ok 6 picks to go so do we get Asiata or Dorian Johnson at OG? I like both of those guys a lot.

  2. D says:

    Tankersly still there

  3. The Flying Pig says:

Picks 65- 80 read like a big go fuck yourself to the blog

    • naplesfan2010 says:

      We can’t get everybody.
The basic rule is Each team only gets one pick per round.
It’s brutal to watch our favorites get taken
but all fans are feeling the same way more or less.

  4. naplesfan2010 says:

dang i wanted Jourdan Lewis as a slot CB but he does have bad red flags.

  5. The Flying Pig says:

The cowboys drafted a guy with a criminal trial scheduled

  6. D says:

    We are on the clock

  7. naplesfan2010 says:

CCam Sutton is yet another really good slot CB.

  8. D says:

We definitely have been going for OUR guys.

  9. naplesfan2010 says:

commercial again … every god damn time

  10. Phindog says:

    Nice call D 👍👍🍻🍻

  11. The Flying Pig says:

    Tankersly is a good pick
Maybe our best pick of the draft

I really love that we emphasized defense

  12. steveccnv says:

    Is that the pick?

  13. D says:

Shit sorry didn’t think they would go to commercial I hit enter just as I thought they were going to show it

  14. naplesfan2010 says:

how do you know the pick?

  15. D says:

I like the Harris pick. I didn’t have anyone I liked better when we picked there even though I would have just liked to have seen what happened if tacos name got called

  16. naplesfan2010 says:

    Cordrea my man

  17. The Flying Pig says:

He was much better in 2015 than 2016

    But he’s talented

  18. son of a son of a shula says:

    Clempson!!

    Love it
    More D please

  19. D says:

I saw it on that web page someone posted before

  20. son of a son of a shula says:

Wasn’t there a Leonard Tanketsley in some sport?

  21. naplesfan2010 says:

Kiper trashed the star DB off the winning national championship team that most teams would not even throw at. I like the pick.
Lots to feel good about guys. 3 5ths tomorrow. See ya then.

  22. The Flying Pig says:

I love that all 3 picks were on defense

  23. naplesfan2010 says:

I think they are gonna use Tankersley on TEs and possession WRs as he is great at jumping their routes for picks. He plays CB like a CF FS. I am hoping he is our Ed Reed type guy. Hey just semi convert him to FS.

  24. son of a son of a shula says:

Piggs, is Lawson still on the board?

  25. steveccnv says:

Desmond King was still there, he’s a much more seasoned CB.

    • naplesfan2010 says:

More seasoned? Cordrea played in back to back national championships and defended against some of the top teams in the country. Desmond is ok but he is slow.

      • steveccnv says:

That doesn’t make him seasoned. I kind of remember the score in those games or should I say pinball games?

  26. steveccnv says:

I don’t care for our 3 picks. I feel like a Mike E or Eyore.

  27. D says:

Pitt took a Pitt player, just not the guy I was expecting. They took the RB from Pitt not Peterman the QB

  28. The Flying Pig says:

I don’t know what with Lawson Son

  29. The Flying Pig says:

    I know we need OL

But I’m looking at Anthony Walker, Jr. Elijah Lee and Carl Lawson tomorrow

  30. D says:

Saints have had a pretty good draft

  31. naplesfan2010 says:

The Saints and Texans had really good drafts.

  32. D says:

    Hankersly Steve

  33. mf13ss says:

    Day 2 is OVER!

Tomorrow, let’s trade up for either DESMOND KING or BLAIR BROWN. And let us PLEASE address the O-LINE!

  34. New Age says:

I really like our picks. Considering where we picked and what we gave up for Carroo, fantastic draft so far. We got talented, experienced help for our awful D. I see these guys all contributing a lot over the next 4 years.

  35. The Flying Pig says:

    What’s left on OL
Fuller, Toth, is Asiata still available?

  36. D says:

Desmond is a small cover corner, tankersly is a larger press type corner, which is more like what they have been looking for. Also he was a private meeting guy who I heard a bunch of people say that we really liked

  37. The Flying Pig says:

    Alright Beckwith

glad he was picked on day 2

  38. D says:

    Lots of good OL left

  39. New Age says:

Looking at NFL.com, we’ve filled all of our needs but OG. Mando and others have said they wouldn’t go OG early either so right on target.

  40. D says:

Zach banner, asiata, Johnson, Sharpe, Isadora, dunker, genessy,

  41. D says:

    Sprinkle still out there

  42. Phindog says:

Everyone was screaming for Defence.. Well I’m happy so far how the PHINS scouts / coaches and GM got the guys they wanted without trading up and giving up picks.. That’s how it’s done. # ZERO IN !!

  43. D says:

So far I think the saints have had the best draft, but I also think the Jets, 9ers, TB, and honestly we are in that group of teams I think have had a good draft. I didn’t count the Brown’s because it’s easy to have a good draft having 3 firsts, but really outside those picks their draft isn’t that good

    • steveccnv says:

I think our D has improved the depth tremendously, but I don’t think we’ve had a good draft. Harris should play passing downs, Raekwon might get on the field when Misi gets hurt, so week 2, if Tankersley can play the slot or dime, he should get action.

