RE: Letting about half a minute of clock time needlessly runoff the clock;
Had we called timeout with about 40 seconds to go we COULD have, in an orderly fashion, come up with a play that produced a touchdown, or, at the worst, got us a FIRST DOWN. THEN we’d Still have about 30 seconds to run AT LEAST TWO PLAYS, LIKELY 3 PLAYS, to get the TD.
AS it was we had to rush our FG team onto the field. THAT”S NOT AN EXCUSE for missing the FG!! But this sense of “time is gonna run out COULD have been avoided with better clock management.
AND that’s the fault of the rookie head coach.
NOW we need to follow Tim’s advice and go out and score a touchdown!!!
The defense has to play a little more read and react because the Bears are running a lot of misdirection plays.
Trent Green just said the Bears defense has kept them in the game
