He was probably told by other players Omar says a lot of stupid stuff. LOL

Omar Kelly was arguing w/ other media members in the Dolphins media room saying the current WR core is worse than last year😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He really needs to stop with the talent evaluation business because he’s not good at it. Report the news and stop playing GM.

  2. D's avatar D says:

Sorry but one decent performace against div 1 players at Senior Bowl does not show he is NFL ready. If we plan on starting that kid at OG next year, im also going to just plan to hear the bitching you same guys will throw his way when its not panning out well.

Stills might be better than Wallace in time. He’s considered a better route runner, not as fast, but still fast.

  8. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

D – Al said it very well. The question most people have about Div III players is the level of competition they played against. He was dominant against his competition didn’t allow a sack all year. At the Senior Bowl, against some of the best college players, he showed he belongs. I think that answers the question that he’s on the same level as the better players. No, you can’t project everything just from one week, but when you take into consideration the entire picture, he’s a very talented prospect. Whether he’s ready or not, none of us know, but you can say that about Cameron Erving, La’el Collins, DJ Humphries and Jake Fisher too.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He’s very talented with upside but just like all rookies they didn’t go up against seasoned NFL vets in the Senior Bowl so there’s another learning curve.

  9. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

LMAO @ Al and Kevin White!

  10. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

  11. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Tim

I agree. No college player has gone up against seasoned vets. My point is, he’s on the same level as any other OL prospect in this draft.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Agreed, but he may not be ready right away to start. I hope whoever we draft is ready to start but it doesn’t always work out that way.

  12. Al in MIA's avatar Al in MIA says:

    Mike E,
I agree with you. You can only be judged by what you do when you are faced with whatever situation. When people arrive at the Senior Bowl, everyone is on the same platform. When people show up and compete everyone takes notice. I really don’t care where Marpet played; all I know is that he showed up at a high level platform and performed. Moreover, he displayed some of the best numbers in speed/agility tests of anyone at his position.

  13. Dloxahatchee's avatar dcoralsprings says:

    Tim
Yes we have known Phillip since he was a baby
His grandmother (who basically raised him) worked
In wife’s department for many years
Have watched him get better and better
    Since pee wee ball lol
He went to the same high school as my daughter
    St Thomas the football factory
He really stood out there. Same years as Chris carters kid
Again we are very happy for him and his family
    Hard work does pay off

  14. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Taking one of the guards in the 2nd rd reminds me of Ace Ventura – Finkle and Einhorn, Einhorn and Finkel.

Fisher or Marpet, Marpet or Fisher.

It’s all in a hard days work !!!

  16. New Age's avatar New Age says:

I agree with D. There isnt a single prospect in this draft that could handle the DLs we will be facing. Most teams will have massive issues against them so I’m not as worried about getting a OG unless he’s a steal(Fisher). I’d rather trade back if available unless we get another steal like Parker. A lot of talent is very comparable at this point. beyond a few players Piggy has already mentioned.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

The only steals I see at this point that fit would be Fisher, Kendricks, or Collins.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I don’t know why so many people are eager to reach for OL help

      Yes we need OL help
but grasping for one doesn;t help much

Fisher is worth the pick where we are at
Clemmings is too but I don;t know that he can play OG
So I think Fisher is the guy we hope will drop

but if not, we should take BPA
What if Kendricks drops to us!

  17. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

OMG, the Ali Marpet love is sickening…please seek help….lol

  18. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Piggy

It doesn’t matter what we think, and all the mocks you see are far from perfect, Stephone Anthony was the first 4-3 LB off the baord, and S Landon Collins is still waiting to hear his name. Just like last year when we took Ja’Wuan James a RD ahead of where most people thought he should be taken, maybe some team (maybe us) has Marpet rated as a 2nd RD prospect.

  19. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Is Fisher projected as a guard…or is he an OT prospect? I’m kinda confused as to why some of you folks wanna draft him and where you think he’ll play.

  20. Randy's avatar Randy says:

And I’m not sure why people wanna compare Stills to Wallace. The only comparison is they’re both fast. Otherwise, Wallace has a much more proven record than Stills. There is no comparison of their production on the field. Wallace wins hands down. It’s really an unfair comparison to Stills as he’s only played two seasons.

