I knew the blowout that most predicted was never going to happen but still wasnt even close with 24-19

You can’t let the result of 1 game especially the first game be the weathervane for the rest of the year. I agree if we play like this against the better teams we will lose but I believe we are not likely to play this flat on a regular basis. Let’s just be happy that we played flat and still won
MY REACTION:
1)Jarvis Landry was the difference in this game. HE’S the player who came up BIG!
2) Alfred Morris–121 yards rushing– ‘Nuff said!!
3) Miami unfocussed and poorly prepared in the first half. We were TOTALLY outplayed by an inferior team that lost its best wide receiver. Philbin’s coaching decisions regarding 4th down didn’t exactly wow me. TWO yards rushing at halftime by Miami. INEXCUSABLE!!!
4)SUH a non-factor for most of the game
5)Rookie-led kicking game DID WOW ME!! Our new punter averaged about 55 yards on 4 punts.
6)Running game finally came alive in the 4th quarter. Better late than never.
7) O-Line looked AWFUL when Brandon Albert had to go out. Tanny was sacked, then had a pass batted down. The “Everything’s gonna be OK with the O-Line” lovefest took a real hit.
8)DO YOU FOLKS think Miami would have beaten New England or Buffalo or Kansas City or Denver or Baltimore today?? MIAMI IS NOT a playoff team right now. That’s the truth.

I like the idea of going for it but considering we weren’t exactly clicking on offense not a good call. Based on how they had been playing at that point probably should have kicked it.

who is letting the first game do anything. i was saying all along dont care how they start but how they finish the season. but with that said, the first game is all we have to go by now. and that doesnt look good. it is easy just to say it was the first game and forget it. but that isnt reality. they still look like a team with a lot of problems.

Wyoming, I’m glad Bazooka Joe went for it on 4th down early in the game down 0-3. But what I didn’t like was the friggin play called there running from the shotgun.
In fact, I was yelling at the tv the whole game about needing Tanny under center more often….Shotgun every friggin play!!! smh

I have 2 concerns for the game today, Lamike fumbling on STs and the speed of the ‘Skins WRs. Maybe LaMike fumbling is a good thing, in an easy game we should win no matter what, maybe it takes him off of the team. Have I mentioned yet how much I dislike him 😉

As much as we all predicted scores of 30+ points and blow outs….I did know that opening week, especially on the road is a tall order to win.
Phins D did their job, hung in there, kept score manageable until we could finally get a lead….it’s what teams use to do to us in the past.
