While the running back situation is far from settled as to which RB’s will be getting lots of playing time, touches or carries, the wide receiver situation is quite clear, especially when it comes to the top 3. Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Cedrick Wilson are the top dogs. It’s definitely muddy after that and potentially even more muddy after the Dolphins just signed veteran WR Mohamed Sanu. If I’m going to be honest, I don’t think Sanu makes the 53. We have too much young talent here to displaced by a 33 year old WR. By talent alone, Preston Williams is making this roster, but his health and his body have let him down and he hasn’t been able to stay on the field. Lynn Bowden Jr. offers versatility and may most closely resemble Deebo Samuel in as much as he can carry the ball out of the backfield and play WR as well. Bowden Jr. himself though has had trouble securing a spot on the roster and staying healthy. We drafted WR Erik Ezukanma in RD 4 and I’d expect him to make the roster. Then there are wild cards like Trent Sherfield who at 6’1 219 brings a big, physical presence at WR, and also history playing for the Niners in a similar offense. There’s also speedy WR River Cracraft who also played for the Niners.
Even though he’s classified as a TE, you could easily count TE Mike Gesicki as a WR as he is so often positioned in the slot. That may change though as McD attempts to make Gesicki a more well rounded TE like his former TE George Kittle, one of the leagues best all around TE. Kittle is a great receiver with uncanny run after the catch abilities, but no TE puts forth more effort blocking in the run and passing game as Kittle does. If Gesicki can become half the blocker Kittle is he will be so much better and our team will as well. The numbers at WR will also be affected by how many RB’s we carry, considering we know we will have a FB on our roster. It’s possible we only carry 5 WR’s and if that’s the case, I’d expect it to be Hill, Waddle, Wilson, Williams and Ezukanma. If it’s 6 WR’s, then one of those wild cards, or perhaps the veteran Sanu gets the nod, but to me that’s a long shot.
We haven’t had this much talent at the WR position since we had the Marks Brothers, Duper and Clayton. This truly is the closest as far as speed and talent to that duo. Cedrick Wilson could be our Nat Moore completing the trio. Our talent stretches even further though will potential guys like Williams and Bowden Jr. If Williams can stay healthy, much like his former counterpart DeVante Parker, he can be that big WR that wins those contested 50/50 throws. I think Tua is excellent at placing that ball to make those plays work.
I definitely consider the WR position one of our biggest strengths of the team, along with the defense. While our defense isn’t a star studded affair, it’s very solid and there a few young players on the cusp of stardom. In contrast, the WR corps has the stars right now, as Tyreek Hill is a top 3 WR on most lists and Jaylen Waddle, who is just going into year 2 would probably make top 10 on most lists. Cedrick Wilson may really feast this year if/when opposing defense give extra attention to Hill and Waddle. Like Tim often says, and of course this all dependent upon our O-line being competent, our offense will be difficult to defend. If the running game is working and we’re getting push up front, how do they possibly defend our passing game as long as Tua stays upright with enough time to throw? Pick your poison. This WR unit and our defense are the things that have me most excited. Hill, Waddle, Holland, Phillips, Jones, Baker, Wilkins, Ogbah and many more on that defense. If this WR unit plays as well as we hope, we won’t be worrying about who’s getting the carries in the run game.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

That’s just F’n cold!
Funny but cold
–On a number of occasions during the 2019 season, Mr. Ross expressed his belief that the Dolphins position in the upcoming 2020 draft should take priority over the team’s win-loss record. These comments were made most frequently to Team President and CEO Tom Garfunkel, but were also made to General Manager Chris Grier, Senior Vice President Brandon Shore and Coach Flores. These comments, which he took to be suggestions that he lose games, troubled Coach F^ckwit and led him to express concerns in writing to senior club executives, each of whom assured Coach Flores that everyone, including Mr. Ross supported him in building a winning culture in Miami. After this, Mr. Ross no longer made any such comments to coach Flores.—
Again, this supports our position that Flores wasn’t fired for not tanking or for his race as the tanking was never brought up again after this period in 2019. He was fired two full seasons later when we were trying to steal Payton. I think the NFL set themselves up nicely to get around the Dolphins part of Flores’ lawsuit.
Ya, I got the feeling someone was jerking on my nose ring!
So the good news is the investigation showed Flores is a whiny-assed biotch. Losing that first succcccks though. Assume more details will come out, but Ross must have signed Brady up for the Sausage of the Month Club for the penalty to be that harsh.
Fuck!!!
Best news is we didn’t get Brady… that would have been a true test of my fandom
Other significance is all those who thought the Brady/Payton reports were just media hype were wrong. Ross was going after Tommy Boy 3 years before.
Time to fly a banner
https://archinect.imgix.net/uploads/16/169204e65ed10f389c97d4f6009943cb.jpg?
This is the way I see it. We got off pretty easy, this should be basically over for us now and we can move forward without all this stuff hanging over the team’s head. I know we still have the lawsuit, but IMO this basically gets us out of our part of it.
Our owner was shown to have tampered with not one team, but two. Our owner was shown to have talked inappropriately- quite a bit- about tanking, and our team has been accused of firing Coach F^ckwit for not tanking and for racist reasons.
All of that is now basically concluded, and we lose a 1st next year (we had two), and a 3rd in 2024. That’s it to clear this cloud from us? I’ll effing take it. It could have been a lot worse.
The extra 1st next year was going to be big to move up for a QB if necessary, but hey maybe despite all the BS, Tua will show himself to be a capable QB. If so, then we still have a 1st and I think we’re still in great position with the other extra picks we have next year. We’re really only down a 3rd in 2024. Grier will probably get that back with some nifty trades; it’s his strong suit.
This was sh^tty news, but frankly, I’m pretty optimistic about the direction of the team, I’m glad the worst of the crap appears to be over, and this should give Ross a wakeup call to step the eff back.
Cav — it’s not the end of the world, but losing a first round pick is pretty shitty no matter how you spin it. And I didn’t expect any major penalty from the Flores stuff…. otherwise he would have brought more out to the press and in his pleadings. This coming on tampering with Brady hit me like a S-load of bricks. Wasn’t even really on my radar.
It’s cool, we have different takes which is understandable. No doubt reactions will be across the spectrum.
I expected the tampering and tanking to be the more dangerous part to be honest. Racism? with a black GM and a couple of black HCs, nah, that never has worried me.
But tampering with two teams is pretty huge. I said on the other page, if I’m being honest and setting aside my fandom, if it was the Pets in these exact circumstances, I’d feel they got off easy and be pretty annoyed about it.
Owner in waiting ……….
“Dolphins’ Vice Chairman/Limited Partner Bruce Beal also was fined $500,000 and ordered not to attend any league meetings for the remainder of the 2022 season”.
Not exactly had a good mentor has he? Sooner Boss Ross steps aside and reverts back to Dross Ross the better now!
Don’t need a QB
There’s always this angle
With Brady, I guess no repercussions for the tampered with person? I get that if it had been one time, he has plausible deniability-he didn’t know. But apparently was back and forth-so for me, Brady was involved too.
Good point. Why does culpability only run one way?
I am stunned. I had no idea that anything like this was coming, even though I thought it was dangerous to hear so many reports of the FO meeting with Brady.
Anyone else doubt the ineptitude of our owner. Worst owner in professional sports
He’s still not the worst, but I wouldn’t doubt this get gets him to accellerate his transition plan.
He is a rube. Doesn’t know what the hell he is doing. Thinks that just by spending lots of money makes him entitled
Being worth $8 billion dollars sorta does make you entitled.
Not good in the world of the NFL
Flores still playing his little violin…
“Mr. Ross will avoid any meaningful consequence.”
“I am disappointed to learn that the investigator minimized Mr. Ross’s offers and and pressure to tank games especially when I wrote and submitted a letter at the time to Dolphins executives documenting my serious concerns regarding this subject at the time which the investigator has in her possession.”
If he was offered $100k to lose games…. that statement was the time to repeat it.
Who’s a b^tchy little guy? Gootchie goo goo.
