Since we stole the Houston Oilers theme song music, we may as well steal one of the most iconic quotes from the Apollo 13 mission, although the quote was actually “Houston, we’ve had a problem” when the voltage dropped on the electrical system on the spacecraft. We definitely have had a problem, and still have a problem, one that reaches way further than last night’s performance against the Buffalo Bills. Our season, and potentially the Franchise itself is in danger of having a complete meltdown of this season. Even before the unfortunate injury to our QB Tua Tagovailoa , this team looked to be a mess, and that in and of itself was so disturbing and disappointing.
Oddly enough, Josh Allen didn’t beat us, as is usually the case when we face the Bills. I’m just going to get this out there quickly before I forget because I have 1000 things racing through my mind as my fingers hit the keys. Once again, this particular Buffalo Bills roster, the 2024 Buffalo Bills are once again supposed to be an inferior team, and ready and primed to be taken down. However, once again, as the prime time chokers we are, we’re ready to assume the fetal position against good teams, even if they aren’t as good as they used to be, or are supposed to be. Listen, Tua was ridiculously poor last night, and Mike McDaniel may have been worse, if that’s possible. We discussed it last night, why were Grant Dubose and Robby Chosen out there when they had only been here a couple of weeks, and we have so many weapons such as Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Jonnu Smith, De’Von Achane, Jaylen Wright etc etc ? Did we try to throw the Bills off track because they don’t have film on these guys? The very first throw to WR Grant Dubose results in an INT. The ball was forced number one, the receiver wasn’t prepared to make the reception number 2, and why on a crucial 3rd down play is our QB trying to thread the needle to a guy plucked from NFL waivers just 2 short weeks ago?
This is going to be disjointed, I have thoughts just racing through my mind. I think our HC is beloved by the players, because he is. I think one of his major flaws is preparation, and game planning. We just don’t seem to look ready or prepared in bigger games. Hell, if it wasn’t for Jevon Holland stripping the football against the Jacksonville Jaguars near the end zone from RB Travis Etienne, we may be 0-2. BTW, Jevon Holland is one guy who has yet to be paid. Hey, maybe we’ll let him test free agency like Christian Wilkins, because that worked out so well. Back to MM. Why the f*ck are WR’s Grant Dubose and Robby Chosen on the field when there’s clearly no rhythm or cohesiveness with Tua at this point? That’s on HC Mike McDaniel. Tua doesn’t set the lineup or call the plays, but the 3rd down throw for the first turnover of the game goes right on QB Tua Tagovailoa for making that throw. 3rd down and 13, and we’re throwing to fucking Grant Dubose, and not a wide open Grant Dubose either, no, a tightly covered Grant Dubose.
On defense, well, Anthony Weaver didn’t seem to have this defense prepared either. Perhaps he was expecting a typical performance from Josh Allen, but Josh was barely a participant in this one. Allen was 13-19, 1 TD, 0 INT’s, more importantly, 2 rushes for 2 yards. We made RB James Cook look like Dalvin Cook in his prime! He finished with 78 yards rushing on just 11 carries along with 2 TD’s, and then 1 catch for 17 yards and another TD for THREE total TD’s. Our defense basically did nothing. No sacks, no turnovers, no nothing. I’m aware we turned the ball over 3 times and that’s disastrous, but the defense was so not special on a day where we need it to be. Yes, Jevon Holland saved the day last week, but on this day we just looked uninspired. Not sure if OLB Jaelan Phillips got hurt, but he only played 23 snaps this week, down from 31 last week. Jaelan Phillips, Chop Robinson, Quinton Bell, Emmanuel Ogbah did nothing.