  44. steveccnv says:

If Tankersley can play in the slot, then he’s a good pick.

    • steveccnv says:

except he wants no part of tackling.

      • Phindog says:

You’re Killing me Smalls.. I trust the fins draft room over us highlight reel watchers.

      • steveccnv says:

I only watch highlight reels when i cant find positives watching game tape. Lots of picks are busts for different reasons, but i will give them credit for taking alphadogs.

      • Phindog says:

I just watched 5 films on him and he is not afraid to tackle. In fact he’s a tackling machine 👍👍

      • steveccnv says:

He’s not even a tackling machine compared to Sandcastle. Since you’re from SoCal I’ll give you a Chickism. He plays the matador defense.

      • steveccnv says:

I’m sure he looks like a tackling machine in highlight reels.

  45. steveccnv says:

    No slot for Tootie.

  46. Phindog says:

    WTF is chickism ?

    • steveccnv says:

Chick Hearn former broadcaster of the Lakers had a bunch of sayings he’d use during a game like this one is in the refrigerator, slam dunk, matador defense…they were dubbed Chickisms.

  47. Phindog says:

Well since your from Nevada I’ll give you Dickjism.

  48. Tim Knight says:

Hey look a defensive draft as opposed to offense last year. Edge, box LB and another big corner. Why the boo hoo, y’all wanted someone else that you sat down with and worked out? LOL

  49. Tim Knight says:

Pick Analysis: “Tankersley is a highway speed guy. If you draw up a corner, this is the guy. He can run fast. He’s a press corner. He’s the least interesting defensive back in this entire draft in supporting the run. He was directly for support on two Dalvin Cook touchdowns and did not get involved at all.” — Mike Mayock

Really Mike, you even admit you don’t know these players until you put on the tape. How many games did you watch?

I trust the MIA scouting dept. more than your eyes. Tankersley at #97 is a steal that late. He was projected at #69 ahead of Desmond King by one via CBS.

  50. Tim Knight says:

    4-3 box LB.

  51. Tim Knight says:

Tankersley will push Maxwell, Howard and Lippett. Great competition.

  52. jetsssuck says:

what’s not to like of the 3 future HOF picks?

    • steveccnv says:

Well the issue on D was we sucked against the run, so what do they do, they bring in an edge that can’t stop the run, a CB that would rather watch someone else make a tackle, and a box LB that can’t find the right gap and can’t read a play, and is slow to react.

      • steveccnv says:

We’ve got 3 projects with great upside, but they aren’t ready for prime time, and we’ve got 5 PT games this year😉

  53. steveccnv says:

Harris as a situational, 3rd down pass rusher will help out tremendously in those situations, but isn’t ready to smell the field on first down. Because we don’t need him to be a 3 down DE this year he’s got time, but sure why you’d select that in the first.

    • steveccnv says:

His quickness off the snap and bend are quite impressive, and has the desire to be great. I think his rushing D issues can be fixed with a little coaching, but it’s going to take some time.

  54. steveccnv says:

Raekwon I think will make a better OLB than MLB, but with his size and speed he has the potential to be as good as he wants to be. On the outside he seems to have faster play speed and reaction time.

  55. steveccnv says:

Tankersley scares me with his lack of desire to tackle, and grabby hands, but he’s also got the size and speed to be as good as he wants to be.

  56. steveccnv says:

We drafted character, work ethic, leaders, and desire. Sometimes the ubdrafted do better, because their back is against the wall, so they put in more effort, but they’ll have nothing on these 3.

  57. Brian in NY says:

    Steve,

Don’t get caught up on what the so called experts say about him.

  58. sb7mvp says:

Steve is so negative during every draft. Last year he was complaining about us trading our picks away and then year we stand Pat and he’s complaining about those guys. Raiders fans are never happy. Lol

  59. Rhino says:

In a team sport, work ethic – leadership – desire ALL matter when creating a team identity consistent with Kenny Still’s tweet “Davie, GRINDING”.
If I were allowed to complain about a draft process I’m not qualified to do (lol) I’d like my #22 overall pick to be an every down guy… but he’s a pup and FO likely thinks he’ll be a star when he gets some “peer coaching”. 🙂
I love the McMillan pick. We’ll see about the ‘speed debate’ BUT if he gets his hands/arms on you.. you’re going down!
Tankersley? D is right… this was a guy they were targeting. If our LBers execute the plan, Tankersley can cover guys all day.

  60. Rhino says:

how about a flier on Eddie Jackson? after all it was ‘minor surgery’ but a guy with a 3rd round grade.

    • D says:

He is gone but he has potential to be a helluva safety. Minus the injury he was probably a 2nd rounder maybe even late first

  61. D says:

    Lawson finally selected
