It’s Game Day 5..Dolphins @ the Titans

dolphins titans(Header from CBS Sports)

It’s Game 5, or Game 1 of the Dan Campbell regime.  We’re playing another 1-3 team in the Titans so both teams are in dire need of a win.  Let’s hope the coaching change and the new energy Coach Campbell is trying to bring will be the spark the Dolphins need to start fast and play like we expected from the beginning of the season.   Otherwise, we are

toast

Let’s Go Dolphins!

    • herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

aaahhhhh, nope not ever close. he even faked and injury trying to get a time out. even the announcer were saying how his celebrating would have cost his team.

but ok, my bad, no players ever celebrate their individual accomplishment.

OL had not practiced together which they got to this week. Albert is the only starter in same position as last year.Albert and Sims have not played/practiced together with this years OL except for 9 hours. Wake had a hamstring problem during 1st 4 games then he had bye week to rest and get better. Tanny got better protection from OL maybe because of OL working together with Syms and Albert.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

That’s not at all true. All the guys that played today were active game 1. We scored 10 offensive points and our defense didn’t do anything. Wake was active and so way Albert. All the other guys had been playing in the offseason. Any more excuses for Philbin?

I don’t wonder that for a second. The team DIDN’T play for Joe, and that’s why he’ home this week. I think the game after his father passed away was the most inspired I saw the team play for Joe. ————————————

This was the team, and this was the performance, we thought we would see when the season began. Start strong. Play aggressively. Force turnovers. Pound the quarterback. Run with a passion. Win the game. It was all there, as impressive as it was convincing.

Could Dan Campbell’s debut as Dolphins head coach have gone any better? I seriously doubt it. He wanted a different mindset. He wanted passion. He wanted to get physical. He wanted to create a confidence and a cohesion that had been missing. He wanted this team to look like it was supposed to look.

    Mission accomplished on all fronts.

I truthfully thought the Dolphins would play well. But this well? On the road? Against one of the top defenses in the league? It was almost like a different team out there. And, in many ways, it was.

The end result of a 38-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans was more than merely a 2-3 record after five games. It was about sending a message, about saving a season and about a group of players who rallied around their new coach in inspiring fashion.

It’s way too early to form any lasting conclusions about Campbell. After all, he’s a veteran head coach of exactly one game. But it’s not too early to say this: I believe he is what this team needed, a fire-breathing leader with a get-tough mantra and a spirit about him that seems downright contagious.

  66. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:
