OK, so now it’s actually official – Vic Fangio is the Miami Dolphins Defensive Coordinator. Miami Dolphins writer/analyst Travis Wingfield recently interviewed Vic Fangio. The last question Wingfield posed to our new DC was “What do you hope to accomplish here in Miami?” I loved his answer, and for some reason, perhaps his age lends more credibility when saying what he said, but it was inspiring and believable that this is his aim. Fangio replied . . . “I want to take this franchise to heights that this franchise had been at in years past, and I think the NFL is a better league when the Miami Dolphins are contenders”. What I hope that Fangio can bring, and it would go hand on hand with making the Dolphins contenders, is consistency from our defense. Our defense has been inconsistent from game to game, even quarter to quarter. We’re all aware injuries to our secondary really hurt us, and I think nearly all of us felt that running the same scheme which required so much from your secondary, which was previously ran by two excellent cover corners in Xavien Howard and Byron Jones, with help from 2 excellent safeties in Jevon Holland Holland and Byron Jones, along with excellent nickel back Nik Needham, was bereft of 3/5’s of that unit. To further weaken the unit, Xavien Howard was dealing with groin injuries for at least half the season, and never regained his former level of play. To ask undrafted free agents and ST’s players converted to active duty to play at the level that the squad did last season was foolish, and no adjustments were made to help the depleted secondary.
We know we have some talent on defense, some top talent, some gritty lunchpail guys, and some young players on the cusp of becoming all pros. I think our best, and most consistent player has been DT Christian Wilkins. He’s had back to back magnificent seasons and has to be considered one of the best DT/DE’s in the NFL. In the secondary, last season it looked like Jevon Holland was going to be a perennial all pro, this past season was somewhat of a letdown. Regardless of this past season, I believe Holland can be an all pro safety. For the lunchpail crew, no player on the Dolphins exemplifies that better than DT/DE Zach Sieler. Sieler is in the final year of his contract and he’s a player I hope the Dolphins lock up for a new 4 or 5 year contract. Jaelan Phillips is an outstanding physical specimen who appears to be ready to break out and have a pro bowl season. Despite slipping to 7 sacks this season compared to 8.5 sacks 2 seasons ago, he was always around the opposing QB and his 25 QB hits easily led the team. We traded for Bradley Chubb, and he’s one player that will have to do better in aqua and orange. I believe Fangio will accomplish that, in fact, I believe Fangio will have our front 7 playing better than ever. Relying on DB’s blitzing to get pressure will not be a staple of this defense.
We definitely have work to do on the front 7. The one linebacker we had last season that may best fit the Fangio defensive scheme is Elandon Roberts. Roberts is a run stuffing downhill linebacker who makes the tackle. He’s a stout guy in the middle, but Roberts is an UFA, so we’ll see how much the Dolphins want him back, and whether he wants to come back. In the 3-4 set up, we have LDE Christian Wilkins, NT Raekwon Davis, RDE Emmanuel Ogbah, LOLB jaelan Phillips, LILB ?, RILB Jerome Baker, and ROLB Bradley Chubb. I think Raekwon Davis needs to either step up and become a better player, or he may be moved aside. I’m not sure that depth guy John Jenkins is the answer either, but Fangio will probably be looking to get the most of Davis. At 6’7 330, he has to make more of an impact. Countless times our outside rushers flushed the QB but the middle had no pressure allowing the QB to step up. If Davis was able to collapse the pocket occasionally, our outside guys all would have had double digit sacks. We need an interior guy to do that. Raekwon Davis is also in his walk year contractually, so maybe that will help him find the fire to have a better year. Back to Elandon Roberts, he had a great season and far exceeded my expectations. I’d be more than happy to have him back.
Ditching the Cover zero will help our secondary, enable us to play more zone defense, and take the pressure off individual coverage assignments. No longer will our DB’s be on an island by themselves. None of us have any clue as to whether there’s any chance that CB Byron Jones will play for our team next season. He has a huge dead cap hit of over $14M, about $10M can be deferred to the next season of we cut Jones after June 1st. I don’t know where relations are between Jones and the Miami front office, but a healthy Byron Jones has always been a good player for our team, and if they want him back, I’m good with it. S Brandon Jones looks well into his recovery from his ACL surgery November 6th, 2022, and he should be ready to go next season. Jevon Holland I’m sure will return to form with Jones as his tandem mate. Another interesting situation to watch is whether or not we’re able to re-sign NB Nik Needham. I love the guy, he stepped up every time we needed him but was also injured this season. one week prior to S Brandon Jones going down. Needham suffered a torn achilles, which is a more difficult surgery to bounce back from, but if he’s healthy and ready to go, I hope he considers coming back here.
We have 5 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, none in round 1. We have ZERO RB’s on our current roster, but there’s a good chance we’ll re-sign one or both of the 2022 tandem of Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson. I think there’s a very good chance we draft a RB, and pick up a few as UDFA’s after the draft as well. As far as what position will get the first pick, (#51) Round 2, that remains to be seen. Vic Fangio will undoubtedly like to use it on a defensive player, and HC Mike McDaniel on an offensive player, but Chris Grier will do his best for the team. Last year’s draft yielded very little, although we only had 4 picks, one 3rd RD pick (LB Channing Tindall), one 4th RD pick (WR Erik Ezukanma), and two 7th RD picks, (LB Cameron Goode and QB Skylar Thompson). Of the 4, only QB Skylar Thompson saw any considerable playing time, and only due to injuries. I’ll hope that at least 2 of them make a stronger showing this season, especially Tindall and Ezukanma. Perhaps McDaniel has an aversion to playing rookies, but Ezukanma has a clear path with both Trent Sherfield and River Cracraft being UFA’s. TE is definitely another position we will need to address with the almost certain departure of Mike Gesicki. Supposedly we love Tanner Conner, but I didn’t see anything this past season to validate that, but I’m also not present at practices, where he must have shown promise. We need to draft well, restructure some contracts, and choose wisely (and thriftily) in free agency.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

I would love to see a DeSantis/Haley or Tim Scott ticket.

