in that game the Panthers obliterated a very talented Atlanta Falcons offense, shutting them out 30-0. Last week they got shellacked by the New England Patriots 42-13, so who knows which team we will face. Besides the drubbing at the hands of the Patriots, despite not playing especially well, we have been in every other game, winning last week, and of course failing to come up big against the Bills with the game still available for the taking.
We will see how Mike McDaniel adjusts to the Hill-less offense. There’s no reason why this offense can’t be a good one, and as we know, this offense will only go as far as QB Tua Tagovailoa will take it. Everyone else will have to step up, we ned that O-line to get healthy. I’m not sure when RG James Daniels will be back, or RT Austin Jackson, and even more importantly, will they play well and be able to finish the season? Tremendous question marks on both, and once again, the poor depth of our O-line rears it’s ugly head as RT Larry Borom invokes memories turnstile RT Marc Colombo, not a good thing. HC Mike McDaniel has Tua staying away from the weak right side and has been exclusively rolling to his left where 2nd year LT Patrick Paul and rookie Jonah Savaiinaea reside. So far it has worked, but as teams study film, and tendencies will be exploited, so they’re going to have to mix that up some. One notable thing in the Jets game was the surprising amount of reps QB Tua Tagovailoa spent under center, and not in the shotgun formation. He seemed more comfortable that way, and more efficient. We’ll see if that continues against the Panthers.
The Panthers feature QB Bryce Williams, along with rookie WR Tet McMillan and slot WR Hunter Renfrow who along with RB Chuba Hubbard, have the most targets with rookie Tet McMillan #1. RB Rico Dowdle backs up Hubbard and is second in carries, but Hubbard is the workhorse. QB Bryce Young hasn’t seemed to have found his stride yet, and has been uneven so far this season. It would be nice to our front 7 come alive. OLB Chop Robinson hasn’t been playing much, and vet OLB Jaelan Phillips has, but hasn’t been much with all the playing time. Phillips has been in coverage with mixed results but seems a few steps slow with the pass rush game. The team has 8 sacks after 4 games, not hideous, but we all thought this potentially could be a strength, maybe it still will.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

An Open Letter to Stephen Ross: Time for Change is Now
————–
I concur with this open letter 100%.
Don’t know if Ross will pull the trigger in-season (perhaps he wants to save face as a professional), but the firings are coming eventually… that is, unless we somehow turn it around… and I don’t see that happening.
Save face as a professional??? That’s a good one. LOL
HA! LOL
The only thing that would scare me if Ross fired Coach McD and/or GM Grier right now? Ross has already shown the propensity to prematurely tamper with coaches and players.
It would be our luck that we again end up losing valuable draft picks, just because Ross wants to get head-start on hiring.
https://phinphanatic.com/dolphins-walking-directly-inevitable-quinn-ewers-decision
A couple of more weeks and I agree with this article. We need to see what Quinn Ewers can bring and we might as well do it now rather than not at all.
An interim head coach could get away with it. Fire Mike McDaniel NOW!
YES, at some point in time this season, we’re going to want to see if Ewers is a keeper.
Doesn’t even matter if Tua is KILLING IT, the future HC and GM are going to hitch their wagons on a healthy young QB via the Draft.
Mike E,
See if you agree with me here (I know you will). Even if Tua ends up throwing for over 5,000 yards this season, with 45 TDs, 6 INTs, and a passer rating over 115.0… the new HC and GM are going to find a new QB.
WHY? One more concussion could find Tua retiring from football. Then what will do? We’d better figure out if Ewers has a future here and prepare to draft a QB in the 1st round, IMO.
It sure would be nice to see what our O-Line would look like with both James Daniels and Austin Jackson in there. Maybe bench Big Jonah for a game or two and replace him with a vet. GM Grier can’t seem to find 5 healthy, solid O-Linemen… much less having continuity from last season, due to GM Grier.
And as I’ve already mentioned a week ago, Anthony Weaver is working with 7 or 8 NEW players as starters on Defense, who are unfamiliar with his system. There is little to zero continuity from last season, due to GM Grier.
“Any play that I would have picked other than the ones that I was calling, I guess, stand a chance to be productive,” McDaniel said.
