What if everyone in our division finihes 3-3, not good for us, but it could happen
Should’ve been a post for bottom of last page😡

That was not the problem today. They were not beating us over the top. Only 123 yards on 28 attempts. It was playing your DBs with their back to the QBs. It allowed Fields to extend plays with his legs and or take off for big runs
I’m well aware! It has been a problem for the season though. It was partly the DB’s, but it was mostly the DL and LBs. That’s who’s job it is to prevent that from happening. T
My point was that they can’t do what makes them so successful- the fact that they DIDN’T do it through the air only highlights the fact that our D is playing awful right now. Fields set the record for most yards ever by a QB against us. That’s embarrassing.
I would have expected we play more zone which keeps the DBs facing the QB which takes away some of the running opportunities.
The Bears defense had not allowed a QB to throw for 3 TDs OR 300 yards against them all year. Tua did both.
Tua leads league in QBR. Mahomes is 2nd.
79.7 to 76.7
Tua is only QB to exceed 80 QBR for a game 4 times, with 2 being over 90.
wow
Shannon Sharpe says people might need to start
mentioning Tua in the MVP conversation.

Thank you, Brian. This is precisely what I’m talking about, and I think Steve would concur.
Gotta change up the game plan until we get two healthy, lockdown CBs back… that’s on Boyer, IMO.
Tim Knight says:
November 6, 2022 at 8:02 pm
M13, I don’t think it’s on Boyer. The calls aren’t wrong. Too many missed tackles by the back end. You can only play with who you have. Fields is RB playing QB.
————-
See above, my guy.
Tim, you and I absolutely agree that you can only play with who ya have. IMO, Boyer needs to change the game plan up a bit until we get a healthy X and Byron back.
With any fortune, that comes after our bye week.
Yeah
Jason Taylor’s son, a TE for LSU, caught a TD in the upset of Bama.
Then he caught the winning 2-point conversion in OT.
yay
👍
hey Steve
LSU is also the Tigers, right?
Lol
PFF said Kader on Mooney would be a mismatch.
He got 1 for 9 against Kohou.
Kohou saved the game with his run support
Henry running big mad tonight!
Beast mode
Titans have a new QB, goodnight RT
Tyreek with 1104 receiving yards is crazy
If he had a real franchise QB throwing to him imagine what he could accomplish
LOL
so is Tannehill still “sick”?
His stomach is a little quesy
The weather isn’t right over here. We’re only supposed to have wind gusts up to 7 MPH, according to most forecasts. I hate to tell them, but we have severely low cloud cover with gusts up to 50 MPH.
Near full moon tonight, and you can see the clouds run like ‘Reek Da Cheetah right past it. At least the leaves will all be blown off the trees, but something isn’t right.
UFO sightings
LOL, maybe UD-75 sightings (is that what ya call them?) after Tua owned them once again!
The Force.
Is STRONG with this one! 🙂
The weather was really funky here today as well
Yeah, man! Really funky here and all day.
Something is waaay out of place.
Tannehill has an ankle injury.
KC getting smoke, wait here comes a BS block in back
Being serious, perhaps this is the prelude to a tornado. Y’all east of me, be watchful. This system will be coming your way soon.
I’ve got NO warnings of a tornado, but this weather is funked up and most reminiscent of a tornado warning.
Who are we rooting for this evening? KC or TEN?
Injuries
That too, but Tenn has a huge lead a loss by them means very little
KC with another New englandesque phantom holding call on a q0 yard Henry run
10 yard
Titans afraid to open up Willis
You guys see that shit? How is that not on Kelce?
They been giving KC everything all game
Just call holding until they gather try
Get the try
I thought you could have contact for 5 yards
Willis was tighter than a crab’s ass in the 4th
I hate these games where the team I want to win has a QB trying to play with training wheels
Stupid Titans call timeout
OT, baby!
Pretty decent game all in all
Definitely!