Would like very much!
PT
199 days till kickoff!!
Well actually, probably 202 days till the Dolphins kick off!
So 199 days (or probably 202) to solve world hunger and bring about world peace!
Barring nuclear war….and even that may not stop football
Tick tock, tick tock, lol
Showed my g/f your post y/day saying 7 mnths to start of the season Kong. She said “Bloody Hell. It’s only just fecking finished”.
She doesn’t like football as much as me and my potty mouth is rubbing off on her!”
😂😂
Only 2 months till the draft
3 months till OTAs
5 months till training camp
6 months till preseason
wooohooooo!!!
Not looking forward to any of that Kong
Only care about FA right now, without success their, the rest is moot
We have a lot of work to do, with little or no money to do it with, even with 45m in restructures
Steve, I’m not stressing about the cap and FA. I figure we’ll resign a lot of our own FAs and add a few for things like fit in Fangio’s scheme, replacing Gesicki, upgrading a spot or two, etc.
I think we as fans kinda get caught up in our own understanding of these things and tend to think we know more than we actually do. I think fans in general, even very knowledgeable ones, are still pretty short-sighted.
Our FO and the people that look at and manage these things do it for a living and I figure they are capable of adding the same way we can, and they can project the same way we can, and they can see the issues currently facing the team the same way we can. The difference is they probably have just a wee bit more information than we do, lol.
Maybe they know next year the cap will go up big (like it was thought would happen this year, as you mentioned multiple times), or maybe they have a macro plan in place that accounts for having to restructure and push off money into future seasons, just because we don’t know that plan, or can’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there- this is what they do.
I doubt they looked at the roster last month, and the cap space, and the upcoming season, and suddenly said “oh shit, look at this! What are we going to do?”
I don’t think we’ve blown our whole wad and next year is our make it or we’re done year. I think we’ll be just fine. With 4 restructures we give ourselves plenty of space to field a team with at least as much talent as we had this last year.
If I’m wrong, I’m wrong, and I may be wrong, lol, but at this point I am excited about the direction of the team and the upcoming season.
We look at the fact we have what? 20 something FAs and say “how did we get here?”
But I wonder if the team maybe did this on purpose so that after the season McDaniel could, if necessary, rebuild the team the way he wants in one season. Leaving that many FAs was a way to create our own flexibility in the roster and be able to basically rebuild if necessary. We could have extended a number of those guys last year, but we chose not to.
None of that is to say you’re wrong for not looking forward to the other stuff. I get you are saying you are focused on FA. I was just getting out my own feelings about our cap and roster situation, lol.
This tweets for you Mike E and for everything you do!
Here’s to Zach for our new LB coach
When you’re so gifted, that the game came naturally to you it’s hard to coach others to do what you did or how to succeed
Zach had to earn everything, so his way is duplicatable, bet he’d make a great coach
Seems Russia and now China want to stop this war, but Ukraine and US don’t
Have heard don’t stop it, Russia just wants a pause to regroup its military
With WWIII and a nuclear war at stake, seems the world would be a better place if stopped
What does anyone think?
Why would the Ukraine stop at the cost of losing territory? Why would the US want to stop weakening an enemy? And Russia would be back just like after Crimea.
You do get that Russia has taken over a chunk of Ukraine? You act like Ukraine is the unreasonable party. Russia has already declared what it has invaded to be sovereign Russian territory.
Piggy posted about QB Drake Maye so I had to do a 2024 mock. lol Unfortunately, I see only 2 top 10 QB’s (so far) for that draft, Caleb Williams of USC and Dake Maye of UNC. Another QB I like, even though he plays for a team I hate in Michigan is J.J. McCarthy. If he continues to improve from last year he will move in the 1st round. He’s a serious dual threat.
Why am I talking about QB’s? Let’s face it. I don’t see Tua’s body holding up for a long solid career. I still want to see how Skylar improves this year and if he makes a leap, it would change everything in 2024.
IMO, we will be picking in the bottom half of 1st round.
Round 1 – TE Brock Bowers, UGA, 6’4 230, 4.48 40 ran freshman year
Round 2 – QB JJ McCarthy, Michigan, 6’3 200, mobile 4.5 speed
Round 3 – Forfeited due to dumbass Ross
Round 4 – RB Will Shipley, Clemson, 3 down RB with low to mid 4.4 speed
Round 5 – DT Tyleik Williams, Ohio State, 6’3 318
Round 6 – OG Landon Tengwall, Penn State, 6’6 330 monster
Round 7 – LB Austin Keys, Auburn, 6’2 245
I did a second one also.
Round 1 – TE Brock Bowers, UGA, 6’4 230, 4.48 40
Round 2 – LB Smael Mondon Jr., UGA, 6’3 225
Round 3 – Forfeited due to dumbass Ross
Round 4 – QB Quinn Ewers, Texas, 6’2 206
Round 5 – RB Keaton Mitchell, ECU, 5’9 190, 4.32 40 (might go sub 4.3)
Round 6 – DT Tyleik Williams, Ohio State, 6’3 318
Round 7 – OG Landon Tengwall, Penn State, 6’6 330 monster (won’t last this long)

Seems Russia and now China want to stop this war, but Ukraine and US don’t
————————-
The bulk of Ukraine’s coveted natural resources are in the eastern 3rd of Ukraine. China was 2021 (before the war) China was competing with an Australian mining company for rights to mine in the rich Donetsk region. China lost out to the Ausie’s. Ukraine has untapped natural gas reserves in their territorial waters of the Black Sea that Putin wants.
This is why Russia and China want to stop the war. They got what they wanted so far. I think they would have liked to have pushed a little farther in and why Putin want to get all the way to Odesa.
Before Russia took Crimea, Ukraine was working with 2 US oil companies. Putin put a stop to it then also.
I don’t know what his motivation is but if you are saying he wants to go from the East all the way to Odessa that’s pretty much the entire southern border of Ukraine. Odessa is close to the border with Moldova.
Even if he stops on the eastern border I doubt Ukraine is okay with that. It’s a real problem if everyone turns a blind eye to Russia taking a portion of Ukraine by force for natural resources….so I don’t think stopping now and not just pulling out of Ukraine really solves anything
I was under the impression Russia intended to push pretty far southwest to interfere with Ukraine’s ability to use is ports on the Black Sea for trade and basically economically strangle Ukraine
Russia has done nothing to indicate they want to stop this war. To the contrary they have consistently increasing conscription and China has now agreed to arm Russia. Funny way of trying to end a war. Yeah let’s believe the Russian propaganda machine some more
apathy
Okay what the hell is going on in this country with all these explosions? There was one in Miami today.
MATT ROTH busted a nut…
Manslaughter charges pending
I think he is defending himself……Looks like we wont be seeing him on here for a white. 😉
Eh well. It was a pig in the back of a police car.
I didn’t realize it killed people. I feel really bad now.
You didn’t mean anything by it. The timing of all of these explosions makes one wonder though.
Kong, you were talking about how our roster is filled with UFAs and maybe that was part of the plan. I think to a degree it was. McDaniel as a first time HC inherited a roster and did add to it obviously, but I do think the 2nd year (phase II) lol, is when a new HC starts to really build his own team. He’s a got a better feel for everyone now and what he sees needs to improve. He already started that with coaching changes.
lol @ phase II
step 3, stage 1, chapter 11, epsiode 4- a new dolphins hope 😉
LMAO!!!!
Honestly though, it makes sense to look at it as we made the choice not to extend any of these guys last year. Why not have the new coach get a look at them first? I see a dozen names on the list we easily could have given extensions for similar money if we’d wanted to.
We may lose a guy like Van Ginkel. Maybe we don’t get Mostert and Wilson both.
That was supposed to read as we may get Wilson or Mostert, but maybe not both
That’s exactly what is happening. We have 5 very big contracts on players – Hill, Chubb, Armstead, Howard and Ogbah. Byron Jones appears to not be a fit moving forward but he’s another one with a big contract. This team is constructed to go for it now. You can’t keep all these guys together for more than 2-3 years with other contracts coming up in the near future.
We need to get some guys back healthy and re-sign some good fits. We have enough draft capital to add some new quality players. We’re never going to be loaded at every position. We don’t have to be. No team is, but we have some really good players to build on. 🙂
Thanks UK – that was awesome!
Hmmm…

