Happy Thanksgiving to all of us turkeys who still root for this team. It’s getting harder every year, because we seem to be going in the wrong direction, but as fans, we have no control as to the direction the team goes. It seemed as if Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross was heading in the right direction when he let go former GM Chris Grier, but now we’re in a holding pattern. Let’s all hope we get a big surprise at season’s end and we actually clean up this mess and start anew with a new GM, new Head Coach and hopefully a winning direction! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with your families or friends or combination of both. Eat well, drink well, and enjoy! Cheers!
Happy Thanksgiving!

You need to cross over from the Dark Side π
Happy Thanksivging!!!
Ha! This team IS The Dark Side! Ross may as well be the Sith Lord right now
Happy Thanksgiving, Mike E. and thank you, thank you, thank you for your writes!
And of course to all. I day of gratitude.
happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!
BBM thankful to have met every one of you here in cyberspace!
why just cyberspace π
Because I have never personally met any of you yet except for Rhino and Krishna.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
What do we have to be thankful for as a Fins fan?
Well, after the bad start we’ve cleaned some things up, especially on the Weaverside, and are now back in the hunt (as fragile as that is)
2 months ago, when the sky was falling, our franchise looked hopeless, I don’t feel that way today
The future isn’t exactly bright, but the 180 turn around does give future hope
3 unsung heroes of the season
Julian Hill, Dulcich, and Brunskill
TE was and still is a need, but not as bad now as when the season started, we now have a TE foundation
I say resign all three, especially the TE’s.
agreed and Rucci on PS
Thanksgiving the no bitch day, a great American holiday
They can bring back all 3 TE’s for competition, but please draft a legit TE
“Well, after the bad start weβve cleaned some things up, especially on the Weaverside”
If things are put into perspective, Weaver was forced to use rookies to start the season as opposed to the veterans he had last season, who were released or moved on.
So it took time for these rookies to develop, and the only way they could by playing.
Now that they have had half the season to develop, these rookies seem to have developed through the quality coaching that Weaver has shown since being here, and our young defensive players are contributing, and the defense has improved.
It’s more proof that Weavaer is the real deal.
Happy Thanksgiving folks!
Happy Thanksgiving, Mobsters!

Thanks for the Rakim post. Man I miss the 90s scene.

My pleasure, and me too.
Weaver may be the real deal, but if we keep Mike McDaniel as HC, you can basically kiss Weaver buh-bye
Probably buh-bye either way unless we hire him to replace MM.
^
Bookman – Absolutely correct! I’m not convinced on him right now to be honest. I’d rather have Gruden here and a legit GM than Weaver and Champ Kelly, that’s an easy choice for me
I agree…
Mike E, Chucky is overrated, IMO. He quite literally inherited Tony Dungy’s Tampa team and they won the Super Bowl in year 1 of Chucky.
Aside from inheriting Dungy’s team in year 1? He made the playoffs only twice in six years, losing each time in the opening round (sounds like us).
Chucky’s career (117-112) = .511 winning %
Capri McD’s career (32-30) = .516 winning %
The game and the rules have changed so very much since Chucky’s glory days (which, again, should be attributed to Tony Dungy).
Plus, you and I BOTH KNOW that Steve Ross isn’t going to bring in a guy who made ‘homophobic’ comments in emails (which became public)… which is why Chucky resigned after week 5 in 2021: Ross is ALL ABOUT image and political correctness.