Clueless loser
MF13, I was watching Jonah all game and he fucked up almost every play. He was awful. Worse than awful, he was impeding other players on our side. I was texting MikeE video clips during the game. Marshmallow Soft! No balance! Tripping over his own feet. Whiffing on blocks. STANDING BY and watching plays…The kid needs to be benched.
he was single-handedly killing drives all by himself. Stupid shit like trying to double with the center and letting the DT go right past him with no effort to stop HIS guy. On one play his missed his block on the DT and then ran up the field 5 yards and missed a block on the LB who made the tackle on Achane behind the line. (FIVE YARDS behind him!)
M13,
I believe football is a team sport, and I’ve never really believed that winning is about one position. With how the NFL has changed the game by favoring QBs in every single way and ruined fair competition, I’m beginning to change my mind. QBs have been saying it for years, but I think their job is to win….not put up stats.
Winning is still a team effort, but I think they’ve allowed QBs to have far more impact on winning than any other player on the field. So, maybe win more. Everybody says football games come down to a few plays to win or lose at the end. Start making winning plays when it’s on the line. That’s what the $50M is for.
The best part of the embarrassment that was yesterday’s game is the McDaniel blamed it on Anthony Weaver. His offense couldn’t run for more than 18 yards in an entire game, but he is going to blame Weaver for the loss?
This is the SECOND worst rushing total in Dolphins history, behind the -10 yard total in 1966 to the Balt Colts.
Rockphin,
Man, I hear ya on Big Jonah… he’s totally not ready for the NFL at this time, and it’s a shame. There were Guards drafted much later this past Draft who are killing it. But it cost us a TRADE-UP to get Big Jonah? SMH 😡
Mbow was someone I liked more than Jonah “2 picks”. Just saying…
Randy,
And I hear you, too, man. Goodell has radically changed the game we all grew up on… and I miss that game we all grew up on.
I believe you’re right about it becoming a sport that is single-handedly won or lost by QB play… and that Tua isn’t worth $50M/year.
Randy,
What are your thoughts on allowing Big Jonah to play via trial by fire? Should he be benched or should he continue to start to get the green washed off of him?
And same question to you regarding Kenneth Grant.
I know you addressed this to Randy and not me, but personally I want Jonah to keep playing. Burn through those rookie mistakes now. MAYBE he will get better. In the meantime though he only HELPS our draft position.
If you have a pitcher that gives you 6 strong innings, your ace pitcher, and then in the 7th inning, he walks 2 batters, and gives up a 3 run HR and you lose 3-2. Do you say “Oh well, he pitched a really good game, struck out 10 guys and gave up 4 hits?” That’s what playing well for most of the game except the last drive, which determines whether you win or lose is like to me. No one cares that you had 3 TD’s, 256 yards, it’s what you do with the game on the line. Did he play poorly? No, but he played poorly on the important drive of the game, and that counts!
Yeah, I’m coming around to what you’re sayin’, Bro.
But quite honestly, it doesn’t matter any longer… UNLESS Steve Ross keeps both Coach McD and GM Grier. I do NOT see that happening.
Tua will be lucky to survive this season, and even if he does, the new HC/GM will hitch their wagons to a new QB next Draft.
By the way, I DO love baseball analogies when it comes to football, and vice-versa!
With the game on the line, two incompletions and a 15 yard sack on 3rd down. That’s Tua.
Jaelan Phillips got his first sack of the season in the third quarter of the fifth game….
Not good, though he’s been around the ball a lot (pressures). He is responsible for at least 2 of Chubb’s sacks.
M13,
As long as I feel good about the culture in the locker room in that it is supportive and can help grow these rookies and our coaches can do their job, I’d keep playing them as much as possible.
It’s way too early to make any final decisions on any rookie. Keep playing them and let them learn what it’s like to play against guys just as big, strong, fast and athletic as you…and you realize being a pro is more than that.
I think that’s a very good answer. Rockphin and I concur.

No problem, Bro! I tend to agree with ya for both reasons ya stated above.
M – I watch Baker Mayfield every week and that sonofagun is the NFL definition of clutch. He will do whatever is necessary to win, there’s no “Save yourself and live another day”, it’s I’ll do anything to win, and I respect that.
SAME! Son and I had Baker Mayfield as the best QB of his draft. He’s got ice running through his veins… he’s a WINNER.
Just remember that Tua once played that way until the concussions came… and then GM Grier told him to play NOT to get hurt.
M13,
Tua has never played like Baker. Lol
This is TRUE, though I never claimed he had! Baker is just a STUD.
Does that make Baker a ‘studebaker’?
*Studebaker?
