Next week is a new game, and it will likely determine the course the rest of our season will take. Most teams don’t come back for a 1-3 start, even good teams, which we are the furthest thing from right now. We lose this Sunday and we don’t make the playoffs, simple as that. There is no way this team is capable of finishing out 9-3, which is what it will take to make the playoffs as a wildcard. NE will wiln the division, so we will again be fighting for that WC spot.

IN THE INFAMOUS WORDS OF JIM MORA, – – – “Playoffs??, Playoffs? –Did somebody say playoffs??? – – – We may not win another game, and you’re saying playoffs?”
      ————–
DON’T KNOW if you read my comments late last night when I returned to Tampa Bay from Miami, but in the 49 years I’ve gone to Dolphins’ games, this was the FIRST TIME I ever left at the end of the 1st quarter!! –This team played worse, and LOOKED WORSE, than at any time in their history since 1966 with the exception of the 62-7 drubbing in Dan’s last game vs. Jacksonville. –And speaking of Jacksonville, that very same Jaguars team that beat Philbin’s Fins last Sunday gave up 51 points to the Pats yesterday!!! –Baseball has “Shoeless Joe,” and the Dolphins have “Clueless Joe!” –But I’m SURE we’ll all feel better a week from now because Miami’s FAVORED by 1 point in London over Todd Bowles’ Jets. Look for another ex-Dolphin to “get even” with Miami!
      ———-
The last four years the Bills are 5-2 against Miami and 18-26 vs. the rest of the NFL. –Time for Ross to fire Philbin. But, he won’t, not just yet.

    Man we suck something awful

The whole team was as flat as I can remember ever watching

Coyle has got to go, now
That D is just a mess
I mean how HOW do you turn freakin Suh
    Into a pedestrian lineman ?

    Sherman / lazor – lazor / Sherman
Is there really a difference ?

Sure do love the Phins but this season could get painful

  5. New Age's avatar New Age says:

I agree that Suh is not the problem. He has 2-3 guys on him usually. The problem is a DC who has made this defense worse yearly until he finally accomplished a goal. The worst D in football(slight exaggeration). Tannehill has a limited skillset and so Laxor does nothing at all to benefit him. I really think Tanny ,may be broken after this year. He has never played behind a decent OL. He probably would not know how to function without the constant pressure.

This team does nothing well. My only consolation is that Philbin will probably be the HC at Portmouth High next year(or something) and these coordinators will never hold their jobs again at this level. I have to agree with OD though. I don’t think we will hire a good HC because Ross will never give them what they want. Control over their program.

  6. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Oh and Bills OC who likes to run a lot? 5 straight passes to start the massacre. Lazor? Same old crap. Four straight passes on the 2 yard line? Who does that anywhere else? Not even in GB, Indy, Denver, or the 90s Dolphins. It’s just stupid. Who expects anything different in the Massacre in London?

    Howie, 21-20 Jets.

I see everyone playing tentative because they have to be so fucking right on everything they do so they don’t get lambasted in the film room, they play without emotion or instinct. Joe sucks it out of them.

The coaching merry-go-round continues to spin in Miami. When will fans learn that it’s about the players? Average talent….average team. You only go as far as your leaders on the field can take you. If they’re average…well…you know by now.

  15. uwantwat's avatar uwantwat says:

Haven’t watched the game yet but the scores told me all I need to know. Mike told me we wouldn’t sack any coaches until the end of the season in “Ask Mike”. My response to that is this. Coyle MUST be fired today. When you have that much talent in your D, things MUST happened, plays MUST be executed properly, schemes MUST be put in place which allow the talent to shine through. What we get is total crap served up to our players. Playing 10 yards of the WRs is stupid.I am so mad it is hurting. Something has to be done pronto. I pay top dollar to get Game Pass and to date I haven’t even had the remotest desire to watch this game. Rex Ryan may have a foot fetish but he can coach the panys of quesy Joe and his 2 suckups. Randy, good to see you pal. I think we are thin in some spots but overall talent is good. You don’t think coaching is part of the problem?
What I mean is poor game planning, an instilled fear of the repercussions of “going off script” to make plays, bad breakdowns of opponents, and an inability to unite the players.

  19. drg's avatar drg says:

What’s up, Randy? Hope life is treating you well.

I think that a great coaching staff/FO can make a bigger difference in football than any other sport, but yeah, it ultimately comes down to the players. We are lacking in several areas and when they play uninspired football that’s the result you get.

Capped out, big money vets not contributing enough, porous OL, bad chemistry, little effort, and clueless coaching staff. Afraid we are in blow it up territory. Sounds familiar.

Philbin “the loser” should have the decency and quit this week. Nice game plan asshole.

  22. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Hey son!
Of course, coaching can always be part of the problem, and I’m not absolving them. Personally, I disagree with Lazor’s offensive philosophy, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work if the players do their job. But, what I’ve seen is a lack of execution by players. Missed assignments, missed tackles, just flat out bone headed plays and getting out played physically. I can’t think of a single player or unit that is playing good on this team over the first three games.

