“It’s time for me to hang it up. It’s been a great ride and I appreciate everything that came with it over the years,” Barrett wrote on Instagram. “I’m ready to shift my full focus to my wife and kids … [I know] to some it’ll be a surprise, but I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and the decision has never been more clear [than] it is now.”
This was obviously a surprise to the Dolphins front office, and so now the Dolphins will be looking for another veteran to fill the OLB shoes previously occupied by Barrett. Emmanuel Ogbah will making a visit and do a workout for the Dolphins tomorrow. The Dolphins are quite familiar with Ogbah as he has played the last 4 seasons here in Miami. Despite Ogbah being here last season, it was by far the fewest amount of snaps (25%) he’s played in his NFL career. Part of this is where Ogbah fits. The Dolphins last season had Zach Sieler and Christian Wilkins, and I feel defensive end is where Ogbah fits best, not at OLB.
The Dolphins have already signed veteran Calais Campbell to play on the D-line. so I’m not so sure signing Ogbah is in the cards. Not to say he couldn’t be an upgrade over whomever it will be at DE opposite Sieler that will be getting the majority of snaps, but if we’re doing a true rotation, is that something Ogbah wants to be a part of? We’ll find out more after Monday’s workout/discussion.
The Dolphins do have rookies Chop Robinson and Mo Kamara ready to step in for Chubb and Phillips when necessary, and potentially Cam Goode when he’s healthy. Goode was injured in the final regular season game against Buffalo during the pivotal 96 yard punt return in the season finale. I’ll be watching with some interest if they sign Ogbah, and curious to see how they use him if they decide to reunite. Ogbah played mostly on the D-line last season and managed to still somehow churn out 5.5 sacks in only 246 snaps. Ogbah’s first season in Miami (2020), Ogbah played nearly 800 snaps (793). That season, and the next as well, Ogbah managed 9.0 sacks each season. To be clear, he accomplished 9 sacks in each of his first 2 seasons playing DE, RDE in 2020, and then LDE in 2021. I think he’s better in hand to hand combat at end rather than speed rushing which is more common off the edge.
Do you believe the Dolphins should sign Ogbah?
GO DOLPHINS!!!

