2025 Season – Game 11 – Comandantes en Delfines en Madrid

A home game in Madrid! Awesome! We may actually have a home team advantage with more Dolphins fans than Commanders fans in Madrid than we would at home at Hard Rock, although it’s possible there are delusional fans who think because we beat the Bills that we’re on our way to the Super Bowl. Dolphins fans are some of the flip-floppiest people I’ve ever seen. If you’re insulted by this, then stop fucking flip-flopping! We hit rock bottom losing to the Browns and everyone, even the most absurd Tua stans jump of his wood. Now they’re beating their chest on top of the Panorama Tower in Miami like Tua is Tom Brady in his prime. Besides just gushing about Tua, they’re on the crazy train that this team is ready to make their move and defeat all comers and vanquish the AFC all the way to the Superbowl.

OK, let’s just gather ourselves for a minute. This is not a good roster, and yes, we’re probably going to beat the Comandantes en Madrid porque Los Comandantes suck way worse than our team currently does. The Commanders have lost 5 in a row, the last 4 by more than 20 points in each game. Without QB Jayden Daniels, the Commanders are lost. Marcus Mariota actually has a BETTER passer rating than Tua Tagovailoa, 91.9 vs 87.6. Put that in your Tua cigar and smoke it! There are just so many Tua fans on X that are beyond delusional. Tua is irrelevant, and the only reason at all he may return as the starting QB next season is because of his ungodly salary and cap hit. No one is trading for him, although I wish like hell someone would. Tua’s salary is also the main reason why the Dolphins may waste yet another season by retaining HC Mike McDaniel. That’s a big slap in the face to all Dolphins, even you Tua stans.

There’s a “Report Card” circulating around X that has the Dolphins as A+ according to NFL players. #1 in the NFL to the players in every single category.

Coach A+

Owner A+

Food A+

Travel A+

Weight Room A+

Treatment of family (Players families) A+

You know what? That’s great to see, it really. You know what else though? It’s time to get A+ rating from the fans by becoming a legit contender!

STEP 1 – At the end of the season, FIRE MIKE McDANIEL!!!

STEP 2 – Before the season ends, give QB Quinn Ewers playing time, preferably at least 3 games or more so you can see if this kid translates to a decent backup with starter potential or just a 3rd string QB that doesn’t need to make the 53 man next season

STEP 3 – While all this is happening, Tom Garfinkle and everyone who is qualified in the Dolphins Front Office should be researching, scouring the NFL to find our next GM. Once that list is finalized, they should begin interviewing these candidates so we have our new GM in place as quickly as possible to handle all the necessary steps to be ready for off season activities such as roster management and assessment, preparation for the 2026 Draft and anything else that needs to be done to be ready for next season

STEP 4 – Thank Champ Kelly for taking over mid season but let him know at the end of this season, his job is done and if he’d like to return here to Miami, it will be in a different capacity.

So, back to Madrid, where our Dolphins most likely will be 4-7 at around 1PM EST, or 10AM on the West Coast. I know some people are going to get excited that we’re BACK, and ready to be a Wild Card spoiler in the AFC. We might just see RT Austin Jackson and RG James Daniels on the field, and is it possible that with those 2, the offensive line will be better and complete? Sure, it’s possible, but it’s also possible those 2 are rusty, especially Daniels who missed tons of time after going out for the season with an achilles injury for Pittsburgh Week 4 of 2024. He played a couple of snaps for us before going out on IR (Imagine that??) in Week 1, so that makes for a lot of missed playing time and a lot of rust to shake off. We’ll have to wait and see. Austin Jackson was limited in practice so don’t expect him to play and James Daniels has yet to practice.

