That’s really what this is all about, our disappointing 1-2 start. We’re already calling for the head of Head Coach Mike McDaniel. Things happen fast here in Miami, and previous failures of this franchise seem to accelerate this type of feeling. Honestly, maybe it’s a little bit of instant gratification rearing its ugly head. “I want an Oompa Loompa NOW daddy!” In any case, I, myself have overreacted, and frankly, I think all of us here at FMU have as well. I didn’t forget that this team has Super Bowl aspirations, and they gave us the feeling they were assembling a roster worthy of a run to that cause. Sure, some of us had our doubts about the O-line and D-line, but none of us expected us to be so different. This team really doesn’t resemble the team that played in 2023. Under further scrutiny, it’s fair to say we actually do resemble that team, the team that in the last 4 games of the 2023 season scored an average of 15.5 points per game, where the mighty high flying offense in the early season was nowhere to be found.
So what do the Dolphins do to remedy this situation? We’re definitely hamstrung with Skylar Thompson as the backup QB, and now even he is injured. We did sign QB Tyler Huntley off of the Ravens practice squad, but is it fair to throw him into action so soon? Probably not, but maybe with a simplified offense with just a few handfuls of plays, he could be effective. Tim Boyle looked poised compared to Skylar Thompson, and that’s an indictment on just how poor Skylar Thompson looked. I do believe it’s fair to expect more from him. He’s been here 2 full years, he’s started games before in 2022, but again, he’s been here since 2022, so he should have complete understanding of this offense. It looked more like was called up from the PS just that morning.
Another huge question is, how much of this is on Head Coach Mike McDaniel? Lots of speculation that the NFL has figured our offense, and now that they have, we can no longer be effective. I would say that’s partially true, but just slightly. You always have to make adjustments. If you run the football well and the opposing defense puts 9 guys in the box, you’re probably not going to beat them unless you do something different. The problem is, we haven’t done anything different, and it’s rather shocking at how ineffective WR’s Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have been. In 3 games, Tyreek Hill has 13 receptions for 149 yards and 1 TD. Jaylen Waddle has 13 receptions for 176 yards and ZERO TD’s. We have been shuffling different WR’s in and out of the lineup and at least one is already off the roster, WR Grant Dubose. Still on IR is OBJ, and WR Erik Ezukanma just made it back this week, if you can call it being back. He was targeted only twice and unsuccessfully. Rookie WR Malik Washington has yet to be healthy to play, although maybe next week he can finally make his debut.
We picked up TE Jonnu Smith who many of us hoped would be the weapon that would make teams who keyed on Hill and Waddle pay for it, and he had one good game, but hasn’t really been a big part of the offense otherwise. It’s basically been the De’Von Achane show, and he’s doing his part, but Achane on his own isn’t sufficient. We weren’t playing well with Tua, although the offense had at least some resemblance to last year’s. Even so, if not for the game saving tackle and forced fumble by S Jevon Holland, we lose the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s also important to remember a healthy Tua was at the helm against Buffalo, at least for the first half, and 6 minutes or so of the 3rd quarter until his unfortunate scramble and run which not only led to his injury, but the predicament we’re in now.
QB Tua Tagovailoa played just as poorly in this game as he did in any of those games against better teams last season, like the Eagles, Chiefs, or Ravens. The question is, is it Head Coach Mike McDaniel that can’t adjust when teams take away our bread and butter, the QB who can’t step up in big games, or a combination of both? I’d say the latter, a combination of both. The good part, if you want to be an optimist, which is increasingly difficult with the current state of things, is we’re only in Week 3, and only 1 game from being a .500 team. I think all the “Fire McDaniel, Fire Grier” and “Blow it all up” is very premature. A win next week can change all that quite quickly, but that’s a different story.
It’s not all Mike McDaniel, and it’s not all Tua Tagovailoa. We’ve seen Mike McDaniel struggle making adjustments, he needs to find some help in that regard. He has some good people he can consult with, Darrell Bevel is a fine NFL mind who’s been an offensive coordinator and a Head Coach for almost as long as Mike McDaniel has been alive. Not quite, but he’s been in the NFL since 2006, and maybe he should be the OC here, to give Mike McDaniel a chance to see the whole picture better. In the immediate future, our QB situation is a big concern, but the coaching is also a chief concern. MM has to do better, and his backup QB should have been better prepared this past weekend.
