The Dolphins defensive line is definitely an underrated unit in the NFL, by fans (including myself), by NFL talking heads, and of course by own local beat writers. It’s more than just the 3 guys pictured above, it’s the depth of the unit. Add in one of the best rotational DL in the NFL in Brandon Sieler, and backup NT John Jenkins and backup DE Adam Butler and it truly is a complete unit. It’s not the flashiest unit, and more than likely most NFL fans don’t know the front 3 pictured above by name. Emmanuel Ogbah has been about as steady as they come. He gets pressure so often, including 2 seasons ago when he had inadequate pressure coming from anywhere else. In 2020, Ogbah had 9 sacks and 21 QB hits, the team totaled 41 sacks. In 2021, Ogbah once again totaled 9 sacks and added 24 QB hits, the team though totaled 48 sacks. Christian Wilkins is an invisible elite player. Wilkins last season finished with 89 tackles (2nd on the team behind #55), 4.5 sacks and 13 QB hits. Raekwon Davis played injured most of last season but I have so much optimism that he will have a really nice season provided he stays healthy.
It’s not just the DL that’s underrated, it’s the entire defense. I’ll be the first to admit that I feel and have said so many times that for once I would like the defense to play like a championship defense and just shut down the other team, like our team gets shut down so often, especially when playing our own division rival Buffalo Bills. The problem is, the Bills just have a great offense, and Josh Allen gives them that running threat that we so often struggle with, while our own offense has been far from a juggernaut. The Bills averaged 28.5 PPG last season, good for 3rd in the NFL. No easy task to stop them, but 2 teams in particular shut them down, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bills were somewhat flat on opening day in Pittsburgh, only scoring 16 points. They won the TOP battle 33:17 – 26:43 and only lost the turnover battle 1-0. They had more yardage on the ground and especially in the air but couldn’t out the ball in the endzone. The 9-6 loss to the Jaguars was an aberration. Or was it? The jaguars stifled the run game, held both Singletary and Allen in check, sacked Allen 4 times and ran the ball themselves 27 times, for only 70 yards. They turned the Bills over 3 times. This is the kind of effort I’d love to see just once (or twice?) from our defense against the Bills.
OK, here’s the good news. I think there’s every reason to expect more from this defensive unit. This is a defense on the rise. Rookie OLB/DE Jaelan Phillips exploded toward the end of the season. He should be as good or better than that player was last season. We added an athletic inside LB in the draft, Channing Tindall who should help not only with Bills QB Josh Allen, but he can cover and will free up #55 Jerome Baker to create more havoc. AVG is still a player on the rise and I expect better things from as well this season. Did I mention we signed Melvin Ingram? Depth is better, Elandon Roberts is still a nice 1 or 2 down thumper in the middle, but Tindall gives them the speed and athleticism we’ve needed. We have the 2 veteran cover corners in Xavien Howard and Byron Jones. Both are excellent cover guys but X is clearly the playmaker, imposing his will on games so often. It’s not just INT’s, he creates forced fumbles and just has a knack for finding that football. The safeties are quite the trio, and underrated once again comes to mind. Jevon Holland had an excellent rookie season, and SS Brandon Jones seems to be becoming a full time starter and combines great tackling with strong blitzing abilities. Jones had 5 sacks last season and had the 3rd most tackles on the team, behind Wilkins and Baker.
Depth, depth, depth. Sieler, Jenkins, Butler. Ingram, Tindall, Eguavoen and Riley. Needham, Rowe, Igbinoghene. Is it possible we actually see the emergence of former 1st RD pick Noah Igbinoghene? He’s been showing up in camp, and it would be great for the talented young player to finally make it in the NFL. Nik Needham is one of my favorite Dolphins players, a guy who plays above his head all the time, max effort guy who does whatever the coaches ask. We basically brought last year’s defense back intact. We added a nice rookie LB (Channing Tindall) and a nice veteran LB/DE (Melvin Ingram). Once again, this is an ascending unit. If the offense can hold up their end of the bargain, be more balanced and be able to keep opposing defenses on the field longer, just imagine how much better our defense can be? All this remains to be seen, but it’s hard not to be optimistic that it can be so.