  21. Al in MIA's avatar Al in MIA says:

At this point the lighter OG type like Marpet who ran fast shuttle/3-cone times (ZBS requirements).
    Mizzou – Mitch Morse
    WVU – Mark Glowinski
    TAMU – Jarvis Harrison

Other OG discussed around here …
    I think GDP like’s Parker’s teammate -> John Miller

THe beefier OG who can move decently…
Utah – Jeremiah Poutasi (10+ lbs heavier than Laken and put up a better 3-cone time)
WVU – Quinton Spain (330 lbs and faster 3-cone & shuttle time than Laken/Poutasi)
Fresno State’s Cody Wichmann is at 320 lbs and put up fast times in speed categories.

  22. Al in MIA's avatar Al in MIA says:

LOL @ Clemmings. Nothing like praising a guy who got his ass handed to him at the Senior Bowl while Marpet walked in and sized up the same people.

  23. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Piggy, none of us here are reaching because we’re not doing the picking. We’re talking about prospects the team might be interested in. They’ll take them where they have them ranked.

Randy, we met with Fisher and it was said we were interested in him as a guard.

  24. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Thanks guys. I guess I saw Fisher as a pure tackle. I didn’t know scouts saw him as a guard.

not sure it matters, word is in tampa that the bucs are taking him. oh yeah and shut up about tanny already will ya

  26. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Tim,
I think 10 TDs will be very hard to replace, but I don’t mind replacing Wallace with a younger version and see how he grows and develops with this offense. I never wanted Wallace to begin with! Lol

      WOW!

      I like confidence
but try not to insult every other draft pick in ghe process of bosting

  28. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Randy

I gotta call you out on that statement about Wallace v Stills

Albeit I don;t like the comparison either
The reason why is because wallace is purely a speed guy and Still is a little more diverse but not as fast

Citing the difference in production between a 6 year vet and a 2 year vet as a basis of one guy winning hand downs is a little absurd
Of course wallace has been more productive than Stills, he has played 4 more years

But the difference between their stats in stills only two years is pretty marginal. In fact they have eerily similar stats in 2013

    Here is a quiz:
In 2013 who had more receiving yards wallace or Stills?
The answer is “who cares”: one had 931 and the other had 930 yards

I brace myself for the its Tanny’s fault argument that should follow….lol

the benefit of going from wallace to stills is not paying 20M for a downfield threat

we effectively replaced Wallace with Still, I don;t know how you can argue otherwise

Stills probably has a more diverse skill set too

  29. Randy's avatar Randy says:

What about Donovan Smith from Penn State as a guard prospect? He may not cost you a second round pick, but he may not be there in the fourth.

  30. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Tim and Mike

I think, in terms of Marpet, you have to consider that he is a small school prospect and has not played against a high level of competition

and that matters when you are picking a high pick

I graps we are not doing the picking
I’m just suggesting we don’t take a guy who came from a school that sounds like a castle in a Harry Potter movie with our next pick
    that’s a bit too early

  31. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Piggy,
It’s okay…call me out. I just think it’s kinda ridiculous to compare a third year player to a Guy going into his seventh. Wallace has scored as many or more TDs in 4 of his 6 seasons than Stills has scored his whole career. I just don’t think you can compare players with such a difference in their time in the league…but fans like to do it! Lol

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

      in production you cannot

But in the skillset of what they bring to the team – you can do that

If we want to bring speed in, Stills is a better option for us than wallace
wallace was and has always been a one trick pony

I would not worry about replacing wallace’s 10 TDs
we brought in a bigger TE in Cameron to be a redzone threat
and now drafted Parker who is also a heck of a redzone threat

so then as a unit – where do we find our speed. The answer is in stills

      Its 3 guys
but as unit, our weapons are much better than it was with Wallace, Hartline, Gibson

  32. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Randy, I don’t think Wallace’s 10 TDs will be hard to replace at all. All but one were inside the red zone less than 20 yards and a few under 10 yards. He had one TD over 20 yards with a 32 yarder. We’ll just target different receivers this year and the TDs may get more spread out but I don’t think his 10 TDs is as glaring a void as people make it out to be.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

An example is instead of –
      Wallace 10
      Landry 5
      Clay 3
      Hartline 2
      Sims 2
      Matthews 2
      Gibson 1
      Miller 1
      Williams 1
      27

      You get –
      Landry 8
      Stills 5
      Jennings 4
      Cameron 4
      Parker 3
      Sims 2
      Matthews 1
      Lynch 1
      Miller 1
      Williams 1
      30 🙂

  33. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Al, I believe Jarvis Harrison had the top 3 cone at combine. I think it was 7.5. He’s played LG & LT, mostly LG. Former basketball guy, has good feet. Benton should be able to coach him up. He’d be a steal in the 4th if still there.