As far as QB Tua Tagovailoa is concerned, it’s a shame. If you count on him, you’re going to be disappointed because the young man’s brain is letting him down. It’s not his fault he’s “Glass Joe”, he’s a very talented player, a fine young man, but his body let him down. God giveth and God taketh away. He’s probably able to play this coming week, but the Dolphins have already put him on IR and he’s not eligible to play until Week 8, the Fest Game against the Arizona Cardinals. It seems as if it’s “when” he gets concussed again, not “if”. It may be that very first game back, and if that’s the case, he should be done for the year and bigger decisions will lie ahead.
Going forward, no matter what we do this season, I think we need to prioritize drafting our next QB. Even if somehow Tua stays healthy the rest of this season and plays well enough to get this team into the playoffs, again, it’s a matter of “when” he’s concussed again, not “if”. The sooner we reconcile that, the better. As far as Mike McDaniel, hopefully he enlists some help, or concocts something that fixes our offensive woes. Yes, our O-line is deficient, and I’m not letting Grier off the hook. There aren’t many good O-lines in the NFL, but when your QB can’t get hit, it’s inexcusable to have a poor offensive line. Mike McDaniel won’t be getting fired anytime soon, it’s just way too soon. Grier isn’t going anywhere either, he’s teflon. Let’s hope Mike McDaniel figures things out, and our team turns it all around, and we can all laugh about how we wanted to blow it up Week 3!
GO DOLPHINS!!!

You can’t lose your starting QB.
GB is doing ok
I think there’s a pod outside Mike E’s window.
😱
Don’t take a nap Mike! Don’t do it!
Mike,
I have no clue what you see in McD or this team this year. I have no clue how you think this is overreacting or childless impatience. What is it that McD has done that convinces you he will turn this thing around? We are the underdog to the 0-3 Titans this week. The backup McD has been training up for 2 years looks like he just came out of a Power 5 conference…..last week. The offense looks bad with tons of talent brought in. You are talking about needing more than the top paid WR, the 11th top paid WR, Jonnu, and several top RBs. Exactly how many blue-chip offensive players do we need for McD’s offense to get higher than 28th? 2-3 more?
You say McD still hasn’t adjusted. Why not? You say this offense looks like the disaster from last year when we actually started to play good teams. Why is that? If he’s the answer, why can’t be fix these problems? And let’s be clear, our offense looked bad against top teams his first year too. We were 8-3 in 2022 and lost 5 of the last 6. When exactly are we going to expect more from him? Ross usually gets rid of dead weight in Year 4 and I fully expect him to finally jettison Mr. Uh, Uh, Uh, well they are professionals, so I don’t want to Uh, Uh, Uh. You know, guys.
I’m not saying it’s all McD. Tua has a lot of flaws including a lack of basic intelligence of when to slide. But, as you mention, Tua probably is closer to gone than staying and do you really want McD teaching the next QB? With how bad Skylar has looked? With how terrible our Tua focused offense has looked against good teams? Why?
Is PI a selective interpretation of the rule now a days?
He called a playaction hail Mary with nobody going to the end zone. Thats all I need to see from the offensive genius.
😂 the QBs stink.
It’s the perfect storm combination! Lol
ER, enjoy your negativity. The only one it affects is you.
Yep. I’m done caring. I said I was just going to enjoy laughing at this mess for now on. A lot of people saw this coming all Summer.
My hope is they pull the reverse uno card and win a few games at the end of the year to just miss the playoffs, keep the boobs in charge, and give yet another off season of false hope. It would be so Dolphin like. Lol
This team is rudderless.
La la la!!!
I’m a Dolphins fan….just not a happy on one 😒 😑
The scales ⚖️ should be should be replaced with a rudderless boat going around and around…imo.
Thank you, Mike E. for clinging to hope…lol
Guess I’m a little drunk from sleep….lol
Here is the deal. When players get paid they don’t play well their first year cause they’re partying. 🙂
New Age – I feel like every year you see teams have bad starts. I know you don’t think Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh sucks, yet there are the Ravens at 1-2. Granted, they were competitive, and looked they belong on the field in each game, but they didn’t lose their starting QB 3 quarters through their 2nd game. Harbaugh is a much more established coach, he’s been with that team since 2008, and they have one of the best GM’s in the business. I think the WR injuries surprised them, including OBJ, and I’d bet they didn’t think Skylar Thompson would be quite as bad as he was last week.
