The Dolphins enter their BYE week in excellent shape with a 7-3 record good for 1st in the AFC East. The Bills lost last week to the Minnesota Vikings in OT to fall to 6-3, while the NY Jets had their BYE week and are also 6-3. The New England Patriots were also on their BYE week last week and are last in the AFC East at 5-4. This is a very competitive division, and at least at the moment, my early predictions that the Jets may overtake the Patriots is true at the moment. The Jets and Patriots have a showdown this Sunday in Foxborough at 1PM. This is a huge divisional game, they all are really. If the Jets can beat the Patriots in their house the Jets could move up from the #6 seed and give them a 3-1 division record as well as a 6-3 conference record. It would be better for the Dolphins if the Patriots win but I like the Jets in this matchup.
In Week 12, when we return from our BYE week, we play the Texans at home at 1PM. It’s possible, we can have some familiar names back in the lineup, but as of now, nothing is certain. I would think at a minimum that OL Austin Jackson should be back, but odds are he would just be in the rotation, not starting, RT Brandon Shell has played well and OG Robert Jones looked just fine at LG. DB Byron Jones has not yet been activated off of the IR and there have been no indications that he will be. Still, that remains a possibility. The rest must surely be appreciated by all players but especially LT Terron Armstead who has played brilliantly for us this season despite having a painful toe injury and has been the LT we have missed since, well, Laremy Tunsil. Also, guys like Keion Crossen and Kader Kohou can hopefully get healthier and make that secondary more whole.
The following week we have a difficult game against the SF 49ers in San Francisco. It will be a homecoming for RB’s Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson, as well as WR’s Trent Sherfield and River Cracraft. After the Niners we stay on the left coast to play the AFC West LA Chargers. After those 2 road games, we finish up our road trip back on the right coast to play our division rival Buffalo Bills. Our last 3 games of the season feature 2 home games, one against the visiting NFC North Green Bay Packers, then a battle in Foxborough against the Patriots and then back home for the season finale against the NY Jets.
I feel like we need to stay healthy, first and foremost, and if we succeed in doing that, keeping #1 and all of his weapons healthy, we can play with anyone. Our defense is starting to play better, and hopefully the more Chubb practices our defense, the better he is, and he makes everyone else better too. Phillips is already seeing results, and that should continue. LB Brennan Scarlett is now healthy and should be back with the team. This is the time to make our run. Finish strong and we should be near the top in the AFC. If we take care of our division rivals and possibly take down the Bills a second time, and sweep the Pats and split with the Jets, we should be AFC East Champs. That of course won’t be easy but just the fact that I can now type this and not feel like it’s ridiculous at all is quite pleasing to me. We’re a good team, a high flying offense, and Jeff Wilson has added another dimension to our offense. We’re a legitimate rushing threat with Wilson and Mostert. The pressure is off Mostert now, he’s never been a high volume carry guy, so he can stay fresh and give a nice punch when Wilson is out. I know some of you think Byron Jones will never suit up and play in a Dolphins uniform this season, I’m still holding out hope. I have no idea what kind of shape he’ll be in and if he can even help us, but he’s always been a solid cover corner, and what team couldn’t use thew boost of getting a player back of his caliber healthy and fresh near the end of the season? Let’s hope!