From the Herald:
Notes and nuggets from the Dolphins’ first training camp session on Wednesday: ▪ Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is limiting his practice participation amid ongoing contract negotiations, participated in two plays in 11-on-11 work, and both were handoffs.
Coach Mike McDaniel indicated before practice that he expected Tagovailoa’s participation in Wednesday’s first camp session to be similar to what he did in the offseason program, when he did not participate in 11-on-11 drills because of contract talks. Tagovailoa wants a lucrative deal to replace his fifth-year option, which will pay him $23.1 million this season.
McDaniel said the situation is “fluid.” Tagovailoa worked in 7-on-7 drills; his first completion went to Tyreek Hill. He also made a nice sideline throw to Erik Ezukanma. Second-year edge player Zeke Vandenburgh, who missed his rookie season with an injury, intercepted Tagovailoa’s pass to tight end Tanner Conner, but that wasn’t Tagovailoa’s fault. The ball was bobbled by Conner and deflected into the air.
▪ The defense dominated the practice, which featured more-than-desired work from No. 4 quarterback Gavin Hardison, who doesn’t seem to have a good mastery of the offense. After practice, offensive line coach Butch Barry verbally reprimanded his players.
▪ Some defensive notes: Safety Marcus Maye, signed in May, dropped an interception from undrafted UTEP rookie quarterback Hardison.. UCLA edge rusher Grayson Murphy had a sack of Hardison on what seemed to be a botched handoff…. Linebacker Quinton Bell had a nice deflection at the line of scrimmage… Second-year defensive tackle Brandon Pili appeared to sack Hardison (there’s no tackling) but Hardison scrambled around and threw a pass that Jordan Poyer intercepted. Former Bills cornerback Siran Neal, who will be a core special teams player for Miami, picked off Hardison on the next play. … Poyer made contact with Jaylen Waddle on a pass from Mike White…. Kendall Fuller deflected a pass to Hill on 11-on-11s… Emmanuel Ognah had a sack of White in 11-on-11s.
▪ Some offensive notes: Skylar Thompson delivered a nice slant to Hill for a first down.. De’Von Achane had a nifty run to the left side; he weaved through the interior defensive line. River Cracraft caught a slant from Hardison to end practice.
▪ Ogbah, who is working with the edge players and not the defensive linemen after signing with Miami on Tuesday, looks a little heavier than normal. But what can we realistically expect from someone who didn’t have a team until two days ago? And he had a sack on the first day of practice.
▪ Even though McDaniel said Terron Armstead is in phenomenal shape and healthy, the Dolphins starting left tackle wasn’t on the field for the first practice. Kendall Lamm and rookie Patrick Paul will likely handle the left tackle workload until Armstead is taken out of bubble wrap.
▪ New Dolphins defensive lineman Calais Campbell is massive, but his movement is slow. We’re not sure if he’s pacing himself, or showing his age (37).
▪ New defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver spent the individual periods of practice with the edge rushers and gave rookie first-round pick Chop Robinson some pointers on his technique.
▪ Jevon Holland did a somersault covering a Tagovailoa pass to Malik Washington. Got banged up a little but gave the team a thumbs-up. Miami Herald sportswriter Barry Jackson contributed to this report.
Of course Ogbah is working with the Edge players, that’s why he was signed
@AdamSchefter
Former Dolphins and Cowboys free-agent OL Connor Williams passed his physical with the Seahawks and has begun negotiations with Seattle, per source. No deal is considered imminent, and Williams still is speaking with other teams as well, per source.
————
Looks as though Connor and his agent weren’t lying after all… he’s healthy and ready to go.
It seems we’ve moved on.
I do agree.
We didn’t sign Brewer because we don’t think he’s good. But if he does not live up to expectations, his contract is easily voidable.
Exactly.
@NFL_DovKleiman
Pro Bowl LT Trent Williams is not practicing for contract reasons, per HC Kyle Shanahan
The 49ers now have to deal with him and Brandon Aiyuk.
That was riveting. 🤣
I think we have some really solid depth in the secondary with the additions of Neal and Maye.
Isn’t Neal mainly a STs player?
Yes, I think he ranks about #5 out of the 10 CB’s on the roster. It’s close between him and Needham for that #5 spot.
I also heard OLB Quinton Bell had a very good first practice after sitting out his rookie year.
We only have 4 OLB who can practice right now so we/they will get a good look at Bell this TC and preseason.
He’s not a rookie, he’s in his 3rd year at 28 years old.
You guys with so-called ‘conspiracy theories’, y’all make me LOL. Too many sheep, and that’s why the CIA itself coined the phrase back in the 50s… to debunk and alienate anybody who got close to the truth.
I’d like to think most of y’all knew this, but I’m beginning to wonder now.
It begins and ends with the FACT that a former president was nearly assassinated under the watch of the SS. That’s all one needs to understand… and why ‘Cheeto’ resigned after providing ZERO data to the investigation.
VERY obviously, the SS is obstructing justice. Why, one might ask? The answer is rather clear, of course.
So the most powerful cabal/organization/deep state put all their eggs in the basket of 20 year old disaffected kid who couldn’t make his high school’s rifle team. Sure…
the rifles in the color guard don’t shoot🤔
how would it have looked, if they hired a hit man, this kid was groomed for the hit
it was a shooting team he failed to make
Why groom someone who is not competent? LOL. The dark masters have lost their touch
nice try with your conspiracy theory
https://www.foxnews.com/us/trump-gunman-thomas-crooks-high-school-corrects-misconceptions-says-he-wasnt-rifle-team
Okay he is a trained sniper NWO operative 🤣
his classmate Jason Myers said. “He was asked not to come back because how bad of a shot he was,” said Myers, who was a member of the varsity rifle team and Crooks’ classmate. “It was considered like, dangerous.” After failing to make the roster, Crooks allegedly never tried out for the squad again. Myers, who graduated in 2022 with the suspected shooter, told reporters he and Crooks were close in elementary school, but they did not remain friends in high school.
The most alarming thing to me is that there is video of citizens seeing the assassin before the SS.
get a clue, nothing to see here
the SS has been 100% transparent
Mike /Randy: I’ve seen Styx a couple times in last 5 years .. they still put on a great show.. Tommy Shaw still looks 19 years old
The thing people are forgetting about Brewer is that his skill set is perfect for our offense. He’s very athletic and physical at the 2nd level. Our ZBS isn’t about mauling but concerted blocking techniques to move defenders off the play spot.
That’s true, but it seems every close big game comes down to can you score on your last drive, not sure how much his run blocking helps down 4 with a minute and a half left
The ZBS is about moving defenders off their spot so that skill players can obtain space and get chunk yards.
What does that have to do with winning time, when you have to throw?
Hmmm… 1st downs and crazy shit like that. 😂
so 1st downs when you have to throw can be achieved by a ZBS run blocking center
what RU smoking?
C’mon Yellowstone super volcano. Make the election irrelevant
😂
There surely will be some opportunities for several players, mostly on D in this year’s camp
Offense too. Some key role players.
Foot ball is back! (almost)
From the PBP
The SECRET service not being transparent!?? GET OUT! FFS
🤣
The hearing very much needed to be a closed hearing because it is irresponsible and dangerous to public discuss what measures and how those measures are performed to protect our most important citizens. It should have been a closed hearing so they can perform oversight. These open hearings are just political theater to gin up the base. Sure let’s discuss when and how we use drones so it is easier for the next bad actor. Sure tell the world the protocol and step by step procedures. NO YOU SIR DO NOT NEED TO AND SHOULD NOT KNOW.
Now go to the FOX blog to complain about it.
even in closed hearings they don’t answer any questions

