I’m just thrilled to be able to get stymie in a headline, even if we’re on the wrong side of it. It was almost destiny guys and girls, you could almost feel that Eli was supposed to get a good game in what most likely was his final game in front of his home crowd at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. A little feel good moment for the QB is who in the process of being ousted by this year’s #6 pick, QB Daniel Jones. The future of the Giants is #8 (Daniel Jones), but for a day, all was copacetic in northern Jersey and the fans got a nice memory of Eli playing well enough to win. Let’s face it, Eli’s record with the Jints the last 3 years is 9-26. If this seems like a Giants article, my apologies. Not gonna deny the fact that this game was not about our team, and I’m not insinuating that it was fixed or preordained or anything, but it sure did follow the story line of Eli going out on top.
On our side, Ryan Fitzpatrick is such a gamer it’s impossible not to admire and respect his efforts each and every week. On a positive note, Ryan Fitzpatrick was NOT the leading rusher this week. We actually very quietly had some success rushing and Laird and Gaskin combined for 88 yards rushing, Laird had 46 yards on 12 carries and Gaskin averaged nearly five yards a pop with 43 yards on 9 carries. DeVante Parker added 2 more TD’s coming off his concussion last week and continues to be a very bright spot and a beacon of hope for the future of this team.
While I want to see Josh Rosen play, at this point I think if I were Brian Flores it would be very difficult to tell Fitzpatrick to grab some pine the way he has played. He has been literally sacrificing his body every game for real, the anti Jay Cutler if you will. Not only that, but Fitzpatrick is playing pretty well, certainly well enough for the team to win. Our defense seemed to be willing to cooperate with the happy send off this week, but I think they will be back this week. A few more of our youngins have gone on IR, DB Ken Webster and Ken Crawley. Each and every week it’s a shuffle in the defensive backfield.
It’s an odd time, you want to see the team play well but you’re also cognizant of the fact that a loss while disappointing may put us in a position to get a player we covet. In the past I would always prefer the loss to get the player I want but I think our team isn’t going to be a team of susperstars, but rather a team of guys who can certain things well and are willing to do what they need to do as well learn various things to help the team. In other words, if we can’t get Chase Young, don’t sweat it. We’re going to get selfless players here, and I think we’ll be a better team for it.
GO DOLPHINS!!
#staythecourse

FYI Rock
Derrick Henry has 5 – 100 yard games this season
And yet has over 1300 yards for an avg of 4.9
It’s eerily similar to Ajayi in 2016
If good running backs had over 100 yards in all 16 games
There would be a lot more 2000 yard running backs in nfl history
Stat heavy games here and there go hand in hand with productive running backs
Especially power backs
That break down the defense
Now you really have me going
This is Walter Payton’s 1986 season
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PaytWa00/gamelog/1986/
This is 81
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PaytWa00/gamelog/1981/
See a trend?
The legend survives I guess. You DID NOT just try to compare Jay Ajayi and his three good games to Walter Payton? I will not even click the link. PFFFFTT!
Oh boy Rock….The point went way over your head
Season after season, good, great, hall of fame running backs have seasons like that
And those seasons help the offense
If you rush for one 200 yard game, defensive coordinators will lose sleep over that all year
It’s pretty normal for a rb to have a few heavy games
Rushing for 100 yards or more for 11 games in the season will actually get you into a tie with several other players for 3rd most all time in a season
Its not a very good argument to criticize a RB for only have a few good games a season
It’s not the anomaly you are making it out to be
Todd Gurley had 6 100 yard games last season
Not sure if anyone posted this, but thought it was interesting commentary on the X contract extension.
Nice! If his ability drops off next year, we’re basically only stuck with one more year after that before we can cut him with very little cap hit. So glad The Baum is gone.
Exactly.
LOL at the continuing Tannehill debates as if he’s the only QB that benefits from a good running game. He’s playing well for the Titans. Why not just leave it at that. He still has to make the throws regardless of who’s running that ball.
Go Tanny — hope he is AFC player of the next week.
only because it may help our draft pick position
Grier really needs to hit it out the park. I’m expecting/hoping for big things.