  34. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Mike

the senior bowl is one game + the practices

That doesn’t make a guy a 2nd round pick when the level of competition he regularly faced was so weak (relative to the NFL)

I don;t think any GM would call Marpet a guy you can plug in a play
I would not call him a project
but I think round 2 is just too early

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

OK, so that’s like saying Rocky can’t beat Apollo Creed. Did you watch the fucking movie! lol

He dominated the competition in Div III, but in all the drlls, practices and game of the Senior Bowl, he was great. That means he’s as good as any of those players. Not sure why you don’t see it that way, but it’s cool. We’ll see where he goes, and how he does.

  35. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Piggy,
Smith is one of the tackles I looked at as guard prospects. He’s got good size…a little tall for a guard…but probably needs to drop 10-15 pounds to be most effective. That would put him around 315-20. He’s got decent movement skills and stands out in run blocking. He’s got a little work to bring up his pass pro, but most rookies do. He’s an experienced kid who’s had good coaching. He held his own at the senior bowl.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

I’ve read some good things about him. Would definitely be in my trade down mix of solid 2nd rounders.

  36. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Last year Hickey went SEC in first 2 rounds. Doubt he goes small school until later in draft.

  37. New Age's avatar New Age says:

I have to agree with Randy which makes Omar’s comparison all the more ridiculous. Wallace was a constant thorn in the QB’s side and cost a lot of money but was undeniably talented. They save money, send a message and add a player that has some similar skills. It’s a win for the coaching staff if they replace his TD production in one or more ways. Parker and Stills should be able to do that quite well. It’s a win as long as Tanny produces and that’s all that matters.

  38. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I was just looking at CBS rankings

26 of their top 32 guys are off the board

and that includes La”el Collins and Randy Gregory who have recently dipped for other reasons

That is a high success rate

I think you guys are taking the concept of the rankings meaning nothing way too far
More often than not, the rankings hold up

Ali Marpet is the 68th best prospect on their board
That pretty much pegs him in the late 2nd and early 3rd round range

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

I agree. While later round guys can find success just as easily, talent is talent and you want to pick the more talented guy if there are no red flags. Is Marpet talented? Yes, definitely. Are there more overall talented guys? I would have to say yes. Marpet is great in a late 2nd trade down for me. I really dont like him at 47 especially if a guy like Kendricks or Collins is still there.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

That is my thinking as well

reach has become a dirty word around here

but there was a lot of reaching last night for OL
        now the prospects are sparse

If you are the last one to the cookie jar and you have a choice between cookie crumbs and a piece of chocolate cake next to the jar

        eat the fucking cake!

      • New Age's avatar New Age says:

        Yummm, cake !!

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yes it is a good success rate but the 1st round isn’t that difficult. Then there picks like Flowers, Anthony, Dorsett etc. Not everyone sees a prospect the same way or the right fit for their team, and some teams like a prospect that Rob Rang says isn’t as good as another guy. So it’s not an exact science.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

        dorsett was 32 on CBS
        Flowers was in the teens
So they are top 32 guys

        Anthony was 72
So that is the only one that really deviates from the rankings

        Our next pick is 47
and Marpet is ranked about 20 slots lower

I don;t mind the pick so much after a trade down
But I don’t get coveting Marpet
that is just acting out of desperation for OL IMO

  39. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I don’t know…maybe you guys are right, but I don’t think it’s that easy to replace 10 TDs(almost half of tanny’s TDs when the games actually mattered). I know Wallace was a shmuck, but I think folks are devaluing what he did last year because of his shitty attitude.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

the 10 TDs are the easiest thing to replace
the speed is a little tougher
but you don;t need to have the fastest guy
you just need speed and Stills does that

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

His speed wasn’t much of a factor for us and Stills is a sub 4.4 guy, Parker 4.45 and Cameron runs in the 4.5s. We have plenty of speed.

