JP is one of a pretty stacked group of fave fins, but this one play shows exactly what he is. Old tweet I know but found in my bookmarks.
Hulk will get very angry with anyone who talks bad about Tua today
ππ
Remember if they do, they’re just slobbering themselves. Lol!
Lol…I need a π¨
MM going to start wearing a baseball glove to cover the lip reads? π
Interesting
I hope not!
He kind of fits the bill of what we need
He is an UFA next season and has a 14M price tag this season…..
I know he would not be cheap but our pass rush has been really inconsistent. If that is put us over the top it would be worth it but I totally understand your point of view
Not buying
I didn’t realize it was that bad, but noticed he wasn’t playing as well as usual.
From PFF:
“It was a surprisingly rough day for one of the best safeties in the NFL. Jevon Holland allowed a catch on all five of his targets for 128 yards. Thatβs even crazier when you consider he had allowed only four catches for 45 yards all season long before this week.”
As maligned as the Dolphins O-line has been, they were creating and holding some pretty nice pockets for Tua yesterday. (He absolutely helps by his quick decision making and release, but they did a good job overall, IMO.
But he sucks otherwise and has a weak arm….
I like to his stats on 4th down as I know he has had some big throws there including 2 40+ yards TD passes
I wonder who has the best 4th quarter passer rating in the league this season….
http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/leaders.asp?type=Passing&range=NFL&rank=110
It’s kinda F’d up that the Dolphins have TWO QB’s in the top 10
It means we’ve been behind too often
Great coaching that McDaniel can come up with plays he’s had stashed in his back pocket for if we need a boost at the end.
Looking at next weekend’s opponent the Bears record
W1 – 19-10 W over 49rs
W2 – 27 – 10 L to Packers
W3 – 23-20 W over Texans
W4 – 20-12 L to Giants
W5 – 29-22 L to Vikings
W6 – 12-7 L to Commanders
W7 – 33-14 W over the Pats
W8 – 49-29 L to the Cowboys
They are not a great team, but I will caution against the “trap’ game. This is the NFL and they get paid too.
Why is every game against a team with a bad record a trap game
that’s what makes it a trap, IDK
A trap game to me was always later in the season when a top team looks past an opponent because they have big matchup against another top team for playoff implications. Not a week 9 game.
We’ve talked about Wilson not getting it done, but his worth was supposed to be when Hill and Waddle were doubled and covered, they’ve been open all year and have produced, so whatever Wilson
He did have some nice punt returns yesterday, so maybe he’s starting to get healthy and will come around

Tua Tagovailoa has a passer rating of 137.5 with 126 yards and 1 touchdown in 7 games on 4th down in his career.
They can’t even get it right, when trying to say good things about us
Earlier this season, the Miami Dolphins looked like one of the most exciting offenses in the NFL. They were averaging 21 points and 355 yards per game in a 3-0 start to the season.
Interesting snap count observations
On defense, we have to start with the safety position and the very interesting decision to elevate rookie Verone McKinley III, put him in the starting lineup and have Rowe as a healthy inactive. CBS play-by-play man Andrew Catalon revealed during the broadcast that head coach Mike McDaniel indicated the decision to sit Rowe had to do with the fact he doesn’t play special teams. Well, here’s the thing: McKinley played 48 of the 60 defensive snaps in his first NFL start but he didn’t play a single snap on special teams himself. So, essentially, this means the Dolphins chose McKinley over Rowe for this game because of defense, not special teams. It was a decision that was surprising to many, and that includes Rowe.
Also in the secondary, Kader Kohou started opposite Xavien Howard after missing the past two games with an oblique and played 57 snaps. That should clear up any doubt about Kohou being the No. 2 Dolphins cornerback while Byron Jones remains out.
Soooo, being it wasn’t a very good defensive effort in the 1st half do they make changes next week?