“I feel like we need to stay healthy, first and foremost, and if we succeed in doing that, keeping #1 and all of his weapons healthy, we can play with anyone.”
100%
In the past 20 years, even when we’ve had decent seasons, I’d look at the schedule and say to myself “can’t see us winning this game, or that game – unless everything goes our way” usually 5 or 6 games on the schedule minimum.
When I look at our remaining schedule this year, the only game I don’t like our chances is in Buffalo. Every other game, I look at the matchup and say “they should be worried about whether or not they can beat us, not the other way around.”
It’s been a long time. We deserve this, lol.
Nice write Mike E but where is the bi-week bi babe? We give Son one job 😡😉
He’s still got time to do it. I saw it wasn’t done so made sure we had a new one. He can get that in anytime in the next few days. He might be busy. I’m home sick, tested negative for COVID but whatever it is, it’s been kicking my ass and stealing my sleep all week. I’m exhausted. I just need a good night’s sleep, I have work tomorrow.
Feel better
Thanks Hulk
yehhh
This is why I think the old warning that goes like “as soon as teams figure out what they’re doing, they’ll find ways to beat it and adjust.”
There’s no “it” with McDaniel. No one thing we do.
He changes what the game plan is for each new opponent (listening Flo?).
And he even changes “it” during the game,
as Baltimore and Detroit found out after getting big leads.
Kong – The difference is we didn’t even belong on the field with the Bills the last few years. This is very different. We can score with them, and if our defense plays well enough, we can beat them again.
I suppose a poor weather, cold, windy, maybe rain or snow could further make it more difficult for us, but we belong on that field with them and can beat them, just like they can beat us
Yep, totally agree.
Great piece Mike E. Hard not to be excited about the team at this point. “We can play with anyone” is right. But shouldn’t get too far ahead of ourselves. Vegas still has us as the 8th most likely team to win the Bowl.
That’s OK, I think that’s fair. We have to earn that spot, and that means playing well all season, just keep doing what we’re doing.
“Another rookie cornerback who deserves a place here, Kader Kohou has had to play a ton this year due to all of the injuries in Miami’s secondary. And he has performed well. He is currently PFF’s No. 14-graded cornerback this season (76.5), as he has yet to allow a single touchdown on 417 snaps. Kohou has let up a few big plays in the passing game, but he has performed exceptionally well for a rookie undrafted free agent.”
— PFF’s Marcus Mosher (even if he ranks Kader 23rd on his best CB list)
The good Steven Smith
The 49ers game is weird because, not only is it the grasshopper returning to the monastery to test what he has learned in the world against the master,
but
the 49ers happen to already be set up with a strong defense that is designed to stop an offense like ours. And they know exactly what that offense looks like.
Unless …
See my post above …
Maybe McDaniel will have something special planned
to go against the defense he knows so well.
And the student has become the master
Good job, Mike E.
Above and beyond the call
to give us such good content while under the weather.

I especially liked several quotes from Mike’s write up,
such as
“The Bills lost last week”
“The New England Patriots are last in the AFC East.”
and especially
“The Dolphins enter their BYE week in excellent shape with a 7-3 record good for 1st in the AFC East.”
Those were some beautiful pieces of writing, man.
LOL – No window dressing either, straight facts man!
Power rankings round up from Pouport. They all have us at 3, 4 or 5 except for Sports Illustrated, which had the Phins at #9.

Cav, I feel the same. Yeah, we play 2 west coast road games back to back and both teams have winning records at 5-4. But look at the team’s records who both teams beat. I think both only beat one decent team.
This is the NFL and “any given Sunday”, so, just one game at a time.
Yep, and not saying we win both of those because it’s tough to go across the country and play a couple of games, but when I look at each game individually I like our chances.
If we get 1 of 2, that’s a good west coast trip in my book.
Nice write Mike, and feel better.
Thanks Tim
If you look hard enough you can see Josh Allen throwing a pick
and to think that could continue for the next couple days. Damn!
And to think we could had the pleasure of watching two teams play in those conditions…
I hope we see more domination next game so they can get more backup players some work and give others less snaps and rest for the 3 week road trip.

Good news
That is good news
Why is that good?
Better on the knees
Player have been complaining about the field there for a long time, and we play there every year.
The league has to make all the surfaces better for the players. They’re all about player health and then they’re not.
I love this quote and the implications from PFT on the power rankings round up
The offense is becoming more and more unstoppable. The question is whether it will travel in January. Maybe it won’t have to.
Maybe we WON’T have to, because we will be the #1 seed with HFA throughout the playoffs!!!
Just win out, baby
And hope the Chiefs lose a game
And McDaniel should be coach of the year, but I still think the media and their handling of the Tua concussion will keep him from winning it
Ryan Clark is now trying to bribe his way onto the Bandwagon
by torturing Steve A(sshole) Smith.
Funny.
I don’t remember any teams trying to

“Zigzag for Zach” or even
“Hyperventilate for Herbert,”
but I do remember
“Tank for Tua.”