Randy, I don’t know about that man! Go back and look at Mayfeild’s year in ’22. It was VERY Tua like. LOL

BBM, that was a lot of picks, but loved the players you chose.
——–
Yeah, though only 2 trade downs, I was in angered post game blow it up mode. lol
I generally (not always!) know what we’ll be needing in the next Draft class after 4 games into the season. However, a new GM/HC could totally warp things if/when they bring in their own guys (players).
Here’s what I’ve got, in no particular order for 2026…
QB
T (yes, BBM is quite correct on this, IMO)
IOL
EDGE
CB
S
I texted with Son yesterday. He’s doing OK. He said he’s been having a rough time of it with family issues but is doing well. He’s just not motivated to get past the log-in issues he’s been having with wordpress to post while the Dolphins suck. He is well though and is “lurking” occasionally. I told him I would let everyone know he is doing OK and that we all shouldn’t worry.
THANK YOU, BROTHER!
It’s good to know Son is doing well in spite of it all. He’s a good man and is respected.
Good to hear
Glad to hear he’s okay and hope his family issues get resolved soon.
Thank you, Rock…good to hear.
I know we are Dolphin-centric here, but has anyone else noticed that the “Great” Baltimore Ravens have the same record as the shitty Dolphins?
It is actually pretty crowded here at 1-4 with 6 other teams. Jet’s are sitting atop the Draft right now at 0-5.
Yeah but 3 of their 4 losses were to the Bills, Lions and Chiefs.
BBM, I just did one with trading our 1st with Vegas and then Dallas and got their 2 1st round picks.
1(15) Ty Simpson-QB, Alabama**(trade down w/ Dallas)
1(18) Sonny Styles-LB, Ohio St.**(trade down w/ Dallas)
2(35) DJ McKinney-CB, Colorado
3(66) Chase Bisontis-OG, Texas A&M
3(68) CJ Daniels-WR, Miami, FL**(trade down w/ Las Vegas)
3(74) Dani Dennis-Sutton-EDGE, Penn St.
4(137) Keon Sabb-SAF, Alabama
5(148) Rod Moore-SAF, Michigan
How does Dennis- Sutton last until 74?
Don’t know, but he should go much earlier. It’s all for fun anyway. Once the combine and individual workouts are done, then we’ll be able to come up with more accurate drafts.
In the same mock draft, they had Mateer (went 104) and Allar (went 146) both still available in the 4th round.
Nice, I would take it.

One of those incompletions most likely would have been intercepted if not for Jaylen Waddle deflecting it
Mahomes with a Tua duck completion
Hey Sonny – come pop in and say hello if you can figure out the login issue. Glad to hear you aiiight!
Do they really think we’re that stupid (rhetorical of course)?
in baseball the strike zone they put up on the screen, when the ball goes thru live off the plate and its called a strike, they move the snapshot ball back to the strike zone
that was a TD, the ball crossed the goal line before it was knocked out, guess some teams just get the calls
holy fn Steve Sax
Right? Lucky Freeman came up with that
yeah
bad throw from 2nd Freeman scoops it to save the game
I think we’re going to win 5 games and pick 8th
its one of those years where there’s lots of bad teams
how time has changed
we talked here about not trading Tua for Lamar, thinking after 2022 season
also about not trading Tua for Lawrence
now I’d trade him and a 2nd for a bag of shit on fire
Pacheco plays with a bad ass attitude, we have no one close
Lawrence with his best Tua on this drive
I sincerely think there’s a disease among Miami Dolphins fans and it’s called Tua Cantdonowronga. I think winning went out the window somehow, good stats are all that matter. I watched at least 3-4 QB’s this weekend come up huge on the last drive of the game and win games for their teams. Here’s the epitome of stupid Dolphins fans though . . .
White Boy Rick
@RichardRaliegh
·
Tua is the only qb in the history of the NFL that is required to have not one but TWO game winning drives
*********************************
This truly sums up the blind Tua love and forgetting the importance of actually winning games. These people are the ones handing out participation trophies. Fucking Drake Maye had a game winning drive! Trevor Lawrence had a game winning drive. Baker Mayfield has one almost every week. Baker doesn’t sit on his laurels after scoring 28 points and then the other team ties it up. He doesn’t say I already got you guys the game winning drive, WTF? No, he goes back out on the field like a fucking leader and goes and gets his team that win! Tua Nocandoa!