I’ll ask this question – What is the purpose, the goal of the investigation of Jan 6th? What do the Democrats hope to accomplish? Honest answers only please . . .
———————
To preserve our democratic institutions and to demonstrate how close they came to being subverted. Also to expose enough damning information about Trump so as to limit his ability to win another election. Not necessarily about the Democrats win the next election but to make sure Trump doesn’t as he was the main threat to our democratic peaceful transition of power
I agree with so Trump doesn’t win another election, but the rest is bs
Dems are doing everything possible to destroy our democratic institutions
Biden was praising his throw trillions at our economy, it changed a lot of lives he said, what he didn’t say was how many it’s hurt or that it’s the root cause of inflation
Biden has little to do with Jan 6 Commission. His policies are what they are and unless something changes he is unlikely to win another election. But the events of Jan 6 was a coup attempt by Donald Trump. This is not about Trumps policies vs Biden’s it’s about preserving the peaceful transition of power which is at the core of our constitution
Don’t you think the Russia hoaks, with Hilllary creating the fake evidence or the cheating in the last election destroying our democracy?
No? How about Obama weaponizing the IRS by going after conservatives? Or the spying on the Trump campaign?
Fake news media came out this week with stories of Watergate turns 50, well what they’ve done in the last 10 makes Watergate look like a kindergarten excercise
Do you think Liz Cheney really likes Joe Biden’s policies? LOL. You are deflectin and citing stories that have been debunked except by far right extreme news websites
Jan 6th has been debunked, it’s just a deflection of the horrible job the left has done running the country at every level before the midterms
At school level they’re trying to indoctrinate our children, at the city level they tried to defend the police, at the state level they’ve ruined election integrity, and at the national level they’ve fucked everything from personal safety to border issues to the economy to everything else
Do you think Liz Cheney really likes Joe Biden’s policies?
No, neither does anyone else, but for some reason half the country will still vote for these idiots
sooo how about those Dolphins huh?
I hear they had a remarkable offseason
Good to hear he is almost back to 100% I am really looking forward to seeing these new guys in the new system. I hope we hit the ground running. (pun intended)
OK
Some info on important dates
Gesicki is on the franchise tag so there’s a date for that, but what dates is he talking about for the other 3?
I assume this from the article
“Monday, May 1 — Deadline for Clubs to exercise Fifth-Year Option for players selected in the first round of the 2020 Draft. For the Dolphins, that would include QB Tua Tagovailoa, G/T Austin Jackson and CB Noah Igbinoghene.”
That should be it

oooof! highest paid safety of all time!
That is a nifty stat. It doesn’t really mean anything until he does it here, but nice to read all the same.
If he can’t keep it up for us, it’ll mean either his injury is hampering him or we aren’t who we thought were on O
Try #2
What does that mean? He is quitting to become a preacher? What does “Further advancement of the Gospel” mean?
No whammy no whammy no whammy!
Another off-season day passing without the report of a Dolphins player arrest. Keep it going guys!
This is the worst part of the season.

The Mike McDaniel effect is bringing a level of new swagger and confidence never seen before. Here are 5 bold predictions for the Miami Dolphins in the 2022 season.
https://phinphanatic.com/2022/06/03/3-bold-predictions-miami-dolphins-2022-season/
Yeah that was weird. Also only one of the two predictions is a bold prediction which I don’t think will happen. IE Tyreek Hill being better with the dolphins than he was with Kansas City. The other two are mostly assumed by everyone except willfully ignorant haters.

What’s interesting to me is that we went for the 5’10”, 205, 30-year-old, on his 6th team in 8 years, ZBS savvy Mostert (5.7 career YPC).
VS
The 5’11”, 220, 26-year-old, on the same team for the 5th straight season, ZBS savvy Rashaad Penny (5.6 career YPC).
Both have great hands, both can block, and both have injury histories… but Mostert is on a 1-year deal for $2.15M while Penny is on a 1-year deal for $5.75M.
Maybe it’s just me, but I wanted a young yet experienced POWER BACK in our RB stable like Penny. It’s all good though: I’m a fan of Mostert’s game with his SPEED.
Sufficed to say, it was Rashaad Penny with 5.6 YPC and over 200 carries who is #2 to only Raheem Mostert’s 5.7 YPC and over 200 carries.
Over the last 50 years!

Yeah…always wondered about that concept and seemed no one else considered it…odd
Lots o talk about what Tyreek said about Tua
Again, if they’re talking about this, then Tua is in the conversation, doesn’t matter who is more accurrate
Lol…I’m done talking about it…can’t wait for it to start…
OD…let’s go…Lightning
This…
No one wants to bring up LIV
That was unfinished….
President/CEO Greg Norman, I believe Australian, got in bed with an “investment fund” supported entirely by the Kingdom of MBS. I believe Mickelson was paid up to $200M, Dustin Johnson $100M+, just to show up.
7 more “games” to go…lol.
PGA has kicked them out.
I have my opinions…lol.
Anyone have issues with “sportswashing”?
Hitler did it…
Like the 3 Fins getting 1m to join WFL, you gotta take the money

