The winless Carolina Panthers at 0-5 come to Miami to take on the 4-1 1st place Miami Dolphins this Sunday, A.K.A Fest Day! This is the best Dolphins team we’ve seen in some time. The offense is incredible, although we have lost rookie sensation RB De’Von Achane for a few weeks as he was placed on IR this week, meaning he’ll miss at least 4 games until he’s eligible to return the week of November 19th against the Raiders. Incidentally, Jeff Wilson Jr. is eligible to return from the PUP list but it has yet to be determined if Wilson will be active. RB Salvon Ahmed and Chris Brooks will most likely share reps with Mostert, with Mostert getting the majority of the touches.
I think the majority of us have a lot of positive feelings with this team. The Buffalo game was a sobering beat down, but the team came back strong against the beleaguered NY Giants. The defense especially made their presence felt last week. In place of Jaelan Phillips, backup LB Andrew Van Ginkel has been stellar. He has made his absence tolerable, although it would be great to have both og them available. Jaelan Phillps logged in a limited practice Wednesday, along with other limited participants WR Tyreek Hill, OG Robert Jones, RB Raheem Mostert, RB Jeff Wilson Jr., and nice to see the return of DB Nik Needham, one of my faves. CB Xavien Howard (veteran rest), FB Alec Ingold (foot), and OC Connor Williams (groin), did not practice. Ingold has said he’s playing Sunday, but Williams is one to keep an eye on, and maybe a late decision.
The Dolphins are the #1 passing team with 1681 yards. The Dolphins are also the #1 rushing team with 929 yards. That’s crazy! This offense, with the exception of the 2nd half of the Bills game has been nearly unstoppable. On defense however, it’s a different story. The Dolphins have allowed the 12th most passing yards, and the 15th most rushing yards. Not terrible, but not championship level either. Vic Fangio may have the Dolphins defense turning the corner, although even a strong showing against the Panthers will still leave the question as to whether this defense, and team in general, can play well against one of the better teams, like the Philadelphia Eagles. We’ll play them the following Sunday, and they will be a better gauge as to where this team is heading.
It’s a shame the Festers won’t get to see RB De’Von Achane who just eats up yardage so quickly, averaging an outrageous 12.1 yards per carry. I’m not talking 5-10 carries, it’s 38. Raheem Mostert is also having a great year rushing and is averaging a whopping 5.4 yards per carry, which is less than half of the magic man, De’Von Achane, but still impressive. We will get to see Tyreek Hill, who has also been magical this season. Hill has 651 yards receiving and is averaging 18.1 YPR, crazy considering all the extra attention he receives. Jaylen Waddle has 245 yards receiving, 14.4 YPR. Braxton Berrios has been great getting open finding soft spots in the zones or just beating coverage to get open.
The Panthers will be showing off their rookie QB Bryce Young who is having a decent rookie season. Young has been sacked 12 times so far this season. Young has 750 yards passing with 5 TD’s and 4 INT’s and a 77 QBR. In contrast, Tua has 1614 yards, with 11 TD’s and 5 INT’s and a stellar 111.9 QBR. It would be nice to have a healthy Jaelan Phillips back, but it’s still unclear as to whether he will suit up. In any case, AVG is on fire right now, so this defense is going to bring it whether Phillips is there or not. I do hope we activate Nik Needham, but I think we have until the 29th to activate him, so it’s probably not happening this week.
No matter what happens at the game itself, this is a special time getting together with a great group. It’s such a pleasure to see you all each year, and of course, we’re thankful for Stanger’s hospitality, Chef Warren, communications man Hulk, transportation man Toba, and everyone who attends and makes it such a special time. It will be great to finally meet Herd, looking forward to that! Looking forward to meeting up again and having a great time while we’re together. Cheers!
GO DOLPHINS!!!

I love our depth this year.
Lamm has been great as a “spot starter.”
Our RB room and WR room both have shown great depth.
For Tim. 😉 Traded down in the 5th and got an extra 7th.
29. Graham Barton OT Duke
61. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina
163. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin
166. Keith Randolph Jr. DT Illinois
189. Curtis Jacobs LB Penn State
217. Nehemiah Pritchett CB Auburn
221. Audric Estime RB Notre Dame (he won’t last this long)
Said fuck it at pick 2 and had to go with the WR. He will fit right into MM’s wheelhouse.
I don’t think Chase Claypool is going to stick so I had to do a new mock just to add WR Xavier Legette from South Carolina. As a 5th year senior, SC finally figured out how to use him.
He is 6’3, 227 and could run a 40 as fast as Tyreek at 4.29!
In a TD catch and run vs Mississippi State this year he was clocked at 22.3 MPH which is faster than Tyreek’s fastest time this year of 22.07 MPH.
In the first 5 games this year he has 32 rec for 606 yards.
He hit 22.3 MPH on the first play in this video.
😂@ BBMike
Our depth would be sick!! Trey Benson would be an immediate upgrade over Jeff Wilson.
