The Bye Week Bi-Babe

It’s that time of year (four weeks earlier than originally planned) to announce this years winner of the coveted Bye Week Bi-Babe selection. As usual the voting was very close. As you know candidates are judged by an assortment of available quotes, sexy pics and who has a chance at you guys liking, it isn’t easy. So here she is…

This years winner –

Aubrey Plaza

Congratulations, Ms Plaza. She looks completely thrilled, doesn’t she?

“I know I have an androgynous thing going on, and there’s something masculine about my energy,” Plaza said in an interview with the Advocate. “Girls are into me – that’s no secret. Hey, I’m into them too. I fall in love with girls and guys. I can’t help it.”

We’re honored to have Ms Plaza recognized as this year’s Bi-Babe as the Miami Dolphins move to a new beginning of sorts with this upcoming game featuring Tua Tagovailoa.

It’s Tua Time!

They are talking about Tua starting on espn
Emphasizing that he’s starting vs Aaron Donald

Donald is tearing it up this year(again)
    So I don’t blame them

Also pointed out lack of separation by our receivers
This is a problem for us

Personally I think Forz threw a lot of balls behind receivers and has been late
We might see guys like Grant and Bowden catch some quick slants this weekend and hopefully get a lot of YAC

    Tua throws a great slant
    Watch for it this weekend

    • wyoming85 says:

I was talking the other day to some about “Who would benefit from the Tua change” question.

I think it will be Grant!

If he starts getting the ball in stride, we know he can make people miss!

This may seem a little far fetched, but then again, there’s some crazy stuff that gets posted here. It has crossed my mind more than once that Trump never intended to be President. I think he said he was running the last time and it just took off. I think he was bragging and spewing stuff like he does, and BOOM, he was ahead in the polls. And it went from there, and with some help from the Dems by putting Hillary as his opponent, he won.

After the first debate, it made me think of it again. I think that show was intentional. He never intended to win the first time, and now he’s trying to lose it this time. I think he’s tired of it. He’s able to brag about how the economy was doing before Covid came along, he can blame any problems currently on Covid and get out by losing.

    Stranger things….
    ————————————————————————-
I actually felt the same last election cycle, all the way through the primaries and i think that might have been the turning point where he went for it. Thats one of my little mini conspiracy theories i kinda lend credibility to, again, dont know it but yeah that was something i considered then,.

  12. Ken says:

Trump was wrong to get up and walk out on Leslie Stahl plain and simple. He is the President of the. United States. Its part of his job to be asked questions, even questions he doesn’t like and or thinks are unfair. Obama did it, George W. Bush did it, Clinton did it as did Bush senior and none of them ever acted like a petulant child in the process. Also hyper partisanship is nothing new in American politics. Go back in American history and look at the divide between Adams and Jefferson and how nasty that got. Look at the feud between Hamilton and Burr that resulted in a duel to the death. Look at the race between Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams. Look at how Lincoln was pilloried by the press and his opposition. The scrutiny Trump faces is nothing new or different from an historical perspective and quite frankly it is much more tame than some of the examples I just gave. Sadly the time for Trump to start acting like a President and less like a child has long since passed.

    • pheloniusphish says:

We should go back to allowing duels. That would bring back civility.

      • steveccnv says:

So does Biden, the frail old man wants to take everyone behind the woodshed. The hypocritical left let’s him slide with all his blunders and racist rants.

    • pheloniusphish says:

      And journalism is dead.

      • Ken says:

Journalism is what it always was. Not really different today than ever before.

      • steveccnv says:

Ken, was it partisan 100 to 200 years ago? The left may have controlled it in some fashion, but nothing like the last 4 years.

    • steveccnv says:

He walked out to show how unfair the media is, because, believe it or not there still are some that don’t believe it.

Your partisan rant was just that, and really was completely off. He has taken more tough questions, than any other president. When Biden gets a tough question he either doesn’t answer, calls the person a name or says come on man.

I agree with the president should take tough questions, don’t you think Biden should too and answer them? You don’t need to know, I’ll tell you after the election, WTF?

  13. pheloniusphish says:

New Age – It’s not worth the negative energy. No one is changing their mind and Biden’s supporters are turning the blind eye they accused Trump supporters of turning.

  14. pheloniusphish says:

    • D says:

I mean its like being a parent, but not as attached, you have to overcome, “my kid is going to get hit, and he could get hurt” and as a parent who has a very smallish kid for his age, and having had him out there playing football, the concern should never be so great and you still have him out there at all. I knew my kid, who was literally about half the size of some of the others was going to get hit, hell i saw a kid that looked like my son was a bite sized snack, biggest fattest kid on the team barrel down on my son and steamroll him. Its happens and 99% of the time you get back up and you get ready for the next snap. You cant hold your breath about that 1%, and if you are, you should pull them out and never put them back out there again.

  19. D says:

I disagree Ken, Journalism may have had its issues before but its truly and afterthought these days. Everything has a purpose with the current media and journalism as a whole, and that meaning is more than to just inform. There has always been little bits and pieces of it, but they generally came straight out and called it an editorial, and It has never been something that people should blindly follow, in that part, its true its never changed. Its just that following it it now is pure leading you to their truth instead of opening up the story and letting you decide.

    • steveccnv says:

Trump found a way around the biased media, so now the left needs a new advantage, to go along with all the other things they do, that hurt the American people (illegal border crossings, rioters, cancel culture, identity politics, withhold covid funding…) to get an advantage. Let’s pack the SC.

    • The Flying Pig says:

      It wasn’t an editorial
It was an interview agreed to by him in the Oval Office
And his devout followers are claiming it was a set up

      • D says:

I was just commenting in general to the Journalism comment Ken made, not about the specific instance with Stahl

      • The Flying Pig says:

I appreciate that but this is very specific

And generalizations are what Trump supporters depend on

Leslie Stahl asked him 90 seconds into the interview a softball question
“Let me ask you what you think the biggest domestic priority is for you right now”

He didn’t answer and boasted about his record
        She challenged him

And then had to ask the question again

“Well, I asked you what your single biggest priority was.“

It wasn’t Even hard hitting journalism

Those are softball questions that politicians crave answering

Trump coordinated an interview in the oval office
Was confrontational within the first couple of minutes
        Walked out

And then has the nerve to blame the media

        No I’m sorry
        Not the nerve
The vision to understand that his supporters love it

Lot of suckers for theatrics eating it up

        Read the transcript

        https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/donald-trump-unedited-60-minutes-interview-transcript/amp

He’s combative – he doesn’t have good answers

She’s telling him that numbers for covid are going up
He says that’s bc of testing
She challenges him and says how can you say we are turning the corner of numbers are going up
        He gets upset again

        They aren’t tough questions
        It’s not a Tough interview
        His answers are just flawed

His only defense to having bad answers is to blame the journalist

Honestly I don’t know why they keep interviewing him
I guess it’s good for ratings

But if he can keep convincing people he’s a victim
People will keep letting him off the hook

  20. steveccnv says:

    Happy Birthday Herd!

  21. The Flying Pig says:

    I don’t know about journalism

But the page turn rule is definitely dead

  22. D says:

I agree that he shouldn’t have walked out, and it has nothing to do with respect for Stahl. They do things as “journalist” that doesn’t afford them any different than another human being, they ask questions they know are set to invoke ire so they can capture it on camera. These are not people without their own ugly.

