A home game in Madrid! Awesome! We may actually have a home team advantage with more Dolphins fans than Commanders fans in Madrid than we would at home at Hard Rock, although it’s possible there are delusional fans who think because we beat the Bills that we’re on our way to the Super Bowl. Dolphins fans are some of the flip-floppiest people I’ve ever seen. If you’re insulted by this, then stop fucking flip-flopping! We hit rock bottom losing to the Browns and everyone, even the most absurd Tua stans jump of his wood. Now they’re beating their chest on top of the Panorama Tower in Miami like Tua is Tom Brady in his prime. Besides just gushing about Tua, they’re on the crazy train that this team is ready to make their move and defeat all comers and vanquish the AFC all the way to the Superbowl.
OK, let’s just gather ourselves for a minute. This is not a good roster, and yes, we’re probably going to beat the Comandantes en Madrid porque Los Comandantes suck way worse than our team currently does. The Commanders have lost 5 in a row, the last 4 by more than 20 points in each game. Without QB Jayden Daniels, the Commanders are lost. Marcus Mariota actually has a BETTER passer rating than Tua Tagovailoa, 91.9 vs 87.6. Put that in your Tua cigar and smoke it! There are just so many Tua fans on X that are beyond delusional. Tua is irrelevant, and the only reason at all he may return as the starting QB next season is because of his ungodly salary and cap hit. No one is trading for him, although I wish like hell someone would. Tua’s salary is also the main reason why the Dolphins may waste yet another season by retaining HC Mike McDaniel. That’s a big slap in the face to all Dolphins, even you Tua stans.
There’s a “Report Card” circulating around X that has the Dolphins as A+ according to NFL players. #1 in the NFL to the players in every single category.
Coach A+
Owner A+
Food A+
Travel A+
Weight Room A+
Treatment of family (Players families) A+
You know what? That’s great to see, it really. You know what else though? It’s time to get A+ rating from the fans by becoming a legit contender!
STEP 1 – At the end of the season, FIRE MIKE McDANIEL!!!
STEP 2 – Before the season ends, give QB Quinn Ewers playing time, preferably at least 3 games or more so you can see if this kid translates to a decent backup with starter potential or just a 3rd string QB that doesn’t need to make the 53 man next season
STEP 3 – While all this is happening, Tom Garfinkle and everyone who is qualified in the Dolphins Front Office should be researching, scouring the NFL to find our next GM. Once that list is finalized, they should begin interviewing these candidates so we have our new GM in place as quickly as possible to handle all the necessary steps to be ready for off season activities such as roster management and assessment, preparation for the 2026 Draft and anything else that needs to be done to be ready for next season
STEP 4 – Thank Champ Kelly for taking over mid season but let him know at the end of this season, his job is done and if he’d like to return here to Miami, it will be in a different capacity.
So, back to Madrid, where our Dolphins most likely will be 4-7 at around 1PM EST, or 10AM on the West Coast. I know some people are going to get excited that we’re BACK, and ready to be a Wild Card spoiler in the AFC. We might just see RT Austin Jackson and RG James Daniels on the field, and is it possible that with those 2, the offensive line will be better and complete? Sure, it’s possible, but it’s also possible those 2 are rusty, especially Daniels who missed tons of time after going out for the season with an achilles injury for Pittsburgh Week 4 of 2024. He played a couple of snaps for us before going out on IR (Imagine that??) in Week 1, so that makes for a lot of missed playing time and a lot of rust to shake off. We’ll have to wait and see. Austin Jackson was limited in practice so don’t expect him to play and James Daniels has yet to practice.
Los Comandantes feature a defense worse than ours, allowing 28 PPG good for 29th out of 32. Our Dolphins have a defensive surge lately and have moved up to #24. Hard to believe that the Commanders with the combo of Jayden Daniels/Marcus Mariota are actually ranked better than our Tua led Dolphins, Los Comandantes are #22 at 22.3 PPG while our Achane’s are at 25 at 21.0 PPG. Can you just imagine this offense w/o De’Von Achane? He’s the most impactful RB in the NFL right now outside of the Colts Jonathan Taylor. Achane has 785 rushing yards with a ridiculous 6.6 YPC and 5 rushing TD’s, and has an additional 325 yards receiving and 4 TD’s. He’s unbelievable, and he will an UFA at the end of next season unless we take of our 25 year old superstar next season. Thankfully, Grier isn’t here to tell Achane he’s “Earned the right to become a Free Agent”. Ugh!