  40. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    randy,

what are you in the bucs draft room? those are the two players the bucs are supposedly going to take with their next pics. well either one of the two. not like they can take two players with one pick, we all know only the pats can do that

  41. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Mark Glowinski is interesting too, he was Tops in bench press & broad jump.

  42. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    for,
Really? I wish I was in Tampa Bay. It’s funny because the Vikings chatter around here for months has been almost exactly the same as the dolphin stuff. Trae Waynes, Devante Parker(WR), an OL or LB. very similar conversations.

  43. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Daryl Willimas is also interesting, the big Oklahoma OT/OG….I’d like to see what Benton could do with him should he still be on the board in 5th round.

  44. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Do you guys remember 2012
    The Colts took Luck
    we took Tanny
we did well IMO even though we did not get Luck

but later in the draft we took needed a TE and an OT
    The Colts took Fleener
    We took Martin
Martin was a good pick at the time even though he ended up being a disaster

but we still need that TE
    the Colts take Dwayne Allen
and we end up with egg on our face

I think this year La’el Collins hurt the OL pool
teams were reaching for OL big time last night
I don;t want to do that
    I acknowledge we need OL
but we do need other positions too
    Lets go BPA
Put your trotters together and prey for Fisher to fall b/c after that you might be reaching for OL

  45. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’m gonna throw this out there, my guess is we’ll draft a guy at #47 that we have ranked there. LOL

  46. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Tim

I think we are fine with speed too
My point is that the 10 TDs stats is being overstated

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I totally agree. Karim Abdul-Jabbar had 15 and 11 rushing TDs for us but let’s not act like we’re talking about Walter Peyton here. LOL

  47. drg's avatar drg says:

While I believe our receiving corps may be better off than the last couple years, keep in mind we have replaced 4 out of the 5 “starters”. Will some or all of them struggle to learn the offense? Chemistry with Tannehill? How long does it take the OL to settle in and buy enough time for Tannehill to work second level targets?

Also keep in mind there’s a good chance Philbin and co. are fired if we win 7 or less games this year. That’s a new system/scheme that may prove to be a poor fit for some of the guys we’ve brought in.

Hopefully our defense comes out hot and keeps us in some games until the offense is ready to catch up.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We specifically brought in better system fits because the guys we already had really weren’t. Philbin specifically said Stills ran routes that Tannehill throws well.

      • drg's avatar drg says:

I get that, but it doesn’t mean they all hit the ground running. Maybe it happens, but usually there is a transition period and this is(should be) a make or break season for Philbin.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

part of the benefit of the BPA is the chance that there may be a system change

I really think Parker was the BPA when we picked him
I also think we can afford to be patient with Parker
and we can rely on Landry and Miller early while the others get acclimated to the new system

The OL is the big question mark despite eveything I’ve said until now – it obviously needs work

  48. drg's avatar drg says:

    Randy,

Agreed that 10 TDs is a lot to replace. I did feel that much of Wallace’s production came because of the scheme rather than his unique talents though, so hopefully the overall talent increase at WR/TE makes up for the loss. I think it will as soon as they develop some chemistry and the new guys get comfortable with the offense/Tannehill.

  49. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Piggy,
Wallace has averaged about 8 TDs a season….and that doesn’t include his 12 rushing TDs! Find another receiver on this 2015 team who even has PROVEN they can do that…maybe Jennings. I don’t think TDs can be overstated when they’re really all that matters when it comes to wins and losses.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

Randy, Wallace has zero rushing TDs but 47 is quite a bit receiving.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

      It is overstated
Some one else would have likely had those TDs if they were on the field instead

Cameron had 7 in one season,

Jennings had 12 twice in his career and 9 two more times – after catching 12 TD in 08 and 9 in 08 – Jennings had 4 TDs in 2009, then had 12 again in 2010. because the fact that he caught 4 in 2009 didn;t really make him any less of a threat to score

      TDs each year always fluctuate

The irreplaceable Wallace highlights your overstatement because he had 10 in 2014 and 5 in 2013 had. And its impossible for only one of those years to be Tanny’s fault….lol

      Your are completely overstating it
We probably won;t get 1 guy with 10 TDS next season
but that doesn’t make it less likely we score more points without wallace
which is in reality the difference between winning and losing games – not 1 guy’s stats, and I don;t have to explain this to you b/c you already know that one guys stats do not make or break a team.

