Stumblin’, bumblin’, fumblin’ . . .

Yes, folks, time to bring out the iconic photo that was not AI created that best represents this organization. I’m going to tell you , and I think those of you that know me, right before this week, you can see I was relenting to pull myself out of the just absolute pure hatred and disdain for the guys running this team and I made the 180 and I was going to try and be hopeful that they could ace this draft and get this team to a point where we could compete this season. All that just went right down the drain with the Jalen Ramsey news that came out yesterday. Let me explain why this should really be the final nail in the coffin for these clowns, Ross, Grier and McDaniel.

Let’s start with March of 2022 when the Dolphins made a philosophical change and tried to buy a championship here in Miami. Keep in mind, and this very important, that the Dolphins had 2 players that they drafted and got to the point where they were becoming the best players on either side of the ball for this team, DT/DE Christian Wilkins that they drafted #13 in the 2019 draft. In 2020, the Dolphins took big Robert Hunt, OG from Louisiana in RD 2 #39. While these 2 players, Wilkins and Hunt are developing nicely, the Dolphins instead of preparing to reward 2 players that they actually hit on in the draft, developed, and were the two best players respectively on the defensive and offensive lines, they shifted towards making a quick ascent to the top by acquiring WR Tyreek Hill from the Chiefs in March of 2022. The Dolphins surrendered a boatload of picks to get Tyreek Hill, a 2022 1st RD pick (#29), a 2024 2nd RD pick (#50), 2023 4th RD and 6th RD picks in 2023. The following year, again in March of 2023, (Beware the Ides of March?), the Dolphins acquired DB Jalen Ramsey from the LA Rams. We didn’t give up much to get him, TE Hunter Long who could never get going here, and a 3rd RD pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Dolphins also traded for OLB Bradley Chubb, surrendering more draft capital, the Dolphins sending their 2023 1st RD pick, 1 2024 4th RD pick in exchange for Chubb and RB Chase Edmonds. Here’s where the biggest problem starts . . .

Chris Grier gives Jalen Ramsey a 3YR/$72.3M extension in September of 2024, this already after jettisoning both DT/DE Christian Wilkins and OG Robert Hunt. To recap, the Dolphins acquire 3 players, WR Tyreek Hill, DB Jalen Ramsey and OLB Bradley Chubb. Hill 28 years old, Ramsey 29 years old and Bradley Chubb 26 years old. They let go players they drafted and developed, and if you follow the Dolphins, you damn well know how few players we actually hit on in the draft, so they let go Wilkins, 28 heading into his second contract, and Robert Hunt 28 also heading into his second contract. So they decided to pay guys they acquired from other teams and pay them, give up loads of draft picks, and then say goodbye to two of the best guys you actually drafted. But that’s not even the kicker! The kicker is, you give DB Jalen Ramsey this 3 year extension for $74M, and then in April of 2025, you report that both the team and Jalen Ramsey have mutually agreed that he should seek a trade. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK!!!!!!!

7 months ago, Jalen Ramsey had no problem grabbing the money, and now he wants out? Listen, I’ve been telling you all this roster that Grier has cobbled together is a dumpster fire, basically just filling roster spots with low cost players that are available and fit into our compromised salary cap situation. That’s the story, we did it last season, but we got lucky on two fronts. Terron Armstead was a warrior and he played nearly the entire season on a bad leg. Equally as important, Grier totally lucked out with DT/DE Calais Campbell both being available and then signing with us, after bringing in a whole bunch of JAGS also on 1 year contracts that were one by one let go until Calais Campbell came on board. Sooooo, besides CB, where are the two biggest holes???? Wellll, whaddaya know Chris, DT/DE and OG!!! Hey, remember Christian Wilkins and Robert Hunt? Sure would be nice to have those guys!