I’m not going to discuss the 2 anchors, Former GM Chris Grier and current Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa. They are the culprits for the Cap Hell this team will be in for the ’26 season and beyond until all that DEAD CAP MONEY is gone from Grier restructuring deals and pushing money owed to the future when he’s smoking cuban cigars watching the games from his comfortable couch. If he gets another NFL executive job it will NEVER be as a GM, not by any NFL Owner with half a brain or more anyway. Tua will almost certainly be here in 2026, but once again, that doesn’t mean he has to be the starting QB if we have someone else worthy of replacing him. Tua is getting paid whether he starts or sits, and if you’re like me, you probably can’t wait for that show to end. No matter how far we get this season, I’d bet that when the chips are down as to whether we make the playoffs or not, good ole Tua will be there to let us all down, you watch!
FIND A GM, FIRE McDANIEL, PLAY QUINN EWERS!!!!

Headed to Spain- let’s go Dolphins!
You’re going to the game?
yes sir!
Bri – Have a fantastic time! I guess you want the Fins to win so I’ll root for a great game from us this week!
haha! thanks Mike. I’m adopting some of your philosophies when for to the Fest: a win would be great, but I’m going to have a good time regardless. I do like our chances with Daniels and McClaurin and Payne out.
Thank you, Mike E.!
Nothing has changed for me regarding this team and what they do the rest of the season.
I’m glad Grier and the scouting department leaders are gone. It’s time for a FRESH start in building the Football operations/component of Ross’ businesses.
I wish Tua could’ve earned his right to free agency last year…lol!
That’s awesome, BinNY! Enjoy!!!
Thanks Krishna!
You are flawed in your thinking. The Dolphins’ O-Line has been missing two starters since week one, and they are now coming back. Our defense was weakened when they had to get rid of some quality veteran players and replace them with rookies who naturally took time to develop. Nobody is saying they are SB-bound, but they are better than their record and now seem to be hitting their stride.
The goal of any fan would be to hope for the best for their team, and many of you have lost that goal and are more concerned about what “YOU” think is best for this team, more than anything else.
“The goal of any fan would be to hope for the best for their team, and many of you have lost that goal and are more concerned about what “YOU” think is best for this team, more than anything else.”
——————–
So other fans are more concerned about what THEY think is best for the team instead of what YOU think is best for the team. How dare they! lol
Winning is what I think is best for the team
Some fans take the narrow view, some fans take the wider view. Both are valid IMO.
Would you rather win 8 games now and miss out on the next Brady or Manning? Or win 3 games now and win multiple SBs for the next decade? Who is the better fan in that scenario?
IMO, the only view that isn’t valid is the ‘I’m a better fan than you because what I think is right and what you think is wrong’ viewpoint.
That is just arrogance; and as anyone will tell you, I am the soul of humility.
I will say this markeyh….
It is about what YOU and I think as WE are the fans.
I became a Dolphins’ fan when our family moved to Miami in 1966….a long-time fan like you. Then, they hired Don Shula. I gushed as a kid, going to the games and sitting in endzone nose bleed seats…best and loudest seats ever stomping on the metal platform and seeing Flipper. Lmao…
And, what I think is best for this team after watching them for almost 60 years, is that Grier, his scouting department/personnel evaluators/HC searches/team building visions were not designed, planned or built for sustainability or to be perennial playoff contenders. 10 years is enough time to figure this shit out, especially since he’s been here for 25, I say WTF man?!
The HC Grier picked is in over his head, stubborn as fuck, a slow learner, a terrible game/time manager, hurts the team more than he helps/coaches the team, doesn’t hold players accountable and is weak, and it’s what I think as a fan….lol.
The team has talent; I love, for whatever reason, we went young this draft WITHOUT going after expensive, has-been FA’s. The evaluation of this draft to date is premature and/or a mixed bag in my opinion. You need to let this draft class play out for at least a year or so or more (not too much more…lol). However, I don’t see any value in moving up the last draft for the OL picked. That’s just bone-headed to me.
We need to get out of CAP hell even though some might believe you can always kick the can down the road….until you can’t…lol. The team seems to be moving or can move in that direction, i.e., out of CAP hell after next year (I believe, but a lot of smarter people than me, know better).
I hate losing. And, all this team has done for many years is lose. It wasn’t always this way!!! I do remember that….lol.
It’s time for a change, top to bottom. Garfinkel has a job to do and I hope he does it well!!!
It’s what I think as a Dolphins’ fan.
If the Dolphins win this week, great. If they lose, great.
I’m looking toward the future success of the only team in all of sports that I follow.