RB Trey Benson is 6’1, 223 pounds and is as fast as Waddle (4.37). Last weekend in the same game, he posted 2 of the top 10 fastest times for week 6 in college football. He was clocked at 21.1 MPH and another time at 22.0 MPH.
29. Graham Barton OT Duke
61. Trey Benson RB Florida State
157. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina
163. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin
189. Curtis Jacobs LB Penn State
221. Omari Thomas DT Tennessee
Tim, you laughed to soon!
Not just adding more speed, but speed with size.
OK, I’m done lol
Actually, if I took a RB in the 2nd round, it would probably have to be RB Blake Corum from Michigan. He’s 5’8 but a very solid 213 pounds. He runs right at about a 4.4 flat. He has sick moves similar to Achane.
Just looking to upgrade over Jeff Wilson who is a terrible receiver.
and not fast. lol
and he stays injured as much as Armstead.
He does have some good running skills though. He’s a good fit in our system because he gets it and goes. He’s got deceptive speed.
I will agree with that. Him and Ahmed aren’t that fast but have that deceptive speed you mention.
Yeah the same with Ahmed, they both play faster than their 40 times.
Trey Benson or Blake Corum would be my replacement for Jeff Wilson who would only be a 780K dead cap hit if released and save 3 mil toward our 2024 cap which we need.
WR Xavier Legette would be my replacement for Cedric Wilson/Chase Claypool who are both UFA next year.
good work, BBM
I think you’re on the right track as far as upgrading here and there while at the same time reducing the payroll.
This is how you build a dynasty. Or at least a team that gets into the playoffs nearly every year and threatens a deep run.
I can definitely see us drafting a WR. Not sure what round though.
Same here. That guy I mentioned is one who could go anywhere from the 6th to 2nd round. He is on the level of a one-year wonder. Just now exploding as a 5th year Senior.
He is also a ST ace for South Carolina.
I think we need to target OL in the draft. We need some good youth going forward.
I was able to do that above. LT Graham Barton is a stud. Was Duke’s starting center as a freshman then moved out to LT and been there since. In 2022, he was the only power 5 conference tackle on the year with an 85.0 grade or higher in both pass and run blocking.
Hmmm…
Getting Ramsey and Needham back down the stretch could really be the key to us making a serious championship run.
This shit is getting ridiculous.
Teams can do an entire performance in the end zone but the peace sign has just gone too damn far.🤣
Tim and that’s even after a pick not necessarily even a score. But God forbid you put up a PEACE sign going in in ten yards ahead of the nearest defender
Yeah it’s pretty silly.
Sauce Gardner is out for the Jets tomorrow against the Eagles.
Go Eagles.
(This week only.)
Hey BBM
Legette just caught a 46 yd pass.
Not able to watch that game but I see he has 4 rec for 108 so far.
Bo Nix sure is a different QB since leaving Auburn to play at Oregon.
Through first 5 games he has completed 80% of his passes, 15 TD’s to 1 INT. Did well his first year (last year) at Oregon also.
He’s another QB with 1st round potential meaning he could push another player down to us.
BBMike,
Graham Barton has definitely been on my radar too.
And now, thanks to you, Xavier Legette has appeared on my radar. JMO, but he’s got the potential to go hella early due to his outrageous SPEED and size. He’ll probably kill the Combine and go in the 1st round.
I think he is rising up draft boards but I just wonder how far with this being the only year of significant production.
IMO, there will be teams who will take the risk (lack of previous production) in order to reap the reward… in order to mimic our Phins with SPEED. Not to mention, he’s a physical FREAK.
I definitely foresee a movement to replicate what the Mike McDaniel Offense has already achieved… the NEED for SPEED.
Perhaps it’s recency bias, to go for speed over talent, but it won’t be the first time. For years (for instance), Al Davis was trying to achieve what Coach McDaniel has successfully achieved.
Trends are trendy! LOL
Don’t know who is keeping track of the predicted scores this week, but I’m going 45-13, Phins Up!
And Chase Claypool will get his first TD as a Phin!
We are all AWOL

ND brought Caleb Williams down to Earth yesterday. Nice! Wonder which ND team will show up next week? SMH/LOL
Enjoy festers!!!
ND senior Safety Xavier Watts had a career day yesterday with 2 INT’s and a scoop and score on a fumble to go with 7 tackles.
Might need to take a closer look at him though safety not high on the list.
Enjoy the fest Festers

Too much wishful thinking for me to go there
It would be cool if we got him back before the BYE
I’ll take that
Check your team
He’ll probably start practicing at the pace that Jones and Needham were doing to get back into football mode. I wouldn’t expect him to play in a game until after the bye.
and… RT throws an INT on 3rd and 1
Some things never change
QB Skylar Thompson
CB Kelvin Joseph
OL Connor Williams
TE Tyler Kroft
WR Chase Claypool
DT Brandon Pili
Claypool is inactive today
May be waiting to insert him with a special package at Philly?!?