Really easy to get a lot of hits when you go to bat three times more than the other guys. Bet you our draft grades by the experts are off the charts.
You should be able to get YOUR guys with all the draft capital you have. Use 13 to get 5 starters and picks next year. High standards?
I figure 5 first and second picks should be 4 or 5 starters. And who knows who might surprise? Also figure around $120 mil in cap room should be 3-5 more. Gonna be a real different roster in 2020.
I would love to see Fitz back. Rosen can sit another year and learn. Look at Garapolo, Rodgers, and Brady, just to name a few.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2020/story/_/id/28266417/meet-2020-nfl-draft-quarterback-class-everything-know-joe-burrow-tua-tagovailoa-more
Decent article about the upcoming QB draft class.
For those who care?
Love is playing his bowl game now!
2020 is almost here.🤪
Not impressed by Love. Crum was far better tonight when Love was trying to go out with a win against a 6-6 MAC team.
“Stat heavy games here and there go hand in hand with productive running backs

Piggy – You forgot to factor in the all important Over-10-Yards-on- First-Down-Doesn’t-Count rule.
3 Chase Young, EDGE Ohio State
22 Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE Penn State
23 Alex Leatherwood, OT Alabama
35 C.J. Henderson, CB Florida
59 Rashard Lawrence, IDL LSU
67 Anthony Gordon, QB Washington State
149 Julian Blackmon, S Utah
151 Ezra Cleveland, OT Boise State
162 Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB LSU
180 Denzel Mims, WR Baylor
188 Reggie Floyd, S Virginia Tech
217 Jacob Breeland, TE Oregon
If we were able to land/add Young, Gross-Matos and Lawrence to our DL, that would be awesome. I think we really need to improve our defense to keep us in games and also solidify the OL.
I went with a 3rd round wild card at QB. Gordon is a gun slinger, needs to work on his footwork but is an interesting prospect.
Anthony Gordon, Washington State: A junior college transfer, Gordon had to wait until his redshirt senior season to get a shot, backing up Gardner Minshew II in 2018. But it’s paid off for the 6-foot-3 passer. Gordon was among the nation’s leaders in most categories, including 5,228 passing yards (first) and 45 touchdowns (second). He had a 600-yard game and nine 400-yard games. He had a nine-touchdown game. Gordon’s plus-arm and great field vision will be on display at the Cheez-It Bowl against Air Force on Dec. 27. Gordon has also accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl.
Could he be a legit back-up from the start? Cause sounds like if w e roster him gonna have to be on the 53. PS and is gone.
Gordon’s 9 TD game against UCLA.
It’s great these ladies visit the troops, but when ever see they are gotta admit think Apocalypse Now.

I know we’ve stayed away from politics the last 3 weeks!
but what’s going on in Virginia is some scary shit!
https://twitter.com/watchingeye/status/1208434858122498050?s=20
Before you say it!
Ya it’s not a very non-biased source!
But I can’t find crap from the MSM!
wyoming — you 2nd Amend guys have not too much to worry about. 5 conservative strong in the High 9. Yeah might be a few things, but the break down your doors to take your guns just ain’t gonna happen.
But the stuff Virginia folks are talking about is part of what would fly. And now the red counties are vowing to defy laws that haven’t even been passed yet. Tempest in a Teapot?
I’m not worried.
This won’t fly in Texas or Wyoming until the cities claim the majority!
But eventually? The cities keep growing! The country side keeps shrinking!
wyoming — it’s just demographics. And if you are worried about the cities taking control biggest worry should be the flip of the suburbs in the 2016 mid-term elections. But 2nd amend is there and strong and real hard to get a constitutional amend in. Might be outlawing high capacity mags or AR 15s……. but armed America will be in our life times at least.
These are great !!
Pensacola’s University of West Florida is facing off today against Minnesota State in the DII football national championship. It is their 2nd trip to the national championship in 3 years and their football program has only been in existence for 3 years.
Damn Bucs!
