Game Wrap Up: Dolphins @ Eagles

cute_shrimp

So here we go again the Dolphins are down 16-3

They even gave up a safety …again…

but…

Sanchez

Dolphins D holds the Eagles to 3 second half points

I actually have no idea how the Dolphins won.

They were outgained by the Eagles by over a hundred yards.

And they had some calls go not their way

during their game at Bank of America Stadium on August 22, 2015 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

but this guy still plays for the Dolphins and when the balls goes off another players helmet and hangs in the air for a few minutes.  You can count on Landry to score…

Reshad Jones had a timely pick too…as usual…

Dolphin Win!!!

I hear that Dan Campbell to remain distanced from Philbin wipes his ass with the gum wrappers before leaving them on the field, just for good measure.

And you want to play what if? How about a 32 yard miss by an ex-Phin kicker in a game we won by one……….maybe he’s still on the payroll. 🙂
    ——————————————
Laugh it up but i saw him exchange a laugh and got a pat on the butt from one of our players when he kicked the 36 yarder.

  3. Rockphin says:

On a side note, the Eagles scored their 16 points in the first half in a span of only 4:03 of game clock.

With their first 9 points coming in a span of only 10 seconds.

  4. D says:

Bradford was doing some major acting too. Its almost like they know he is Mr. Glass and have the refs be extra protective with him.

314,165,191 eligible people in the United States and Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump are the best we can come up with?? WTF is wrong with this country and it’s system? Every four years we get to choose the lessor of two evils on election day.

  7. Tim Knight says:

Mike E, I don’t think a republican is winning the presidency anyway. Not until they stop acting like the loony party. Unfortunately more people are okay with socialism than loonyism. LOL

Also I have a feeling after our first president of color, now the people will want a vagina to keep the diversity thing going regardless of who it is. We’re one of a handful of developed countries to not have had a woman in power.

    • Mike E. says:

Could be. I was hoping Rubio would win, but it seems as if Trump and Carson are leading. Probably right about the vag though. Liberals seem to have the right strategy, and the Replubican’s are still way too far right for most of America.

      • Tim Knight says:

Yep! I can’t see Carson winning with all the disingenuous stuff he’s said and he’s way too far religious right for the majority.

  10. Tim Knight says:

Rock, good people who be really good presidential candidates don’t want to go through the nonsense it takes to win it. The first attribute they need is to have a huge ego and talk about how great they are and most good people aren’t like that.

“If you vote for me you’ll feel better just waking up in the morning because I’m that good.” LOL

  11. getterdone says:

D, I don’t have a man crush on Campbell. Am I excited about the possibilities, yes. Do I know he came into the spot with no experience as HC? Of course.
But sometimes rookies are good right out of the box if he has it. Now build a great supporting staff around him for 2016 if he can win with these clowns like Lazor and even greener Anarumo (replacing an inexperienced Coyle). That is what I’m saying.

Maybe Campbell goes the way of another TE turned asst coach (not coordinator) turned HC, like a certain coach Ditka. 😀

  12. stangerx says:

Least he says he ain’t proud of it. I try not to judge, but even if something is really wrong in your relationship and you end up cheating on your wife……..sleeping with your buddy’s wife is pure selfish betrayal. Lots of women out there.
    ——————————————-
Simon Cowell had a steamy affair with the wife of his friend Andrew Silverman. Their undercover relationship became public, and Cowell’s life dramatically changed, after it was revealed that the then Mrs. Lauren Silverman was pregnant with his child.

Of the affair that led to his now 21-month-old son, Eric, Cowell candidly says, “I’m not proud of the circumstances. I can’t hold my head up about it. But we have all moved on.”