Really tired of watching other teams who have QB’s who can throw but also get it done with their legs. Both QB’s were the leading rushers for their teams last night. Mahomes was the leading rusher for the game. Great effort by Lawrence last night. I enjoyed watching Mahomes give up the 99 yard pick 6. He still brought his team back to take the lead but left Lawrence too much time and he pulled out the win.
that’s what I’ve been saying Tua is limited, we can’t win with him, especially now with the bloated contract
Tua’s limitations:
not a run threat
can’t stand in pocket and take a big hit just after he releases
arm strength, which really hurts under pressure and/or on the move
can’t read a D
doesn’t go thru progressions well
everything else compounded by trying not to get hurt
There’s not really much else a QB is required to do. Read the defense, pass well, take hits, run from pressure, throw the ball away. That’s basically it and he does none of it well.
Chargers breathing a sigh of relief and remain in 1st place in their division and travel to play the Dolphins this weekend while the Chiefs are home vs the Lions.
they won’t have that problem this weekend
Chargers traditionally don’t play well in Miami, won’t matter though, similar to playing in Miami in Sept in 2019
Does anyone not want a rebuild, with Grier and MM gone?
Anyone else have the Ravens at 1-4 and the Chiefs at 2-3 through week 5?
People said I was crazy…
Ten of the Chiefs wins last year were by 1 score. It was bound to catch up to them.
@AdamSchefter
After trading Joe Flacco to the Bengals, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are the two QBs remaining on the Browns’ roster. Bailey Zappe is on Cleveland’s practice squad.
The year we get lucky with a late bye week, now just means we will probably have to endure another 6 games and wait until mid November to see changes come. SMH
I have the same feeling and that feeling sucks.
I wish we could fast-forward into Jan/Feb to know who our new HC and GM will be. That way, we could be scouting specific players who the new regime would like via the Draft and FA.
Until then, I’m just waiting for the rest of this NFL season to play out, preparing for the inevitable.
I’ll still be watching college ball, but we have no idea what the new regime would prefer at certain positions.
For instance, what kind of Offensive and Defensive schemes will we use, what kind of QB (pocket passer or scrambler) will they want, etc.
Coach McD is SO done in Miami… as should be GM Grier.
A true leader of men doesn’t wear capri pants with tags on his sneakers. He’s trying to look like ‘one of the guys’.
Coach McD looks like, “I don’t want to grow up, I’m a Toys-R-Us kid”.
Don’t even get me going on those pansy-ass pants that MM has on each week!!!! …And that stupid ass tag on his shoes.
Someone asked at the beginning of the clip who would they have to replace MM in-season and I say who the hell cares. Just get rid of him and Grier’s ass already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for getting my blood pressure to go up, BBM. LOL
No, I do appreciate the clip BBM.
EXACTLY! A leader of men wearing capri pants with stupid ass tags on his sneakers! 😆
Actually, he is smart leaving the tag on the sneakers. He can sell them for more on ebay when he gets fired and out of a job.
In my latest mock draft, I had Miami taking 2 guards to replace Grier’s genius pick of Jonah “2 picks”. Except this time I drafted 2 actual players.
I don’t remember who the other OG was, but I like Chase Bisontis as well.
Yea, it was more taking a jab at Grier. I did draft Bisontis because he would be perfect at LG. It’s his natural position and he has exceled at playing it.
As a later OG pick, like 4th or 5th round is RG Tomas Rimac from VT. He’s on the draft diamonds list. He was the one who allowed ZERO sacks or pressures in 8 straight games while playing at WV. He transferred to VT for this season.
Yes, I will definitely take a look.
“Sources say they expect the owner to target a disciplinarian type of coach with experience in the league, someone in the Dan Quinn mold,” Pauline reported. “One name that has been speculated as a possibility if Mike McDaniel gets canned is ESPN analyst Rex Ryan.”
please god, no
Oh crap, just the mention of his name!!!
It’d better be the normal nonsense that follows this kind of situation.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
“Mike McDaniel could be fired from Miami Dolphins head coaching position within 2-3 weeks according to Tony Pauline.”
This is the timeline I figured as well. Hopefully, we don’t screw this up and go on a mini win streak.
Halloween was one of the dates I posted before the Buffalo game. The 3 dates were all the day after a game with Miami having a longer than usual rest time. Those days being 9/19, 10/31, and 11/17 as the dates I thought were possible.
Yes, MM needs to go. I hate it though because he started off his tenure here with so much promise. BUT if Grier somehow sticks around I’ll be livid.
