Last night was fun! Admittedly, I didn’t watch from start to finish, I vowed not to do that because it was really frustrating me to waste 3+ hours while twisting myself into knots. I care, we all do, that’s why we come here and talk. What happened last night was unexpected. No way in hell did I see that coming. Considering the fact that we were outscored 137-16 (I heard Aikman say that near the end of the broadcast) the last 3 games against the Ravens, there was no reason to expect a good result.
A few questions that need to be answered . . . If Tua is healthy enough to be the backup QB, is he not healthy enough to start? The next question is does Xavien Howard have to force a fumble and recover it in order for us to win games? He has done just that in two of our three victories. The next question is, do we buy into this team after 2 straight victories?
Here’s my take on questions one through three. It’s like this in my mind, either Tua should be playing or he shouldn’t. If he’s hurt and can’t play, he’s OUT. If he’s healthy enough to play, he STARTS. It’s confounding to me the way they are treating Tua and I honestly think it’s inexplicable. If he truly is our QB, then he’s the QB. To be clear, there’s no reason that Tua shouldn’t be our QB, Brissett is clearly the lesser of the two and Tua gives us the best chance to win. When people say “I already know what QB Tua is/will be”, I scoff at that. Players evolve differently. Specifically, this team’s roster has been in such a state of flux, I don’t know how anything on the offense can be evaluated properly. We have different WR’s lining up each week, and the truth is, our two best WR’s Parker and especially Will Fuller haven’t been 100% and in Fuller’s case haven’t been on the field. Preston Williams has also missed extensive time. It’s been a revolving door, and then add in the constant shuffling of the O-line. Deiter, Mancz, Reiter, there’s a different offensive center every game and sometimes during the game. You know what helps players the most? C-O-N-S-I-S-T-E-N-C-Y. We’ve had none of that. No offense to anyone who said that they know what Tua is, but I couldn’t disagree more after just 14 games over two totally different seasons.
So we get a big win in prime time, and man, that was enjoyable. I say savor it because you never know when the next win is going to come. I know we play the Jets at MetLife next and some people are going to get ahead of themselves, although most of us here won’t fall into that trap, we’re seasoned Dolphins fans and we know better. The Jets also had a shocker when they knocked off the AFC North upstart Cincinnati Bengals 34-31 in Week 8. Who knows which Jets team shows up, the one that beat the Bengals or the one that gave up 54 points and 45 points to the Patriots and Colts respectively?
Our schedule for what it’s worth appears a little easier with games against the Jets, Camolina Panthers and then the NY Football Giants before we hit our BYE week in NFL Week 14. If we can duplicate last night’s effort the next 3 weeks is it possible we go into the BYE 6-7? I wouldn’t bet on it, and I think Brian Flores is really showing a lot of signs of WTF? lately. I expected growth from him and it almost seems like we’re seeing regression instead. This team has developed a pattern of being strong in the first quarter and then falling off a cliff. We’re pretty successful on our first drive but then the offense just disappears after that. That’s coaching, not on the players. That needs to be addressed.
Some interesting stats to digest. In the 1st Quarter, we are #7 in scoring. In the 2nd Quarter, we’re #32. In the 3rd Quarter, we’re #30. In the 4th, we’re #18. If that doesn’t point to coaching, what does? It says when we go by game plan we start out well, but as soon as we have to adjust, we completely deteriorate. I know Flores is young and inexperienced. You can be a great positional coach and teacher but when you’re responsible for running the entire show, well that’s a different story. I think Flores needs at least one very experienced coach to be his right hand man. I know Jim Caldwell was supposed to be that guy, and I think it’s a big loss that never materialized. Game management is a difficult skill to learn. You don’t want to step on the toes of your coordinators and you have to watch everything, managing time outs, challenges, substitutions all while watching the game clock and managing that as well. Having someone who’s done it but doesn’t threaten to take your job would be a welcome addition here. I think Flores has a good foundation, but I’m not 100% convinced he’s capable of running the whole show right now.
It didn’t count, but man was that fun to watch when mammoth RG Robert Hunt intercepted the screen pass intended for Myles Gaskin and rumbled towards the endzone and then made an incredibly athletic twisting leap for the goal line that Barry Sanders would be proud of. It didn’t count because he was an ineligible receiver, he didn’t report as an eligible receiver which is required but it was so crazy and amusing! I’m happy we won but the only thing that can keep me happy is more wins, and lots of ’em. Let’s hope we can be focused and keep the positivity flowing in New Jersey against our division rival NY Jets.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

It sure was accommodating of the Lions to give the Steelers two extra time outs
LMAO OMG
Unbelievable.
LOL, very fitting ending
Yup
My best friend who’s a Steelers fan must be thrilled with the tie
Son is eliminated
Damn, sorry Toba
It’s what he gets for asking my advise 🤷♂️… both Darlene and him followed my suggestions after I was eliminated and they are eliminated in back to back weeks ..
Well fought game between the Lions and Stealers*. Dan Campbell is on the cusp of turning that team around.
They have played tough and lost a lot of games last second
Indeed! I will forever respect Dan Campbell after seeing him on Hard Knocks with our Phins.
What happens after Drake throws down a cool mil at a strip club.