I think that’s the target date
Toba – my screen doesn’t haven’t anyone out on a bye today
You have a couple inactive
I don’t though – I checked multiple times
Wr and te possibly
Either I don’t know what I’m doing or you are wrong
When you look at lineup it shows everyone playing today or Monday night
My TE is NJoku and my wRs are Kirk, Adams and Tabk Dell
All those players are active today
The festers get to watch some more Eichenberg goodness today. 🤪
I honestly think Eichenberg will be fine
People have been overreacting about OL for a couple of years now
OL and CB are always the whipping boy positions
Either you are a perennial pro bowler or people constantly criticize you
As long as we can run our offense I don’t care what his rating is.
I’d like to see a solid performance from our defense today.
A second carrier group being sent to Israel. As if we are not close enough to WWIII already.
Sorry, back to football.
It’s a deterrent to keep others from joining the fight. This is between Israel and Hamas.
Oops Tank Dell is out
☹️
I liked him coming out of college but always thought he would get banged up a lot. He’s a bean pole.
I picked him up to replace Justin Jefferson
So it’s like a curse at this point
So pick up a bill or an eagle 😎
K throat s what I thought. But I moved Jefferson to res so ya don’t need to drop anyone to pick up a player. Once he is off IR you will need to drop a player
Maybe I’ll drop Jefferson
🤪
Phillips is active
I’m making soup while watching the game
Today
Is that a new tradition?
🥣 🐖💨
Toba
Guys like Gabe Davis were available
And I was just like
Nope!
I ended up with Brandon Cooks – since I’m a long time fan of his
He will probably get hurt on MNF now that I picked him up
Ravens win, boo
anyone have a stream link?
I’m going to try nflbite. It worked last weekend.
GO PHINS!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
Happy “Fest”-ivus to all who are celebrating!!
I have a feeling our offense will have a different feel without Achane’s speed in backfield. Yes, Mostert is fast, but Achane’s burst through the holes seems quicker. Our run game might be a bit more ‘bruising’.
Miami Olphins
Pathetic showing, Defense.
Well, the defense sucks
Why?
What a shitty call for 3rd and 1. smh
Great call, poor execution. Mostert would have had a ton of yards if Tua threw an accurate pass.
Straight garbage
Pathetic showing, Offense.
So did Fangio do Drills on how NOT to tackle?
I am so tired of shitty tackling
Can’t stop the run no matter who we play.
Yeah. No bull shit, this team is 4-1, but we are in real trouble on D
Miami Lphins. Smh
This fangio defense has been a huge disappointment so far
Understatement of the season
I can hear Orob screaming about the Fest Curse right now. Team needs to get it together.
We can stop the run, we don’t tackle well, and we don’t force turnovers. That’s a recipe for disaster
Wow, this D
Defense makes one play and gives up 5
What a shock! 12 men in the field again for the 10th time this season
How many 12 man penalties is that this year?
14-0 to an 0-5 team. just wow. 😦
This Defense fucking SUCKS!!!
Getting embarrassed at home
The dolphins just have a way of fucking up fest week
I don’t care who you’re playing and what their record is you don’t spot an opponent 14 pts and pretend to have SB aspirations. This D just doesn’t work consistently. That gets you knocked out of sudden death games
The D fucking sucks, and Fangio is the most overpaid coach in the NFL right now.
Offense needs a TD here
Especially not fun for the festers
What’s scary is we seem to have issues at all 3 levels on D.
And still having operational issues in week 6
k here comes the comeback.
Our blockers ran by everyone they should have blocked on that end around to Mostert.
At least we can score quickly, but even our O doesn’t work half so well without Achane
That was a 🍑
YAY!!! We’re on the board!!!
1st and goal run up the middle, Eich just standing there looking stupid
Nice drive. Gave the D time to get their heads out of their asses
Man, we needed that TD. Players finally looked like they had “urgent energy” on that drive.
Let’s see if Defense can find that same energy.
good drive
Cheetah brings that Cheetah energy to the stadium!
He pumped up the crowd… and the whole team after his 1st down run.
D needs a stop
Tackling
Or two more missed tackles
Omg Baker
I wonder if we can cut ties with Baker this off-season . He kind of sucks
He really does.
No point in giving them cushion if you don’t tackle right away
Ok, let’s tue this up
That was lucky.
Whew
I see Fangio is moving AVG all over the place. So far, I’ve seen AVG at DE, ILB, and OLB.
Thanks for the field position

————-
I think we do cut ties with Baker this offseason. Yes, he kind of sucks is right.
WAY over-paid.
Shitty tackler, never makes big plays
M13, what you think of the big ILB from Ohio State? Can’t remember name
Honestly, I’ve not even looked at Ohio State players, other than their top WR.
Wtf? Is that a challenge?
It’s a ‘the league hates the Fins so let’s review it’challenge from NY
Turnovers on downs aren’t automatically reviewed, right? It has to be a challenge
I guess they can booth review on TO on downs