OK, back to the elephant in the room. What happens now with QB Tua Tagovailoa, and how do the Miami Dolphins proceed without his services, which may be a few weeks, or potentially the entire season, or even beyond that, the end of his career? You all know well how much I wanted this team to not give Tua a massive contract, especially without protections for a catastrophic injury like another concussion. I said it a 1000 times if I said it once, not only does he not show well in big games, but can he make it through a season when he’s not playing like he’s in bubble wrap? Well, unfortunately, we have our answer, and it’s a resounding NO. Not only he did get injured in what might end his season, or at the very least, cause him to strap on that very same bubble wrap from last season which kept him from making plays like running for a first down, but he once again showed big games are just too much for him, as he shrank in the spotlight. There’s no denying this, 3 turnovers at HOME, 80+ degrees and once again, the guy that throws for 300+ yards against anyone else has his worst performance our division rival Buffalo Bills. Surely, many doctors will urge him to retire, and now that he’s been paid, maybe he will. I know the fire burns strong, and he will want to play, but that fire can be smothered and extinguished by $167.17M
Skylar Thompson so very clearly isn’t the answer. I’d say right now that QB Mike White wishes he was here, and also maybe that S Jordan Poyer wishes he was back in Buffalo. Mike White isn’t the answer either. Depending upon how long the prognosis is on just how long QB Tua Tagovailoa will be OUT, this will affect our decision making on acquiring a new QB. Ryan Tannehill might very well be sitting close to his phone, and Joe Flacco may be as well. Tannehill had 2 NFL seasons with a rating of 100 or higher, but those seasons were pretty far in the rear view mirror, one in 2019. and the other in 2020. Still, he would be a better QB than Skylar Thompson, who really gives me no feeling that he could ever be a quality QB. Can we trade for a backup? Oh, I really don’t want to do that, we have no cap space in the next few years, I don’t want to have no cap space and no draft picks either!
So now Dolphins fans, crushed as we are, we have nothing to do but wait. Wait and see what the reports are on QB Tua Tagovailoa, find out how long it will be after MRI’s, cat scans, whatever other tests they do. It’s only Week 2, and yet the sky has fallen here, and fallen hard. It’s most difficult to find optimism for this season, despite it only being Week 2, and having a 1-1 record. The Bills have come into Hard Rock, basically their home field as it is, and tore our team a new asshole as per usghe. BTW, I’m sure you’re all aware, the collision Tua had was with DB Damar Hamlin. Ironic? Thoughts racing, caffeine pumping through my veins, along with a lethal dose of despair. I’m already thinking of the Fest as being a vacation only, and the game itself a nuisance that will keep me away from the beach. Hopefully, something good happens for us Dolphins fans, but do they ever?

The body language tells me Dubose was at fault, same with the Chosen int, the 3rd one was the result of a weiny armed QB
I’m not looking too much into whether we signed Huntley, Tannehill or whoever. We’re not going to win a lot of games with any of these guys, doesn’t matter.
You can’t 100% believe Tua is coming back. Remember, he HAS to say he wants to keep playing. He can’t say he is done. It’s all about the money.
Certainly something to consider but I don’t believe it is all about the money for Tua. I believe he wants to keep playing. Whether or not he should or can is TBD
Really? You might could make a case for that if he hadn’t had his ‘ hold-in’, wouldn’t sign a deal that was reasonable considering all the risks that come with him. Not at all what he did.
I don’t doubt he wants his payday. I also don’t doubt that he loves playing the game and wants to play the game
that’s true, we’ll have to wait for the neurological report
He said, he’s not retiring, so by process of elimination you can he wants to play
The Dolphins had 10 offensive possessions vs the Bills, 3 ended with an INT and 4 ended by turning the ball over on downs.
—————-
@AdamHBeasley
The Dolphins’ 14.3% success rate on fourth downs this season is the lowest in the league among teams with three or more attempts
With the injuries to Chubb and Phillips, and all of the PS/TC injuries and not playing guys and a new DC, we knew going into the season the beginning was going to be an adjustment and not a well oiled machine
What we didn’t know was we had a retarded QB
Tua’s injury was worse than his pick six and even worse than the butt fumble
it’s the single worst decision I’ve ever seen a QB make, not even close
the 14.3% success rate, what do you expect from an HC, that doesn’t consider the situation properly, gets too cute, and a retarded QB?
How did Huntley make a pro bowl?
No one else wanted to go
Literally no one else wanted to be there. The 2 SB QBs could not go because they play the next week. They usually take 2 more QBs from each league and many of them opt out because they didn’t want to get injured. They have since changed the game so it is now literally a flag football game
He was an alternate but still don’t know how he got to that level either.

Holy crap, the Saints have scored on every possession so far?
(It’s probably a bit weird that is the info I took from her bit, lol.)