Don’t think Tannehill will lose his job just yet ..
YUP!
Man, Malik Willis has MUCH to learn.
Alright, allow KC to win the AFC WEST (as we thought would happen, anyway). The Titans are only an injury or two from NOT being playoff contenders.
For instance, if Derrick Henry gets injured again, that team is SUNK.
As shown tonight, they have NO Receivers
Yessir, Mr. Manitoba!
On to Cleveland… at home next week.
Bradley Chubb vs Nick Chubb.
Who has the bigger Chubb, right?!!
We have the bigger Chubb, question is do we have the better Chubb. lol
LOL
😆
Next 4 games are against really good RBS. ..
Chubb
Pierson
McCaffrey (student vs teacher)
And Ekeler
Don’t have much in the way of running QBs until Josh again
One game at a time. Bring on the Browns. Even though it is November. They are still going to wilt in our heat.
Tim, they still show the Dolphins in 3rd place in the division and 6th place in the conference, behind the Jets in both. I’m not sure what you were looking at
https://www.nfl.com/standings/conference/2022/REG
The H2H loss counts more against us than our better Conference record (.667 vs .625) counts for us.
Hopefully the Pats can squeak out a win against that Defense next week and the 7-1 vikings can take down the Bills.
That way our 7-3 team can pull ahead of their 6-3 team for 1st place in the division and NEVER LOOK BACK.
(they looked back game 4 when we had the conference lead and Tua got hurt) no more injuries!
Lot of angst over a win.
We are Dolphin fans. Years of emotional trauma
Someone mentioned this last night, but I agree, it sucks that Fields broke a record and his jersey is going to hang in the hall of fame next week, but at least it was in a LOSS!
Nani nani boo boo!
Sure is Phelon. Way too much angst.
As Tim said, the Pets have been winning the close ones with Brady for 20 years. A win is a win and that’s all that matters.
I just want a complete win with all phases clicking. We really haven’t had one of those. Until then I think we are all kind of wondering how good our team really is. At least we are not wondering how bad our team really is as per usual
Miami beat BAL in a shootout. They beat BUF in a slugfest. I I think we know how good they are.
We know how can good we can be
Ken…those games are really rare. IMO most games in the NFL except for the really bad teams are close-run affairs. Look at last year, the Lions lost so many games by 3 points or less. Turn that around and they become a winning team.
Still this year our team appears to be so much better than last years.
No doubt we are much better and we are settled at the most important position on the field. I really think we can go on a run over the next 3-5 years of being a very competitive team. However we have to really gel. When we do we will be scary good
Thar missed pass to Smythe was on Smythe. He turned his head as Tua was about to throw and Tua started to pull it down.
I felt a lot better about that throw after seeing it on replay
Kyle Crabbs is have a ball this morning retweeting haters’ tweets to Tyreek when he came to Miami. Dozens of “Sorry but your career is over now” type tweets. He is just keeping the receipts
Yeah, what they said
Someone pointed out in one of these twitter threads that we are in year one of this offense. New coaches, new terminology, new everything and we came out roaring. I don’t want to invoke the wrath of the football gods but man, how good can they be once they get the full system down??
It can be great, but the production now is as good as it gets, it always is, our opponents Ds will find a way to slow it down somewhat
Marino’s 2nd year never came close to being equalled, because other teams caught up
Doc Gooden at 18 and 19 was mostly unhittable, they said wait until he has a few more years in the league…he was never again as good
Drugs might have had something to do with Gooden’s decline
Glad we have them!
they cost enough with 3 first round picks, 1-2nd round, 2-4ths and a 6th!!
And worth all of it
That’s technically correct, but not really accurate and you can go back to Tunsil trade, to make it really look good, so what does it really matter what picks were exchanged, but you already knew that so 🤪
With more time, Tagovailoa may show even more improvement. So it will be exciting to see how the former Alabama QB continues to grow throughout his NFL career and if he can reach an elite level.