M – I thought Penny wanted to stay in Seattle. You make it seem like the Dolphins chose. Penny made his choice
M13, McDaniel has a history with Mostert, you know has that goes.
CAN”T GET TONIGHT’s opening game of the Stanley Cup Finals!!!
A HUGE THUNDERSTORM knocked-out DIRECTV in the Tampa Bay region—no reception at all!!
———-
Just heard a sound coming from the TV room. HOORAY, the storm’s abated and the picture is up!!
Looks like Bolts trail 2-1!!! THIS GAME is FAR from over!–Can’t wait to see highlights.
———-
YOU puckheads have a great evening!
Then you get a 2 man advantage on 2 bad calls for tripping
How can you trip someone with your stick above their knees?
MacKinnon dove, that for sure was not a penalty
Pretty cool pitching feat for the Astros, Wyo. First time a team had two immaculate innings in one game (3 strike outs on 9 pitches).
And just like that all tied up 👍👍
Mostert has pretty low mileage for a 30 yo RB 284 Carries.. that’s a year for some …
He’s had a very long road in his NFL career. Mostly played STs.
Late bloomer system back 👍👍
Yeah and our backfield will likely be by committee and ride the hot hand week to week.
Well set up to do so yep.. nice to have depth on O for a change
Agreed. There’s some nice competition and more speed.
Will be cutting some good players again this year
YOU’RE RIGHT, MANITOBA!! — The Lightning scored TWO GOALS in about 40 seconds and now, at the end of the 2nd Period, it’s all tied up 3-3!!
————–
A FEW OF US BOLTS’ FANS at the office looked at the odds for tonight’s opening game. ONE option caught my eye. The Avs were (ARE) favored by 1 and 1/2 goals tonight. “THAT’s FOR ME” I said. “Colorado might beat the Lightning by 2 or more goals, but I think these odds definitely favor Tampa Bay.” –SO HERE WE ARE, one period left in regulation. And Tampa Bay has tied the game. “UNCLE MO” (MO Mentum) is in the Bolts’ favor. And Nikita Kucherov is hotter than a firecracker right now. Don’t be surprised if HIS LINE peoduces the WINNING GOAL!
“PRODUCES” THE WINNING GOAL.
I’m calling Point for the winner 👍
Toba, cutting players is going to be another first time thing for McDaniel as a HC. He bonds with guys and then has to tell them it wasn’t enough. I’d hate that part of the job.
Yeah that would suck .. especially players that followed him over that are on the bubble at best , like Cracraft and Sherfield .. decent players , ( I am forced to watch a lot of Niner games ) 🥴but as ya said lotta competition..
STs is going to play a big role on the back end depth charts. Someone has to do it and sometimes that decides a young buck over a vet positional player.
I’m hoping someone steps up in the return game, as I like having Hill’s skill back there , but prefer we don’t NEED him every kick
And for Gods sake no Preston Williams on KR/PR.. I cringed every time he was back there LOL
Unless someone really steps up as a PR, we might see a mix of Holland, Waddle and Hill. KR is not as important, most kickoffs are touchbacks these days.
COMING UP ON 4 MINUTES LEFT IN THIS GAME. You can feel the tension in every rush and every SAVE!!
Oy big mistake by a Maroon lol
Great bock by Sergachev to send to OT
STILL ABOUT 30 seconds left on Maroon’s delay of game penalty for accidentally shooting the puck into the stands. It would be a shame if this great contest was decided by this penalty.
——————–
A FEW OBSERVATIONS:
1) Lightning had the edge in 3rd period UNTIL Maroon’s goof.
2) After a shaky 1st period, Vasilevskiy’s been PERFECT the last two periods.
3) AS MANITOBA noted, Brayden Point’s come to life the last half of this contest.
4) I STILL BELIEVE Kucherov’s line will produce the winning goal.
By The Way; I’m only good for ONE OVERTIME TONIGHT. This old fart needs his beauty rest!!
Shit… go to bed OD , you can use a lotta beauty sleep🤡
THANKS, ‘Toba!! Well, at least I was right about one thing. Taking the Lightning and 1 and 1/2 goals was a winner!! Y’all have a terrific day tomorrow!