“In the hours following the tragic events at Astroworld, Drake hosted an after-party at Dave and Buster’s, and then spent $1 million dollars at a strip club.
According to social media posts from associates of the Toronto rapper, Drake hit the Houston strip club Area 29 on Saturday night”
And he chose D&Bs as well. Anyone got a mil to bring to Tootsies as an after party next Fest?
Yeah, but it will be Monopoly money. 😉
It took OT for Jared Goff to pass for over 100 yards… and the Lions damn near upset the Stealers*… granted it was Mason Rudolph at the helm for the Stealers*.

I was looking at the CAP space for next year and OT f/a’s. I think we should sign a top LT and move Eich back to RT where he feels more comfortable at.
Terron Armstead, LT, Saints. He is 31 and still a beast. Saints are broke as fuck. With 37 players under contract for 2022 they are still 51 million over the CAP. No way they can afford him.
Orlando Brown, Jr., LT, Chiefs. He is only 26. Chiefs have 32 million in CAP space but only have 26 players under contract for 2022. They are tied with the Texans for having the fewest players under contract. That 32 million will disappear fast if they resign Brown then try to put together the rest of the team. Hopefully they don’t get a deal done before free agency signings begin.
Eric Fisher, LT, Colts. He is 31. Colts have 58 million in CAP space (34 players) and probably resign him.
I didn’t look at any of the other OT’s available who might come a little cheaper.
As a reference, we have 77 million in CAP space with 36 players under contract. The 36 is about average for the NFL as a whole. There are 14 teams with fewer players under contract than us and 3 others tied with us at 36.
—————-
Terron Armstead, out of M13 University?!! HELL YEAH!!! Arkansas Pine-Bluff, as I recall (I didn’t look it up). I touted and pounded the table for that kid!
But the thing is, he’s a Left Tackle and will command $$$. If Tua is our starter next season, we need a “Terron Armstead” at Right Tackle.
Wanted us to sign OLB Haason Reddick this last offseason. He got his 9th sack of the season so far today. He is tied for 3rd in the league now. He has 21.5 sacks in his last 25 and one quarter games. (This game just started 2nd quarter).
He will be an UFA again in 2022. This is only his 5th season.
WTF did Drake withdraw $1m in cash from? Even if it was all in 100’s that would be 23 lbs of bills.
Multiply from much smaller amounts…… you just need a duffle bag, and not even a large one. Wouldn’t have to be all 100’s either. Obviously he planned ahead for it, but assuming he has some guy like Turtle in Entourage to take care of such.
It didn’t say he brought it all in cash. 😂🙄
End of the day he spent one mil at a strip club. If he paid the fees to get the make it rain money on his credit card, then he wasted money. But then he did spend on million at a strip club….. so maybe not his top priority.
But the thing is, he’s a Left Tackle and will command $$$. If Tua is our starter next season, we need a “Terron Armstead” at Right Tackle.
—————————————————-
I knew Armstead was YOUR GUY, lol. Thing is, the left side is our worst side. Bring in Armstead or Brown, then move Eich back to RT where he is more comfortable. Leave them alone the whole offseason and preseason. Let them gel for once before the season starts. Can also draft another OT in addition to signing one.
Thing that gets me is, last year, Kindley at RG with Hunt at RT looked promising to me. Why did they F that all up and not let it develop more?
But wasn’t Eich a natty LT out of Notre Dame… where he didn’t give up a single sack?
M13, What do you think of Alabama WR Jameson Williams?
Other than make you want to drink whiskey or bourbon. lol
Man, I don’t drink liquor. I quit drinking that stuff well over a decade ago.
This move to AZ has been great so far. The time change that doesn’t effect us, is now I have to do the math to watch something. I always subtracted by 3, now it’s by 2 and I have to wait an hour to watch something 😆🐕🥃🥃
So now you are just the Mountain Standard Dude. 🙂

Yup, but now I have to adjust the brain instead of the clocks. Guess witch one is easier.😎🐕🥃
It’s still always 1 o clock LOL
You are correct sir.I have to explain that clock to everyone that sees it. 😂