When you stop rooting for the team to win and start rooting against winning, that to me is unacceptable, no matter the circumstances.
That’s great you keep your focus on the short term. More power to ya.
I want to build a sustained organization of excellence, and if losing a few more games this year will help to achieve that goal sooner, then I’ll take that route.
What makes you so sure losing games will somehow bring future success?
Nothing is for sure. This is all about opinion. 5 years ago, I would still be rooting for us to potentially run the table and make the playoffs. But we’re finally cleaning out the top of the organization and hopefully will build a better one. I’d like to start with high draft picks. Admittedly that doesn’t guarantee anything. Especially with the way this buffoon owner operates. But I am hoping he’ll get it right with the GM and we can start the process of building a better Dolphins.
What I do believe wholeheartedly is this team has no shot to compete, isn’t capable of running the table as they currently are, and a couple of extra wins will just hurt our draft stock.
If you think they can run the table and make the playoff, I absolutely respect that and understand you rooting for them week in and week out, draft position be damned.
That is how I roll I want wins. I want this team to succeed and what actually turned me around was the way they beat Buffalo last week.
It open my eyes to the youth movement that appears to be working
And I will say, even though I tell myself I want to lose out, during the game I can’t help but root for them to win and my heart cheers the win even though my brain says it hurts us in the long run.
Me too LOL!
I can’t root against them even if I try to when the game is live!
We’re all fans, bro. We all want to win. Sometimes we just disagree on how to get there; often very strenuously, lol.
I am totally aware of that and can accept and even listen to different viewpoints, but I also will agree to disagree. We all want the same thing and when we trying to get it back to the way it used to be we’ll have something else to argue about.
LOL
Yes I am more concerned with what “I” think than what “YOU” feel. YOU are wrong IMO
Ditto
Miguel de la E,
Stellar write, but I must ask… what does Brazil have anything to do with us playing in Spain, Bro? Am I missing something?
You know what is bizarre? My wife has had to correct me like 5 times this season. I keep saying we’re playing in Brazil and she’s like “um, no, dear, it’s still Spain…”
I find it odd Mike made the same mistake.
That is bizarre! LOL
I mean, I know where Madrid is, but for some reason I have it in my head we’re playing in Brazil, lol.
Beat me to it…pointing out that Madrid is in Spain not Brazil

That is where you are mistaken, Chris Grier has been the TOTAL GM since 2018, 7 years, and in these 7 years, he made a good decision to go for it, and I have no issues with that decision, even though it did not work.
Now, this team is one of the youngest teams in the NFL, and they seem to be coming into their own and seem to be building something.
I will see how the rest of the season pans out, but I am rooting for them to win.
As for Tua, despite some of his limitations, he still provides this team the best chance to win, and if he is given proper protection, he is good enough to win more than lose games for Miami.
FFS…The team is young because Grief put them cap hell!
Either way, it’s easy to navigate through if they stick with building through the draft.
I have no problem always hoping we win games and still understand the logic of losing games to improve the team long term. Frankly, winning 8 games instead of 4 isn’t going to mean much to me if I’m a player. 8 wins still sucks, and this team is still a mess. No player is doing summersaults at the end of the year after winning a few more games but still sucking. I can hold two ideas in my head at once. It’s good to win…yes…and losing can be good for the long term success of the team to get better draft picks and/or force a change in management that may not be working.
For the life of me, I can never understand trying to tell someone how to be a fan or what a fan should be. It’s like dealing with delusional people. Never argue with them about their delusions. Go with it. Lol
I’m not a fan of MM but I will give him credit for how he’s designed and implemented his running game. He does some good stuff. I’m seeing some steps forward.
MM is not HC material, but he is a good offensive mind and has put together a good staff, though he has failed to rely on them like he should. He should have turned over the play-calling a long time ago.
Brian, that is so cool! I have wanted to go back to Spain. I had seriously thought about going to this game when the schedule came out. BBM Jealous.
I haven’t been back there since 87′ when 80’s western influence was in full swing. All the women were wearing short, short skirts with black fishnet stockings. It was an amazing time.
I don’t mind winning a few games. It’s not going to affect the draft value really. After Mendoza, we could get as good a player at #20 as we could at #7. I think we end up picking around 12 or 13 which will be a good spot for any position really.
Yeah, but we could also TRADE BACK to 12 or 13 and pick up another 1st or 2nd round pick for NEXT season.
MikeE, did you have a brain fart? you reference our “Game in Brazil” several times. Do you mean the game in SPAIN?