West Florida with a goal line stop and the 1. Then move 99 yards in 4 plays in 38 seconds for a TD to end the half. UWF up 38-21 at the half. Their QB has thrown for 399 yards and 5 TD’s in the half.
Josh Allen stinkin it up so far.
Snh, f’ing Bills playing small in the big moment.
another miss by Allen
I’M ABSOLUTELY STUNNED WITH WHAT FAU HAS BEEN ABLE TO DO TO SMU IN THE FIRST HALF of today’s BOWL GAME on ABC.
————————————–
FAU leads the 6 and 1/2 point favorite Mustangs 28-14 at halftime!! Just before kickoff, the ABC broadcast crew announced that FIVE FAU STARTERS would not play today, including unanimous 1st team All-American TE Harrison Bryant, who is a lock high draft choice and did not want to risk his financial future by playing in this game. The other 4 starters were out for either academic issues or recent injuries. A fellow who follows college ball much closer than I DO told me “SMU’s high-powered offense will blow away FAU’s defense. This game won’t be close,” he said.
————————————
THIS FELLOW might STILL be proven right. The 10-2 ponies got to a #15 national ranking just a few weeks ago. And a win in this bowl game likely would move them back into the Top 25. –SO they have PLENTY to play for. BUT FAU’s defense has been outstanding so far, even though they are now a bit short of adequate back-ups. FAU’s offense, led by QB Scott Robison and RB BJ Emmons, has looked pretty spectacular so far.
_____________________
FAU to receive the second half kickoff. GOOOOO-O-O Owls !!!!!!!!!
Turrible! 😉
HaHa!!! Belicheat outcoached himself at the end of the half! Tie game.
University of West Florida WINS 48 – 40!!! Their first Division II National Championship in just their 3rd season of starting their football program!!!!!!
Wyo/Stanger – I’m in Virgininia. Most of the things they are talking about will never make it out of the courts. Registration is already a no go (existing case law). But if they try to confiscate, if they can get a law enforcement agency to try, it will be a civil war. This is being driven by urban centers, mainly the DC suburbs. Most of Virginia is rural. Nobody is surrendering their guns..
Ya that Civil war part is what’s bothering me!
You know it won’t stick to Virginia if it starts!
I thought you were in Montana?
It’s not simply the 2nd amendment that prevents confiscation
It’s the 4th amendment
The idea is not simply applicable to guns (if they are illegal) it’s applicable to other illegal property like drugs
Do you ever wonder why if marijuana, cocaine and other drugs have been illegal the gov doesn’t go door to door seizing drugs
It’s bc of the 4th amendment, specifically search and seizure laws
The govt generally doesn’t have the power to search and seize property from some one
More specifically they need probable cause (that’s what search warrants are based on and that’s what permits police to search a car, for example, if they see drugs in plain sight)
Even if we had really strict gun laws, the application is to the sale of guns or they can crackdowns on things like open carry laws
But the 4th amendment prevents some sort of blanket door to door eforcement
I don’t really think that story has a whole lot of teeth
The VA legislature is passing state laws consistent with some of the laws you see in the northeast
And VA is one of those places that has culturally changed significantly in the last couple of decades
Obviously there is still some some conflicts between rural and urban And suburban VA
But three national guard isn’t going to go around knocking on people’s doors…lol
This stories are just out there to rev your engines
People playing the slippery slope argument with gun regulation
There’s nothing credible from the VA governor in either of those stories that indicates they are calling the national guard to go door to door
Gun laws are not likely ever to involve confiscation
The closest they ever get to that is buyback
^
“But if they try to confiscate, if they can get a law enforcement agency to try, it will be a civil war. ” — who is talking confiscate? Didn’t see that proposed. Was “civil war” just a metaphor? Not now but lived 20+ years in VA btwn Richmond and NOVA. ….. find it hard to believe would be armed conflict .
CONGRATS TO YOU, BBM!!
————————————
MEANWHILE THE “SLAUGHTER IN BOCA RATON” mercifully is nearing an end. FAU leads SMU 51-21 with about 3 minutes to go!! Owls will finish 11-3 and could come close to cracking the Top 25 this season.
