The winless Carolina Panthers at 0-5 come to Miami to take on the 4-1 1st place Miami Dolphins this Sunday, A.K.A Fest Day! This is the best Dolphins team we’ve seen in some time. The offense is incredible, although we have lost rookie sensation RB De’Von Achane for a few weeks as he was placed on IR this week, meaning he’ll miss at least 4 games until he’s eligible to return the week of November 19th against the Raiders. Incidentally, Jeff Wilson Jr. is eligible to return from the PUP list but it has yet to be determined if Wilson will be active. RB Salvon Ahmed and Chris Brooks will most likely share reps with Mostert, with Mostert getting the majority of the touches.
I think the majority of us have a lot of positive feelings with this team. The Buffalo game was a sobering beat down, but the team came back strong against the beleaguered NY Giants. The defense especially made their presence felt last week. In place of Jaelan Phillips, backup LB Andrew Van Ginkel has been stellar. He has made his absence tolerable, although it would be great to have both og them available. Jaelan Phillps logged in a limited practice Wednesday, along with other limited participants WR Tyreek Hill, OG Robert Jones, RB Raheem Mostert, RB Jeff Wilson Jr., and nice to see the return of DB Nik Needham, one of my faves. CB Xavien Howard (veteran rest), FB Alec Ingold (foot), and OC Connor Williams (groin), did not practice. Ingold has said he’s playing Sunday, but Williams is one to keep an eye on, and maybe a late decision.
The Dolphins are the #1 passing team with 1681 yards. The Dolphins are also the #1 rushing team with 929 yards. That’s crazy! This offense, with the exception of the 2nd half of the Bills game has been nearly unstoppable. On defense however, it’s a different story. The Dolphins have allowed the 12th most passing yards, and the 15th most rushing yards. Not terrible, but not championship level either. Vic Fangio may have the Dolphins defense turning the corner, although even a strong showing against the Panthers will still leave the question as to whether this defense, and team in general, can play well against one of the better teams, like the Philadelphia Eagles. We’ll play them the following Sunday, and they will be a better gauge as to where this team is heading.
It’s a shame the Festers won’t get to see RB De’Von Achane who just eats up yardage so quickly, averaging an outrageous 12.1 yards per carry. I’m not talking 5-10 carries, it’s 38. Raheem Mostert is also having a great year rushing and is averaging a whopping 5.4 yards per carry, which is less than half of the magic man, De’Von Achane, but still impressive. We will get to see Tyreek Hill, who has also been magical this season. Hill has 651 yards receiving and is averaging 18.1 YPR, crazy considering all the extra attention he receives. Jaylen Waddle has 245 yards receiving, 14.4 YPR. Braxton Berrios has been great getting open finding soft spots in the zones or just beating coverage to get open.
The Panthers will be showing off their rookie QB Bryce Young who is having a decent rookie season. Young has been sacked 12 times so far this season. Young has 750 yards passing with 5 TD’s and 4 INT’s and a 77 QBR. In contrast, Tua has 1614 yards, with 11 TD’s and 5 INT’s and a stellar 111.9 QBR. It would be nice to have a healthy Jaelan Phillips back, but it’s still unclear as to whether he will suit up. In any case, AVG is on fire right now, so this defense is going to bring it whether Phillips is there or not. I do hope we activate Nik Needham, but I think we have until the 29th to activate him, so it’s probably not happening this week.
No matter what happens at the game itself, this is a special time getting together with a great group. It’s such a pleasure to see you all each year, and of course, we’re thankful for Stanger’s hospitality, Chef Warren, communications man Hulk, transportation man Toba, and everyone who attends and makes it such a special time. It will be great to finally meet Herd, looking forward to that! Looking forward to meeting up again and having a great time while we’re together. Cheers!
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Fest Er First
Herd’s on her way, it’s official we’ll meet her👍
We’ll be heading out tomorrow morning, should be in Hollywood in the afternoon some time.
Sonny, you there yet?
No getting there tomorrow
Rock,
We average 50.5 points at home
Giving up only 18
We’re in good shape 💪🐬😁
Looking for something to do, here’s a good Tua video

Yo Mike E , it is celebrating Zach Thomas weekend … lots of jerseys and Zach shirts at the team store
Sweet! He’s the man!
