2025 Season – Game 8 – Dolphins @ Falcons

Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel bring their comedy show on the road for a short trip to Atlanta Georgia to face off against the 3-3 Atlanta Falcons. Despite having only 2 more wins than our hapless Dolphins, these teams aren’t close. The Falcons have defense, and they are 8th in the NFL allowing only 20 points per game. The offense, while not scoring as well as our Dolphins offense (If you can believe that!) features one of the most potent running games in the NFL, with the duo of RB’s Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. These 2 RB’s have combined for 727 yards rushing and 400 yards receiving. While the Dolphins have De’Von Achane, very impressive in his own right with 472 yards rushing and 211 yards receiving, there is no #2 RB, either by design, or failure, you choose, by Mike McDaniel. The RB we traded this year’s 3rd RD pick in 2024, Jaylen Wright, has still yet to register a carry in 2025, despite being a healthy scratch for 2 consecutive weeks and then active last week, but alas, no action for a player who we used a 4th RD pick on as well as trading a future 3rd RD pick for.

With that dysfunction out there, is Stephen Ross, or whomever the hell is making football decisions above GM Chris Grier, going to finally end this mans reign of terror. He has a great smile, but if you didn’t know better, he could be a wolf in sheep’s clothing intending to sabotage this team for years to come. There will be no joy for the Miami Dolphins this season. This team is so bad on both sides of the ball, I’m more than sick of hearing any of the blatting from our QB and our Head Coach, those two tied at the hip, and are like an anchor taking our team down to the deep depths of the Atlantic ocean. I would say the most likely scenario is that neither HC Mike McDaniel are relieved of their jobs until the season’s end. Our salary cap is so screwed next year, and there is dead cap money for years to come.

So what of trading some current players to add draft capital for next season and beyond? The Dolphins recently restructured ILB Jordyn Brooks, one of the better players this season for the Dolphins. Of course, that adds more dead cap money, I mean why would Chris Grier care, he knows he shouldn’t be here anyway. Is it possible Brooks is traded? Bradley Chubb? Jaelan Phillips? Minkah Fitzpatrick? Zach Sieler? I love Sieler, but it looks like he’s not going to live up to his end of his increased salary, and that’s mostly because unlike last season where we lucked into having DL Calais Campbell still available, and play at a level unheard of for a defensive lineman aged 38, this season there is no threat opposite Sieler, and as I feared and warned everyone, without a threat on the other side, Sieler will be neutralized, and he has.

Back to the QB position for a moment. As I mentioned in last week’s article, it’s time to let now backup QB Quinn Ewers get the majority or all of the starters reps in practice. Let Tua start the games, but if he’s playing poorly, much like Brian Flores did with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tua, if Tua plays poorly, pull him at some point probably in the 2nd half and let Ewers get some more playing time. I give not one solitary fuck if Tua doesn’t like that because I actually think Ewers, who probably doesn’t know the playbook nearly as well as Tua, might still give this team a jolt. Watching Tua play is like watching stale bread on the counter accumulate additional mold spores, not fun to watch.

How about a look the WR corps, eh? Well, now #1 WR Jaylen Waddle got all of 4 targets last week. We need to get him the ball because not only did we take at him at #6, but we traded the #12 pick in RD 1 in that draft, as well as a 4th RD in 2021, and then a 1st RD pick in the 2022 Draft. That’s a lot of draft capital for a #2 WR. It’s time to get some value out of him, so feed him the damn ball Tua, whether you can see him or not! It’s also on Mike McDaniel to figure out ways to get him the ball, and he has failed at that. The NFL is well aware this the De’Von Achane show, and it’s testament to how good Achane is that he can be successful in spite of that. Back to Waddle for a sec. In 2021, sans Tyreek Hill, Waddle had 104 receptions and 1015 yards and 6 TD’s. In 2022, Waddle with Tyreek Hill now on the Dolphins, had a decrease in receptions, but a huge increase in yards and yards per reception, getting 1356 yards receiving on 75 catches for a big 18.1 YPR. In 2023 our best offensive season in many years, Waddle caught 72 passes for 1014 yards for 14.1 YPR. It’s dropped significantly since, mostly due to Tua being out and being replaced by street vendors, I mean practice squad guys coming in one week and then starting the next. Last year Waddle finished with 58 catches for 744 yards, not even a decent #2 WR stats. This year through 7 games he has 30 catches for 405 yards. At this rate, Waddle will finish with 72 catches for 983 yards. That’s beyond unacceptable!!