You a literally preaching appeasement of a belligerent power bent on territorial acquisition in order to avoid a World War. That is exactly what Chamberlain did with Hitler. Appeasement didn’t stop Hitler and it didn’t prevent war. It emboldened Hitler and made war inevitable. The historical analogy couldn’t be more clear or accurate
————
I fundamentally disagree with ya, my man. If ya want to follow the historical analogies: ethnic cleansing, only certain churches being shuttered, and suspension of the free press is going on in Ukraine by the Zelensky regime, as Hitler did to the Jewish people.
Both sides (Ukraine and Russia) are corrupt, along with certain prominent politicians on both sides of the aisle here in America (see the Burisma connection). Why are we getting involved, taking one side against the other, and risking WWIII? It’s NOT righteous, virtuous, or honorable for us to get involved with either side.
Many of the Ukrainian people are Russian sympathists (see New Yorkers who move to Florida, but they are still New Yorkers first), and they have already moved back to their “Mother Russia”.
Look, I do see your point of view… I’m not ignorant of what you’re taking in and talking about. However, I don’t see Putin as even being close to taking over the world as Hitler came so close to doing some 70 years ago: technology and time have changed, for one. See, if we/NATO really wanted to, we could/would probably destroy Russia militarily. Problem with that? NUCLEAR response and WE ALL DIE.
Think it through: if Hitler had nukes (thank GOD he didn’t!), he’d probably launch them rather than take his own life. I’m not so sure Putin wouldn’t do this to spite the world as he goes out.
To me, it’s a Russian civil war and we have NO business trying to fight THIS proxy war (whether it be funding, tanks, jets, ammo, communications, etc) in particular, as we lose regardless of the outcome.
We should be trying to broker peace, not further escalation in THIS given situation. JMO, as always, Hulkster. I hope these words find you well as they are certainly not partisan in nature.
A Civil War is an internal war inside one nation. This is a war involving 2 nation states
Putin is a bully…you punch bullies in the face….that’s my experience.
…you seem to bend over and are ok with it…out of fear.
So the thoughts have turned to rumor now… that we may be players to trade for Jalen Ramsey. Thoughts?
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-trades-2023-nfl-offseason-free-agency-draft
Personally, I don’t like it… build through the Draft, augment via FA. Even if we restructure our top 4 or 5 players this year, we’re kicking the can to ’24.
If we continue to use Draft picks to acquire high-priced players, we’re going to be in the midst of a total rebuild… just look at the Rams.
Would be interesting to see Ramsey and Howard
But he goes from great to a liability in a couple of plays
I wouldn’t want to trade 2nd rounders for the next 2 years
He’s also going to be paid top grade. I’d be surprised by this.
Not sure I would give up any of the 3 draft picks we have in the top 100 this year…
I wouldn’t give up any picks. We already don’t have a 3rd round pick next year due to Ross.
I could deal with a designated post June 1 trade straight up. Byron Jones for Ramsey if we could clear the cap space. Ramsey is due to make even more than Byron Jones over the next 3 seasons.
Ramsey would cost us:
2023: 17 mil
2024: 14.5 mil
2025: 15.5 mil
I don’t see how we could afford him this year even with a restructure.
Rams seem to be in bigger cap hell than us. So, who knows what you could trade to get him.
Hmm, it doesn’t say what FL beaches though. East coast or Gulf Coast?
I think this is worth a watch. I have been saying all along that I am not that concerned about Russia. They have displayed how weak they are.
China is backing Russia in this Ukraine conflict because they want to weaken Russia and they want NATO to deplete its stockpiles.
I have said on here for at least the last year that China is the one you have to worry about. They are buying up U.S. farmland left and right. Over 200,000 acres so far. It was revealed that just last year alone, China spent $6.1 billion dollars on housing in the U.S. making it America’s top foreign buyer. Why?
They are buying or attempting to buy hundreds of acreages next to a few of our strategic military bases.
They have infiltrated top level officials of our government with spies (U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell) and with tons of money (Bidens and who knows who else).
They are a fierce predator who has been waiting to pounce. People need to wake up.