Ken – My honest answer is to expose Trump, while in general also trying to make the GOP look bad, but I believe he absolutely holds some guilt in what happened. He clearly never accepted the result of the election, and if this serves to eliminate Trump from the next election, the GOP should be happy that happens. I know I will be.
Mike there is still a large segment of the population that believe that the election was stolen regardless of lack of evidence. (oh, they will point to “reports” of evidence but not the actual evidence) there are actual living people who believe that he was the best POTUS in the history of the US……
He is still playing king maker with his endorsements. He is a cancer and is not going away.
I know this, I have friends that still think he’s the best candidate. I don’t see it that way. I don’t think he has a chance to ever be elected again
Ok right no evidence, but Jan 6th had evidence, gaslight lately
Steve you live by Gaslight. Do you even have electricity in your home?
Typical deflection
You must be saying what I’ve seen in videos is just made up I guess and I really didn’t see it
Oh wait someone like Barr said it didn’t exist, therefore word
Even CNN knows they need to tell the truth once in a while
If we used all the gas light, from the past 6 years we wouldn’t have energy concerns
If we used all the gas light, from the past 6 years we wouldn’t have any energy concerns
I am willing to bet that they try out Igbo at Punt or KO returns this year.
On Tuesday, NFL analyst Rich Eisen posed a fair question about these comments on “The Rich Eisen Show.”
“If he feels that way about [Patrick] Mahomes and [Andy] Reid, how’s he gonna feel about this new situation, when it doesn’t, invariably, go very well,” Eisen asked. “When Belichick might pull his Jedi mind tricks, his dark-side mind tricks on Tua [Tagovailoa]. And, he’s been paid now.”
Well Rich, If Belicheat were going to play some jedi mind tricks don’t you think he would have by now? Tua is UNDEFEATED against Belicheat teams. GO DOLPHINS!
What ifs….lol…drama where none exists…oh my
Krishna, they have to generate clicks man! The Palm Beach Post is running a daily series up until training camp where they spotlight the 25 best players on the roster in their opinion. One per day for the 25 days running up to camp. The title of the series is “Miami Dolphins Top 25 players summer countdown includes Tua Tagovailoa”
Well no shit, I hope he is one of the 25 best players on the roster!
I would certainly hope so as well. He better be top 15 at QB or better in the NFL as well, hopefully top 10
I know, but get a little creative vs what if’s…..lol
The daily series you mentioned seems 10x more interesting….who was 25?
I don’t know LOL. It is behind a paywall.
Hill, X, Armstead, Wilkins, Tua? Top 5 in no particular order….
The first 3 for sure
Just an opinion of course, but I’d put in the mix Byron Jones, Baker, Waddle, Phillips, and Holland
Gesicki may be in there as well
I thought about all of those…Waddle, Philips and Holland are rookier than Tua….lol.
Byron Jones and Baker are right there, too.
I think these are our top 10…
Gesicki….too…lol, but that makes 11
I had to go to Joe Shad’s Twitter page, but here is who they list so far.
25 – Jason Sanders
24 – Nik Needham
23 – Cedrick Wilson
22 – Raheem Mostert
21 – Brandon Jones
Pretty good list to have at the bottom
I think Brandon Jones is our most underrated player, his blitzing, overall awareness, and effort are top notch, if he was drafted in the 2nd round he’d get more notoriety
When Wilkins is running around celebrating or interrupting a teammate from making a play, Jones is running 40 yards to throw the key block to get someone in the EZ
20 more days to go….lol
Some want a bell cow RB, I like what we have better
We could have RW, but we might burn him out, you can’t burn out 3 quality backs, that share the load
I like what we have also. You can keep hitting them with fresh legs all game.
Brandon Jones was from UT and was one of the only “stars” of their defense….he’s been coming along nicely to take that next step.

—————–
As a big fan of Rashaad Penny, I was just very excited to learn that he was #2 in YPC to only Mostert under the parameters given. Plus, he’s a powerback who could help us out in given situations. I would not want to use him as a bell-cow RB given his injury history.
Yes, Mike E, Penny wanted to stay in Seattle and Seattle wanted him to stay, hence the $5.75M one-year contract he received. That doesn’t mean I didn’t want him in Miami, though! LOL 🙂
Yes, Tim, McDaniel has a history with Mostert, and likely why it was a no-brainer for both sides to make him a Phin… and I’m very happy we have him.
Steve
On January 6, a very large bunch of thugs over ran security, killed a few brave policemen, invaded one of the 4 most important government buildings in the US, ransacked it, searched for elected officials while shouting violent threats, chanting that they wanted to hang the VP, and attempted to disrupt a Congress in session. A plan was found which detailed the attack before it happened.
These are obvious facts.
This is serious.
Don’t you want to know who they were and who sent them?
It’s just a conspiracy, they were peaceful protestors
I’d hardly call them thugs as a group, but yes, there were some thugs paid to be in the group
No policemen or security guards were killed, but a security guard did kill a peaceful protestor
A few loose canons made their way around the grounds, but ransacked?
SM showed this was planned, which proves it wasn’t provoked by Trump
We get a little peaved at fake moral outrage, when something like this goes down and they want to throw the kitchen sink at those, that barely did anything, then let criminals out of jail, and let protestors from the other side burn, loot, and destroy public buildings and private business
Nope, no ransacking here.
On Zach Thomas…
That guy in the 49ers jersey on the far right? That’s Raheem Mostert…
In the words of Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine…
UNLIMITED SPEEEEEED!!!
Why is 4.39 Jonathan Taylor in that picture?
According to advanced stats/metrics, Taylor hit close to 22 MPH on a run last season. That’s the only reason I can think of.
I don’t think of Taylor as a speedster, either.
Good point, football speed and underwear 40 times aren’t the same
When running a 40, if you aren’t quick off the block it effects your time, in football rarely do you run full speed at the start of a play, maybe kickoffs and that’s it
Speed isn’t just 40 time, top end speed is more breakaway relevance
Agreed, Steve.
It was not a peaceful protest (1/6), but so many of the so called BLM protests with cities burning in the background were called peaceful protests by the media. Can’t stop the spin machine
I was using the left’s definition and our 2 tiered justice system
What do you see as “our 2 tiered justice system”? That phrase normally applies to minorities being more harshly treated than whites and the poor worse than the rich.
From what I saw on TV and in the one in our area — the George Floyd protests started peacefully but then once it got dark all hell broke loose. I think the dudes looking to break a store window and grab some stuff saw a great opportunity. Our cops battled down the one in downtown pretty well.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-nflpa-plans-to-defend-deshaun-watson-from-suspension-by-targeting-nfl-owners/ar-AAYy1oD
“The source explains that the NFLPA would defend Watson in part by making an aggressive argument premised on the consequences, or lack thereof, imposed on a trio of owners who recently have found themselves embroiled in off-field controversy. The argument will be that the punishment of Watson is not proportional to the punishment of those owners, especially in light of this key line from the Personal Conduct Policy: ‘Ownership and club or league management have traditionally been held to a higher standard and will be subject to more significant discipline when violations of the Personal Conduct Policy occur.'”
This is a much better argument than Watson claiming defamation.
Indeed it is. And no doubt Kraft was doing the exact same.
The 3 owners would be Kraft for his solicitation charges, Jones for paying off some cheerleaders after the team exec was caught filming them in the locker room, and Snyder for shitload of stuff, lol.
Let’s let a women decide what Watson’s penalty should be
“Like the Eagles, the Dolphins’ perceived low ceiling is due to questions about their former Crimson Tide standout under center. Tua Tagovailoa’s limitations as a passer were magnified in 2021 with just one consistent space creator at wide receiver. His 10 big-time throws fell far short of his 22 turnover-worthy plays, and he finished a second consecutive NFL season with a higher turnover-worthy rate (4.8%) than big-time throw rate (2.4%). Any chance of this team becoming a Super Bowl contender is dependent on whether Tua takes that next step.”
— Pro Football Focus’ Kambui Bomani
Yeah….that “big-time throw” rate……
I was going to say “you just can’t make this shit up” but then I guess you can….
Have no idea what the metrics are for a “big time throw” but guessing like in a lot of such measures Tua takes a hit for not going long much.
yup that was on big-time throw there….yup.
“In case you forgot the sham #January6thcommitteehearings are purely for TV ratings. Pelosi let The Communist News Network build a full TV set where Abraham Lincoln’s desk once stood.”
— Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) not getting that Statuary Hall (where Lincoln’s desk is rumored to have been) was the CGI back drop on a CNN broadcast.
Guys, I don’t want to talk about politics, though you’re all free to do so as always. Just wanted to mention that the obvious lies and leftist talking points annoy me regarding 1/6/20. That was NOT an insurrection, for crying out loud. The only person who was shot (and she DIED, via the Capital Police) was Ashli Babbit.
None of the so-called ‘insurrectionists’ carried weapons: FACT. The Capital Police allowed (and welcomed) the peaceful protesters into the Capital: FACT. Pelosi denied President Trump’s request for the National Guard to protect the Capital: FACT.
Move along, people… move along. The charade is already made, and it’s merely bad comedy at this point.
Let’s talk some football.
Definition of insurrection — “a violent uprising against an authority or government.” Call it a less than full blown out one, but seems to fit. As would the word do so for the George Floyd riots. Just talking English.
LOL “Talking English”
It is by definition accurate. Though there were a bunch of dumbasses who were just sight seeing and being cool to their peers. Trespassing is still trespassing, vandalism is still vandalism.Assault on a police officer is assault on a police officer. It is not peaceful protesting.
And before the deflecting whatabouters try to deflect again, the riots I SAID RIOTS, that started as protests were not ok and the criminals in the crowds who burned and stole or destroyed property should be tracked down, prosecuted and punished in accordance to the severity of their crime.
The reason this is a false equivalency is on threatened Jim’s Ford dealership in Waukesha and the other the peaceful transition of power in the greatest country in the world for the first time in history. It wasn’t a coincidence that it happened during the deliberations. It was specifically coordinated to stop the certification. Ie the purpose was to overthrow the legally elected government. That is by definition sedition and insurrection. Just by definition though… bllep bloop sniickler psoaken or you can just make up your own language.
Lol…nice Rock
You crack me up with your doublespeak….lmfao!