Awesome!!!

Wanta wish all you guys a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Got an early flight tmrw — even if might still pop in — but wanted you to know my best wishes go to each an every one of you. And that includes Home if he still reads. 🙂
Same to you, Stanger. Enjoy your holidays and travels.
Merry Xmas Stanger have a safe and Fun Trip
Probably not enough OL or DB early but a lot of good players
Simmons is very versatile, he can be our Swiss Army knife
https://twitter.com/theflyingpig44/status/1208756851728355328?s=21
I love that draft
It’s full of pork
Where’s Rock at? Never mind, I will do it…..
It’s game day Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PIGGY: LOVED most of your picks, especially TUA @ #3. But ONLY ONE O-Lineman before pick #168 WON’T get the job done. WE’LL NEED AT LEAST TWO O-Linemen in the first 3 rounds, plus at least 2 more in the late rounds. NO POINT drafting a QB in round ONE if we’re NOT going to adequately PROTECT HIM.
—————-
BEAT THE LIVING SNOT OUT OF CINCY!!!!!
YOUNG STANGER: BEST to U and Mrs. YS. Have a great holiday in, I assume, the land of higher taxes and lower temperatures.
———–
Safe Travels to both of you.
I agree we need to prioritize OL
That sort of draft Only works if we spend big $ on OL in free agency
I think we might pick up at least one high priced OL in free agency and maybe another starter too
Also OD
Most of my drafts do have 2-3 IL in the first 3 rounds
I was really counting on one of the top 2 centers to drop to our 2b pick
But they both went off the board so I took the RB that I love
Stanger – Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you! Enjoy your trip!
Wyo – Was In Montana working and will be going back in a few days. Live in Virginia for now.
Stanger – SB 16, introduced by Dick Slaslaw, calls for banning, mandatory buy back, and confiscation of certain weapons (any weapon with a detachable magazine among other criteria). Anyone not complying would be a felon. No grandfather clause. It’s so crazy you have to read it to believe how crazy it is. As Piggy points out it also violates the 4th. Also bans teaching and training others in firearms use with very broad definitions of those subjects. Sweeping Red Flag laws. Also infringes on the right to gather – no forming of militias. As for civil war and bloodshed, meant it absolutely literally. Not me – I have the wherewithal to just move somewhere else and no emotional ties to Virginia (5th or 6th generation Floridian). But I guarantee that if police or National Guard ever tries going door to door, people will get shot on both sides. And once it happens it will snowball.
The National Guard talk was started by one of the Democratic reps, not the Governor. The governor just said there would be consequences for jurisdictions choosing not to enforce the laws. Kept his threats vague.
Some of it is just posturing as well. When the number of counties declaring themselves 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries hit the 80’s, the governor said he was considering a grandfather clause, but with registration. Also not happening.
It’s a terrible look for Dems. Get a majority for even a second, you try to change the law and steal people’s rights.
Mandatory buyback and confiscation is probably more huff and puff than reality. It’s hard to implement that without violating the 4th amendment Unless it’s a paper tiger. When Beto Orourke said “hell yes we will take your AR15s” I knew he didn’t have an understanding of that application
Limited Banning is legal though (depending on the interpretation of the 2nd amendment)
I don’t know this law real well, I just looked it up now
But I don’t see the restrictions on ownership or confiscation
Maybe I’m missing something – please point it out if I am
Here’s a link

This seems to be routine with some of the big gun rights advocacy groups. They mislead their audiences to believe these apocalyptic results
You can have reasonable gun regulation without getting throwing away the constitution.
But they are in the pocket of gun manufacturers not gun owners…so…everything becomes a the idea that they will come and knock in your door and take your guns, so get ready to shoot them…lol
If we fought a “war on drugs” and didn’t raid the average Americans home, the same follows with any bans on any type of guns
I personally have no interest in taking the guns out of responsible gun owners hands, but I would ban certain sales or transactions of some weapons which can end up in the wrong hands. Of course, opinions vary, and there are plenty of people that want to be like the UK. But I don’t see that ever happening here. It’s not my goal.