M – New Yorker’s who moved to FLA but are still NYers? Is FLA trying to destroy NY and I’m not aware of it? I don’t get the comparison at all. I live in NJ, and yes, I’m originally from NY, but I hate what’s become of NY, and I was enraged when they segregated people in NYC as to whether they were vaxed or non vaxed. I thought it was disgusting, and still do. I also thought it was disgusting when they fired all those doctors, nurses, aids who worked through tough times of COVID and then were dumped because they wouldn’t get the vaccine. I thought that was disgusting as well. I didn’t defend NY for doing that just because I’m originally from NYC.
Not sure where you’re getting your info from Ukraine that many are Russian sympathizers. I’d bet the majority of those people who have had their lives altered by this conflict are not happy with this Russian aggression at all, and probably wouldn’t mind if someone flattened the country entirely. There’s nothing kind or humanitarian going on with this Russian attempt to regain Ukraine.
I can’t get how all these conversatoins don’t start with — “Russia invaded Ukraine.”
Maybe we need some “Russian Propaganda” in our lives?
We don’t
You don’t care for that message?
No I don’t care for the causal illogical jump from “our way of life is jeopardy from the west” to “time to invade Ukraine”
This is very similar to the speech he gave before Russia invaded Ukraine. Communicating to people that if they don’t stop their neighbors from joining NATO then the west will come and take the things they value is classic propaganda
Russia would be a sovereign nation with or without an invasion of neighboring countries. They have complete control over their own laws and their own culture (in the same way any country has control over their culture) – they don’t need to stop the west for, influencing them by invading their neighbors…come on…
Not sure why Putin being likable or relatable (which he’s not to me) has anything to do with the level of deception on the world stage Russia has engaged in their invasion of Ukraine
You can literally scroll up and see people argue Russia wants to end the war while they are currently occupying Ukraine or that Ukraine is sympathetic to Russian interest in invading their country
This guy was spy for the KGB before he was in politics. He knows exactly how to manipulate people.
What different about the world today is that we have social media, thousands of podcasts, hundreds of cable channels, etc. Putin is using these vehicles to spread messages that were previously limited inside Russia during the Cold War and many Americans are completely duped by it.
because his message resonates with racist nationalist that’s why
In your mind – Are all nationalists racist?
Wyo – I have to agree with Piggy here. While I might agree with some of the social and cultural things Putin talks about the West, at the same time he invaded, murdered and took over territories that were not for him to take, especially through war. Talk about talking through both sides of your mouth. He’s not a good guy, but neither is Biden. Regardless of those facts, we’re not trying to change Russia, or bring our culture there, that’s nonsense. He’s not a good guy, and he doesn’t mean well.
I genuinely think there are valid arguments to not be involved in the Ukraine
– There are economic questions for ourselves
– The idea of being more of an isolationist is not so bad for me
– and we have seen intervention against Russia/USSR backfire in the past (like Afghanistan, when we ended up funding terrorists we would later have to fight)
But I’m not really seeing those arguments here. I don’t understand the Putin sympathizers. You don’t have to oppose what we are doing in Ukraine and turn a blind eye to how bad Putin is
Even if I don’t support Putin, why can’t I oppose them wasting over 100 billion of our money when the US is in a recession and facing the worst inflation in the past 100 years? Why wouldn’t I oppose Biden choosing to fly to Kiev when Palestine, Ohio is facing crisis? How many wars has the US fought thousands of miles away in the past 30 years compared to Russia?
Totally appreciate that point of view even if I disagree with it. To me the cost of not supporting the war in the long run will be worse than supporting it.
I could understand this view if there was any historical data to back it up since the USSR collapsed. There is none. If you look at US intervention across the world, it’s massive and Russia’s has been minimal. We are trying to say Russia will destroy our civilization when even Obama said the 80s want their foreign relations back. Russia hasn’t interfered in much outside their small sphere of influence. We’ve interfered all over the world all the time. Why not focus on Americans for once?
I don’t think it is as overt as Russia destroying our civilization but I do think it was an existential threat to NATO and many of the alliances of NATO countries. Say what you will about NATO but it has been one of the most successful treaties and alliances in European history
The Russian people do hold the traditional values that were once prevalent in the west. Things like the nuclear family, responsibility, etc. Putin does not. He is simply using them as a dog whistle to drum up fear in his populace of Russia being forced to let in the silly liberal, woke culture of the west in his populace and to minimize internal resistance to his actions.
I agree with that
People of Russia actually have morals, unlike whatever this shit is the left is pedaling around the world these days
Then why did Russia invade Ukraine? Not a moral thing to do.
OMG Putin as the paragon of virtue and American values. If you needed any further evidence of Russian Propaganda there it is
No Phelon
Thanks. I was just confirming.
Putting together one hell of a coaching staff
He’s a young coach who must have a good reputation.
Quick interjection of some football opinion:
Draft RB? …
think Roschon Johnson (Texas) could be a steal with 81st pick. He is overlooked because of Robinson … BUT when he did get touches his rushing averages were basically identical! The big thing that separates Robinson is the avg yards receiving … but even here Johnson still averaged 9.1 yds/rec. 6’2″, 223 lbs. AND considered one of UT’s ‘fastest’ players being clocked at 22.6 mph
Defense? …
Health is all we need. Br.Jones, Ogbah, Needham, (even Zimmer, and yes, even Byron Jones) … discuss all you can about best LB fit for Fangio … but a healthy Def and “blitzing when you want to” (Fangio) could do it.
Reason: We certainly saw in the playoffs and SB that an unstoppable offense still beats a really good defense in today’s NFL.
Thus … the Offense …
We SUCK at drafting OL … so if we only go after one FA let it be McGlinchey. LT, C, RG, and RT would be set… LG and depth for the rest of OL roster.
Finally, Tua must have watched Remember the Titans and has fantasies of martial arts moves that cripple Josh Topou. :).
Just Tua, Ogbah, Brandon Jones all healthy makes our regular season look a whole lot different. Put me in the camp of “build more quality depth rather than overhaul” the current roster.
Glad you brought up Roshon Johnson. I had him in one of my earlier mocks. Another thing about him is he a team first player. I believe he was recruited as a QB then as a freshman they asked him to play RB because of a ton of injuries. Then he stayed at RB and was #2 behind Robinson. He would have been #1 on quite a few teams but he stayed and did whatever they wanted him to do.
There is a list of good RB’s to be had in the 3rd round. We should come away with one.
I think that’s the right round for us to add a RB being that we have two.
I don’t get the NYers moving to Florida comparison either.
But what is a real thing is what Ken mentioned. Putin’s propaganda machine plays a major role in all of this. China too. TikTok is a Chinese company and the perfect medium to spread propaganda because so many people are addicted to it.
Here’s some info. on new Safeties coach Joe Kasper. He’s got a connection to Mike McDaniel.

I think this is worth a watch. I have been saying all along that I am not that concerned about Russia. They have displayed how weak they are…
————-
BINGO, as Tim would say! China is the benefactor of the two world superpowers (USA and Russia) facing off with one another. This is being done by design and intention, IMO: it clears the path for China to take control.
However, if it comes to nuclear war, nobody wins.
All the players know everyone loses in a nuclear war.
I don’t understand what this “Russian propaganda” is all about. Yeah, Putin’s words are certainly meant to be deceptive, but I don’t see any Russian propaganda whatsoever, much less what it even looks like.
If “America First” is Russian propaganda, I don’t know what to even say about that. We beat the Soviets by bleeding them dry of money, which they threw at their proxy wars against us, mainly Afghanistan. Today, we’re well over $30T in debt and are falling into the same trap we set for the USSR.
If we don’t take fiscal responsibility, we’re done for. Our strategic oil reserves are all but empty, so we’d be fucked if we go to war. What’s more, we’re well below the status quo as it pertains to enlisted soldiers right now.
I’m sorry, but in the here and now, this is absolutely foolish to go to war with Russia.
Russia has a very advanced propaganda organization using social media and lots of bots. The talking points you are espousing are exactly the same coming from Moscow.
What I espouse is “Trumpian” or as a Constitutionalist: America First — we must get our own house in order. We live in a house divided, and it will not stand much longer.
We’re following the recipe for the destruction of the Roman Empire. NOW is NOT the time to be reckless as we’re already against the ropes.
If you’re not seeing any Russian propaganda then it’s working on you.
Russia has been accusing Ukraine of genocide for years to validate their invasion. Putin has accused them as being Neo-Nazi’s. As we know the Russian people have nothing but disdain for Nazi’s so that resonates with them. Yet the Ukrainian president Zelenskyy is Jewish.
The ironic thing is that Russia has been committing genocide in the Ukraine. They want to wipe out the Ukrainian people. They don’t want them to be an independent state.
See above in my reply to Ken.
That has nothing to do with what we’re talking about.
Also the Nazi’s were brutal to the Ukrainian people during WWII. I had a girlfriend back in the day that was Ukrainian and she told me her grandmother (baba) along with many other women had their heads shaved and they used the hair to stuff pillows. That’s the kind of degrading shit the Nazi’s did to people.