So the most powerful cabal/organization/deep state put all their eggs in the basket of 20 year old disaffected kid who couldn’t make his high school’s rifle team. Sure…
——–
Yet this same kid has had years since 15 years old — plus access to some of the longest private rifle ranges in the country — to hone his craft. I guarantee ya that Tua was better at 20 years old than what he was at 15 years old, for example.
What up with his (private) financial overseas records? That’s not normal for a 20-year old. He registered as a Republican to influence the outcome of the Republican primaries. And why on Earth did nobody do anything about him when he was spotted on the rooftop (with gun) nearly an hour before he was able to take 8 shots at Trump?
There is a REASON why the SS is being asked simple questions on Capital Hill, and why they aren’t being transparent. No comms to provide??? No timelines to provide??? ‘Slope-Gate’??? Blaming it on local (Butler) officials???
Yeah… nothing to see here…
And the smoking gun — at least to me — is how the SS will NOT provide security to RFK Jr. This is a political animal we’re dealing with here, and the Dems have now coronated Kamala as their candidate… without receiving a single vote from WE THE PEOPLE.
Communism must fail if we’re to survive as the United States of America. The shooter was a communist, and there are now links to a certain somebody who helped him (fellow communist).
Lastly, how the FUCK did the shooter get involved in BlackRock commercials? Hulkster, the evidence is all there, my man. That’s not a ‘conspiracy theory’, those are FACTS, my guy.
Oh Lord you have drank the kool aid. He is a 20 year old disaffected kid who is not a particularly good shot. If the deep state whatever that may be was going to kill somebody they would be a little more efficient
I disagree… which is why a 20-year old, disaffected kid was the trigger man. Do ya think they’d actually put Killary Clinton on that rooftop? LOL
Hey, it’s all good talking about this. I don’t want ya to think I’m upset with ya on a person level, and I hope vice-versa. We just see it differently, apparently.
BTW he was only in the Black Rock add because it was featuring investment opportunities for retiring teachers. They focused on a teacher who taught at Crooks HS. Crooks was shown only in a pan shot of the class room along with other students. And so the conspiracies swirled
SFBJ – To quote Forrest Gump, “I’m not a smart man…,” but there was no deep state conspiracy to off Trump. On one hand you had an unfuckable, disaffected looking for attention and 15 minutes of fame. On the other you had the very normal incompetence of one of our government agencies (which apparently some of you underestimate tremendously). The Democrats only fault is the hate speech they use against Trump to cause it. That’s it. Nothing more.
For the record, I’ll be voting for Trump, despite the fact that he is an obnoxious, loud-mouth New Yorker over an incompetent, slept her way (Willie Brown) into the Peter Principal moron. And I believe the Democratic Party has lost its way and many of it’s supporters hate Trump more than they love America.
Well said
Pretty much how a lot of people feel.
The difference between Trump and Biden:
Trump never admitted he lost and tried to find votes to overturn what the voters wanted and manipulate the electoral college.
Biden just passed the torch for the United States and is unprecedented duty to country.
Just fucking wow how that makes me a Communist!!! Lmao!
Nah, just a histrionic beeyatch…
Steve, I wasn’t talking about passing. I was talking about finishing games on the ground.
Krishna – Biden didn’t pass shit. He was abandoned and betrayed by his party. He stepped out about as unwillingly as he could. They practically held a gun to his head. Obviously, I hope they lose anyway, because a Kamala win is a big loss for the country
Oh, and Biden and his party never accepted the Trump win either. Hillary cried foul, and then they immediately resorted to trying to impeach him. Then they go after him through the judicial system as if Trump is the most dangerous criminal in America. They’re dirty as fuck Krishna, and Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the whole party have dirty hands.
^
Dude, he could barely talk…wtf are you saying? Lmao
You want to know what I’m saying? This invalid that can barely talk has been running the country, yet the Democrats assured everyone he’s sharp as a tack and can do his job. When his poll numbers reached an all time low, not for the country, but for the party they turned their back on the sitting President. So it’s fine that they left this incompetent oaf in office, and it’s fine they betrayed him? Trump didn’t drain the swamp, Washington is way too much of a swamp, but I’ll take what Trump did for our country as President any and every day of the week compared to the open border, the progressive social agenda where the white heterosexual male has a target on his back and they’re recruiting children all over the country to change their sex, and assholes protesting Israel’s existence and rooting for fucking terrorists is allowed and encouraged. Hard pass on that shit!
And, you’re all twisted up that politicians lie?! Supreme Courts get stacked or manipulated and you’re crying foul, histrionically, I might add…lol

Thank god I don’t follow the political histrionic bullshit like some of you…it’s so much healthier…lol
What like what’s really going on?
And your truth knows what’s truth in the political bullshit…there was no swamp cleanup, just more sewage added to the swamp. Seriously?!
Trump lost the election and never accepted the results…to this fucking day!
I would never vote for someone like this to be the President.of the United States.
This is why I have always said; We get the politicians we deserve.
I agree! I should have shut the fuck up…lol.
Krishna, you’ve been playing instigator, just saying.
The two party system has been really fucked up for decades. Somehow you think you’re above it all and everyone else is lost. That’s not how it’s coming across, man.

Stupid auto correct
The duopoly is the best way to say it.
We are ALL above it all…it’s not a fucking special place to be. We get what we deserve.
What I don’t get is why WE put up with it. It’s fucking insane to me to watch. I truly don’t get it.
Like I stated a while ago, the divisiveness has already become and lines are being drawn. And, if you don’t pick a tribe you’re ridiculed and called names. Fuck off!