….ooph…and lol about the Dolphins
Tua placed on IR – eligible to come back week 8. Season over
It’s a minimum of 4 games so eligible to return week 6
we have a bye week 6
But he is eligible to resume football activities at that time
I didn’t make up the ruling, just reporting what I read – he’s able to come back week 8 at the earliest against Arizona
Then we will see his return at the fest
It is in Tua’s interest to not be cleared to return. If he does not get cleared and retires he gets his full guaranteed money. If he is cleared and then retires he only gets the guaranteed money for this season
he’s going to get cleared at some point
Likely or he can opt to retire now but he has apparently opted against that
financial interest ^
correct
Dolphins announced they officially have placed QB Tua Tagovailoa on the injured reserve list and signed QB Tyler Huntley off Baltimore’s practice squad. They also signed T Jackson Carman to their practice squad and released WR Robbie Chosen from their practice squad.
It seems that 4 weeks is the new unwritten rule for concussions.
is it that, or minimum four for IR with designation to return?
Both
Great, so Tua can be back just in time to get a warm up game against the Cards before playing the Bills again.
Any one watch QB Arch Manning come in for relief of the injured Quinn Ewers? Granted it was a much team but he lit it up.
What was most impressive, on a QB keeper at 6’4 225, he hit a top speed of 20.7 mph on his 67 yard TD run. Tyreek Hill’s fastest top speed on any play this year is 20.3 mph (so far). Per nextgen.
I read something yesterday that he might get the start this week?
I think Texas plays a nobody again this weekend.
Ewers is likely not ready to come back this week
yes- he was pretty impressive
I’ve watched his videos for the past few years, I don’t see the Manning in him
Texas plays no one…lol…it gives Ewers an extra week of rest from injury and for Arch to shine.
Then, Ewers returns to starting line-up.
Actually, the next 2 weeks…Texas gets lots of practice before the tough part and the easiest schedule in their inaugural season in the SEC.
Talk about conspiracy theories…lol
UL Monroe, Miss S, bye
Ooph…. Marshall (The Herd) v Ohio State
That’s going to be embarrassing. Ugh.
I wish nothing but the best for Tua. Concussions are just funky and all different. I’m worried for the young man. He’s gonna keep getting hit. Money is great, but he has a lot already. He and his family will have no money issues. Sure, they’ll be richer if he keeps playing but at what cost….just for more money? He’ll find other ways to make money too. I get the “life changing” money in his contract. You only get one brain. To each their own. If he was my son, I’d be locking him in my basement. We all make choices.
I agree with everything you said.except locking him in my basement…lol
Basements in Florida are problematic.
Also, to Herd’s point…Tua is being disingenuous to the team about his market value if doesn’t guarantee “insure” the Dolphins for buying damaged goods ala his hold-in.
Then, he crashes head first after a year of training NOT do that AFTER he gets his money.
Conspiracy theorists unite! Lol
Not what I was saying. My point – it was about the money or he wouldn’t have had the ‘hold in’. I wasn’t starting a conspiracy theory.
Thought it was your point…the money…same as maket value. I added the “conspiracy theory” because that’s what people do here. They speculate….it was a joke.
When he is concussed again, I hope he retires. That would be the right thing to do…for his family first and then himself.
When is enough money enough? Millions upon millions that few will ever sniff. Just saying…
He’s been damaged goods since before day 1…wtf?! Nice ride!
Tua did the right thing this offseason, in my opinion. Grier was the idiot who knew he had a concussion problem and didn’t put more safeguards in place with him still being under contract all year. Dude signed an injury prone WR a year early, who still hasn’t shown Tier 1 attributes, an old CB for top money, and the most explosive WR in the game if he isn’t touched. All bad contracts, all reasons we got shitstomped by the Bills.
The Pats have outscored us this season. The Justin Fields Steelers have outscored us. We have the 4th lowest points in the league. 32 teams and our offensive juggernaut is 28th.
That’s a bingo!
Can Tua wear that padding on top of his helmet in a game?
Not football related – Israeli intelligence is freaking otherworldly. Convince Hezbollah that their cell phones can be tracked and that they should use pagers. 1985 tech. Then somehow provide them with pagers loaded with remotely detonated explosives. To include the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon. Blow up a bunch of terrorists. Fucking brilliant.
Indeed! Awesome!!!
I read that earlier. Way above my mind about technology.
Technology was simple. The operation to set it up was Einstein. Spy fiction writers couldn’t make this shit up. I had a career in intelligence and the scale of this boggles my mind.