It’s not that I have some kind of die hard faith that MM can turn it around, but I think they almost have to play better than they have even if he doesn’t. The Titans aren’t very good, and we need that. I think we’ll have a better game this week by default. After that, we’ll see. I’m not hopeful, I just think things have to even out some.
Correct, the Titans aren’t very good, but they are an NFL team and playing like one, unlike the hot mess MM has put on the field the last 2 weeks
I don’t think we’re close to being able to lose to the jets by only 7, something the Titans did 2 weeks ago
At some point the players need to step up, the stupid penalties we saw last week weren’t all on Skylar, sure his lack of command probably contributed to the O penalties, but STs OMG with guys not lining up properly and Duke WTF
Saw several guys going in motion, that had some banana on it, the cheat motion that’s supposed to be called this year, guess the officials didn’t want to beat a dead horse
if MM was in the Army he’d be Court Martialed for the shit show last week
Steve – We should be better than we’ve played, you know that. I think by the law of averages we will
Good write Mike E I agree with a lot of what you said
Thanks Ken
Mike,
That’s fair. I agree that many teams have looked uncharacteristically bad. The Raven, Bengals, and 49ers. Others have had some very bad games, but we’ve looked unbelievably bad. The games weren’t close outside of a comeback win against a terrible Jax team. Tua looked awful against the Bills. I’m not basing most of this on post injury Tua but on preinjury. Team looked terrible. McD had 10 days to prep for this past game!!
I just don’t see the improvement in Year 3. We played the Bills extremely well the first year when they didn’t have an idea of what McD does. After that, they’ve dominated us. We aren’t beating good teams. Skylar looked like he had never played for us. How isn’t that on the coach to a point? This team looks like an extension of the coaching they’ve gotten. Unprepared. Lazy, Out of their league and sinking. The HC just doesn’t fiddle with play calling and give the guys a high five after a good play. The HC does a lot more than that. He has no clue how to get us back on track. No clue. It’s not all on him and getting Tua back will improve our fortunes to an extent, but I have no faith that he can turn us around or lead us with anyone else but Tua at the helm.
I don’t see any improvement either, believe me, I’m not seeing anything you’re not. I know we can’t be this bad though, even with a backup QB. I feel like we’re going to see a shift, and things will look better.

Freaking awesome Annie!
“Has he cleared concussion protocol yet?”
“Tua, no not yet.”
“I’m talking about Mike McDaniel”
LMAO!
Both teams were horrible in that game Sunday … the amount of penalties was sickening.. Tyreek has looked like he has quit in both the Seattle game , and the Bills game , even before Tua was hurt
I agree all is not lost but this OL needs to get it’s head out of it’s ass!!!
I know the playoffs are a long way off but we are currently the 8th seed right behind the 1-2 Raiders who have the #7 WC spot.
Our next 3 opponents (Titans, Pats and Colts) are a combined 2-7. We could be 3-3 by the return of Tua and the fest game. Maybe we can have OBJ and Chubb by then as well.
Should have said MM and the OL
Also, our SOS is going to take a huge hit over the next 3 games so we can’t afford going worse than 2-1 over that span.
After Sunday night we moved up to #6 in the draft but I guess the Bills winning outweighed the Jags losing in the SOS formula so our SOS went up dropping us the Pick #7 to start out the draft.
Just saw an updated 3 round mock draft having us take:
#7 S Malaki Starks, Georgia
#38 DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss
#98 TE Tyler Warren, PSU
#99 OG Dylan Fairchild, Georgia
This would be nice! Three of the 4 were in my mock draft. Of course they didn’t have QB as a need for us.
Saw another updated mock who had us taking QB Shedeur Sanders at #7. I say Hell No! That dude hangs on to the ball twice as long as Tannehill and already takes more sacks. He will never survive in the NFL.
Agreed
MikeE,
While I was reading your article I barfed up a 🦄 after choking on a ☘️ in my lucky charms! I slipped on a 🐰 🦶running to the bathroom….where I crapped a 🌈 out of my ass!