The point is, be professional, if she steps out of line and you take offense to it, say “Look Leslie, this isn’t what i came here for, i dont appreciate the way your handling this interview, and respectfully, lets not continue this way, lets have an informative discussion”. If she continues, you again, respectfully approach her about the conduct and after all else fails, you have grounds for bailing and to be honest, no one will lose respect for you after that.

Trumps main issue is he cannot do that, he likes to slam it in your face, and the position of President of the United States of America doesn’t afford you the luxury to act like a jerk whenever you want. Do i agree that the media set their sights on making him look bad, yeah most of the time they do, does he play into their attempts, yes he does, and he looks like a jerk doing it.

    —————
Historically speaking that is just not correct. Journalism had always had its biases. Today’s journalists are no where near as biased say as the late 1800s where Yellow Journalism was a major driving force to the start of the Spanish American War including false reporting that the USS Maine sinking was an act of sabotage when in fact the cause was not known and it later turned out to be accidental

    • D says:

Yeah ok, i wasn’t really thinking that long back, but i can remember a time where the discussions weren’t so slanted as they are now, they were informative and not dripping with biased intent. We may have to agree to disagree, but ill give merit to what your saying, because i have come to hate the current media, and its possible im just thinking it was better because of how much i dislike the current.

  30. Mike E. says:

Ken – I don’t understand why you think the President owes the media anything? They haven’t played fair with the exception of the final debate, their bias has been clear and evident. Why should he give them the time of day when they can’t give him the respect he deserves as the incumbent President? If they can’t treat both candidates equally, and they don’t, he has every right to walk out. I don’t see why you think they’re entitled

    • Ken says:

Because he is the President. His job is to communicate with the public. The founding fathers envisioned a free press as one of the most important checks and balances there is and because that what every President has done since George Washington forward

      • Mike E. says:

Wait a second, wasn’t that interview optional? Was it required of him as part of his job? I think you’re a little blinded by your disdain for him. Why should have to communicate in a forum where he is under an inquisition when his opponent is basically spoonfed questions and assistance when he gets hung up. You do realize there is an election going on, yeah?

      • Ken says:

Mike E he opted for the interview and every President has faced similar inquiry from the press. This narrative that he is somehow being treated differently by the press is just not accurate. Every President has had to face the fire of difficult questions this one just whines about it more than most

      • The Flying Pig says:

Mike you are so close to getting it

He isn’t required to do an interview
And he voluntarily submitted to one
        And voluntarily walked out

He’s been playing the same game for 4 years now, and you think his critiques are the one blinded by disdain? Come
        On…

      • steveccnv says:

Right, Obama faced tough questions from the press.

      • The Flying Pig says:

        He certainly did

And he didn’t cry about it

He was asked about his citizenship
        Death panels in the aca
        Even a tan suit

And he didn’t cry like baby about it

    • The Flying Pig says:

      He scheduled an interview Mike

      He owes answers to questions

What your domestic policy priority is is not a hard hitting biased question

Trump painting himself as a victim of media bias is part of his strategy and gives a segment of Americans a reason to give him a pass on answering tough questions

      It’s hardly a strategy that’s a reaction to mistreatment
He did it on his first day of the job
Literally on inauguration chastising the media for showing pictures of a low inauguration day turnout

He’s not being asked to do anything some one in his position should not be asked to do or has been in the past

He just playing this theatrical game of “look how mean they are to me” bc Some people eat it up
And others will turn there attention to that instead of the substance of his very bad answers

      • steveccnv says:

        That is so partisan.

So now the argument is it’s ok for the media to be biased, because every president has faced tough questions.

Do you guys even read what you write?

      • The Flying Pig says:

Yes it’s okay to ask a president, the most important job on the planet, tough questions

        That’s not partisan

You just don’t like the result of that bc it’s mean to Trump…boohoo…

    Seconded!

  32. steveccnv says:

The main reasons Trump supporters back him and show up enthusiastically at his rallies are, because of what he stands for, fight corruption in DC/the establishment, so clear the swamp and bring our country back to prominance, that had taken a backseat to globalism.

How can this be done, when you have to play the establishment’s game to become president? You have to fund your campaign without the help of those you have to pay back as campaign promises.

How he fights the establishment, the media, liberals…we don’t really care to a point. If he has to look unpresidential as hilllary deemed him, so be it. The bottom line is we want the corruption to stop.

    ———————————————————-
Like i said above, I think he does have the right to walk out, but not like he did. Had he handled that better, he would have looked like the guy who took the high ground, the guy who tried to have civil discourse and she would have looked like she set him up and was trying to snipe him. He didnt even give that a chance to play out, he pulled his whole take my ball and go home thing, and it made him look just like was intended. He should have been the professional in the room and let the non-professional be distinguished by their actions.

    • The Flying Pig says:

He walked out Bc he wants the theatrics

He doesn’t care if he could have handled it better
Getting people to talk about him walking out or how he was treated is better than getting people to focus on is horrible answers to easy questions

      He can’t handle it better
He’s been handling everything this way for 4 years
      It’s who he is
Bc that’s who he is and is not capable of anything better

      • D says:

Im not sure in what i posted that would make you think i disagree lol, also check out my post on it before that, like i said that his major fault, he cant remain civil and handle things professionally.

      • The Flying Pig says:

        I don’t think you disagree

But I think you are missing the point
        He thrives from controversy

He’s not handling differently bc it’s good for him to have people believe the media is unfair to him

We’ve spent 4 years now with people screaming fake news Every time he is criticized

Then in the Town Hall meeting Savannah Guthrie was practically feral, she was nearly foaming at the mouth during her questioning. I suppose if you don’t want to see it, you don’t, and if you look for it, you find it.

    • steveccnv says:

The 2nd debate was better, but all the questions favored Biden, she constantly interrupted Trump and catered to Biden. She seemed fair in comparison, but, because she was weak, she wasn’t as effective for the left as others had been.

Why can’t their be a fair debate? Why does anjem always have to moderate?

    • The Flying Pig says:

He’s just a little bit combative with them

But I guess that doesn’t matter Bc you guys think it’s deserved

      Boohoo…

the President gets asked tough questions and people are mean to him

God forbid we hold the most powerful man on the planet accountable for the job we elect him to

So tired of this silly narrative about how mistreated he is

He should be able to handle this job
      And he can’t

The focus on how mean you think people are to him is exactly why he should not have this job. If he can’t handle it, he’s not the guy for the job

      Get over it already

      • steveccnv says:

For fucksake, we DON’T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE MEDIA ASKING HIM TOUGH QUESTIONS, nor does he, he’s just trying to prove a point that Joe never answers any tough questions.

      • The Flying Pig says:

Lol…Everything you say indicates that you have a problem with it….

      • steveccnv says:

We have a problem with the bias.

How do you feel about Biden rarely getting a tough question?

How do you feel about Biden lying about everything policy related and Hunter (maybe I should’ve left hunter off, because that’s Russian disinformation)?

You talk about Trump calling fake news, but what do you think about the dems calling Russian disinformation?

  38. steveccnv says:

What you guys don’t get is this is right before an election, so it’s not about what any other president has done or was treated, it’s about the election, he shouldn’t have to play by different rules, because he’s president.

You want to use the BS about that’s not presidential, but if he should be that, then he should also be treated like he’s the president. You can’t have it both ways.