————–
So everything Putin says is a lie, and everything Zelensky says is truth? I’d say you’re eating Ukrainian propaganda.
We’ve got NO business being over there, being both sides are sick, bad, and corrupt. I believe the USA should sit this one out.
Bro, the Nazis were brutal to EVERYBODY (that included the Soviets), not just the Ukrainians… but you already knew this.
1. I never said that. But I don’t trust our own politicians so there’s that. But there is history that makes me lean one way more than the other.
2. We’re not over there fighting the war with our military.
3. We were talking about Russia and Ukraine. I gave an example of how the Nazi’s treated the Ukrainian people so this idea that they’re a Nazi state is ridiculous. They hate the Nazi’s even more than the Russians because they took the brunt of it in the battles between the Nazi’s and the Soviets in WWII. The Nazi’s only invaded the USSR a short distance beyond Ukraine. Most of the Russian people did not experience what the Ukrainians did.
Once again, I think the USA should sit this one out. We’ve nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Putin is a bully…you punch bullies in the face….that’s my experience.
…you seem to bend over and are ok with it…out of fear.
————-
There’s a time to punch, there’s a time to be defensive, there’s a time to be strategic, and there’s a time to use one’s head to gain the advantage.
You may call it fear, but I call it foolishness. The pen is mightier than the sword, always. It’s time to quell this BS via peace talks.
Sorry, you may call ME fearful, but I consider myself to not be foolish.
The time to be defensive and strategic is now and that is what is happening. The USA isn’t in a military war with Russia. We want the war to end without it ever coming to that.
To the tune of US spending $100B per year? That’s foolishness.
We tried that in Afghanistan, Iraq, and several other places… and all we have to show for it is $30+T in debt, as all of these places have reverted to how it was before we got involved.
You keep moving further and further away from the discussion.
As for the USA sitting this one out, did you wake up in the 1930’s? LOL
“Talk about pissing your money away! I hope you kids see what a silly waste of resources this was.”

Some are talking about Putin as if he has a moralistic stance to present. Do you people know what happened in Bucha? You could have just read an article on it, but the documentary I watched made me shed tears.
His family values include longtime extramarital affairs
Who is Bill Clinton?
Stop the what about ism. It was a reply in reference to the video above how Putin values the nuclear and you can’t resist the what about comment which had nothing to do with the conversation
War is a very saddening thing, my friend.
War is saddening…. executing civilians in the streets is a war crime.
BOTH sides have done as much, man.

That’s a very, very dangerous proposition… and that WILL lead to nuclear war.
There are similarities
Stalin was just as bad or worse than Hitler except he did it to his own people. Putin is a Stalin disciple.
Invading Ukriane? — both Hitler and Putin did it. Executing civilians — check. Deporting civilians into internment camps — check.
When did all of the doves become hawks? And why is that? Did American MSM propaganda take you in?
When Russia invaded Ukraine. Was the MSM wrong on that or did it never happen?
Why are we to be the world police? Are we going to go $60T in debt, only for China to come in and take us over?
I’m a neo-con M13. Will keep fighting for the place of America guiding the world rule until those Chinese come knocking at my door. You want to just give up to them and the Russians? And we have international allies helping as well. More than just about nation these days.
When did all the hawks become snowflakes 😉
I identify more as an ice ball. Maybe an icicle.
He zinged you there, M13. LOL
You seem to be looking at this from an American political viewpoint wanting to hold Biden’s (Democrat/Liberal) feet to the fire, instead of looking at it from a USA viewpoint. Of course we’re going to be involved and the fact that you think we can sit this one out is not realistic. We’re not going to allow Putin to do whatever he wants.
I don’t see how we can ever be isolationists again. We’re too global like most of the industrialized nations. That’s the world we live in. We’re not going back to everything we do and purchase is simply American. That’s the conservative Pat Buchanan utopia of “Ozzie and Harriet”.
Then welcome to the NWO!
Ken — the funny part about it is a certain segment in the country will just do what Biden doesn’t do. They might not realize that, but they listen to the far-right sources and that’s how they set it up.
Mao Zedong did the same thing in China that Stalin did in Russia. Their own personal ideologies and narcissism slaughtered their own people to build the state they envisioned. That is what Putin is capable of.

I used to be a neo-con, Stanger… and I understand where you’re coming from. I no longer trust our government, and that’s why I changed from hawk to a ‘pseudo-dove’, if you will.
IMO, now is not the time to be throwing so much money toward a foreign government waging war on another: that would be the camel who breaks the straw’s back (camel is heavy, straw is weak).
I come from an American First perspective only… I don’t GAF about Putin or Russia.
And obviously, I don’t GAF about Zelensky or Ukraine, either.
I do GAF about the Ukrainian people. The younger generations wants to be more Western democracy and live like we do.
You sure do flip on things. Before you said you were an independent was clear you were right wing, but that changed. Now you have gone from Neo-Con to isolatinist. Maybe you are just more flexible in your beliefs than I am.
Bro, I’m a conservative, Constitutionalist, Independent voter. I have no allegiance to the reps or the dems… they should have allegiance to US, the citizens who voted them into office to represent them, to begin with.
I have regrets, having voted for GWB twice. I once naively believed in nation-building at that time in my life… I was wrong, being it failed miserably.
We all reserve the right to change our minds through life and experience. But for me? I’ve ALWAYS been a registered Indy and Constitutionalist… I’m not beholden to any one person or party.
And realize that today’s GOP is far-left of JFK’s democrat party in the 60s.
M13, the NWO is really just human evolution. Of course it’s not all peachy keen, humans never are. Your viewpoints are very 90 years ago.
Then I say, “YAY!” for me and my 90-year-old viewpoints! 😀
I know lots of people that wished they lived before technology. I sometimes think that way too. But then you wake up in 2023, not 1933. Remember we sat that one out in the 30’s while Hitler was building an evil war machine. Just saying.
Tim, you are casually trying to link Putin to Hitler, as is Ken. It’s not only factually wrong, but it’s edging us ever closer to nuclear confrontation and a world war.
Putin and Hitler are extraordinarily different people if ya didn’t know. Talk about the ‘bogeyman’!
“And realize that today’s GOP is far-left of JFK’s democrat party in the 60s.”
In what way?
Wow that rotted fast!
What rotted I didn’t smell anything. Maybe a skunk. LOL
Alright, I’m done talking about recent events. Football from me going forward.
New Age
I don’t understand your 1:13 response to me at all. I went out of the way to specifically say there ARE legitimate reasons to oppose what we are doing in Ukraine without the need to make Putin’s arguments for him.
Did you read my comment? Are you agreeing with me?
Yes, I was mostly agreeing with you and putting those arguments out there just in case they hadn’t been said before. Kind of a follow up and a reminder we sometimes agree on non-Dolphins stuff. Don’t tell anyone.
M13, I’m not casually trying to link Putin to Hitler, I’m all out doing it. I don’t care what coordinates Putin or Hitler are on in the political spectrum grid. They are/were both evil dictators that will murder innocent people with their narcissistic ideologies.
So you then now you support the War in Iraq… being Saddam and his sons Uday and Qusay were doing the exact same things, right?
*So you now support
What does viewing Putin as a dictator as bad as Hitler, have to do with the war in Iraq? We were talking about the people, not what our response militarily would be.
I think you dropped some of your cue cards in the toilet during flush so now you can only use the ones you have left. You’re not staying on topic, man.
I’d still like to know why you said this? I think the current GOP is right of JFK.
“And realize that today’s GOP is far-left of JFK’s democrat party in the 60s.”
I don’t think Derek Carr is a 2nd-rate QB, yet he’s not a top-tiered QB either. I do not want to see him become a NY Stej.
Hope he goes out of the conference, maybe to the Panthers.
He would make the Jets better and they are a team loaded with good young talent. But I’m not worried about what other teams do. We either become a top team or we don’t.
He is a good QB who on any given day he can be great but he is not consistent. He makes a fair number of mistakes