Randy, MM has. I just wish he had implemented what he is doing the last couple games with Brunskill and some other stuff much sooner.
Maybe he did come up with it sooner, but he is so anal with his system, he didn’t start using it until they practiced for several weeks and executed it well.
Yeah, or, I don’t know, get a fucking Tight end that can block and catch?
We got that but in 2 different players. lol
Although Brunskill played TE in college. It would be a cool twist if they actually threw the ball to him on one of these goal to go plays.
^
You guys need to give Mike E a break on the Brazil thing. He’s already admitted it takes 2 hands to brush his teeth….leave him be! 😁
LMAO!!
LOL!! Oh, that is fantastic!
🤣
So Chubb got off of concussion protocol and then hurt his foot in practice today. He is questionable for Sunday’s game now.
I thought it was Chubb. See below.
Ooops, yeah it was Chop on protocol. Duh!
INJURIES
Sorry – Guys, rushed the article out before I went to the Dentist. Oh man am I hurting. Not good. I forgot the game is was in Madrid, I had originally wrote Brazil
It’s okay, Herd set us straight.
INJURIES
LOL @ Herd! So I’m guessing you just use one hand then? lol
There have been NFL games in Brazil, am I right?
Yes
Markey – I must have said it now a hundred times. The reason I don’t want us winning too many games should be the same reason you don’t want us to. If that makes Ross think that MM is the right guy for this team, and then we stay with our interim GM doing the drafting, what exactly are we drafting for? Tua and Mike McDaniel’s team? Do you not see the problem with that? That will set us back another 2 seasons if that’s the case. Comprende mi amigo?
The truth is, if rumors are true that the owner likes Mike McDaniel, then it’s a moot point; he will be back next year, and they will use getting rid of Grier as a way to appease a disgruntled fan base.
Tua’s contract is also limiting their options for next season, so I can see them keeping everything the same for next season, including the interim GM, JMHO.
Kong – Thanks for the Brazil/Madrid confusion! Glad I’m not the only one, even if you’re just a giant ape. lol
lol, I feel like maybe we were supposed to play in Brazil at some point or originally we were told Brazil. Or maybe we’re just old and forget things…
Well, I know I AM old, but you’re still a pupper!, or a baby ape, or whatever a baby ape is called. lol
This off season they announced that the first game ever would be played in Brazil. They also reported (separately) that in the international division of teams / countries that Brazil would be a “Dolphins Country”
and then they proceeded to ignore that and schedule the Dolphins in Spain.
lol @ Mike
Thanks, Rock. I bet that is why I had Brazil stuck in my head this season…at least that is what I’ll go with, lol.
Not a bad ACC matchup tonight to watch with Clemson at #20 Louisville on ESPN. Clemson QB Cade Klubnik was considered by some a preseason QB1 for next draft. He has now dropped on all draft boards, mostly to a very late 2nd round pick to a late 4th round pick.
He would be one I would still consider with our early 4th or the 3rd we get from the Eagles.
Well, I’m glad MikeE didn’t go back and edit the article and then come on here and act like it was never written that way, like he has done to me in the past….LOL
He couldn’t, too many of us had seen the body by then…
Dave Hyde agress:
It’s timely to discuss how this happened with tackle Laremy Tunsil, whose trade started this Tank Era, on the other side of the field Sunday. It’s necessary for the Dolphins to talk about this era’s full failure, too, considering so many of those involved look to be involved in the coming Rebuild: The Sequel. Team owner Steve Ross. President Tom Garfinkel. Vice President of Salary Cap Brandon Shore. Possibly coach Mike McDaniel.
2. The Tunsil trade and its misunderstood aftermath. It delivered two first- and one second-round draft picks at its core. The first-rounders were smartly traded again by Grier, the picks multiplying. It requires a tree with various branches to fully explain by now.
But getting a treasure chest of picks was just half the trade. The other half was turning them into players. Here’s who Grier drafted with those draft picks: Noah Igbinoghene, Solomon Kindley, Jaylen Waddle, Jevon Holland, Channing Tindall, Erik Ezukanma and Dante Trader Jr.
FIRE GRIER NOW!! oh, wait….
That was just a reflex at this point…
Still, stop here, and the Tunsil trade is decent for all the possibility it brought. But you can’t stop here. You have to factor in the cost of replacing Tunsil, too. He’s a five-time Pro Bowl tackle over the past six seasons. All those picks and all those names brought three Pro Bowl seasons — two by Hill, one by Chubb. That’s it.