But I thought artificial turf is what tears up players’ knees and ankles.
It’s plastic on top of asphalt.
They found that posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tears occurred almost 3 times as often on turf than on grass.

The artificial grass is better than the current turf they have.

Only Natural Grass Can Level The NFL’s Playing Field
Specifically, players have a 28% higher rate of non-contact lower extremity injuries when playing on artificial turf. Of those non-contact injuries, players have a 32% higher rate of non-contact knee injuries on turf and a staggering 69% higher rate of non-contact foot/ankle injuries on turf compared to grass.

Naples, do you understand what the change is about or did you miss half of it?
They aren’t replacing natural grass with turf. They are replacing turf with artificial grass. it’s a better surface, unless you think the internet knows better than the players that play on this stuff.
They’re replacing the turf with turf?
artificial with artificial?
just a newer model?
pffft
still not real grass
“Athletes remain concerned about injuries on artificial turf.”
Grass grows well in NJ; it’s the Garden State.
Point being it’s still better than the crap they’ve had there. I dont disagree that grass is the best surface. I dont think anyone would disagree on that.
There are so many different varieties in so many different levels of quality it’s very difficult to make a blanket statement like that. Artificial grass is longer than turf and more aesthetically pleasing but other than that it really depends on the manufacturer and the specifications of each product.
The Meadowlands has been known and talked about by players as one of the worst surfaces in the nfl for years. If they’re replacing it, it had better be to upgrade it. To me, that just seems obvious in this conversation.
I dont need to know the specifics of manufacturer and grass length to assume that. If course, the jest are involved so maybe I shouldn’t assume anything…
Trent Dilfer on Tua:
“All of them can drop back seven steps and hit a house with the ball. Some of them can hit the door. A few can even hit the doorknob. Tua can hit the keyhole.”
Yep!
Let’s not forget he’s only in his 3rd season and he’s had to deal with quite a few bumps in the road. Most QBs are at their best 5+ years into their careers. Not best season, just better at playing the position then they were early in their careers because they learned so much by playing lots of games.
First half of the season has been amazing to watch.
That was awesome!!! Let’s keep it going. Fins Up!!!
I WANT TO THANK all those who “take care” of this site for permitting me to write and list what I did at the bottom of the last page. I am hoping that today’s events in Washington mark a positive turn for our country.
I saw it but didn’t want to turn it into a big discussion. Lots of the idiots who breached the Capitol have already been convicted and they’re in prison. There will be more.
i HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT, TIM.
There have already been convictions. It not my opinion, it’s fact.
Carrying on from the last blog, I maintain that eventually, every NFL team will have a domed stadium, in order to host a Super Bowl and the revenue that it will bring to the host city.
And with that stated, there should no longer be any excuses for using artificial turf or artificial grass. If it’s domed, there are absolutely zero reasons to not use official dirt and grass.
These billionaire owners can afford to do as much, so do NOT pass it on to the taxpayers as Steve Ross tried to do.
Real grass needs good sunlight and natural drainage. That’s not easy to do in a dome. Hard Rock has Bermuda Grass that works well in South Florida. That won’t work everywhere.
Hmm… interesting. I’m not familiar with ‘Bermuda Grass’.
Okay, how about retractable roofs? That could provide the sunlight necessary. Drainage? It’s most achievable.
Sunlight and heat drains water from grass naturally. South Florida has lots of that. Many other states don’t get it on that level.
Absolutely agree. Like Tim said above, player safety, yeah right. If they cared, they’d shell out whatever is necessary for the playing surface.
Thank you, sir!
THIS OFFENSE reminds me of the offense of the last Dolphin team to go to the Super Bowl. Marino had just DESTROYED the NFL record for TD passes in a season (the old record was 36, he tossed a then Mind-boggling 48 touchdown passes) plus we had a decent running game plus an O-Line rated in the NFL’s Top 10!! Only a truly great 49ers team, led by Joe Montana and a roster of several future Hall-of-Famers, could stop Marino and his pals.
WE ARE ALL HOPING THIS IS THE TEAM THAT GETS US BACK TO TRUE GREATNESS!!
Yep! Hill and Waddle are reminding us of Duper and Clayton. They’re on an even bigger pace except for TDs.
Old Dolfan
Sir
You posted your thoughts at the end of the last blog.
It did not get seen by many, if any,
because almost everyone had already switched to the new blog.
With utmost respect, sir, I will copy that post of yours and paste it to this blog,