    • Mike E. says:

I agree and I mentioned that earlier

    • The Flying Pig says:

You guys have been saying this bs for 4 years now

Don’t tell me the timing is relevant

It’s the same sob story about how mean people are to the president that I’ve heard since 2016

      I mean come on…

Did you think we forgo all the times you said “fake news” like you haven’t been happy about his coverage

It’s no different now than it was a year ago, or two years ago

The media shouldn’t have to change bc it’s an election year
What kind of shot logic is that

Maybe, just maybe, it was a good idea to be a little less combative 4 years ago instead co complaining about the fact that it hasn’t stopped close to an election

The guy stood up on Inauguration Day and criticized the media bc he don’t like the way they described crowds…lol

      You reap why you sow

A little bit of leadership over the last 4 years instead of being an immature brat screaming “fake news” at rallies probably would have went a long way

“So league sources were running the gauntlet of local newspapers on Tuesday to get out the message that the Miami Dolphins are fielding calls about trading cornerback Xavien Howard. And the club was so incensed by this it attacked one of those papers before getting around to refuting the report.”

“It was something to behold. And I’m not talking something to behold as in viewing the glorious design of the deep cosmos through NASA’s Hubble Telescope. I’m talking something to behold as in witnessing a fight between feral cats in an alley somewhere. Because it was inelegant.”

    • CavalierKong says:

His first sentence seems to indicate the same sources Dohmar referenced were talking to a bunch of papers. Yet the only story I can find about the Fins trading X (excluding fan sites) is the Sun Sentinel. Every other story is about the denial of that story.

      • D says:

It doesnt excuse Omar because you are supposed to fact check, he still, as the Dolphins organization stated, called and asked them for comment. Nothing Mando just said does anything to excuse or change the facts in this matter.

      • CavalierKong says:

        Yep, agreed

    • steveccnv says:

Sounds like the Fins called some team, probably to inquire about a player, and dangled X. The story came out maybe, because a reporter found out the Fins initiated the call, and X was brought up.

      • steveccnv says:

Maybe it was Atlanta. I’ll give you X gor Julio.

      • CavalierKong says:

Or a team called the Fins and made an offer for X, and the FIns said they’d consider it.

Or the Pets are the source and it’s part of a disinformation campaign to sow discord, lol. I’m kinda joking about that last one, but I wouldn’t put anything past the Belicheat org.

    • steveccnv says:

I don’t know who did what, but I know the Fins don’t want X thinking he’s on the trade block.

  40. New Age says:

It is fake news though. Piggy is right that he doesn’t want to handle it better and that his supporters don’t care. I personally don’t give a shit if he ‘looks presidential’. He also is getting really tired of the COVID questions and so am I. The poor response to COVID is specifically on our governors and they are the ones let off the hook. As New Yorkers talk about Trump, Cuomo was murdering old people left and right by sending the disease into nursing facilities. NY still has be far the highest number of deaths and they aren’t the most populous state. Quite a few million from it actually.

Biden puts a ‘lid’ on his daily activities. He tells the reporters what they can ask. That’s extremely PARTISAN. It’s a complete double standard and as a 47 year politician, Biden has no excuse why he can’t also face ‘tough’ questions’. Like the day Hunter was found to be a corrupt PoS, they asked one question. What flavor ice cream did you choose. HARD HITTING JOURNALISM!

Why did none of the debates have foreign policy where the president has the most power? Because Trump has 3-4 peace deals, no new wars, and is pushing back on the idea America has to be the welfare deliverer for not just a huge percent of our own population, or our own illegal immigrants, but the whole world. Mr Biden, am I black enough since I voted for you? Just asking.

    • D says:

Incidentally out of all the campaign commercials, i hate the one with the doctors talking about the covid stuff. I also hate the constant comments about Biden “has a plan” but never any mention of what the plan is. I really dont like the one version of the commercial where the one doctor drops the f-bomb (bleeped out of course) i mean come on, talk about decency.

  41. D says:

IMO you can say with certainty that a team is taking offers on anyone, i just dont think there is any intent to trade them unless they got a ridiculous offer. There was no shopping them. Still its not the responsibility of the Dolphins to get the story right, and no whining or mean mugging or whatever they wanna do will change the fact that Omar was the dumbass who went forward with a story that was not true and got major called on it.

  42. steveccnv says:

Biden can look right into the camera and policy lie to the American people and the media has no problem with that. Obama got away with the same shit. All politicians lie, we expect that, but we don’t expect them to lie about policy, every policy they talk about.

Joe has lied over and over about Fracking, GND, Taxes, Guns, Covid, Medicare…

  43. CavalierKong says:

    Steve,
Aren’t you a Dodgers fan? Not one post about your team winning the series?
    Congrats

    • steveccnv says:

      Thanks!

In some ways the titles this season don’t seem real, but in the Dodgers case I don’t care, since they lost their last 2 WS appearances to teams that were caught cheating.

Even so, it just didn’t seem like the WS this year. BLM put a black cloud on sports, and the stadium being only 1/4 full had an affect too.

  44. The Flying Pig says:

    New Age

6700 people died in nursing homes in Ny
    Not millions
6400 died in Fl nursing homes
Nearly 5000 died in Republican run Texas nursing homes

87000 died in nursing homes around the country
This is hardly a phenomenon that is exclusive to NY

Your comment is exactly why Trump MUST be asked hard questions
Bc if not he spreads these lies, and then you guys all repeat them

You can track the numbers here

    https://covidtracking.com/data/longtermcare

    • The Flying Pig says:

And FYI Cuomo did not Transfer or move anyone into nursing homes
He signed an advisory that did not permit nursing homes to reject Covid patients bc they had COVID

And he’s accountable for the harm that caused, if it did cause harm

      But please describe it accurately

    • steveccnv says:

      It’s always only about Trump.

Why hasn’t the media pressed Cuomo about the nursing home mandate that killed many more than shouldve died?

Wouldn’t the families of those that died like to have had some answers?

Why do you always give the left a free pass?

      • The Flying Pig says:

They have pressed him about it

How do you think I know about it

        Cuomo isn’t running for President
It doesn’t deserve the national attention Trumps response does

I don’t know why that’s not clear to you

The only thing you seem aware of is the boded way trump floated a rumor around

Seniors who were admitted to the hospital were denied admission back to their homes (the nursing homes) bc the nursing homes were concerned (rightfully) about a resident putting other residents at risk

He was obviously trying to prevent seniors citizens from being homeless. That was their homes. He didn’t move patients there. They were set to return there after being released from hospitals bc they loved their

        That’s not a free pass
That’s a reasonable way to look at it

He’s accountable for the harm it caused, if any

But it may have prevented senior homelessness and right. Ow the Ny numbers don’t really deviate from the test of the country on this issue

But if you want to ask Cuomo about it and he walks out on the interview, you can bet I’m going to view that negatively instead of talking about how mean the media is to him…lol

      • steveccnv says:

Cuomo’s policy was responsible for many deaths, to the point he should’ve been sued, if he wasn’t a politician, but, because he’s not running for president it doesn’t matter?

You can’t honestly say he was pressed on this issue.

They were actually saying what a great job he was doing on Covid, that isn’t exactly pressing him, and were trying to push a run at the presidency, but when the nursing home deaths started coming out, they back tracked and stopped the presidency bid.

We can go back and forth about this forever, but what is your stance on how the media treats Trump compared to anyone on the left? Is it the same, close or totally biased?

      • The Flying Pig says:

I can honestly say he was pressed on the issue

I’m in Ny. I hear it.

I have no idea about what they are asking Nevada’s governors

I think the media is tough on trump and I think he has earned it
I don’t think the media is obligated to be nice to him and I wish people would stop suggesting that

  45. D says:

Lets say the Packers threw out an offer of a first for Parker…..would you take it? Packers are supposedly looking for a top talent at WR.

    • CavalierKong says:

      Heck no.