Here’s the tab for replacing Tunsil: a first-round pick on Austin Jackson; second- and third-round picks on Liam Eichenberg; an $87.5 million deal to sign Terron Armstead; and, finally, a second-round pick on Patrick Paul.
That’s a full draft. Hill’s cost was another full draft. Chubb (essentially a first-round pick) and cornerback Jalen Ramsey (a third-round pick), cost the meat of a third draft and helped put the Dolphins in salary-cap hell.
Rock – I would never ever do that! 😉
Rock – OK, so now I feel I little better about the Brazil thing. My mouth is fucking killing me, but that makes my brain feel better
There is also a decent Big Ten game on tonight depending which Minnesota team shows up. Seems like the Golden Gophers put up a good fight or get blown out.
6-3 Minnesota at #10 Oregon 8pm (central) on FOX
There are several players on Oregon we have been watching for the draft but there are 2 on Minnesota to keep an eye on:
DL/DE Anthony Smith, 6’6, 285, 8.5 sacks so far this season. Not sure if he will be a fit. Then again, we don’t really know who our DC will be next year.
Safety John Nestor, 6’1, 205, 3 INT’s. Though, he may not enter the next draft.
BBM gotta give a shout out to Pensacola’s University of West Florida sitting currently at 9-0 and ranked #3 in the nation in NCAA Div II football.

Right with ya, Rockphin. And on top of that, we prematurely extended both ‘Reek and Ramsey, Steve Ross cost us a 1st and 3rd round pick for tampering, should have traded for Roquan Smith (would have cost a 2nd rounder) instead of Bradley Chubb (cost us a 1st rounder), and Capri McD isn’t a leader of men.
The whole matter post the Tunsil trade was an exercise of absolute buffoonery. And NOBODY can tell me that Steve Ross wasn’t pressuring to WIN NOW as he’s getting up there in age.
That does NOT excuse all of General Grief’s decisions, rather… it points right back at the owner.
What I mean is that Ross is the one who hired General Grief, and in turn, General Grief hired Capri McD.
As if Grief hadn’t already done enough mismanagement, Ross pressuring him to WIN NOW was the last nail in the coffin.
The last nail in the coffin towards any kind of success on the field for our Miami Dolphins.
This team has been mismanaged for many, many years… and it begins and ends with the owner.
Tom Garfinkel seems to be the Teflon Tom in all of this

Tom Garfinkel seems to be the Teflon Tom in all of this
———
Interesting fact…
Brian,
Not forever, but long enough. Garfinkel joined us in 2013.
In other words, he wasn’t a HWH hire… nor was he a Tuna hire.
Your point is well taken, regardless.
Brian,
Now you have me curious! I wonder if there’s any connection between King Karl and Tom Garfinkel…
I remember him bouncing around in different sports before he came to us. Baseball was one of them for sure.
Correct
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Garfinkel
There is… they worked together before deciding to hire Dennis Hickey (Silver Fox) as our GM.
In 2014, King Carl was supposed to be OUT of any decision-making come the Miami Dolphins as an advisor to Steve Ross.
At least as I recall.
Friday Night Jams!
I’ve had the chorus of this song in my head for like 30+ years, forgetting the actual lyrics of the chorus and I never knew the group who made it. Made it difficult to find.
Well OMGosh, I finally heard it for the first time in like 30+ years! I LOVE THIS SONG! Brings me back to a happy, happy place!
so we’ve established Mike is bilingui, what else happened today🤣
Isn’t Garfi kel an administrator l… Flores he have anything to do with personnel?
Markey – I think Ross will likely not love MM if we win 5 -7 games. If we win 8 or more, it’s a toss up. I guess we’re going to have to wait and see how it all turns out. What do you think?
I think that if what is being reported is true, that Ross likes McDaniel than Mike McDaniel is back next year. For whatever reason, he has made up his mind that it was only a Chris Grier issue that would suffice for now.
Here’s my one song for the night. Someone play it for Tua or any older vet.
You have to follow NF to fully understand his music and videos.
This is from a album NF just dropped yesterday, I think.
I haven’t heard this one in forever…
Outstanding singer and a very good looking woman. JMO, but I could never get past her nose-booger attached by a chain to her ear… and her hair sucked. Again, JMO… to each their own.
LOVE this song, though!
One more, and I LOVE this one as well… I’m obviously on an early 90s kick…
Lol at the autocorrect….