————
Bro, you are SO far ahead of me in college scouting this year. I’ll have to check him out… and THANK YOU for the heads up! 😀
Yeah, do that. He’s 6’2 and runs in the 4.3’s. Very good route runner.
Here are the ladies after Drake’s visit. I’d be happy too. Never seen such a mound of cash in my life.
Those were dollar bills. Was someone just exaggerating?
It was huge pile of dollar bills then. And I can’t see what is underneath, know what was given in other ways or ended up on the credit card.. But yeah Drake’s team might have put out a bigger number than true.
Man is this league unpredictable or what? Some crazy scores and upsets.
I think Carolina will be a tough game.
I think most games are going to be tough for us.
But wasn’t Eich a natty LT out of Notre Dame… where he didn’t give up a single sack?
———————————————-
Yeah, you’re right, I believe. Frustrating! It has to be the coaching. Hunt, highly regarded RT in draft. Kindley, tough nosed bull OG and was in the top 10 of OG’s that draft. Jackson, one of the top OT’s his draft. Eich, highly regarded but not top 5, though it was a big OT class last year. In 2022 draft, he would be top 5.
Is our OL scouting that piss poor or are they being mismanaged and poorly coached?
This is Eich’s first year but why have Jackson, Hunt and Kindley all regressed from last year? Why does it look like we drafted Eich in the 7th round? Hell, even Davis has regressed.
Yeah but young OL struggle early on. Both Jackson and Hunt were considered raw prospects with big upside. Kindley was a 4th rounder who showed some good things but has fallen out of favor. Eichenberg is still a rookie. Not sure it’s all on the coaches but the fact that we overloaded our OL with too many young guys who aren’t really ready yet. That and we’ve used 3 centers this year. It’s hardly been ideal.
I really hate this new camera thing they do during games that makes it feel like a video game. They even do it for reporting. The background is all blurry, and the front center person looks almost like virtual reality.
Reddick with another .5 sack, 22 sacks in last 26 games now.
Trump International Hotel in DC has been sold. Will no longer carry the Trump name. Used to be the hot spot for the Trump faithful to hang out at while he was Pres.
—————————————-
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former President Donald Trump’s family hotel company has reached a deal to sell the rights to its Washington, D.C., hotel for $375 million. Miami-based investment firm CGI Merchant Group is in contract to acquire the lease
The Trump International Hotel is in a historic building a few blocks from the White House that the Trump Organization leases from the U.S. government. The hotel has been a popular gathering spot for Trump supporters and foreign dignitaries.
CGI intends to remove the Trump name and has reached an agreement with Hilton Worldwide Holdings to have the property managed and branded by Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria group.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a game this low scoring.
3-0 GB near the end of the 3rd quarter.
And with Rodgers playing. Has to make you wonder if his mind is all in it.
BBMike,
Man, Hasaan Reddick has REALLY turned it on over the last season and a half! He was another who I highly coveted in his Draft class, coming through M13 U!
And yes, I was HIGHLY against signing him as a FA this past season, being it was a contract year for Reddick.
It now looks as though he was played inappropriately over his first 3 seasons… guy is becoming a future stud.
Why the eff is Seattle calling timeouts? They are begging to get someone hurt.
ANSWER: Pete the Cheat Carroll doesn’t like to be shut out, especially when King Russell made his less-than-splendid return to active duty tonight.
—————-
Speaking of “KINGS,” Aaron the GREAT didn’t exactly look like Marino reincarnated tonight, either. Sorry, but these two likely HOF quarterbacks came up a bit “short” in this game.