Jake Rill Bleacher Report
If he’s not elite now what is?
I think he has hit the elite level. These guys crack me up
Obviously he has, but these guys will continue to be hypocrits, yeah but he hasn’t been to playoffs, even though they call Herbert elite
On our rushing attack, we now have 1A and 1B, Mostert doesn’t have to carry as much of the load
Not many total yards yesterday, but with no pressure on Tua and air yards coming with ease who cares?
“I’m like a kid in a candy store,” Hill said Sunday, via the Miami Herald. “I’m just having fun.”
Hill has been the beneficiary of a ton of targets from Tua Tagovailoa this season, and it helps that McDaniel’s scheme creates wide-open plays for the speedy wideouts.
Tyreek is the candy store, sure MM has been amazing too, but Tyreek is uncoverable and getting his, while allowing Waddle to garner less attention and get his
Ha
Nice save!
We know what we have in Tua. The rest of the nay-sayers are just sick little puppies. Idiots!😁
Damn that was a great block by Wilson.👍
I love victory Monday’s. I normally don’t have “case of the Monday’s” on those days.
I guess this is Tua’s way of shutting all the doubters right F..K Up. Set new records and watch them scramble for ways to still say he’s bad. Morons!😊
I don’t know if, from my comments yesterday, I’ve been classed as angst-ridden and on the doom train, but to clarify, I’m still in show me mode with the Fins, whilst daring to dream in secret.
A first year HC has come in and installed a new offense which is really, really difficult to defend and is being executed almost to perfection, with each game being a points fest for Tua et al. It is a joy to watch and reminiscent of those Marino days of yore.
All that, however, is being potentially jeopardised by the D and ST letting us down, which could mean that when it matters, in a crucial game at season’s end or in sudden death, we are outscored. My point from yesterday, is that we’ve seen the processes MM insists on, his attention to detail and how methodical he is. I very much suspect strong words have been had behind the scenes and people are on warnings. Does that mean I’d ditch them now? Nope. But I could quite easily see that if things aren’t fixed, MM will step in and I wouldn’t be surprised if the hammer comes down next Monday.
Detroit sacked their DB coach, and the Sky anchor was talking to Peter King at HT of the second Sky game yesterday. He said that the Lions were supercharged yesterday as a result. Of course, this kind of action can back fire too, but MM is not a fence sitter and he won’t tolerate less then the best a player or unit can do. In spite of injuries, the D is currently less than the sum of its parts. If we have aspirations of greatness (remember what MM wrote in his helmet?) we need a top 10 D to play like one and better STs to boot.
Get that and we then have 2 more hurdles to a Championship imho. The first is mental and the second is the elements. Conquer those and the Sky’s the limit!
#Go Fins
Frank Reich out in Indie
UK…mate the one most under pressure is Danny Crossman in my book. ST has been crap all season. Boyer will sort out the D mistakes, this week. If not, the writing will on the wall for a firing at the end of the season. I wouldn’t terminate him ATS.
The thing is, cobber, in the Not For Long, you literally don’t have the luxury of a long slow fix, especially when we have a finite window with this group, built partially with future picks that have been traded to get us here. If we were in a long rebuild, I’d agree, but whilst the D has made some massive stops to keep us in games, truth is, some of them shouldn’t have even been close. I get the other team come to play too and we’ve had injuries, but this D is underperforming and making a lot of mistakes. I like Boyer and he spoke a lot of sense in that interview posted the other day, but I’d be surprised if he isn’t hearing footsteps. And if we keep bending double and one day break at the wrong time, I suspect he’s history.
That was on the cards. He’s a decent coach but changes had to be made with that team.
Cleveland getting 2 good players back during their bye week.
Cleveland Browns

INJURIES
RB Jerome Ford (ankle) designated to return from injured reserve
DE Chase Winovich (hamstring) designated to return from injured reserve
I was thinking it wasn’t Hill and Waddle’s best game. Getting really spoiled.
