IMO we have too many issues to be trading picks.
    ————
CONCURRED! But you and I don’t run the FO in Miami… yet. 😉

I’m sayin’, we might make a trade.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

And I seriously hope we don’t do anything foolish. I’m sayin’, don’t think our FO won’t make a trade before the deadline.

  2. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

M – I think we’re going to get Byron Jones back at some point, that will be a big boost to the defense. Hopefully Ogbah can get healthy and then maybe with those 2 back healthy, well see an improvement in our defense

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I hope so, man! I’M not willing to deal draft picks in any way, shape, or form. Do ya understand me? GM M13 wouldn’t do what I predict might happen.

  3. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Seriously, if I sense something might be coming down the pike, that does NOT mean I endorse it!!!

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I have no problem with making a trade unless it’s just a short term fix. If we get a player that helps us the rest of the season and a year or two after, I’m ok as long as it’s a fair trade

  4. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

LOL, DJ Moore goes from the hero to the guy that cost his team the win

  5. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    TRUTH!

  6. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Some criticize Grier on here, but he does some good contracts.

I did not realize we only signed Chase Edmonds for 2 seasons. We also have an “out” clause in his contract after this season. We can cut him after the season and only be out 600K.

    Which brings me to:
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard is an UFA next year. He ran a hobbled 4.52 at the combine but then ran 4.37 at his pro day. He put up 131 yards on 14 carries today and 3 TD’s with Zek out of the game.

He has a career average of 5.2 but is averaging around 6 ypc this season. Also, last year he caught 39 passes out of 46 targets. Good receiving back, kick returner (1 TD return) and also plays defense on ST.

We need to resign Mostert before the season is over then try to sign Pollard using the money we save on releasing Edmonds.

He would make an outstanding one two punch with Mostert.

  7. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I don’t see us making any moves. Who could we get that would
Make a significant impact? Bradley Chubb? Roquan Smith? At least one is on an expiring contract and who would they take for them? Maybe Gesicki, but he’s come on as of late so I doubt they’re looking to trade him. We’ve given up enough draft picks in the last 2-3 years. If they continue to do that this team will be in a lot of trouble in the near future .

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

      Agreed, Brian!

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Grier has no history of making big trades mid-season. This year may be a little different since we’re supposed to be a good playoff team this year, but we’re really not Super Bowl contenders that is one or two players away.

We might continue to pick up players for the bottom of the roster, but I don’t see us being big players before the trade deadline; it’s not our MO.

  8. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

  9. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Go Rams. It only took them about 20 plays inside the 10 to get that TD, lol.

  10. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Announcer says under thrown “again”. How many times have we seen Mahomes do that and it was “he was throwing it to a spot” or some shit like that.

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

        Right?
I honestly couldn’t give less of a shit that it was underthrown. Was the receiver able to make a play on the ball? And did the receiver make the play? Aren’t those the most important metrics? lol

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

He threw it between 4 dbs -if he would have thrown it deeper – it’s easier to defend

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

      It’s Duper/Clayton 2.0

    • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

That fucking announcer should not be working. He was anti-Miami all day. “Underthrown again!” no man, it was a scramble drill and Tyreek was coming back to the open spot on the feild.

  11. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

A Rams win will put our pick in the top 10.

  12. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

While I mostly agree with all of you about trades, sometimes you bring in the right player and he makes a huge difference. I think this defense could use a player like that. There’s no guarantee that it works out, but I won’t go crazy if we pick up a player that can help us

  13. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Kong – Grier hasn’t had a team worthy of upgrading either. Remember our record with Tua at QB.

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Yeah, I mentioned this year may be a little different, but I don’t see us changing our approach just because we expect to be a playoff team this year. If we were a legit SB contender I’d probably agree at the potential for a big trade; I just don’t see it this year. I could be wrong 🙂

  14. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

In case you are wondering the record for most receiving yards in a season is 1964 by Calvin Johnson in 2012

🐆 has a shot at the record

  15. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Beautiful throw by McCaffrey

  16. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

It’s exciting to see what Tua is doing. We have our QB. The only question is can he stay healthy.

  17. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    woohoo Rams!

  18. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Steelers have the worst point differential at -77.
The next worst team is the Lions at -52

Steelers almost certain to have their first losing season under Tomlin, and it doesn’t look like Flores has had much of a positive impact on their defense- oh, and to hell with Minkah too 😂

  19. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

lol at no facemask roughing call on the Jimmy G sack. You brush his helmet you get called, but you nearly rip his helmet off with a facemask and no call.

  20. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

A Commanders win would also be nice.

  21. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

We are 5-3 with a -14 point differential

  22. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

We are 2-1 in division and Jets are 1-1. They are still ahead of us due to head to head.

We also could use a Cleveland win Monday night as Cincy also has the head to head on us. Maybe Brissett can finally win one for us.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We’re in good shape. We had to have this win. I don’t care what it looked like. Trying to clean things up when you win is always good. 🙂

  23. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Last week the D stepped in and got us the win. This week it was the O. Sure would be nice to have last week’s D play with this week’s O next week.

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

Haha! No kidding. It seems like we can never play well on both sides of the ball. The D did step up to allow 0 points in the second half though!

      If Cincy loses, right?

      • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Who has the H2H between them and the Ravens? If Cincy wins tonight do they overtake Balt? if they swap then we have the H2H on Balt, but then I think there will be more than 2 teams tied at 5-3 with 4-2 conference records so then they go to the next tie breaker?

Still too early to try and do the math. I am just sorting the column on the website. LOL

  39. Ken's avatar Ken says:

My Patriots friend just texted me that Bellicheck never hired an OC because he will have Josh McDaniel back

  40. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Should we truly be all giddy, being our potent Offense outscored our last two opponents (Stealers* 2-6 and Lions 1-6) by a collective 10 mere points?

Don’t mean to poop on the parade, but that’s just sad… and this is the soft part of our schedule. If ya do the math, the next time we see Josh Allen he’s going to put 60 points on our so-called Defense.

  41. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    Rams suck

  42. manitobafinfan's avatar manitobafinfan says:

Krishna: yes Sanders played a bit after the fumble

  43. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I think part of the problem on offense with the penalties is it’s not an easy system and we’ve been having to use a lot of players. But the really good players still show up. The entire league is facing the battle of attrition early on.

Things in the universe have re-balanced as they should be. The Jets are below the Dolphins in the Division again due to our 2-1 vs their 1-2 record in the Division.

A loss tonight by Buff would not cost them 1st in the Division but it would shrink their lead to half a game on us.

  55. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Ken, I agree. McDaniel has to have a coaches meeting. What’s up with the stupid penalties? Most of it was movement. Stop that! 😉

  56. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Mack Hollins was the leading receiver for Vegas, even though he dropped a first down pass.

  57. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Kong, I got confused. I was thinking about Welker’s comments on Sherfeild not Sanders. Still, it is ‘another guy’ playing ahead of EzE who looked awesome in preseason.

  58. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

It’s crazy to me that it’s now just standard for the pregame to have segments with a bunch of predictions on prop bets.

  59. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

This offense is not easy. Lots of movement. Hill and Waddle are special. It’s okay to say Tua’s pretty good too. 😉

Here is the current playoff standing. We are behind jets but in front of Cincy for now.

We have a better Div and Conf record than them. I am still enraged by the direct interference of the “spotter” in handing that game to the steJ.

Bills are at the Jets next week, so there’s that. Someone will lose.

    McDaniel says
about Tua’s TD pass to Gesicki
“that was the first time we’ve ever hit that route on that concept.

    You rarely see it.
It was the #4 in the progression
but Tua progressed through to that very quickly.”

Waddle was looking into the EZ from about the 2
and started cheering before Gesicki even caught the ball.

  65. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We’re in the mix folks at 5-3 and Tua drives that train. McDaniel knows he has an assassin at QB. It’s just getting started. Tua is on a 12-2 streak as a starter. Hill and Waddle are Duper/Clayton 2.0. Most teams can’t cover that.

I live reading this. The only way you get to a 4th read in the nfl is when the pocket breaks down or the qb reads the defense right and knows that’s the route to look for. Well played fins.

We’ve been vulnerable in the secondary due to injury but players heal and we’re in a position to compete at 5-3.

They have called lining up in the neutral zone 5 fucking times this game. 3 against us and twice against them. wtf refs?

Check this out Kong. Kinda difficult not to call sometimes, but man, did they get nit-picky on those neutral zone flags. I think the refs wanted a WW1 no-mans-land dealwith just the centre in it!

By the way, did you see I asked Ian to put NFL replays on Plat and he obliged with a new folder. Last night’s games are on a continuous loop until next week. Only problem is you can’t choose where you tune in from, so you have to wait for it to restart if you want to watch the whole game unfold. Also the ads are still in there 😣
