quit the WR screen already, fuck!

  2. D's avatar D says:

He is throwing off his back foot every pass

  3. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Can we stop making this game all about Cutler. Let’s get serious, we look like trash today in too many phases, it’s not just the QB

  4. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Cutler has basically taken a giant shit on the field today

  5. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That was a bad throw by Haack, it;s Cutler’s fault

    • D's avatar D says:

He is just one part of the problem but he needs to get centered so the rest of the offense can use his confidence to build off of. I definitely don’t think this is all his fault though. Gase has control over getting this shit under control too.

  6. manitobafinfan's avatar manitobafinfan says:

Hes throwing everything off his back foot

Sure, he’s a part of it, but O-line has been a joke, run game non existent, receivers look they’re out there just going through the motions.

That dodge commercial is racist. 4 black cars racing down the road then a white SUV comes rushing up with two white guys driving it and the black cars move out of the way so the white one can lead them….. Seriously. Really not smart as far as the people who signed off on that. All they had to do was have cats of all colors and then pick a green one to lead or something lol.

    • D's avatar D says:

I’m just kidding of course but you know someone else has noticed this and it’s only a matter of time before it gets called out

The funny-not funny thing is, you’re probably right. After I saw some person create a stink for some Hobby place selling raw cotton as part of a decorative item, saying it was racist…well, what else is there?

Gase needs to rethink his play-calling.

  58. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

He’s having a bad game. Can we relax a little bit that he’s done? He’s rushing every throw, because he’s not getting protection. It’s a cause and effect thing. It’s amazing how one dimensional the complaints are. We have no running threat whatsoever, and the defense is just coming after him, Do you guys NOT see this? C’mon!

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

His arm does not look good. Same as last week. I think Moore will be starting sooner than later.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

How is it his arm? He’s throwing while running backwards, or running forward. How many times did he step into a throw? I’m watching the same game you guys are, and I see him throwing like he’s afraid of the pressure, either because it’s really there, or he just expects it

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

He has missed open guys when he has had time. He has been late on his throws and only since the Jets took a commanding lead did the Jets start getting pressure. Prior to that Cutler had time

  59. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

  67. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Mike, Cutler’s throws do not have the velocity he once had. They dive low or fly high off the mark. The receivers are like WTF?!!!! Unless it’s just rust, he’s done. We’ll see.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Tim, not being difficult, but did you read my reply? Did you ever throw a football off your back foot? Did you ever throw while moving backwards? Did you ever try to throw with some velocity while running forward? It’s hard. I don’t think Cutler’s arm is the issue, I think he was a little shellshocked today. He was either pressured or feeling pressure (in his head), and that caused a lot of bad throws. He didn’t do that last week, so we just forget about last week’s game, and only count this one?

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yes, he often throws off his back foot and relied on his arm. He doesn’t have it anymore. I saw it against the Chargers but didn’t want to get into it. I just saw it again. Our receivers bailed him out many times in LA. Today it was worse. This looks like Favre at the end.

  69. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Ken

I agree he didn’t play well. Did anyone in this game with the exception of Chase Allen play well? We looked like garbage. Why is it determined that Cutler is done? He played bad when the offense including our running game also looked like shit. It’s hard to win when you’re one dimensional/ It’s his second game back with this team. He was signed a few weeks ago. Can we give him a chance? You want Moore to start, I think that’s crazy. If Gase determines Cutler’s done, that’s one thing, but as long as Cutler is Gase’s QB, he’s mine too

  70. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Even the refs are having a bad day. They called a holding penalty against the Pets negating a big play late in the game. WTF?!

  71. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

  72. manitobafinfan's avatar manitobafinfan says:

    Un fucking real

  73. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

It’s one game…albeit it’s against them. Not the end of the world. That was yesterday. 😉

  74. D's avatar D says:

Protection was not great but was overly horrible either. Pocket was small but was open at the front as it should be. Some plays it collapsed at the front though.

Coverage was there most the game. Cutler got rattled and from the hits, which there were a bunch of questionably late ones. He started throwing off his back foot which meant he couldn’t get anything on the throws which made the small windows he was give impossible to make.

They had a perfect game plan for us on defense, but we also didn’t execute or make the right adjustments to what they were doing. TE and RB passes would have helped but we called outside pass plays to them when the LBs were leaving the shallow middle open. Running game was ineffective and we live or die off our running game.

Our zone blocking zone runs played right into their scheme which was open to the backside so we should have been running more counters and maybe thrown in a couple misdirection traps and/or reverses to keep them honest. We could have gone more power run, power ok blocking, but I think we were just over manned for that.

Our defense was blasted in the secondary, Maxwell redeemed himself a little but was a liability in the first half, verner couldn’t replace him without getting burnt himself, slot coverage was bad, Howard was decent but he had to scramble to catch back up on coverage he got burned but got caught back up a few times.

LB s didn’t tackle well and were out of position a lot. They were slow in coverage. Off and on game for all of them.

DL was ok, decent pressure from the outside but could have used more. Suh and Godchaux had pressure up the middle but they didn’t get good support from the LBs in the middle. I don’t know what it’s going to take to get holding called for whomever defenses Wake, they hold him around the neck even and still no calls.