  13. getterdone says:

Mike E, Rubio? So let’s keep voting in establishment guys so nothing will change.
I thought he was gonna be a good one about 2-3 years ago, but he’s flip flopped right into the hands of the elite establishment that represents all that is wrong with the direction this country is going….IMO, of which I’m not alone in. 😉

    • Mike E. says:

      GDP

They ALL do! That’s the problem with the Republican party. They want cookie cutter images of what they think the Republican party should be. Rubio was fine, and he’s still fine, but he, like all the candidates say and do what the party wants them to. That’s the biggest problem that I think they have. They have some more moderate minds, Mitt Romney included in that, but they force them all the way over to the right to conform with that they think the party is. As long as they continue to do that, they will lose.

    • Tim Knight says:

They all get sucked up by the establishment. They have to lap too many ball sacks to get anything done.

    • getterdone says:

Agree with you both, but that is why guys like Paul & Trump scare the establishment. They refuse to be part of it mostly.
Trump doesn’t need the establishment money. He’s a blow hard asshat yes, but does say the things that are grossly wrong that need to be fixed without dancing around the issue all PC like others do.
Same with Rand Paul who blasted all of them for being war mongers ok with pushing us towards WW3. He’s the only one that said NO on that realm and engaging Russia, etc.

The Dolphins run defense entered Sunday 31st in the league and, without Cameron Wake, a pass rush that trended down there, too. So how did they shut down the 10th-ranked rushing team in Philadelphia to a 2.3-yard average per carry and knock out their quarterback, Sam Bradford? Well, start with Ndamukong Suh being a one-man force out there. Start, too, with the Dolphins taking advantage of some trouble on the Eagles line. Left tackle Jason Peters was out, so right tackle Lane Johnson moved to the left. Sound familiar? Sound like the kind of stuff the Dolphins line has had to endure for a couple of years? Then the Dolphins took advantage of what they obviously saw as a weakness in center Jason Kelce, as Suh and Earl Mitchell shared taking advantage of him.

“If you want a quote, here it is: That was the worst game of my entire career,” Kelce said afterward. “Three penalties. F—— bad snap. F—, just a terrible blocking performance. I’ve got to get it corrected. But other than that, that’s about all I have to say.”

When’s the last time an opposing offensive lineman said that after playing the Dolphins?

  34. Tim Knight says:

You guts didn’t like that shit in a delicate ass sauce right around lunch time? LOL

  35. D says:

I think Rubio is still the odds on favorite to with the nomination, and likely the presidency after. He isnt my primary choice but i do think he’s the most electable and one that once the field narrows is going to be the one most people migrate from the other candidate to him. He will start climbing in poll numbers when it starts getting towards crunch time.

Likewise Trumps numbers will likley hold/decline as he has a strong set of supporters but being a polarizing candidate you likely love him or hate him, so those people who leave other candidates wont be joining him.

Carson was my candidate until he started going wackado and making claims that cant be substantiated. Im not sure these arent just smear tactics but whatever it is i think he may be toast already. I kinda liked the idea of he joining with Ted Cruz who is very different than he and that would make them a pretty solid P/VP pair.

These days im leaning towards Fiarino, as my favorite, followed by Rubio. She was always a close second potential candidate for me behind Carson. I dont see Ted Cruz as much of chance to win the primary but he likely makes a strong VP candidate. Fiarino has more balls than most the other candidates put together, and she seems very genuine to me. Rubio is going to be her obstacle but i feel she if she gets past the primary, beats Hillary. Rubio i think also beats Hillary, the rest probably wont.

    • stangerx says:

  42. Al in MIA says:

    GDP,
It should be interesting to see what happens with Campbell…
I was listening to The Ticket (local radio show) and they were having a dicussion yesterday about the Philbin era etc…
They were discussing how he may have been too much X & O type a guy when that kind of responsibility should be left for coordinators. That the HC in general should be a great motivator first and not worry about the details as the coordinators are suppose to be.
    I agree with that.
Anyway, if the Saints do part with Sean Payton after the season (I don’t think they will but stranger things happen every year), then perhaps Dan Campbell may have a role with him since he served under him as a player for 6 straight seasons (3 in NYC & 3 in Dallas before Payton took the job in NOLA).
Yesterday they were mentioning on twitter that the Saints were planning to fire Rob Ryan….I think he’s been dealt a bad defensive roster there for his style of play calling that I think would work well in Miami.
    There will be options.
Another interesting play for Campbell would be to seek something such as the University of Miami HC position…That’s a stretch of course but an interesting one that probably should be explored.