Those are the some of the worst moves, but I haven’t discussed the other worst move. I fucking begged the Dolphins to play QB Tua Tagovailoa on his 5th year option. BEGGED!!! Every article I pleaded for some sanity and foresight. I hear the cries of the Tua defenders, “OMG, if he plays great, like he did in 2023, we’ll have to pay him a GAZILLION DOLLARS!!!!!” I told you 2023 was a mirage. He played the entire season in bubble wrap, was so careful not to get hit, and mind you, that’s Tua at his best, and he STILL COULDN’T BEAT A GOOD TEAM OR EVEN PLAY HALFWAY DECENT IN A PLAYOFF GAME!!! Let me ask you, if we played Tua on his 5th year contract, what do you think he would be worth right now after missing 6 games last season? Surely, NOT $212M!!!! So many mistakes, starting with trying to buy a championship acquiring other teams guys, then paying them, 3 YR/$74M for Ramsey, in 2024, the Dolphins restructured WR Tyreek Hill’s contract to a 3 YR/$90M winner. Tyreek Hill, the 30 year old WR who couldn’t even manage 1000 yards receiving last season. The very same Tyreek Hill who pulled himself from the season finale last season because he was frustrated, Team Captain Tyreek Hill.

Just to give you some more perspective on the shitshow that is unraveling before us, in GM Chris Grier’s press conference the other day, when asked about team leaders, Grier mentions Zach Sieler, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Alec Ingold and Austin Jackson. Who DOESN’T Grier mention? You guessed it, “The Frajeel”, the $212M crystal chandelier, QB Tua Tagovailoa. Completely omitted and forgotten. Does all this get Grier fired? I think we know the answer is probably no. Just as important, WTF does this team do going forward? Are we able to get decent compensation for Jalen Ramsey? If we can’t, does he stay here with the rest of the misfit toys on this roster? I swear I was starting to hope we could have a strong draft and then Grier goes ahead an opens up a huge hole in the defense with the Jalen Ramsey news. Just a tremendous clusterfuck, and really, so unfair to Dolphins fans. It really is.

WordPress has been on crack lately. One thing that has happened to me is that now sometimes when I tap on “delete”….the old backspace…it doesn’t just delete the previous latter or digit….it will delete a whole paragraph! WTF? What did I do?

Other times I just can’t even type anything. The box pops up, but I can’t access it.

Randy, you have to click your mouse inside the box before you type. Another annoyance that occurs all the time with WordPress

  11. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

    Dolphins could have afforded him.

CB Tre’Davious White has agreed to terms with Bills on a one-year, $6.8 million max deal, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. White split time with the Rams and Ravens last season after spending the first seven with the Bills, who selected him in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

One thing I hate about this signing is Bills top need was CB and second need was DT.

Now, they have filled the CB need. I have seen many mocks with Bills taking DT Kenneth Grant. I would hate that for several reasons.

    • bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

We can’t assume that any of these FAs that we could afford actually WANT to come to Miami. At this point, they are probably willing to take less to be on a SB contending team. Unfortunately we are probably not thought of as a contender by 99% of the FAs anymore, but probably were in recent years.

  12. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

The simulator is fun, but I don’t see any of DT’s Harmon, Nolen, Grant or Tyleik Williams lasting to pick 48.

At the end of the 1st round, Bills, Chiefs and Eagles have a need of DT as either their 1st or 2nd need. Then Bears and 49’s before we pick in the 2nd.

  13. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Mike – I’m not even slightly worried about the Bills and what players they get. Realistically where heading for a reset so we won’t be competing with them. More than likely the Jets and Patriots pass us by this season

  14. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Any of you handy fellers around here help me with something please . . .

The # on a screw for the diameter, is the screw thicker as the numbers go up or down? Example, is a #2 screw thicker than a #4, or is it the other way around?

  15. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

    Mike E,

I think you’re giving Grier an awful lot of credit when you say Tua wouldn’t have gotten a huge contract this year as opposed to last year. I think it would have been nearly identical.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

LOL, I read this 3 times until I finally picked up the sarcasm. You’re probably right, the idiot would probably give him more!

  16. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

MikeE. are the screws stripped on the door or the armoire itself?