That’s really cool
better that smacking him uspside the head….
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? 😂
Good thing
He’s a big dude. Big shoulders looks even bigger than he is
Sonny, I was thinking he might be dropping passes rather than catching them
That’s when you’re talking about the other teams guy lol
LOL
Never seen a vending machine run a crisp route either
Achane was incredible to watch live. I wouldn’t be surprised if he beat Cheetah in a race. He was flying down the field on the long TD
So y’all won’t get to see that but maybe we’ll get to see Claypool truck a few Panthers.
Mike maybe Zach will seek you out since you’ll be in town.
Ha! I’d be surprised if he remembered me, but I’d love to meet him again and congratulate him for getting into the HOF
Hey! Anyone want to discuss pressures and sacks? JKJBBLOL
Hunt injured not good! I’d guess Lester Cotton would be next up, unless Jones is ready to step in now
Man, hurry back dude
FEST – Oct 15 @ 1 pm against the Panthers.

Thank you, Mike E, as always….hopefully, see you tomorrow.
Yeah Krishna, see ya tomorrow pal! Love you man!
With Jones, Wilson, Claypool and Needham we have to clear a roster spot the rest are on the team. They could go Claypool for Anderson I mean Chosen. There’s tough roster decisions because we have to cut guys people would want not guys that go home and wait for the phone to ring.
None of those guys need to be activated this weekend. Pretty sure we have till the 29th. I could see Claypool getting a shot, he brings something a little different, maybe what we hoped Tanner Conner could give us
Is Twice + 1 two or three?
LOL — think it means he ain’t alone.
True that!
Sonny – who you got coming with you tomorrow?
I’m here!
Where’s the welcome committee? Where’s the parade?
😂🤣😂🤣
I’ll be happy to welcome you tomorrow 😊
We are across the city at the moment … let us know if ya up for a drink later today or not , we get travel days
I have played the fest game 4 times now between last night and this afternoon and at least on Madden they are no f’n slouches. If our Oline is banged up then we could be in trouble
I’m at home getting high and playing Madden with half my face “asleep” with the after effects of Novocaine.
2:20 in a chair in one sitting but he got all three roots and I don’t have to go back. Just need to get a crown. I need to be careful this weekend because he basically built me a fake tooth out of filling material until I get fitted for a crown. Don’t want to swallow it with pigs in a blanket at D&B LOL
Herd! Welcome to FLA! Where are you staying?
I’m not posting that on here.
You never know who might be reading….
I’m in stealth mode. 😂
lol true Twice + 1 could be two or three, but in this case it’s two individuals.
I’m in Ft. Lauderdale now visiting family…will be over to the Fest beach area starting tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
See you tomorrow
See you tomorrow
Good afternoon all,
Big Fest weekend coming up!!!
I’ve debated how to say this and when to say it. Still not sure so here it goes.
Everyone who saw me last year saw that I was going through some issues . Unfortunately they’re not getting better.
I’ve been diagnosed with ALS
I wanted too get it out so that everyone can have fun and I don’t spring it on you all while we’re all having a good time.
I haven’t lost my sense of humor yet.
Carolina Panthers taste just like Bald Eagle
Love you bro 💪
Can’t wait to see you we’ll have a great weekend
Love you brother, just don’t want to damper any fun. I’m basically like a river dancer. Paralyzed from the waist up
Love ya Captain!!! Look forward to seeing you hopefully tomorrow pal!!
Love you all
🙏🏻 to you Captain
You were awesome last year and you will be this year, too. Much love!
Welcome, See you tomorrow Herd 👍
Twice – I knew it was two, just needed to joke. Hopefully see ya tomorrow bud!
All good I knew you were just having fun! Look forward to catching up tomorrow
Cameron Wolfe
@CameronWolfe
Panthers star defenders Brian Burns (ankle) & Derrick Brown (knee/ankle) were downgraded to did not participate in practice today after being limited yesterday.
0-5 Panthers play 4-1 Dolphins, who have NFL’s No.1 ranked total offense, pass offense & rushing offense Sunday.