That is a mind blowing thought. Not sure I agree that the GOP is far to the left of the party that did the Civil Rights Act….. but maybe all is relative.
JFK’s economic policies are still similar and his views on Communism are the same with the GOP today. JFK would have been more liberal on social issues IMO. Not sure he would have leaned socialist though. I don’t think so.
Like I said it is all relative. Lincoln said what now seem some real prejudiced things.
Of course… human history is what it is. Even if Lincoln wasn’t all about ending slavery, but trying to save the Union, he did set the humanitarian movement in motion.
From what I keep seeing from the NFL world is our needs are OL, CB and TE. It all depends on who we retain and where we want to improve.
We’ll know more soon enough.
I see stories that we’re getting every FA out there it seems like
Of course, we need to add major FAs. I don’t see how we can do that.
Do any of you see the Select Quotes commercial?
Someone died so the wife asks her husband if they have life insurance and when he waffles a little she goes,
“John”
You guys know that’s my name but I’m telling you she sounds EXACTLY like my wife and it’s in that tone where I immediately have to snap to. I’ll be dammed if I don’t get burned every single time that commercial comes on and I’m not really paying attention to the tv. They need a new commercial lol
Lol….John
I like Gesicki I wish we’d keep him but I heard Cincy likes him. They have excellent receivers and they can use him why the hell can’t we? 🤷♂️
We didn’t use him, he doesn’t fit what we’re looking for. Cincy may feel differently. He’ll do well somewhere where he’s used exclusively as a receiver and they don’t give a fuck whether he blocks or not.
Yet we might covet Hayden Hurst from Cincy.
He’s a much more physical player than Gesicki. Not as talented physically, but he’ll push for extra yards and break a tackle. Probably a better blocker too, which of course, isn’t saying much. lol
I’m interested in seeing McDaniel’s 2nd year vision. New DC, DB, S and OL coach.
Lots of roster spots are open too. He wasn’t satisfied. McDaniel comes off as a mellow, positive guy but when it comes to football, he doesn’t mess around.

CB and OL needs to me seem strange, at least at this point
OL and CB were good enough last year, we really don’t have a need there, assuming we retain some of the guys that played well last year
Gesicki is gone, so we do have a TE need, but the kind of guy we need is a lunch pail cheap type of guy, I’d re-sign Lovett for that role, in TC practice I attended he looked great catching the ball playing FB, HB or TE wherever they had him lineup
It’s really hard to get into any type of needs/ wants before we know what we have to spend
Flo year 2 he spent a lot, year 3 was bargain basement, with MM he didn’t have the year 1 tear it down season, he started like year 2 Flo, I see a bargain basement type of FA for us this year
Of course there’s always the pay it forward type of approach with FAs, so we could always do that, but we’d have to restructure the farm
Last year I felt like a kid in a candy store, now I feel like a kid at the dentist (pay piper)
If Sieler continues to play at the level he has that value is a steal.
Over the last two seasons, Sieler has totaled 132 tackles, 15 quarterback hits, seven tipped passes, 5.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He’s been integral in both the pass-rush and run-stop in Josh Boyer’s system and could find himself with an even bigger role in Vic Fangio’s defense this year.
I expect Seiler to excel under Fangio, we need to extend him before it happens
they are working on it according to his agent
Great practice squad poach was he!
I love him! One of my faves all year! 😍
America
“On this day in history, Feb. 23, 1945, US Marines raise American flag over Iwo Jima.”
Fangio picked another lieutenant:
The #Dolphins are hiring #Eagles defensive quality control Joe Kasper as their new safeties coach, per source.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) February 22, 2023
Kasper spent the 2021 season with the Philadelphia Eagles as a defensive quality control coach. Prior to that, he worked as a graduate assistant with the Duke University football team. While at Duke, he helped with quarterbacks (2020) and defensive backs (2018-2019).
I’ll add my 2 cents about Gesicki. I like him. Yeah yeah, the blocking. I get it. I also get he made some crucial catches this past season that got us first downs, continued a drive and ultimately made a difference in a W or L. I also think he is trying to improve on that, at least I think I read that somewhere on the internet so it must be true. 😂
He made a few plays for us, but most of the time they threw to him between the 20s it felt forced
He’s a square peg we can’t afford, and it would be a disservice to him, if we re-signed him, he just doesn’t fit
I want no part of Gesicki going forward
In case anyone was wondering, the Bills are in worse Cap position than we are. We are currently 12.66m over the cap while the Bills are currently 18.7M over the cap according to CBS. They also have a few of there starts set to walk in FA if they can’t get their shit together. Jordan Poyer, guard Rodger Saffold Tremaine Edmunds all URFA this season.
I obviously do not follow the Bills as closely as the Dolphins, but I wonder who they can restructure to make up the almost 19M to get to zero before TRYING to free up room for those guys.
**Stars not starts
Your last paragraph says it all, and my thoughts too, making their current cap figure not important by itself
Another key variable is how many players, that figure to be a part of the 2023 53, they currently have signed
Important facts us fans come up with that writers don’t, and why…U75
We should have drafted Goedert. He can block AND catch.
We didn’t so it’s just the question of Gesicki now.
Agree, but this staff wasn’t doing the selecting or putting in the request for type of TE to draft
Gesicki was very good with Fitz and in that O, not so much now
I look at it as we are in about the same boat as the Bills. They are more over the cap but also have 9 more players signed to their roster. They are already at their top 51 but we are at 44 players on the roster, 7 short of the top 51.
Even if they are bottom of the barrel futures contracts at $750,000 each, that another 5.2 million and puts us just short of 18 over the cap.
Of course, the Bills are looking at possibly losing S Poyer, OG Saffold, LB Edmunds, RB Singletary, WR Jamison Crowder, DE Shaq Lawson and DL Jordan Phillips. Their backup QB Case Keenum is an UFA also, but they do have QB Matt Barkley on the roster. Four of their backup OL are free agents. That’s a bigger impact on their roster than what we face.
I would very much like to sign Case Keenum, Jordan Poyer, and/or Tremaine Edmunds, in no particular order.
I highly doubt we sign Poyer being we already have Holland and Brandon Jones, but I think he’d be an upgrade over Jones.