Anything’s possible! 😁

BREAKING: legendary Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre, announced to Congress that he has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and ‘don’t have long.’ This is extremely heartbreaking to me. Mr. Favre has always been kind and supportive to me. He needs our prayers. “Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others,” Favre said. “I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart.”
———-
I do NOT like Brett Favre due to his recent scandals. However, this is very sobering news to those who have suffered multiple concussions playing football. And the timing of this announcement is eerie as Tua just got another one (last week)… so did Lane Johnson of the Eagles (his 4th).
It’s up to the individual and their support group, along with medical professionals that may or may not influence their decision.
@AdamSchefter
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said it also was “a possibility, for sure” that Tyler Huntley would be Miami’s starting QB on Monday night vs. the Titans.
As it should be. The QB play was so awful Sunday why not go to a guy who has some off script ability.
Exactly.
@OmarKelly
“Just get this next win and everything goes back to normal,” Dolphins pass rusher Calais Campbell.
Calais Campbell said Anthony Weaver went play by play and showed defensive players not sticking to the script and it compromising the defense.
Both Odell Beckham Jr. and River Cracraft are eligible to come off injured lists and practice with the team as soon as Wednesday.

STUD!
@schadjoe
Underrated Miami Dolphins DT Zach Sieler has 10 sacks in his last 16 regular-season games. He also has 2 sacks in 2 Dolphins playoff games.
@schadjoe
The Dolphins are 4th in the NFL with 27 penalties and 2nd with 238 penalty yards Miami had five special teams penalties on Sunday via http://nflpenalties.com
Doesn’t matter. MM won’t stick with what works.
——
@schadjoe
The Dolphins are averaging 4.6 yards on on 20 rushes “up the middle,” per NFL stats, 13th in NFL.
On runs to ends or tackles, left to right, Miami ranks 24th, 22nd, 20th and 23rd.
@CameronWolfe
Dolphins are “optimistic” WR Odell Beckham Jr. will be able to practice once his window opens to be eligible to return from PUP after Week 4. HC Mike McDaniel says he’s had no setbacks.
Two other injuries: LT Terron Armstead and CB Kendall Fuller are in the concussion protocol.
@AdamHBeasley
Jaylen Waddle actually worked out with Snoop Huntley in the offseason. “He’s a playmaker.”
Someone down there in South Florida, please go kick Skylar in the ribs please.
@CameronWolfe
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said QB Skylar Thompson is day-to-day with a rib injury. Important next 48 hours to determine if he’s able to play Monday vs. Titans. If not, they will start Tim Boyle or Snoop Huntley.
McDaniel said they will continue evaluating outside QB options too.
Please don’t start Boyle, just put Huntley out there until and if Tua makes it back. So what Boyle looked better than Skylar, shit I would have looked better than Skylar on Sunday.
You have a better Quarterback on the team so play him.
You need to improvise right now MM start planning with that in mind
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-8Voa4v5qM/?igsh=enBuazA5M2Z1YTB5
Awesome!!
😆
Can’t wait to see the new movie “Reagan”.
LOL Randy, stop eating unicorns, rabbits and rainbows, you know your stomach gets upset when you do that!
Gonna need a bigger bucket 🪣
Son, he hears you. Hopefully MM will.
@AdamHBeasley
Don’t Overthink it, Mike McDaniel Snoop Huntley Is Miami Dolphins’ Only Viable Option at QB
👍
Terron Armstead is hurt???? No way, can’t believe it!
A concussion of all things
We could be short on CB’s Monday with the Fuller concussion and Duck hurt.
Ramsey, Bonner, Kohou and Neal are the 4 healthy on the 53. Nik Needham and Isaiah Johnson on the PS.
After last week’s display…MM needs to get his team to get their heads out of their asses, coaches (that means him too) and players.
WTF?!
LOL
I hate watching bad football! Can’t do it…lol
Still pissed…it was shameful
Tua wearing Prescription concussion sunglasses, hoody, and flying SE coast to NW coast compromising his well being and future…what a dumb fuck.
He added nothing except a reminder of his frailty…
It’s like not sliding after you easily have the first and putting your head down with a concussion history…what a dumb fuck.
