For 2018, the Miami Dolphins will definitely have a new look on the defensive line, especially at defensive end. Most notably, on March 2nd, the Dolphins traded for Rams DE Robert Quinn, sending a 4th RD pick and swapped 6th RD picks to the Rams. What the Dolphins are probably hoping for is the 10.5 sacks he achieved in ’14 as a true DE, or the 19 sacks he got in 2013, but the Dolphins would love something in between the two. Cam Wake returns at the age of 36, but we all know and understand that Wake treats his body like a temple, and is in prime physical condition. Charles Harris will be entering his 2nd season, and although he won’t be a starter, the theme at DT also applies to DE, so there will be plenty of rotation going on, and Charles Harris will get plenty of opportunities to show some improvement. Also returning this season is Andre Branch, who had a down season last year as he was maligned by minor injuries. William Hayes also returns, and although he was also hampered by injuries last season, Hayes continues to be a productive player in run support and is probably our best edge setter.
Robert Quinn RDE – 6’4 250
Although we will be rotating players often, Robert Quinn will likely be starting on the right side. If Quinn is healthy, specifically his back, he could be a huge help to the Dolphins defense. Last season used as an OLB in the Rams 3-4 alignment, Quinn managed 8.5 sacks, along with 32 total tackles with 2 FF’s and 2 FR’s. If Quinn can give the Dolphins production like he had in 2013 or 2014, this defense will be significantly better than last year. Unfortunately, it’s been 4 years since he’s done that, but I admire the Dolphins gamble on the former All-Pro DE.
________________________________________________________________________
William Hayes LDE – 6’3 278
Hayes played in 10 games for the Dolphins last season and although he didn’t start, he’s our best run defending end. Hayes will also play some DT, and he will do that on obvious passing downs to give the defense some more of a rush from the middle. Whether he starts or not is unimportant, Hayes will definitely be leaned on for help on the DL, whether it’s at LE or DT.
_________________________________________________________________________
Andre Branch RDE – 6’5 263
Branch had 14 starts last year, but as I previously mentioned, he is 2017 season was marred by minor injuries. Branch’s tackle total dropped from almost 50 to 23, and his sack total was down from 5.5 to 4.5. The Dolphins would be happy with his 2016 production or better, and if healthy, Branch may well be the starter, as they save Robert Quinn for pass rush duties.
_________________________________________________________________________
Charles Harris RDE – 6’3 250
Last year’s first RD pick showed some potential although overall it was not an overwhelmingly successful season. While the rookie showed some explosive get off, he managed only 2 sacks, but did get 23 QB hurries. This season, some of those hurries need to turn into sacks. The Dolphins have enough talent at DE that Hayes won’t need to be leaned on heavily, but there’s no question they need to bring him along from last season. The 23YO will definitely get his pass rushing chances, but he will also get some work in the run game too. It’s time for Harris to start developing into a complete player, and not just a pass rush specialist.
___________________________________________________________________________
Cameron Malveaux DE – 6’5 276
The big Houston Cougars DE showed some flashes last season, mostly in preseason action. He definitely has good size, and the 2 sport athlete (Basketball, Football) has the athleticism to play DE. The 2017 UDFA will get his shot to make the team, but the considerable depth after the Quinn trade will make it more difficult. At worst, Malveaux is a developmental player worthy of the PS.
___________________________________________________________________________
Jonathan Woodard DE – 6’6 271
Woodard was a 2016 7th RD draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars cut him, and then the Atlanta Falcons picked him up and put him on the PS only to release him from the PS which enabled the Dolphins to pick him up and place him on the Dolphins PS. Woodard recorded 15 sacks in 24 (16 starts) games at Central Arkansas, so he certainly made the most of his opportunities there. Another DE with the right size and athleticism who needs to be brought along and developed. Not to be repetitive, but with the current depth, Woodard faces a high climb to make the team.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Claudy Mathieu DE – 6’6 250
The former California-Pennsylvania and Notre Dame (Ohio) Falcons player came into the NFL last season as a 25YO rookie. Another player will excellent physical traits, but a long way to go to being a finished product. The Dolphins picked up Mathieu as an UDFA this season. At the moment, Mathieu is a longshot to make the cut.
______________________________________________________________________________
Quincy Redmon DE – 6’5 240
Redmon was signed by the Dolphins as a 2018 UDFA. The former Fairmont College Fighting Falcon DE was a 2016 was named All-MEC 1st team defensive lineman with 52 total tackles and 12 sacks. Injuries sidelined Redmon in 2017 as a Senior as he missed the final 5 games. Another athletic specimen who faces an uphill climb to make the roster.