We didn’t so it’s just the question of Gesicki now.
If others can continue to pine after their past draft crushes years later, then so can I!! neener neener neener!
He’s missed 15 games in 5 years. He’s alright, nothing to get excited abut
and he still has 380 yards, 17 receptions, 30 first downs, 0.8 yd ave, and a TD more than your Jersey Boi with 29 less targets. PLUS he is a great blocker.
Still having this debate? LOL
I just like getting a rise out of Mike E about it. It’s like super stink bait to cat fish. He cannot resist. LOL
Surprise prediction: Gesicki is resigned
Do you really think so?
And I presume you mean re-signed, not resigned to FA.
Just gut feeling. I think he likes it in Miami and I actually think the team likes him. He is a valuable red zone target. I also don’t know if anyone is going to open the bank for him. Just a hunch
Man, I hope you’re right! BUT, at a hometown discount.
Seems a certain decorated colonel feels EXACTLY the way I feel, regarding our involvement in Russia vs Ukraine. He addresses most of the talking points that some have addressed to me (ie: Putin is the next Hitler).
I deeply encourage EVERYBODY who has an opinion on the Russia-Ukraine situation to watch this interview.
Colonel Douglas Macgregor sits down with my guy Stephen Gardner… my fellow Mandalorian and American…
Many don’t
If you haven’t watched the whole video, there is no sense in commenting on it, Brother! 😉
Putin is an evil dictator. You have a thing for this guy or something?
What are any of us going to do about it anyway?
See my reply above to Ken. If you don’t watch the video, there is no sense in commenting on his military rationale of thinking.
Tim, I despise Putin as much as anybody… as does Colonel Douglas Macgregor.
Why is it that you think I have something for Putin? That is MOST irrational on your part. Watch the video.
I hope Stanger watches the video too, as he was called out (not by name, mind you) for being a neo-con.
Douglas McGregor…. I’ll take a pass on that. Have watched other of his stuff. And I named myself a neo-con.
Regarding the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment tragedy, isn’t it an odd coincidence that just 3 months ago the movie “White Noise” comes out and it involves a really bad train wreck with a huge toxic spill and fire.
“The sequence of events in White Noise has two major phases: the first milestone is the “Airborne Toxic Event” that occurs in the first half, where a massive emergency (train wreck) forces the population in that area to extreme conditions: they will have to leave their home, escape their town and find shelter in different places, because of a toxic cloud on their heads. It will last some days, after which life will return to normality. But Jack discovers that the toxic substance contaminated him, and he will die because of it, even though he doesn’t know exactly when (it will take years anyway).”
Anyway, virtually all this movie was filmed/made in the state of OHIO. On top of that, it was filmed not far from East Palestine near Akron, Ohio.
Here’s the movie trailer, seems weird so you can FF to the 2:07 mark when the train cars are stacking up.
Now here is drone footage of the burnt up East Palestine train cars.
Curious!
And just yesterday, there was yet another train derailment, this time involving coal being shipped. It wasn’t in Ohio, but it was in the mid-west.
Sorry, two days ago, and in Nebraska.
Anyway, the coincidence is becoming a buzz on the internet.
Coincidences are crazy, unless you believe the Simpson actually predict the future too.
https://collider.com/predictions-the-simpsons-came-true/#facetime
That says it all right there. Watch TV and the movies and you will know the future. I need to find a movie or show that involves picking lotto numbers!
LOL good luck

Piggy you better cancel that trip to Spain!
M13, I watched the video and have seen others like it including the one that was posted days ago that started this discussion. Like I said about that one, even if you disagree, it’s good to get opinions from people other than politicians who are knowledgeable about specific topics. I also said yesterday well I don’t trust our own politicians so there’s that.
I have a cousin who was telling me the same take on this conflict as this video a week after it started. But it always comes down to trying to find a balance because even though someone sounds very intellectual and informative, does one just hold dear to their opinion and are they not allowing other truths to be discussed?
Colonel Macgregor is very believable to me, but he’s one voice. I appreciated the video though. I wish the MSM would do it’s freaking job and allow all these voices to inform the American people instead of the same bias nonsense that goes on. Like the Don Lemon saga as if that’s fuckin important.
By the way, I recently saw an interview with Kamala Harris by Chuck Todd who is a liberal pundit. Even he sees her as a moron and a liar. You can see it with his expression and replies. I guarantee you she could not speak on the Ukrainian/Russian war on any level that Colonel Macgregor did, and she’s the fuckin Vice President of the USA. Kamala is VP as a minority woman to touch on the sensitivity for minority people. It can’t be anything more than that because I have yet to see her discuss any topic in a intellectual way without relying on fluff, giggles and confused commentary.
If she somehow becomes president we’re fuckin doomed. Biden is smarter than her.
Colonel Macgregor is an outlier voice, one pimped by the alt-right. He’s the new Gen Michael Flynn.
Like I said, people have different views. Are we only allowed a few and who decides that? Like when people say wealthy people need to pay their fair share, who decides what that is?
I just think some views are more credible than others. But maybe just me.
Bobby Wagner getting released by the Rams…
He didn’t perform up to his contract. I didn’t realize he will be 33 this season.
I thought I read he made 2nd team all pro for them last year
140 tackles, 6 sacks, 2 INTs, 10 TFL.
What was I thinking. LOL
Guess since the Rams were crap, he didn’t help them much. That’s what I get for assuming.
lol, it was a natural assumption. They were pure crap, her’s getting older, and they let him go 1 year into a 5 year contract.
I’m reading it was a mutual thing. He wants to play for a winning team in his dotage, they are rebuilding and wanted the cap space.
*he’s*
Combine starts in 4 days but the good stuff doesn’t start until March 2nd.
I just can’t seem to get excited about it this year. Claire pissed me off by throwing away all our draft Capital.
Grief
How do you turn off auto correct!!???
GRIER
LOL, 3rd time’s a charm?
I know, takes the fun out of it.
You mean Ross. Did you forget how many 1st round picks Grier acquired since 2019? The number is 5. We traded one in the 2022 draft to move back up for Waddle. Then another for Hill last year. Then Ross pissed one away this year. We should have had 7 total from 2019-2023.
Correction: We traded one in the 2021 draft to move back up for Waddle.
Drew Rosenhaus said Wednesday that he expects edge rusher Emmanuel Ogbah to return to the Dolphins next season and he’s working on deals for linebacker Elandon Roberts and defensive lineman Zach Sieler that would keep them in Miami.
Ogbah has a guaranteed contract for 2023 that was agreed to last year. Roberts would become a free agent March 15 if no agreement is reached.
The Sieler situation bears watching because he would become a free agent after next season and is due for a bump over the $3.2 million he will earn in 2023.
“We really have made that a priority in our discussions with the Dolphins,” Rosenhaus said on The Joe Rose Show on WQAM-560AM. “It doesn’t take a cap expert to see how valuable Zach is. He really has outplayed his contract.”
It would be nice if Wilkins and Sieler are extended before they hit FA. It wouldn’t surprise me if Wilkins chooses to wait and hit FA though. He’s going to get big money. I really hope we can keep him.
I think we worry about Wilkins next year. We can franchise him too.
I often forget about the franchise tag as a tool. It’s definitely an option which would mean we still have two years to get Wilkins figured out.
Yep! Everyone knows he’s a good player and he will get paid. A franchise tag in 2024 will be more than he’s made his entire 5 year rookie contract as a 1st round pick.
Ogbah is under contract. Why is his return in question?
I think he meant coming off of injury he’ll be ready to go.
The HBCU Legacy Bowl is this Saturday. There are usually a couple of draft diamonds in that game.
I think I’m going to keep calling him grief 😜
I thought you were making some obscure reference with ‘Claire’. I was trying to work it out when you posted your first correction, lol.
What did I kiss today
Did we hire some one in the Front office names Claire Grief?
You don’t have to answer what I kissed….that’s personal…
What did I miss?
Out of how many, 2,000? LOL
Based on the history of Fangio’s approach to defense, Holland might become a star. He can play any role as a safety and like Fangio said in his PC, really liked him in the draft – size, speed, physical, instincts. What more are you looking for? LOL
Fangio: What is your speed?
Holland: Very fast.
Fangio: What is your size?
Holland: Pretty big.
Fangio: What is the air speed velocity of an unladen sparrow?
Holland: …
LOL off you go!
“We’re in charge of not letting the other team score”
Lol, any questions?
Fangio has to be licking his chops with the players he sees here. Ahem Christian Wilkins ahem Chubb Phillips Holland
Fucking ahem Seiler Baker freakin X
Byron Jones
Fangio plays chess (it would seem, let’s see)
Hello Ogbah
Man wow
I meant Brandon btw, he’s one of my favorites
Always Need Ham 💪
And the Dolphins will always get that ham!
Gesicki is core of who this team is today. He should stay here.
That’s all I have to say about that.
Agreed.
I would really like it if we hung on to our talented players instead of going through an annual rationalizing of what we should part ways
Yes Gesicki wasn’t productive this year
But what if we lose hill or waddle for a few games next year?
A lot of things can happen
Maybe he has a great year and maybe the offense changes a little to add new wrinkles
Who knows
He knows the system and we know he has talent
If we can work something out – let’s do it
🐖 💨
HA! that is some rich fantasy shit right there! He is a non-fit – non-factor
They ALL say it.
I’m going to adapt to the players we have and win with them
Then the next thing you know really good players just move on to greener pastures, that’s a major component to long term success. A solid core that you know what to expect from.
Piggs,
Gesicki is a pro. He knows how to conduct himself how to prepare himself he’s a great teammate he has incredible ability I don’t know what else anyone is looking for. I can win with Gesicki.
He was a class act all season
He kept his mouth shut about being unhappy
He got caught on a hit mic telling the Bills TE he was underutilized – so I know he was feeling it
He sucks at that whatever thing he does despite lacking more opportunities to do so.
Coach needs to adapt his schematics to the talent he has that contributes positively every day, with freakish ability.
You don’t adapt your schematics to feature a liability.
That said I am prioritizing keeping Wilkins over Gesicki if I have to choose
Absolutely
I don’t know? Maybe being able to help the other 10 guys execute the playcall? He can’t. NEXT
Christian Wilkins is on the steepest track to being the next Miami Dolphin to go to Canton. (unless Richmond Webb were to get justly rewarded in the mean time)