Los Comandantes feature a defense worse than ours, allowing 28 PPG good for 29th out of 32. Our Dolphins have a defensive surge lately and have moved up to #24. Hard to believe that the Commanders with the combo of Jayden Daniels/Marcus Mariota are actually ranked better than our Tua led Dolphins, Los Comandantes are #22 at 22.3 PPG while our Achane’s are at 25 at 21.0 PPG. Can you just imagine this offense w/o De’Von Achane? He’s the most impactful RB in the NFL right now outside of the Colts Jonathan Taylor. Achane has 785 rushing yards with a ridiculous 6.6 YPC and 5 rushing TD’s, and has an additional 325 yards receiving and 4 TD’s. He’s unbelievable, and he will an UFA at the end of next season unless we take of our 25 year old superstar next season. Thankfully, Grier isn’t here to tell Achane he’s “Earned the right to become a Free Agent”. Ugh!

I’m not going to discuss the 2 anchors, Former GM Chris Grier and current Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa. They are the culprits for the Cap Hell this team will be in for the ’26 season and beyond until all that DEAD CAP MONEY is gone from Grier restructuring deals and pushing money owed to the future when he’s smoking cuban cigars watching the games from his comfortable couch. If he gets another NFL executive job it will NEVER be as a GM, not by any NFL Owner with half a brain or more anyway. Tua will almost certainly be here in 2026, but once again, that doesn’t mean he has to be the starting QB if we have someone else worthy of replacing him. Tua is getting paid whether he starts or sits, and if you’re like me, you probably can’t wait for that show to end. No matter how far we get this season, I’d bet that when the chips are down as to whether we make the playoffs or not, good ole Tua will be there to let us all down, you watch!

Time to open up the passing game!

  2. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Why am I sacrificing my sleep for this game?

  3. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Here’s a clear case where the Halftime Show will be far better than the actual game

  4. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

Awesome you are there in person Bri. I think Ken said he was going too. I nearly went as it’s such an iconic venue to footy fans. Flights were OK but tix were outrageous and hoteliers were gouging like the first day hospitality reopened after Covid. After reading the tea leaves I also thought this season would be wretched so I’m streaming it on NFLN. Fingers crossed fins do you a solid Bri

  5. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Jordyn Brooks has 13 tackles, 7 solo in just the first half.

  6. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

From last page Steve – started following NFL at Uni in 1984. So technically old enough, but the embryonic internet or UK TV was certainly not around in the early 70s to bring gridiron here

The early season defense has returned.

  8. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

if they weren’t behind the clock every eff’n play maybe they would be able to execute instead of looking panicked.

  9. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I HATE MM’s 4th and goal play calls!

  10. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Also, on that 3rd and goal, Ingold whiffed on the block allowing 2 guys to get to Gordon. That’s the 3rd whiff I have seen Ingold make this game.

I can not stand to watch Tina anymore.

  12. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

So Dr. Jekyll stayed Stateside this week and sent Mr. Hyde? Wet tissue defense and rushed plays = TD for then and FA for us. We were due another bad one in a woefully inconsistent season

  13. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Asking for a friend . . . Was that a PUNT attempt by Tua there?

  14. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Why are we always up against the clock?

  15. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Great block by Julian Hill on that TD run by Gordon.

  16. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

We need to resign Dulcich and Julian Hill.

SBJ – Escapes the pocket and still holds the ball for a sack. Dude must be dumb as a box of rocks.

  23. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Yeah, we got the muffed punt recovery.

WTF was that before? Screen pass, failed screen pass, Tua sack instead of throwing the ball away. SMH

  24. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

    A win is a win!

  25. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Achane hurt on a stupid call when Gordon should have been the RB!

  26. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

unbelievable to go for it there.

  27. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

They basically took the ball out of Tua’s hands for most of this game

  28. twicethethe's avatar twicethethe says:

  33. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    why are they calling timeout!

  34. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

This is all helpful in the quest to get MM fired.

  35. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

if this shit doesn’t get him fired, I don’t know what will.

  36. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

achane with no situational awareness when he ran to the outside and got pushed ob. Clock stops on the injury when we should have run ollie, then not taking the points.