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Either way, take wooden toothpick and snip off the tapered end then insert the toothpick into the screw hole as far as it will go, mark it at the edge and snip it off. Douse the little piece of toothpick with wood glue and shove it back in the screw hole. Let it set 24 hours then reattach the door and your original screws should hold just fine after that. Done it many times.

Your wife will think you are a genius. lol

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Not the screws, but the holes. All the screws are just spinning around and they keep falling out. Do you think the thicker screw would work? I’m heading to Home Depot later for some wood stain/sealer anyway

      • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Not sure without looking at it but the wooden toothpick trick works and should work fine with the original screws.

  18. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    MikeE,

Are ya sure it’s the screws that are bad and not the holes? Wood usually strips before metal screws. You may need to go with bigger screws or use anchors.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Definitely the holes. I bought new screws just to be sure, and they’re just spinning around, same size. I’m going to go up in diameter and hope it sets.

  19. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    MikeE,

BBM had the best advice. Use that technique before using bigger screws. Sticking with the original size is best if possible.

I have my surgery scheduled now the day before the draft on Wednesday to get this thing yanked out of my chest. I will only be in the hospital 24 hours as long as it can be done with a scope. Won’t know the pathology results until the following Wednesday. I met with an Oncology doctor yesterday and he went over my labs and my PET scan with me. He feels it is not cancerous just like the thoracic surgeon said. He was the most thorough doctor I have ever talked to. Spent 20 minutes explaining what he is looking at on the scan and why he thinks it’s not. He said there is still a chance that it may have some bad cells but will have to wait for the pathology.

How good are the QB options in the 2026 draft? And, just how high in the draft do you need to get to pick a guy you think is worth it? I don’t think we’ll be in the top 3 of the draft in 2026, so how big of a move might we have to make and what assets will it take to get there?

This team needs to build, so I’m not really thrilled about the idea of giving away a bunch of draft picks over the next few years for a QB who really isn’t any better than Tua.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

on the surface and this early, 2026 seems like a good QB draft

but it’s very early and we have to see who’s coming out

Arch Manning may be the top QB if he comes out but he doesn’t have to come out

  34. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I agree with why is Grief holding a presser to tell us Ramsey wants out

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

becuase then it gets ugly. Today’s NFL doesn’t work that way; the players usually get their way. Look at all the top tier WR’s who have changed teams over the past five years.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

we’re going to suck anyways, whether or not he’s over there stewing or not

        We will

moving forward. If he doesn’t want to be here, that will only lead to problems in the locker room. Maybe we’ll get a 3rd for him. See ya.

  35. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

While waiting and getting my preops done yesterday, I was scanning Dolphins news. Can’t find the post now from one of the writers at athalon.

He was talking about how the Dolphins need not screw around and need to face reality. No one in the AFCE is going to unseat the Bills in 2025 with outside chance the Patriots. The AFC, again, will have a cluster of teams competing for the WC spots and the Dolphins more than likely will just miss.

They need to reset not soft reset or retool or whatever you want to call it. Dolphins in moving on from Ramsey will have 2 holes at CB, 2 holes at DT, at least 1 hole on OL. Looking at the bigger picture, due to the cap, Dolphins will also have to move on from Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb in 2026 and will they be able to resign Phillips. Then they have no TE’s under contract in 2026. Not to mention all the 1yr contract players who will have to be replaced, especially at Safety.

He said the Dolphins just need to blow it up now and I will try to remember all what he came up with in my next post. Work has been busy today.

Here is the major flaw in trading players and picks for the future: Grier is still here. He’s going to make the best decisions for the team for the short term, not the long term because he wants to save his job.

  42. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We need interior DL regardless of Grier trying to save his job. If we don’t address that he will lose his job.

  43. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Mike E. will like this. The guy saying the Dolphins should reset now said to clean house now by getting rid of Tua, Ramsey and Hill this year then Chubb next year and explained that it is doable.

Said Dolphins should restructure or extend a player to clear about 6m extra in 2025 cap.

Trade Hill for whatever a team is willing to give. It will only add 600K to his dead cap.