I’d read it right after it was posted and chose not to reply… VERY POLITICAL/POLARIZING.
Don’t care if it’s reposted, but beware of the fallout.
Bottom line is you can’t breach the Capitol and threaten elected officials. It’s like robbing a bank. It’s common sense. You’re going to prison.
How could it be polarizing? Does anyone here support the Jan 6 rioters?
Only one person was attacked and killed that day: Ashli Babbitt.
The Capitol Police opened the doors and let the so-called “protesters” inside.
Trump WARNED about a possible event at the Capitol, and Nancy Pelosi killed the request to add additional security.
Why won’t the DOJ investigate the liberal who planted the pipe bombs?
Why won’t the DOJ investigate Ray Epps?
It was a TRAP!
There are MANY MORE FACTS that point to it being a liberal trap for DJT.
M13, the people who breached the Capitol were stupid. You can rally and protest but you cannot enter in threatening ways. End of story.
You’re on the wrong side of this influenced by far right and Trump supporter propaganda.
I don’t think Trump incited it, his supporters did because they have a cult mentality and they love their King. What was the result of it? Now some of them will be in prison.
My bad — didn’t realize someone on the board would think Jan 6 was a “a liberal trap for DJT.” Have a feeling you are an outlier on that one though.
Here’s all the stats you could ask for about how the Phins have done in the first 10 games.
Scoring: 7th – 25.2 PPG
Passing: 3rd – 293.8 passing YPG
Rushing: 29th – 97.7 rushing YPG
Total O: 3rd – 391.5 total YPG
First Downs: 8th – 21.6 first downs per game
Penalties: t-23rd – 6.3 penalties per game
Turnover margin: t-21 – (-2)
Sacks allowed: t-6th – 1.8 sacks allowed per game
Scoring D: t-22 – 24.1 PPG
Pass D: 22nd – 239.8 passing YPG
Rush D: 15th – 116.9 rushing YPG
Sacks: t-21 – 2 sacks per game
The best stat is 7-3 W/L. 🙂
Isn’t it cool to be in the mix and not fighting out of a hole after 10 games?
HELL YEAH, MAN!!! 😀

Bro, the protesters didn’t “breach” the Capitol… the Capitol police invited them inside. Yes, there is video evidence of as much… albeit the Pravda West (MSM and Big Tech) have tried to suppress as much.
We all have the same intel as you do. So the Capitol police invited them inside to rampage about and spin around in Pelosi’s chair smoking cigars and shit. You really believe that?
You know would have avoided all of that? Not going there and doing any of that. Dumb life decision.
Ashli Babbitt is not a hero. She is a criminal.
That’s an opinion and I don’t agree with it. She was unarmed, for one. We don’t shoot to kill unarmed citizens.
She was first through the BREACH. At the head of a screaming mob that was chanting kill the vice president !! I’m gonna take a break.
In the video Herd posted about our season so far, two of my favorite bits were; Sam Madison talking to the DBs saying slow down your heart rate and let’s go, and Lamar Jackson hugging Tua saying keep balling man.

Herd – That video was fantastic!! I loved watching it, will probably watch it again, and again
The protesters did indeed breach the capitol.
They even used flagpoles to assault police.
There is clear video evidence of that.
They chanted violence against the VP and the Speaker of the House.
That’s treason and sedition.
There is nothing honorable or patriotic about that. It’s the reverse.
And there is nothing ambiguous about what happened.
Quite honestly, I don’t think it even matters what you or I think. It’s in the courts where we don’t have a say. Thus, there’s no reason to discuss it further.
I’ve said my peace, and I’m done with it.
I don’t like discussing politics here because it causes a division between us Phin fans.