Fake Vaccine, anyone??
Yeah, they both kind of stunk
BBM asks “Is our OL scouting that piss poor or are they being mismanaged and poorly coached?” (6:04 PM).
My votes are;
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Yes
It’s been an on going process for 13 consecutive seasons!!!
And Maestro Steve Ross has no known plans to correct this.
Football was kind of meh today. No real entertaining games
I thought it was great, some NFC teams took down some of the afc teams ahead of us, both Denver & san diego lost, Detroit ties Pittsburgh, we are 2 games in the win column back from competing for a playoff spot.
But the games were all pretty boring. Some pretty ugly football today
https://www.nfl.com/standings/conference/2021/REG
KC punter got an arm.
The HDS was definitely involving Henne with the “H”. It could have been the same as what people said with the TDS – Henne Derangement Syndrome.
That’s where the quote “looking at snow for the first time with mindless amazement” came from.
– Bat
i don’t think that’s what it stood for, i was a card carrying member of the HDS, there were a few others and some believed in Henne but not the PB. i think H stood for Haters.
not sure though.
Maybe where it started but what it ultimately was was the Henne Disbelievers Society
Ahh, that could be it. Maybe it went through a couple iterations, that’s why a few of us remember Henne Derangement.
Or maybe we’re all old, and it was really a Healthy Day Spa.
Those Drake in the club videos remind me of my childhood and how baller I used to be at Chuck E. Cheese.
No one can resist
Maybe it was Hating Dumb Shits?
It now looks as though he was played inappropriately over his first 3 seasons… guy is becoming a future stud.
——————————————–
M13, Re: Reddick, yes, he was played inappropriately. When I wanted us to sign him this last offseason, I said his first 3 years were meh. The reason was, in all their wisdom, AZ drafts one of the top OLB sack artists and moves him to ILB his first 3 seasons. AZ’s new coach, after keeping him at ILB in 2019 decided to move him back to his natural OLB position in 2020 for the final year of his contract and BOOM 12.5 sacks last year. Now, he is on track to surpass that.
Crazy thing is, he is not that big of a guy. He is just a true OLB sack artist.
What I really hate about it is would could have locked up pass rush OLB at a good price. He signed a 1 year deal for 6 mil with Carolina. Now, he will command more.
He will probably end up at WFT, Broncos or Chargers who will have more CAP than us next year. My guess would be Chargers to pair up with Bosa and also because they have more pieces in place to really challenge in 2022.
71,62, and 75m are the over the cap 2022 cap numbers for those 3 teams, while ours is 77m
With that much cap space by all 4, it shouldn’t have an affect on which team he goes to
We also have Ogbah to sign, I’d rather have Ogbah, he’s more valuable to us
The jets have beaten Tenn. And Cin., good thing we don’t have double Ns in our name🤪
After the jets latest D Fup, giving up 45 pts in 3 of last 4, and more than we gave up in 4 straight in 2019, they had a team meeting…they may come out against us with a little fire at the start, but their QB play has been bad
Wilson may be back this week though, while not great, not as bad as it’s been
Steve, you must have went by overthecap. I went by spotrac numbers. You’re right it won’t affect which team he goes to.
Man, Chargers and Bengals have some good pieces in place with a huge amount of cap space next year. Their GM’s have to feel good going into next year.
Sounds like Alex Jones decided his smartest move in the lawsuits brought by Sandy Hook parents was simply to not defend himself. Maybe he chose that cause knew getting on the stand and insisting that Sandy Hook was (or even could have been) a false flag operation would not enhance his image….. and he’d lose anyway.
——————————————————–
” A Connecticut judge found InfoWars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones guilty by default in a defamation lawsuit brought by families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
Superior Court Judge Barbara Bellis said that Jones’ refusal to hand over documents and financial records rendered him guilty by default after years of dodging court orders to surrender the papers.
The Monday decision in the lawsuits brought by eight families comes weeks after a judge in Texas found Jones liable for damages in three other cases brought by the parents of a pair of students who were killed in the 2012 mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, that claimed the lives of 20 first-graders and six educators.”
I don’t know when or why this article was written, but he admitted he was wrong about Sandy Hook years ago and apologized.
It was written cause the ruling just came out on this today. It sounds like Jones did not cooperate with discovery to the point that the Judge rendered a default judgement. That is extremely rare.
No he never really apologized and has been very nuanced in his public statements
He has obstructed discovery at every stage of the case. I know the attorneys involved in this case and I have seen a lot of the pleadings it has been a shit show
Any clue why a rational defendant who can be recovered from would purposefully let a case go into default instead of settle?
He can claim bankruptcy if there is a judgment
And bankruptcy is the angle I didn’t consider.
What he is trying to do is prevent the disclosure of his financial records. He may wind up accepting a judgment if he doesn’t have to disclose his financial records
So he just doesn’t want people to know how much he is worth? That means he has to write the checks cause his financials are fair game with a court order in hand. Why should he care that much about his net worth getting out there?
I don’t think it’s to claim bankruptcy
The financial statements are based on the claim from the families that he profited from the misinformation. He clearly didn’t want to give them that ammo which could have been public – maybe they increase their damages sought in the case.
He’s just dead to rights in the case and decided he wouldn’t help them prove their damages and probably didn’t want his audience knowing how much he makes off delivering the “information” he does
Some of what Flores told the press today via the Herald.
——————————————————
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa remains limited with his fractured middle finger on his throwing hand but will start Sunday at the Jets, coach Brian Flores said. “He’s definitely limited; definitely some discomfort,” Flores said.
“He hit the finger again [Thursday against Baltimore]. We will monitor that as the week goes. Get the swelling out of there, do the best we can.”
—-
“Meanwhile, Flores said receiver Will Fuller likely will miss a seventh consecutive game with a finger injury.”
“Fuller, center Michael Deiter (foot) and running back Malcolm Brown (quad) are all eligible to return from injured reserve but none are ready physically to play on Sunday, Flores said.”
—-
Meanwhile, safety Jason McCourty is out for the year with a foot injury sustained last month. Receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring) must spend at least one more week on injured reserve.
—
For weeks, the Dolphins have discussed having right guard Robert Hunt and right tackle Jesse Davis flip positions. But they have opted against it to this point. Flores didn’t rule it out.
—-
Rookie Safety Jevon Holland is “mature beyond his years, smart, talented,” Flores said. “Very much so a professional. From an intangible standpoint, he has a lot of things we’re looking for. Combine that with his athletic ability, ability to do multiple things” and that’s a good package.
Can you imagine being one the parents having to deal with a piece of shit like Alex Jones? Fucking disgusting garbage, he is!!!
Fuller….smh
It doesn’t take 7 weeks for a finger to heal…lmao, smh.
I hand a broken thumb in 5th grade from playing football, it took 6 weeks to heal, but yeah I’m with you on there’s more to FullerV being out
And with today’s technology and rehab, seems implausible.
Jones is just a shock jock, you guys should be more worried about inflation, supplies not getting into port, borders and other things
I’m worried about those too, but the Sandy Hook comments were extremely offensive, shock jock or not. I grew up not so far away from there and heard stories when visited.
Yet I don’t remember you ever posting about any of them in a way that shows you’re worried.
And you wonder why we think you’re a partisan dem
Not partisan dem, partisan establishment
“partisan establishment” works well for me. So does RINO. Only label I complained about was liberal. Cause I am definitely not that.
Pro establishment screams corruption enabler, as does biden supporter
You do get more than half the people who voted chose Biden? And your scream off establishment is what you hear. But I have no problem with your views. None at all.
Don’t agree, that over half the people voted biden
Establishment isn’t what I hear it’s what I see
We all know, that all levels of our govt have corruption, the higher up the more corruption, you choose what establishment means to you and I’ll do the same
Shock jock is one thing, Howard Stern. Disturbing the dead and those grieving over loss of loved ones is shameful, to say the least. He’s a piece of shit!!!
Shameful enough that you can get sued over it and lose. There’s an extraordinarily high legal bar for such.
Justin Hier from phinsider grades our top 4 rookies.