You might get fucked up the ass by the red, white and blue, but wait until it’s the hammer and sickle. Think about that.
Another “if you don’t believe in my SIDE then you’re a Communist.” Just fucking wow!!!
Sounds so American…lmfao
To Carlin’s point, the oligarchs of America are no different than Russia….and support to enable that to continue, imo, is what this duopoly has become.

Just random…lol…since everyone’s bitching.
Did you also know that even though I’m on Medicare as of last year, I still have to PAY into the Medicare system, not only based on earnings, but an additional $700/mo premium, it’s called IRMA? WTF? LOL!

Coco Gauff and LeBron James voted by peers to be the flag bearers for Team USA! Awesome!
Nothing off the BB court is awesome about LBJ, his interview where he talks about going to the private high school says it all
He said, when he left the hood to go to HS he thought all white people were racist (shows how he was raised), and the black where he grew up hated whites
He grew up a racist and hasn’t changed a bit
You mean he doesn’t see racism the way you do? OK…lol. Go a little deeper, please….
of course not, his is inherited, prolonged by the media and many on the left

Today’s report from the Herald
News, notes and highlights from Day 2 of Dolphins training camp:
▪ Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, in the midst of contract negotiations with the team, did not participate in on-field work during Thursday’s practice.
He stood on the sideline listening to the coaches’ communication in his headset. That was the extent of his participation on Day 2.
Though Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel acknowledged Wednesday that Tagovailoa’s training camp involvement is being impacted by contract talks, it wasn’t clear if there was another factor – besides the contract situation – that contributed to his lack of involvement on Thursday, because McDaniel did not speak with reporters. (The coach is generally speaking every other practice.)
But there was no visible sign of any injury with Miami’s quarterback.
So through two training camp practices, Tagovailoa hasn’t thrown any passes in 11 on 11 work. He threw several passes in 7 on 7 drills on Wednesday and took two 11 on 11 snaps, which were both handoffs.
Tagovailoa also declined to participate in 11 on 11 work during the latter stages of May and June practices, hoping that would help push along contract negotiations. ESPN has reported that no deal between the Dolphins and Tagovailoa is imminent.
Tagovailoa withholding services during practice is his most realistic recourse to try to pressure the Dolphins to give him the lucrative extension that he has been seeking for several months. He has opted against a holdout – unlike the strategy currently being employed by Cowboys receiver Ceedee Lamb. Players who don’t report to camp while under contract are subject to required $50,000 daily fines. Tagovailoa is set to make $23.2 million this season, playing on his fifth-year option, unless the team gives him a multiyear contract in the weeks ahead.
From his 2020 draft class, Joe Burrow (Cincinnati) and Justin Herbert (Chargers) and Jalen Hurts (Eagles) previously received lucrative long term contracts, and Green Bay’s Jordan Love reportedly is close to getting one.
▪ Besides the six players who are on the physically unable to perform list, several others did not practice. Safety Jordan Poyer and cornerback Kendall Fuller, two projected starters, went inside when the team went outside for practice. Neither practiced Thursday.
And defensive lineman Calais Campbell did not practice on Thursday after practicing on Wednesday. Campbell is 37, and the Dolphins traditionally limit and monitor the training camp work of older players.
New tight end Jonnu Smith, who practiced on Wednesday, was not a participant on Thursday. Smith worked sparingly all offseason because of an undisclosed injury. Left tackle Terron Armstead, whose training camp work is apparently being limited to preserve his health for the regular season, was on the practice field working on his own but without a helmet. He did not participate in team drills. Jevon Holland was back at practice and participating on Thursday after being sidelined for a time on Wednesday following a collision with receiver Malik Washington.
▪ In one of the best plays on Thursday, Mike White delivered a deep throw to fullback Alec Ingold for a 60-yard touchdown.
▪ Jaylen Waddle had a nice diving catch, and 15-year gain, on a pass from White.
▪ Cornerback Cam Smith sacked White in 7 on 7 drills. Smith is trying to win a top-four cornerback job.
▪ On a day when Campbell was held out, Da’Shawn Hand and Emmanuel Ogbah were owning their side of the trenches in the first 11-on-11 period. Ogbah sacked White, his second sack in two days. Ogbah wore the orange jersey given by coaches to the standout player from the previous day’s practice. That player in orange also chooses the opening song of practice; Ogbah opted for Jeezy’s “Welcome Back” – appropriate considering he re-signed with the team on Tuesday after being released in February.
▪ Former Giants linebacker Cam Brown, signed as a core special teams player, had a nice stop in the backfield on a left side run.
▪ Running back Chris Brooks fumbled a pitch from quarterback Gavin Hardison. Defensive lineman Isaiah Mack recovered it and had a decent return. ▪ Channing Tindall, trying to win a job at one of Miami’s deepest positions (inside linebacker), had a pass breakup in 11-on-11s.
▪ Outside linebacker Quinton Bell set the edge very effectively and tackled De’Von Achane in the backfield. Bell has had a strong start to camp.
▪ The defensive line owned the offensive line in the trench battle of the first 11-on-11 period. In one sequence, White had the entire defensive line in his face before he threw the ball three seconds after he likely would have been sacked.
▪ Undrafted Rutgers rookie center Ireland Brown delivered a high snap to Skylar Thompson. ▪ Receiver Anthony Schwartz – who faces significant odds to win a spot on the 53 – helped himself with a nice kickoff return, getting to midfield.
▪ Defensive tackle Zach Sieler had a tackle for loss on a right side run from Raheem Mostert.
▪ River Cracraft beat former Bills cornerback Siran Neal for a respectable gain, on a pass from Thompson. ▪ Hardison rebounded from a poor first practice to make some nice throws, including an inside seam pass to Tyreek Hill, who was moving as if someone hit the fast forward button while defenders were standing still. The undrafted UTEP rookie QB also delivered a 15-yard pass to Braylon Sanders in the middle of the field.
▪ White was picked off by safety Elijah Campbell on a pass to tight end Durham Smythe; Ogbah was in his face with pressure when White bootlegged on the play.
▪ Rookie left tackle Patrick Paul held Chop Robinson in an attempt to protect Thompson.
▪ Cornerback Jalen Ramsey laid his shoulder into tight end Tanner Conner at the conclusion of a screen pass that gained a first down.
▪ Cornerback Kader Kohou had two pass breakups in the final 11 on 11 session. The defensive players celebrated every big play they made on Day 2 of camp. ▪ Tight end Tanner Conner caught a short sideline pass from White and outsprinted two defenders to the end zone.
Conner’s speed was impressive on the play. ▪ Hill caught a 25-yard sideline pass from Thompson that ended practice. Ethan Bonner was in great position in coverage and might have deflected the ball, but the All Pro receiver caught it nonetheless.
Brooks, after missing most of last year has not done himself any favors after missing yesterday’s practice and today having a fumble and a dropped pass.
The Miami Dolphins released Jerome Baker in March and replaced him with former Seahawks linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Dolphins fans were happy with the move, but not everyone agreed. In fact, one media member called Brooks one of the worst free-agent additions of the 2024 offseason.
In April, Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report said that Brooks is one of his “14-worst free agent signings.“
The biggest issue for Fowler is the inconsistent and sometimes non-existent pass coverage that Brooks fails to provide. Fowler backs up his claims by showing that Brooks gave up over 1,000 yards as the “primary man in space” in his first two years in the league.
WOOF! THIS is one of my biggest concerns with the Defense. BOTH our ISLB suck in coverage. The Decades of tight ends slaying us over the middle have not come to an end!
It’s a two way problem – We can’t cover TE’s and we can’t find good receiving TE’s. I do, however, think Jonnu will be very good for us though
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Yes it really is my birthday. 😉
Alrighty then…HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM !!🎂 🥳 🎉🍻🎈🎁