  37. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Let’s call fucking time outs so the Commanders have plenty of time to drive into FG range.

    Please fire this fucking idiot!!!!

  38. pbfinfan's avatar pbfinfan says:

he has to lose his job over this!!

  39. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

    Crazy Game!

  40. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

first time in dolphins history a kicker missed a long game winning fg

  41. twicethethe's avatar twicethethe says:

Waddle does that way too much

  42. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

and now you let the other team have the ball first in overtime!?!

  43. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

    🤡 13 v 🤡 13

Painful to extend this. If it was an animal they’d put it to sleep

  44. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

WTF, we win the toss and elect to kick in overtime?

  45. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Fucking overtime when I need to be going asleep. I have to be back at work at 8pm. Sucks. Too pissed to fall asleep right now anyway. lol

  46. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

now that a td doesn’t automatically win it, I’m ok kicking first

  47. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I mean I’ve seen some stupid shit before, but this takes the cake. I don’t care if we win or not. WTF?

And that last pass from Tua was a bad throw. Put it where it’s supposed to be with your amazing accuracy that we hear about constantly, and it’s an easy catch and puts you in position to try a FG at least.

  48. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

Since both teams are guaranteed the ball now in OT, most teams that win the toss kick.

  49. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    jones!

  50. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

In Achane we trust. Tua, not so much

  51. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

FG wins it. Expect Tua to lose 35yds on a sack

  52. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    good to see achane back

  53. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I don’t mind kicking in OT. You get the ball too, and it lets you know if you need a FG or TD.

  54. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

    lol, another TO

  55. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

So what Vilma is saying is we basically have a $53M per year game manager for our QB

  56. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

    WIN!!!!!!

  57. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I still feel like we lost in a way.

  58. Randy's avatar Randy says:

That was just some real Forrest Gump shit right there.

  59. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

    Still in the Hunt!

  60. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

We won that game despite Tua and Mike McDaniel. Hopefully Ross realizes that both of those guys should be gone next season.

  61. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That was about as hollow a WIN as a win can be. Our HC is clueless, and now we realize we’re paying $53M per season to a Game Manager QB, who BTW got lucky he wasn’t picked off on that awful deep throw on 1st down

  62. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    MikeE,

I don’t watch pregame crap much unless it’s about our game. It was interesting to see all the hype or talk about us coming up to the game had little to do with Tua. They talked about Achane and Waddle. I think even the NFL folks have moved on from Tua because they almost always talk about the QBs.

  63. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    steve,

That applies whether you kick or receive. If you receive the ball you better score because you may not get another chance.

  64. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Todd Bowles with a challenge worthy of McD.

  65. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

New GM can get rid of anyone they want besides Achane. Man that guy bails this offense out so often. He’s incredible!

The limited QB really hurts this offense. 1 more year……

Hopefully new HC next year and new QB after that

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Mike McDaniel will be back next seson get use to that fact!

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

ER, so much of my frustration comes from knowing we’re still a year and a half away from being able to really get into rebuilding. We’re stuck with Tua next year and likely McDaniel as well because of Tua.

  66. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Can some of you enjoy the win?

    • bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

No. Not me. As Mike said, a hallow win. Hopefully MM did enough stupid stuff to show he needs to be fired. Tua has become awful.

  67. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

What part of the fact that the Dolphins owner actually likes Mike McDaniel do some of you delusional people not understand?

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

The only joy for some of you is at least they fired Chris Grier and is cleaning house in the front office executives, getting rid og co-directors of player personnel Adam Engroff and Anthony Hunt.