Merry Christmas Stanger. Happy and safe travels
Sigh…….Is there a game or something on today?
Wilkins with the TD after almost being embarrassed
Our new fullback
GREAT PLAY!!! CRUSH THOSE DAMN BUNGLES!!!
To bad less than 30,000 people are there to see it live.
You there OD?
We got a sack. I forgot what those were
Looking at our two 1st round busts sitting today(thankfully we didn’t draft one), DE seems like a huge need but the options look limited this year. With just three guys rated in the first round(and Young going probably too quickly), what are the prevailing thoughts here? Where does Epenesa and Gross Matos rate compared to guys like Kinlaw, Brown and Davis? What about compared to OL like Leatherwood, Wirfs, and Willis?
Draft seems loaded with RBs and WRs so we should be able to easily get three starters in the first and probably another two in the 2nd. The draft is lookign really good for us so far.
I think gross-matos is an edge guy
Those four others would be great in the other side of Wilkins
Kinlaw and Davis might be available with our 2n or 2c
If we aren’t drafting a QB
I think the likelihood of filling that DE spot is high
What a catch by Parker
Parker time
Flores letting the boys have fun today
That was fun
Parker = Beast
F’ing Parker
Sometimes it’s just about a coach using the talent on the roster instead of telling his talent what to be
👍
Beating their ass
Idiots on twitter are mad bc we could be securing the number 3 pick
We will find good players. We had no chance at Burrow or Young who are the best two options and while I like Thomas at 3, I don’t mind Tua at 4-6.
As much as I want draft position it is fun to watch the team play well. I like seeing good players make plays like Parker is doing right now
The one pick I would love is Young
And that’s pretty much the number 2 pick
But I think Tua will be there for us at 3 -6
And then if it’s not Tua, if he’s not healthy, 3-6 doesn’t really matter
We can’t lose to the bengals
This game should be the most fun Dolfans have all year
Or Tua at 3. I think we go Tua and I think no one else is willing to risk losing picks to get him early outside of us. If he’s not available because of health, it really doesn’t matter where we pick in the top 10.
The thing about Parker is that so much of his production has been those 50/50 balls
And that’s exactly what he was as supposed to be good at when we drafted him
But Gase had him running slants
Gase blows monkey dick. No offense Kong
My Christmas wish is four more years of Gase in NY.
So true
I agree new age
If anyone takes a big risk on Tua in the top 5, it’s the team with 2 more first rounders
That would make me happy
Me too. A giant Kong wrench would be off our backs.
and if we draft 5
And we select Tua
I’m going to laugh at all the tank for Tua people on twitter who were mad when we won games…
LMAO. Sad thing will be watching our media try to downplay and second guess it after an entire offseason of pushing the narrative. It was disgusting watching them glowingly talk of our rival in Buffalo yesterday.
Parker is just so much fun to watch. I’m really happy for him and us of course. He’s playing like a top NFL receiver.
We actually throw him the ball and say “go get it” and he has always been able to do that
Seriously…I hate to pile on Gase…but I think Parker is a good example of a coach hurting a player
Jets up 10-0 over Steelers. Go Jets. Ugh I need a shower
I agree but 🤢
Jets and Titans doing good work so far. I hate the Steelers almost as bad so it’s like cheering for getting crapped on by a dog instead of a cow.
LOL @ Ken
I would have thrown a challenge flag for PI
Our best RB
I really wish he would reset his feet and throw downfield
It’s fun to watch, but I think if he resets it’s can be a bigger play downfield
I can’t believe Wilson didn’t break that
Fitzmagic
GetSexy!
He’s a weapon now
Parker, Wilson, Gesicki, and Williams
Get us some OL and some RBs
I think Gisecki is another example of Gase not knowing how to use a player
100%
Drake is probably another example of Gase being an issue
But that ship has sailed
Totally agree
LOL… lots of Gase talk. Same can be said for all the coaches after Jimmy Johnson.
It’s just been awful.
Wish I was watching game, but will see later. Looks like a fun game with the scrolls and Wilkins with TD reception. Awesome!