Your argument is a shining example of an overstatement Randy.

Hopefully you don;t mind my argumentative post. Its not meant to be hostile. I’m just being frank with you.

The last thing you should be concerned about in terms of Wallace leaving is his 10 TDs
Some one else will get those 10 TDs instead. It is that simple

  50. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Another point is that Wallace and Tannehill combined for 10 TDs with little chemistry and Wallace not working with Tannehill in the off-season. There is no reason to assume that talented players that have produced in their venues would suddenly lose the ability to produce especially with so many options. Landry, Jennings, and Cameron can pick up the early slack if needed as can Sims.

  51. Randy's avatar Randy says:

You guys are assuming a lot. Lol

    I hope you’re right….back to work.

  52. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Good things happen behind this door now! 😀

  53. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

drg, Lazor said the offense he installed was to play to player’s strengths. I’m sure we’re going to use Cameron differently than Clay etc. The issue with our WRs last year was they didn’t do enough YAC so hopefully that changes this year and both Cameron and Parker give us better red zone threats.

  54. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

47 TDs over 6 seasons is 7.8 per year which is solid but nothing to get crazy about.

  55. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

All we can really do this time of year is project until we see some games with our new team because it is quite different than last year’s team and we’re not done.

  56. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

The order is fucked up. Gigi and Piggy remain at the bottom after I posted later comments.

  57. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I would like to see us add another young TE (although I like Lynch and Sims)
Also, like everyone else has said, we need to shore up that interior OL

The our offense is complete IMO and we are ready to score 30+ a game
    Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  58. Jahndoh30's avatar jahndoh says:

DRG, your second paragraph (about a potential firing and possible scheme fit issues with a potential new staff) has little place in the analysis IMHO. You draft for the staff you have in place, always. You never draft for a potential future staff, so it really is just irrelevant.

I also don’t worry about the chemistry all that much. We know he has it with Landry, and he never really had it with Wallace. Replacing Wallace with a younger guy who might actually listen to Tannehill and do what he says is a positive thing. All those guys were the first year in that system last year too, so chemistry this year is no more a concern than it was last year.

Sims calling out the departed WRs for not taking things seriously and not being professional says a lot.

Jahn, you can find his finsiders interview from this week. It was subtle being Sims is soft spoken, but it was unprompted. Last night OJ sad last years receivers room was a mess.

    Greg Jennings is funny:

    @GregJennings: Miami, what’s up? https://t.co/85V265cx82 http://t.co/RyILOQFbUG

  60. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Hmmm, interesting. He’s the bowling ball MJD type that I wanted. 24yo 5’9′ 224, rushed for 7 TD’s & 1 receiving TD in 2013. Offer Jordan for him, what the heck.

Appearing on NFL Draft Kickoff, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the Rams would be “more than happy” to honor Zac Stacy’s trade request.

  61. Jahndoh30's avatar jahndoh says:

Jennings was the main reciever last year for a fairly challenged passing offense in Minnesota. Patterson was so bad he eventually lost his starting job, so secondaries just keyed in on taking away Jennings and shifted their focus elsewhere.

Teams will not be able to do this to him this year. He’s the FOURTH best Wideout (arguably) on the team in this case, and no secondary has the luxury of rolling coverage to him when he’s on the field. Their are too many weapons. He’s going to feast this year. (that’s my bold prediction).

    • D's avatar D says:

I think its going to be a nice spreading of love, because they wont be able to cover everyone. Our plays should actually run as designed as we will be getting lots of single coverages due to all the receiving weapons.

  62. D's avatar D says:

If we get a TE id like to see us take Sifrin or Saxton.

I mentioned the same thing about the system, that if we don’t win this year, this system will be history, and we’ll have a brand new one. That being said, you have to bring in players that fit what you’re currently doing, just the way it is. I wasn’t happy jettisoning Wallace, but I think it was necessary. Wallace and Tannehill had zero chemistry, so I’m not concerned about that. Landry and Tannehill were on the same page last year, so no reason to think Parker and Stills can’t be too if they work on it.