“Tagovailoa targeted Hill and Waddle 15 times Sunday in Chicago. The result: 12 receptions, 228 yards and two touchdowns. That’s 15.2 yards per target without accounting for the two defensive pass interferences the Cheetah and Penguin drew for a total of 79 yards.”

1 sack 4 tk 2 hits 4 pressures

Pretty solid guess, Rock.
Wilson had 51 yds rushing, 21 receiving, and a TD
Phins are 4 point favorites against the Browns. Pretty much like the last two weeks, except this time the game is at home.
It’s annoying seeing so much about our game yesterday, but it’s all about Fields. I also see a bunch about the missed PI at the end of the game.
How about the BS hold on the Howard INT? We almost certainly go up 3 scores in the 4th if that call isn’t made.
Well, ‘almost certainly’ may be a bit much as it would have needed to be a TD to go up 3 scores, but we were basically already in fg range.
“Dolphins win by about the spread” or “Justing Fields sets NFL QB Rushing Record.” If you were a sportswriter what would your headline be?
Double elevator
I guess you can’t post both?
Why the heck did Smythe look behind him on that 4th down play?
Heard footsteps
Boyer took ever a D destined to fail, once the injuries occurred
Not sure why he can’t play more zone though
What’s the deal with TE after TE torching us, thought Rowe was the master at covering them
-6 Greenie? How many games have there been that cold 2
We are nedua darlings again. Not sure how you have that convo without mentining that the last 3 games were close against not so good teams, but I’m not trying to create click bait.
“nedua” = “media.” Have no idea why, but probably about where you set your fingers up on the key board. 🙂
But I heard he strained his nedua in that game….
LOL — I googled “nedua” and google said “did you mean media.” It must adjust for exactly what I did.
Always wanted a tough guy TE, that can pick up easy shirt first downs and was hard to tackle
Andrews coming out of OU was the prototypical guy, never understood why he wasn’t first one off the board that year
Gesicki is likely done in Miami after the season, don’t really want him back at any price
The catch and run he had yesterday I think really showed his issues. He is just so slow changing direction when he’s running. He caught the ball, and if he immediately turned upfield he’d have picked up probably 7 or 8 yards.
Instead he picked up 3 because he just kept barreling forward right into the defender because he just isn’t capable of changing direction, lol.
He’s been an asset in the red zone, but I think his issues blocking and limitations in the passing game mean he’s gone next year. I think we just let him walk.
Telling no one even wanted to inquire about a trade
I have nothing against Jeff Saturday but i would prefer to see some one with more coaching experience get shots like this
What are you really trying to say?
That they should hire a coach with experience
That seems like an odd choice in-season. Usually it’s a coach already on the team that knows the players and what’s going on.
Without Tua’s emergence Boyer would likely be gone, he should be carrying Tua’s jock strap, where ever he wants it taken
All white next Sunday
https://twitter.com/tomgarfinkel/status/1589661218804899840?s=21
All white just won’t work at Hardrock. Will be a lot of brown in the stands.
Are people pooping in the stands now?
Just saying Browns’ fans wear brown jerseys. We get a lot of visiting fans.
Not disputing what everyone is saying about Boyer, but all teams know by now that they must open their playbook and go for broke to keep up with Tua et al.
Plus teams see their season slipping away and have nothing to lose, so they try anything.
These desperate offenses attack our depleted secondary.
ST coach is a different matter. His unit has no excuse.
Agree with Stanger – there will be lots of brown and orange. Hopefully some day this team will actually have a home field crowd advantage in addition to the heat advantage
You think there will be that many Browns fans there?
Not sure how well the Browns fans travel over all, but the cold weather teams tend have people looking for a long weekend in MIA.
That makes sense.
I don’t mind that much — helps the local economy. This about how much cash the Fest crew put down here for the Fest Game. The folks in purple did the same.