SFBJ – To quote Forrest Gump, “I’m not a smart man…,” but there was no deep state conspiracy to off Trump. On one hand you had an unfuckable, disaffected looking for attention and 15 minutes of fame…
———
Thus far, ALL the evidence is stacked against you, Phelon. Just because you have a smart-ass opinion and always side with the government, it doesn’t make it factual.
Now please tell us why the shooter was in such close proximity to Trump, the SS (and Butler police) were alerted to as much way before the shooting (yes, there is video evidence of as much), and how YOU can prove it was NOT an inside job? Too many failures on too many levels to just be a coincidence… this is true.
Did you really expect Barack Obama to be the shooter?!! Tell us about the 3 offshore accounts the shooter had, how he had access to one of the longest rifle ranges in America, how the shooter flew a drone over the heads of the SS hours before the shooting, and how dipshit Cheato REFUSED to present any evidence before she reluctantly resigned.
And today, dipshit FBI director Christopher Wray is still saying that the shrapnel conspiracy theory is still alive and well… GET REAL. You, sir, are SMARTER than that.
SBJ, you should be OUTRAGED that any former president and/or current front-runner for any party was targeted for assassination. 😡
Instead, you aren’t demonstrating outrage… you seem to be running cover for the Dems in saying that this was most certainly a lone-wolf ordeal.
And again, all the evidence that has come out thus far is AGAINST your know-it-all statements. I cite evidence, you cite your ego. I’m willing to take a defeat in the opinion category (and I humbly apologize when I’m wrong), you’re not ever willing to accept a mere loss.
I respect you, but damn it’s hard to like you… and that’s how ya feel about Trump. 😉
Yeah, upon re-reading my post, I realize I was overly abrasive. I apologize to ya, man.
Trump just can’t help himself from spewing grandiose statements about himself. If he just focused on policy and not fudging numbers and results he would win easily. But he can’t control his ego. Too many people simply don’t like the man.
Kamala Harris is worse for the country but she’ll resonate with the younger indoctrinated voters about stuff that isn’t of most importance.
That’s where we are.
Where to start…oh I know…Don’t be an dumbass! Our government agencies are mostly run by self-aggrandizing Biffs and are populated by incompetent bureaucrats whose only talent is maintaining their position of relative authority. Cheatle was trying to keep her job after an abysmal failure caused by her leadership and partisanship. She only had the position because of DEI. Of course she was going to deflect. Wray’s testimony was nonsensical – yet another indicator of the government’s incompetence.
To misquote Inigo Montoyez, “You keep using this word ‘evidence.’ I do not think this word means what you think it means.” The word you are looking for is circumstance, as in circumstantial occurrences. There was an absolute breakdown in security. A roof with a direct line of fire in close proximity to the principle should have never been left unattended. A suspicious person should have been stopped and questioned. A drone flyover, while not illegal, should have heightened security. The 3 overseas accounts were mentioned online once early. If they exist (not like the child trafficking operation run out of a DC pizza joint) they could be anything from WhatsApp or Signal to Discord gaming sites. There was no Democratic or deep state conspiracy to kill Trump. There was a cascade of shear stupidity and incompetence brought on by administration policies and hires. Occam’s razor applies.
As far as your respect or like, I could give a rat’s ass. You appear to be the kind guy who would have burned or drowned women because the crops didn’t grow (evidence!) and someone reported them as witches. A pitchfork and torch waving villager looking to burn down anything that’s beyond your limited understanding. How’s that for a smart ass opinion?
This BS that Tua will make 23m this year, unless he signs a new contract is retarded
He’s making 23m this year, even if he signs a new contract
99% of the time the new contract is an extension to include any current years, so the team gets a cheap year and the agent can say 55m or whatever APY
U75s are still alive
I don’t think you were taking into account the new money in bonuses that would be in his pocket immediately. He’ll be spread out later, but it’ll be in his bank today, so yeah, he will make more than 23
🥹.
What I’m saying is, no matter what the new contract pays or payout this year, 23m is still his 2024 amount and the way the APY is figured for new money
To say he’s going to make more than 23m this year is misleading, that’s his contract figure and what he’ll make
But he will make more than that. That is what I’m saying. He will take home more than $23 million in cash in his bank account taxes of course when you figure in the signing bonus, the roster bonus. Etc. etc. they used to manipulate per year average
For example, Trevor Lawrence whose contract is scoffed at compared to some of the others still is going to take home $39 million this year. It’s only your account 15 towards the cap but he is going to have $39 million in cash minus taxes.
23 is the floor
Happy Birthday Tim
You’re awesome hope you had a great day
✌️🐬💪
This is one Dolphin fan who was NOT happy with letting Baker go.
I always liked him
Tim , I stalked you today through Mike’s friends on FB ( damn he has a lot of friends) but I found you I think you accepted my friend request because I see your posts. You look like what I expected Randy to look like lol.
Peace man Happy Birthday 🎂
I’ve told Tim before…I picture him as a Bob Ross-like hippy. A cooler Mr. Rogers. Lol
Happy bday, Bob! I turned 59 on Monday, so we’re close!
oh man Happy Birthday brother, young wipper snapper
He doesn’t look like Bob Ross at all
When camp started with Shula you couldn’t do anything as a player until you completed the 12 minute run didn’t matter who you were. After you did that you were in two a days if not three. All in pads.
Now they get days off, one day in. 🤷♂️
Bunch of pattywaists
pantywaists
son,
Thanks! I’m 5’11” 205 with a 34 inch waist. I like long walks on the beach at sunset, cooking dinner together and listening to live polka music. People say I look like a hotter Kevin Costner. 🤓
you lost me at Polka now all I can think of is John Candy in Planes, Trains and automobiles.
Is this a Brad Paisley song?
Happy birthday Tim.
Sonny – you’d love Tim. He’s a chill dude.
I know I would I can’t wait to meet him one day
Mike, NJ made a post on FB the other day a meme says “if you can’t have fun with people from New Jersey – You’re the problem “ lol
it’s true I think back to plenty of friends who are from NJ y’all are great people
son,
One of my favorite movies. I should’ve said I collect shower curtain rings.
lol
Phish,
I’m more Merle Haggard. I don’t even know what being a Paisley song means. Lol
Lol…I grew up with Haggard too. Paisley has a song called ‘Online.’ Easier to post the video
https://youtu.be/M6EaWO-wbYE?si=1xslxCSJaB4YsvPs
I know nothing about him other than he’s from WV. Can’t be all bad. 😂
he’s from Greendale, just north of Moundsville
he was Jim’s best man when he married my cousin Karen.
Hey folks, thanks for the birthday wishes and kind words. 🙂
When a bunch of us went to the MetLife takeover what seems like a very long time ago, Mike E picked me up on the way because I was 10 minutes from the stadium. Our entire ride on the Haitian canoe was him and I joking around doing Jerky Boys impressions. I’m pretty good at doing voices, but Mike has Sol Rosenberg down to a tee. One of the funniest Haitian canoe rides ever! 😂
fucks a Haitian canoe ride?
Randy, I do not look like Bob Ross in any way. I don’t do the fro, bro. 😂
Happy Birthday to you too.
obviously he was just busting balls
Happy Belated Birthday Randy! 🥳🎂🎉🎁🎈🍻
Tanner Conner doing well so far to save his job and beat out Fortson for the TE4 spot.
Happy Belated Birthday Randy!