————–
If one can demonstrate “violent” — in regard to 1/6/20 — I’d like to hear it.
Now tell me about Ray Epps, while you’re at it.
The American people aren’t stupid, Stanger.
Watch the videos. Or do you define violence by the number of dead?
I define violence by the summer of ’20… so should all of us, if everything is equal.
That’s what I was thinking and going to make some smart ass comment to that point…and people say I don’t have filters…lol!
By the way, nice try to deflect from Ray Epps! LOL
I lost the Ray Epps reference, sorry I’m stupid….seems off topic to me…lol
So, you didn’t see the battering ram, the crushed security, the gallows, the trashing of chamber, the effort to break in? All staged?
And don’t acknowledge PTSD as a health care issue? ok…
Those that feared for their life were just being silly….that’s fucking amazing to me..lol
Everyone was in there happy place…lol

mf13ss…who are top 5-10 players on the roster? No order is needed, but if you want to group top 5 and next 5….
—————-
I’ll go top-5 on Offense, Bro… in no particular order
Tua, (a healthy) Armstead, ‘Reek the Cheetah, Waddle, and whoever else can keep Tua clean on our O-Line.
Top-5 on Defense? Again, in no particular order…
I’ll go with X, Wilkins, Byron, Seiler, and Holland.
Well, you cheated on O….lol…but I like it
Krishna,
I’m a homer deep at heart, but I feel our roster is GREAT!
killed a few brave policemen
—————–
This just shows how much false info is out there. There were no police killed at 1/6.
That was senseless…lol
…were you reading someone’s blog? Oh my….
Posting false information is also senseless…lol
I apologize. If you don’t count these, then you are correct. No officers died on 1/6.
… …
In the days and weeks after the riot, five police officers who had served at the Capitol on Jan. 6 died.
Officer Brian D. Sicknick of the Capitol Police, who was attacked by the mob, died on Jan. 7.
Officer Jeffrey Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department killed himself after the attack.
Officer Howard S. Liebengood of the Capitol Police also died by suicide four days afterward.
The Capitol Police had previously said that Officer Sicknick died from injuries sustained “while physically engaging with protesters.” The Washington medical examiner later ruled that he had died of natural causes: multiple strokes that occurred hours after Officer Sicknick’s confrontation with the mob. The medical examiner added, however, that “all that transpired played a role in his condition.”
A bipartisan Senate report, released in June, found that the deaths were connected to the Capitol attack. But the report was issued a month before two Metropolitan Police officers — Gunther Hashida and Kyle DeFreytag — died by suicide in July.

I think our roster has potential to be GREAT. Show me!
A NICE PERSON up the page suggests “I think Grier deserves some credit…”
Well, let’s see. Grier has been here (in different capacities) for nearly all
of the Ross Regime years. That includes an overall losing record. And
it also includes two playoff blowout losses and nothing approaching a
PLAYOFF VICTORY. Our favorite NFL franchise has NOT won a playoff
game THIS CENTURY!!!
——————
SO I say SHOW ME more than just a sniff of success and I’ll join you
in the applause.
—————–
SHOW ME!!
I just said the same fucking thing while you were typing…LOL….SHOW ME!
We’re on the same page OD!
COINCIDENCE? Or, sometimes, do great minds sometimes think alike?? Since I’m NOT a great mind, I can not answer that question. But I’ll go to my grave believing that Steve Ross will NEVER COME CLOSE to winning a Super Bowl as owner of this franchise!
Well, I’m not a great mind either…but I hope you’re wrong about Ross or he sells in the next year or so and we get and win a Super Bowl within 5 years. Like you, I’m getting too old for this shit, but would like to see it again…we both saw the glory days.

Sorry I don’t subscribe to far right conspiracy theories found only on ultra right websites on the dark web
Urlacher speaking out about Zach might be the best thing to happen to his chances because with Urlacher being in there is no justification for Zach not being in.
^
And that’s why I posted it!
Sad thing is, they shouldn’t have to.
Yeah but the panel are being stuck up assholes because Urlacher sold more football cards
It think most of the panel is from the left and they hate Florida and DeSantis. That’s all I got. lol
Is there a deeper reason certain 1/6er’s have not had a trial yet and not being given a fair bond or no bond at all? This was almost 1.5 years ago. Are they afraid of something coming out in a trial?
This whole bias 1/6 hearing is a shame from the time Pelosi banned Jim Jordan and Jim Banks from the committee. The dems have nothing else to go on with midterms coming. This is it. Anti-Trumper Liz Cheney has been ousted by a majority of the GOP and has no chance at re-election, so she is going to try to take Trump down with her. This is her last claim to fame so to speak. There is also blatant proof they have altered evidence. It’s the same Schiff shit that happened during the BS impeachment trials.
Congress = Kangaroo Court
^
The idea that 1/6 protesters are being held illegally is inaccurate. All of them have been charged. They have all had bond hearings and while some may believe their bonds are unfair but the fact is that they have all been subject to judicial review. In terms of trial times the court system has been devastated by Covid. Trials of all kinds across the nation are significantly backlogged. If these pretrial prisoners believe they are being unfairly treated they do have judicial remedies they could seek such as a writ of habeas corpus, a speedy trial motion or motion for bond reduction. I am not buying the spin that they are being held unlawfully
To the “Show Me” folks take comfort in knowing that Mr Cheetah Hill hasn’t been in an NFL season that he’s failed to make the playoffs.
Let your hair down and sip a little Koolaide and enjoy the show. 🐬🐆🐧❌☃️💪
That’s a cool way of putting it.

Hulkster,
So you are willingly burying your head in the sand? I’ve WATCHED all the videos… seems you haven’t. Ray Epps is on many videos telling everybody to storm the Capitol Building.
You’re a smart man, Ken… so don’t play pretend regarding Ray Epps, man.
^
I am not the one burying my head in the sand. There are plenty of reasons to not like the democrats and Biden is unlikely to win the next election in any event but none of that changes the fact that Trump attempted a coup to overturn the results of a lawful election
It’s NOT about Trump! And no, Trump did not attempt a coup. He left the Oval Office on time, ensuring the peaceful transfer of power.
If one has a problem with that, let me take ya back to ’16… ensuring the peaceful transfer of power from Obama to Trump.
Can anybody say “wire-tapped”?
If that is what you believe than you are the reason why we have the 1/6 commission
Oh yeah? Then why didn’t we have a 1/6/16 commission?
Because there was no attempted coup. I mean c’mon man. Say what you will about Hillary she conceded the election the next day and honored the electoral college. I mean really?
Rock – I think you can give me a little more credit rather than just classifying what I said as a whatabout. I think I’m being as honest as anyone can be in what I’m saying, and not every comparison is a fucking whatabout. Often when making a point one will make a comparison. My bigger point is perception, particularly what the MSM chooses to portray. I don’t give a flying fuck which BLM protests were peaceful and which ones weren’t, my point was the media would show a reporter standing in front of smoldering ruin and tell the American people the protests were peaceful. I think whatabout has become a crutch, lose it please. Thanks, your pal, Mike
^
Ken – the Democrats did nothing of the sort in 2016. They claimed Russian interference with the election, Hillary Clinton included. Then they spent the next 4 years trying to impeach him. They tried every underhanded way to get Trump out of office, with the assistance of the MSM who was more than compliant to help in that cause.
Hillary conceded the day after the election. There was no attempt to prevent the confirmation of the electors. It was a peaceful transfer of power. Obama hosted Trump in the Whitehouse and worked with transition team. Did they bitch about the election and Russian interference? Of course they did but they made no effort to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power and in fact worked with the Trump transition team to insure it

—————
LMAO!!!
Do you TRULY believe that?!! To this very day, Hillary STILL believes she won the
’16 election! It was “Russian interference” that kept her from winning… 😆
The whole coup started in ’16, and didn’t stop until Trump peacefully left the Oval Office in ’21.
It is fact she conceded the election the following day. What ever she may believe she honored the election. Your lack of acknowledgment of this very simple basic fact is surprising
See Al Gore, for example.
A legal challenge? That is the same as a coup? You are reaching
Ken – I don’t see a big difference in what happened with Trump/Clinton and Trump/Biden. Both sides tried to discredit the victory and create a bullshit reason for losing. Now of course some Trump supporters were more demonstrative than their Democratic counterparts, but basically the same shit.
Hillary conceded while ranting and raving about Russia and Trump stealing the election. That’s how I recall it.
Rhetoric is far different than violent insurrection.
Ken, you don’t even know what you’re talking about. I say that to you, with respect to you. Did ya even know that Chief Justice Roberts was an advisor to Jeb Bush’s campaign?
You are going down a rabbit hole
Yet, Hillary Clinton (Dems) didn’t orchestrate an entire summer of killing, arson, and riots, right? It just HAPPENED… and over politics, right? LOL
You are not a FOOL, Ken! Surely, you’ve seen what’s occurred.
Ken – violent insurrection is way overblown. Sorry, it wasn’t a peaceful protest but it wasn’t 1000 armed people killing everyone in sight. It was a few crazy fuckers who went to far, and as far as I know, no direct link to Trump or no evidence that Trump ordered it. I wouldn’t put it past Trump because I think he’s capable of it, but I think we all need to stop the “Stormed the Capitol” angle. No army did any such thing, just like like every Democrat didn’t cry for hours and threaten to leave the country like some dingbat Democrats did.
I don’t know if watched the videos at the hearings but that was a very violent mob. I think it is very unfair and a huge disservice to the Capital Police to say it wasn’t a violent insurrection and or downplay the level of violence they were subjected to
Was it organized, or did things just get out of hand? That’s what I’m talking about. It was like a few people just lost their shit and went too far. If you think this was an army that Trump sent to take the Capitol so not to allow the transfer of power, not sure we should discuss this because you probably still think Trump stole 2016 via Russia
Based on the evidence being put forward at the hearings it appears to have been very organized. Planning meetings, staging points, people in tactical gear and much more
Oh and while I believe Russia had interfered with the last 2 elections I also believe their interference didn’t impact the results. The Democrats lost in 2016 because they ran an unlikeable candidate
Ken – the stop the steal rally was organized. Beyond that, I’m going to have a hard time believing anything the MSM says because they say what they want to say all the time. I trust them as much as I trust Hillary or Trump, or Biden or the cackling hyena for that matter
There is a lot of evidence to say it was organized. It is in the hearings. It’s not MSM which I don’t have a major axe to grind with. I rely on multiple sources and networks and the information appears to be valid. That is my take on things
Less than 46 hours to go until the puck drops on Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Neither of these two teams have to “SHOW ME!” They’re both top quality organizations loaded with probable Hall-of-Famers both on the ice and in the Front Office.