Trade Tua to the QB needy Saints for Picks #9, #131 and DT John Ridgeway, the Saints have the cap this year to take him on. Trading Tua will cause an extra 19.4m cap hit for the Dolphins but by clearing more cap the Dolphins can handle that.

Trade Ramsey post June 1st for a 2026 draft pick and clear another 6m in cap in 2025 and 2026.

This will leave the Dolphins about 10m in cap to sign rookies and contingencies.

The trades on Tua, Hill and Ramsey will clear 114m in 2026 cap. Then Chubb becomes tradable prior to the 2026 draft and clear another 7m, 121m total cleared for 2026.

  44. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

The Dolphins are prepared to take on the $29.2 million cap hit to trade Ramsey next week (or before June 1), but sources say teams are balking at being on the hook for all of Ramsey’s 2025 salary.

    Brian,

I know you love Warren, and I like the kid too. I wouldn’t even be upset if they drafted him at #13. I’d be disappointed but not upset. That said, Warren isn’t even on my radar at #13…nor is any other offensive “skill” guy.

I think the “right” decision is to focus on the LOS. Period. Full stop. There is no skill player who stands out that much…including Warren. Now, if Bo Jackson was sitting there at #13, I take him. Nobody in this draft comes close to that. This team needs to be built to support a young QB, I’d say, in about 3 years. If by that time, you’ve built a team that can support a QB, you can maybe even win a SB with a below elite QB like Philly did.

I’m always amazed that I am reamazed that the pull to the shiny objects just always gets bigger as the draft draws closer. It happens every damn year. Lol

  58. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

we need to disregard thoughts about our 2025 team/record for this draft

draft like you’re not even playing this year and you have the 2025 and 2026 drafts to field a team before playing again

stop the drafting thinking that you can win a playoff game this year

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

just build the team the right way

don’t even think of trading Ramsey for a player

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

again Steve, Grier is drafting for his job. He needs to win a playoff game for him to justify having one after this season. That’s most likely going to affect his decision making.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I don’t believe that, I think if he tells Ross what he’s doing Ross will buy in

Ross seems to be loyal to Grief as if he’s family

I’m praying what you said, is actually how Ross feels, not holding my breath

  59. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Brian,

I hear and relate to your inner Homer! In my heart of hearts I want us to draft a couple Iowa guys every year. Frankly, if we’d drafted a couple Iowa OL each year over the past 10 we’d have a helluva lot better OL right now than we do. But, my inner Homer is leaking out. Lol

  60. Randy's avatar Randy says:

That phinfanatic article just states what some of us have said about Tua and Hill from the get-go. But, it’s easy to say taking away a guy like Hill makes the QB better because he spreads the ball around more and doesn’t focus on him, it’s a lot harder to replace the impact that one guy has. Plus, it’s still on Tua if he’s focusing too much on Hill. Don’t. Who gives a shit if he gets 2000 yards receiving? I don’t. I want to win. That kind of lazy ass leadership is why this team sucks.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

and that’s why I refer to him as 🧁

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Also, it doesn’t matter if they trade Hill or not. That won’t make Tua a better QB. Tua is going to be coached the same in that he needs to protect himself.

That said, Tua’s alarm clock will continue to go off at 2.5 seconds and then get rid of it. The play will still be called for a specific target, whether it’s Hill or someone else. If his 1st and 2nd reads aren’t there, get rid of it and don’t try to extend the play.

The article would make more sense if it were a different QB and not someone who will be coached to save himself.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Tua is a pussy, a big ole weenie, he doesn’t want to deal with Tyreek’s wrath, when not looking his way first

you could say Tua and MM are both 🧁 🧁

show me the money he said before he re-signed last offseason, now he’s got his money and us no where to be seen, not an oversight Grief didn’t mention him as a leader

  61. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Kiper has us taking Jahdae Barron at 13, I think it would be a safe pick

CBs are expensive, and this draft isn’t exactly loaded at CB

Our D may suck no matter who we draft, take Tyler Warren and give 🧁🧁 his Gronk

  63. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

  65. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Call him Hawk Tuah. lol

  66. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    steve,

I don’t think Warren is a Gronk. He’s more of a Crash Jensen in terms of play style. As far as a go-to guy, none of us know if he can be that sort of player yet. I think he’s gonna have a harder time finding space in the NFL, but the possibility is sure there. He’s definitely a tool that a smart OC might be able to really take advantage of…do we have one of those? Asking for a friend. 🙂

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I honestly feel like he would be a lethal weapon in MM’s offense. He’s kind of like a Jensen on steroids .