Piggy – why do you care who the Colts hire? He was a well liked guy that played there.
They currently have no one on the team that has called a play in the NFL!
Did the violate the Rooney Rule? Does the rule come into effect on interim hires?
I don’t think so.
I don’t think that rule applies to interim hires
I don’t really care about the colts organization
But I think it’s odd to hire a former player turned analysts who’s only experience is coaching high school.
Fuck that white out shit! I just spent $125 on an aqua jersey!
Miami has the same problem LA does. There is too much other stuff to do and it’s a prime vacation location, so visiting teams’ fans travel well.
Probably not a lot of people that say “Hey honey, where should we go for vacation this year? How about Cleveland? We can also catch a Browns game!”
“Why did you divorce him?”
“He wanted to go to Buffalo in December for vacation!”
When we don’t get as much other colors in the stands is when playing a West Coast team. Chargers, Rams, Niners, Cardinals, Seahawks….. not as much. But then they have nice weather and the flights are real long.
“I was a little salty at first. That was the only place I’ve been for four and a half years. That’s all I knew. And then coming to a place you don’t know, you’re not really familiar with everybody. It was a little scary at first, but that all changed the moment I walked in the building and saw the smiles on the people’s faces. Like how my brothers, how my teammates welcomed me, man. How they were in the locker room, like I’ve been on the team since camp.”
— Jeff Wilson
He played well too.
I’ve been a registered republican my whole life. I’m going to reregister as an independent ASAP. I’ve had probably 30 text messages from various republican party members in the last two weeks- and since they are all different reps, texting ‘stop’ doesn’t end it.
My wife, a registered independent, has had one in the same timespan.
I’ve been getting them too but it’s all local stuff. Even these local candidates are smearing their opponents with the same stuff that is being used on the national level. The accusations of inappropriate books in schools etc.
I did that a couple years ago. Crazy thing is I still get those texts from time to time.
“He just truly unlocked me to be a true No. 1 receiver. If I had to choose any answer to pinpoint on what he has done for me in my career, he has truly turned me into a full receiver who really runs the full route tree. So teams really got to respect that. I’m breaking in, I’m breaking out. I’m breaking short, I’m going deep. It’s not a one-dimensional thing, man. So he’s able to put me off the ball, he’s able to put me on the ball, send me in motion, all kinds of gadget things to help me get open. I’m really thankful to just be in this situation.”
— Tyreek on McDaniel.
That’s what MM does, helps players reach their full potential, many have had career years with him as their position/group coach
^
I’m subscribed to this guy. He’s been really accurate.
Son, sorry. You just got rid of all that water and now this.
Dolphins’ Defense in 2022, NFL ranks
#4 LEAST penalized in the NFL (39)
That’s where the good ends
#4 in most passing yards given up (2,213)
T-#4 in most passing TDs given up (15)
#13 in most rushing yards given up (1,057)
T-#6 in most rushing TDs given up (11)
#6 in most total yards given up (3,270)
#6 in most 1st downs given up (183)
#29 in takeaways (7)
#22 in fumbles recovered (3)
#26 in INTs (4)
#21 in sacks (17)
#28 in QB pressures (49)
#30 in QB pressure % (13.8)
#13 in blitz % (25.3%)
This Defense is anemic. Until we get a healthy X (groins) and Byron back, the scheme has got to change some, Josh Boyer.
More zone coverage and less ‘0-blitz’. A more traditional blitz from the DF7 may yield better results as we no longer have Brandon Jones available… and we spent a 1st rounder on Brandon Chubb for a reason.
Byron is never coming back. He has played his last game for us
Has that been reported?
No but we are past the halfway point and there is no indication that he had been cleared to even practice
Gotcha!

They fly in for the game, or maybe some drive. Clevland people are West Coast FLA.