That could be helpful
Big time.
Captain, so sorry to hear that. I wish you nothing but the best as you deal with your illness.✌️❤️
Damn Capitan I am sorry to hear. But this weekend we celebrate our Phins and happy to have you in our company
Can’t wait to see you Capt
Capt
Sorry to hear. But I have faith in you to get through it.
I’m not going to be at the fest this year but please accept this post as a free pass to eat all the bacon you want at the fest
🥓 🥓 🥓🥓🥓🥓
me too? Like if I buy it for him?
No. You get liverwurst!
IK am watching a 2cellos marathon on my TV because my “multi remote” doesn’t do all the functions as my TV remote (which I cannot find for the life of me since Sunday) but somehow the Youtube app on the TV got selected and I can’t change it with the cable remote!! BOOMER! so I’m watching whatever Youtube shows me which is a 2 cellos marathon at the moment. LOL
One fourth of Tua’s games will be against Alabama QBs.
Including the next 3.
He is 1-0 so far.
Since y’all be busy on music Friday. A new one today by REN.
Damn Sunshine…I believe that was an anti-capitalism advertisement. Well done tho.
Capt
I am so sorry to hear of your medical issue.
We had fun partying with you at the Fest last year.
My wife says you were one of her favorites from the blog.
They have better treatments nowadays,
so I hope they can help you fight it.
Thanks everyone, I’ll never give up!!!
That’s the spirit!
Sending you ✌🏻 and ❤️. Looking forward to meeting you.
Mon Capitan Stubbs,
Damn, I’m saddened by your diagnosis, my Mob Brother. 😦
It’s so encouraging that you have the great attitude to never give up.
We shall meet one day soon at a Fest, and I’m really looking forward to it, man!
Alright love you all and can’t wait to meet up with you crazy peeps!!
However I can’t believe that the spread is Kansas city winning by 10.5
I know that’s a lot, but it’s Denver That’s for the betting peeps
Now that I said that, Denver will win lol
DOMINATE ON THREE ONE TWO THREE
DOMINATE
Russell Wilson blows. His skills have really diminished
Has everyone lost their damn minds over Taylor Swift? I don’t dislike her, like some of her stuff but OMG…it’s getting a bit much.
Travis Kelce will soon be just another lyric
I agree, but it’s because she wears tee shirts..
OMG Wilson blows
Those QBs, that make a living with their legs deteriorate much faster, than pocket Tuabacks
DAMN Wilson got paid and went to shit
Hang in there Capt, attitude is the most important thing, seems like you’ve got it figured out
Enjoyed talking with you at the 2021 Fest, I’ll see you next year
So Mahomes is doing a Zach Wilson impression
Russell Wilson isn’t having a bad year, y’all. 11 TDs to 2 INTs, 1,210 passing yards, and a 106.1 passer rating entering this evening.
He’s beating Patrick Mahomes in nearly every stat except for passing yards.
Stats look good but play does not. Also a lot of his stats come in garbage time. He is flat out horrible right now. He is afraid to throw the ball
I agree that he’s shrunk from the player he once had been.
But to flat-out say he’s horrible right now is a stretch. Last year? Yes. This year? No.
Can’t figure out our prime password as it is the kids set up and of course have it saved on home tv. Damn kid ain’t answering his texts or phone
Not missing anything
Wilson became more concerned with a Hollywood image than professional success
^
I absolutely agree with this… but he doesn’t suck this year.
Ya, he kinda does
He does suck. Stats are like pressures…
Wow Wilson is bad
Wilson looks scared to throw the ball. He is not making any contested throws. You watch Tua and when he plants his foot and that ball comes out. Wilson is dancing around back there. You can’t tell me that Jeudy and Sutton can’t find ways to get open
Tough crowd tonight! LOL
I’m not even trying to stick up for Russell Wilson, either! 🙂
Yes, he’s been rather dreadful this evening, to be sure. But he is playing against the #1 seed in the AFC (The Chefs*). 😉
Alright. This game sucks but not in ways I expected it to. I got to rise early to catch a plane. See a bunch of you tomorrow
Be well, Hulkster! Have a great night and hope you have the best of times at the Fest!