      • CavalierKong says:

We’ve got him on a real team friendly deal during his prime. his cap hit averages around 9.5 mil over the next 3 years 2021-24.

    • steveccnv says:

You don’t get rid of top talent, just to get a 1st, you do it to solve other problems or put the team in a better position.

If Parker had a 15M cap or was in the last year of his deal where you were going to have to pay him top WR money, then you think about it.

Tunsil was of no use in a rebuilding year, and look what we would’ve had to pay him this year.

    • bookman11 says:

No. Likely will be a pick between 28-32, not that great value for him IMO, AND it takes away a weapon and option for Tua.

      • D says:

We have other weapons to use, i dont think the iis that vital, and we could certainly replace him in the draft, even at that pick, and probably improve at the position given his injury history. The fact he is under a friendly contract and the fact that he is QB friendly with him being able to high-point the football and make contested catches are my reasons for a no.

    • D says:

Thats along the lines i was thinking, mostly its about the contract that makes it not worth it for me. We can replace him with a first we got for him, talent wise, but there is really no reasons ince his contract isnt for huge money.

  46. CavalierKong says:

Should we try and sign Dontari Poe if the ‘Boys release him?

  47. steveccnv says:

In the end what does each candidate stand for?

Trump – strong economy, lower taxes, less business regulations, fair trade deals, low unemployment, less corruption, keep nuclear countries from developing, school of choice.

Biden – globalism, higher taxes, more regulations, croniism with China, global warming/end fossil fuels, bidencare.

    • D says:

In the end, both parties stand for one thing, themselves, their jobs and continuing to stay in power. Its not a riddle, they dont care about us, they dont care what we wont or dont want, they stuff it down one hole or up another and we deal with it because they are the only shitty choices we have.

  56. New Age says:

    Piggy,

1 out 7 deaths from COVID has been in NY. The lockdowns were under the governance of the governors, not Trump. Trump followed the advice of his medical experts. He doesn’t know medical, so how would he know what to do? Do you want a link to a video of all the times Fauci said this was a nothing-burger? Or how him and the WHO changed their advice during this? It’s been a lot. My wife works in a nursing home. They wear N-95s because… guess what? Cloth masks aren’t effective.

Cuomo allowed COVID into the nursing homes in his state. End statement. If Trump is liable for the damages governors do, at least we must hold them a little liable for their own decisions. He allowed COVID into the homes. His state has by far the most deaths. His response was far more negligent because he has far more responsibility and power for his own state in emergencies than the president. The president who sent a Navy ship, tons of respirators, and a ton of money.

The reality is that there is probably little anyone could have done but Biden could have worsened this with not closing down the airports. No one will ever know on that topic. China created a super-virus that attacks the elderly and people with co-morbidities and our medical people tried to find solutions that are even now being adjusted. Since about 30% of Americans have co-morbidities, our people were going to be hit the hardest. People that think a super-virus isn’t going to kill fat Americans live in another world and need to come back to Earth. We aren’t to the point where you can take the blue pill forever.

Between putting seniors at risk in nursing homes and allowing them to be homeless, which choice do you make?

    • New Age says:

Depends on what’s going on at the moment. I’m not saying there is a good choice but you just can’t let people with a highly infectious disease in a nursing home.

Piggy, I’m going to be honest. If our politicians cared more about the people and less about optics, on both sides, I’d be a lot happier with them. I’d also be a lot happier if they focused on homelessness, mental health, etc than ensuring illegals get a voice, pushing three bathrooms, BLM, and other political activism that is just a tool for corruption. Just take care of Americans for once. Is that so hard, politicians? I guess so.

I think the media is tough on trump and I think he has earned it
I don’t think the media is obligated to be nice to him and I wish people would stop suggesting that

    —-

So they’re only allowed to be nice to dems? Why is the double standard Ok?

I’d be fine, if the media was mean to all politicians, just do it the same for both sides.

You keep saying the media should be tough on Trump, but won’t answer this question.

what is your stance on how the media treats Trump compared to anyone on the left? Is it the same, close or totally biased?

Do you think the media should call out biden, when he lies about wanting to ban fracking, when there’s video showing him say it?

    • The Flying Pig says:

      I answered that question

      “Bust everyone’s chops”

That’s the way I like it
I want them to turn the screws on everyone
But I am tired of people saying don’t turn the screws on trump until you turn the screws on (insert trumps latest opponent)
That is not how accountability works

A leader is accountable. There are no excuses to why it’s okay not to be.it doesn’t matter if you think it’s spread evenly or not. A leader takes responsibility.

The reason I know the answer to the nursing home allegation is bc Cuomo has answered that question and did not walk out on the interview, Now, I can judge him for it when he is runs again. And it might cause me to vote for his opponent.

Trump walks out on an Interview and you guys applaud him like a bunch of zombies

That has nothing to do with what they ask Biden or a Cuomo or anyone else
The question doesn’t change bc it was asked to or wasn’t asked to some one else

Ask Biden whatever you want when he schedules an interview
Trump scheduled this interview. He didn’t do it bc he thought a question on covid wouldn’t be asked….lol

Don’t tell me that asking the president of the United States a series soft softball questions on a global pandemic that had killed hundreds of thousands of Americans is too harsh

      It’s not

I literally just witnessed you guys on this blog applaud him walking out

This silly dialogues exposes how silly this narrative is

You are mad that trump has to answer these questions to justify why the voter should elect him…wtf?

You can’t say “he should have walked out” out of one side of the mouth and then say “Biden should answer tough questions too” out of the other side

That is unadulterated bullshit. It’s pretext to absolving trump of the normal scrutiny that goes hand to hand with running for office

Everyone should answer tough questions – that’s your answer
      Everyone

And when those questions and that scrutiny is put to trump
You should not defer to “look how unfair they are to him”

The silly argument that this is unique to trump is exactly what Ken was referring to
At least Hulk was nice about it

I don’t know why it’s not clear to you

Everyone gets the screws put to them, and everyone should

Trump stands apart from everyone else in that he promotes the rhetoric that it’s unfair to treat him this way….boo fucking hoo…grow some testicles Donald Trump and face the tough questions. If you can’t do that, you can’t be president. This isn’t a sophisticated posture. It’s not too high a standard to expect a leader to run on a little more substance than “everyone is mean to me….whahhhhhhhhhhh”

What a fucking cry baby. I don’t want an infant as a president. I guess that means I hate America to some dopes….lol

      • steveccnv says:

This is a joke right? Based on what you wrote you don’t think the media has been tough on him. He’s answered tough question after tough question for 4 years, and was even his own press secretary for a while. While the left faces softball after softball, and lies right to the reporter, who does nothing. I’m talking Schiff, Schumer, Pelosi… how did Pelosi respond to the stimulus question? She had enough and walked out.

We applaud him walking out, because he’s exposing the hypocrisy of the left. Easy for you to say the left should get tough questions, when they aren’t and aren’t held accountable, when they get one and lie.

How did you like the softball questions Obama got, when president? I don’t remember any of you guys calling that out, and that’s what this is all about. You have no credibility, when you bitch from one side and are Ok, when it happens to the other.

      • The Flying Pig says:

        It’s not a joke

Your basis for applauding him is bogus
It’s not based on the responsible leadership you should expect from a leader
It’s based on the people you already dislike that oppose him

        Your reply says it all

I like it when people busted Obama’s chops about drones
I never once thought for a second that is not a appropriate question for him

And FYI – I didn’t vote for Obama in 2012
You have it all wrong Steve

I don’t have a problem with the tough questions
I have a problem with you guys suggesting that because you think it didn’t happen to people on the left, it’s okay for Trump not to deal with it.