As former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki used to say, “Let’s circle back” to the trade situations. Jaelan Philips is a Free Agent at the end of this season and will be looking for a big contract and we had better not be the team giving him that contract. You have to trade him even for a 7th RD pick. It won’t recoup the 6th RD pick that Grier squandered for retired T Darren Waller who played in parts of 4 games, but what’s the difference, get something for his time here. I’d love to trade Minkah Fitzpatrick, just because. He begged for it last time, this time I’d do it and take whatever I can get, which could be a 6th RD pick or better. Chubb would be the one guy who if I can’t really get anything of value for I’d keep because maybe next year with a new GM and HC and a different vibe here he could help the team. I wouldn’t trade RB jaylen Wright because you couldn’t possible get any vale for him at this point, but I would also mandate to Mumbles McDaniel that he needs to give him “X” amount of carries before the season’s end. Play that man! It’s ridiculous! If some team wants Rasul Dougles or Jack Jones, trade them! They’re not part of the future of this team, and this season, there is no future.

Play hard. That’s about all I’m looking for these days.

  2. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I’m looking for improvement from our rookies and year 2 players

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Unfortunately, we’re not seeing improvement, but rather regression from Chop. That’s a big one! He may be the only pass rushing OLB left on this roster by the end of the season, he better get his ass in gear! If not, don’t be surprised if our first pick is a pass rushing DE/OLB!

  3. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

We need to maintain consistent strength in our incompetence. That is all that matters. Stay the course and don’t pick up any unexpected wins. Let’s go Dolphins!! Get us another L on Sunday!!

The success of this season is going to be determined in a two week stretch from 11-30 to 12-7. We play the Saints and Jest back to back. Lose both of those games and I really love our chances at the #1.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

I’m really hoping on those two. Saints are really bad, probably worse than us. I have to have faith in Tua and McD’s skills. The Jets have to win a game and I’m thinking it will be against us. PLEASE, let it be us.

  4. New Age's avatar New Age says:

    Mike E,

I hate the thought of trading any talent that has a contract past this year but the value may not be there without some contract the other team doesn’t have to eat. Brooks, Jackson, and Minkah all have contracts that end next year but all are good players.

Grier has ruined me. I don’t care about late picks because he always fucks them up. The only great late pick he’s ever had was AVG so of course he lets him go. I’m not wanting anyone traded until I see Grier go so, I’m hoping we are silent during trade time. Tua and McDonalds are gone next year but I still fear he’ll keep Grier.

  5. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

For me, I am eyeing edges who could be there in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

One of the main guys I have kept an eye on is the Stanford transfer to Texas Tech Edge David Bailey, 6’3, 250 pounds, projected 4.52 forty.

He’s having a monster year with 10.5 sacks and 2 FF in 7 games. Last year he had 7 sacks and 5 FF at Stanford.

I fear he is playing his way to be taken before our high 2nd round pick. He looks to be as quick off the snap as Chop.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Others I like in the 2nd/3rd range are R Mason Thomas 6’2 249 Oklahoma, Cashius Howell 6’2 248 Texas A&M, Joshua Josephs 6’3 240 Tennessee.

Not sure on Dennis-Sutton, he seems to have fallen off a bit after having a good season last year. Of course, that would be no reason to write him off. He’s a good player.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

All these guys are seniors so likely to be in the draft.

  6. rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

Jaishawn Barham-LB/Edge, Michigan and Zion Young-DE/Edge, Missouri are 2 others I like, BBM.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I thought Barham was an ILB. My bust.