Alex Jones is a loon.
fullers injury was significant or so i heard, there are different types of breaks, around the joint could be serious.
I’ll throw my 2 cents in on how long it takes a break in a finger to heal. My daughter broke her middle finger the week before Easter. A mishap with a wild pony she had caught and was trying to train. First it was taped and splinted with the hope it would heal. After 6 weeks, it hadn’t. Then surgery, 3 pins placed, used bone stimulator twice a day to promote healing. X-rays periodically to check progress and then pins removed 8 weeks later. So add it all up and it took months.
It depends on the type of break. If it’s straight across, maybe an easier process. The type she had was more the bone was sheared off diagonally from one joint to the next.
What do some of you think is the reason there is more to Fuller being out than a finger injury?
TIM; AS a former X-Ray tech in both the military and civilian life, I can verify that SOME finger fractures can take MONTHS to heal properly, especially in tropical climates where infections are common. Whether that’s the case with Fuller, or NOT, I don’t have a clue. However, I doubt the Dolphins are “saving him” for a future trade involving Watson or some other QB.
But, with Little Stevie Blunder, almost ANYTHING, no matter how stupid or far-fetched, is possible. As in hiring T-Baum after his colossal failures as Jets GM. THAT GRIM REALITY is a reason why some suspect there’s more to this story than meets the eye. WHEN Joe Robbie gave DON SHULA TOTAL CONTROL OF THE PLAYER’s ROSTER, this kind of shit seldom/NEVER happened.
Just another reason why the sooner Ross is gone, the better it will be for this once great franchise.
So you went from a player finger injury to giving Stephen Ross the finger. LOL
If there’s anyone here that wants tickets to Sundays game at MetLife, my friend has 3 tix available.
Let me know if you want them
THE Monday Night Football cameras showed an overhead view of Levi’s Stadium just before kickoff. The place was 75-80% vacant!!! Of course, 8:20 kickoffs in the East translate to 5:20 kickoffs in California. Perhaps half or more of this crowd is still stuck in traffic on the Freeways. —Ah the joys of living in California!!!
Jimmie Ward, DB, M13 University.
Nevertheless, GO RAMS!!!
Just observed Aziz Al-Shair playing LB for the Niners. About 3 years ago he played his final year at FAU. He’s regarded as the BEST LB to ever play for the Owls. He brought 3 of his siblings with him to the FAU campus where, eventually, they all attended the on campus high school. His Mom kept the other 3 siblings at her home and raised them as a single mom. All of these kids I’m told have done well at school. But I wonder HOW I WOULD HAVE DONE had I been called upon to raise 3 kids while I attended college. It’s an a most amazing story that, so far, has a happy ending.
Kudos to Al-Shaiir, who has proven that he is far more than just a football player!!
Good story, Mr. Campbell! I did not know that.
Rams are looking anything but Super Bowl contenders thus far tonight.
“A mishap with a wild pony she had caught and was trying to train.”
There is an immense amount of ‘cool’ inherent in this statement, lol.
I’m only seeing the play by play on NFL.com. Why the heck did the Rams go for it instead of kicking the FG?
Fake FG attempt but still bad decision
cheers , Ken
MF13: Glad you enjoyed the little story about Al-Shaair. In my 30 minute meeting with Howard Schnellenberger during the early days of FAU football, he told me “Randy, there are football players you and I have never heard of who will grace the halls of FAU and make us all proud of them. All I have to do is recruit as many good kids as I can and the rest will happen.” Just a few years after Howard retired, Al-Shaair was recruited and came to FAU.
Howard’s prediction CAME TRUE. There are many really good kids who have walked on Schnellenberger Field at FAU. Aziz Al-Shaair is just one of them.
GO OWLS!!!
Tampa Bay Lightning just completed a 4-1 trouncing of the New York Islanders. Great night to be a sports fan!! Time to walk the greyhound and get some shut-eye. Three days from now I’ll be in Baltimore less than a mile from the Ravens’ stadium wearing my custom
Dolphins’ leather jacket which commemorates our back-to-back Super Bowl Championships!!
As SONNY MIGHT SAY, “Time to rub their noses in it!”
This Old Dolfan is OUT!!
There are still some good people out there… and I embrace all the good stories I can hear. Thanks for sharing, Old Dolfan!
Pretty crazy to realize that the 49ers have beaten the Rams over the last 4 straight head-to-head games. The 49ers seem to have the Rams’ number… even now with the additions of Von Miller and more.
Division games are tough.
No doubt about it.
Barring a miracle from the Rams, this game is OVER!
The music is tight(!), but the lead gentleman sounds like he’s the captain of an airliner or ship, playing MC. LOL
Anyway, Deion Sanders did a remake of this back in 1994…
Lol…I guess I need to retract my knock on Fuller’s “broken” finger!
It absolutely depends on the type and severity of the injury! My bad for judging something without all the information.
Mostly, it was an expression of my frustration of our expected 1st WR unit NOT being on the field this year….lol.
I don’t think you do, there’s something more going on here
Fuller said he didn’t want to play in Miami
Reminds me of the X situation in camp, after redo on his contract he was miraculously able to practice
Every fucking year Parker has hammy issues. Is doing something different, training wise, to prevent that? Hammy forever???
Is it genetic??? Lol…
Likely, maybe not specific to hamstring, but with body proteins and the muscle fiber strength. Some people cannot support the strength they amass. You can get stronger than your muscles and ligaments can handle, this is how you have body builder blow out entire muscle groups doing their lifts where as a big fatty can throw massive boulders a mile in the strong man competitions. Some people are not built for dense muscles and strength, some are built for show some are built for elongated muscles and speed and my guess is he just has too much burst strength than the ligaments and surrounding muscles can support. Genetic has to be in play because of the wide variance of what the human body can handle person to person.
His hamstring is like shredded pork
The easiest way to make sure DeVante “Carnitas” Parker never has another hamstring issue is to trade him to another team.
Lmao…..shredded pork, indeed. And, agree as I thought we should have dumped them all last year.
Parker hasn’t had a good reputation for doing what it takes to maintain peak playing shape as a professional.
But when healthy he’s still the best wideout on our team. Hence the conundrum.
I was just adding to the conversation of why he can never stay healthy. I’m not sure there’s much of a conundrum though. I would have moved on from him years ago.
“when” is the operative word. I’d rather have the same guy week-in, week-out. That’s how you develop “chemistry” if that means anything today.
sb7 — can’t argue against moving on from him, but then Fuller the Ghost is a FA and Parker is under a reasonable contract. We’ll need 2 starting wideouts to go with Waddle next year.
After last week, the pick we traded to the Igles moved up to #5 in the first round.
Our San Fran pick popped up to #12.
Have a feeling neither is gonna be top 10.
I don’t know if the vid will pop, but worth a click. And the parents were blaming their kids for the car crash. lol