How were the beepers that explosively powerful?
Don’t have to be terribly powerful but a little C4 goes a long way. Where do you keep a pager? In your pocket or on your belt. What’s close to both? Femoral artery. Takes less than a minute to bleed out if you cut it.
look at where the injuries are.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13860925/Beirut-hospitals-maimed-patients-injured-Hezbollah-pagers-explosion.html
Even without the concussions he ain’t it…never was unfortunately. Had 4 years to see that and still brought zero competition in. Fuck Grier. Who needs an OL when you just pay for speed huh?
Even before the concussions he ain’t it, never was. 4 years showed us that. Fuck Grier and his no need for an OL. Just sign speed and no toughness. I mean it’s just a track meet right?
Sorry for the double down!
Phish, thousands of people were wounded, not just those close by.
As I said, a little C4 or probably something like Semtex goes a long way. Also some,of the terrorists may have been driving and such. All of the injuries may not be a direct result of the blasts. Here’s a video.
https://www.wsj.com/video/watch-exploding-pagers-injure-thousands-of-hezbollah-members-in-lebanon/3EA342D5-BEC4-4D4C-B966-BA18FCEF89E3.html
they are also reporting it was 5000 pagers inserted into Hezbollah’s supply chain.
Mike, thank you for reminding me about David Thorne

😂
Funny! I only asked about her torn anus so I didn’t do it accidentally
Our QB is down. Time for other players to make big plays. The preseason is over.
Down and out.
I don’t think the brain heals in 4 weeks…
….typically, I believe, injury from concussion is cumulative. How far do you take this?
Risky, imo, and I’m a risk taker.. lol
That’s the current scientific belief and I agree. The hit was not hard and for Tua to have those symptoms from such a small hit he initiated, I don’t think it’s at all smart to depend on him staying concussion free in this league.
It will be interesting to see the risk management the team and NFL will provide and at what point they feel Tua playing is a risk. You can use medical professionals but when they all say it’s a very grey area, are you covered? We’ve seen lotys of companies sued over the years for ‘should have known’. At this point, are we getting into should have known for Tua? Is a media whose sole purpose is clickbait adversity going to side with the NFL and Miami when that happens? Be understanding and equanimous? Not a chance!
Tua playing is an unacceptable risk was what I meant. in paragraph two.
Much more eloquently stated. Thank you.
If it were me, I would walk….for me and my family.
The next hit could be it, imo. You never know. And for that matter, it may not be a football hit.
Same. He has plenty of money. I’d put my health as priority one if I didn’t need to work to survive and he obviously doesn’t need to. He got 4 years at the top and would go out leading the NFL in passing his last year. It’s a perfect story.
Phelon, Do you think that escalates things over there? I have a feeling it will.
sorry was traveling all day. It has already escalated and will do so more.
Long article but somewhat interesting:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41274295/nfl-insurance-policies-star-players-aaron-rodgers-tua-tagovailoa-jared-goff-joe-burrow-christian-mccaffrey
I know many think it won’t make a difference but if Washington is not active again or they don’t elevate EZ for this game, I think we will have much less of a chance of winning.
With Mostert/Wilson out and Washington possibly out, we have Hill, Waddle, Berrios and Dubose at WR. TE’s have not made much of an impact. Skylar needs a reliable #3 WR. He had good chemistry in PS with both Washington and EZ. If both of them are not active for this next game that’s messed up!
Out of 147 total offensive plays in the 1st two games Berrios, Dubose and Chosen have played a combined 128 of those snaps. I don’t have the total # of pass plays but it’s over 80. Of those 80+ pass plays, those three WR’s were targeted a combined 10 times with only 2 receptions for 18 yards and 2 INT’s.
Berrios – 60 snaps, 3 targets, 0 receptions
Dubose – 39 snaps, 3 targets, 1 reception for 13 yards, 1 INT
Chosen – 29 snaps, 4 targets, 1 reception for 5 yards, 1 INT
They can’t get open. We need Washington or EZ or teams will continue to lock down Hill and Waddle because our #3’s can’t get open.