I almost added Zion Young but in 3 previous seasons, he has not done much. Though, watching him this year, I have been impressed. He seems to play really twitched up. That was from watching him in the Alabama game.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

On Barham, I see him listed as either a Box LB or WLB in Michigan’s 3-4.

      • rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

Yea, I’ve read his best position may be as a SAM-backer and edge rusher, staying close to the line of scrimmage. He can definitely run down the QB anywhere on the field.

  7. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

New Age – All of this is predicated on Grier/McDaniel being GONE at the end of the season, or sooner. As far as I’m concerned, if Grier is still here as GM for next season, I’m gone and then it doesn’t matter to me what happens with this team. I will no longer waste my time on it any longer. That will be the death knell for me in Dolphins fandom. I just can’t do it.

  8. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Mike – Is Reuben Bain going to declare for the draft, and if he does, is he a 4-3 or 3-4 DE only, or can he be a pass rushing OLB?

  9. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

One important thing to consider for next year’s draft is even though we may need a RT, it won’t be as imperative to draft one early because we’re probably not going to have another lefty QB when Tua is gone. While he’s here, IDGAF!

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

      LOL, IDGAF!

I agree on a RT. You could trade down a little and take the best run blocking OT in the draft which is RT Spencer Fano from Utah. I also like RT Jennings Dunker from Iowa as a 3rd rounder but he has been climbing draft boards.

Both are nasty run blockers who are also good in pass pro.

  10. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I keep seeing people mock Reuben Bain to us

he looks like an incredible pass rusher but that pick probably would

require us to trade both Phillips and Chubb

I wouldn’t mind seeing Chop Robinson and Rueben Bain for the next 5 years

    • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

I wish it was someone besides Chop though…

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Piggy, like MikeE said. It depends on what kind of defense we run.

Bain is a 4-3 DE in Miami’s 4-2-5 defense. Bain won’t really fit in a 3-4 as Chop wouldn’t really fit as a 4-3 DE. They are 2 different pieces.

Though, I guess that is old school thinking. The way they run defensive lineups now, who really knows what is a fit other than the DC running it.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I’m kind of assuming if we draft a player like that, we are going to build to be a 3-4

In terms of chop, think of Cam Wake who played both in 3-4 and 4-3

  11. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

What I hate and worry about most right now is this is the PERFECT time for a reset/rebuild and a quick turnaround to be competitive challengers in 2027. Shit needs to hit the fan soon though.

The worry is Ross doesn’t have the balls to fire Grier.

Going by what Kyle Crabbs said yesterday, we could trade Tua, Chubb and Fitzpatrick now or prior to the start of the new league year in 2026. Build up a few draft picks. Also, release Tyreek.

Again, you can’t release Tua prior to 2027. He has to be traded in this scenario.

Based on a projected 298m cap in 2026, this would leave the Dolphins roughly 36m in cap space to sign draft picks and sign some free agents to fill the roster.

That’s not a lot of cap but there still will be a core in place. We would just need to add Edge and depth at Safety, CB and OL through the draft, free agency and signing some of our practice squad guys back on.

  12. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Lol. Being worried about possibly winning 2 more games this year is the most Dolphin fan thing ever. 😂

  13. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Again, ref to my last post trading those 3 players/releasing Tyreek and just counting players left under contract, we would have a core Offense of:

OL – PP, Jonah, Brewer, Daniels and Jackson with backup IOL Meyer.

WR – Waddle, Malik W., Tahj W. and NWI.

RB – Achane, Gordon and Wright.

    TE – Conyers.

    QB – Ewers.

    Defense under contract:

DL – Seiler, Jordan Phillips, Kenneth Grant, Zeek Biggers

    Edge – Chop

    ILB – Brooks, Dodson

CB – Julius Brents, Storm Duck, Jason Marshall, Jason Maitre

    Safety – Trader, Colbert

    ST – K Sanders

Some gaps could be filled by bring back some guys on the PS with futures contracts: WR Theo Wease, WR AJ Henning, TE Rucci, Edge McClendon, CB Isaiah Johnson and Safety Saunders.