Interesting
For fuck sake Byron
Jets came back to earth this week after having several advantage games and others against bad teams
Mostert is the type of RB, that fits perfectly in an MM O, he has the speed and YPC that keep the D honest
I never wanted to have that O, that used the run to setup the pass, even though the 49ers were just that, but their O was painful to watch far too often
5-3 after 8 games… Cincy on road Thurs Night is acceptable because it’s as close to a “scheduled loss” that the NfL can create. Vikings are a good team. It’s just that damn Jets game (means we’d need Buff to lose again before we play them) … otherwise we survived and are still in good position.
Defensive health is what really matters now. With Brandon Jones out and Byran Jones a “?” … DB help might be more important than pass rush help ….
A lot of those games in the “tough stretch” after the bye don’t look as tough anymore (SF, SD, and GB specifically). Shore up the Def (somehow!) and winning 12 games is very doable.
Byron not Bryan lol. now I’m getting spell changes on first names. smh
“According to teamrankings.com, the Miami Dolphins are tied for the fourth most penalized team in the NFL over the past three weeks, averaging 7.3 accepted penalties per game.”
LOL, I wonder where we rank if you include non-accepted penalties…
Foist
Dov Kleiman
@NFL_DovKleiman
The #Dolphins and #Jets are interested in trading for #Broncos Pass-Rusher Bradley Chubb.
There’s enough interest from both teams that they’re considering trading a 1st round pick for him, a well-plugged-in GM tells
@peter_king
I say F-it, just do it, sure you’ve got to pay him with cap space we don’t have, but it would be huge and keep him away from the jets and allow Phillips to drop into coverage, while not losing pass rush
The idiots said Chubb’s salary cap hit would be 16m, it’s only 12.7m and we’re halfway thru so about half of that and we have 5.7m
NFL on CBS π
@NFLonCBS
Most games in a single season with 10 receptions and 160 receiving yards in NFL history
2012 Calvin Johnson 4
2022 Tyreek Hill 4*
*still has HALF A SEASON LEFT to break the record
It’s good to see no one really talking about Tua being s problem outside of his health. It’s amazing what top tier WRs do for a QB. Look at what Mahomes had until this year, and you start to see part of why he’s so good. Same for Burrow. Same for any QB. Talent makes it so much easier. Tua needed help to produce just like every QB. Fuck you Flores.
We’re still not a good team but McDaniels is doing a great job for a first-year coach. If we clean up the penalties and get some guys back on D soon, we have the chance to make the playoffs and change the way the refs play us. Detroit is the worst D in the NFL so Tua should have done well. Detroit has a good offense, and our D is injured so they should have also done well. Clean up those penalties and show us the playoffs coach!
I agree with all you say except that we are a good team. Team just isn’t elite yet.
if you click the link and scroll down,
you get to see Zach Wilson’s chart for comparison.
Actually, there’s no comparison.
Jeff Kerr
@JeffKerrCBS
Tyreek Hill is on pace for 147 catches and 2,042 yards this season.
Hill would finish with the 2nd-most catches in a season in #NFL history and would be the first player with 2,000 receiving yards in a season.
I couldn’t give a shit about records, but it does prove all of these preseason a-holes like Keyshon jet fan wrong, when Tyreek was talking uo his QB
NFL Research
@NFLResearch
Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle have combined for 1,688 receiving yards this season, the most by a teammate duo in the first 8 games of a season in the Super Bowl era.
Jets offense regressed A LOT without Breece Hall.
Did you see Platinum comment on last page Kong?
I did, but I have NFL premium, or plus, or whatever the hell it is that lets me watch replays, lol.
It’s like $10 a month, and you get the replay right after the game ends, so totally worth it.
Nuff said. Trumped Plat!
I did watch the Paul vs Silva match for free on Saturday.
Gonna smoke this one!
Tyreek with 9, 4 this year, so I think this puts to rest anyone thinking he was a Homer, when saying Tua was more accurate than Mahomes
This scheme is starting to make these linemen look good….