D, the tweet said “red zone passer rating” which is not a PFF rating or they’re + 1 – 1 ranking. passer rating has been around a lot longer than PFF.
all it says is that when he was playing very well in 2016 he was doing so in the red zone as well which had been a weakness in previous seasons.
I was just pointing out that it wasn’t one of their arbitrary stats but rather someone else’s arbitrary stat that has been accepted for a long time as a fair measure of the passing game performance
I still stand by my assertion that it is not a quarterback rating but rather a passing game rating
Maybe it’s a fake rating?
It is a fake rating its PFF’s spin on how they think the ratings should work.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2016/redzone-passing.htm
Rock heres another redzone rating with stats Ryan had 11 tds and 0 ints, but Rodgers had 33-0, so….you might need to rethink what you just wrote.
But Tanny only had 46 redzone attempts to Rodgers’ 115. And was better at both yards per attempt and completion percentage, which go into the standard QB rating.

Re: The convo last night about Gase’s play calling last year. Totally unfair, IMO. Nothing went right from TC on through the season with RT and OL injuries. Some seem to forget who our QB was and the fact we were always playing from behind. I just think it is ridiculous to judge play calling last year based on all the factors/distractions involved.
Exactly, and if anyone doesn’t agree, then try to make the same argument the suck for Luck year in Indy. You cant judge an offense/playcalling when the starting QB isn’t playing.
It wasn’t the play-calling just last year. I know everyone likes to throw last year out but it counts just as much as the year before. Nobody ever thinks that maybe 2016 turned out the way it did because everything went right and you can’t expect that every year either. You can’t pick and choose. A champion is someone who overcomes adversity not someone who succumbs to it. All that really matters is what we do this year. I’m cautiously optimistic.
Yeah, I also mentioned numerous times it wasn’t just about last year. I also mentioned that there are reasons to be optimistic (nobody cares about that part, it’s just “no you can’t talk about last year. Last year doesn’t count”). Part of the reason I am optimistic is because I know there were a lot of factors that caused us to fail last year.
It’s nearly impossible to get people to read the entire conversation (or maybe it’s comprehension) and include all the factors of the conversation instead of just picking and choosing the particular pieces they disagree with while completely disregarding anything that qualifies your statements. Much easier to say “nuh-uh”.
And why does it always have to be all or nothing? Why can’t all the factors that have been mentioned be a valid part of the problem, AND Gase also still needs to develop as a play caller?
There have been games (including last year and ’16) I thought the play calling was part of the problem from the beginning (said this already). We didn’t start every game down 20 points. As far as I recall every game started 0-0, lol.
Also mentioned more than once, Gase himself has said his play calling needs to be better on more than one occasion. He’s also stated he always wants to throw it and needs to be reigned in sometimes. He knows he’s up and down.
Also stated more than once, all I did is say it’s something that needs to be proven this year. That is it. He needs to show he can be more consistent in his calling (while at the same time I was being optimistic about it).
The crazy thing to me about this stupid argument is I think things are going to come together for us this year. I think Gase knows his play calling needs to be more consistent and he has shown he can be balanced (2nd half of ’16) so I am optimistic. I love the moves we made this year. I think Tannehill is good enough to take us the distance. I love our secondary. I love our RBs.
And I have been optimistic and vocal all off season about all these things, but the fact I want to see Gase be more consistent in his play calling is just completely unreasonable. I also want to see the oline play better, and the LBs be better, and see more consistent pressure on the QB. I’ve also said all this already for fucks sake. Sue me for thinking Gase has room to grow and I want to see that growth.
I’m pretty optimistic, but not in the next year is the year way. Rather that they made a smart move by stepping back and trying to reconfigure. Cause the roster we had with the prices just wasn’t gonna be that team, especially since even in best case scenario our true contender status would have been 2-3 years away.
I don’t even know how to make a play calling comparison. 2016 Gase made clear that going Ajayi was not his vision, but went with it cause it was working. And didn’t hurt that we had a lot of bad teams to play where you can win by pound the rock (even if a bunch of them were still close).
And then last year we had Cutler instead of Tanny. Two real different QBs, especially since Cutler’s main concern seemed to be making the O-Line look good by not give up sacks. And that showed towards end of year with all the quick release plays…. which assume was cause they knew that was all they could do with Cutler.
Figure just gotta see what happens.
Stanger,
“I don’t even know how to make a play calling comparison.”
YES! That is a great point and one I should have made myself, because THIS is how I feel. I need to see how he does with the team he wants built in his way. The team has been in flux since he got here. I’ve seen bad and good from him, but there are always factors that go into that.
How can anyone say Gase’s playcalling is good or bad and nothing we have to watch when we have only the the 1st half of ’16 which was bad, the 2nd half of ’16 which was good (all with an inherited team), and you have to throw out last year. We don’t have enough sample size.
Me at the fest this year
We’ll be carrying you out of the stadium I guess?
Fortunately for you I have lost about 30 lbs
LOL – We have enough people to handle it.
When Rock reads that will be thinking….. gonna have to make an extra batch of homeraid.
LOL I thought homeraide was in never ending supply
Just need camp to start. This is the football doldrums now
LMAO.