I LIKE Chucky and his attitude… which is something we sorely lack. But to be honest, I think the new game and rules have passed him by… not to mention the game had already passed him by back in 2020-21.
I agree 100%
M – He’s also 9-5 in the playoffs. That’s exactly 9 more wins than we’ve head here in the last 25 + years. Am I wrong? Also, you’re saying he won the SB with Tony Dungy’s team but give him no credit for taking an 8-8 team to 12-4 in Oakland. I think he knows how to run a team, understands the NFL, he’s still right on top of NFL trends. We’ll just have to disagree on this one. I think we if we go with Weaver we once again have a HC that has no idea how to run the entire team.
You bring an excellent argument to the table, Bro.
But do you REALLY think Steve Ross will hire him? I mean, if I’M Steve Ross, I’m staying as far away from controversy as humanly possible… after everything that has transpired under his tenure as owner.
HEADLINE: Miami Dolphins’ owner Stephen Ross hires racist, homophobic head coach.
Man, Steve Ross ain’t touching Chucky.
Wasnβt the Raider team Gruden faced in the SB the team he had coached? I would take Gruden in a heartbeat.
Yes, Bookman, it was.
Over 2 decades ago. Plus, Gruden knew all of the weaknesses of his former team.
Happy thxgiving all. Thankful I found Curt’s website through the Internet which led me to the SS which in turn led eventually to here. Thankful to have a great group to vent to and somewhere to do it, and last but not least to Mike who busts his tail keeping this place fresh and us informed.
cheers π»
Right back at ya, UK! Much respect to ya, and wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving as well.
I, too, am very thankful for Mike E keeping this place going. He’s the MVP of The Mob!
M – To answer the Ross part of your query, I’m more inclined to think that whatever Ross decides to do will be the wrong move. It’s most likely going to be the lazy choice, which is keep Champ Kelly and MM for Tua next season which I think is a farce. People continue to say how well they work together. This team is scoring 20 points per game in year 6 and Tua has just 4 more TD’s than INT’s not including his 6 fumbles (not sure how many he lost). Could a new HC possibly do worse than this? Hard to imagine that, right?
I think Tua lost 3 of 6 fumbles, if I recall correctly.
And YES… I’m also inclined to think Ross will ultimately make the wrong move.
I’m done with Capri McD and Tua, just as you are, Bro!
Thanks Krishna, UK and M! Happiest Thanksgiving to all!
M – Lost 3 of 6? That puts him in Jameis Winston territory, except Winston had 33 TD’s, (Tua’s never had 30 TD’s) and 30 INT’s. That Bucs team was pretty darn solid, and that’s why Brady went there the next season because there was a very foundation there already. Of course Brady also brought Gronk, AB and a couple of others to the already strong roster.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving!! π¦β€οΈ π½ ππ
I don’t want Gruden here. He’s past his prime for me. I think if we nail the GM, everything else falls into place. The roster has been a half measure for the last several decades. It’ll still be a hard road for a SB win though. Look at how many talented teams fail every year.
Do you want a first time Head Coach? Are you confident that if we get the right GM, the GM will be able to identify the right HC? I don’t really have a problem with that at all. I also believe the GM is the most important hire.
I’m torn on both Gruden and Weaver
Gruden surely has his faults, he also knows QBs and O, with him as HC and Weaver as DC things could work
Weaver is like Cambell in tough guy ways, but does have the technical side Cambell seems to lack
Weaver also seems to be like Vance Joseph, DC to HC using someone else’s philosophy, but Weaver is tough guy smooth, while Joseph comes across as dufus like Grier
What I do like about Weaver is he actually made adjustments as the season went along
You could say MM made adjustments as well, but hasn’t made many or enough
In the end who knows which guys will work out, its above my pay grade and I don’t have enough info, as an armchair…I say what I see with the info I have
Some good games yesterday for turkey day. Chiefs losing was icing on the cake for me. I was surprised at the Bengals winning big on the road vs the Ravens. Though, that Ravens loss kept the door open for the Chiefs.
Bengals winning helps us should we win out, it also shows how hard it is to continue winning each week
Bengals came up with a great game plan, seemed a l I t like our game plan vs Bills
a lot like
first thing I’ve heard from Brian Miller, that makes sense
McDaniel, after four years, is still making mistakes that he has yet to learn from, but now he gets irate when his players don’t learn from theirs
Douglie asks, are the Fins in for a trap game?
I thought only good teams had trap games
Trap for what, looking ahead to jets
