Welcome—Aurora Novae Dies…

Welcome friends to the dawn of a new day, a new beginning, a fresh start for friends and fellow Dolphin fans to meet, converse and enjoy all things Dolphins.

If you have any difficulty logging in please e-mail the site address:

Perhaps the greatest accomplishment this new blog has succeeded in is eliminating the need for a character to have a space between paragraphs. It’s the small things that really matter most in the end.

Draft season is here. We will breakdown just about everybody (except the guys we usually draft) project picks, campaign for players, campaign against players.

Free Agency will open soon to give us a better indication of where the Dolphins may go. Do you we spend BIG? Do you we take a more conservative approach? Let’s all figure it together.

We want you to consider this blog, as related to Sun Life Stadium, the newly renovated blog, the blog with the gigantic umbrella if you will.

This site, my friends, was built by a team of willing and contributing people who like you simply love to chat about our beloved Dolphins.

Welcome and enjoy!

GDP – DraftTek has us taking DGB in the 2nd RD. I know you don’t think he’ll be there, and you’re probably right, but you never know . . . .

  2. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Moreno and Delmas are good signings even though it didn’t work out
It’s worth the rusk to sign vets to 1 year deals
That can make an average team good if it works
    It just didn’t

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Moreno’s first game gave us a glimpse of what it could be. It wasn’t to be. We could have been a 150+ rush team every week and more TOP.

  3. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    gdp

that is why ryan always over throws wallace. his balls are not deflated enough

  4. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Mike I’d do a backflip if we got DGB in the 2nd…maybe we can invent a new character issue, ala Marino. 😉

  5. Wyoming85's avatar wyoming85 says:

NFL Media analyst Charles Davis reported that a poll of defensive backs at the Senior Bowl revealed Duke senior WR Jamison Crowder was the hardest receiver to cover.

  6. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

If we don’t draft DGB we have to go through years of GDP drooling over his awesomeness. Nobody needs that. LOL

  7. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Son, lol, funny…I’ll be glad when he has someone besides Philbin as HC., oops…quandary.

  11. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

ffr, it’s a shame the NFL has done this to us all. I know a lot of people saying whatever and that’s not good for the league.

  12. Wyoming85's avatar wyoming85 says:

    Son
Jamison Crowder is a great return guy!
Can he replace a receiver we have on the team NOW that is fast?
    HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM
    Never thought of that before!
    😉

  13. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

i know i have said it before and a lot was just a jealous hate of the pats. and i do so get the nfl gets is favorite teams. in the early 70’s miami was, then it grew later into pitt then the cowboys. i get they latch onto a winner. but now they latched onto a winner that is a proven cheater. i have joked for years now the nfl is the wwf or worse the nba. but now they are latched onto a proven cheater. so either stand up and do something or you are just the wwf.

  14. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Wyo

Sounds like your totally on board jettisoning Wallace. I will hate that move if they make it. Unless they trade him and get something in return

      I like options! 🙂

  15. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

wow i posted that last comment and the refresh sent me back to the 1970’s yuck. a very very hairy time.

you guys put it in so when wyoming is on, you guys can send him back to a time before the internet and he cant kill the blog. my god you guys are geniuses

  17. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’m interested to see how they pull off jettisoning Wallace if that’s the plan. Don’t blame the coaches under this scope of big personalities because it’s all BS. Long was and still is breaking down. Dansby was never that great with us. Bush was good and then not available, and then okay. They all made over $5M per year and we still went 6-10 and 7-9. Oh right I forgot about Vontae Davis. The guy most here said was a horrible pick by the trifecta/Ireland in 2009, which I disagree with. I never doubted Vontae’s ability, but he was immature in his 4th season in 2012. Red flag!

Move on!!!!! This is a new team that has won more games in transition than the previous coaching staff did in their last 3 seasons.

    Sparano:
    2008 11-5
    2009 7-9
    2010 7-9
    2011 6-10

Got worse with young talent rather than a concocted vet team in 08. Rex Ryan was fired for the same thing this year. Never developed younger talent.

    Ryan:
    2009 9-7
    2010 11-5
    2011 6-10
    2012 8-8
    2013 4-12

    Philbin:
    2012 7-9
    2013 8-8
    2014 8-8

Philbin’s style is so much different than Sparano’s and FG fist pumps. But he had to change the culture. Unfortunately because Ireland was so good as a GM, Philbin was left with a championship team and he ruined it. LOL

  18. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

ok i hate wallace too but only cause the fins went 8-8. but they are not getting rid of him. philblow has one more year. he needs him.

does anyone think if we had not lost to the pack and Detroit but won both of those games the year would have ended like it did? so what he quit on the last half of a meaningless game, i dont think he would have if they were playing for anything.

  19. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

Philbin was left with a championship team and he ruined it.

tim, you just need to stop blaming the coaching.