Maybe we can have another discussion about whether or not we need a power running back. LOL
LOL, I have the vid for that one too.
Kong is the video master 👍
Case’s playcalling has been inconsistent and suspect since he got here. It’s pretty much been my biggest complaint with him. His actions don’t match up to his words. He says this is what we want to do and then he doesn’t do them. I’m sure there will be excuses made on his behalf though. I read some of them up the page already.
Awesome avatar
In regards to play calling I think some of it is on Gase and some of it is personnel. Our OL has been wildly inconsistent and injury riddled for much of Gase’s 2 years here. When the OL has been healthy he has run a pretty consistent and balanced offense.
He does that just to give us blog fodder
I love to argue and debate. When (or if) I notice my wife starting to look at me like “I really can’t stand you right now”, I just come to this board, write something, there will ALWAYS be someone who disagrees, I can argue and debate trivialities for a day or two until I get it out of my system, then life goes on.
This place may be the most integral factor of my happy marriage, lol.
Thank you.
The end.
We are happy to provide an important public service here
I would probably pay for the service. Maybe even up to as much as I pay for Netflix. 🙂
LOL Cav — your wife must be more even-tempered than mind. When I get the look there is no doubt that I am gonna GTF out of the place. Only Q is whether it is time to go to the grocery store, dry cleaners or….. heck to check out what new yarn they have at the knitting store. 🙂
LOL, yes my wife is very even keeled. That being said, like you, I still know when it’s time to GTF out. 🙂
There is only one cut date now (Sept 1st), right?
Oh yeah, you’re right, that takes effect this year.
Sept 1st to get down to 53.
When they first announced this change I thought it was a good thing as it would give you more time to evaluate your players. But people brought up that it also gives you less opportunity to pick up cast offs from other teams that might fit an area of need for your team.
It’ll be interesting to see if the change has any quantifiable effect or not.
Kong – Randy would have to sell his bucket if he we charged, I can’t bear that
LOL, we definitely can’t have that.
Kong,
I think second guessing play calling is just tough to do because we don’t have all the information the coaches have. I just think we’ve seen certain patterns or tendencies that I question. As I’d said before, it’s hard to be creative and open up the playbook when guys aren’t executing. We first need to get to a point where we can execute basic plays. Again, this is where I wonder how this team practices. We have just seen far too much poor execution and inconsistency for 2 years. Ok, last year was a mess, but that’s no excuse for some of the lack of discipline and execution we saw. Come on…it’s professional football…..and I do think it points to a lack of leadership….either in the offices or the locker room or both. Just my .02 worth, of course.
Just between you and me (I’ll code it so only you can read it).
I have all the same concerns, but I AM optimistic. I think D put it nice and succinctly yesterday. Gase now mostly has the team he wants, it’s a put up or shut up year.
Most of my playcalling complaints have to do with use of personnel, with the role players and fringe guys in particular. M. Gray had one reception last year. That’s completely criminal. Guys like like drake and grant didn’t really get opportunities until injuries hit. I like Vase and there’s a lot to like, but these are my pet peeves with him. If he wants to be a perennial playoff coach he needs to get more out of the roster.
Randy, I don’t see a reason to feel negative about anything with this team at this time because they seem healthy at this point and nothing bad has happened. I’m cautiously optimistic because as we know even if there is potential on this team to be good, not everything pans out the way you hope. There are always injuries and some players won’t play at the level you hoped for. We just don’t know who they will be yet. Hoping for the best. I think we Dolfans deserve a good season. 🙂
I think there are so many question marks about this team right now it is hard for me to get a sense for what this team is going to do this year. We are have a largely re-done OL. Big changes at WR and LB. We have Tannehill back but he needs to stay healthy. I just don’t know what to think of this team this year. I generally think too much change for us to be a contender this season but hopefully we will be next season
Feel the same way. Part of watching to see what kind of team we are is exciting, a 1-3 start might change that, lol. Yet we started off 1-4 in 2016 and made the playoffs. In 2017 we started off 4-2 and finished 6-10. So you never know.
At worst I hope it’s a fun season where the games are good and with 4 to go we still have a shot at the playoffs. If we’re out of it midseason, I give up! LOL
Randy, I said it’s not fair to judge Gase on last years play calling but you hit the nail on the head for me with your 1:51 post.
I do remain optimistic for this season as I have in every past season, but, Shhhhhh, (whispering)this year the optimism feels different.
I should lay down some kool Guitar to all these excuses, add a train and a dog with a limp… it would be a real tear jerker!
Gase got his guy that he had been working with for years in Cutler, What he should have done last year is make running the ball his top priority….didn’t he learn anything from 2016?
he didn’t do that and the end result is evident. What makes anyone think he’ll change his play calling in 2018? he wants to throw the ball.
he doesn’t get a pass for 2017, injuries are part of the game, every team has injuries.
As we earned last year, a dog with a limp and some kool guitar is a real cool combination.
earned = learned
I see what you did there.Pretty clever 🐕🎸🎼🥃
This team is not the 2017 team in a lot of ways. Focused on 2018. This season matters more than last season for a lot of people.
I feel bad for Andrew Luck. His career is really being threatened. He still can’t throw everyday heading into TC. Think about that, then starting a game and getting hit. He might end up Romo early in his career. Wish him the best, he makes the league better if he can play.