Or maybe they are getting better like young players often do?
wrong tweet link.
This one
Sacked twice on 4 pressures isn’t good though, but had no affect on the game
Single season WR yardage 1. Calvin Johnson 1,964 (16 games) 2. Kupp 1,947 (17 games). Hill is on pace for 1,922 for 16 games.
GET HIM the BALL lol.
Dallas is looking for WR help … I wonder if they’d be interested in Wilson … could use any picks we get to go after help for the defense.
I feel like Eichenberg getting hurt forced a decision, that the team was afraid to make
Rumor has it Bills are trying to make a trade today for Saints RB Alvin Kamara.
Yikes, just what we need
Then they can refuse to hand the ball off to him too
I hope the Eagles stay undefeated all the way to the Superbowl this year…..To be denied by the Dolphins in the big game!
UK posted one similar to this on the last page, but this is so funny I had to repost it…
Lol – heβs a little offsidesβ¦.
I’d like to know what his thoughts were, when he looks inside towards the ball
Sure he’s not lined up on the ball often, but first thing you do on D is look at the ball for alignment
I don’t get how that’s even possible, but stupid is…
Lions had only 3 possessions in the 2nd half.
https://www.nfl.com/games/dolphins-at-lions-2022-reg-8
Very strange. LOL
The NFL’s website says the 4th quarter was only 12:06……They are missing something!
The last 2:54 was our run out the clock drive
Lions only getting 3 2nd half possessions is great complimentary football, which we done a great job of in our 5 wins
If the Bills get Kamara it will suck
But it probably make a difference since they really donβt run the ball
The Bills style of play drives me crazy
Look at what they did against Steelers, Rams, Titans and Packers last night
They donβt run the ball even when they get up by multiple scores late
Josh Allen is often their leading rusher
That’s a scary team any way you look at it, with or without Kamara
Thatβs true
But the piggy eye spots a weaknessβ¦.
The only thing I’ve seen that the Bills don’t do well is convert short yardage, which is kind of surprising with Allen back there.
Kamara is also an excellent receiving back. He would be scary on the Bills.
For the past 20 years, any 3rd and 7+ felt like a guaranteed punt. Even 3rd and short always felt like a struggle.
This year, on 3rd and 10+ I have a lot of confidence we can convert.
You must’ve been sleeping, when Fitz was our QB
I said the same thing, when Fitz was regularly picking up 3rd and long
lol @ regularly. We never did anything regularly with Fitz. He’d occasionally pick up a 3rd and long, but certainly not regularly, and definitely not with the regularity the 2022 Dolphins pick it up.
I had confidence Fitz would pick up the 3rd and long, just like I do now with Tua
Fitz had a rating of 53.0 on 3rd and 10+ with us in 2019.
He had an 83.3 rating with us in 2020 (on just 14 attempts since Tua took over that year).
By comparison, Tua has a 157.1 rating this year on 3rd and 10+

Meanwhile π§ is on,y about 40 yards away from #2
#2 has only 7 games of stats, think his 108 from last night aren’t included
I still, hate him!β¦.lol
Happy Halloween everyone!
Hey – look who is 6 in total offense
https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team
1 and 2 are bills and chiefs
We’re #1 in passing yards, but late games haven’t been updated yet
Allen only had 218 last night
Nice!
Lol
Watched the highlights and focused on Shell, he’s not giving the position back to Jackson
But his arm…
He struggles with the deep ball tho, right?
And, and some of his passes are under thrown
In KC, they call those “creative.”
Keep the “I was wrong” clips coming…
There is nothing wrong with having an opinion or a take and being proven off or incorrect about it. It’s when you wont move off that position that you lose credibility.
For instance, if we make a big trade for Chubb (or anyone else), I’ll be on the board right away to own up that I was wrong, lol.
That is
MAULIN’
by Shell!!