I can absolutely find Conservative issues worthy of consideration and even believe in some myself, but attacking Democracy is not Conservative politics; it’s rebellion against my beloved country, the Rule of Law, and everything our country was built upon and stands for.
We cannot permit a king. We shouldn’t worship a cult leader.
Deciding how to spend our tax dollars, how to build up our economy, and how to govern 350 million people with the least amount of interference and the most amount of support and protection are what politics should be about.
But we should discuss these things without attacking the very fiber and institutions of our nation, which is the greatest beacon of freedom and example of democracy in history.
We are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, not a BANANA REPUBLIC (aka: “democracy”).
I can’t say that enough times! THAT is what makes us the last beacon of freedom to the world. Democracy? Like North Korea? Like Iraq? Like Iran? Like China?
Don’t think too hard about the matter, just know that world dictators have used the word “democracy” as though it means freedom. NO, it does NOT!!!

JUST SAW the Press Conference which, in essence, announced a special prosecutor for the events of January 6 and the events related to some missing documents. I’m of the opinion that the sooner we complete this investigation, the better it is for our country. I have VERY strong opinions about those who went outside the law to assault our Congressional security forces while they tried to hunt down and kill our Vice President and our Speaker of the House (note that was one person from each party).
Trying to overthrow the results of a free election is outright TREASON. All you proud boys and bully boys need to be brought to swift, severe, justice. These felons MUST PAY for bringing severe injuries and death to our congressional security forces. And they MUST PAY for trashing parts of the House of Representatives and Senate offices.
All this to support an individual who was quoted by FOX NEWS as saying “those troops who died at the allied Normandy invasion were a “bunch of losers.”
———————————–
I was actually hoping we could de-politicize some of the political talk on this website and other websites that cater to sports fans and athletic teams. But today’s announcements must not go unnoticed. They were made necessary because by someone who wanted to circumvent the electoral process. TO REPEAT, those bullies (some of whom have already been punished) are NOT PATRIOTS,despite their claims to the contrary. They ARE opponents of democracy and deserve to be treated as the traitors they really are.
I have served my country when called. I and my family who moved here from Canada did so because we believed in this country. And I put my ass on the line to prove it, as have millions of other legal immigrants who have stood tall when called upon.
WE DID NOT COME HERE to idly stand by and watch a bunch of hooligans and misfits trash our capitol because they believe (without adequate proof) that the election was stolen from them.
I hope the new special prosecutor sees to it that these felonious traitors get exactly what they deserve.
Tua’s overall pff grade is now 91.5
I love pff when it supports my eye test.
NAPLES; THANKS for the favor. And thanks for saying, more eloquently than I could, what happened on January 6.

Also, to quote another author, “Tho’ I may disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Orderly discourse, not violence, is the proper and constitutionally guaranteed way to settle these kinds of issues.

What makes me sad is both sides of the political aisle in our country are simultaneously trying to destroy the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They’re both targeting the 1st Amendment. The first one.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
MORE VOTES for the Libertarian candidates (if any) might be one way to express your dissatisfaction. I’ve voted for several, especially in Texas.
I have voted libertarian many times at all levels. I always had people say wasted vote but my view was why would I vote for something I don’t support. I no longer divulge who I voted for. It’s not worth it.
TIM; only when asked, I’ll reply,”If you vote for shit, don’t complain when your candidate proves to be “shit.” You got EXACTLY WHAT YOU VOTED FOR!
Exactly and the majority of people for the same thing over and over and then complain about it. LOL
Those were great Phindog!
Glad you enjoyed 🐕
One of my favorite covers and they did this on the bus.
Good stuff doggie! Music is the great elixir.
I have no idea what you are talking about.
We are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, not a BANANA REPUBLIC (aka: “democracy”).
“Banana Republic” was a sarcastic insult for “Third World” (in this case Central American) dictatorships. The sarcasm was that there were no real democratic processes; the people were duped (or bullied) into believing el Presidente was democratically elected, and anyone smart enough or brave enough to point out the elements of dictatorship was “disappeared,” meaning killed.
I can’t say that enough times! THAT is what makes us the last beacon of freedom to the world. Democracy? Like North Korea? Like Iraq? Like Iran? Like China?
Absolutely no one thinks North Korea is democratic! That is a textbook example of “strong-arm dictatorship.” There is not even an attempt to portray the North Korean government as democratic. That dangerous psychopath abhors democracy.
Iran is a Theocracy! Although Persia has had moments of democracy in its history, it has a long tradition of autocracy or even monarchy. Today there are trappings of democracy, and millions of Iranians yearn for democracy, but power is wielded brutally by religious leaders who rule by terror and murder in the name of God and through the fear instilled by ultra conservative Islamist thugs.
Iraq was a dictatorship under Saddam Hussein, not a democracy. Today it is a chaotic mess although many of its people are heroically trying to become a democracy.
China is dominated by a brutally totalitarian regime running a Communist economy. There is no one in their government claiming to be or even want to be democratic.
Why or on what basis could you call these places Democracies? They are the antithesis of the principles of freedom, self-determination, and the pursuit of happiness which define our beautiful American Democracy.
Don’t think too hard about the matter, just know that world dictators have used the word “democracy” as though it means freedom. NO, it does NOT!!!
Democracy is defined as “a system of government by the whole population instead of a small group or family, with leaders voted on by all the eligible members of a nation state, and those voters agree to be governed through elected representatives.”
No one thinks democracy is a synonym of freedom, but freedom is one of the tenets and glorious by-products of self-rule. WE the people are in charge in a democracy, not the wealthy alone, not one religious group over others, not just one segment of the country, etc. and we therefore grant ourselves freedom, opportunity, and pride in our achievements.
People who think the way to get a message across or want to change something is to be violent and destroy property is not liberty. It’s primitive bullshit!!!!
And here is Josh clowning around with his family.. Too funny 😄
Holy smokes, I am seriously high. I’m going to watch The Two Towers extended version.

