He certainly hasn’t helped and the team certainly looked better with Tua

    He’s really not

But Tua never deserved the criticism you gave him when they are this and on offense without him

HIs offense, let the other offense score, because he had no offense…..rules are rules dude.

So we have no timeouts? Can we just take a 4th one since it seems that’s possible after last week.?

  10. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Tua must’ve distracted Rob from seeing that Brissett isn’t the answer, even when it’s a 2 answer multiple choice with A) Tua and B) Brissett

  11. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Brissett is a backup QB, so I don’t really understand what people expected. He’s a backup for a reason. He isn’t the future. He missed a lot of throws today….but he’s still the backup.

  12. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

it looks bad, but we knew we would struggle the first 5 games, we have Tampa next week.

don’t give up on this team just yet.

  13. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

We are losing games in the first half each week

It’s lack of aggressiveness and creativity on offense
    Feely called it right IMO

And that’s not going to get any better unless they make coaching changes

I think I’m about to have a 2 week bye as a fan bc I don’t think I can watch next week

  20. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That’s a shitty first quarter of the season. We could easily be 0-4. I’d love hear why Gaskin hardly played today and why we don’t throw to Gesicki and Parker until the game is about out of reach

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We obviously have issues on offense outside of timely mistakes we make in other areas. But Brissett is not aggressive enough until we’re down. That’s why he’s a backup. Tua can’t get back fast enough so at the least the offense can grow.

ABOUT 5 OR SO minutes ago the network showed an overhead view of a beautiful Hard Head Stadium from high above the stadium. What viewers saw was a nice stadium with virtually NOBODY INSIDE THE STADIUM!!!

That PERFECTLY describes Steve Ross. He can build a nice stadium. But he CAN’T BUILD a team very many people want to see.

Give me the historic Orange Bowl with the ’72 Dolphins inside the stadium any time.

  27. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

  38. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

GETTING A TOP 5 Quarterback isn’t nearly enough to offset our myriad problems.
THOSE PROBLEMS can only be cured by a change in ownership. Ross
has proven beyond a doubt that he is UNABLE to hire the RIGHT PEOPLE
    to run an NFL franchise.

    PERIOD.

  39. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I really thought you’d see us exploit their secondary early today. I thought we were getting enough protection to make those plays, but Brissett missed several throws and guys could’ve made a couple catches too. It didn’t feel like the OL was the issue early. I really wish we’d still run a little more….hard to do from behind, I get that too. In the second half the OL started to look worse to me, and the play calling still seems disjointed. It just feels like nobody is on the same page offensively. Hard to say.
    ***
I can’t praise the defense. They are still giving up big plays and some poor run D. They were put in tough positions all day, but still….you’d like to see a little more, I think. Gotta say the offense let you down today but if you want to be a top tier defense you need to play better.

  40. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

  42. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

The defense played well enough to win today. The offense and STs killed us along with other timely mistakes. I’d rather see us throw a few picks trying to make big plays then watch this offense stumble all day within 10 yards.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Brissett is part of the problem. Like Ken has said he’s very conservative and does not push the ball down the field. We need Tua back so at least we can try and grow as an offense. It’s not going to happen with Brissett. That’s why he’s a backup.

    • Phindog's avatar Phindog says:

      Right? 😎👍🐕🥃🥃

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

They gave up over 130 yards running. Wentz completed 75% of his passes and we got 2 sacks on an immobile QB with a banged OL. Our D played like shit

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

We’ve had Tua behind center. And now we have Brisset. Complaint is the same — they don’t throw deep. At a certain point you have to wonder if it ain’t the QBs at fault.

  43. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

So middle -to-late in the 3rd Q we make back to back completions. That was big enough, but they were to Parker and Gesicki….. their first catches of the game. Then we score a couple TDs….. pretty much throwing to Parker and Gesicki the whole time.

WTF happened? Why weren’t we doing that before? Clearly at least someone knew those were the guys to go to.

  44. New Age's avatar New Age says:

    ORob,

I’m surprised you let a few comments affect you. Your dislike of Tua as our QB may still be warranted but some of your reasons why Brisset has looking like hot garbage could also fit for tua, right? We are more than a QB away and our total ineptitude on offense won;t allow us to measure Tua’s ability. It reminds me of Sam Darnold’s situation honestly.

  45. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

for the non intelligent posters who are blaming the QB, we are losing these games in the trenches. we can’t run and we’re being run on.
we are a weak passive team, you have to impose your will to win, it’s a physical game, it’s called football.
    why that is?
maybe it’s due to the inexperience of the guys up front.