Obviously Tua has been tearing it up. A lot of us projected he would benefit from improved weapons around him (he has) and a better O-Line (he has — even if still imperfect the OL is better).
But the one person I think has helped him out the most except maybe Tyreek is McDaniel. They just have a great relationship on and off the field that lets Tua just relax. Plus I think McD is game and scheme planning to Tua’s strengths.
Hey btw
Which Defensive coach was McDaniel talking to in that clip above, when he said, “Bro, get that fuckin’ fixed.”
Was it Ty McKenzie the OLB coach?
I’m pretty sure it is McKenzie in the foreground, but it looks like he may be talking to the guy behind him who I think is Crossman.
Crossman definitely has some issues to be fixed,
as we are mediocre to bad on BOTH sides of STs.
We finally got a good PR (from Ced)
but some knucklehead ruined it with a flag
cuz he blocked in the back
on the other side of the field!!
Yeah, our special teams are bad, worst in the league. That block in the back was infuriating. FINALLY get a return…nope, bring it back, lol.
I was reading the comments on the McD video, and some people were saying he was talking at DC Boyer. I’ve watched it over and over and I don’t see Boyer…
Tua is 6th in passing TDs, even though he missed 10.5 quarters.
I haven’t watched much of the a-holes lately, is Tua a franchise QB yet, to them?
Nobody was saying on my drive in. Everyone just saying he played well
What if Giselle’s next boyfriend is Gronk?
That’ll take the news away from every Tua pass not being perfect
lol, man did we dodge a bullet when Flores blew up our Brady deal. Although, I guess we still got his with a smaller caliber…
The Tua numbers and ratings are quite frankly in the range
where folks begin to talk of
MVP votes,
but I guess the league is not ready for that yet.
Stay healthy for the remainder of season and he may be in the discussion
we had to play Betty Treadwater to prove how valuable he is!
Just win let Allen take the award
We don’t need an MVP on his resume, before we sign him to his 2nd contract
Watched the highlight of Lions TE getting clobbered knew right away it was Roberts, he can sure lay the wood
Rewatching the game. Did we get any update on the Davis injury? I don’t even know if he returned to the game.
I thought he returned
I’ll look for it. He did walk off on his own.
He returned
You guys are right. He was back in the next series.
Christian Wilkins drew 3 flags for lining up offsides. That dog just don’t hunt…. especially when it is a vet.
It was called a little differently yesterday, they usually allow at least 1/2 a ball length
I’ll watch game after game and wonder why it isn’t called, it is in college
If you line up about a half yard over the ball and you twitch they will call it
Other things they don’t call is the motion guy moving forward on an angle at the snap and the WRs being at the same depth as the OL, when they’re supposed to be off the ball
Our D mostly sucks with all the injuries, but they’ve been great at the end of all 5 wins
Our Defense

Bend, bend, bend, bend, bend, bend F’n Stretch Armstrong!
Feed him the ball MORE
You feed him more and he gets hurt, they’re using him enough to keep the D honest, but not too much he gets 8 in the box and bottled up
Last year I expected more TDs from distance from Waddle and more yards per reception, this years he’s getting them, because of Tyreek
Last week we saw a somewhat timid Tua, coming off the concussion, this week we saw what he’s capable of the rest of the way
They just called the 2nd neutral zone infraction on 94 and on 6, and it is really super ticky tacky. 94 has maybe half a finger length over the line, and his upper body is definitely is not over and #6 is standing, his feet are not over, but he is leaning very slightly into the zone. Gimme a break.
That’s the twitch I was talking about, they’ll give you the half yard, but you have to be still
Man, Phel was right yesterday when he said they weren’t giving us replays of any of these penalties.
Finally got a replay on the BS PI call against Hunter Long
see below for maybe why
I think the neutral zone infractions fall into the realm of a tip-off somebody “called in” to the refs. Somebody like Tomlin. (Or Flores via Tomlin)
They were hyper about it, even a bit against the Lions.
