Today HOF Miami Dolphins LB Nick Buoniconti passed away. He was the leader of the “No Name Defense” that helped the Dolphins win two Super Bowls. He was a very charitable, impressive individual outside of sports. He will be sorely missed.
RIP Nick Buoniconti
So training camp is here and I’ve failed to feel any excitement other than the dact that it started. I don’t think it’s the team’s fault necessarily, i think it’s just the nature of practices, how short they are, and how much less physical they have to be to meet today’s safety standards. We also had one of our coaches fired this week, pretty odd at this juncture. You could look at this a few different ways. If you want the positive spin, it’s great that Flores recognized a deficiency early enough and immediately took action. Some guys may have waited around to see if there was any improvement which could easily have cost us some poor play early on. Also on a positive spin, putting the O-line in the hands of Dave DeGuglielmo is a good thing as he is a very experienced coach, coaching since 2004. If you want to look at the negative side, Flaherty wasn’t a great hire for the rookie Head Coach Flores. He was also previously the O-line coach in 2017 for the Dolphins and I needn’t remind you we were awful as per usghe at that time. In any case, let’s hope for the best in this regard.
I was hoping to see some player really show well, and so far it’s just been a whole lot of “eh”. We signed former Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns, who played briefly last year for the Cowboys. I really liked Hurns when he was tearing up the league along with Allen Robinson at Jacksonville. If we get something close to that Allen Hurns we did very well. I was unrealistically hoping for a strong start from QB Josh Rosen. I didn’t really expect it this early but was hoping for a surprise. Instead we found out he never had to identify the MLB in any stop in his football career. Seems so odd to me, I thought it was a given. This doesn’t make him any less a QB, but just something he will need to learn, and Josh Rosen has been a player who studies the game, so bet on him getting this down, as well as the offense too.
Anyone think maybe Charles Harris would be tearing things up? Another thing I hoped for, but it’s very early yet, and he’s going to have a chance to make some hay as the preseason games begin 8/8, just a week and a half away! One guy who the coaches seem to be very high on early on is LB Jerome Baker. He’s going to be an impact player, taking off from where he left last year. He can do it all, run, tackle, cover and rush the passer and he will be asked to do all of those things. An early revelation has Minkah playing mostly slot corner, but I would think by the time the season starts, he will be doing a lot more as he did last season. As long as he’s doing things he’s great at, let it happen.
Things I look for to change in the next couple of weeks. I want Gug’s to try and find that starting 5 as quickly as he can and get them playing together as much as possible. I think the earlier we do that the better chance we have of having a cohesive unit out there. I also want to see guys take step forward, especially the aforementioned Charles Harris and Josh Rosen. Whether Rosen begins the season as the starter is not crucial to me, but to know he’s good enough to do so if needed is. I would really like it if he makes leaps and bounds in understanding the offense and making better throws under duress. If he doesn’t accomplish this, we may not see him this year as a starter unless of course something happens to Fitz or he just plays awful, neither of which I want to see.Training camp runs until Aug 6th, and then our forst game action as I mentioned will be August 8th at home against Atlanta.
GO DOLPHINS!
#staythecourse
these celebs eichner and bush boycotting a gym because ross is throwing a fund raiser for trump is ridiculous, i think i’ll be boycotting them in the future.
what they are saying is…” if you don’t think like me then i will do my best to destroy you”
i just want everyone to know…that dolphin flying thru the ring of fire on that helmet…..
………..is a republican!
LOL!
Heβs a Libertarian. Stay out of his business and he will stay out of yours.
and you should mind your own business as well
Easy there Hoss, I think Rock missed one of these π
Unfortunately we can’t trade stills now even if they were thinking about it before Stills called out Ross. It will cause a huge stir for sure. I wanted to trade Stills every since he took that pussy slide short of the first down against the Pats last year. Can’t now though. People will turn it into a huge controversy.
Only if you care about hurting somebodies feelings! π
If there’s a bad apple on the team, you have to nip it in the bud, before it gets contagious. To hell with what anyone says.
Right
He probably has some trade value
I actually donβt think his statements hurt any value other than in the manner Rosenβs value was hurt bc everyone knew AZ wanted to trade him
We should probably keep him unless some one gives up something of value
I donβt think a conflict between owner and player is going to effect the team on the field. Itβs not like 2 players fighting. Itβs just going to keep the media busy and we will all be tired of this controversy very quickly
Given Rossβ thinking and history I donβt think heβs he guy to slam his Fist down in anger at Stills – heβs probably going to keep a cool head about it, and I think he respects a players right to have his own political opinion
That’s not an issue of having a political opinion, stills (no longer capitalizing due to lost respect) crossed the line. Again the inmates cant control…
M13 and TOP, great to see you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is the end near for the Patriots dynasty? Tom Brady has said numerous times that he wants to play until he is 45 years old, but recent news has some people thinking that the best quarterback in NFL history may call it a career at the end of the season. π€
I would like to see him physically decline on the field
I donβt want him to go out with grace
I would like to see him be one of those guys who numbers going down and down and down and stubbornly refuses to retire
If there is one thing we can embrace about bradys legacy itβs his decline when it finally happens
I would preferred to see injury after injury after injury start to add up
I’d like to see what both of you wrote.

Go fuck yourself iβll mine whatever business I want on a blog Iβll reply to whoever I want and Iβll say whatever I want

and so will i fucktard
You canβt have a non profit with this mission statement then open your doors to Trump.
You can’t play on an NFL team, bash your owner and expect to stay on said team.
Stills dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out (I normally … that, but I wanted to give stills the full FU).
I hope Stills catches 10 TDS for the dolphins this year
Tension!
Some folks need to listen twice! π
Oh I see. Another one of those two guys I like bickering.
No!
I think Rock had it right!!
Everyone seems to have Pre-Bunched panties on these days!
Myself included!
Fuck that, I want to see Rosen, Gesicki, Baker, Deiter, Harris, Wilkins and Ballage.
you tell me to stay out when sticking your nose in, I tell you the same thing and you’re offended.
You’re a pretty fucked up individual,

i don’t have the time to argue with you today so just continue buffing your head and i’ll go away.
Steve
I think stills statement qualifies as a political opinion
Albeit, I agree, End of the day Ross is the guy in control of the team. There are owners that wouldnβt stand for criticism directed at them – But I donβt get that from Ross
Maybe in time you will see a Stills trade, but the team will probably keep it low key and avoid any Interpretation that itβs in retaliation
And Iβm pretty sure Stills understands that he criticized the top and that can have consequences for him. I donβt think he cares and I suspect if he was cut, he would find another team pretty quickly
Honestly Iβm just upset that we have a new controversy before the season even begins
It’s a political opinion, but out of line. Why is it ok for him to bash Ross in this Trump related way, but if the shoe was on the other foot Ross would be called a racist?
It’s the hypocrisy of the left.

LOL at the addendum, but even then sometimes it just doesn’t cut it.
HE is a Libertarian (the Dolphin) stay out of HIS business and HE will stay out of yours
It was a joke about an non-existant entity (the dolphin) that can be neither Republican, Democrat or Libertarian in reply to your joke that he is a republican.
I never told you to but out of anyone’s business. I was describing the dolphins political views (those of a Libertarian) and you told me to mind my own business. Fucktard and bald jokes? really fucking juvenile .