  46. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I’m kind of hoping it’s something as simple as whomever is actually calling plays is just bad at it. At least if that’s the case, you can replace him and try to get better. If it’s because the whole fricking offense sucks, that’s much harder to fix.

  47. manitobafinfan's avatar manitobafinfan says:

Jets go up by 3 in OT over Titans

  48. Phindog's avatar Phindog says:

  49. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

Tua sucked last year, he may have been resonsible for 1 win (cards), he threw less than 100 yards in 3 of the 9 games he played, He avg 200 YPG! that sucks! he got bailed out by Fitz in the Raider game, he got crushed against Buffalo twice!
we won last year due to our defense and turn over ratios.
Tua certainly didn’t lead us to victory

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I’m an intelligent poster so I don’t blame the QB. It’s a team game.

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

Your comments are lame, all i have been hearing all day is it’s Brissetts fault, never mind we can’t run or stop the run, your presumptions are wrong, i place blame where ever i think it lies.

ORob — am sure my comments are lame by your standards. Understand not as football smart as you — how could I not? Think it unfair of you to judge me by your own standard though. You have to understand that you are a special person gifted with abilities that few can match. Hitting on others for not having the same is simply cruel. Can’t you have compassion for lesser beings?

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

quit being sarcastic and read what you write, you label my position as “never balming the QB” where did i say that? your making shit up as you go and being sarcastic along the way. i wasn’t even referring to anything you said and you stick your nose in on a sarcastic rant. what’s up with that?

“for the non intelligent posters who are blaming the QB, we are losing these games in the trenches. we can’t run and we’re being run on.”

Games plural and we’ve had two QBs this year.

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

yes games is plural, last i checked we’ve lost 3 in a row, and all i’ve been hearing is how brissett sucks and why would i choose him over tua.

is that clear enough for you or do you have anymore sarcasm?

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Have tons more sarcasm. Includes how you attack the Fest and then me and then take offense cause don’t like it. I like you ORob, but maybe not today.

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

believe me the feeling is mutual, maybe you should go back to the top of this segment and discover who was the first between you and i to direct the sarcasm, I understand you don’t like it so maybe you shouldn’t give it.

  63. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

The pass play called back because of Jackson’s illegal hands to the face, we had two receivers in the same area.

A couple of plays later we had 3 receivers in a 5 yd area near the sideline. Might as well add play design to the numerous questions surrounding this team.

  64. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

YOUNG STANGER: I DEFINITELY believe that beating a couple of teams with losing records will NOT turn this season around. NOR will most fans be fooled into thinking we will win a playoff game or have any semblance of a “good season” this year. Most on this board are aware that the Dolphins have NOT won a playoff game THIS CENTURY. And most on this board are aware that Ross has owned this franchise for about two-thirds of the last 21 years. His record of futility and his overall winning percentage since taking control of the franchise are THE WORST IN FRANCHISE HISTORY. SO no warm fuzzies are headed our way, even if we manage to beat a couple of lousy teams. WE ALL know the final act of 2021 will be STILL NO PLAYOFF WINS.
    —————————–
THIS FRANCHISE needs new ownership more than anything else. New GM. New scouts. NEW president of Football Ops. And a significant reworking of the coaching staff after a thorough review at season’s end.

SADLY, Steve Ross has proven he’s simply not up to the task. You are what your overall record says you are. And in Ross’s case, his record says he’s a loser when it comes to building a winning franchise in the NFL.

WE NEED A NEW OWNER who can lead us in a positive, winning, direction.

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Unfortunately unless we have several hundred million dollars sitting around not much we can do about the ownership

        Okay so I am cheap

      • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

KEN; Supposedly, several years ago, Ross designated another guy from New York as the next owner of the Dolphins. They signed some kind of “understanding” about it. I don’t know if that document is still in force, or not. If not, there’s no shortage of billionaires today (unlike 2008 when Ross bought the team). If Ross said “The Dolphins Are For Sale,” there’d be strong interest from day #1. But as long as 80 something Steve Ross is hell bent on continuing to own the team, the fans are screwed.

Well, I’m tired of being screwed by Steve Ross. So I’m OUT after this season. And I’m far from the ONLY one.