  65. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

    (shhhh pulled po#k)

Piggy doesn’t mind pulled pork. I actually enjoys it. He just doesn’t like it cooked……..

  66. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Tanny could be one of the top fantasy QB’s this year, he was top 10 last year, now look at the weapons, and we’re still drafting about 5 more players….lol

  67. D's avatar D says:

Not sure why people worry about what a player did individually….. what did he do for the team should be whats asked. 10 TD was done for himself, it was evident in the way he acted towards things when he didnt get them. Whats to say that if we werent always trying to keep Mike happy that his 10 TD split among other receivers might have actually be 12, maybe if we werent coddling him just to keep him initiated we could have had more.

I firmly belive had we lost Wallace early in the year we would have had similar production out of others. Hartlines numbers would have been a little better, Landry’s, Matthews would have likely been LOTS better and in general i think we still get those production numbers just spread out over more players, THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE. If you have many players with similar numbers its harder to defend you because you dont have a go-to…they are all go-to….

  68. drg's avatar drg says:

    Jahn,

I think our offense will be better for a lot of reasons, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see a slow start. They should pick up steam as the season goes on. Even though we have a lot of road games, the schedule is definitely lighter for the first half so that helps too.

Only reason I bring up the coaching situation is that there will no doubt be a lot of turnover if a new staff comes aboard and it will also mean new scheme/strategy. I suppose TanneHickey will probably stick around so maybe the roster turnover is kept at a minimum and they also look for a coach with similar offensive philosophies.

Who knows, I hope it’s not an issue and we finally make the playoffs this year. Painful watching NFLN put up the stats saying we haven’t made the playoffs since 2008 and haven’t won a playoff game since 2000. Fifteen freaking years…

  69. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Should be a fun 4 WR set with Miller as RB

Landry will have 1000 yards recieving
Stills will have 800 yards receiving
    Parker will have 800 yards
    and Jennings will have 700

Miller will chip in with 400 yards

    Cameron will have 500 Yards
and our 2nd TE will have 300 yards

and all of them will get 10 TDs each

Which means Tanny will throw for 4500 yards and 70 TDs…lol

    • Jahndoh30's avatar jahndoh says:

I think the yardage is actually realistic. The TDs well, maybe cut that number in half?

      • D's avatar D says:

He was fucking around with the TD numbers lol… but i agree the yardage numbers could easily be accurate, maybe skewed a little more for one and a little less for another but plausible.

  70. getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Pig, not all weapons, we’ll use some of the remaining picks on Def & OL…lol

  71. drg's avatar drg says:

    Mike,

I’m with you on Wallace. Never wanted him for the price and didn’t consider him an elite WR. He’s very good though and his production will need to be replaced from one or multiple guys. I think Lazor’s offense is set up to handle that. Our big weakness was pass protection/Tannehill pocket presence, red zone and short yardage situations. Losing Wallace doesn’t hurt any of those problems other than finding a way to replace the 10 TDs. Hope Cameron and Parker improve our red zone passing game. Hope we get the OL in better shape to improve the power run game. There are a bunch of good RBs in this draft. I imagine we will pick one up that fits our need.

  72. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    LOL @ Piggy 70 TD’s

  73. D's avatar D says:

Our biggest thing was getting better from the 10 yard line. I dont know how many times we had 1st and goal from the 10 and i got so nervous every time, because it seemed like that was our Achilles heel. 10-20 yards out we were still fairly successful but fuck it if we got right at the 10 yard line.

3rd down, and especially short yardage have been a problem for some time. To me, that’s mostly on the O-line.

    • D's avatar D says:

I think it was also a bit on the play calling. Some of the short yardage calls were completely shit, and other times it was poor execution.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

True that! Drove me crazy! Hopefully, if we have a better O-line, they’ll be more confident in just lining up and moving people off the ball.

    Jahn,
Another thing on Jennings regarding his 2014 stats, he caught 4 of his 6 season TD over the last 6 games of the season. His yards per reception over the last 4 games were all over 10 and 14 yds or greater in the last 3 games (including a season high 18 per rec vs Miami).

  89. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:
