Wilson, Sadiq, and cooper is going to be tough to stop
Geno Smith should be able to stop them
We’ve got, what? 9 picks in rds 2-5?
This draft really could be the backbone of the team for years to come. Really hoping we can just hit this out of the park.
well there goes Faulk
Bills traded completely out of the 1st
it’s early NFL. Let’s start the 2nd
Seems like a good start …. Gathered picks and players .. what a novel concept.. hopefully in 3 years we are still happy with Proctor and gamble 🙂
Bri – if we only drafted Downs he could have covered all of them by himself! 😂
Exactly!
Exactly Mike!
Sorry Bri, I just don’t think a S is a building block, unless it’s Ed Reed. We’ll see what Downs is
So…logic dictates the next pick will be OL, then? I hear Dunker is a second rounder….
Dunker has been ranked from 51 to 72 so he is a possibility at 43
MikeE,
It kinda always depends on how a coach runs his defense, but safety has always been a cornerstone to a solid defense. A smart safety who can diagnose plays and get guys lined up right is huge. We see mistakes made in coverage all the time in the NFL. A high end safety can give you a big advantage in that area…even if they aren’t physically elite. Downs is all of it.
I think they are going to regret not taking him
We’ll see
Going into the draft I thought 2 guys looked like they had the potential to be elite at their perspective positions: Downs and Ioane. We actually had the chance to take either…when does that ever happen to us….and took neither! Crazy. Lol
^^^
Mike,
there aren’t many Ed Reeds, but I think Downs will get close.
agreed Randy. I really think we missed out on two special players .
I agree too.
You can’t play Safety anymore like Ed Reed did. We will never see another Ed Reed. The NFL doesn’t allow it.
There were a lot of analysts that felt Downs was the best player in the draft.
what did we trade away to move up from 30
swapped 90 for 138
It’s cool. I can see the logic in the players they did take. Like I’ve been saying, I just hope they pick good players. We need a lot of them.
Free m everything I’ve read on Proctor, he’s inconsistent and has a ways to go. That’s not who I want at 12
Rock,
I think somebody said it cost us 48 draft picks?
😂
I meant spots
48 slots…not picks. That would’ve been a Grief trade. Lol
Watching the JES interview. Seems like the whole organization was in on Proctor over Downs. With Grier, it never really felt that way to me. He seemed like he was always trying to outsmart everyone. He kept saying Proctors versatility on the O Line was important, and I think that’s so he can get some experience at G before moving full time to T, which will be HUGE for our young QB next year. Big Paul on one side, Big Proctor on the other, with a year of experience by the time we go for our QB. Seems like a pretty good start 🤘🤘
If that is true, that actually frightens me for the future of our franchise .
I think of Grier made that pick, most of you would be losing your minds. I actually feel worse about the pick this morning. We traded away a chance at elite talent (clearly BPAx, and it’s not even close) for a guy with commitment and motivational issues from THIS season. We could have landed a G or RT next year. The new regime fucked up.
Time will tell, but it definitely felt like a Grier draft last night
so it cost us 40 spots to move up three to pick a guy that May still have been there
And we took a guy at 11 that was projected to go in the late 20s who has motivational issues and problems maintaining his weight
Not a promising start in my opinion
48 spots
48 spots Rock

Wow….lol
We need to build the team with a strong foundation….
Funny…a man who says what he means, means what he says, and the does what he says and means… lmao
ok?!
Grief left us with ptsd. Let’s give Sully a chance
It’s not up to us to give him a chance. We have no power over the hiring and firing. We can look at the available information and have opinions on his SHIT pick.
^
This was to ER
OK, He’s a Dolphin now. He can smash smaller guys, that’s for sure.
I just watched 4:50 of his “highlights” and they are meh. Those are his highlights?
I am disliking this pick more and more.
…..
……
Miami Dolphins’ Kadyn Proctor admits he isn’t ready to play all three downs
Speaking with the media after his selection, Proctor said he needs to lose some weight to play as a three-down lineman, and that isn’t good news.
…………………………………………………………………………………
I’m not worried about it
Talking head slanting what he said.
R2: 1 pick
R3: 3 picks
R4: 2 picks
R5: 3 picks
R6: 0 picks
R7: 2 picks
my guess is we are not done moving around. If they like a player let in round 2 that might be a time to cash in on some day 3 picks
I agree. I will not be surprised to see them move up from #75 for an OG or Hurst. Might stay put and take Kilgore.
JES and Hafley signed 2 former Packers’ safeties during free agency. That is who is going to run his defense to start out, not a rookie like Downs or anyone else.
I can’t believe how many are mad at the Proctor pick. Everyone is in agreement we needed to get bigger and better on the OL. Now they have done it, and everyone is pissed because JES and Hafley didn’t take their guy. LOL
Proctor at his worst will be the best OG on the team if that is where he starts out at.
He’s a monster at almost 6’7 and 352 pounds and he is only 20yo. He’s still learning.
The maturity will come. Have PP take him under that giant wing.
Without looking at the value of the players we chose or what we gave up if you would have told me OL and CB with first two picks I would have applauded
High value positions at the end of the day. Makes sense to spend your first rounders there
Good post BBM
also noticed CJ Allen the LB fromGA didn’t go in the 1st
that bodes well for LB falling into the 3rd like Hill or Trotter
There will be a run on ILB today. Allen, Hill, Rodriguez, Trotter, Golday, etc.
Same with CB.
so many edge rushers that may gone in the late 1st left on the board
Zion, Howell, Parker & Jacas
im pretty sure that’s the target at 43
also good OGs: Pregnon, Bisontis and Dunker
I wouldn’t mind loading up on OL
Same here on OL.
Could be Haulcy also. Haulcy at 43 or Kilgore at 75. Both top 30 visits they liked.
BBMike
Edge at 43 and then moving up from 75 for an OG would kind of be a dream
but pig dreams to be complete I need a LB to fall into the 3rd
This would be nice but not worried about ILB in the 3rd. Get ILB Jack Kelly with one of those 5th round picks.
I’m with BBM. Some of y’all are all twisted up because they didn’t pick the one dude you fell in love with.
We keep saying start with the trenches, build from the inside out and when they do you’re mad that they didn’t take a safety?🤣🤣🤣
Trading up to take Johnson (who IS a good player, just from a small school) is a head scratcher too. Everyone has their own grades, but that is the concerning part. EVERYONE else graded him as a 2nd round pick or later but we trade away draft capital to move up to take him. No other CB’s were selected after him in round 1. Should have sat pat.
Very Chris Grier like draft last night.
If we are going to play Proctor at Guard, why not take Ioane?
They COULD have taken Downs, Ioane, Rueben Bain at 11.
They SHOULD have taken Johnson at 30 and kept #90.
MOST of the draft sites had McCoy, Colton Hood, Brandon Cisse, Avieon Terrell DAngelo Ponds ranked above Johnson…
This has really shaken my faith in Sullivan.
NEW BLOG UP!!!!! Bring your fucking tissues! LOL
There are some good safeties still out there in EMW, Haulcy, Stukes, Kilgore, etc.
Stukes has been underrated, IMO.