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

He was definitely a go to while at Penn St the last two years. Whether that translates to the NFL is another story, but I think it will.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

No one is, just meant his security blanket, someone to throw to, when you need a big first down

Brady wasn’t all that without his blanket, still better than 🧁🧁

  67. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I am seeing Warren going to the piece of shit Jets. I will be livid if that happens. Even if he goes to the Colts or the Bears, I can still root for him.

  68. Randy's avatar Randy says:

For your sake and happiness, I hope Warren doesn’t go to the yets. That would suck. Best to put up a plexiglass shield in front of your TV next week. Lol

Why do I have a feeling we are going to get a fourth rounder for Ramsey, get slammed with a huge cap hit AND pay a portion of his salary?

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

because no one wants to pay his 21m for this year

Grief needs to hold out as long as possible, the longer he waits the better the deal, if he trades too quick he may have to eat 10m

      • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

right, and here is where Grier makes his mistakes: we gave up a 3rd and THEN gave him a huge extension, and then another. We always seem to take it on the chin .

    ———–

    His name is WALTER NOLEN!

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

There’s only ONE player across the fruited plain who played better than Walter Nolen against the run last season: Mason Graham. And Mason Graham had the help of Kenneth Grant playing right beside him… think about that.

Plus, Walter Nolen played in the SEC, to boot.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

And ICYMI, I already sleuthed out the ‘maturity issues’ regarding Nolen via Grok 3: nothing more than unsubstantiated rumors, mostly because he chose to skip the Combine for whatever reason.

I’ll call that curious, but not a red flag for maturity issues.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

“Walter Nolen, a projected first-round pick, chose to skip the NFL Combine on-field drills but still participated in medical evaluations and meetings with teams. He opted to focus on Pro Day workouts at Ole Miss instead. This strategy allows players to control the drills and showcase their abilities in a familiar environment, potentially reducing the risk of injury or performing poorly under pressure.”

  72. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

if the talent is there, I would definitely prefer DT @13 than CB

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Given the current circumstances with our Phins right now? ABSOLUTELY agreed.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

With Walter Nolen and Sack Sieler manning our interior, you can’t run and you can’t hide.

I also think our LB room is looking good to stop the run.

And our EDGEs have the potential to really put the pressure on opposing Offenses.

All of these equals making life easier for our Secondary.

      • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

        my thoughts exactly M13!

  73. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Now look at the list of BIG name players who skipped the Combine drills this season in the link below…

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/02/27/nfl-combine-participants-skipping-drills-list/80711854007/

But if Walter Nolen does the same… BAD Walter Nolen! SMH

Some team is trying to tank his stock so they can get him.

  74. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Last thing this evening about my man-crush Walter Nolen, before it gets OLD! LOL

His floor is already HIGH, but his ceiling is even HIGHER. The potential with this kid is unbelievable. He is, after all, the former #1 recruit of the 2022 class. He’s arriving on time, and the proof is in the pudding with what he did to the SEC last season.

And YES… he has the frame to add more muscle. He almost looks skinny at his 295-pound playing weight.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

When I say “skinny” it’s relative to your average DT, of course.

Oh! And one last thing… Nolen has played every single position on the D-Line (minus the 0-tech), sometimes even lining up in the ‘Wide-9’ at 295 pounds… and he damn near got the QB on a couple of occasions.