I get why so many Phins fans don’t like Brian Flores. But seriously, he blew the whistle on a rogue owner who has a history of clownery.
As for the racism charges from Flores? That wasn’t exactly dismissed, even if nothing more came about it in today’s ruling: the NFL didn’t want to touch the subject of racism, clearly. And as for the recounting of Phins’ brass when Boss Ross offered Flores $Ms for every loss? It was claimed as a joke. What?
Ya know, instead of hating on Flores, y’all should be supporting him in trying to get rid of one of the most corrupt owners in NFL history. What’s more, Ross is a LOSER!
I think we as fans have the conception of over-penalization (vs the Watson case) because we were, in fact, penalized for the additional charges against Ross… even though it was ‘concluded’ that Ross didn’t offer $$$ for loses and a charge of racism.
REGARDLESS of how one feels about my opinion above, it should be concluded that ROSS NEEDS TO SELL!!! 😡
And Bruce Beal is NOT the answer!!! 😡
M13 — maybe you know a way for Ross to sell and Beal to back out of his option. I sure don’t.
I specifically said the racism claim is basically dismissed in regards to the Dolphins, not the entire claim.
I wasn’t targeting you, my good friend. I was just coming from a different angle… one who cannot tolerate Steve Ross.
And no way I’m supporting a guy who shouts racism in regards to us when was part of the only black GM/HC duo in the league, then adds the Texans to his claim because they didn’t give him the HC job after he filed his lawsuit. That screams entitlement to me.
He felt he was owed that Texans job IMO. And he knew what was going down with our team and why he was fired, he brought it to light, then goes and cries of racism?
If he’d left it at the Giants and Broncos, I’d probably support him even with the shitstorm he brought on us in regards to tanking and tampering, but he went full blown agenda instead- fuck that guy.
Cool, I know you’ve been railing against Ross for awhile. I get that angle.
Ross and Flores are both pieces of 💩 just different kinds of 💩
Flores’ claims of racism is absurd.
At face value, I concur. However, it’s all contingent upon how one looks at it. For instance, if the black coach was offered $$$ to tank games as alleged, it looks bad for the future of black coaching.
Do ya understand now?
Ummm no
Steve Ross is the joke that writes itself. I’m so bloody of our beloved franchise being the punchline for so many jokes.

I wish I had an answer, man. Clearly, I do not.
Perhaps if we ALL put our $$$ together, we might be able to purchase a minority stake in the team? That’s all I’ve got!
Actually probably not

Thank ya, Bro. That IS my angle, and I CAN’T WAIT to hear what our buddy Old Dolfan has to say about this later this evening!!!
Cheers, man!
I think we can all agree at this point that Ross is a bumbling idiot and we’d be better off if he didn’t own the team, lol.
Ross is a Fuck Turd
LMAO at “Fuck Turd”!
😆
Lol
As for Ross I hope he does sell the team. He’s a clown.
WTF
Not so cool. We heard there was an injury before, but didn’t seem that serious.
Boy the news just keeps getting better. SMH
So his injury must be serious.
I believe there is racism in the league. I do believe minority coaching candidates face a more difficult challenge getting and maintaining jobs. I don’t believe Flores was a victim of racial discrimination in the NFL
Agreed.
I think this is a very fair statement, but for the alleged $$$ Ross was offering Flores to tank. I understand where Flores is coming from, IF true.
I DO believe Flores when it comes to this issue.
And then, Flores put together back-to-back winning seasons in response to Ross’ BS.
Well Flores stayed with the team 2 more seasons so there’s that.
But he was talking racial discimination. Tough road to sue the only team in the league that had a black HC and black GM for that.
I don’t doubt that it happened. But I just don’t think it was racially motivated. That was year 1. Flores was fired year 3. Likely because he didn’t make the playoffs and had a toxic relationship with his QB along with most of his own staff
But Flores wanted to start a racial discrimination class action. Only reason the Phins were part of that was cause Flores worked for us and Flores was looking for payback. Obviously the tank stuff couldn’t be spread league-wide.
Ever hear of “Tank for Tua”? Yes, and Flores did so well that he did NOT tank games.
RIght – but you can’t sure other teams for racial discrimination based on ours during the “Tank for Tua” year.
Exactly
There’s so much positivity going on with the football team and Ross’ actions continue to embarrass and haunt the franchise.
*BOOM* !!!
Exactly
Gents,
My only takeaway from all of this (maybe it wasn’t racial, maybe it was, I dunno) is that Steve Ross is one of the worst owners in NFL HISTORY. I absolutely wouldn’t put anything past him or below him.
He’s right up there with ‘Deep Pockets’ (Dan Snyder) as a very conniving, manipulative owner.
How can you say racism when hiring a black HC, your GM is black, the asst. GM is black and a senior executive is black. Makes no sense.
But if they are set up for failure? Ross allegedly offering $$$ for losses, in order to get the best possible Draft pick?
Do you understand where so many are coming from on this issue?
I actually don’t think it was serious about tanking. But Ross is such a goofball saying that even in jest is stupid. The tampering was the real bad one. We lost draft picks.
I’m pissed about the 1st rounder, but Ross brought me shade and escalotors. Those meant a lot to me. And those escalators move fast to the 300s. Really cool, as is the shade.
Ross is GREAT at that! He’s a real estate developer and made the fan experience even better to generate more revenue in ticket sales.
But has he brought us any closer to a perennial playoff team? The NFL isn’t about comfy seats and shade… it’s about WINNING on the gridiron.
Improvement in the physical plant is nice but it doesn’t make someone a good owner. All owners do those kind of things
I am extremely happy about the shade. I turn to dust in the sun so I usually don’t even go out during the day. If it was still the high heat in the sun orange bowl, I probably wouldn’t be going out to the game this year.
According to Barry Jackson:
“Two weeks after he signed in free agency, the Dolphins informed Williams they would use him at center, at least in the offseason program.”
Yeah the reporters aren’t told everything.
Bye saying I don’t think Flores was discriminated against I am in no way condoning or exonerating Ross’s conduct. Ross is a dumbass. Flores is jackass. The statements are not mutually exclusive
Also the timing of this was the NFL trying to get people from focusing on Watson. That’s really suspicious.
Both situations are black eyes for the league. If they controlled the timing somehow (which I wouldn’t be surprised), they probably said, the can is open, let’s eat this thing in one week, lol.
Agreed.
Ross released a statement Tuesday after the penalties were issued.
“As I have said all along, these allegations were false, malicious and defamatory,” Ross said in the statement. “With regards to tampering, I strongly disagree with the conclusions and the punishment. However, I will accept the outcome because the most important thing is that there be no distractions for our team as we begin an exciting and winning season. I will not allow anything to get in the way of that.”
The last line is what you should have been doing all along.
I guess it could be worse
That’s always tough when guys go down for the year. Not sure where Crockett is on the depth chart but he’s behind Williams and Gordon.
I have no way of knowing if Ross was serious about the tanking, but I tend to think that was probably based in truth- pure speculation.
But the fact is, Flores made an issue of it and the talk stopped. He wasn’t forced to tank, we clearly didn’t tank, the end. I think the league came down on us entirely because we egregiously tampered with contracted employees from two teams. If you subtract that from the equation, I bet Ross would have gotten away with just a minor fine for the tank talk.
I think they wanted to tank or at least said fuck it let’s at least gut this team of every guy we don’t see in the near future. You remember the blood bath that first off-season and into camp, we were decimated.
Now Hill is here and everything is different now! 😉
I think organizationally we were happy to tank, but the players and the coaches obviously weren’t going for that.
LOL @ everything is different now. Hey, I’m with ya this time. Hill has made his presence felt and has had a huge impact on the energy surrounding this team. 🙂
I keep going back to “at least this is mostly over”. We’ll talk and argue about it for another day or two on the board, but once the 1st preseason game rolls around, it’s all football. Of course, we’ll probably have to hear about it ad nauseum during our game broadcasts for the first month of the regular season – blegh.
I don’t think there is much to argue about. We got penalized for Ross’ tampering and not for the tanking. But the tampering was costly because of the draft picks.