Are talking about his griddy? 😂
Lol yes
It’s funny though
FLORIDA ATLANTIC’s greatest season ever took another step forward tonight with a 106-66 pounding of UTSA in front of a standing room only crowd at raucous Baldwin Arena. The Owls are now 25-3 with Texas El Paso coming in Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM on the CBS Sports Network.
It’s been interesting watching some Tampa Bay local alums flying their FAU car flags while sporting FAU’s red, white, and blue colors. One of the opening rounds of March Madness will be played in nearby Orlando, where FAU alums have a strong presence. USF alums here in Tampa have duly noticed the rise of FAU’s football, basketball and baseball programs the last few years. Now that FAU is becoming a full member of the American Athletic Conference, Tampa area sports fans will be treated to ANOTHER strong in state rivalry. One USF alum who works where I work told me “In less than 5 years the USF-FAU rivalry will be hotter than hot!!”
I hope he’s right.
From the article:
Baker helped WKU rank second in C-USA in sacks, scoring defense and opposing yards per carry last season.
He has never coached at the NFL level.
Baker played at Gardner-Webb from 2005-08 and began his coaching career in the high school ranks in 2010. He went to Berry College as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in 2013.
Baker also has coached at Mercer (2014-18) and Chattanooga (2019) as a defensive line coach.
He coached the defensive ends at WKU in 2020 before taking over the entire defensive line in 2021.

Looks like this is what prompted the hiring of Kenny Baker.
Kong, Fangio brings so much respect to the entire coaching staff. On defense our staff is changing quite a bit. The only change on offense has been OL coach.
McDaniel luring in Fangio is huge. Yes Ross had to pay him but first Fangio had to sign on working with a young coach in McDaniel.
As much as I see McDaniel seeing all points of football, he wants a top dog running the defense. He handed that to Boyer last year and it wasn’t what he thinks we need. In comes a guy like Fangio. Nothing is guaranteed but it’s an upgrade.
I’m excited about a Fangio run defense.
You can’t predict anything but he is a no nonsense guy. The best players play.
You can’t play the style of football MM wants with the smoke and mirrors D we had last year
To run the ball you need a complimentary D or you’ll be stuck feeling you have to score every possession and throw more than you’d like
Tremaine Edmunds
Bobby Wagner or
Lavonte David
in free agency? Forget the cap. They can manipulate that. Which of these FA would you pull the trigger on?
Our ISLB position with Riley, Baker & Roberts don’t exactly scream game changer. We have a pretty good DL, Edge and DB group. It seems our “good” LB’s are just good enough.
Wagner for sure
Our D hasn’t been elite for decades….nor the offense.
I witnessed our O take the top off more times last year than in the last 2 decades. Explosive plays…
The D regressed imo….
Better coaching on D with what we have in-house, assuming we keep most might be the ticket…idk
Grier v grief is kinda funny….we have acquired talent, for sure.
I can take yours and beat you with thems…lol…coaching is so important.
Bum Phillips bastardized quote…lol
Tremaine Edmunds
Bobby Wagner or
Lavonte David
—————–
Wagner and David might come the cheapest. Both will be 33 this season with David turning 34 if you make it to the conference championship games.
I could see a 2 tear deal for either but them you can’t push money down the road. With Edmunds you can with a longer deal.
I would go Edmunds.
I would take edmunds over any free agent
But it has to work cap wise
I saw an article where USC QB Caleb Williams would like to be a Miami Dolphin after the 2024 draft. Said Miami would be his first choice. We’ll just have to see how Tua’s body holds up this season. We really don’t have any draft capital to trade up for him either.
Do you think Bobby Wagner got himself released so he could get a job in Miami?
I think it’s possible. (Of course there are other good places for him to go.)
But a Fangio style defense with that offensive scoring firepower,
that’s a LB’s dream.
I’d love to get one of those three you guys mention above.
David or Wagner or Tremaine.
I’d be worried David is worn out from being used so heavily in TB for so many years.
I’d be worried Tremaine has the buffalo stench clinging to him.
I’d be worried Wagner will take the money and slump.
We’ve wasted FA money on each one of those three
syndromes in the recent past @ LB.
Whichever one of those three our FO is sure is not true should be our guy.
