Ravens are out of the postseason

RHINO & GDP; GOTTA AGREE with both of you RE: playing at Baltimore OR playing at Pittsburgh. The Ravens defense absolutely stopped Tannehill & the J-Train cold in their tracks. –We just DON’T match up well vs. Baltimore. Conversely, our running game was sensational against Pittsburgh (Ajayi over 200 yards) and Tanny had his good moments as well. Miami’s 30-15 win over the Steelers was no fluke.

Pitt had a lot of injuries on D when we played them. Their offense is much better than Baltimore’s and they have been firing on all cylinders lately. Bell is an offensive juggernaut, and I don’t think we will be able to stop him. That Baltimore game was an anamoly, but I do agree that Baltimore has traditionally been a bad matchup for us.
Hopefully Jenkins will be 100% and we can scheme to limit Bell somewhat. We’ll need to force Ben into more TO’s and take advantage of them.
Why don’t we have the edge on Denver? We have a better overall record and conference record. I guess somehow if we both have the same record because Denver can’t pass us they win some tiebreaker?
Denver is deemed “smelly” and they get the pity entry tiebreaker
If we lose and Denver wins out then they will have the better conference record
No we’d both be 7-5. They can’t pass us with any record.
It then goes to common opponents (minimum of 4), then strength of victory (almost all of our wins have been by less than 7 points), and then strength of schedule. Not sure which one applies but we lose it.

I think strength of victory is where we lose. The winning percentage of the teams they have beat is higher than ours.
Man, I have to say I am really happy with the weapons we have at RB. Even our backup RB’s are dangerous weapons to score.
Williams has 6 touch downs and Drake 3 on the year. Big plays.
Stills and Ajayi lead the team in TD’s with 8 each and of course the kicker leads the team in points as they always do.
We’ve got a lot of playmakers on offense and STs. We need more on defense this offseason. This team could be really good if we add some impact on defense next year.

I want to see us go heavy on defense in the offseason but also look for TEs. Duarte might become a weapon too but I want to see us add a big TE who can catch and run. I’d like to see us re-sign Sims too but add to that group. That could make us a complete team.
Gray is pretty decent. Those types of TE’s are hard to come by, and are usually done through the draft. I’d like to hold out one more year and draft Mike Gesicki from PSU. He’s a Joisey boy!
Yeah we have a solid group. But I think that’s a position we could look to upgrade. May the best 3 or 4 win.

I actually really like Sims at TE. He is not the most dynamic pass catcher but I love what he adds with his blocking in the run game and I think that is more important to the offense we run
I do too. I’d love to add an athletic recoveing TE to go with him.

Yeah I’m a Sims fan. He does a lot of dirty work like blocking DEs and LBs. He’s a sneaky receiver who is more athletic than you sometimes think he is.
As long as Sims doesn’t continue with Concussions he could be good.
He’s really tough to bring down. He’s a big dude.

Playoffs!!!!!! It’s been a long 8 years, with another 7 prior to that. We’ve been a long suffering fanbase, but it really looks like we hit the jackpot with Gase. The team gave us something to cheer for and something tobuild off. We have too many holes to go anywhere in the playoffs, but who cares? This season was a win for us.With one good offseason, we may be legitimate contenders next year. The future so bright I gotta wear shades.