This logic is exactly one of many reasons why I think trump is a trash president, bc people look for any excuse to justify his behavior

That’s is bullshit rationalizing for not having good answers to tough questions

  63. TOP SECRET says:

    remember when? ……………………….lol.

  64. The Flying Pig says:

    New wage

    That’s not an answer

    You have two choices:

    1. Stop nursing homes from rejecting elderly patients after they have been hospitalized for covid (leaving them without a home)

    2. Or allow them to return to the nursing home and possibly infecting other seniors

There is no correct answer to that issue. So when you raise it as an example as to what the governor of ny did wrong, it really doesn’t make much sense bc there wasn’t a perfect path

That is a decision between a turd and shit

Nothing about making that decision should lead some one to suggest the guy who had to make it cared less about people. You are fucked either way you chose. And making tough decisions is a part of caring for the people you govern.

Donald trump sitting back and criticizing every decision any governor has made instead of setting out guidelines for each of them to follow when he was briefed about how serious this was IN JANUARY, is just some jerk playing politics

It’s nowhere close to doing something for the American people

These cliches people have been throwing around to absolve him of any responsibility should and hopefully will smack him in the face in about a week

The reason conservatives at a national level are talking about Cuomo or Any Governor of a state they have nothing to do with is bc trump is pointing fingers at those governors – it’s not bc any of you suddenly took an interest in Ny polItics…lol

The president of the US doesn’t violate the 10th amendment by publishing guidelines for states to follow. He didn’t do that, he just criticized governors when he thought they went too far. That’s not leadership by any stretch of the imagination,

He isnt doing things for the American people, he’s doing enough to escape accountability

    • steveccnv says:

Only 2 choices? They surely could’ve done a better job isolating those with covid in the nursing homes or told the families what’s going on and let them take their elders home.

There’s videos of people saying one day their parents were fine and the next day they wouldn’t give them any info or allow them to be seen, and then they were dead.

With 40% of covid deaths coming from nursing, I haven’t heard a peep from you guys about the lie Biden is telling about Trump being responsible for 200+k deaths. We all see it, besides the numbers being inflated, this disease has to be handled at the local level, NY is different than FL and SD, and it doesn’t matter what laws are set in place people are going to do what they do and make it worse.

      • The Flying Pig says:

        What are you talking about?

The nursing homes rejected elderly people returning home from the hospital
Cuomo said they couldn’t do that

The nursing homes were required to isolate them for the same reasons any one exposed to covid is required to isolate by the governors executive order you are required to quarantine exposed people

What you are saying he could have done was actually done.

The family of those people will be suing the nursing homes, so we will see. but the way the nursing homes treated it, if they violated quarantine rules, that is irrational to blame on the governor. If some one violates a state rule, you don’t blame the governor or state senate, you blame the people who violated it

  65. New Age says:

    Piggy,

That’s just not true that everyone gets the screws put to them. There’s videos of what was said in Trump’s interview and then there’s videos of what the media allowed to be seen in their edited version. Why would anyone want a curated and biased propaganda piece instead of the entire video? What part of truth does that serve? How is an edited video….truth?

Show me one time the screws were put to Biden. Show me where they were applied to Hillary. Joe puts ‘lids’ on his daily activities. He doesn’t answer questions. His media people shut questions down. How is that leadership? You expect different from Trump than Biden who’s been a supposed leader for 47 years? How does that work exactly? Why should Trump stay in a media hit piece when Jos isn’t ever asked tough questions? Give me a good reason Joe gets a double standard? Just one good reason. It’s less than a week until election. When were those tough Joe questions coming by chance?

    • son of a son of a shula says:

The media should be vetting the Biden family business story not ignoring and or refuting it. Get answers for the people, find out if it is false instead of patently denying it.

      • The Flying Pig says:

It would help of that story wasn’t directly linked to the President’s lawyer unscrupulous claims

The entire story is generated from the trump campaign
A campaign that previously told us Obama wasn’t a citizen

The story is met to be the inference of Impropriety not the actual existence of it

The president has a DOJ to investigate it – he didn’t
Rudy G waited until October to flush the story down the pipes, k owing it would be impossible to evolve anywhere behind allegations before an election

He’s not interested in facts, he’s interested in rumors by cycled through the media and the harm they do to his opponent

That story will disappear after the election just like all the allegations of Clinton did and why she was never “locked up”

        It is bullshit
        Flushed down the pipes
So that people can’t say why aren’t people talking about it

They guys who flushed it down the pipe work for the President
And flushed it a month before the election, not to hold Biden Accountable for any wrong doing – they flushed it to smear him at a critical time

You keep repeating the same thing over and over about the president should take tough questions and no one is disputing that, so why do you keep repeating it?

Just say the media is biased and we’ll be done with this.

    • The Flying Pig says:

Dude I’m not going to post videos of people asking other people tough questions to explain to you that a president had to answer tough questions ….wtf

I expect a president to answer tough questions. I don’t want to hear how unfair it is….

It’s like blaming injuries for losses
What do coaches and players say – it’s not an excuse. Do you want a head coach who says shit like “it’s okay to lose, we had a bunch of injuries”

Every American should assume that’s a presidents responsibility

The rationalizing of what some one else does is not acceptable to me as an excuse for not doing it

All you guys do over and over again is say “look at Biden” or “look at Obama” or “look at Hillary”

Looking at Biden doesn’t run a country guys…

A person who runs for that office had to assume that responsibility and answer tough questions

And I judge Trump for tuning his refusal to do so into a “fake news” shouting match

      • son of a son of a shula says:

He answered her questions by the way she just refused to accept his answer.

      • The Flying Pig says:

Yeah she confronted him with things like “we are tuning the corner” as number of covid infections go up

That is the turning the screws I like to see

        Then he had enough

  66. The Flying Pig says:

And if I am concerned about corruption in the US….as you guys completely try to smear Biden with rumors that the Trump campaign flushed on to social media….the last person I turn to is Donald Trump

    That is laughable

That’s like asking the cockroach if you need an extermination….

    • steveccnv says:

You keep going after the messenger and not the evidence. How can you dispute the hard drive? That hunters lawyer asked for it back? The pictures of hunter proving it was his hard drive? The whistleblower’s comments? The left would’ve used an unnamed source.

      • The Flying Pig says:

Show me that evidence about hunter Biden lawyer’s asking for the hard drive back

Trump is saying it, so is Steve Bannon and so is Rudy G

Actually to be clear Rudy G is saying his lawyers called the merchant and asked for it back….lol

This is exactly what I mean by a rumor flushed down the pipes by the trump campaign

Show me the lawyers letter demanding the hard drive back

Show me the meta data showing Photos of Hunter Biden, which could have been from any other source, are from the hard drive

The “whistleblower” was trump’s guest as the debates last week…..lol

They are flushing allegations down the pipe I hopes that people talk about it
And all you guys keep doing is demanding it be discussed by the media

Let’s see the lawyers letter demanding a hard drive back

Also please explain to me why on earth rich ass hunter biden drove from his home in California and dropped off a hard drive across the country to a routine repair shop when the man can afford IT personal service at his door….

  69. D says:

Lol cool thing just happened for me.

Im usually am kind of murphys law, and normally if there is a chance i can get screwed over all things align and boom there ya go winner winner chicken dinner. I mean i dont wanna piss and moan, i get good things too but its incredible of the the murphys laws i have encountered.

So just now, i was out getting medicine from the pharmacy, and i have this package, well box of cigars i had arriving today. So i am getting my meds, and i drive back and right as i get back to my driveway i take a look at the UPS app and the fucking guy is right there at the pharmacy i just left. So im like, maybe i should just run back real quick and see if he wants to deliver my package to me there to save him some time, because with the storm coming im sure he wants to get back to his family. Win, win right. I get my package a few hours early, he gets to skip my house on the tail end of his deliveries.

I ook the chance, went up there, told him my name and address and told him i thought i had a package in his truck and i was just wanting to see if he minded delivering it to me there so they could get back before the storm got in. He was like yeah let me check to see if i got it. He goes back and boom there it is, he said, ya know, you are really lucky you did this because we just got called back to home base (which is about 45min-1hr out and i was just about to turn and go back. We were told to skip the rest of our deliveries and come back in.

I mean holy shit that could not been better timing, he had literally just pulled around to an empty spot to take that call. Talk about all the start lining up, and this time for good. Im afraid though now i might have used up all my luck for the next year or so lol.

    ***
Anybody care that Trump somehow had $270 million dollars in debt forgiven? Aft he tried suing the bank he owed some of the money to? Would anybody like to know what he had to do to get that special treatment? Anybody?
    ***
Anybody care that he avoided paying federal income tax for about a decade? Anybody?
    ***
Anybody wanna hear this from The NY Times: “An investigation by The Times found over 200 companies, special-interest groups and foreign governments that patronized Mr. Trump’s properties while reaping benefits from him and his administration,” the paper reported, concluding that the president has “built a system of direct presidential influence-peddling unrivaled in modern American politics.” Anybody?
    ***
But yet folks demand Biden be scoured over his dealings. Get real. Trump’s shady dealings so far outstrip anybody else’s it’s laughable. He’s laughing at the American people all the way to the bank…and yet people still want to re-elect the guy. I don’t like Biden either but come on.

    • The Flying Pig says:

      Exactly
The DOJ defending him with tax payer dollars in a suit against him personally is corruption in the very direct sense of the word and we barely make time for that in the media

That’s not bc the media is predisposed to be antagonistic to him
That’s because they aren’t idiots and his answer is nonsensical and people are dying

You asked me for one video without that qualifier at 2:20
And It took me a whole 5 minutes to respond with one

The argument was always a load of shit to begin with

You guys have been beaten into submission by the President’s inexcusable rhetoric that he’s is treated unfairly.

He just flat out sucks at being President

It’s not the media, or TDS, or liberal gangs, or migrant caravans, or the deep state whoemever bill Barr frames for him – it’s just him and his shit personality paired with a shit performance

It is that simple, not this convoluted ACME the media is the right arm of the democrats bs

  76. Randy says:

Trump has successfully lowered the bar for what we as citizens should expect from our President that he can basically do anything he likes and people will defend him for it. You know….like using tear gas and federal troops on citizens who are lawfully protesting, so he can get a photo op in front of a church he never goes to while holding a bible he never read? Kudos to him. He has manipulated the system like a Master. I’ll never respect the turd, but I can recognize his skills.

    Piggy,
I’ll help you out. For those wanting to see how the media treated Obama, type into your browser and watch the following on YouTube: What If Fox News Covered Trump the Way It Covered Obama? | NowThis.
    ***
    It speaks for itself.

  79. Mike E. says:

Piggy – To me there’s a difference, a HUGE difference in fact. I don’t care so much when reporters totally biased go after Trump, but this is crunch time immediately before an election and the American public is watching. So if the reporter has an agenda to make the current President look bad and antagonizing him so her candidate wins, yeah, I have a problem with that. It’s simply not fair and it shouldn’t be done. You can disagree with that, and that’s fine, but this is impactful, and while other stations are practically helping Joe answer when he gets stuck, you have these sneering reporters trying their best to make Trump look bad. It’s just not right.

  80. bailbondmike says:

    Remember this.

When this election is over and if Trump wins you are going to see the bias media turn on Joe Biden like he is Adam Gase coaching their team. I guarantee it. They will start reporting on the Biden family corruption as fact (it is fact) like there is no tomorrow.

  81. ocalarob says:

All this back & forth about you’re guy did this and your guy did that is ridiculous, who knows what’s actually going on behind all this rhetoric.

    what are the real questions?
how will who we elect affect this country?
    1. financially speaking i think if Biden is elected it will crush our economy.
no fracking or oil? remove subsidies to them. this will cause gas prices to skyrocket.
if Trump is elected i’m thinking it will be more of status quo and may get even better in time.

    2. Covid, the take on covid by the left is stupid.
they seem to be blaming Trump for the disease.
Trump didn’t create covid the chinese did.
the left seem to think they have all the answers to get rid of covid.
    nobody possesses that skill.
they want to lock down the country again. economical suicide!
most of the people who get it don’t know they have it, 90% recover from it quickly.
the best thing to do is protect the vulnerable and carry on.
the only thing that will defeat covid is time and medicine.

I see voting for trump will boost our economy and voting for biden will kill it.

any unbiased reasonable opinions on this?

the double standard posters need not respond

  82. herdfan says:

I do wish Trump would act more diplomatic, let someone else manage his twitter account or close it. He hurts himself many times with comments that aren’t necessary. As to the media, there has been a bias with him going back to when he ran against Hillary and she was given the questions that would be asked at the debate ahead of time. That is real. It was unfair. You have that happen and it changes how you view the media and respond to them. At the time, it was as if it was no big deal, you know, it’s Hillary, not like she killed somebody….

As for complaints about him being an absolute asshole, yep, I agree, he is. It comes down to this, this country needs to be ran like a business and it’s a tough job. You can’t please everyone, you have to do what is right for the people you govern. Sometimes when you’re the one at the top and you need to get things done, you have to be an asshole to do it. He wasn’t elected to give us all a hug or give everyone everything they want. The country can’t financially support that.

The amount of criticism he has piled on him for border control is unbelievable. After 9-11, you’d think everyone would want strict border control. It baffles me that people don’t. I can just see it now, another terrorist attack, it’s shown they entered through the southern border somewhere and Trump hadn’t done anything to improve security….omg, they would be all over him for not doing something. That’s how they work.

Something that has received a lot of media attention is whether he was withholding military aid payments to Ukraine to get them to investigate Hunter. First of all, I’m not sure why we need to be giving them aid in the first place. Second, if Hunter Biden was doing something illegal related to Ukraine, by all means, lets find out about it. If it takes withholding payments to do it. I don’t really have a problem with it.

  83. bailbondmike says:

    Remember this also.

When this election is over and if Biden wins, you are going to hear the media start to talk about the Biden family corruption soon after the inauguration. Then you will hear talk about impeachment. If he does not get impeached, then they will go the incompetent route. This has been the far lefts plan all along.

  84. ocalarob says:

the left spent millions trying to remove a sitting president, they knew or at least should have known from the outset that they didn’t have the evidence to pull that off yet they kept on pursuing with your tax dollars.
you may want to ask WHY?
it was a political move to discredit Trump.

which begs to question, instead of trying to discredit trump and using your money to do so for political gain why not just work on adopting policies to better the country.

is it better to falsely accuse someone or to out work that guy?

they did it because it was free political posturing.

I can’t trust people that resort to that.

  85. ocalarob says:

how else is trump suppose to get his message out, the media covers anything that favors trump up, Tweet on MR President!

  86. bailbondmike says:

  88. ocalarob says:

Vote for biden, you get high gas prices, unemployment skyrocketing, country shutdown.

doesn’t seem like much of a choice

    chicken salad or chicken shit

  89. D says:

I will be really glad when this damn election is over. Its such a dirty cesspool of people involved. A lot of people are saying they wish they would purge all the positions and vote on all new ones, and i know its too late for all that but damn if doesnt sound like a great idea. I would love to see Pelosi and McConnell gone, they are a big hindrance to getting anything done.

  90. herdfan says:

I would love to see a female President and I’m not alone. I never would have voted for Hillary. I don’t think Biden can last one term, voting for him is the same as voting for President Harris because it’s a good possibility we’ll end up with that. I wouldn’t have voted for her either.

In all seriousness, I had hoped the Democrats would have come up with someone worthy to vote for. They had a whole slew of candidates, couldn’t even get them all on a stage at one time and Biden is the one they chose. Sigh…..

  97. ocalarob says:

Who has more pressure, Burrow…Herbert or Tua?

i would say Tua, he’s coming into a situation where we are 3-1 over the last 4 and he’s replacing a red hot QB. Both Burrow and Herbert have no expectations to win, it more than likely their season is already over.
Tua’s starting his career against a very good football team in the Rams
seems like a lot of pressure to put on a rookie, i hope they know what they’re doing.

    • steveccnv says:

Chelsea Handler, she’s a real tool.

    • D says:

People should be able to vote for whomever they want without scrutiny of “oh you cant vote for them because your a . That really makes no sense, just like when Biden told the guy he wasnt black, because if he was he wouldnt vote republican, thats a bunch of BS. Some groups can see through the smokescreen and realize that whatever side they vote for in essence is using them, so vote for who you want, or dont vote because you dont want either, thats how it should be and im tired of endorsing shit and will not be voting until some things change. I consider it civil disobedoence for the sake of shinging a light on a problem. If there is another option worth a shit (who’s the libertarian guy this time around?) im all over that other than this crap.

  103. Randy says:

    Top,
Isn’t that exactly what Trump is trying to do with throwing mud at Biden and his son? Misdirection? Don’t look at how horrible of a President I’ve been….look at how this other guy’s son made millions of dollars…all while ignoring the fact that I’ve made 10 times more off my Presidency than any Biden has. I don’t argue that they are all corrupt….I’m just amazed at how Trump’s supporters can willfully ignore his corruption while throwing stones at others. They all do it! Trump seems to have just convinced his supporters that it’s okay if he does it as long as they get an extra $20 on their tax return. Lol

    • TOP SECRET says:

yeah, TRUMP made the crack smoking hunter drop off his laptop and forget to pick it up……. it;s TRUMPs fault………..lol.

Then they went with the NY Post…. where even the guy who wrote most of the article didn’t want his name on it.

  104. D says:

    • D says:

Yeah had heard he was on the way out. He is a great player, but im not sure how much is left in that tank. For the hawks, thats a good move to make a strong push for the SuperBowl but i dont know if he, or any other vet, would be good for us. I like the idea of Watt but mostly for me its for culture, ie work ethic, playing full out, etc that i think he could help with our changes we are trying to make there. Its not always about the benefit of the player to the team on the field, sometimes it goes a little deeper.

    I’ll probably take a sabbatical….
But I’ll deal with it and probably won’t be such a critic going forward, at least Not here

That is a headache I don’t want to think about

Please don’t pull me into that a argument

I should know more than I do about them, but I don’t. I’m not a fan of the two party system, why couldn’t she have been included in the debates? Then we’d all know the answer to your question. As it is, most voters don’t know.

The problem we have, even if a 3rd party candidate could get elected, they would be blocked at every turn by both democrats and republicans in the house and senate to get anything accomplished. So many vote the party line, it’s impossible. This country of ours has really painted itself into a corner politically.

  110. herdfan says:

It once was realistic but government has gotten so damn big it’s now just a pipe dream. Just look at what people think government should do for them. Libertarians would give them more freedom in so many walks of life but they’d also be on their own.

  112. Randy says:

I agree with Herd. None of us are winners in this scenario. But, as I’ve said a bunch, I think we get what we deserve in our politicians.

  113. Randy says:

    Tim,
I actually describe myself as a libertarian. I want government to leave me the fuck alone! Unfortunately, as you said, our World just doesn’t work that way anymore. Libertarian ideals give individuals more freedoms, but they also make us more individually responsible….and nobody wants that these days. Lol

Libertarianism is a great philosophy, but it’s not realistic. It doesn’t work in practice.

I’m not sure what we have now is something we could label as ‘working’.

He definitely has had a knee or knees issue not sure if it’s both knees, but he looks good out there right now.

  120. Mike E. says:

If Biden wins I’m moving to Australia! (Doesn’t that sound fucking ridiculous?)

    • Tim Knight says:

It’s so petty and I believe it’s also cowardly like I’m taking my ball and going home. In this case you’re leaving your country because your candidate lost and you won’t stay and fight for what you think is right. I’m not sure what I’ll do if Bruce Springsteen moves to Australia because the funny thing is, I don’t know where he lives now. LOL

      • Mike E. says:

      • Tim Knight says:

I’m sure he does or he could if he wants.

His career really took off with Born in The USA which was about how poorly Vietnam Vets were treated when they came home. Who were the people treating them poorly? Anti-war radical leftists calling them baby killers, and the entire government for not taking care of them properly when they needed all types of care. Vietnam was the only war we’ve lost, and we treated our vets like losers. Very sad time and it was a bi-partisan failure in our government.

So where I agree with Bruce on this song even though I’m not a fan of his music, he’s also hypocritical with his political views. This song that gave him so much success was largely because his fans viewed it as a USA rally song, and he fed that with the fist pumps accenting The USA Rules!!! type of antics in concert. That is pretty much what a lot of Democrats are these days. Elitist limousine liberals who live one way and speak of another way. It’s something I’ve seen and followed for decades now.

You can say the Republicans have their issues and you don’t agree with them, I agree, but we know what they are. The elitists are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They subvert young people. Most of them speak as progressives. Not sure how anyone can deny that.

At the end of the day, The USA will continue.

  121. Rockphin says:

“The good news involved all four players who left their last game against the New York Jets before their bye being at practice, although two of the four were limited.”

“Those two are defensive tackle Raekwon Davis (shoulder) and wide receiver DeVante Parker (groin). Parker clearly is the more important of the two given his role on offense, so his situation will bear monitoring throughout the week.”

“The other two players injured against the Jets were full participants Wednesday: linebackers Kamu Grugier-Hill (hand) and Andrew Van Ginkel (concussion).”

    • CavalierKong says:

“Three other players were limited Wednesday, including Kyle Van Noy, who missed the Jets game because of groin and foot injuries. He’s now listed with only a foot injury. The other limited participants were safety Bobby McCain (ankle) and tight end Adam Shaheen (shoulder).”

    • Tim Knight says:

  128. olddolphan says:

TURNED OFF last night’s 6th and final game of the 2020 World Series at the end of the 5th inning with the Rays leading 1-0. When Arozarena came up with two on and two out in the bottom of the 3rd, I said to myself “If he homers like he did in the 1st inning, this game will be 4-0, Rays. The way Blake Snell’s pitching tonight, 4 runs should be enough to win tonight.”

Well, he didn’t and they didn’t. Thus, I wasn’t too surprised when I got up to pee about 3:30 AM and discovered the Dodgers had won 3-1. Bravo for them.