BBM,
That’s part of my disappointment. We paid Waddle and Tyreek to not really need a great 3rd WR. We have fast RBs, good TEs, and 2 guys that need a good 3rd WR? Why? How? McDs offense is similar to Shanahans and you don’t need awesome 3rd WRs in that system. We need a bigger stable of talent than what we’ve paid for? We paid a ton on offensive talent for us to be 28th. It looks more like misused talent.

Always funny
LOL!
Lol
BBM – We need to have Jonnu Smith in there and keep targeting him. He had 7 targets last week, give 10-15. He’ll make the catch and get you yards, and get open
I agree with you and New Age
That’s how it SHOULD be.
Injury report today. Will be interesting to see what the left side of the OL is looking like. If no Armstead and no Jones.
Some EZ news! lol
@schadjoe
Miami Dolphins WR Erik Ezukanma is now wearing #86
@schadjoe
Miami Dolphins QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley will wear #18 for the Miami Dolphins
Travis Wingfield
Injury updates: Raheem – He’s progressing each day. True warrior. We’ll see an uptick and see how he responds.
Terron – He’s good, day-to-day situation. He’s our captain for a reason. He galvanizes people by his presence.
The risk to continue playing should fall on the player not the team or league, just like any other aspect of life
You wanna go sky diving? Ok sign this release
No life guard on duty, swim at your own risk
Skiing, riding a motorcycle…why should this be any different?
If Tua continues to play and gets life altering injured and there’s a lawsuit, I could care less who wins, the billionaire’s league or the multi million dollar player
Exactly! Professional fighters get concussions all the time and keep fighting.
Skylar to start, but if we can’t score and are behind they should insert Huntley
mid to late 3rd qtr
Could happen to light a spark.
You are by far the most positive person I ‘know’! 😂
Ha, thanks Herd! It’s better than the alternative. 🙂
WR Malik Washington, quadricep, Questionable
Washington is participating in Wednesday’s practice per Joe Schad
RB Raheem Mostert, chest, Questionable
Mostert is present for practice Wednesday per David Furones
QB Tua Tagovailoa, concussion, IR
OT Terron Armstead, shoulder, Questionable
Armstead is day to day
RB Jeff Wilson, oblique, Questionable
Dolphin’s season- Doubtful. 😢
Lol!
just have to weather the storm, Huntley did it with Baltimore
What ive noticed thru 2 games is guys loafing all over the field, Jonnu jogging over and not blocking on the Achane screen first series vs Jags, if he just makes an attempt to block Achane scores
Several others with less than acceptable effort include Julian Hill, Dubose, and IDK WTF Smythe was doing game 1
With Tua out everyone needs to play like the season is on the line, cause it is, anything less and we’re doomed
In Skylar I don’t trust
if we can weather the storm and get Tua, Chubb, OBJ, Cracraft and others back we’ll be set up for a good EOS run
the rub: we will be playing good teams in the stretch run. We have done nothing to prove we can consistently beat good teams, Tua or no Tua. I’m not even going down that road in my mind – it’s fools gold Steve.
hey if Tua retires and gets his guaranteed money does that money be against the cap next year?
Depends. Miami had a clause in the contract to buy injury insurance. If it covers brain injuries, Miami would get $49M+ in cap relief. Here’s an article that explains it.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41274295/nfl-insurance-policies-star-players-aaron-rodgers-tua-tagovailoa-jared-goff-joe-burrow-christian-mccaffrey
I read this earlier and that was my understanding. Apparently, most insurance has a brain/concussion injury exclusion. In this case, you buy the rider…lol.
I am fully prepared for the injury excuse to come into discussions this next offseason for why we didn’t make the playoffs. It’s called denial.
Rich Eisen weighs in on the Miami Dolphins putting Tua Tagovailoa on IR following his latest concussion.
I agree with IR decision for Tua’s sake…dude needs to clear his head by NOT thinking about football.
How much more money over $20MM+ do you need? Lol…you and your family’s families are set for life. Go live life!
Lol…I have to get this out there.
While I love MM (I really do in a philosophical sense), sometimes reality has a way of challenging that mindset and you have to buck up to meet the moment.