Suckfest all over the field today. We deserved to be shut out and I hope Gase asschews everyone on the team while holding a mirror and looking at himself at the same time.

    • D's avatar D says:

Was more upset with the OL in run blocking more so than pass pro this game though they really did neither well. I know that unit is better than that. Last week was a better pass rush team and we shut them down. Obviously we just didn’t come to play today. Maybe we should have traveled there last Monday and spent the week there worked last week lol

  75. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Seems our entire O-Line “took a knee” for Jay Cutler today… just an observation and just sayin’…

  76. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

    Ok Herd is right.
    It’s just one game.

    • D's avatar D says:

Yeah and it’s not a sign of everything I mean we saw a better game last week and we notoriously start slow. We just need to get shit straight and not embarrass ourselves, because make no mistake, this was embarrassing

  77. D's avatar D says:

    ——-
I’m surprised you see it that way, but it’s all good. Our O-Line play was so chaotic that I saw Cutler throwing off his front foot… and he delivered LASERS into the breadbasket of his receivers.

Hey, gotta give props to the stej’s Secondary for making REALLY nice plays on the ball in this game… and I don’t mind doing so.

    But our O-Line SUCKS!

    • D's avatar D says:

Cutler’s arm wasn’t the problem it was his feet. He never planted his feet well on his throws and most of the time he was throwing off his back foot. There is no way you can get anything on a throw like that.

  88. D's avatar D says:

I would have like to seen Anthony in the game since it was already out of hand

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Only reason we didn’t is likely because he has yet to digest Burke’s Defense. Perhaps we’ll see him next week.

      • D's avatar D says:

I would have put him in there regardless wasn’t like anybody else seem like they understood the Playbook either. It would have also been good just to see athletically where he was at. They could have put him in situations where it was see ball get ball.

  89. D's avatar D says:

For what it’s worth him I agree with you that his arm isn’t what it used to be. It is however still much better than a lot of what quarterbacks have. The big problem was he was throwing off his back foot he wasn’t planning on his throws because he felt like he didn’t have the time to do that. There were times when he was correct and there were other times that he just rushed it because he was nervous.

  90. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Ken

You started Cutler in FF. Now I see where the venom is coming from. lol

  91. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Cutler had time and made bad decisions and throws. When he had no time he got sacked or threw INTs. Again maybe he’s rusty, but he looked lost and lacking skill to me. I guess it’s weird coming from positive Tim, but I do not like what I’m seeing from him.

    • D's avatar D says:

He definitely through some bad passes and he definitely made some bad decisions.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I agree. He just looked bad today. The playCalling was also predictable

Ince the jests stopped Ajayi there was really nothing for us

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Play calling always looks bad when there is no execution. We could have won this game even pllaying like shit. That’s how bad the O played. Defense and STs were fine overall. The O was so bad it was hard to watch.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Cutler bought time for himself in lieu of our O-Line. And he has a mere 1 INT on the season… not “INTs” (as in plural).

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

It was also a pretty desperate pass while on the run, juts trying to make something happen

      • D's avatar D says:

I agree it wasn’t as bad a performance as people are making it out to be on Cutler’s part this time. It’s really a combined problem between the him and the OL protection and the fact we didn’t have a running game to balance out everything. Cutler has a lot of elite quarterback skills but one of the ones he does not have is carrying a team on his shoulders. He really needed his security blanket, ajayi, to carry the load.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He did and was still bad with his throws.

    • D's avatar D says:

No one had focus in that game that was the majority of the problem no one did their job which made any one person unable to do it all by themselves. Did they try to make things out of nothing he couldn’t do it Landry tried really hard to make things out of nothing he couldn’t do it Cutler tried to make things happen out of nothing he couldn’t do it. It’s a team game and when the team doesn’t put forth the effort together they lose. So I guess since Tim is taking my role this time I’ll take his.

  92. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Cutler wasn’t sharp by any means…..but then he was getting lots of pressure. And not like he was giving bad handoffs particularly yet the running game was shut down. I’m with M13 that my biggest finger today points at the O line.

  93. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

    Awful…..

  94. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

Well that should settle the talk about trading RT.

  95. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Tim

Honestly, If it was Tannehill today at QB, he probably would have been sacked 5-7 times, and thrown 2-3 INT’s under duress. It wasn’t our game. We lean on the run game, and it wasn’t there.

  96. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Solid pocket and Cutler throws it between a guy covered and a wide open Landry.

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

If there is one play that tells you all you need to know about Cutler’s performance today it is that one. It is as if he didn’t even see the field. Well he didn’t

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That throw was baffling, but we don’t know if Cutler thought Landry was going to a different place, so while it looked ridiculous, we’re not privy to that info

    • D's avatar D says:

Kinda doing some of the same stuff you always warn others not to do or at least I think you should realize this is the same thing that so.e people have show when pointing out Tanny’s mistakes, picking a play or a couple to establish the entirety of a game. It’s true there were bad plays fully on him, I’m sure most everyone agrees but just as you defend Tanny against that, so should Cutler be defended as it wasn’t all on a couple of plays that made the whole game fail.

  97. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

My biggest concern is the defense, which sucked ass.

  98. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

D – Very true. Also, we don’t know if Cutler was expecting Landry to go to a different place. It’s his 2nd game, those kind of mistakes are possible