I hear ya. I might be done then, because doing this all over again with Grier as GM would be insanity.

For whatever it may be worth, I trust ‘Baghdad Bob’ more than I trust Tony Pauline. Pauline is right up there with Jason La Canfora.
If Pauline thinks the ‘toe-jam sucker’ Rex Ryan will be our next HC, I’d bet against as much… and I’m no gambler.
The quote says Ryan is ‘speculated as a possibility’, so that means I’m taking it with a grain of salt regardless of who is reporting it, lol.
BBM is number crunching. Per Spotrac, we are not 100% stuck with Tua next year. He is tradable. I don’t think you get much due to the contract, but when it’s time to move on you get what you can.
Another team who is competing for a playoff spot loses their starting QB, we could trade Tua this year prior to the deadline.
Trading Tua prior to the deadline this year would clear 25.5m in cap. It will also cause a 45.2m dead cap in 2026 putting us way in the negative. BUT, no dead cap on Tua after 2026.
Say right now we have zero cap next year. This trade would put us at -45.2m for 2026. You just carry over the 25.5m in cap we clear in 2025 to 2026. That would leave us at -19.7m. Release Tyreek prior to the new league year and that clears another 23.6m. We would be in the positive by 3.9m.
That is only if you trade him prior to the trade deadline this year where you can clear cap to roll over. Waiting until prior to the start of next league year, you are stuck with the 45.2m dead cap, minus 23.6m from a Tyreek release and you are still down 19.7m you have to find from somewhere.
HOWEVER, you could work a deal with a team to trade Tua post 6/1 in 2026. That would be huge as it would clear 43m in 2026 cap, though won’t have that money to spend until 6/2 of next year and the first wave F/A will be over. Who cares, you’re blowing it up anyway. It will cause a 31.8m dead cap in 2027, but, right now, we are projected to have over 100m in cap in 2027. I don’t see anyone significant we NEED to resign after the 2026 season other than Achane.
We just need to find a team as stupid as the Cleveland Browns. Hmm?
Maybe Gruden can come back? Id take that
That’d be my pick. The guys breakdowns fire me up! 😂😂🤘🤘
wait until the end of season to can MM, as much as I hate him, the interim might actually win some games
if Grier had any balls he’d have traded Tua, instead of giving him all that money
but Tua has “mostly” been a good QB
I would not be happy if they hired Rex Ryan.
I think Gruden would be a fine choice. That guy can coach, and he commands respect
Rex Ryan?!?! NO! Just no.
As for what MM wears, I agree, I think it’s not the best look but if he could coach, have some discipline on this team and WIN…he could dress in a clown suit for all I care.
I’m not sure the NFL or society will allow coaches like Gruden anymore. We’re all too soft.
If they’ll allow him, I’ll take him!
BTW – Less than half of society is soft, Trump IS POTUS, right? lol
as embarrassing as that is

I don’t think Ross will ever consider hiring Chucky. Did you see his emails that he got fired for? Yeah, Ross will not be hiring him.
Forget that he’d be the best HC for this team in decades, he said mean things in his emails. Oy! He wanted Jim Harbaugh, you don’t think he’s said some shit?
There is a huge difference in the public perception between “you don’t think he said some shit” and what was in those e-mails. He would still be a coach in the NFL if everyone didn’t know about those emails.
@AdamSchefter
Chargers officially placed running back Omarion Hampton on injured reserve today. In a corresponding move, they signed running back Kimani Vidal to the active roster from the practice squad, and signed running back Nyheim Hines to the practice squad.
Several of us were high on Kimoni Vidal. He’s a very well-rounded RB, and we’ll face him come Sunday.

We can’t really blame our rookie DL for getting gashed in the run game last week. Grant only played 30 of 70 defensive snaps and Jordan Phillips only played 23 of 70 snaps.
Yup, and Benito Jones has fallen off a cliff this year as well.
Chop only played 21 snaps, 7 were run plays where he made 2 run stops.
I’m getting frustrated with the lack of playing time Chop is getting.
M, IU has 2 really good DB’s who are ball hawks in Safety Amari Ferrell and CB D’Angelo Ponds. Ponds has been hurt. I think missed last 2 games. I hope Ponds is good to go vs Oregon.
Amare Farrell
Just read where Ponds is expected back vs Oregon.
Thanks! I’m going to start watching IU games. That seems like a team riddled with future NFL talent.