A bunch of “meh” college games tomorrow. At least until Saturday night USC at UCLA and maybe Utah at Oregon.
Well I guess I missed some football, music, and BULLSHIT!
Maybe the real issue is because of our preconceived prejudices we can watch the same video and see different content?
This has always amazed me!
It has nothing to do with preconceived prejudices. If you’re seeing different content, it’s because you entered the wrong watch party, because I definitely put on The Two Towers.
LOL
lol
I don’t know what these numbers mean,
but it’s nice to have someone in this conversation.
from NFL.com
At publishing, these quarterbacks are the Caesars Sportsbook’s top four favorites for league MVP: Mahomes (+120), Allen (+500), Tagovailoa (+500) and Hurts (+550).
While you guys are talking about January, in November, the Bills are having a hard time escaping their shithole
The game was changed on Thursday evening
I don’t know why they waited to Saturday morning to go to Detroit knowing a huge storm was coming in
It’s a 270 mile drive to Detroit even if they can’t charter a flight
But why on earth a billion dollar franchise didn’t charter a flight immediately Thursday night is beyond me
Were they planning to fly spirit? Wtf is going on in Buffalo?
Best stadium design
Speaking of kickers names, the UCF kicker is named Colton Boomer. He’s pretty good too.
Nice!
Fuck the Bills!
Well oinking said
Mike E : nice write up as usghe
suppose a poor weather, cold, windy, maybe rain or snow could further make it more difficult for us, but we belong on that field with them and can beat them, just like they can beat us… ^^^^
The way our running game has developed, especially with adding Wilson , a cold weather snow game MAY actually play to our advantage.. the only guy running on their team that concerns me is JA…
Thanks Toba – that’s true, I’m not impressed with their run game either, but like you said, Allen is the X factor
Son, are you watching the UCF game? I am not getting it here.
It’s on ESPN 2 here
This dude has a list of names to replace Sanders
Don’t know a thing about them or about the commentator
But based on the value of the names and my accompanying photo post on Twitter every time a fg is made, I’m rooting for Fry
They better not sign Dicker or I’ll have fight off suspensions on Twitter
Yeah, you won’t want to have to dicker with that…
Wtf TAMU
Dude won’t be able to hear the snap count all game.
Let’s hope it wasn’t the center
FSU rolling
Nice writeup Mike. I agree that remaining healthy is priority 1.
They’ve almost made it to the plane
Now let’s see if they can avoid fumbling the snap in their own endzone
They actually get to stay in Detroit for thanksgiving
Great video Herd. Got my heart pumping
I gotta give a shout out to GM Grier. He’s been impressive IMO
^ Gotta a ton of work to do in the offseason though.
But we’re competitors now so it’s all worth it.
Since the only RB we have on contract right now in 2023 is Ingold, I can’t see us bringing all of them back.
I see us trying to extend Mostert and Wilson but I think Gaskin and Ahmed go elsewhere to fight for a job. I could even see divisional foes try to sign Gaskin or both to get info on our playbook.
With that in mind, I have been looking at RB’s for the draft who would fit. Still leaning CB in the 2nd round, I am looking at RB’s who might be there in the 3rd.
My #1 (for our system) possibly available in the 3rd is Michigan’s Blake Corum. Dude is a short powerhouse bowling ball. He is 5’8 210. His short size and compact build make him hard to tackle. He has VERY good vision and makes quick decisions. He ran 4.40 when he got to Michigan.
Today, he has 17 carries for 103, 1 TD and 2 rec for 39 yards all in the first half.
His 4.40 speed shows up on the field.
He is smart and had a 4.0 GPA at one point.
He dinged up his knee at the end of the first half but did come back and have 1 carry for 5 yards in the second half. Now standing on the sideline so it was apparently nothing serious.
The Illinois RB Chase Brown is a decent prospect also.
Illinois trying to get the upset in Michigan. Up 17-13 in 4th quarter.
Sounds like Kader is getting some swag on.