All the best…but you do you…lol
Tua trained an entire off-season on learning how to protect his head and then purposely crashes head first needlessly expecting a different outcome. That’s fucking insane…cookoo thinking…lol…retarded.
Yup!
Now we need Snoop to come in and save our ass.
Don’t get what Tua was thinking.
I didn’t get on Sunday to express my condolences for the loss of Mercury Morris.
RIP 22, you were a great one ☝️
I missed another one last week. RIP JD Souther.
He was to the Eagles as Billy Preston was to the Beatles.
The fifth Eagle, if you will
( I know Eagles had 5 or more mostly)
Miami Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player | Week Three | It wasn’t the defense’s fault
By Marek Brave@MBrave13 Sep 24, 2024, 8:30am EDT
The MVP (Most Valuable ‘Phin) for week three is quarterback Skylar Thompson!
Just kidding. Did you almost have a heart attack there for a minute? My apologies, but I tend to make jokes during painful situations in an effort to alleviate some of the agony I’m experiencing. [lol…me too]
Speaking of painful, how about those Miami Dolphins, baby?!
Sure, they got walloped by three touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks, but at least Mike McDaniel was wearing some cool sneakers when it happened! And I sure do love his designer shades. My only request is that he start earning the money he uses to purchase those expensive items by actually preparing a gameplan for his backup quarterback instead of asking him to run the same intricate system specifically designed around Tua Tagovailoa’s $167 million skill set — a skill set that sits firmly on the injured reserve list at the moment. [perfectly stated…lol]
What am I writing about again?
Oh yeah, the MVP…Miami Dolphins Week Three MVP – Zach Sieler
Sunday’s loss cannot be pinned on the defense. They did give up 17 first half points, which is sub-optimal, however, they followed that up by only allowing seven points in the final two quarters of play. In fact, through three games of the 2024 NFL season, the defense has only surrendered those seven second-half points after blanking both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills in the third and fourth quarters during weeks one and two.
Of all of the Dolphins’ defenders, my game ball goes to defensive tackle Zach Sieler. [Herd’s boy…yay]
Sieler played his tail off all game long, making multiple impact plays including a sack of opposing quarterback Geno Smith and an interception off of a tipped ball later in the contest.
If Miami can somehow get their offense rolling (Snoop Huntley, anyone?) then, combined with the adequate defense we’ve seen from the Dolphins thus far this season, the team may be okay in the long run.
That is a BIG “if,” however.
MVP TRACKER
Week One – S Jevon Holland
Week Two – RB De’Von Achane
Week Three – DT Zach Sieler
I haven’t see any news on Crossman getting fired!
Did I miss that?! Lol
I’m fucking serious!
What’s the excuse this year?
Crossman: Coach, they changed the rules this year! It’s not my fault.
Coach (MM): I know, it’s ok, Tua is concussed and it’s not your fault. Let’s get you an extension.
Grier: On it coach!
LMAO! That sounds eerily accurate.
At least, an Extremely flawed Tyreek Hill can still fight for reform,” by Mike Freeman, USA Today.
Have you seen the legal team TH has hired and the statement he put out about the incident? He’s going after MDPD and more…lol
I haven’t see any news on Crossman getting fired!
Did I miss that?! Lol
————————-
They are doing things the Joe Biden way. Firing no one for incompetence.
Lol…they’re ALL incompetent!!!
That’s better than the Trump way. Hiring them for their incompetence.
Actually, it isn’t. Not that I would use Trump as the perfect business model, but there needs to be accountability. That’s one of the problems with teachers and tenure. Once they achieve tenure, they can’t be fired, no matter how horrible they are at their job.
Really?! So, if you hire someone you already know is incompetent that’s better because now you have an excuse….I knew they couldn’t do the job, but I hired them anyway…lmfao!
Oh my…that’s fucking insanity, too…lol
Joe Biden couldn’t fire anyone in his cabinet, he probably doesn’t know their names or phone numbers. 🤣
In his defense, it is hard to fire someone when you are really not in charge.
Guys. They’re both 80ish. It’s like which delusional senile grandpa you want to make fun of?
The joke is already on all of us pleebs.
It’s also not just about which person you like better, but policies moving forward. Two very different ideologies. In layman terms it’s about bigger vs. less government. Neither happens overnight.