Tom Garfinkel seems to be the Teflon Tom in all of this
And for good reason. He’s the one who is responsible for all those eight pluses the team gets every year. He’s not in charge of football operations. He runs the business side and does a hell of a good job
as a fan, I really hang my hat on all of those 8 plusses!
witness and despair:
Oregon QB Dante Moore, one of the most highly-touted passers in college football, is now expected to return to school
dammit, got locked out of the box
Anyway, it looks like we are going to be playing Tua Next year because of more than just his salary
only a couple first round graded QBs coming out next year.
people are saying this about a lot of QBs
but I’m not sure it’s reliable right now
The deadline to declare is 1/15/26
so players gave a lot of time to decide
actually the deadline to opt out of the draft is 2/7 – so players can probably declarw and then opt out for a few weeks (which would be weird)
bit the point is – players have a lot of time left to decide
it’s very possible he’s leaving hard to returning to school but I would take my time to decide
I am hoping that Moore, Sellers, Mendoza and Simpson all declare
if that happens, I think the Dolphins should seriously consider a QB in the first
Mike McDaniel is the best HC to also coach Tua, who it is hard to see Miami moving on from next season, so I see them both back, possibly with the current interim GM, for the 2026 season.
Rock, that is the way this next draft is shaping up with QB’s. My guess is Ty Simpson will stay also. Sellers isn’t ready, Mateer either. I think 2027 will shape up to be a good QB class.
I say we take one late 3rd to 5th round. Let him battle it out with Ewers to be #2. Move on from Tua in 2027 and draft another QB early.
Right now, BBM looking at taking the best OT, Edge or CB with our first pick in 2026 and leaning toward RT Spencer Fano, Edge David Bailey or CB Mansoor Delane with a pick in the #10 to #15 range.
There’s a lot less incentive than there used to be to come out early
but, it’s gonna be a crowded QB class next year of those guys stay in school
there always a shot that some one who’s not on the radar now (like a Tayler Green) elevates themselves to a top prospect
and maybe what has happened to Nussmeier is a cautionary tale
it’s a bit risky to stay in school if you know you are going to be a first rounder
Markeyh, the writing isn’t on the wall but we are in a conundrum for 2026.
The 2026 QB draft class not looking good. We most likely won’t be picking in the top 10. We are in 2026 cap hell. We are tied to Tua’s contract for 2026 outside of a miracle trade.
The only reasonable thing that can be done is address the OL, Edge and secondary in this next draft. Sprinkle in a TE, ILB and a big physical WR prospect.
If MM is still here, he should have absolutely NO say in the draft. In fact, just make him stay home.
I 100% agree!!!
if we are picking middle of the pack and there are no QBs to choose – I really hope that Kenyon Sadiq is on our radar
Keeping things in perspective???
Does he look the part to you?
If yes, is your goal for him to have a 9-8 record year to year?
He’s not the same QB he was in 2023, his accuracy got worse
Tua still can’t read his progressions, its 1st read, 2nd read, now what do I do
He’s still the best option we have
Hearing rumblings of Notre Dame HC Marcus Freeman being linked to possibly be the next Giants HC. He might not be a bad choice for them.
They say Giants GM Joe Schoen is from northern Indiana and a ND fan. I don’t think that would impact his decision making though. More of just a coincidence, IMO.
Todd McShay is also saying that he doesn’t expect Moore or Sellers to come out
but he does expect Mendoza and Simpson – which he thinks are the only top 10 worthy prospects at QB
the Line isn’t top 10 material😜
I think I’d seen Moore from Oregon once before this year. I watched him play Iowa a couple weeks ago, and I liked what I saw. Poised. Iowa’s defense is tough to play against, and he handled it well. I can’t say I thought he looked really good or anything, but I liked how he mentally handled the game.
So just caught up now , I have two questions/thoughts ….
Brian : I am almost thinking you are a closet Washington fan , based on games you have atttended in the past ?? Could you have pulled the wool over our eyes all these years ?? 🤔
Mike E : did your dentist use their right hand only ? Or two hands ?? 😎
He used both hands for sure. One to hold my lips out of the way and the other to do the damage. I asked him though which is the best and his answer was there is no better way to brush, whichever way you’re comfortable.
come on Mike you can be honest with us. He told you that you were crazy.
LMAO
I don’t think Iowa is a good team right now, but I don’t understand rankings. Last week we played #9 Oregon. We were ranked #20. We almost beat them. They move up a spot in the rankings, which I guess I get. We move down a spot, which I don’t understand at all. We almost beat a team ranked much higher than us. Why didn’t we move up to about #16 or somewhere in there? How do we almost beat a top 10 team and drop?
Actually, dropping just 1 spot in a loss is very good. The only time I see a team stay where they are or even move up a little bit is playing a top 5 team on the road and almost winning. Think of it like this, if they would have lost to a team ranked the same as them, they would have been out of the top 25…
You lose you drop, its not NCAA BB
True story and one I remind him of regularly.
My son has an IQ of around 160. He got a perfect score on the ACTs. He took them, didn’t try and got like a 32. His mom said that wasn’t working. Made him study and take them again. He got a 36.
Anyway, the point is that for an Inventor’s Fair in elementary school my son was completely disinterested. He was making no effort. With zero time left before he had to present something at the Fair, he decides that it would be cool if you didn’t have to move your tooth brush around so much when you brushed your teeth. So, lazy as that is he decided to simply strap 2 toothbrushes back to back and use that as his invention.
My son…who put forth no effort at all and slacked off…ends up on the front page of the local paper for his “invention”. He believed that not only should you use one hand to brush your teeth that it was also too much work to simply twist your wrist. Genius! Lol
On, at the age of 5 he also stuck a belt buckle into light socket to see what it would do. Twice because nothing happened the first time. Genius!
he has a 33% chance of not getting shocked
66%
rich,
Is it really just overall record? Doesn’t current rank of the teams paying matter?
It all matters. They have calculations they use for the CFB playoffs. It’s the fact they there are so many teams and so few spots, but in the end winning and losing is the ultimate factor. That is why for most teams a 3rd loss eliminates them from the playoff.
That’s impressive Randy! I have an IQ of 32
Rock,
He got knocked back on his ass the second time when he figured he just hadn’t shoved the buckle far enough into the socket. I heard the snap and went to his bedroom to see him sitting on the floor with a look of amazement and fear on his face and a black smudge on the wall around the outlet. It was hard not to laugh, actually. Scary but hilarious. To this day he justifies his reasoning for the whole thing.
unbeaten Texas A&M trailed 30-3 at half to So Carolina now trails 30-24 and driving 13 mins left
31-30
South Carolina should fire their coaching staff immediately
A bunch of wasted talent on that team. If Sellers comes out this year, I wouldn’t touch him. He needs at least another year in college and better coaching.
at least.
Pick 6 on Simpson…
Almost a second red zone INT for Simpson. PI bails him out…
Now Mateer got a gift on a dropped INT.
Alabama is very sloppy today. …2 fumbles, 1 lost and 2 picks, one called back on PI. Wow, 2 turnovers, that could have been 4 and there’s still 8+ minutes to go in the second quarter.
GO Iowa!!!! I don’t like USC, lol.
I hated SC growing up, then I moved to LA, my buddies parents were alum, went to lots of games including Rose Bowl
rich,
I’ve disliked USC from back when they would constantly go to the Rose Bowl and win. We never played them, but it seemed like they always got to go to the Rose Bowl.
I hear ya. For me, it’s a state thing. LOL
That was fitting, Alabama misses a FG to end the half. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy….
Lol @Toba
My nephew and my ex FIL are big Washington fans. That’s why my son and I go to the games, becuase we go with them. Good
Memory!
Nice, enjoy the game.
Glad ya didn’t go the stalking route 👍. Have a great time and we say hi to Sean
Rich – you like Ty Simpson, right?
Yes, but he should stay another year IMO. Same with Dante Moore. The only one I would say to come out would be Mendoza.
👍
Yea, Simpson, Moore, and Mendoza have been my top QBs since late September. The order may move around, but since I took Mateer out of round 1, it’s just those 3 right now.
What I like about Moore and Simpson was that they waited for their turn and didn’t go through the portal looking for a automatic starting position. …Moore 1 year and Simpson 2 years. In this day in age, that says something in my book.
You could probably say the same for Manning. He waited behind Ewers.
Simpson looks like someone stole his puppy
Very impressive to win at Tennessee and at Alabama in back to back games.
Defense still wins and it travels better in hostile environments.
OU likely would’ve been out with a loss, helping the U, just can’t root for Bama
Both these teams could end up with 3 losses and out
So, do you guys feel these QBs need to stay in school because you still question them? Or, do you feel they can be successful in the NFL but still need seasoning? I think the NFL has made it pretty clear that they will draft QBs very high without a whole lot of experience.
NIL money has changed everything.
I think for Simpson and Moore, it’s about getting more reps. Improving on the little things. I still think experience is very important, especially QBs. Being more mature helps too, physically and mentally.
With that said, I would still draft Simpson or Moore if they came out this year.