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Still doesn’t change the fact that there is nothing we can do about ownership unless you are planning to shoot Ross. Wait a minute you are not planning to …

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I doubt ownership is at fault, you are looking at the current end result of trying to get the right guys for the job, Ross doesn’t interfere with the F.O. on football decisions, he tries to make an educated guess prior to the outcome. wasn’t Flores a top candidate? it would seem Ross is willing to do anything to field a winner,
judging it from a hindsight position is easy.

    • bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

      Agree on all points here.

      • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

YOU GUYS can give Ross a free pass if you want to. I WON’T. He’s picked so many losers to run this organization I couldn’t possibly list all of them all. He MUST be held accountable. And HE WILL BE. Season tix will fall dramatically if this season ends up 6-10 or worse. And, after well over 50 years of patronage, I will be one of those. I have certain standards that MUST be met. Ross, unlike all of the prior owners, has failed to meet those standards. So I’m out!

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Do you like that Ross spent $500 million upgrading the stadium? I really appreciate the shade for three-quarters of the seats and the escalators at least.

I don’t really get the errors, physical and mental. Seriously, NOT disciplined football!

    Top to bottom fuck ……..

I’m kinda flabbergasted, almost whip lashed….

  74. OROB, I dont love You and still treat You with more respect than You give to Tua, lol

Brissett is not half as good as Tua, brissett sucks!

  75. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

What’s so bad about people from NY?

  76. the team needs better coaching

  77. why did the team have better coaching last year? this double OC experiment isnt working well, and its going to reflect bad on Flores

  78. Tua will be back on the field for the jaguars game in london

  79. New Age's avatar New Age says:

The teams on the easy part of our schedule have looked far better than us this week. I’m not sure we have any easy part of the schedule but we have about 4-5 more games I don’t see us winning in at all. 9-8 might be the goal soon.

I don’t want to toot the fan base’s horn or ours too much, but every single issue the team has…has been mentioned by fans. Dual OCs, OL issues, slow starting offense, run stopping, We aren’t Nostradamus, it’s just the exact same issues as last year but worse. This article says Grier is a turd and that no one wants to coach here even though Flores is good. It’s interesting and after watching our coaches…hard to dismiss.

  80. New Age's avatar New Age says:

I’m watching the Cardinals, new guys Kliff and Murray, and feel sickened and jealous. They are dominating a SB contender. We couldn’t even compete with an injured 0-3 Colts team.

    • bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

This is exactly what pisses me off now. I used to be patient, no more! I want excellence. It is ridiculous.

      • New Age's avatar New Age says:

Me too. We haven’t spent 40 years in a desert but its’ been a LONG time of mediocrity for a fan base.

  81. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

KEN: NOT SURE of the relevance?? My relevance is that I’m hardly the only one who has had a bellyfull of Steve Ross. Look at all the empty seats at the stadium. So many loyal fans are pissed at Ross’s failures to hire the right people to run the franchise. They expect success. What’s wrong with that?

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

I am guessing that is not why Mrs Ross is leaving him

    • bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

There have been empty seats at Dolphins games going back to the Shula days, or visiting fans taking over. That, to me, is not a Ross issue. Can’t choose to alter history to make a point. Dolphins fans have had a reputation for a long time of not showing up for games

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Not many empty seats these days, even if might have been at the end of this game. Our group ticket broker said there were like 12k more seasons this year, which really put the squeeze in on getting Fest tix.

      • bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

I see empty seats every game, and if not it’s because of visiting teams fans.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Maybe a better way to put it was “unsold” seats.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

What I can’t figure out is why you would give up those prime seats earned after so many years when you could make two thousand plus off them by putting them up on stubhub. And those parking passes are worth a bunch too. For the Fest game they are going for $98 each. So big money for you. And you’d always have the option of going to a game.

  82. Steve Ross hired George Soros attorney William D Zabel for the divorce

  83. Ross wife, Kara, designed jewelry for Michele Obama and Oprah Winfrey

she probably left Ross because he is a trumper, alot of marriages broke up over Trump

Just got back from doing bond in next county. Needed that drive to calm the mind.

Came back and scrolled quickly to catch up. All I got was the Dolphins suck because of Donald Trump and people still insist on keeping the irrelevant Kardashian’s relevant.

Or, did I scroll to fast?

  93. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Only 2 undefeated teams left (Cards and Raiders). Raiders could go down Monday night.

Also, 49er’s lose to Seahawks and fall to 2-2.

  97. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

The first two years showed what it takes to be successful. With supposedly more talent, one has a greater expectation to build and improve on that foundation.

What happened to that foundation? Wtf?