we’ve heard it before…last year was supposed to be the great Fangio’s D, this year it’s Ramsey playing all over the lot, like Minkah was supposed to years ago, let’s hope it comes together
Sonny – I think NJ is just an outlet of NYC. So many people here in Joisey are from either Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island. Not that there’s anything wrong with native New Jerseyans, but I think they’re pretty different. Lots of people from my area and further south root for Philadelphia teams. The more north you go, those people tend to root for the NY teams.
I didn’t realize this. In his 2 games vs the Titans, Tua has not thrown one TD pass.
https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/lists/tua-tagovailoa-dolphins-2024-quarterback-matchups-battles-josh-allen-aaron-rodgers/
well there it is, we can’t possibly pay him 50+ now😜
Thanks everybody!
Tim,
You are just always so mellow and positive that I always think of Bob Ross, and I love Bob Ross! I also picture Tommy Chong. Lol
It’s pretty crazy that I’ve been chatting with you and others for about 30 years! I gotta come up with mental pictures of everyone.
Come to the Fest and you can see actual faces instead of mental pictures. 😁
Tua needs to sign his contract now
Why do all the reporters say the Fins need to sign Tua now? Like its not a 2-way negotiation
Actually I hope the Fins reset the QB market the right way
well you have to keep your QB happy…F that, if he ain’t happy with 48m, 55m isn’t going to change it, sure I get the spite, but once signed he’s a professional, act like it
Lamar last year turned put alright, after messy contract talks
I am very excited to see Achane’s development from year one to year two…
▪ McDaniel, on second-year back De’Von Achane: “He’s become a guy every person on the offense counts on. He’s become a pro. Diet, strength. It’s really cool to see. He’s had a taste of success and fortunately he’s not satisfied with that
Funny. I picture everyone looking like Abe Simpson yelling at the clouds. 😀
@AdamSchefter
Former Jaguars free-agent linebacker Shaq Quarterman is working out today for the Miami Dolphins.
Seems to be for STs, though he plays OLB.
I always kind of pictured tim as a long-haired, Mr. Rogers. 🤣
That’s not that far off
herd,
It would be fun to put faces to intellects. But, I’m afraid you’ll kick my ass if you see me in person!!! 😜
Randy, I’m about the same H/W but lost a few pounds due to the loss of muscle mass as I get older. Probably close to 195 now.
https://x.com/flasportsbuzz/status/1816872935694721346
So the 2 handoffs in 11 on 11 on day one was just to throw the defense off. lol
LOL! I guess so!
Randy,
I just read up the board for the first time today after getting home from work. Happy belated B-day, man!!! Hope it was a great one, and realize that you are appreciated!
@WingfieldNFL
Practice 3 is over. Fans of offense will be excited to read this thread. Tua made a ton of wow throws, including a 70-yard TD to Tyreek where the play fake got Ramsey to bite. They had a laugh together after where Ramsey did the play fake motion. Tyreek also scored on a catch and run (20-25 air yards) where Tua threw a keyhole football between tight coverage and Reek sprung free for the score. Achane caught on a ball on a similar throw and also produced a long TD catch and run
Seems fairly obvious to me that Tua has been putting in that work over the course of the offseason. Generally speaking, the Defense almost always has the advantage early in TC.
BB Mike,
You’d recently posted a video of the new Ford BOSS… which was awesome! Here’s Chevy’s answer…
Mind you, I’m not a fan of Chevy or Ford, but DAMN!
BBM,
Keep fishing! It’ll keep you fit hauling in all those non-sharked lurkers.
M13,
Thanks!
You’re welcome, my long time friend!
Won’t you be, my neighbor! 😂
Tua is signed
4 yrs 212.4 mil extension
Can’t wait to see what the guaranteed money is
Just saw 167 mil in guaranteed money
It’s a done deal. 🙂
YAY!!!
Echoing Cav Kong…
@CameronWolfe