Where ya goin😜
I’m still rooting hard for the Broncos tonight. They can do it!
That potent KC Offense isn’t blowing the Broncos out at halftime (like we did).
Me too, however Wilson isn’t looking that good. Goodnight Team 3
KC is the pseudo #1 seed in the AFC, TBD in our Germany game, if we stay in contention all year
We just need to keep stacking W’s
Stats schmats for Wilson
This game is likely over already. *sigh*
I want the #1 seed in the AFC… like, NOW! 😀
Too early to worry about tie breakers
Last week Buffalo had the tie breaker, but we play again in Miami, so did they really have it?
Week 18 we both have the same record, but they have the tie breaker, which means nothing, since winner would take division and we’re at home, so who really has the advantage?
Cap’n. Really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Stay strong and enjoy supporting the fins and the support of the mob. Win one for the Cap’n.
Fins up
Offensive Evolution: The Miami Dolphins will now feature a ‘Vending Machine’
Can a vending machine average 12 yards per carry?
By Jacob Mendel@JMendel94 Oct 12, 2023, 7:37pm EDT 5 Comments / 5 New
NFL: New York Giants at Miami Dolphins
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
The frustration of Skittles teetering on the edge outweighs the delight of watching a two-for-one Big Texas cinnamon bun special fall three stories into the delivery bin. Unlike the office building or rest stop, the Miami Dolphins began the year 4-1 without easy access to a vending machine.
That said, according to wide receiver Tyreek Hill — times are changing!
Hill, meeting with the media on Thursday, shared an eccentric scouting report of Chase Claypool, who joined the team in a trade with the Chicago Bears late last week.
What’s crazy is he looks like a vending machine out there when he’s running,” Hill explained. “Very fast, very fluid in his routes. He’s definitely going to be a huge addition to this team, whether it’s blocking, whether it’s receiving the ball, whether it’s whatever this team needs him to do. I’m very happy to have him here.
“I feel like with the group that we’ve got everybody is competitive, everybody wants to get better each and every day. That’s going to help him get better. It’s all about challenging each other. At the same time, I’m telling these young guys, ‘Y’all are making my job easy.’ I’m excited to have him.”
Hill’s unconventional responses make him one of the league’s best interviews and all jokes aside, Claypool could end up being the vending machine coach Mike McDaniel’s offense needs.
The 2020 second-round pick won’t have Mountain Dew or M&M’s on the sideline, but Claypool towers over the rest of Miami’s receivers. At 6’4”, he’s slightly taller than Robbie Chosen (6’3”) and Cedrick Wilson Jr. (6’2”), but his 238-pound frame is 40 pounds more than any other receiver on the roster.
“Obviously, everybody is battling for reps, but at the same time the mentality is all about winning, the mentality is all about team,” Hill explained. “I think that’s what Coach [McDaniel] was aiming for. I feel like Chase Claypool gets a bad rap for probably not being a team guy, but from what I’ve seen, he’s been a heck of a teammate so far.”
Claypool has yet to take the field in aqua and orange but sounds ready to help the offense maintain its record-setting pace.
“Anything I can do to that is an awesome opportunity for me, and I’m really excited about that and excited to be a part of it,” he said on Thursday.
Happy Birthday Sonny! 🌞
Happy B’Day, Son. The Fins will give you a present on Sunday.
Happy Birthday Son!!!
Happy Birthday SON!!! Have a great day
Happy Birthday Son! 🥳🎂🎉
Happy Birthday, Son! Enjoy the fest and hoping everyone else does as well.
Birthday beers 🍻
Are the Chiefs really all that?
They lost to the Lions 21-20 at home
Beat Jaguars 17-9
Beat Bears 41-10 at home
Beat Jets 23-20
Beat Vikings 27-20
Beat Broncos 19-8 at home
Chiefs have Chargers next week then Broncos again before facing us.
They are the home team for all their remaining tough games vs Eagles, Bills and Dolphins (overseas).
They have a really easy schedule this year.
Watching that game last night, how was Kelce always open? He didn’t do anything special. Most of his routes he just ran 8-10 yards to the middle of the field and turned around.