Either you have what it takes to get the job done or you don’t and no amount of “good vibes” is going to get you over the top. It is what it is. It’s called the hard knocks of life…lol. Or, said another way, life’s a bitch and then you die…lol
I agree. I desperately want McD to be the guy because we haven’t had any form of that since Johnson and obviously Shula who’s the GOAT. As time goes on though, I’m not really sure he knows how to do his job. He knows what they did in San Fran, he knows speed is good, but does he know how to coach? Does he know how to adjust or get his guys to take their jobs seriously? Is he still the dude who came in late and partied but just got a lifetime chance…and doesn’t know how to handle it?
His media schlock annoys me at this point. His statement that he was glad Tua stepped up first game before he had to…would he have? Or would he have said, this is tough but we”ll get there? The players seem to do as they please here and that just seems like bad coaching and mgmt. Being smart at one thing doesn’t make you a good HC. I’m beginning to lean towards him not being one.
Hmmmm…coming from “new age” thought…I love it…lol
agree with everything both of you wrote
think MM is at a cross roads of sort, Flo took the worst team in history somehow to 5 wins, then winning seasons, what can MM do without a QB?
Skylar seems to have the deer in headlights look at times, then at others moves the ball a little, no consistency though
Huntley looks like he can make quick throws and adlib plays with the best of them, but struggles with accuracy at times

The idea that injuries aren’t going to be a factor every season is just shortsighted. It’s not the way teams prepare. Every player is expected to practice and prepare like they’re playing. It’s a matter of talent. We don’t have enough in the right places. Choices were made to build this team. With or without Tua, I don’t feel good about how this team is built because I don’t think it’s how you win championships. The times they are a-changing, but I still at least want to believe that you win and lose in the trenches. Maybe you don’t anymore, I don’t know.
Kansas City has good lines on both sides of the ball.
I have read this a few times and can’t change a word…lol
ESPN
Breaking: Texas QB Arch Manning will be the starting quarterback Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe, head coach Steve Sarkisian announced.
that didn’t take long
poor Quinn Ewers picked a school where a Manning would eventually commit too
Ewers is pretty good too
Manning must be really impressive early
Ewers is hurt
Ewers will be back. He is a Heisman candidate. Although part of me is hoping they do change QBs and it drops Ewers draft stock. I would be okay with that.
This NOT breaking news….lol. It’s been discussed all week here and Ewers is resting while Texas is playing UL Monroe (a powerhouse…lol) and Mississippi State next week (an SEC powerhouse….lol)
I thought about posting when the Buffalo game started, but I was too nervous.
Haven’t watched any sports talk shows since the concussion. Felt like our season was ruined.
I’ll watch Sunday’s game with fingers crossed. I do like Huntley’s mobility but hoping reps with the 1’s for 10 days will help Skylar.
Joe Schad
Terron Armstead (shoulder) said he expects to play at Seattle Has a brace to aid rotator cuff
I expect about 10 plays from him
That’s sadly probably pretty accurate
Randy
Times haven’t changed that much. Our GM let our best on both sides walk and spent pennies on it. Then took they extra cash to spend on yesterday’s headliners. He sucks.

And here I thought you only read and posted about Miami Dolphins news. Know how I know that? YOU posted that as response to me recently, chiding me for a football post that might have had outside relevence to our Phins.
I’ve got NO problem with your post above! Carry on, just at least attempt to be consistent, so as not to look like a hypocrite or outright liar.

It only took Eagles fans 2 games to despise former controversial Dolphins DC
Eagles fans are feeling the pain Miami suffered through.By Brian Miller | 5:00 PM EDT

5:00 PM EDTMiami Dolphins fans and players know all too well that Vic Fangio’s one-year stay was not one they would like to see repeated. Now, Eagles fans are starting to see why Miami wasn’t too upset that he wanted to leave town.
I really am rooting for Skylar, but I don’t believe he has what it takes to be a full-time starter in the NFL.
And until we get reinforced on the O-Line, I feel our running game will be less than stellar… depsite ALL the talent we have in our RB room.
Yes, it’s time to throw Patrick Paul into the mix at LT as T-Stead predictably gets injured throughout the season.
Generally speaking, O-Linemen can come in as rooks and have a good/great affect almost immediately… same goes for RBs. That’s NOT to say there isn’t a learning curve, of course. Rooks are rooks, and they’ll only get better with time and experience.
It’s the skill positions that generally take time to refine: QB, WR, DB, and EDGE.
“If they don’t bite as pups…”, as Bill Parcells was once famously quoted, I don’t believe he was talking about the skill positions.