  14. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Making those trades would give us 10-11 picks minimum next draft. Draft your QB, some OL, TE, Edge, ILB, CB and Safety. Get all those young guys on the 53 and sign some cheap vets and weather the storm in 2026 because big things will be able to happen in 2027.

After, those 4 trades/cut and players playing out their contracts in 2026 and subtracting contracts of 2026 draftee’s, we would be looking at going into 2027 with around 180m in cap space.

  15. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

All this said, we would really need to hit on some draft picks.

  16. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

    WOMPWAAAAHHHHH

  17. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Grier is so horrible he has fucked this team for years. It is so poorly constructed we are stuck with his terrible picks and wasted future cap. I despise him and his void year contracts.

  18. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Tankathon adjusted their draft board. They now have us taking:

#2 Safety Caleb Downs, Ohio State

    #36 CB Colton Hood, Tennessee

    #67 QB Jayden Maiava, USC

    #74 LB Jaishawn Barham, Michigan

I wonder if having Tua and Jonah on our team made their algorithm pick Maiava. lol

  19. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Dolphins ranked as league’s worst defensive line and second-worst offensive line

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

It’s not like Grier didn’t use a couple of hundred picks on both, we just let our best guys walk, kept the shitty ones and kept drafting more shitty ones. That’s the truth!

      • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I don’t think we drafted shitty ones. What do they expect though playing two rookies most of the time next to each other on the DL. Why they cut Tart last year, I don’t know. He’s been balling for the Chargers this year.

  20. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Can Miami still turn things around? What if Miami wins Sunday would that change your view of this team moving forward?

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

No, they can’t and it wouldn’t change my view. We need to blow it up even if we finish 6-11 which probably won’t happen.

      • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

My “What If” is about them not only having a winning record this year but making the playoffs?

If that happens would that change your opinion?

  21. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Rockphin says: October 24, 2025 at 4:38 pm

Yeah, but the void years are still void and are still accounted for in those years.

    ——-

Not just void years but other dead money as well. Even if they don’t trade Tua, moving on from Tyreek and Chubb will put us close to breaking the NFL record for dead money next year.

  22. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Truth be told there are only two games that the Dolphins had no shot at winning this season the Colts and Browns (Strange Loss) other than that Miami could have and should have won the other games. They would be 5-2 and then many of you would be singing a different tune.

I have no clue what they have started off so poorly but there are signs especially on defense that the tide is potentially turning and if they get hot and start winning would that change the minds of some of you?

  23. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

    ————-

That’s a big what if though. I guess it would.

  25. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Markey – None of that is happening. They’re not winning enough games to make the playoffs, although I suppose in theory they could win enough games to give the next GM, Head Coach and QB a worse pick. I think you know that in you heart Markey, you just can’t say it. It’s OK, I’m here to say it for you! 🙂

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

LOL, I was just talking about Barham today. Minus Maiava, I actually like this mock. Give me Chase Bisontis-OG, Texas A&M at #67 and that would be better. I don’t think Caleb will go #2, but I do believe he’s a top 10 talent in this draft. I think he’s better than Fitzpatrick when he entered the draft and we drafted him pretty high.

  34. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Well, I watched North Texas at Charlotte to check out redshirt freshman QB Drew Mestemaker.

Yeah, Charlotte came into the game at 1-6, but I have to say I came away impressed. The kid has some arm talent, strong arm also.

Keeping in mind the kid never started a varsity HS game. In 2024, he walked on to the team with no HS tape. He threw the ball a few times for coaches and they gave him a spot on the roster. He was the #5 QB on the roster so he redshirted. By the end of the 2024 season he worked his way up to the #2 QB spot. The #1 QB left and hit the transfer portal so Mestemaker started his first ever college game in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl since playing JV football. He went 26-41 for 393 yards, 2 TD’s, 2 INT’s and 55 yards rushing with 1 TD in a 30-28 loss.