Lmao! Bear worth watching twice…
That’s funny
Question is who left the key in the golf cart?
But who thought that would happen? So long as the kids can drive the cart why not leave it standing and ready? Don’t even lock my condo door…. but yeah could see my wife blaming me for that if anything ever happened.

____
I don’t think that makes us desperate enough to keep him though. We’ve got draft picks and will be in a good cap situation so we have options to bring in someone decent either through a draft, trade, or FA. I think we just need one quality WR to be opposite Waddle anyway.
We need to focus on extending Gesicki. Guys like Hollins, Ford, and Merritt can fill in fine at the end of the corps. See if Albert Wilson can prove some consistency and re-sign him. I’m not sure if Preston Williams would be worth tendering.
I know people like to focus on the roster, but our OCs haven’t bothered using the roster to it’s full potential anyway. That would increase our output more than adding people. I’m still miffed they never used Grant like Darren Sproles.
Agree, except Landry was with different coaches, I think.
Hanging our hats on players that only play part-time while earning full-time pay is bullshit.
Done with Preston, too!
We can’t keep getting rid of guys like Parker, that have a lot of dead money.
He gets 1 more year, otherwise I’d say don’t let the door…
Even if he had a good game against the Ravens…. just not sold on Wilson. Ford and Merritt can play but not game changers. Parker is real good, but has to be on the field. Which is where we started.
You can have the key in, but in neutral. …lol
Obviously, had to do with golf cart…lol
Actually, with our win the pick to Philly dropped to #5 and with the 49er’s win we dropped from #10 to #12.
Still better than #26 that was predicted at the beginning of the season.
D….my response to your 10:18 am post:
Then, how did he get through college and be a become a 1st round pick? If he was having hammy issues in college then why did we pick him? If not, why are hammy issues a recent thing?
I know there is biological difference between all of us. And, running isn’t exactly the same as body building (totally unnatural stress to the body). Seems like poor habits, to me.
Do some fucking yoga!
He needs to find some Watson scrap to loosen him up
Lmao…something!!!!
“Officially, Isaiah Ford, 25, has been added to the Dolphins’ 53-man roster five times, added to the practice squad five times, released four times and traded once. That’s 15 times his name has appeared on the transactions wire,”
The booty call wideout.
That’s very odd, and he seems to play good for us.
We should have him as WR 6 next year, behind Parker, Waddle, Hurns, Bowden and Hollins
Not a glamorous group, but it won’t be too expensive and at least most will play week to week
He does play well for us, even if not great. But other teams don’t pick him up either except the Pats one time. Assume they all watch his tape.
Fucking Parker needs a trainer….ridiculous!
“Ogbah’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, recently said on his WSVN-Fox TV segment that discussions with the Dolphins on an Ogbah extension are ongoing.”
Great! And, the Gesicki discussions? Wtf?
Gesicki will be franchised, even if that turns into a long-term deal.
Yes, but I see it as another failure with FO….
I doubt Gesicki will be franchised, i don’t think Flores likes his game, if you jam him as Balt did he’s useless. He can’t block, he’s a slow slot rec, why would you want that? get a more dominate faster slot rec who can avoid a jam.
the thing with a franchise tag is it eats up his entire salary against the cap, if they wanted to continue with Gesicki, if they thought he was that valuable, they would’ve tried to sign him last summer. not only did they not try to sign him they drafted another T.E. in the 3rd round.
it doesn’t seem likely that they would do a 180 from the tea leaves they’ve been dropping since the draft.
They had their best corner covering him, from what I read….if true, a CB on a TE. WTF?
Teams do that all the time, put a corner on good receiving TEs. The Giants shut down Kelce with Bradbury covering him, the Panthers shut down Pitts with Gilmore covering him. That’s how teams are dealing with these talented receiving TEs.
Kinda my point……thanks. That’s why two other receivers had 100 plus games.
he doesn’t play te, he plays in the slot, he’s a slot rec, he’s a frail guy playing a tough sport, to stop gesicki all you have to do is jam him at the los. the word is out.
Ogbah on the other hand will demand a huge salary if he gets to double digit sacks, they certainly may franchise him.
With Ogbah it’s more than just sack totals, it’s pressures and he plays the run well. He’s a really good DE.
yeah but their salary is mostky based on sack totals
DE franchise amount is huge. They may sign him long-term but I don’t see the franchise coming. He’s got like 5 sacks so far.
I don’t think the durability issues with Parker is about work ethic, I think it’s just his body – especially his hamstrings and feet. That’s where his injuries always seem to be. Remember when we drafted him he had a foot injury in college and had to have surgery after we drafted him. That has continued throughout his career.
Omar is right on this…
But I’d go even higher… we should have drafted Najee Harris.
Why is every player in hindsight should have been drafted by us?
Because we SUCK! LOL
This has been going on for years. Should have done this instead. But it’s always in hindsight. That’s an easy game to play.
You also have to realize that Najee is operating behind one of the very worst O-Lines in the NFL… yet he still gets it done. NO, he’s not putting up Eric Dickerson-like numbers, but he keeps the Stealers* relevant DESPITE their awful O-Line.
We sure could have used a RB like that this year and beyond.
Cause if we could later repick each draft based on how things turned out we would win the Super Bowl every year.