A few hours later I learned about the Justin Turner situation. Seems as tho’ Mr. Turner was given a covid test last night. He was told he flunked the test and was ordered (after initially refusing) to leave the game NOW by the commissioner’s office! A substitute took his place in the 8th inning. He was ORDERED into a lockdown, per MLB’s protocol with the player’s union. However, Turner somehow left the securfe area to join his team mates when they celebrated the winning of the World Series! He proudly held the trophy, hugging his fellow players and kissing his non-covid wife!
Then he sat down by manager Dave Roberts (a recent cancer survivor) and had his picture taken!

Thanks to Justin Turner, the “Victory Parade” in Los Angeles has no chance of happening for A LONG TIME. And it is not now known how many people surrounding this “Super Spreader” situation will actually come down with the VIRUS. But it seems almost certain that SOME people will be impacted by his extremely foolish and selfish antics.

PER THE CBA, the commisioner has opened a full investigation of the details of this despicable act. As many of you know, decades ago, when the Commissioner’s job was created by congress, our government gave the commissioner free reign to act as he, and he alone, sees fit IF HE FEELS HIS ACTIONS are in the best interests of baseball! A classic example of this was commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis’ LIFETIME BAN of all the White Sox scandal participants in the fixing of the 1919 World Series, even though a court of law found all of them innocent (later, the vast majority of these guys, including Shoeless Joe Jackson, were scorned by baseball historians for their role in this awful situation that besmirched baseball’s integrity for decades.) THERE IS NO LEGAL APPEAL to a decision by the commissioner on issues like this!

I, for one, hope Rob Manfred brings down the HAMMER on this selfish idiot named Justin Turner!! —A 2-year ban from all MLB baseball activities would be a good start, including forfeiting of his salary. IF it turns out that several people caught the covid from this creep, Manfred would be totally within his rights to increase Turner’s penalties as the number of persons he infected climbs to higher levels.

    ————————-
And don’t give me that “Boys will be boys bullshit” on this one!! Manfred, and all of baseball, needs to tell these ball players that needlessly exposing innocent people to a deadly disease WILL HAVE MASSIVE, MAJOR, consequences, even if no one dies from their unwanted contact with this idiot. A co-worker asked me “What would you do if this guy infected your wife and she died from it?” I replied, “You’ve known me for many years, haven’t you?” –“YES,” he replied. “Then you already know what my response would be, don’t you?”–“Yes,” he replied.

  129. Tim Knight says:

Kong, really was the word that hangs that slider. LOL

  130. Tim Knight says:

I think sometimes we forget that we found a gem in Preston Williams. Not only does he have blue chip talent, but with his history of some off the field problems – it seems that someone got to him and said hey man; you have an opportunity that not many people get, and he’s rolling with that. Kind of an underrated story in Miami.

    • Rockphin says:

WOOOOO HOOOOOO THE UNICORN! GO WILLIAMS!!

    • CavalierKong says:

So in my head, when I was talking about Parker/Ramsey, I was thinking a healthy Parker may give Ramsey trouble, but if Parker doesn’t play Ramsey moves over to Williams, and I think he shuts him down. Williams probably doesn’t have the savvy yet to handle a top CB like Ramsey. So that would be losing our top 2 WR. LOL, I should have just written it out.

      • steveccnv says:

I’ve seen Ramsey play 3 times this year, I haven’t exactly locked in on him, but he hasn’t been all that, from what I’ve noticed.

      • Tim Knight says:

Preston Williams is a big dude with good speed for his size. I’m sure he’s still trying to get back to top form, but he’s been productive. I think the bye helps him a lot. He has natural receiving skills. It’s not just about his size/speed ratio. He’s a good WR trending upwards.

Not many teams have corners who can match up against both Parker and Williams when they’re on their game. They’re also not the only weapons we have.

This Rams game will be a good barometer of where we are. I’m looking forward to it. Go Tua!!!! take the reins and run with it!!!

For the purposes of in the last year of a presidency, it goes 2.5 months past the election, so what’s the difference, if the nominee got put in, in December, that wouldn’t be rushed thru?

Must we all bash each other over our beliefs… Those beliefs are our rights… This country is still the land of the free… I have no problem letting you believe that you are right. Just get out of my face with it.

There will be more… Come on, I started following when this was just the Sun Sentinel blog group… Then you split, and I still followed, then you split again… which was sad… you are better… Pull yourselves together, not apart. It pains me to see men… that have a true love of something good… lose focus… this exact thing happen before… and we lost a lot of good dolphin fans… why… ideology… I hope in your hearts you miss them… I do.

To Hell with Tuesday.. it aint football… life goes on… This Tua shall pass!

We are The Dolphins Heart and Soul… Have been our whole lives… This is a moment for us few to really have something wonderful… dont piss on this fire… for some, it could be our Last One!

My apologies to all, Respect for you all very much! For the love of the game, please lets talk about the GOOD stuff, LIfe is just too short not to.

We all will get through this election either way… There are matters of great urgency that need to be attended to, but let those issues find another avenue, not here… This should become our Refuge, Our home when the world pisses on our doorstep. We are family… in a very weird way!

Go Dolphins… and may we make our Fathers proud… God Bless our United States.

We needed something to inject anything into our running game. The easiest way to get a rookie QB acclimated into the NFL is with his feet. The RPO can accomplish those two plus help with the passing game. Lamar isn’t exactly an NFL passing QB, if his legs didn’t come into play he’d be on the bench.

With that said I expect Tua to be brought along through the RPO to neutralize Donald, then open things up as we go.

I still think the inconsistency of Fitz and the lack of running game is what brought on the QB change. Sure we average over a 100 yards a game, but Fitz scrambles have led to a good portion of that.

Flores would not say whether Jackson will be able to return this season, but he indicated that he is looking for a “long-term replacement” for him, indicating his absence is expected to be longer than the three-week minimum injured-reserve stay. Jackson’s injury has caused significant ripples throughout the offensive line and the team.

  155. steveccnv says:

    From yesterday’s injury report

Rookie left tackle Austin Jackson was placed on injured reserve with a foot ailment earlier this month and will be eligible for activation later this week. That said, Jackson’s injury is reportedly going to keep him sidelined for a few more weeks. His exact timetable for return remains uncertain, so expect Jesse Davis to continue at left tackle for the time being, while rookie Robert Hunt continues to hold down the fort at right tackle.

Days64 – Thanks for the post, but I think it’s important to consider that even after all these years and extremely different beliefs politically we’re still a group here. Sure, we’ve lost a few on the way, but in general we all respect and enjoy each other here which is probably a better sample than most of America these days. Football is the main focus here but I think just like any social media platform, anything goes and since this is such a heated time with the election days away, it’s going to be larger part of the discussion. I don’t think one iota less of anyone that has a different political viewpoint than my own, I respect Piggy, Ken, and Krishna the same I always have and they are my friends. Maybe that’s the better story here. In any case, a new article is coming shortly, I hope you enjoy it and perhaps there will be more football than politics. Just don’t bet on it! 😉

Let’s get past this election, of course there’s going to be plenty of talk Tuesday and on until a winner is decided, then we should try to follow one unwritten rule, the page turn moratorium on political posts (to rehash, no political posts the rest of the day a page turn occurs). This doesn’t have to be governed like a law, just don’t respond to them, if they do occur.

I never made any political posts on here before 2016, and it used to suck when the political posts would come in, so I know what Days is going thru. We’re likely never going to eliminate them all together, but following the page turn moratorium, that Piggy suggested, would make this a better place.

      • stangerx says:

Game day is my favorite time on here, because that is when it really feels like a “family”. The political talk, to me, is devisive and serves no purpose..IMO.