Tonight, he missed on just 2 passes I saw and threw a bad pick in the red zone where he didn’t see the LB. He also fumbled on a sack. That was the bad.

The good, despite receivers dropping 4 passes, Mestemaker went 37-49 for 608 yards, 4 TD’s and 1 INT.

The 608 yards passing not only broke the school record but also broke the single game passing record for the American Conference set by Dillon Gabriel while at UCF.

I am not going to say he is special. He has a lot to work on. Where he came from to where he is now is impressive though.

Will be interesting to see if he enters the transfer portal or not.

Some people will ALWAYS be in their feelings regarding the premature deaths of their faves/heroes of music… whether it be Elvis, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, Tupac, Kurt Cobain, Prince, etc, etc.

For me? It’s Shock G… the most underrated producer since the late 80s and into the 90s.

I grew up on Digital Underground’s first album ‘Sex Packets’ as a young teen, and I’m still a ‘Digi’, as it’s called.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Yes, I remember when Tupac was just a roadie doing backup dances for Shock G’s Digital Underground. I knew of Tupac well ahead of the rest of the world.

Shock G was the one who took the chance on Tupac, and the rest is — as they say — history.

  36. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    BBM,

What are your current thoughts on John Mateer?

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Do you feel Mateer has fallen off a bit due to now being in the SEC, or do ya feel his hand injury is complicating his production?

We know he can run! 826 rushing yards last season with 15 TDs via the ground.

He’s just not replicating what he did last season at Washington State.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I think he has taken too many hits and it’s wearing on him. I’m also not crazy about his throwing motion. He is tough as nails and that I like. We will see what he and Oklahoma are made of. Their final 5 games are vs #8 Ole Miss, at #17 Tennessee, at #4 Alabama, vs #15 Missouri and vs #20 LSU.

I don’t think any other team has a harder road to the college playoffs.

  37. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Wow! Looks like Sonny’s favorite QB Kirk Cousins will be playing for the Falcons on Sunday against the Dolphins due to the Michael Penix injury

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Before he gets fired Mike McDaniel will screw the Dolphins even more by winning games now, and dropping us in the draft.

  38. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

You like that Kirk Cousins coming back!

Instead of score predictions, we should predict how many total yards #7 will get. I say 215.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I have Bijan Robinson in FF, I hope he has a record setting day! Makes the loss much more tolerable, although to be honest, I’m enjoying the carnage!

  39. rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

GO Vanderbilt, GO Georgia Tech, Go Indiana. Gotta love college football.

Of course, I also have to say GO VOLS!!!!!!!

  40. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

it makes me so irrationally emotional. I know I shouldn’t be as worked up about shit, especially after predicting it for two seasons, but I am raging about us talking about draft picks in October

wow, still feeling helpless about what might happen.
    it’s an unhealthy relationship.

  41. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

You know guys, I kind of feel that we’re not really as bad as we think we are, or rather we have the potential to be not as bad. We’re doing foolish things like starting to rookies next to each other on the defensive line Which makes both look worse than they are But next year they will be stronger and have more experience and their potential may shine Especially if they take it too hard that the league thinks they are the worst

Now this is important in my thinking because it may lend to a much quicker turnaround once new leadership is in place. We may not have picked the wrong guys, but rather at the wrong time

at least that’s my Foolish hope. The guys he picked were of prototypical size Even that awful offensive guard might turn into a stud with a few years polishing The left tackle already looks serviceable

in a few years, we might be considerably better.

  42. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Rich, yeah, IU’s defense is balling! I really like ILB Aiden Fisher. I hope his injury isn’t that bad. Plus, IU’s DT/NT Tucker is a beast.

  43. rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

I hate to say it, but I’m taking Mateer off my draft QB list. He needs to come up big in big games and I just don’t see “it”.

Dante Moore, Fernando Mendoza, and Ty Simpson have all come up big this year and those are my 3 guys right now at QB.