    • getterdone says:

      That’s interesting and I agree on the X’s & O’s comment.
First thing Campbell said after getting Sauders to help Lazor & ditching Coyle for Anarumo was that he’d have input in game plans & in game calls at times, but basically leave the play calling on both sides to his Coordinators, not constantly be micromanaging them.

As I’ve said, hope we keep the young Buck & build some talented Coordinators around him for 2016 & beyond.

  43. Al in MIA says:

“THE TASTE IS IN YOUR MOUTH AGAIN…WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ON WEDNESDAY? EAT!!!!!!!!!”

    • getterdone says:

      Hell Yeah!
I’d like to see him bring in a guy like TCU’s Gary Patterson as our DC. Not likely to happen, but that’s the type of defensive mind we need for the new NFL type spread offenses.

    • Rhino says:

you sure he wasn’t talking about Monica Lewinsky ?

  44. Al in MIA says:

There were three or four series in this game that were just fucking ridiculous. I remember one series with us backed into our endzone, here we are in shotgun, same for the fumble/safety. Same for short yardage packages and redzone where we line up in shotgun and straight pocket pass which is not Tanny’s strength. They hate the roll-out/bootleg for some reason.
    ———
The guys on TV were saying this same stuff about rolling out more often…
A scout I follow on Twitter responded to the safety by saying “You are at the 1 and you call a play with a 5 step drop?”

‘Same for short yardage packages and redzone where we line up in shotgun and straight pocket pass which is not Tanny’s strength. They hate the roll-out/bootleg for some reason.’

that is my biggest issue with the play calling. they always avoid what tanny’s strength is and go to what his weaknesses are. i got it the first couple of years trying to make him better at it, but but now it isnt going to happen. just go with what he does best.

    • D says:

I have been calling for it since before they fired Philbin. Common factor…Lazor.

      • getterdone says:

Hey now, that’s what I’ve been saying all along. This team had probably the 2 worst Coordinators in the NFL, and still have 1 in Lazor.
        Get Campbell real Coordinators. 🙂

      • D says:

Worst case on those bootlegs is Tanny can take off if there isnt anything downfield. He would have TE’s crossing to hold the LB’s he would have the DL pretty much sealed off opposite his rollout and he would have the safetys in check keeping Landry under wraps. He would have probably 3 options short, middle and occasional deep when they start to bite on the short game, he also would have the option to run and pick up a few yards on occasion.

  48. D says:

I could see something similar to what Al suggested, but HC’s a lot of times are particular to their staff. I could see though Payton bringing Dan Campbell back to be OC, but i think if he really wants a shot at HC or OC he needs to shit can Lazor and start being more involved in the play calls. Lazor is making him look bad in both the capacity as HC and OC.

  49. finfanrob says:

i agree lozor needs to go, but i dont think the reason he is here is dan’s fault. nothing to base this on but my opinion but i think he was told or advised to keep him around. that firing both coordinators at the same time would be too much to over come. which i am sure it would have been.

    • D says:

Probably would have been but he could shift the responsibility to the play calling to Saunders. I would just more control what plays he calls. Firing him is my own person desire, though im pretty sure he isnt helping much so cutting him loose or just bumping him back to QB coach might not hurt much,

  50. drg says:

Victory Monday! I have no earthly clue how we won that game yesterday. Offense struggled again. Costly penalties and mistakes. Our defense was completely confused and unprepared most of the game. Somewhat understandable considering the number of rookies or backups in there, but they failed to even line up properly most downs. I’d be even more disturbed if I was a Philly fan trying to understand how they couldn’t score against us. Sanchez is the gift that keeps on giving, I guess.