I always play the FORESIGHT game, Bro! 😉
And to be honest, MANY of ‘Phins Nation’ wanted to draft Najee as well.
I like Najee Harris. But I’ve seen him play a few times this year and he hasn’t wowed me. He’s been good but not special. I don’t think he would be very good with us with our OL. He doesn’t have quick twitch quickness, he needs time to get going. That wouldn’t happen in Miami and he’s also a big target for defenders, he runs too high.
You do realize that he’s running behind a piecemeal O-Line, right? What’s more, he’s a weapon in the passing game, not to mention a great blocking RB, too.
And in Miami he’d be doing what?

But it doesn’t work that way, Stanger… surely you realize this. LOL
Quite aware. But wish it did work that way for us and no other team.
😉
By the way I think Jaelan Phillips is going to be a really good edge defender. He seems to be getting better every week. I’ll take his position over RB every time.
My hope is that Jaelan continues his upward trend.
I don’t see why he wouldn’t. I like what I’m seeing from him. He holds his ground at the POA, is learning about dropping in coverage and has been getting more pressures as the season goes on. For a guy his size he can really run and chase down plays. What I really like about him is he never gives up on plays. He’s just getting started.

Likely better than any of our RBs have fared thus far.
Pass-pro has been our problemo… not so much run-blocking.
NOT to say our run-blocking has been stellar, either. Just sayin’, a featured back like Najee could/would have paid dividends for us behind a weak O-Line, in general.
How many times do we see defenders all over our RBs before and at the LOS? Najee would be dealing with the same thing. We can’t run when we have to. I don’t think Najee is the type of back that would make it much better. Our offense has a lot of issues overall.