What did the Oklahoma game prove today? No matter who your opponent is or where you’re playing, if you control the lines of scrimmage and win the turnover battle, you will win A LOT of games. No matter what level…

IMO, many/some of these QBs need to stay in school for BOTH seasoning and questioning. I expected both Mateer and Sellers to have a much better showing this season than last, for example. Nope, they aren’t ready… too many questions if you ask me, AND they need more seasoning.
I like Simpson and Moore, but I feel they need more seasoning… but no questions about them.
Then ya have Allar, who got injured and just wasn’t cutting the mustard with Franklin as PSU’s HC. His eligibility is up, so he’ll enter the Draft, but there’s so many questions about him left unanswered. So much potential, so many questions. I predict he goes in the 3rd-4th round.
I’d only feel comfortable drafting Mendoza in the 1st round next Draft, but the stej are all but guaranteed to land him with their 1st round picks (<– note the plural). Heck, they may end up with R1P1.
The way I see it, 2027 is going to be a good, clean year to pick a QB early… as several here have already stated. I concur.
I tip my cap to both BBM and Rich.

…The only reasonable thing that can be done is address the OL, Edge and secondary in this next draft. Sprinkle in a TE, ILB and a big physical WR prospect…
————–
In no particular order yet, I 100% concur.
Allow me to add… we should also probably address Owner as well. 😉
Can we draft a new owner, PLEASE?!! LOL
no, he’s already cost us enough picks
Nice 😎
The struggles of these good but younger QB’s will keep a few of them in school another year for fear of a lower draft pick. Not talking about Simpson or Moore in that group. If they enter, I still think they would go 1st round.
This will only help the draft position of some of these other senior QB’s with no eligibility left. Mainly, Beck, Klubnik, Nussmeier, Allar, and Robertson.
I keep forgetting about Trinidad Chambliss from Ole Miss. Not sure if he has any eligibility left or not.
Yes, some of those names will surely get pushed up the board based on QB needy teams.
Haynes King is another one.
let’s go Dolphins!!!!!! It’s odd being here and the game time is 3:30pm.
Dan Marino was at a fan fest thing in one of the Plaza’s speaking and hyping up the crowd yesterday. There definitely seems to be more dolphins fans than commanders from what I’ve seen so far.
That is so cool!
Have a great time Bri
He may be worth our first pick to replace Jackson at RT.
whatever
it’s game day
I’m not gonna watch the game anyway
GO FINSMOB!
Have a great time Brian!
Go BRIAN!!! I’m going to try and root for the Dolphins today, but it’s probably going to be just like when I try to root for the Yankees for my pal Scott. I can start that way, but if the Red Sox hit a 3 run HR, I switch real quick! lol
Either way, have a fantastic time Bri!
Time out already, right on cue.
they have to screw up a good drive one way or another
first two running plays blowing the defense off the line
Delay of game on 4th down is ridiculous
Yep some things never change
He should be fired just for never getting that corrected.
100%
Also, not to mention calling a TO akready
idiots
will someone please shoot me already and put me out of my misery
To much hatred against our team here…. 🙂
Just being real
the clock management is hard to watch
Not surprised. Haven’t been able to fix that since MM has been here
That Washington players name is Yankoff?
Markey – we want better for our team. Think of it like political elections, you don’t like what you have you vote to make a change. You’re stuck in just accepting the shit they give us year after year. We want better so we root for change.
Back-to-back playoff appearances in the last few years for the first time in over 20 years seems like good progress. If this team could just stay healthy, they are a top team.
Yep, can tell this is 2 3-7 teams. lol.
Really liking Dulcich
The De’Von Achane Show
He is earning his right to free agency. 🤪
I think we’ll re-sign him. Grier is gone. Although we have no idea if it’s Kelly or a legit GM that replaces him. Lazy ass Ross will most likely leave Kelly in charge, because who cares if we suck another season?
I love that we feature a really well balanced attack on offense. You never know who’s going to get the ball.
The running game has been impressive
Tua is the worst scrambling QB
Not sure you can even call it a scramble. He basically runs into tackles.
^
is it still technically a scramble if you have your eyes closed Bookman? Asking for a friend 😉
Good point
THAT had to be the worst PI call I have ever seen.
It’s the first DPI call I’ve ever seen where the WR pushed the DB but the call was on the DB. One of the zebras has skin in this score 🤔
you must’ve missed, maybe you aren’t old enough, Cowboys vs Vikings in the NFC championship game early 70s
Drew Pearson was behind the DB pushed him, caught the ball, and they still called it on Min
This contest should have been in the Philippines and billed the thriller in Manila II?