It’s time for Patrick Paul to get his feet wet, IMO.
Time to take advantage of T-Stead’s vast experience and knowledge while he’s still here, right? I’ve got no problem with Darth Paul starting right now, under the tutelege of T-Stead.
Lol…great insight!
Yeah? Well the problem is, Grier and McDaniel don’t like to start rooks. And via your post above regarding Vic Fangio, neither does he.
Can’t be afraid to start rooks.
I thank you for your post above regarding Fangio, by the way.
Let’s go injuries tonight. F the bad mojo
😂😂😂😂😂
At least we won’t be at the bottom of the AFCE after tonight.
From Adam Beasley:
Miami Dolphins Practice Report
News from Thursday’s practice: Offensive tackle Terron Armstead and defensive tackle Calais Campbell were back on the field after both missed Wednesday’s session.
That means all five starting Dolphins offensive linemen participated in Thursday’s practice. Left guard Rob Jones worked for the second straight day despite dealing with a shoulder injury.
Armstead told reporters that he intends to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills even though he is dealing with a rotator cuff issue that made it impossible for him to lift his arm that night.
“The biggest factor, especially with a guy like Terron [is], I mean, he knows himself better than anyone,” Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith said Thursday.
“So you naturally listen to the players, giving you the feedback, how he’s feeling and all that, where he’s at for the game. And I think, ultimately, you’re working that process with the player because everyone else will have an opinion on certain things. But the players have got to be the one that’s going to go out there and play. So with Terron, have the utmost confidence with him and in the communication and the process all the way to the game.”
The Dolphins also had all four active running backs on the practice field, including Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr., who combined for just 11 total snaps in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The only Dolphins player missing from Thursday’s practice? Grant DuBose, who has a shoulder injury that limited his participation on Wednesday.
That issue, combined with the team’s decision to cut Robbie Chosen from their practice squad, strongly suggests that Malik Washington will make his NFL debut on Sunday.

Lazard doing what OBJ was supposed to do for us
Terron is playing against the Bills Sunday? I guess that means either Kendall Lamm or Patrick Paul is playing against the Seahawks. 🤣
Patriots OL is worse than ours
epically bad
we shouldn’t be talking about one, sans the Panthers, being worse than us
anyone
anyone buying this line of horseshit?
“The confidence that the team has for Skylar is real, and it’s earned,” McDaniel said.
absolutely not.
What is he supposed to say? Skylar sucks, the team hates him?
Skylar had 1 thing going for him, his pocket presence, we haven’t seen it yet thru PS and week 2
Ohtani is amazing
His line today was unreal.
besides the 6 for 6, 10 RBIs, 3 HRs, 2 SBs and 4 runs, what’s the big deal
it’s not like he pitched a no hitter too
😂
…and to do it on the day he goes 50/50…unreal
two double too
the Seahawks lead the NFL in total pressures, have allowed the third-fewest passing yards per game, they rank fifth in defensive DVOA, third in success rate and seventh in EPA/play. Remember, their scoring defense (20.0 points allowed per game) is out of whack because of multiple mistakes on offense and special teams in Week 1. Both the film and the advanced numbers suggest this will be a suffocating, potentially top-five defense in 2024, especially against the pass.
What’s out of whack is their D numbers after playing 2 juggernaut Os in Denver and the cheats, SMH

Wow Tua had some oomph on that INT .. broke DuBose shoulder
lol
“He’s doing amazing, man,” said Hill. “The biggest thing we want is to make sure that Tua is alright. Once I called him, the day after or whatever, and I heard his voice and heard he was in good spirits, I was cool, man. To me, this s–t is bigger than football. Our life is bigger than football.”
__________
Yep, especially since you got a first round contract in the NFL and should be set for life.. .except for maybe a kid’s toy falling on your head or daddy tumbles with his kids and accidentally bounces his head on the ground.
Go live life…off the field.
Reminds me of Jordan Shipley from UT, if I’m not misremembering…lol.
He had so many concussions in college ball, got drafted, concussed, then, retired in first season in NFL.
Sometimes dreams are thwarted by circumstances beyond our control…life’s a bitch…lol
Then, you either give up or pick yourself up by your bootstraps and…..move on.
Dolphins will have to be prepared for the crowd noise in Seattle.
NEW BLOG UP!!!