I see the Stealers* are facing the EXACT same issue as we are, in terms of what you just stated. Yet, they have to respect Najee… even though Big Ben’s arm is only half as strong as it used to be.
ORob isn’t wrong in his assessments. We need to stretch the field and get 8 ‘out of the box’ to advance our running game. Hopefully, a relatively healthy Tua is able to do just that next game.
A healthy Tua is going to be a top-5 QB in the NFL, in my opinion.
Yet a stud RB behind Tua is going to make it work even faster and better. Wish we would have drafted Najee, JMO.
We can’t block 7 step drops for the deep ball consistently enough. It’s easy to just say we need to stretch the field more, but we can’t block it. Just like we need to run the ball more, it sounds good but when you can only get the back to the LOS before being hit, I don’t care who you have at RB. Maybe a Barry Sanders type back could make a difference but they don’t grow on trees. LOL
Like I stated, JMO… and I don’t disagree with ya. I look at the G-Men, and Saquon can’t do it all behind their defunct O-Line, either.
correction, most of the time there have been 10 in the box, or within 10 yards of the los at the snap.
We could run if we’d stopping running the same 2 plays from the shotgun.
TRUE!
Almost every team runs out of shotgun, it’s not unique to us. How many running plays do you think there are? When we run close to the goal line using Wilkins as a FB in I-formation we still can’t block it up front. We keep looking for reasons when it always comes back to the OL. We see it every damn week. They can’t block basic plays. Our offense is always dealing with a jail break and it becomes sand lot football. We can’t run our offense with this OL. It’s not rocket science.
Go watch Jonathan Taylor, he runs out of shotgun basically all the time. The difference is the Colts OL can knock people off the ball and Taylor is really talented. He has the speed to blow up the 2nd level. But his OL allows him to get to the 2nd level often. We don’t allow are average backs to do that often.
I have my issues with PFF but everyone uses it so it is what is. They have our OL ranked 32nd.
Over the years, I’ve had a few arborists out to the house to identify a tree in my backyard, all to no avail. I only just discovered today it’s a Barry Sanders tree, but it only fruits once every 50 years, so no probably no Barry Sanders on the horizon. 😦
My name is Jango Fett… I’ve always advised to cryo-freeze these seeds. That way, we can *ahem* clone them. 😉
Is that the huge beautiful one you want to kill or another tree? Never wrote a check to an arborist in my life. But have to some dudes that turned trees into firewood.
Methinks the joke went over your head, Stanger!
There will NEVER be another Barry Sanders… and I concur.
You could be right M13. But we have had some lengthy discussions about one tree in Cav’s backyard,
LOL
Wonder if the NT tree ever produced after you moved? Sucks to think of NTs rotting away on the ground in your old backyard
I’ve been done with Parker for years now. I really don’t understand why he is still here…. I’m no genius and I don’t get why they keep him around to occupy the trainers room.
Bag of chips
Parker is a very talented WR but he’s 50-50 every week to be on the field. I can’t see him being on the team next year. Time to move on. He was drafted in 2015. Other WRs who can play will be available in the offseason whether through FA and/or the draft. The same with Preston Williams who is rarely available. He’s even worse than Parker with availability.
From what I’ve seen this year, if I’m GM I’m addressing OL, WR and RB in the offseason. Not that everyone has to go, but we need better and more reliable players at those positions. Every week we have to rely on different personnel on offense and our OL stinks!!! There is no continuity on offense.
LOL, get in line regarding our O-Line woes, man!
But let us be serious… do you really believe that we’ve consistently selected ‘bums’ (early draft picks) for our O-Line woes? I truly believe it’s more on the coaching than it is upon the drafting. Lemuel Jeanpierre must be replaced with a better O-Line coach.
I, for one, refuse to believe that after all we’ve spent on the O-Line is futile. That’s on the coaching… but that’s just me and IMO.
Yes I really believe that because of how they play. They’re professional adult athletes not children. What coaches are saying block the wrong guy or don’t block anyone at all?
It doesn’t mean these young guys don’t have upside, but we put them all together at the same time. They’re all developing at the same time. There is not one OL on our team that has a body of work as a consistent starter in the NFL. Not one!!!
With all the resourced spent on the OL, I don’t care who you are but you have to accidently hit on a couple at worst!
ER, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Who do you think our best O-Lineman is? Which guy do you say now that guy is a keeper? I got nothing!
Everyone thinks the Robert Hunt play was awesome but he didn’t even realize you can’t do that. As an OL guy from college he didn’t know that because of NFL coaching?
Maybe our young OL coach in Lemuel Jeanpierre is in over his head, but come on. This is basic stuff.
The OL is on Chris Grier. He’s the last voice on what the personnel will be.
I recorded the 30 for 30 on the Mets. Wife is still working so I decided to check it out. I’m loving it. They were such a cocky bunch. Dykstra is hilarious 😂
Tua is set to start this Sunday against the Jets. He will be knocked off his spot like we do every week and have to rely on improv. That’s not an offense.
We’ll win this game on defense, or not. The Jets record sucks at 2-6 while we’re 3-7. To me this game is 50-50.
Sorry Jets are 2-7. Same deal.
We don’t have a best OL….
Exactly!
“Jaelan Phillips now ranks second among all rookie edge players in quarterback pressures, with 22, behind only Baltimore’s Odaf Oweh. He’s now up to 2.5 sacks with eight quarterback hits.”
Via the Miami Herald
You can see him learning OLB and pure DE simultaneously. But he has shown he can physically do both. He’s just getting started. 🙂
Didn’t watch live as promised but caught the one hour highlights package the next morning. What a mistake that was. Seeing that in real time and watching the Ravens implode would have been so sweet. Never mind.
Not looking good for a Fuller return soon looking at this?

Not too shocking that Parker and Fuller have missed 15 out of 22 games….let’s keep them around for another few years collecting checks…..lmao!

Biden is pissing Me off, he can end inflation by ending the deceitful trump tariffs, but he hasnt got around to it yet
also China is manipulating currency and trade, and it takes almost 8 RMB to equal 1 Dollar. we cannot ever compete against china, with this ratio. and NOBODY in washington even discusses solutions for it
it feels good to have 8 times the buying power for chinese goods that we use, but its impossible for US manufacturing to compete at this ratio, AND have to pay the trump tariffs also
US corporations arent perfect, and need more regulation in the markets, but Chinese corporations are even worse.
if we dont value our freedoms, and protect our wealth, we wont have either
It’s Trump’s fault you’re mad at Biden? Seems like odd logic
its not trumps fault im mad at Biden, i never claimed that, read again?
Biden has the ability to stop inflation NOW< but he hasnt stopped the deceitful trump tariffs
i think all of us would like to see inflation abate, and this would do it
SB, no matter who is in the white house, and congress, the citizens have to demand more than what we have been getting
the rich will destroy us if we allow it