  44. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Any Byrum Brown fans out there? He’s the senior QB of USF. 6’3″, 231, he can pass, and he can run. Wish his completion % was higher than 63.4%, but he could be a sleeper pick at QB on day 3 of the ’26 Draft.

  45. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I agree on Mateer, he needs to stay in school.

  46. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

My QB on day 3 (early day 3) is Haynes King from GT, 6’3, 215 who can run as well. I said this before, I don’t know why this guy does not get more love. He’s got a good release, arm strength and accuracy.

    Today, he went 25-31 for 304 with 3 TD’s, 0 INT’s and ran 12 carries for 91 yards and 2 TD’s vs Syracuse.

He’s got good mobility in the pocket also. He’s only been sacked 4 times in 7 games.

    • rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

To be honest, if the big 3 either stay in school or are taken before we pick, I think Haynes King would be an excellent day 3 pick. Hey, Brady went on day 3, so anything is possible with finding a possible franchise QB.

How many freaking drops is Ryan Williams gonna have for Bama.

    • rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

Touchdown Carolina!!! Good, Alabama deserved that. Horrible play calling on the last drive including a dropped pass on 4th down.

  48. rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

Well, they finally lined up the TE next to Proctor and that was a nice drive to tie it up. Ty Simpson was clutch…

    • rich0322's avatar rich0322 says:

Bama wins despite the OL having their asses handed to them for the first 50 mins and several drops by the Alabama receivers. Ty wasn’t perfect, but was clutch in the 4th quarter.

No thanks on Proctor at OT. The guy is getting beat constantly by the speed rush

I only thought about drafting him to move into LG. Not worth a high 1st round pick though.

  51. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Dante Moore is out in my top QBs conversation. Looking at PSU now, it wasn’t that amazing of an accomplishment, and he’s looked really raw after that game. I think he needs a lot more seasoning. Simpson and Mendoza top my list with both having some question marks and good points.

Simpson tops my list because he’s played better teams, The Big Ten this year is just as good up top but overall weaker than the SEC. Simpson has run a gauntlet and while he’s had some bad plays and a couple bad games, he’s been consistently good. No one has a harder schedule than a SEC team and that Bama squad has the tools to be champs this year. He doesn’t have enough experience though. He’d get eaten alive in the NFL.

Mendoza has the experience I really like in the NFL draft. 3+ year starters just adjust better to the NFL. He’s played solidly but most of his TDs were in a 3-game stretch against two lower division teams and a decent at best Illini squad. He had a solid game against Oregon but their schedule is pretty weak so far. I’ll learn a lot more when they play….OSU in the B10 champ game because they have no more good teams to play. Then we’ll see playoff Mendoza and what that entails. He might take the top spot in the end.

Honestly, I really don’t like the options this year and hope Moore, Simpson, and Sellers go back for one more year. All of them could use more experience. That leaves Mendoza and guys that aren’t really good enough.

Chop will be fine. The entire defense (minus brooks) has sucked this season. The coaching on both sides of the ball has been nothing short of atrocious.

  53. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Thanks BBMike! He looks like he can play in a few different fronts, as a 3-4 OLB, 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DE. He’d probably have his best impact as a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 DE. He might have to add a little weight for 3-4 DE but he may be maxed out already, not sure.

  54. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

You know what, Fuck the Dolphins! Now QB Quinn Ewers is the Emergency 3rd QB and Zach Wilson is the backup. I really fucking hate this team, they run this team like shit! They should be getting Ewers more reps, and now they’re going backwards. Tua was probably insulted and cried to Mike McDaniel not to put the white guy in who can throw further and more accurately than him even while he’s got a defender in his face and threw it off his back foot. Team dysfunction always present under Grier and McDaniel

Kevin Harlan on the call today for the Phins. He just reported that Tua has swelling in his left eye (don’t know how it occurred), and he’ll be wearing a visor today for the first time in his NFL career.

I wouldn’t have even cared if Tua threw a screen pass to Julian Hill for a loss of 5 yards, I’d have just loved to hear Harlan say, “HE’S GOT HILL!” one last time.