Kader Kohou, the undrafted rookie corner from Texas A&M Commerce, was asked the other day what he would have said if somebody had told him in March that he would not only make an NFL team but would be starting for a playoff contender.
“I would have been like: I agree with you. I have been working for this for a long time. You put in a lot of work so you shouldn’t be surprised when you get fruits of your labor.”
Damn, Michigan in FG range
Damn, FG good
Wow Michigan 🙂 next weeks game though is the main one.
I always want them to lose. lol Kind of like the Pats or Bills type of thing.
What you think about RB Corum?
I didn’t realize CB Justin Bethel was 32 years old. I knew he had been around the NFL but didn’t think that long.
Bills fans are good ones.
Sounds like he hit the truck. lol
Yeah it did, but dude was there. Let’s hope Spencer Brown’s truck was Ram Tough.
Notre Dame’s OLB/Edge Isaiah Foskey becomes ND’s all-time sack leader passing up Justin Tuck.
Nice heavy lake affect snow squall hitting ND stadium. Should only last about 20 min but still cool to see them playing in it.
Can’t believe they didn’t shovel the lines during the timeout.
I hate wintertime on the FL panhandle. It’s 48 degrees and raining.
Let’s go Terrapins!
Kong – Was that Lord of the Rings Two Towers you watched last night?
Yep, all 4 hours of it, lol.
LOL – that was my least favorite of the trilogy. I liked the other 2 a lot more. Not sure why. Did they add additional scenes to it?
The extended versions of all 3 movies are each 30-45 minutes longer. It really adds a lot to the story, but they all clock in around 3 1/2 to 4 hrs long.
We did Fellowship last weekend, Two Towers this weekend, and we’ll finish up with Return of the King next weekend. We have fun watching them every few years or so, but man, they take some commitment.
Damn, I have never seen any of them.
Notre Dame true freshman CB Benjamin Morrison will be one to keep an eye on. He’s started every game as a freshman and had 3 INT’s today giving him 5 on the year. He also had a 96 yard pick 6 in their upset win over Clemson.
Guess I jinxed Maryland. lol
“With all due respect to Ogbah, who I like as a guy and as a player, it’s not like he was giving the Dolphins a whole lot this year, so I don’t think the injury will hurt very much. I do see the Dolphins likely signing another defensive end to replace him because they’re light on big guys up front and they don’t need another D-tackle. I’m not a betting man (even though it’s fun), but I’m inclined to think we will see Byron Jones at some point this year. That’s just a guess, though, not based on actual information.”

That’s just a guess, though, not based on actual information.

Sounds like his whole statement is just this and not based on actual information.
Click baiter.
Dayum….harsh, Doc!
Ogbah was banged up before he suffered the season ending injury. It’s never a good thing to lose good players. But the team has to play with who they have.