They get like that about one certain thing for a game or two, then it dies down to normal again.
Both Howard and Wilkins usually push that to its limit as part of their persona, but that line judge was out to prove a point, maybe to a boss (for example, a HC on the rules committee).
That OPI on Long was about as phantom a flag as you’ll ever see.
Yep, the defender had his hand on Long, Long knocked the hand off and got called for PI, lol.
Where is Tua? I don’t see….Oh, wait there his is. WAY up there…..
LOL @ B. Mayfield on the 1st graphic
And Zach Wilson
Just got to the part of the game that McDaniel said ‘bro, get that fucking fixed’. It was right after the 3rd offsides call (2nd time on #6). I’m pretty sure he actually was talking to McKenzie; looked like McKenzie acknowledged it, which you couldn’t see on the twitter clip.
Went back and rewatched the play, #6 went slightly early and was just offsides- good call.
Thatβs pretty Impressive
and Grier brought in 3 of those 6 so props to him (Hill, Williams and Armstead). They did miss on Wilson and looking to be Edmonds also.
Lot of this stuff lately
I hate that people are patting him on the back for admitting he was wrong instead of challenging whether this talk head is credible. There are plenty of young sports writers that got it right
lol, see my above post. I give him credit for admitting he was wrong.
Analysts (and people with opinions) are going to be wrong a lot. For me, you lose credibility when you won’t move off a position when you’ve been proven wrong.
Just as he had every other game, even against the Steelers, if we get the PIs and hits to the head we easily score 30
INJURIES
WR DeVante Parker suffered a knee sprain in Sunday’s win over the Jets, and will likely only be one game should he miss time at all, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports, per a source. Parker left the game after the very first play without returning. New England enters its bye week following Week 9.
Sure
And we know how he plays after getting nicked up
I can’t believe it took till week 9, lol.
I know DBs are scared of Tyreek and Waddle, but maybe defensive back coaches should be as well.
“A day after the Miami Dolphins shredded their NFL-worst defense for 382 yards passing, the Detroit Lions fired defensive backs coach and defensive pass game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant.”
It was overdue
because having NO defensive backs coach or an underling of the fired defensive back coach is better than have…..Wait, what?
One of those fingers is offsides…
We had ONE guy at the probowl last season (X) I wonder how many we will have this year. (Before alternates)
#Dolphins have 6 offensive players ranked issue the top-10 at their respective position:
So Peter know nothing King says the Dolphins and Jets are both so interested in trading for Chubb that first round picks are in play…..
20 mins later – Jet’s state that defensive line is the deepest position on the team and they have NO interest in trading for Chubb…..
lol, I love it when teams come out and clown these ‘insiders’
The final neutral zone infraction called on 94, he is definitely out further than the rest of the dline, but if he’s over the line, again it’s by maybe half a finger length. He was behind the TV blue line delineating the line of scrimmage (which isn’t always accurate).
Again, very ticky tack.
But what Tomlin says
(now incl the Flores factor)
carries a lot of weight.
It could be something like that. They definitely seemed like they were out to make a point of strictly enforcing it. I will say almost all of them they called were I guess technically correct.
π¦,
I donβt give prisco credit for admitting he is wrong. It might be harsh but in that clip heβs calling people on Twitter crazy for calling him out on his stupid tweet that he had to admit was wrong
Sports journalism is in the toilet – people would rather get likes and rqeeets in the moment than state an informed tweet
Tuaβs trajectory isnβt unusual itβs not like a Geno Smith story – prisco just wrote off a player that he shouldnβt have
I give him some credit cause he didn’t have to. Same time seemed a pretty clear a motivator was to get the bashers of him off his twitter account.
He did it bc people were annoying him on Twitter
My thought as well.
I hear ya, bro.
In all honesty, my little spiel about admitting when your wrong, when I wrote it in my original post, I was more talking about myself anyway. I hold strong opinions and often forcefully express them, and in my own head the one redemptive quality that kind of mitigates that is the capacity and willingness to admit when I’m proven wrong.