Krishna – So you’re saying every person Trump hired is incompetent? That doesn’t look good for Biden/Harris because they kept on some of his hires, so you may want check that out. I wasn’t saying it’s better to hire incompetent people, but Trump did admit to making some poor hires. You’ll never hear that from Bien/Harris, never!
Lol….IF you read what I wrote, I stated they are ALL incompetent. REREAD it for comprehension purposes.
In response to Rock, YOU stated it was NOT better than the Trump way, i.e. hiring the incompetent, like Trump does.
Those are you words, not mine…lol
Don’t put YOUR words in my mouth…lol
Now, his bad hires have tenure…lmfao. Which is better Mike E.? Omfg!
I don’t know why people think Huntley gives us the best chance of winning. He is not very accurate. Doesn’t see the field well. He’s not as mobile as many people thinks he is.
His one start last year vs the Steelers he was 15/28 for 146, 1 TD, 0 INT’s and sacked 4 times for 28 yards.
Because he’s not Thompson. Lol
or Tim Boyle
How about Dave Hyde saying that multiple people said the team doesn’t practice very hard. That is absolutely believable after watching them. Undisciplined, confused, soft, and no heart. You play how you practice
It is believable.
WOW…
@flasportsbuzz
…Controversial Miami-Dade officer ended up citing a non-existent law in handcuffing Calais Campbell, we’ve confirmed https://miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/article292799434.html… And I spoke to Campbell and Jonnu Smith about the aftermath and where things stand:
Saw that. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon. Seen it here.
That’s really shitty to hear that it’s not uncommon in Florida, man. Just WOW!
And I mean, it’s Calais Campbell of all people! A heart of gold and as gentle as a teddy bear off the field: NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year… a CELEBRITY athlete for his charitable work for the underprivy.
I think the popos fucked with the wrong people in ‘Reek, Jonnu, and ESPECIALLY Calais Campbell.
Hey Krishna,
FINALLY, a subject we most DEFINITELY can agree upon!!! The arrest of ‘Reek, Jonnu, and Calais Campbell! 🙂
Lol…to be clear, I couldn’t read the article, but the MDPD and Torres who has a history of bad behavior (to me, that speaks to the culture of the “force” and tolerance for more than 20 fucking years) are bad eggs.
TH, as I pointed out/cited an USA Today article yesterday written by Freeman is going after the MDPD.
Despicable behavior.
And, it goes on in Texas too!!! Lol!
@Kramer9Tommy
With Brett Favre announcement yesterday, I feel it’s best I let everyone know that I was diagnosed with dementia just over a year ago at the NFL Cleveland Clinic. Dr’s say I could have anywhere from 2 to 10 years, just had my year check up and it hasn’t advanced and I’ve been sober for almost a year now which will definitely help. Please, no sympathy, I’ve lived a great life and wouldn’t change a thing. Nobody wanted to win more than me and I never gave up, and that’s exactly how I’m going to battle this. Football is the life we chose to live and sometimes stuff like this can happen. Im grateful to the NFL for the opportunity and am glad they are trying to do things to protect today’s players. Financially I’m fine, but I know there are players out there who I played with that need all the help they can get. Unfortunately for me, the NFL will only try to help out with any of my medical bills and therapy what my personal insurance won’t cover. I’m hoping to bring some awareness so the NFL will be able to help others and future players who are battling illnesses like myself. It’s still all about the fans for me, as long as I’m able, I’m going to continue to be out there and travel to the small towns which I love most and meet the fans. Thank you for all the support and always remember, “We’re not here for a long time, we’re here for a good time”. TK

The floodgates are being opened for Tua to retire.
I keep saying I have a feeling he retired this offseason. He and the dolphins work out an injury settlement.
retires
I agree with his approach to life and football, it was his decision to play the way he did, but NFL should try to make things safe
My problem is with the lower level NFL coaches, these are the guys telling players to give the extra cheap shots and the players who perform them
As far as concussions, just where those damn training camp thingies on top of the helmets already, like a seat belt in a car everybody must do it
Mike E/Tim,
did you see BOTH games against the Braves got postponed until Monday? Between that and the Monday night game, it has heartbreak and disappointment written all over it!