LB Frank Clark is being released by the Broncos, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported.
QB Daniel Jones (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game versus the Bills, per head coach Brian Daboll. QB Tyrod Taylor is slated to start.
Also out vs Bills for Giants:
OT Matt Peart (shoulder) out, per Daboll.
OT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) out, per Daboll.
C John Michael Schmitz (shoulder) out, per Daboll.
LB Azeez Ojulari (ankle) out, per Daboll.
Sam LaPorta is the #1 ranked TE in the NFL going into week 6. Who da thunk it?
Happy Birthday Son!
Happy B-Day, Son! Have a great one.

I saw a proposal that we should trade for DE Chase Young. He is healthy now after missing game 1. Commanders didn’t exercise his 5th year option and he is a FA in 2024. After 6 weeks into the season, he should only cost around 3.5 mil.
Just don’t know what the Commanders would seek in a trade.
Ok, now that we know Eich is our starting center this week, I’m a little less confident…
No Burns helps . Carolina doesn’t have Buffalo’s DL. I think we’ll be fine .
Yep, I still expect a relatively easy win, but we may not pull away until the 2nd half.
Hey, Captain, it was a pleasure to meet you last year. You’re the man; stay strong, brother!
You as well my friend
🍻
Happy birthday wishes, Son!!!
One of the reasons we can run our offense even with a guy like Eichenberg is our blocking schemes and how fast we get into our routes and Tua delivers the ball. We have RBs who waste no time hitting the gap and it’s fast.
Our Offense seemed to fail in Buffalo… with Eich as our Center.
We scored 21 points but our defense couldn’t stop them. Buffalo was the better team that day, it wasn’t on Eichenberg. But Buffalo is no longer that defense, they took three major hits.
Speaking of Centers…
Nice, we’ll see if he enters the draft. Looked at him some just now. He played most of his snaps at RG last year. Didn’t allow a sack then either.
The 2024 draft is stacking up with some nice OL talent.
Some guy named Frank Ragnow is PFF’s #1 rated Center through 5 games thus far. Geez, where have I heard that name before?
Right, lol
Miss you guys!!!!!!!!!
Rock and roll rock and rolll!!!!!!
Don’t miss next year
Wooooooooopooo.
No pooo just woooo
Had a great birthday y’all are awesome.
Herds cooler than you thought she was what a pleasure to meet her
Thanks everyone. Go Fins !!!
Who is this “you” you speak of? I always thought she was cooler. (Still working on being the recipient of the non-travel-ables here 😁)
It’s a crazy world so enjoy festers. Why not, it’s all we know.🙂
We have 12 games to go at 4-1 and some of you are scouting prospects for next year. Anyone else think that’s a little…
One does not take away from the other! 😉
Some are probably looking at non draft eligible players for 2 years from now.
It’s like trying to find the right powder to bullet ratio. Never ending
Some are probably looking at non draft eligible players for 2 years from now.
———-
I will not confess, but this could be true….
I was just joking around.🙂
Not even hung over this morning.
It’s like trying to find the right powder to bullet ratio. Never ending

Yo, been doing that with my Steyr .308 this fall before hunting season. Finally settled on and sighted in with Hornady Superformance, .308 Winchester, SST, 165 Grain.

Don’t make a draft junky try to explain, dammit! 😉
Again lol

BBM- I think Ingold will play, Phillips (hype-boy) will not
Looking that way. We need to find a way to resign AVG.
Panthers bringing up a CB from the practice squad to start. Waddle or Berrios is going to feast tomorrow.
Good point,
plus 2 safeties are out so the help over top on Hill might be iffy!
No Burns either. We should put up 30-40 points
I think we are holding Connor Williams out to save him for the Eagles.
I think McDaniel thinks we can beat the Panthers without him, but did not want to say that out loud to give them any bulletin board material or seem to be arrogant.
I think he’s been doing the same thing with Phillips. As long as AVG is playing so well, we may as well give Philips plenty of time to heal up for the late season and playoffs.
This would be a good game to rest Ingold and ease Claypool into the mix.