Did he high point it? Big dude and can jump. Ask Goodell.
Another kicker with a career long FG against us
stupid
Only the 2nd time all year I can remember hating Flores’ end half management.
Parker is awesome
Our receiving corps looks fantastic today
Parker and Gisecki are studs
WITH TODAY’S PERFORMANCE BY DANIEL JONES, I’d say there’s no chance the Giants take a QB in round 1. NOT so sure about Washington. But HASKINS has made big plays when given the chance.
KRSHNA: AGREE with you that we haven’t had a good head coach THIS CENTURY!!–Hopefully Flores will end that streak.
That was a given already OD. Giants are happy with Jones. He is going to be a good one
Great job by Gisecki coming back to the ball
Wilkins
I’m really happy to see this. One of the things I was hoping to see after we started to improve was a blowout, hopefully this year. Good teams are supposed to blow out shitty ones. We also had a massive performance meltdown last week so seeing us bounce back in dominating fashion really proves we picked the right HC.
We don’t even look like we belong on the same field as these guys and we playing with the weakest roster in the NFL. 2nd most roster moves in the NFL during the season, 2nd most on IR, lots of talent jettisoned in off-season. Amazing job by Flores.

I think the problem was tannehill, watching him today brings back all the bad memories of the past 7 years.
He can’t get it done without a running game. Shocked, if Titans give him a big contract.
SMH with drafting Tua with our 1st pick. He is going to be injury prone, maybe/probably. If he falls to second round I would grab him just because of his potential though. He could end up being another Russel Wilson.
He is not falling out of the 1st round. He is not falling out of the top 10. He is likely not falling out of the top 5
If we don’t draft him, I bet another team nabs him in the top 10
We will see where he is injury wise
But his injury is the only reason we have a shot at a franchise blue chip QB prospect
RT with a 22 yrs play action then a scramble and long TD pass. I guess he just needs a little ripping. 24-21 Saints. We need Tenn to win and Saints to lost for draft placement.
That was a great play
Now that I’m out, all my fantasy guys are going off.
Cincy about to make this a game. Luckily they chased the points too early, so they still need 3 scores or two 2 point conversions.
We’ve really shut that run game down today.
Mixon got Munsoned.
WooHoo!!!! Defense playing!
The announcer from the Saints game says, they can play with anyone. Ok Captain Obvious, they’re only tied for best overall record in the NFC going into the week…these U75 IQ guys never cease
Well…at least one Harris on our team can get a sack…..LOL. Good job guys! Keep pouring it on!
Gaskin with no vision, ran right to the defender when he had a lot of space to his right. A couple times in this game he’s shown poor vision.
I have noticed that too
Then Gaskin with a very nice blitz pick up on the next play.
I loved his downfield blocking on one of the pass plays to Wilson
Woohoo!! And he gets rewarded with a nice tough TD run!
That was good vision by Gaskin on the TD run
He looked pretty good that whole drive except for the one play. And that TD sealed this game. And Pitt is still down, so Tenn still has a shot next week.
Tannehill having another great game. Just his 3rd TD pass
Threw ^
AFC goes through Balt
Steelers going down! Next week they are at Baltimore.
Jets beat Steelers! Woot! Hopefully Steelers sit at home this playoff season.
Only time I have been happy for a Jets win
Nice vision again by Gaskin
Then he runs out of bounds his next play when we’re trying to kill the clock. Not that it matters at this point, lol.
Noticed that too
It helps to be leading when you want a running game
That’s not good
That was an ugly tackle
Ugh, that was a n ugly tackle. And Jackass Cincy guy is celebrating in a 2 score loss on a play he injures our guy
2 years ago I was a big fan of gaskin
I thought he was coming out to be a part of a deep RB draft
And then he stayed in school
And he already had a ton of carries when he was a junior
And they just kept giving him the ball at Washington
I think staying in school hurt him. He left college with a lot of wear and tear
Saints just put their game away
If the titans win next week and the Steelers lose, the titans are in the postseason
Go Tannehill
This Seiler guy looks pretty good