Tua Tagovailoa will receive $167 million in guarantees in his 4-year extension, per source.
As
MikeGarafolo
&
RapSheet
first reported, he inks 4-year, $212.4 million extension. That puts him at $53.1 million per year new money average.
Now we have that put to rest, we can look forward to just playing some football- woohoo!
LETS FUCKING GO!!!
GO PHINS!!!
HELL YEAH!!!

😂 one of the funniest dudes ever.
Absolutely! 😀
So Tua got Goff numbers after all….
I would like to see the breakdown of the numbers, bonuses, etc, but it looks like he is #8 in guaranteed money
So, is it 23.17 Million PLUS the new 212.4 for a total value of 235.57?
Yep. Basically a 5 year deal through 2028.
QB Mike White handed off to RB Salvon Ahmed, who received a strong block from TE Tanner Conner against DT Zach Seiler for a long gainer.
Tanner Conner blocking Seiler!?? Nice, he’s come a LONG way from being rag dolled by CB’s
Dolphins Camp: Day Three Practice Report
Following are the highlights, lowlights, insights, and observations from Friday’s third Miami Dolphins training camp practice.Harvey Fialkov | 27 Minutes Ago
Unlike Thursday’s day off, QB Tua Tagovailoa, who is in the midst of prolonged negotiations for a contract extension, participated fully on Friday. Other than a few botched snaps between him and C Aaron Brewer, who came over from the Titans, where he played four seasons before signing with Miami last March, Tagovailoa was sharp.
Only a few veterans were given the day off, including RB Raheem Mostert and T Terron Armstead, who has yet to practice this week. WR Tyreek Hill took the early part of practice off but then joined his teammates for 7-on-7s.
Every one of those underlines is a link. That’s what is causing it. I think the site allows 3. How many does this have? 25?!?! 🤦🏼♀️

Ahh…there it is.