  75. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    Tim,

    Now then! LOL 😀

Have I made myself clear about adding an interior D-Lineman?!! 😉

  76. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I suppose the only argument for taking CB over DT @23 is this is a VERY deep class for DT’s. But then again, we probably need more than one from this draft.

  77. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

M13 and Brian, we need interior DL more than one OL position. If it’s equal we have to go DL.

    ————

    I hope we’re right, man!

But I caution, do not underestimate getting a STUD, SHUTDOWN CB (Will Johnson) on a rookie deal. Part of the reason we’re in this financial mess? We overpaid for Jalen Ramsey (and then EXTENDED him!!!).

Can’t pay BIG $$$ for your QB, your WR, and your CB all at the same time. Aside from a pass-rushing specialist, these are the top-PAID positions in the NFL.

I’m NOT a proponent (given our current situation) to draft Will Johnson, but it makes $en$e from a financial standpoint.

Again, I hope we’re right, man!

  79. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Did y’all know that my R2P48 (Wyatt Milum LT/LG, West Virginia) has never given up a sack (2,311 snaps!) in his collegiate career? And best part about it? He’s a ZONE king! Yup, he’s 317 pounds of pure ZBS.

You don’t even need to watch his ‘tape’. Just put on his highlights and you can see just how prolific he is as a blocker.

His short arms qualify him as a potential Guard in the NFL. And if Darth Paul doesn’t work out at LT (I see no reason why he wouldn’t), Milum can handle the LT position.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I truly want to see us get BIGGER (heavier) at the Guard positions. 320+ pounds is what I’m shooting for, and one of the reasons why I wanted to nab James Daniels so badly (he’s another ZBS dandy).

I think ZBS Wyatt Milum at 317 (he’ll get to 320+, bet) is the perfect fit for our O-Line.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Seriously, if we’re rocking a Center who is barely 300 soaking wet, we’d better have some MEAT on both sides of him.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

watched Milum tape a while back, me likes

  80. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

never thought I’d say this again, I like Omar in this stage of our team, he’s never been a yes sir guy, he’s not shy about going right after anyone from our front office, he’ll sort of hold them accountable by calling out the BS, especially from Grief

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

it’s tough to play outside CB in the NFL at 5’10” when you only have a 32″ vertical

I like smallish CBs, they’re quicker and have better recovery speed, than taller ones, it’s just tough with no jumping ability

  81. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

MF, you asked why I didn’t like Nolen, couldn’t remember, went back and looked at him again and I agree with everything you’ve said about him, he’d be a great addition at 13

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

Yeah, I do too, but I’m still not confident Tim. There were so many games last year when I thought “how the fuck are they not scoring more?” , even when Tua was in. I’m concerned about MM and the Gary he had major problems countering opposing DC’s adjustments to his offense.

  89. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Yes, that’s what Brian is saying above there’s no counter moves

    150. J.J. Pegues DT Ole Miss
    155. Riley Leonard QB Notre Dame

Nice Tim. I would take Harmon and Jackson. I would take this draft minus Riley Leonard, though the dude can pick up some first downs with his legs. I think I would take McCord over Leonard at that spot.

  91. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

    Tim,

we definitely need to get better up front- our running game wasn’t anywhere near where it was in the prior two years. Was that because of the OL, or because they were able stack the box because they had our pass game figured out? I hope it’s the former.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I felt like in situational football, we couldn’t block 3rd and 7 or 3rd and 2.

      • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

yeah, I hope you’re right and Daniels works out and we get another piece for either G spot. The uncertainty is we really don’t know what we have with PP. we need a good G next to him for sure

  92. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I really think the Dolphins like DT Alfred Collins at #48. I am just up in the air on whether they go OL or CB in the 1st round. We say he is not a fit, but the Dolphins seem to like Tyler Booker also.

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I think Booker @13 is a major reach, no? Are you saying Booker if we’re able to trade down (which is easier said than done).

      • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Yes, trade down. I wasn’t a fan of booker in our system. Was just saying it was reported that the Dolphins liked him. If they take him, I hope it is in a trade down. He’s the best IOL pass blocker in the draft but just average in run blocking.