  20. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

    Correction:
    Ryan:
    2009 9-7
    2010 11-5
    2011 8-8
    2012 6-10
    2013 8-8
    2014 4-12

You have to develop young talent and Ryan sucks at it.

  21. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

tim, the fins dont need to add talent. well ok they do. but not on the field. the just need to add ball boys who know how to deflate a ball.

  22. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    lol tim

yep after the cheats win the SB. well at least this year. when the interview gisele she can say i just deflated his balls

I elect Bill Mahr as America’s biggest douche and phony political hack. I mean, enough already. This guy might as well be sown onto Obama’s balls.

Hey Bill, when you decided to not be libertarian anymore because it wasn’t as profitable and kept you out of the Hollywood click crowd, did they also fill your head with stupid? This guy won’t even allow another voice to speak without ridiculing them. That’s a classic sign of ignorance and insecurity. Wow!

Unfortunately I do think America is losing it’s soul for money and popular acceptance. The NFL and its farce of a game is just another example of fluff for the masses.

The NFL is now a drama driven TMZ type institution. When you try to hang onto something that’s real you have to try pretty hard these days to ruin it. The NFL is doing that like a cheap whore.

I feel like I have to start over. I’m disgusted by the mass media and popular opinion about society in general. People are people, arrogance has become flatulence and nobody cares.

    Oh yeah, fuck off! 😉

  25. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Gigi saw me and said oh fuck, I’m not talking to him. LOL

I’m just watching our first real heavy snow. It’s not deep, just very white and coming down. It’s pretty like a Christmas snow. I hope it’s closer to 2-3 instead of 7-8. I’m guessing 3-4 at least.

Good morning former exodites and mobsters (I made up ‘exodites’, as I did not like the way ‘exodussers’ sounded). The rest of you, as Tim would say, “Fuck Off!”
So, we received around 2″ of snow overnight, when we were supposed to receive around 1/2″. It is currently 31° in the bourbon capital of the world.

  34. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Good morning Try

I had to brush off a couple of inches of snow off my car to get to work this morning. Thankfully, the worst road I encountered on the drive was my own. They didn’t plow it, so it was a snowy, slushy, icy mess.

  35. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I thought the bourbon capital of the world was my basement. Every time my son has friends over I find empty bottles of Jack. lol

    • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

Jack is not bourbon, my friend. It’s just sour mash whiskey. Lol

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I always thought it was bourbon. My mistake.

      • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

Busting your balls. It is all whiskey, but the process it goes through and the end result differentiates it from other whiskeys. Scotch, irish, bourbon, etc. I’m a scotch drinker myself, though I have had some very nice bourbon in my time here. I got 2 shots of a very nice bourbon about a year ago called Pappy Van Winkle. My friend is stupid and bought a half bottle from an irish pub we were at, then proceeded to pour shots for random people around the bar, since he doesn’t drink whiskey. Worked out to about $40 a shot.

  36. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

So if we are giving weather reports, it’s still snowing here. Not a lot. Just enough to make the trees look pretty and the roads a total mess.

  37. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Try

As you can probably surmise, I was never much of a drinker. I don’t like Scotch, or whiskey. When I was younger, I drank to get drunk, not because I enjoyed it. Now I’m not really supposed to drink with the meds I’m on, and I’m cool with that.

  38. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That’s a good thing. Maybe not at the moment, but it’s good she’s raring to go. I have to drag my younger son to go practice driving. It makes no sense to me. I couldn’t wait to drive when i was his age. He couldn’t care less.

  40. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I was thinking the other day about the people Parcells brought to Miami. Jeff Ireland, now part of college scouting for the New Orleans Saints. (Not quite a GM!) Dan Henning is out of football. Paul Pasqualoni was the defensive line coach for the Bears, but he may be out once they finish their staff. Finally, Tony Sparano, who is now the TE’s coach for the 49ers.

GREAT JOB BILL! F’n hate that guy!

In the chili world pork is used in the green tomato sauce ala
    “Chili verde”

We have done a lot of charity chili cook-offs over the years
No beans, no fillers type stuff
Actually the “turn in” stuff is a bit kak to me, we usually will also do
A large pot of nice poblano chili based beef cube stuff
And can usually do well in people’s choice

    Our team is “voo-doo chile”

My recipe starts with cutting small squares of thick cut bacon and cooking them in a dutch oven until slightly browned, then adding in all the spices and garlic and onion. Then you add the pork and beef (1lb each) and then when it’s browned, add 12OZ of beer. Then you add diced tomatoes and pureed tomatoes, along with black beans and dark red kidney beans. I’m doing this off the top of my head, so the order may not be exactly correct.

  59. Dloxahatchee's avatar dcoralsprings says:

The cook-off’s are a good time, we make a big party out of it
Whole team is into it, takes five of us

We dress up bloated cousin chuck in this crazy crap
He runs around as our “barker”
Gives out mardi gras skull and cross bone beads
Trying to lure people over to the booth