I just looked at Aaron Roger’s deal on sportrac and it appears that Grief is not the only asshole to plan to keep paying someone for multiple years after they stop playing for the team. (or at least spread the cap over 3 or 4 void years. Rogers is a URFA in ’26 and the cap get’s charged 21M in 26, 21M in 27, 14M in 28 and 7M in 29.
Lol…let’s try it Rock….

Nope…only the link posted. I tried to send the article, but I guess this works, too.
Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver called seven-time Pro Bowl right cornerback Jalen Ramsey “the ultimate chess piece” because he could move him around all over the field and at different positions in the secondary.
The chess metaphor that underscores the intricate and strategic nature of football, particularly the defensive aspect.
Well, if Ramsey is the queen in chess, the most powerful piece that can move in any direction, then fourth-year free safety Jevon Holland is the rook, which can move as many squares as it likes up and down vertically, as long it isn’t blocked.
Holland, who had a 99-yard interception touchdown return and 74 tackles against the Jets last season, is all for it.
“He’s the defensive coordinator, so it’s kind of like whatever he wants, but I’ll be down to do it,” said Holland, 24, who had four pass breakups and one pick in 12 games despite missing six games, including the playoff loss to the Chiefs, due to knee issues.
“I played nickel in college and corner in high school and whatnot, but yeah, I’m down. I’m sure he’s open to it. He loves our input and seeing what we see, so for sure. I’ve told him, if you want me to move around, I mean in [individual] drills, I’ll go to nickel and try stuff.”
Ramsey feels the same way and is excited about using his versatility to make plays all over the field.
“It allows me to showcase all of my skill set, all of my abilities,” said Ramsey, 29, who has 22 career interceptions and a Super Bowl ring with the 2021 Los Angeles Rams. “It allows teams to not always be able to dictate where I am. It allows me to be more involved in the game and the game plan and not get bored out there on the field. Yeah, I think it opens up a lot of opportunities and plays for other people as well when I get to be versatile and do different things.”
With the departure of arguably the Dolphin’s most outstanding cornerback, Xavien Howard, to open up salary cap space, Miami brought in several other interchangeable “chess pieces,” all with the ability to play multiple positions, a move that significantly reshaped the team’s defensive lineup.
Veteran left cornerback Kendall Fuller, who has 16 career picks and a Super Bowl ring with the 2019 Kansas City Chiefs, has played both sides on the corner, some safety, and began his eight-year career at nickel.
“We all move around,” said Fuller, 29, who spent his last four seasons with Washington. “Jalen’s all over the field. Sometimes we’re playing the right side, sometimes you’re on the left side. Within the defense corners can be asked to do different things; do what a nickel would do; do what a linebacker would do. That’s what makes the game fun, to be able to have a lot of different responsibilities, a lot of different techniques you have.

“I’m comfortable lining up everywhere on the field. My biggest thing is, no matter what position you play, is learning where everybody is knowing where your help is. It brings everybody together.”
Miami also brought in safety Marcus Maye, 31, who has eight picks in seven seasons while playing both safety positions. Maye is coming off a down year, missing ten games due to a shoulder injury and three games to a suspension for a 2021 arrest for driving under the influence in Fort Lauderdale.
Maye said he chose the Dolphins because of their overall talent, especially in the back end, which also added 12-year veteran, 33-year-old safety Jordan Poyer — a 2022 Pro Bowl pick with the Bills — his main competitor for the vital safety spot opposite Holland.
“I wanted to be part of this group because from the outside looking in they have a special thing going on, especially in the back end with Coach Mike [McDaniel],” said Maye, a native of Melbourne. “Once I saw all the pieces, I was excited. I could play free, strong safety, blitz, anything you need, special teams. I want to be on the football field, and I’ll do anything as long as I’m on the grass.
“[Weaver] has got a lot of tricks up his sleeve to go along with the versatility we have here.”
Holland, who’s in the final year of his four-year rookie deal worth $8,716,410 ($6.2 million guaranteed), is patiently waiting his turn for an extension after several teammates have received theirs with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on hold.
Defensive Backs Display Versatility In Dolphins Training Camp

Maye is a massive fan of Holland.
“He’s a great player,” he said. “He can do everything in the back end and come down in the box. It’s exciting to be part of what they have here. He’s one of the top safeties in the league, so I’m excited to be on his side.”
OK, Tua better put those big boy pants on now! No more fading away at the end of the season or getting injured. Even more so, no EXCUSES!!! Just win baby!