MikeE,
Trump and Ryan are both big mouthed pussies….so good comparison.
Ryder is on board with us. Says if you fire MM you have to fire Grier and remove him from the organization. Says it would be insane not to fire both.

Not a lot of “high end” talent but very well coached good talent that will translate to the NFL.
Players to watch from IU who will probably get drafted: QB Mendoza, WR’s Sarratt and Cooper, Safety Amare Farrell, CB D’Angelo Ponds, ILB Aiden Fisher, Center Pat Coogan, OT Carter Smith and RB Roman Hemby.
Alec Ingold has fallen off, IMO. Ever since that concussion. He’s getting 4.8m this year and only playing 37% of snaps. Next year he’s getting 5m.
I know FB’s don’t get that many snaps on O and he plays special teams but not worth paying a FB 5m, IMO.
I have been confused why we pay him so much as well…
fish heads fish heads dyslexic fish heads
eat them up yum
I had to look that up, had no idea what it referenced, lol.
BBM caught two 13″ Mangrove Snapper this morning. Gonna eat them up tonight. Also caught a nice 23″ slot red but already had the snapper in the cooler so I let him go.
I wouldn’t mind cutting/trading Ingold after the season then snatching up IU’s FB/TE Riley Nowakowski, 6’1, 249 as an UDFA to replace Ingold. Nokakowski is a FB name if I ever heard one. lol
The only thing dumber than dropping the ball before crossing the goal line and turning a TD into a TO, IS DOING IT ONE WEEK AFTER ANOTHER DUMBASS DID IT.
Good old Doctor Demento show!
👏👏👏
INJURIES
SIGNINGS
Funny, I think Darren Waller got enough rest in the 2nd half. Anyone disagree?
lol
How bout those Blue Jays 👍
Nice job! Anyone who vanquishes the Yanks is a friend of mine!
That was an added bonus yes 😎
Looks like Phins.com has closed down. I have tried several times from different computers over the past 3 days to check the site and I get unable to connect messages. That sucks. They were my go to source for collecting Dolphin centric stories
Same and same.
I wonder what this weekends game plan will be with a QB who has limited arm strength and limited mobility to begin with coupled with a sore thumb and bad hip.
I also wonder what the over/under will be on the number passes thrown to receivers behind the LOS.
My fear is Ross will go after BB.
Members of Belichick’s coaching staff have already spoken to other schools that are expected to be in CFB Playoff about taking on roles during the postseason. From one coach: “the rats are leaving the ship”.
Some staffers believe a change will come within two weeks
I think Grier and these coaches can’t recognize good talent but also the coaches can’t or at least seem to struggle to bring the best out of these players.
Teair Tart was kicked to the curb by the Dolphins prior to cuts last year because “he wasn’t a scheme fit”. Bullshit, I say. Then replace him with NT Robert Cooper who didn’t make the team nor made last years PS.
Right now, Tart is the #15 ranked DL in the NFL and this list INCLUDES Edge rushers. Not counting Edge rushers, Tart is the #5 DT in the NFL ahead of players like Quinnen Williams, Chris Jones and many others.
Tart is making his return to Miami this weekend starting for the Chargers.
Scheme fit, my ass!
I got that wrong. TEAIR TART IS THE #1 RANKED DT IN THE NFL. Sorry about that. I was looking at the Team Defense ranking. Tart was the top player on the 15th ranked defense but IS the #1 DT in the NFL.
Also, Tart is the #1 DT in the NFL in run defense with a PFF grade of 91.4 through 5 games.
If he is not a scheme fit, then our defensive scheme sucks! Obviously
Rock – I also still use Phins .com, but don’t fret. I can give you an idea what the News Wire would look like

Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera . . .
You forgot PhinPhanatic:
Dolphins Fans Receive Terrible, Unimaginable, Crazy, Dreadful, Appalling, Atrocious, Distressing, Shocking, Hideous, Grim, Nightmarish, Sickening, Disgusting, Dreadful, Alarming, Horrific News
Then the article goes on to site other articles or posts about Rex Ryan or BB becoming the next Dolphins HC.
LOL
Actually, I think he already did one on Rex Ryan.
lol
I wish we’d made a move to fire MM if we are gonna anyway when the Iowa State coach was between contracts. I think he’s a really good young coach. It was probably too early to pull the trigger, but that’s the sort of forward thinking I’d like to see in a FO. I have no idea if he would’ve been open to it, but I would’ve been at his doorstep asking.