Campbell is a stud, but he’s not ready for this. I’d be surprised if we win many more games from what I saw yesterday.

    • getterdone says:

Bear in mind we were on the tail end of a 3 game road trip…that’s brutal in the NFL regardless of record, even if you were undefeated.
I’ll judge the team now that we got 5 home games of the remaining 7.

  51. D says:

Case Keenum starting QB for the Rams, Foles benched. Somewhere M13 is chanting Case’s name.

  52. getterdone says:

D, I agree about moving Tanny out more, but that can’t be a constant as it generally cuts the field in half. I and others have been calling for more snaps under center and we saw that a lot more yesterday finally. Sometime even we saw an I formation. Hope they keep phasing more under center snaps to keep the shotgun formations more a surprise than the repetitive norm.

  56. Randy says:

From what I hear on sports radio, they are not blaming Wallace for the connection issues here in MN. They kept saying Wallace is getting open, and it’s more a function of how Norv is asking Teddy to play and not take big risks. The times he does throw to him; Teddy has been missing him more often than not. Most folks really aren’t blaming Wallace. They like both at this point though.
    ***
Peterson is carrying that team so far…behind a makeshift OL. I like the way Zimmer has coached this team so far. They have some studs on defense. Linval Joseph(wish we’d signed) is starting to dominate games. Harrison Smith might be the best safety in the game. Barr and Kendericks both look like they are going to be good to great. Floyd keeps flashing but still can’t really be counted on consistently. They are young and playing well already. They could be really good in a few years if they can shore up the CB position and safety opposite Smith.

lol at this crap called the nfl. within 3 minute of the game i think they have already had 3 penalties if not 4. it has become a 3 team game. they home team, they visiting team and the refs team. well unless it is the pats, then it is just the patsrefs vs whoever

WYOMING: SAW YOUR 2:54 post with the blonde and the Coors delivery truck. Since the blonde appears to be about half the age of my oldest daughter, I’ll leave her for for you. TWO Colorado Kool-Aids for Great Grandpa, please!

  63. olddolphan says:

Tickets in the lower portions of Sun-Baked Stadium START at nearly $300 EACH for both the Cowboys game and the Giants Monday Night game. At $600 for the pair, I think I’ll be a seller for the Monday Night game b/c I’d need to take BOTH Monday AND Tuesday off, a no-no in December. However, me and Mrs. OD WILL BE THERE for the match-up of the 2-7 Cowboys and the 4-5 Dolphins this Sunday. We’ll see if NOT selling the Cowboy tix was a smart move.

OD, all Phins have to do is beat this tool. No Prob!

    • steveccnv says:

I hope we see that tool on Sunday, but we all no better. Dallas looses all games without him, and we of course get the first game with him back.

  65. steveccnv says:

Pig, you really don’t know how the Fins won this game? The D was balling and Suh led the chase. If this was a SB Suh would’ve been the unanimous choice for MVP.

  66. steveccnv says:

This game is the biggest piece of shit game I’ve tried to watch this yr.

  67. steveccnv says:

How many guys have the Fins taken out this yr? There’s been plenty, when the D wants to play… Key word wants.

I’m not sure the better half will let me take you up on the first part of your offer!

But any time your close by Houston, there’s a Coors regular in the fridge for you!

IS ANYBODY worried that the Bungels will run the table??? –NO, I didn’t think so!

Me and Mrs. OD saw several Miami-Cincy games during our 16 year exile to Ohio. Miami won EVERY ONE OF THOSE CONTESTS, including Shula Bowl I and Shula Bowl II We were also there to see Jason Taylor score a touchdown as time expired in the first half at Paul Brown Stadium, which is a vast improvement over Riverfront Stadium.

    Out for tonight!