Briscoe can eat a bag of d^cks for all I care π€£
See, I don’t even know the guy’s name, lol.
Good we wonβt have to play against him on Sunday
π»
Dolphins get the first shot at new Bears defense missing their leading tackler for the last half decade
HA! I’m glad I refreshed before posting. Had the link cut and ready to go! Woot Woot. We get to try them without their best LB in decades.
I would have loved Roquan smith for a second and a fifth
Heck yeah, great timing for us.
Good short term timing for us, but one of our AFC rivals for the playoffs just got better.
plus we’ve already BEATEN the Ravens,
so we don’t have to play him with them either,
whereas other AFC teams do.
LOL
Gooooo Browns …
briskett owes us.
Kong
You and I are just fans. We are allowed to be fanatical and are often wrong
But This is Priscoβa job
Hereβs another one
They are all coming out of he woodwork now – sheβs acting like she was always behind Tua
These blowhards with a mic have been driving me crazy for 2 years
Where is the informed analysis?
The people that’ll come out and act like they’ve always been behind Tua are the ones that’ll tick me off.
This is my favorite reply to her post, lmao
Lol
Hilarious…perfect
Bears are 31st on the NFL in rush defense and just traded their leading tackler
We are 6th in the league in rush defense BTW
Joy Taylor is Jason Taylor’s sister.
I think she has always been at least a wait and see supporter of Tua.
PS: I posted her pic on here a couple months ago,
relative to some topic on the board at that time,
and I still think some of you thought I was just
posting a random hot chick pic, but I wasn’t.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E-NSsNPVIAYBP9w.jpg:large
I met Jason Taylorβs βhostessβ once
She was actually very critical of Tua and said βhe doesnβt have itβ
She happens to be on cowherds show so relatively speaking, she isnβt as bad as colin cowherd but she was pretty bad
Sieler got a game ball because McDaniel says he only brought one hand to the game and still knocked down 2 passes with his one good hand.
PFF now has Tua ranked as the 3rd best QB in the NFL this year.
PFF also rated Tua’s game against the Lions as the #1 best rated game played by ANY QB in 2022 against ANY opponent.
Naples – this is an old 2020 quote from Joy Taylor

Thank you, Wyo. MM is the man…
Didn’t think he liked his locker room moment shared…
The NFL puts out such shitty ancillary products, smh.
Full game replays are available under their premium package at $10 per month or $80 for the year. They cut out commercials, but the rest of the broadcast is supposed to be left intact.
I’m watching the Ravens game and there is a gap at the end of the 3rd quarter at the 26 second mark right after the Ravens score. The game suddenly jumps into the 4th quarter and the Dolphins have the ball at the Ravens 42. Then 6 game minutes later, it skips one of our 1st down plays.
There was another play earlier on another replay I was watching, I think it was the Steelers game, where a play cut off before the refs even called it over, and it suddenly jumped to the next play.
When I watch gamecasts on the computer, I watch them on ESPN’s site because the NFL site gamecast is glitchy and the way they use their game graphic with the ball moving along the field is goofy as hell.
13 billion dollar business and these are the crappy products I get.
A 2nd and 5th for LB Smith was not all bad but he will be an UFA next year.
It would be real entertaining if the Ravens gave up this draft capital for a half season of play and then we sign him as an UFA next year.
After him not quite getting it in the defense for 34 weeks before The lightbulb turns on
Our pick from SF dropped from 11 to #20 with that last win. Sucks they got McCaffrey.
Edge Foskey should still be available in that area. Also, a couple decent CB’s.
Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller were still hemming and hawing about on NFL Radio as I was driving home. Fucking Jim Miller who was nothing special π‘
Joe Burrow says that with Jamar Chase being out it wonβt be that big a deal because the two other wide receivers would both be number one on any other team.