  68. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Jordan Love has been absolutely awful the last month+

  69. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

i don’t even know what to say about today’s game, the timeouts at the end of the fourth quarter, going forward. On fourth and one SMH

  70. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

I can enjoy being 2-0 since losing Grier’s stank. 😂

  71. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Markey – There is a small part of me that hopes Ross just didn’t want to waste time firing McDaniel in season because it just doesn’t matter much either way. To act though like Ross loves McDaniel is just silly talk. He looked like a jackass today not kicking the FG and if he lost, I wonder if he would have been fired after the game. McDaniel sucks as HC as much as Grier sucks as GM. One is already gone, the other will follow at the end of the season

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

you’re going to be disappointed Tua and McDaniel will be back next year

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Most normal people will be disappointed if they run both of them back. We’ve seen enough, next year will be another wasted year with a GM who isn’t qualified making crucial draft picks and a HC who is in over his head, and a QB who is now Ryan Tannehill Part II

      • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

I think if this team kind of avoid injuries, they are more than Good enough to make it to the playoffs and win games and potentially make it to the Super Bowl

  72. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Nice try? Not sure what that means. I can be happy Grier is gone while you can continue to make excuses for him. Fact is 4-7 and season was lost weeks ago

  73. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

I think some of you fail to take into account that we have been without our two of our best offensive lineman since week, one

  74. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Also, when you take into account that we had made changes on defense that took time to develop but now they’re playing much better. Also keep in mind. We’re a top 10 youngest team in the league right now

I’m not sure what more any of you should be looking for

    • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

“I think if this team kind of avoid injuries, they are more than Good enough to make it to the playoffs and win games and potentially make it to the Super Bowl”

What are you smoking? What part of the shit show we just watched makes you think this team has any chance of making the playoffs, much less the Super Bowl? They stumbled to a win against a team without its starting QB, best defender , and best WR just to name two missing players.

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Many of you have been influence by viewpoints here that are not consistent with the majority of Dolphins fans IMHO

  75. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

is Hard type with this crappy format. Whatever reason it freezes up when you’re posting and won’t allow you to make the changes

  76. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I’m very happy we got the win, but there are some serious concerns .

Mariota looked as good as Tua today, and he’s probably making $43 million less.
mcDaniel is very questionable making calls when the game is on the line. Those goal line calls were atrocious.

  77. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Markey – I gotta laugh. What I read in your last comment is the equivalent of causing a 30 car pileup accident in which 60 people were injured but saying we’re OK, so it’s all good.

  78. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Washington just had too many injuries to win. 🙂

  79. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Ugly win against a very bad Redskins team. I don’t care quite as much about the draft pick with no good QBs early. We might still pick around 10-14 and just get the best CB or OL you an at that spot. Set up the players around our next QB in 2027? We have a solid chance at 8-9 for the season though and a worse pick. We have played another really easy schedule this year. Honestly, this team should be a perennial playoff team with the schedules we’ve had the past 4 years. Maybe one day.

  80. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Your Boy Justin Herbert sucks today they are losing to the Jags 28-6

  81. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

the redskins were about to make history for their 5th consecutive loss of 21+ points, and weak ass MM almost handed them a win

If you go for it on that 4th and 1, you’d better have a great play called, not just run up the middle

  82. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Bucs should be up 3 but they started chasing points, smh.

  83. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Josh Allen can be reckless, careless, but he’s light-years better than Tua. He’s such a dangerous offensive weapon. He has 5 TD’s against a good Bucs team when our QB doesn’t throw a pass the entire 4th quarter

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

you insinuate that’s a bad thing

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Which part are you referring to? Tua not throwing a 4th quarter pass? Just shows you the difference in where the two QB’s are. Bills look to Allen to win games and Dolphins try to make sure Tua doesn’t lose it. How the fuck do you run that back here for next season? I think all Dolphins fan should opt out of renewing their tickets

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

      Make it a 6 pack

  84. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Who’s boy is Herbert? If you are talking about QBs most here would rather have than Tua, that’s going to be a very long list. If you’re talking about another Grier mistake, that would be accurate too.

  85. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Best quote from the locker room: Linebacker Jordyn Brooks said Jones called his shot before the overtime interception. “If y’all stop the run, [Mariota’s] gonna throw it to me because he can’t throw,” Jones said. — Marcel Louis-Jacques

  86. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Carolina just won the OT coin toss and elected to kick as well. Thats what I would choose as well with the new rules.