^
Randy, we won’t be able to hire a new HC until after Grier gets the Axe and a new GM is in place. Firing MM is a much smaller part of the equation than getting the next GM in place to make the decision on HC.
So Phins . com didn’t pay the domain registration fees and the site address is for sale by the domain holder. I didn’t realize that it used to be Finshaven too
I remember Curt Fennel and his writer Chris Shashaty. I sent him an email asking if he would include us on his Site and he never replied.
MikeE,
I don’t know who those guys are but if they didn’t want to talk to The Hand of FMU then I say, appropriately, F**k ‘Em!
Yeah, our blog outlasted him! Ha!
Hell yeah! We are gluttons for Dolphins disappointment. lol
I see there’s a uproar over the Super Bowl halftime show. Who the heck watches it anyway? LOL It has basically sucked for a long time now. The last 2 performers I remember watching were Prince and then Tom Petty the following year.
Yea, I would say anything after 2011 would be a hard no for me. Though I don’t remember watching the Black Eyed Peas perform in 2011, I do like a couple of their song at least.
I don’t usually watch the Super Bowl Halftime Show either, with rare exception. I love Fergie, so I watched it 2011.
And I definitely watched it in 2022 when it was West Coast (Dr. Dre) as the headliner… I’m of that time period as a producer/artist and persuasion.
I don’t like satanism, so I’ll be boycotting this Bad Bunny at halftime.
And oh yeah… I LOVE Shakira! I wasn’t missing that one for anything.
LOL Yeah, I think I have to go back to 2001 Aerosmith for an even mediocre halftime show. It hasn’t been my thing for a long time.
Katy Perry and Gaga were the last decent shows I can remember.. i m sure I liked Shakira as well but don’t recall it ..We always have a party going so it gets volumes up .. but yeah very underwhelming.. FFS the Grey Cup had Green day a couple years ago …. If we out doing the Super Bowl talent there is an issue
NOTHING would make me happier than a Hall & Oates reunion… followed by an announcement that they’ll be doing a future Halftime Show!!!
I LOVE HALL & OATES
At our Super Bowl parties, for the halftime show the last decade or so we always turn the sound down and play music as contrasting as possible to whatever genre the show is. So for rap, we play country music, for pop or Latin pop we’ll play industrial. You get some fun and hilarious choreography.
I hear ya, man! I’ve done a lot of that in the past, just not during the Halftime Show!
Just synching different music to what’s playing on the TV! It’s GRAND fun! 😆
Yep, always good for a few laughs
Interesting to say the least 👍👍
I hear Turning Point USA is going to put together an alternate halftime show. Didn’t say who or what channel. It was announced by Charlie Kirk’s wife.
It’s true. Hear the same.
Let’s go G-MEN!!!
We want an earlier pick than they will in the ’26 Draft!!!
M13,
Paul Allen is the guy who calls Vikings games. He’s got some national exposure with the Miracle in Minnesota call and stuff. He loves Hall & Oates. He talks about Hall’s podcast or something all the time on his daily radio show on KFAN. You should check it out if you haven’t already if you are a fan.
THANK YOU, Randy! I appreciate that, man.
That “Miracle in Minnesota” involves some QB I like, right? 😉
These kickoff rules are sad.
Very pretty ball by Jaxson Dart. This guy is going to be something in this league, IMO.
AND he runs it in from about 20 yards!!!
RANDY, they’re playing Hall & Oates on the way to commercial break!!!
“You Make My Dreams”, to be specific!
WOW… Jaxson Dart is maturing very quickly. The G-Men just may have their franchise QB. Impressive!
M13,
I’m watching hockey. Opening night for the Wild. A sport that still has hitting!
LOL! All good! Best fortunes for the Wild!
Jets as well tonight 👍👍, also have TNF and Bruins/Hawks on
I wish I could get into hockey, but it’s just not in me. I’ve tried, but I just can’t get there.
It’s all good!
It’s a long commitment 😎
Holy smokes, the Giants scored more than 7 points in the 1st quarter for the first time in 81 games. wow
Sigh…football players nowadays just have no situational awareness. Dart should have slid down inbounds there. He had plenty of time to do it after he got the first.
Dart is yet another young QB that just is slapping us in the head saying “Hey, draft a QB and move on!” Aim higher! That’s going to be my slogan from now on. Stop being happy with stats and find a QB who has the killer instinct and will do whatever it takes to win. Read my article tomorrow!!!