On injury report from Sunday – that was the best that we’ve come out of a game for a while. One of those double takes that you have to look at the injury report like wait, what? Hunter Long is currently in the concussion protocol but that was the only one.

Coach says one of the coolest things about Tyreek is that he never takes shortcuts or the easy route. He doesn’t short change the process.

And the cameras picking up Coach asking Fields to stop: I just wanted him to stop scrambling. It was pretty irritating because he didn’t listen at all. He didn’t take the coaching, he says in jest.
Our defense definitely has to clean some things up and the pass rush has to pick up their game.
NO DOUBT!!!
Chubb looked okay but didn’t do much overall. I give him a break on that because he got traded, had a long travel, gets with the team has some practices and then travels again to Chicago. I want to see him amp up his game this week though.
I’m with ya 100% on that… and I want to see Jaelan Phillips actually look like he did last season. He’s been a huge disappointment for us this year and thus far.
Phillips has actually been playing well he’s just not getting the sacks. There’s more to his game than just that. He’s really good setting the edge and he never stops playing – he chases plays all over the field.
Phillips certainly doesn’t suck, but it seems as though he’s hit a sophomore slump of sorts.
It’s not like he got 16 sacks last season (only had 8), and he’s likely not going to match that production this year. Certainly, sacks don’t tell the tale of pressures… but he’s not even doing that well this season.
Disagree. Sometimes sacks come in bunches. He also blocked a punt that resulted in a TD.
Fields is an anomaly we’re better prepared to stop Chubb next week than Fields. Hopefully I don’t eat my words. Cleveland is a tough matchup for us if Garrett goes off but if we can score early and often and make them throw we’ll destroy Brissett.
Lots of games this season have been competitive across the league. I don’t see many dominant teams this year except for maybe Philly.
M13, another thing that I see is teams are getting the ball out quickly because they know we’re coming and we’ve had a lot of opportunities to make tackles on short routes but we’re missing them and giving them 1st downs. Our open field tackling has been sub par. Our interior pass rush has been struggling. I see us getting pressure from the edges but we’re allowing QBs to step up or run. That’s why I said our pass rush has to pick it up because it’s not just about the edge rushers.
Our backup secondary from the PS and off the street are competing but they’re not top level talents. It seems we have 2 or 3 new guys playing every week. That’s hard to do.
Lol…MM blamed his beat reporters for not telling him about the Chicago wind…said a gust of wind blew Sanders’ kick off the mark.
Sanders kicked it wide with the wind. I was like dude you gotta kick that to the opposite goal post and let the wind sneak it in.
We shouldn’t have even been kicking a FG they blew that opportunity for a TD. Too bad because that would have been an early back breaker especially with us scoring coming out of halftime.
Agreed that drive became a clusterfuck. I thought we were going to bury them right there.
Agree with both you….even MM said there were technical issues they needed to work on…lol
We have some things to clean up in a few areas but it’s a lot better working on that at 6-3. 🙂
3 in a row and two straight on the road, I’ll take ‘em any way we get ‘em.
Exactly!
Fields was Cam yesterday and we always had trouble with Cam. Maybe not quite as physical but every bit as determined as a runner. He was tough but not tough enough to carry the day fortunately.
Fields has elite physical ability as a runner. If he cleans up his passing he’s going to be a tough guy to defend for years to come.
6-3 is a good record to have at this point of the season, for sure.
It ain’t perfect; and funny thing, alluding to Ken’s point, putting it all together, we could/would be scary good.
Jim Irsay is soooooo much worse than out awful owner.
Not much has gone right for the Colts this year. It appears that they have blown their window to get to the promise land. It started with a new QB every year and then they lost some of their top players.
Does he tamper with Brady too?
The Bears are also the top rushing team in the league led by Fields. We shut down their backs but Fields went off on us.
He is absolutely tanking by firing everyone who knows the playbook on offense and putting Saturday a TV personality in charge. Sucking for luck again, but wont have to defend himself from losing a draft pick.