It’s the house of horror, just like with the Dolphins and the Bills. It never fucking ends.
^
Tua flew across the country 2700 miles and back and wore prescription concussion sunglasses and a hoody at a noon game on the west coast.
To me, it doesn’t seem like he’s taking his healing process seriously.
Brain injuries (trauma), in whatever form, concussion, stroke, virus, disease, etc. is never a good thing…imo.
If you ever wanted to err on the conservative side, this would be one of those times….lol.
He was cleared by the doctors to fly.
That’s fine and I clearly stated imo.
I have disagreed with many doctors about a number of issues over my lifetime including the well-being of loved ones. I’m not a yes man when it comes to me and my family’s health issues, including pets.
And, many times doctors have opted for a different path after my discussions with them.
Brian Tim – it has been a house of horrors for the Mets, but our team is different. They’ve been extremely resilient this season, i think they bounce right back. I also feel like things will change for the better here too, we’ll see.
It’s also a good thing for Lindor, maybe he can get himself healthy now with a few extra days. I know he was going to play, but this extra time should be a benefit.
Hope all of you in the south stay safe from this storm. Seems like a bad one
Will be fine here on the far western FL panhandle. Keaton Beach looks to be ground zero again. I really feel for them especially for the ones who live there year round.
My only problem with tying dementia to concussions is that 55 million people worldwide are diagnosed with it, and they believe about 3/4ths of people with it are undiagnosed and most cases being in poor countries. It’s just too early in the process of learning to attribute underlying reasoning. It’s very possible that it helped lead to it, but the media shouldn’t be throwing out guesswork as much as they do. They truly believe their only job is to push their preferred narratives over just giving out data.
We are already getting massive flooding at home so I hope everyone is and will continue to be ok.
All good in the Keys. Windy. We’ll see what happens with the surge in St Pete. Back yard is flooding but it always does. House is elevated.
Tuesday night we evacuated our son from Palmetto, he was living in a trailer right off of the 275 south causeway to St Pete
It was mandatory evacuation by 7am Wed, but when we got back Wednesday evening only about 3 trailers left
The only area we saw any real signs of the storm was in Bradenton, dark skies, windy gusts, lightning
in Sebastian this morning we had a tornado warning, the 🌪 was 10 miles to the south
on Huntley
you sign that type of improvising QB, when you’re in dire straights and nothing else is available, to make chicken salad out of…

All of you in the hurricane path stay safe.
I don’t recall any hurricanes in Iowa. Such a fabulous State! 🙂
Blizzards, tornadoes, droughts….
Well, not that it will really help our terrible sucky team, but next week 7 of the 14 players on PUP / IR are eligible to start practicing again (if they are able)
You guys feel like betting on whether OBJ practice next week? I think he pulls a Will Fuller. Tua being out and all.
WR Odell Beckham Jr., OLB Bradley Chubb, OLB Cameron Goode, OL Isaiah Wynn, WR River Cracraft, S Patrick McMorris, CB Cam Smith,
What bothers me the most of all of Grief’s blunders the past few seasons is the busts he selected as our top pick in back to back years. Tindall and Cam Smith are straight up busts.
We’re not in an ideal situation, but we’re 1-2, not 1-5. 🫣
YET
Huntley expected to start
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
for now, let’s see how I feel in a couple of days
How do you guys feel about NYC Mayor Adam’s indictment?
He says it’s a retaliation, after he complained to Biden/Harris about illegal immigration
Retaliation or corruption?
Corruption. He is a politician.
Translation to me, MM is going to try to get too cute and it is going to backfire. We will end being a bigger laughing stock. Maybe the defense will save us.

“We got a heck of a coaching staff who’s able to put together a crazy game plan,” Hill said. “It’s gonna be a crazy game, man. Monday night. Looking forward to it.

Teams generating the highest pressure rates per snap this season T-1. Jets – 44.7% T-1. Broncos – 44.7% 3. Seahawks – 44.2% 4. Dolphins – 42.7% 5. Steelers – 41.8% 6. Eagles – 41.1% 7. Giants – 40.2% 8. Texans – 39.8% 9. Browns – 39.4% 10. Rams – 37.9%
Though we don’t have one player in the top 15. Scheme??
Nah…pressures just don’t mean anything.