Y’all have a terrific evening and a better tomorrow!
Well I went down the political rabbit hole tonight. My bad. I am out. Peace
I just want to tell you both, good luck. We’re all counting on you.
If our government wasn’t so big and corrupt, they wouldn’t have to indict themselves over and over. We the people spend all our time evaluating them.
Until this political crap is done with, I’m staying inside my warm house because it’s too wet and cold outside. I’ll wall until the players come back from holidays. Reading Karen stories is a good pastime.
I always forget it’s the opposite season for you down there. Winter just started for you huh?
JAHNDOH; Congrats on your Golden State Warriors winning the NBA Championship!!
Ken is steady drinking that 1/6 Koolaid.
So who’s #20 ranked on team? Lol…
“I think whatabout has become a crutch, lose it please. Thanks, your pal, Mike”
It absolutely is a crutch. A crutch for weak minds. I personally NEVER use it so, I don’t have to lose it. It is constantly used today to defend the indefensible. BOTH SIDES CAN BE AND OFTEN ARE WRONG!
I usually shut that shit right down by saying “Yes that is wrong too, now please can we get back to the subject at hand?”
My post wasn’t directed at you BTW. I didn’t see you deflecting with whataboutisms on anything.
You also never saw or heard me defending the pieces of shit that used the cover of protests to loot and burn, not once, ever. I never defended the rioters or excused their actions. Wrong is wrong Party affiliation doesn’t matter.
Learned in pre-fucking-school “two wrongs don’t make a right”
Oh, and Mike

Please take the time to read the official report by the Senate intelligence committee that was bi-partisan and lead by republican. The finding are the OPOSITE of what trumps handlers said in public.
Wow…anyone into CWS? There are 4 SEC teams, 2 Big 12 teams going to SEC, 1 Pac 10, and ND…..not sure if ND is independent or in conference in baseball.
That’s a stacked SEC CWS! …and they may all lose…lol
Wow, didn’t realize that either. I’m a ND fan and don’t even know. They are still independent in football but ACC in basketball. Maybe ACC in everything but Football. Not sure though.
Ken, I never said the protesters were being held illegally or unlawfully.
To say they are being held without a speedy trial or an unfair bond is the same as saying that they are being held unlawfully
OK Rock – Big hug for ya! I thought your post that stated the whatabouts was directed towards me. Sorry pal
No issues my friend and I appreciate the apology, but it was not necessary. I don’t much get up in my feelings.
Ken – One of the most egregious uses of media bias in my recollection was the town hall meeting interviews in the last election. To me that was a huge deal. There was such clear bias, the absolute hatred and disdain of the person feeding the questions to Trump as compared to the smiley, softball lobs given to Biden was astounding. The media should have no sway in determining an election but they absolutely tried their hardest. Savannah Guthrie was practically foaming at the mouth, sneering often. I forget who did Biden’s interview but she was all smiley and respectful while spoon feeding him baby questions and sometimes even prompting him with help to answer. BTW, I don’t blame you for not having an axe to grind, the media is on your side!!! LOL
I love how YOU can determine which side Ken is on……
I mean on any given subject based upon YOUR assumption of where he will align politically.
Rock – Can you elaborate? He said he doesn’t have an axe to grind with the media. Is that not clear enough for you that he feels the media is unbiased? I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be unclear on or where I’m guessing
Oh, and I’ll elaborate – We can BOTH (Ken and I) could probably make assumptions on where we would stand on certain political topics and I’d bet with at least 80-90% accuracy, both of us would be right.
I wouldn’t say the media is absent of bias but what ever bias is easy enough to discern and the information is easily gleaned from what they are reporting especially when you use multiple sources which I do
Lol
Yet you align with every conspiracy theory they come up with and deny everything the left does from Hilllary to Hunter
LOL
There’s a theory out there that lawyers align with the left to keep their moral equilibrium in check
I don’t think you’re that kind of lawyer, that needs that, but I can’t figure out how so many smart people follow such stupid and illogical people…unless of course they’re looking for and/or getting some benefit financially
https://www.mlb.com/news/switch-pitcher-jurrangelo-cijntje-impresses-at-draft-combine?t=mlb-draft-coverage
Wow, throws 92 with his left and 96 with his right. MLB had one switch pitcher before but that guy only played 5 years and his fastest pitch was in the mid 80s.
That’s outrageous!!! I look ridiculous when I try to throw lefty, it’s amazing that he’s able to do that. Another thought just came to mind, if he blows his elbow on one arm, is he done, or can he still pitch with his other arm? It would be like having insurance
I’m pretty good throwing with both arms. My right I can throw mid 80s and with my left I can usually throw in the direction I’m aiming.
That’s a good question. I wonder if the whipping motion of the body would hinder the healing process or if he really could pitch with the other arm.
All that practice flinging your poop
lol, practice makes perfect