Why was Ross suspended for 7 weeks and Bruce Beal for the season? What did he do?
“I don’t think there is much to argue about.”
Never stopped us (collective) before 😉
LOL that’s true.
🤣
I can’t see it.
A meme: Dolphins were never accused of cheating until they let New England in their organization. Then there is a photo of Flores
LOL
If you can get 60,ooo of your closest friends to each buy 1 share of Miami Dolphins public offering Stock at $33,333.33
You might be able to buy it ($2B)
Count me in. Only 59,999 to go.
Well those weeklong joint practices with Tampa will be really annoy now .. but guaranteed we will have lots of airtime on NFLN
Whether they show any hilites is another issue
“I’m learning myself. I had to come in in a different role from being a head coach to now be an assistant, and I just want to help any way I can. I had to learn the defense because it’s a different defense, so I’m in learning mode, but at the same time, I just want to give these guys tidbits and lessons that I’ve learned throughout my years to pass them on to possibly help them with their games. I’m just moving around, trying to help any place I can.”
— Patrick Surtain… how can you not like him and Madison coaching the DBs?
Not Fn spam!!
Let’s try this again
Non-Rosshole post
Phel, bought me a couple of nice hats from Panama Jacks…
Nice. I need a couple panamas. My wife hates my Stetsons and Baileys.
“In his prime, Sam Madison, locking down Tyreek Hill? “
“Absolutely”
LOL
Sorry Sam, you were great and all, but in your generation there were no “Tyreek Hills”
“He’s a “big, physical corner. I’m glad he came back. He has his weight down so he’s moving a lot better. He’s going to have to continue to get better. We have a lot of cornerbacks that he’s going to have to contend with. So every day is going to be like his Super Bowl. And I told him there can be no letdowns on certain plays. So he’s been doing some really good things, but it’s still a long way to go. And we still have a lot of time to get there.”
— Sam Madison on Trill WIlliams… and love the way Sam & Pat talk
Yeah he’s been flashing in camp so far.
LOL…wow Ross…you just SHOWED ME what a fucking asshole you really are!!!
So glad it’s all out now and only early TC….plenty of time to put this behind and move forward.
Sucks Ross fucked up Grier’s good work…unbelievable!
I’m sure Grier has mumbled some expletives to himself towards Ross for fucking up his good work.
And, thank god it was a slap on the wrist! What a dick!
I’m pissed! Lol!
I think my rant is over but no promises…lol
Did Beal bring this deal to Ross? Or, just the fall guy?
I know I don’t get that.
Maybe he was meeting with Payton and would have got control (from Ross) if he had secured him
Well if that’s the case wouldn’t Ross fire him? Is Beal an owner?
I informed my wife of today’s Dolphins news and she expressed disbelief that I’m not more angry about our loss of picks and everything.
I told her I just bought our tix to Hawaii yesterday, we got the exact seats I wanted, we paid $1200 less than I expected to pay for them, and it’s non-stop both ways (no puddle jumper from the big island needed)- I’m good, lol.
If we make the playoffs and know we’re a good team now it will hurt less in next year’s draft.
Cool on Hawaii, when are you going?
After he comes to see us, can’t wait to meet you Cav and Mrs Cav
Exactly, this team is still the same one it was yesterday. Our Hawaii trip is post-fest, like Son said, for a week in December.
I can’t wait to meet the gang, Son. I know it’s going to be a blast. 😎
Good job!
Losing the picks is the worst part, the rest is noise.
Thumbs up!
Lol…definitely a silver lining
Man, some of you are worse crybabies than Flores.
😉
Brissett will be starting for Cleveland with Deshaun out so they’re out of it lol
LMAO! Poetic
F the owner & the old coach! Fins up BABY
Lol…agreed!
Not sure if Beal has any ownership at the moment but he’s in line to get the team from Ross
I don’t understand…what line…sorry..lol
He’s supposed to own the Dolphins when Ross either sells or dies.
There is an agreement in place for Beal to become majority owner upon certain circumstances
Ok….well next in line I guess..no?
So this is on Beal positioning himself for the Dolphin takeover…..lol…well not any more…right?
Mazel Tov Tuanigamanuolepola!!
Our boy got married two weeks ago.
Just like him to keep it under the radar. Congrats!

I always like Wingfield’s kool-aid flavored articles. Andy Cohan too.
Unphased under fire
Another day with a handful of touchdown passes, more chunk gains and no turnovers, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continued to build on a strong start to camp. Today, the defense dialed up the pressure with a handful of blitz looks for the third-year quarterback. Veteran linebacker Duke Riley was impressed by his teammate.
“I think he did a good job and I think it’s really good that we’re giving him those looks” Riley said. “We obviously as a defense have a lot of looks and we show a lot of different things and we’re making it harder for him. I feel like we’re giving him some of the hardest things he’ll see throughout the season so I think will help him throughout the games and in like-game situations.”
Tagovailoa beat a lot of blitzes today. He was making quick decisions, sliding in the pocket to achieve clean throwing platforms and helping his receivers to maximize run-after-the-catch with his location. Placing the ball consistently on the up-field shoulder allowed Miami’s decorated skill group to eat up yards.
That’s the idea, quick passes, run game and then setup the play-action deep throws. The difference this year is our receivers are going to push routes deeper than we’ve been doing in past seasons. Open up the field for more YAC and longer runs.
The pass protection has been solid throughout camp and was perhaps at its best on Tuesday. The quarterbacks frequently had time to operate. On the occasional flash from a rusher, the Miami quarterbacks had enough space to step around with the aid of a block. The relationship between the quarterback and the line knowing where to protect was evident.
OMG
LMAO!!!
LOL!!!!!
Look at the ball placement on this throw
NOT SPAM DAMNIT
SOMEONE UP THE page wondered about the nature of my response to Steve Ross’s suspension and record fine.
Well, wonder no more.
My response consists of;
1) A Yawn. What’s a couple more idiot mistakes when you’ve already set a Dolphins’ team record for playoff futility??
2) An “I told you so” many Times. How many times have I said that Miami’s BIGGEST NEED IS A NEW OWNER?? Well, if Bruce Beal is “Little Stevie Blunders’ replacement, I think I’d rather have ANOTHER CANDIDATE for that job. Buehler?? Buehler???
3) This incredibly tasteless blunder can NOT hide the fact that “Little Stevie Blunder” AGAIN did an insufficient job upgrading his woefully below average offensive line during the off season. We are one sprained ankle and one knee injury away from having the worst O-Line in the NFL AGAIN!!!
May I suggest that we bring in USAIN BOLT to try out for the position of back-up quarterback in the event that TUA has yet another major injury trying to escape an NFL pass rush??? You just KNOW that, sooner or later. it’s gonna happen again. And, of course, our new head coach will be blamed by upper management, then fired the day after the regular football season ends. It’s SOOO Predictable!!
—————————
AS I’ve pointed out before, NO Dolphin’s head coach who has never won a playoff game prior to assuming the Fins head coaching job has EVER WON A PLAYOFF GAME!! –Shula, of course, won playoff games as Colts HC prior to coming to Miami. Jimmy Johnson’ like Shula before him, won TWO Super Bowls and several NFL Playoff games before coming to Miami. And, finally, Dave Wannstedt had prior NFL Playoff success in Chicago before winning Miami’s last playoff victory in Miami Dec. 31, 2000, in overtime against a young Peyton Manning and the Colts. Ross’s obsession with new young head coaches who lack playoff success is one of life’s great mysteries. Perhaps he ought to try something different after he fires the current Dolphins head Coach?? – – Naaaaa, too logical!
————————-
Y’all have a great evening and a better tomorrow! The Old Dolfan IS OUT!
I’ll say this. The rookie or first time HC has had a lot of success for decades in the NFL. Go look at the results. The retreads not so much.
When you say we need a new owner that’s not easy to change. They’re the owner, they don’t fire themselves. They fire coaches and the org move on from players.
That said, the other stuff you’ve been saying about Ross’ buffoonery is spot on. You were right about that.
MAN I WISH I HAD A .GIF OF THAT PLAY FROM TWO YEARS AGO WHERE OUR GUARDS PULLED AND KNOCKED EACH OTHER DOWN IN FRONT OF TUA
Krishna, why do you think Beal can’t inherit or buy the team? Because he was associated with the tampering punishment? They have been punished. Nothing left to see here.
It leaves a bad taste and bad precedent…otherwise carry on….lol
“I think it’s a mentality that Coach McDaniel is installing where it’s we’re here to work and get better every play, but we’re having fun when we do it.” – Zach Sieler
HEY TIM:NO ONE WANTS to see the Dolphins win another crown more than I do. I hope Seiler’s right. I hope Miami RUNS THE TABLE!! if they do, YOU AND YOUR GRAND KIDS WILL BE TALKING ABOUT IT 50 YEARS FROM NOW. It remains the single most amazing thing I’ve ever witnessed in sports (with the “Miracle On Ice” a close 2nd!) Miami’s 32-2 record during 1972 and 1973 will NEVER be improved upon in NFL history!!
————–
But, hey, right now, I’d be happy with ONE PLAYOFF VICTORY – – – something I can almost guarantee is NOT going to happen as long as Steve Ross owns the Dolphins.
————–
REALLY OUT THIS TIME!!
I really hope you’re wrong. 😉
So with Adam Butler released who do we think steps up in his role or do we look to add someone? His role was usually nickel/dime NT/DT. Does Davis take on a bigger role, do we see more of Wilkins in that role or someone else?
We still have John Jenkins and Benito Jones has been coming up. There’s also about five other guys in camp. Wilkins, Davis and Seiler are getting the most snaps anyway plus we have Ingram looking for snaps. Not saying they wouldn’t sign somebody but I don’t think we’re deficient by any means.
I think we like to use Sieler as more of a DT/DE between the guard and tackle but maybe he moves around more too. To me vet John Jenkins is a backup for Davis. Not sure if he’s going to be active if Davis is good to go. Maybe someone else is flashing. Benito Jones and/or rookie UDFA Jordan Williams.
If it works out the way we hope, Wilkins, Davis, Sieler, Ogbah, Phillips, Van Ginkel, Ingram, Baker, Roberts and Tindall make up our main front 7 groups. You can guess the main 6 DBs as we know who they are. That’s 16 players with 11 on the field. Let’s see who else win some snaps. 😉
Based on talent, I look at how opponents can matchup against us. Our speed and skill on offense is not going to be easy for anyone. We can finally attack opponents on both sides of the ball. I know it’s early and nothing proven yet but we have a time tested offense now that fits Tua and others.
The offense under McDaniel has to be what it’s suppose to be.
CAV: are ya back in CA for the 9er or Charger games ?? We are planning to go to both
Toba, congrats on being a grandpa. I tried commenting when you posted but I haven’t been able to log in for a month. My son found a way for me to post tonight. I payed for Phinpup to get nurtured to save me money long term. Just kidding, when he finds the right girl that Annette approves of he can take the hat off 😎
Thanx Doggie ,, pup will make a fine father some day. If Mommy lets him LOL. Look forward to seeing Y’all again ..
RIP Vin Scully, the best play by play commentator in the MLB. Even though I was the warehouse manager at Angel Stadium, he always stopped by my office an bullshiited with me for at least 30 minutes. The guy was a legend
RIP Vin, but that was awesome. A little different man than Nick Saban telling Dolphins employees not to make eye contact….. a lot different.
NFL, mainly Kraft’s booty call Goodall truly hates the Fins. What a load of BS to get penalised like this and let that sleaze Kraft walk and give Watson a paltry 6 games. Sometimes, I really hate the NFL. So effing rigged. The favoured teams and players get looked after and the rest GF’ed big time.
Well, happy endings aren’t quite the same as tampering with other teams’ coaches and players…
And thank God effing Brady never donned the Fins uniform. I would have switched teams for sure. I started following the Fins in 1984. We got one game per week on TV to watch in those days. The papers never even showed the NFL game results either. I was effing mad and still am to even bother. FUCK ROSS.
Agreed, I could never be a Brady fan and my fandom would wait out until he retired….lol
Haven’t you ever heard of the “towel trick”?
Ross is top headline news in US Today Sports section. Nice! Lol….
So, Beal is a limited partner, an owner, and can’t be fired. Both he and Ross need to sell…lol
It’s funny, I have friends that root for the Steelers, Jets, and Giants and all of them think I’m out of my mind that I wouldn’t have wanted Brady on the Dolphins. They just don’t get it
Agree about not wanting Brady. Or Garoppolo, or really any outsider of that type.

Nice throw!
Led him just enough
Ez gets open.
Robert Hunt played in a similar system or playbook to ours under Billy Napier at Louisiana.
Toba, we’re leaving very early the day after the Niners game and flying back a couple days after the Chargers game.
We were planning on going to the Niners game, but Maui beckoned and we responded. We’ll have a lot going on the day before our flight so it’s very unlikely that game is going to happen.
It would have been nice to get a follow up game with you and the missus, especially since we have a Niners fan of our own that would join, but I’m fortified in the knowledge we’ll get to meet and hang with ya in Miami. 🙂
Not a worry sir.. I don’t blame ya at all
🤔🤔🤔
Not sure you can’t really connect Brady to the 1st one though, other than being on the team.

So just thinking, isn’t Fergie now the highest ranking owner not suspended?
The league can’t handle her right now
I stole that from a hilarious tweet thread.
Let her take full control.. I mean she couldn’t fuck things up any worse.
Also Rock could get with her and get some investors to buy in to his plan and do a hostile takeover. We could become a fan owned team like the Packers.
I mean I’d pledge $33K for a piece of my team. It’s currently got a rising value.

I just got hard
Austin has always had sweet feet.
The league is touting female refs, coaches, and FO personnel. They’ve had women owners before, just not as hot looking as Fergie. And Serena could raise her stake. That’s a world class athlete influence.
But Serena is more man than woman
A bit worried not hearing much about Ced Wilson and zero from Bowden.
I think Bowden is history. Not worried about Wilson yet
That sounds wonderful
I haven’t been posting much the last few weeks cause I cut four of my fingers really bad with a bread knife. Had to have major hand surgery a couple of months ago and am finally starting to use my hand again. It was really stupid what I did.
@stanger, I’m still planning on coming out for the fest. Let me know if I need to do anything for that. thanks.
That is a bummer, hopefully you retain full mobility in that hand. Was alcohol involved?
Wasn’t going to mention, but guess you apes get to call out the 800 pound gorilla in the room. 🙂
That sucks boulder. Just glad you are on the mend.
Your ticket for the Fest is reserved. All you need to do is tell me if you aren’t coming before final payment is due if you decide on that, which is in like 3 weeks. After that the tickets are on my card and paid for.
BTW Ross is a an embarrassment as an owner. wtf
well
alrighty then

Jevon Holland has incredible range and instincts. Holland is an outstanding draft pick. Dolphins looked hard at a RB in that slot but Holland was the right choice. #MiamiDolphins

Braylon Sanders has an explosive as he gets free and hauls in a pass from Bridgewater. Pressure was bearing down, might’ve been a sack in live action.

Jevon Holland has CRAZY range. Just flew from the middle of the field to break up a deep pass from Tua to Bowden on the sideline
Hopefully Sanders will be OK; it sounds like a dangerous situation…
Sounds like Schad is going to be buying a Jevon Holland jersey.
Morstadt pulled a hammy running on the side
Heatherly is a much better punter
You’re at practice again? Nice. I enjoyed your play by play yesterday, it just got lost when the Ross stuff came out.
Feel better Boulder. Don’t worry Mike E is always ready to lend a hand
thanks!

Cav, no alcohol wasn’t involved 🙂 I have to do a lot of physical therapy to get full mobility back.
Good practice notes

I have a lot of respect for the choices Tua makes. It makes me root for him that much more. As a man, and not just a Dolphins fan, I really hope he has success this year.
Tua got married…
How can all 3 be a little different???????