Cover your eyes, y’all. I’m not sure I’d rank us this low, but my repeated concern with our team (I’ve said it 1,000 times already) is our run-D… particularly up the middle.
We sucked WITH Suh, so it’s not about losing him, either.
We weren’t that bad against the run overall. We had some bad games. We were 14th against the run and 16th against the pass. Middle of the road, not bad.

2017 Play-Action Offense

EXCELLENT JOB last year with the play-action passing! The only unfortunate matter is that we ranked #28 without play-action passing… that should change this year for the positive.
2017 Play-Action Defense

Conversely, here are the number on play-action for our Defense. Seems as though we sold out on the run all too often (biting on the fake). This is problematic… and perhaps a symptom of our lack of run-D last year.
Tim Knight says:

————–
Yes, we sure could have been worse. I really hope Raewkon is the definitive answer for us at the MIKE and that Jordan Phillips can finally be all he can be. Is so, we’re going to be much better this year.
To me the issues with the LBs last year was we went through all of them. There really was no cohesion. Even the secondary was a work in progress. The defense is set up to be more cohesive this year. Quite a bit of talent to work with.
It’s a lot to put on a rookie but I think Minkah is going to be a immediate impact player. I think it’s simply who he is. He doesn’t have many cons in his game. Guys like that can change a team.
I’m not concerned about Minkah as he’ll be just fine. I AM concerned about our run-D… perhaps overly so.
Minkah is part of it. He reads stuff and blows shit up!!!

😀
Remember that our offense gave up 5 turnover TDs in that 24.6 PA stat last year. The coaches have to try to cut down on the negative plays and penalties this year.
Tim,
I’m ALMOST as enthusiastic as you are for a season of success this year, Bro. I AM getting psyched!
If we can stop the run and if Tannehill FINALLY spreads the ball around, we’re going very far this season, IMO.
GO PHINS!!!
I’m still a bit guarded. LOL
LOL
Morning guys, Yes I agree stopping the run is of utmost importance to the teams sucess.
Miami,s best seasons ever are when they actually have a top defense.
Middle of the road defense will mean we are a middle of the road team.
Minks is gonna beast for Us, and be the leader of the D !
Regarding playcalling. I don’t think Gase should get a pass on poor playcalling but I agree that there were some extenuating circumstances. That being said there were many times in the last two years I said WTF !? I can point my finger many times and say that was a stupid playcalling why did you do that? But I believe it was Tim who said if the execution of the play works then people don’t question the play caller. That bubble Screen on third down and eight was absolutely genius when the wide receiver breaks it for 60 yards and a touchdown !!
The play call comes before the execution.
So,,,
There is room to debate that poor playcalling will often result in poor execution rates.
Because it is much more difficult to execute a shitty call, especially one that the defense is expecting.
A play call is only shitty if it isn’t executed well
Chicken meet egg
I forget which version of madden it was, but Ricky Williams was on the team. Anyway there was one run formation that for what ever reason was “unstoppable” I was garranteed to get 4+ yards ever time I called it or if it got stopped I could audible and just flip the direction of the run and still pick up the yards. I could call the play hurry up back in line flip the play right again call the play run the hurry up back in line and repeat and no one could stop me. Made my brother rage quit many times. The play calling was executed perfectly every time but it was bad playcalling to call it every play.
Most knowledgeable coaches allow their QB to audible pending the defensive positions
I din’t think that is Gase’s style though. You seen those interviews with Peyton where he bitches about Gase not letting him change the play when he wanted. 🙂
Agree with this guy’s take on the whole anthem thing, least as it applies to us. Also good summary of how we got pulled into it if you haven’t caught. Also interesting in there is one thing you can get suspended for is riding a motorcycle. Assume that is in the CBA.

Amen Stanger!
omg Tony Sparano just died. Such a nice man.
Oh man, that’s just awful. RIP Tony
What? How? This is sad.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/tony-sparano-vikings-offensive-line-coach-and-former-dolphins-head-coach-dies-at-56/
Man he was too young. I wonder what the cause was but whatever it was he has died and that’s sad. RIP Tony
Did he fist pump as he went out? I am a bad man
Was never really sure he was the coach for us, but you couldn’t help but like the guy. And only 56.
Bummer, Sorry to hear about Tony Sporano, good guy, I liked him a lot!!
Mann that’s crazy, just 56, younger than me and probably took good care of himself…
That’s F’d-up, Sad, positive vibes to his family/friends, RIP Tony 😇!!!
😔
Wow….so sad. Good guy, just over his head as HC. Way too young…..
I’ll fist pump in honor of him this year.
RIP
So it is not just me:
Seems years from now we will look back at him for the fist pump and the Wildcat. Maybe being Parcells guy too.
Gase allows his QBs to audible, not sure where it came from that they can’t.
http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/198684/dolphins-adam-gase-ryan-tannehill-has-freedom-to-audible
Sounds like it was a heart attack. Tony went to the hospital on Thurs complaining about chest pains.
Play calling has been questionable and brilliant. Having players available to execute and executing can drive this, too.
Agreed. They have to know what the heck they are doing for Gase to be able to open up the play book…
I remember him grumbling something about certain player(s) not studying and knowing it…..
He simplified the offense because some guys weren’t getting it.
Wow. RIP Tony Sparano. Younger than I am. Very sad.
Wow, sad to hear about Tony Sparano. He always struck me as one of the good people.
Dolphins fans will always remember you for the wildcat, being 2008 AFC East champions, and the fist pump.
RIP coach
RIP Tony, peace and condolences.
I remember the unveiling of the wildcat in Foxboro, and our playoff appearance, thanks for the wonderful Memories.
We were a one win team and started the 08 season 0 and 2, with a road game in NE up next.
We all remember what transpired from there!
I would be ok if this years team dedicated the season to Coach Tony.
Reports and tweets are out that Tony was getting ready to go to church and his wife found him unresponsive in the kitchen.
Mrs. Sparano attempted cpr, and called 911, but sometimes things happen or come to be without our understanding.
I wish the best for His family in this difficult time.
Dang, RIP Tony, Fist Pump to you coach!
I was sitting next to a Pats fan during this game in a sports bar and I was like wait what the hell did we just run? He said that was a direct snap to Brown. Then as the day game wore on he was getting more and more pissed off. LOL
Glad to see all the love for coach Sparano. Regardless of the team results he was a class act and a good guy. Really sad to hear of his death.
Tim – The relief pitcher we got (Bobby Wahl) from the A’s seems pretty decent, 65 K’s in just 39.2 innings. Too many walks at 17, but hopefully they can fix that. The f’ed up thing about the infielder we got is he was the A’s 17th ranked prospect, and from everything I hear, our farm system is so bad, and yet he’s (Will Toffey) ranked as our #20 prospect now. LOL
LOL, was this the Familia trade?
Yes. I was way off. I thought we might get a top 5 prospect for him, but I forgot he’s a free agent next season, which really devalues him. If he was as good as Aroldis Chapman, and he was going to a potential world series team, we might have gotten more, but that wasn’t the case.
At least Toffey is young (23) and at 3B, a position we need some development at.
This was from Jake Long
Very touching.
Yes, it was
Jake is another real good guy. And he shows it by putting this out so quick.
So sad, RIP Coach Sparano.
Very saddening to hear that Coach Sparano passed away earlier today. The man was so very passionate and his players absolutely LOVED him. Thank you for the wonderful memories, Coach.
RIP, Tony Sparano
RIP, Tony. Had the team.
Can’t scroll and read all of it.

Nah doesn’t work. I run into this from Twitter all the time. Maybe you have to have an account.

Enough with the playcalling, when the team sucks it’s hard to know which asshole is going to fuck up the play. We saw Gase call plays that resulted in the best O in the history of the game. Who cares if he cant calls plays for a shitty O? Where is that team going anyways?
In Gase I trust.
If the guy was an asshole when he was alive he’s still an asshole when he dies, and I’ll be the first one to say so. However, Tony as much as I knew was a great guy, and I didn’t appreciate the joke about his passing above.
I hear ya.
What we seem to forget is how detrimental a missed long FG is to a team. You miss from 50 and the other team gets the ball on their 40, so a fist pump for any made FG always made sense to me.
Look at our roster, we all seem to know the guys that are locks, I can count about 40. Which one of those wouldn’t you want on the field? Our depth is pretty good.
David,
Hey, Bruh!!! Good to see ya here! Didn’t want to neglect the fact I saw ya post earlier! 🙂
Ditto!
🤛😢
Wow, shocking occurrence and definitely makes me reflect. He died way too young. Rip, Coach Sparano.
Hey guys, good to be back and talk Dolphin football. I’ve been really busy with a lot of different projects, to get My retirement set up. I’m not old yet, but want to get things in order so I can enjoy life while I’m still able.
As we get older, it becomes painfully aware Our health won’t always be there for us! I’m on a health food diet and daily exercise program, so far so good 😎
I bought some Rigel Pharma stocks on Thursday, and was thinking about Rigel, lol
Btw Your stocks should be going up next week
LOL! I wish that I was the CEO of that! 🙂
I have the Robinhood trading platform app on my phone. I love it cause I get unlimited free trades and bank transfers, only have to pay for Margins if I want em.
I buy stocks at 52 week lows that have a chance to turn things around. I get some serious bounces on them, sometimes a hundred percent a day. It started out as an expensive hobby, lol but I got the hang of it using limit buys and sells and got My profile blowing up 😎
I AM interested in getting in, but I’ve got to do my homework before doing as much.
It’s best to start with just a hundred bucks or so til You master it. Once You have confidence, You can put more in.
It’s just buy low and sell high, but there’s a method to the madness.
You have to read the stocks and candlesticks, find a bottom and buy in low as possible, then be patient as hell 😎

Sad to hear about Coach Sparano passing. Like a few here said, he seemed out of place as a HC but he was a great person and I think a pretty damn good OL coach. He was way too young.

Why is it 53/65?
Practice? We’re talking about practice?
Oh, it looked so promising, but another late season fail . . .
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2018-nfl-predictions-prisco-picks-every-game-for-every-team-plus-super-bowl-champion/
He actually picked every game of the season. LMAO!!!!
Crazy, right? I think we were 6-3, not sure, I was getting hyped! 🙂
Just popped in to share a R.I.P. Tony…. regardless of how his time with the Fins ended, I am forever grateful for that 2008 season! I will focus on the signs of ‘hope’ from that 2008 season in our ‘worst to first’ story.
MikeE,
can’t believe the Mets didn’t get better offers for Familia. I think the A’s got a steal in that trade. We traded two “scratch off lottos” and part of our international $ we’d never spend anyway LOL for a proven RP with All Star credentials…. yesterday: 98 mph slider… are you kidding me! once he settled he was throwing some nasty pitches. He and Treinen will make sure A’s don’t lose games if they lead after the 7th inning.
Me too, but he is a rental, and he’s been shaky this season, and last year he was suspended last year for PED’s, so it’s not like his track record the last couple of years is impressive. Still, he’s unquestionably got talent, but he’s also a rental, he’s a FA next season, so that factored in too.
He’ll probably resign with the Mets LOL

KV, nice read on your site. I’m sorry you only have Home talking to himself over there…..
Thanks Rock !!!
And, NEVERMIND!!!
GOFINS!!! 😁
Our site over there had a bunch of Veterans that outright quit on the Dolphins & Shout last year because of the Anthem BS !!!
Pretty scarce around there during the off-season anyways…
Hoping that as usual per year they’ll all return once things start heating up again!!!
GOFINS!!!
I think you guys mean Mon Frere…not fryer or frier or friar. Frere
Yes with the accent thingy on the first e
I have the other accent thingy in my last name. the “accent thingy” in Fr`ere is a l’accent grave (it points back) l’accent aigu ‘ points forward like in Cafe’
I can use the Control button to make them in word or excel but it doesn’t work here on the blog.
Maybe that’s why we signed him. 🙂
If anyone watched the video I put up from GMFB, check out the part where they talk about his TD catches. I think the longest one was 11 yards. Gesicki, Drake, Wilson and Amendola will easily replace those.
I assume Landry?
Ya, Landry
Well I thought anything over 10 yards doesn’t count anyways, so what’s the point😉
9 was the longest.
Damn, they all count😁
RIP Tony
Good to see you again David
Cespedes
Cespedes is a heel
Is anyone on here a “Sr.” as in the father of a “Jr.” not as in a Senior, hell most of us fall into that category…
if there are do you go by “xyz” Sr. or do you just call Jr. Jr? I noticed a while ago that Steve Smith is calling himself Steve Smith Sr. now….
Is that just his way of letting everyone know he is so egotistical that he named his son after himself? That, beside differentiating yourself for the social security admin is the only reason I can think of for calling yourself Sr.
According to KV’s site, there’s a certain poster that claims Tannehill has had 3 leg injuries. They’re multiplying!
I thought he had his leg replaced. LOL
LOL Mike 😝, and Thanks for reading/visiting 😁😎!!!
Too funny Knight!!!
Thanks Tim – Yeah, so 9 yards. We can replace that
It goes right along with his 8.8 YPCA.
Don’t be so sure, 9 yards is ideal🙄
Mike Gesicki with it. na na na na na na na hey!
Mike Gesicki with it. na na na na na na na hey!
LOL – Nice!
Did anyone else notice that when they were really hot chick and the three dicks on GMFB were talking about Tannehill they had his “low light” real playing in the background? They only showed sacks, Int’s and fumbles…..
notice when the NOT notice when they were….
WTF are you trying to say😁
Is this some sort of new language? LOL

Reply
That is only for RUNNING! (and only in Rob’s world) Myself? I like the RB who runs for a first down on 6% or more of his first down runs…
Yeah, I thought the point was to get first downs.
I guess not on first down. We only want to get first down on 2nd or 3rd downs.

Damn, they all count😁
😉 LOL They are all under 10 yards!
isn’t that what the morning show on NFLN is called? The really hot chick and the three dicks?
don’t google that by the way. You will probably not like the results left on your browser search bar….
LOL – Yes, they showed a bunch of INT’s and fumbles for Tanny
“””Don’t google””” LMAO @ Rock !!! 😂
What the show morning dicks of three hot chick it be.
is that English?
No idea, I’m trying to learn your language. Was it good? LOL
Joda?
Um, yeah….Yoda…WOW
Did anyone else notice that when the really hot chick and the three dicks on GMFB were talking about Tannehill they had his “low-light” real playing in the background? They only showed his sacks, Int’s and fumbles…..
There I corrected it. LOL Ball busters
That wasn’t so hard was it
on GMFB they have three dicks and a hot chick, here we have a bunch of BB’s and a hot chick, although the hot chick has been missing for a while
She made a cameo yesterday, to throw some well wishes Sparoano’s way, as expected.
Ah, I missed it. Glad she’s still lurking about. I know she’ll be here more once we get into TC and preseason games
Now, I say this in jest and do not want to get beaten over the head repeatedly for it.
What hot chick? Herd says she is older than Sparano was!
Let the beatings commence!
Actually Peter Schrager has given the Dolphins props all offseason and thinks they will surprise people this year. I like that show and they usually rotate a 4th person with guests when one of them is off.