  87. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

    Tua career record 44-31

    Herbert career record 48-42

    Fact!

  88. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

    Markeyh,

in response to “we won, that’s all that matters”:

for today, yes you are correct.

for the future, you’d couldn’t be more wrong.

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

I win now or in the future is still a win that’s the objective of the game

      • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

That should also be the objective of true fan

      • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I think that you’re missing my point . We don’t have much of a future with Tua as our QB. Do you realize what his QBR is? It’s 27th in the NFL. He’s severely regressed since 2023. He won’t be on the team past the 2026 season. Hes making about $40 million more than the QB he played against today, and he didn’t look any better. Washington came in on a historically bad for game stretch on D, and we put up 1 TD on them.

  89. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

when the Dolphins are healthy. They are a top team

  90. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

but they need the playoff back to back in 23 and 24 for the first time in over 20 years. Don’t let those facts get in your way

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

      I meant 22 and 23

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

those facts mean shit to me. My hope as a fan isn’t that they “make the playoffs”. It’s that they win playoff games, continue to u prove and eventually win the Super Bowl. Those “facts”

suggest that this team has regressed the past two seasons, which they have massively.

  91. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I brought up Grier because I figured you were referencing a different year. If you mean the current roster that insane. This roster was flawed to death before the season even started. Gambled on an OG coming off a bad injury. Drafting a turnstile for a LG. Counting on a TE was retired due to injury and frustration from those injuries. We’re the De’Von Achanes, and that fucker isn’t even signed for next season. You can thank your pal Chris Grier fir that. I guess De’Von Achane has also earned his roght to be a Free Agent.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I guess we’re signing rookies for 3 years now

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

we have the ninth youngest roster in the NFL after this year‘s draft so they go to a transition and it appears that they’re finally getting on track. They have good coaching (minus the head coach) and they’re finally getting on track. We’ll see how the season goes.

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

Achane was Drafted by Greer he would’ve resigned him just as well as whoever will be in place will give him a contract extension. He is our best player by the way and he was drafted by Chris Greer.

  92. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

KC vs Denver game has a penalty on every other play

  93. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

The Dolphins won three of their last four games the time you guys get back on the bandwagon and quit bitching

  94. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

Take the bye week to get Ewers ready. Play anybody who is young and let them get experience. Anybody who thinks this team, with this coach, can make a “run”, is delusional.

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

I don’t think they’re gonna make a run, but I’m not rooting for him not to we will see how this season ends no matter what I can guarantee you one fact, both the head coach and the quarterback will be back next year

  95. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

We have a young team because Grier blew his load on all those trades and Free agent signings and cap wrecking contracts that will hurt this team for another few seasons, so we have to rely on our draft picks and UDFA’s to play because we have no cap room. You continue to bring thst up as if Grier designed things this way when in reality he had no choice but to do this. This roster isn’t good. If Achane got hurt this team would be horrible

    • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

once again Chris Greer is gone. Why do you keep bringing him up? fact is this young team is playing well and there is a lot to build on. You guys need to open up your eyes and quit being so close minded

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

OMG, you’re like a Chatty Kathy doll. Because he built this shitty roster thst you keep wrongly praising and as far as Achane, Grier dropped the ball not re-signing him. He’s going to be a very expensive free agent now. Bad job by Grier as per usghe

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Just for the record Achane is in his 3rd season of a standard 4 yr rookie contract

      • markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

i’m fine with just moving on from Chris Greer whatever you think he did Doesn’t matter anymore he’s been fired

You seem to just wanna have something to argue about time to move on to bigger and better things

  96. markeyh's avatar markeyh says:

I have no problem with the fact that Chris Greer tried to make it work. It didn’t work and he paid the price move on!

  97. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

a trade proposal.I heard today was straight up two or for kyler murray