Tyreek Hill said he only took passes from Tim Boyle today.
The bigger question is, do you believe him?
@schadjoe
Tyreek Hill notes Dolphins went with a padded practice today
Tyreek says they want to be physical
The 3 teams spending the least amount of money at the WR position but focused on building solid OL’s have records of 3-0, 2-1 and 2-1. The 3-0 team and one of the 2-1 teams are spending less than 7 million in cap at the WR position.
The 5 teams spending the most cap toward the WR position are 2-1, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2 and 1-2. The Dolphins are the #5 team.
Hmmm
Bills at Ravens Sunday night. Hopefully the Ravens get their shit together this week.
STILL ALIVE and kickin’ here in the Tampa suburbs as Hurricane Helene continues north toward the big bend region and southern Georgia. Winds here in Lutz probably topped out at about 60-70 MPH. A large tree limb (about 20 feet long) landed with a thump in our front yard. Broken limbs are everywhere. In less than a month we’ll be moving about 50 miles north to a development in Brooksville just off I-75. Driving to work will take longer, but the traffic will be far less!
Have the Dolphins found an NFL-quality O-Line yet?? NOPE!!– not even close! –Gonna be another long and frustrating season.
Glad y’all are weathering the storm fine
For the first time in a long time, Ross’s Dolphins are a serious contender for the #1 overall draft pick. If Miami gets the overall #1 pick, should we trade down a few spots and acquire TWO later picks in the first round??
We need lots of help in MANY different positions. I can see a scenario where the Fins trade some current players for extra selections.
HOWEVER, the first big move needs to be in the owner’s box.
THAT is our biggest need!!
OD moving to the Villages. You Swinger you…
Be safe, all of y’all in Florida.
Hope all is well with you, MF-13!
All is well, my friend. Stay safe, you and the Mrs.!
Off to work tomorrow. Then home to start the clean up from Helene. My wife and I feel fortunate—very fortunate. This time we dodged a bullet.
Thank God!
I’m watching the Cowboys @ G-Men ‘night. I’m absolutely positive that had Steve Ross not cost us our 1st rounder, we would have selected CB Deonte Banks. Cam Smith would then have been an after thought.
Nice matchup between Cee Dee Lamb and Banks tonight.
Entering tonight’s game, I see that Giants’ T Evan Neal (Alabama, R1P7, 2022) has yet to take a snap this season… and he’s not injured, nor has been made inactive. He’s just riding the pines. He needs a change of scenery…
https://x.com/i/status/1756495650844189014
I do realize that he’s SUCKED ever since he turned pro, but something isn’t right. There’s too much talent there. Yes, he needs a change of scenery.
@houtz
de’Von achane is 4th in the NFL in missed tackles with 18. his 30% missed tackle rate is tied for 10th-highest among all players with 20+ touches per NGS
TEN has missed 27 tackles this season at a rate of 14.2%, translating to an additional 208 yards on the ground. (4th most)
@schadjoe
Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver wants opponents to have to pass it into the end zone if anything. Doesn’t want opponents running it in. Must be better in that area.
I thought we have already seen dumb and dumber…
@schadjoe
Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver, like me, prefers “obnoxious communication.” A noisy defense is a good defense. Weaver literally played a Dumb & Dumber clip for the team to show how annoyingly communicative he wants it.
We will see
@schadjoe
“We’re going to do everything we can to rattle this quarterback.” – Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver on Titans QB Will Levis
@OmarKelly
“We don’t have to make wholesale changes. It’s everybody watching a little bit more film or improve a technique they may be lacking,” Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver on his defense.
@schadjoe
Dolphins OC Frank Smith is asked about Tyler “Snoop” Huntley athleticism:
You have to assess the defense and how to create conflict. The starting point is always the defense. Who do they have and how can we attack it.
@schadjoe
Pad leverage and eye discipline has got to improve – Dolphins DL coach Austin Clark
@flasportsbuzz
Dolphins coaches have agreed today that run defense isn’t good enough. Dolphins have gone from top seven in the league in run defense/run offense per carry to bottom half. That has been damaging.
Really, really sucks! Estimated possibly up to 90% of homes gone in Keaton Beach including the one we always rent.
NEW BLOG UP!!!