Professionals should never need a coach to get them fired up to play. If you don’t have that fire inside you….go flip burgers…don’t blame the coach.

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

Well sorry that’s not how it works. NFL players aren’t your normal employee. They won’t got flip burgers because they don’t have to. Someone will pay them millions to fuck around. You have to motivate them and put them in a position to succeed or they’ll just earn their paycheck win or lose. What difference does it make to suh if we’re 10-6 or 2-14? nothing. He’ll get paid no matter what.

  23. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

This also from the same article. Its about coaching stupid!

“It just seems that Philbin comes from the viewpoint that players either make plays or they don’t and that coaches aren’t going to make that big a difference as long as they didn’t really bungle the week of preparation or the management of the game.

But much of the NFL comes at it from a different viewpoint and that is a coach should put his players in a position to succeed. And if that coach discovers the player failed when he’s in the position to succeed, he has to take an active role in making that player much better or finding a replacement.”

Piggs, I’m sick of hearing how great Tannehill is going to be. Seems we’re always chasing this sudden reality that will hit. Tyrod started his 3rd game (incidentally he was a son favorite in his draft) and kicked our ass and he’s put up way more points in this three week span than in any 3 game span of Tannehill’s career. Hey the deep ball gets you points!

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

      Tannehill is the golden handcuffs

too much potential and too good to give up on
not good enough to make up for other flaws on this team

Its really a tough situation with him
but in short – I think he is one flaw on a team with many flaws
not a good player in spite of a flawed team, which is what I keep hearing about him

  27. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    drg,
I always put it on the players. If you really look at it, our coaches don’t call a game a whole lot different than other teams in the league. The difference is…do our players make plays? Rarely.

We have average or below average talent at OL, LB, QB, WR and DB. I think the only unit that’s a + unit is our DL…and they aren’t getting it done either. Aikens is terrible. McCain looks like he doesn’t realize he’s playing football. Our LBers might as well not even be on the field. Vernon is average. Wake is…where? Our QB is limited and never seems capable of getting us off to a fast start. No big plays because he can’t make the throws. Fox sucks…knew that last year. Thomas is pissing me off because he should be playing better. Pouncey lets too much pressure up inside.

When you throw 6 yard passes ALL game long…you better be good enough to sustain it. We’re not even close.

  28. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Boulder,
Well, if a player is just doing it for the money then no coach is gonna be able to motivate them. I tend to believe that most of these pros are ultra competitors and have been all their lives more than likely. Maybe I’m just wrong.

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

I just don’t agree that players are professionals and need no coaching or leadership and should just do their job.
Suh didn’t all of a sudden stopped being a good player. The game plan yesterday had something to do with our loss. And the players don’t design the game plan.

Are we really that much worst than the bills talent wise? Or do they have the coaches that create the best game plan to put their players in a position to succeed and win?
The game yesterday seemed like we’re a college team playing an NFL team. Do we have college level talent? Is our talent that bad?

  29. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Piggy,
Hey, thanks for keeping up with the heat on Tannehill! He is what he is…average and limited. I think Lazor’s system is made to generate numbers/stats. That’s why Tanny can put up stats and look “good” and still lose! Lol

Frankly, I blame Tanny more than anyone…coaches included. He just does absolutely nothing to get this team off to the right start. Last year and this year he plays one good half or quarter but rarely a whole game. His protection isn’t any different than most QBs in the league and he has “his” WRs who supposedly fit this system now. I’m tired of the excuses.

  30. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

As soon as I saw the stat hit the screen saying 154 straight passes without a pick I knew we were doomed.
For a little while Tanny had evened out his TD passes on the season with his int’s just where he loves to be .500, but he got a couple of meaningless TD’s to boost his horrible day.

  31. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Boulder,
I didn’t say players don’t no coaching. I just don’t think they should need to be motivated to play their best.
And I also think folks have overrated our talent level…for years.

  32. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Why does Parker only get a handful of snaps?

How come we can’t manage to even throw one ball towards Stills? ( oh nevermind there was that air mail one waaaay late in the game)

Where the hell is Wake? Suh is eating blockers like he’s supposed to.

Where the hell is vernon? Suh is eating blockers like he’s supposed to.

  33. drg's avatar drg says:

    Randy,

Agreed with the personnel issues. Coaching is mostly about what happens off the field and instilling an identity in your players. What’s our identity? Teams that are perennial losers lack any type of leadership or direction. We aren’t getting it from Ross. We’ve been asking who the leaders in the locker room are for years now. Pouncey? Wake? Tannehill? Ugh… Got to start with a coach/GM that will give the team some stability and direction.

I’ve never been too high on Tannehill, but he’s at least good enough to build the team around. That’s about the best I can come up with right now.

  34. TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

If coaches aren’t more accountable to the product on the field, then why do players leave us and end up making positive contributions to other teams? Not always, but often? Oh, and BTW- Hi Randy!

  35. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Chris McCain can’t sniff the field but Sheppard continues to not make plays (or any of the linebackers for that matter)

  36. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Good to see ya Randy. I think Tannehill could be better, but just like Suh is not the problem, either is Tannehill. It’s just that neither of them are the solution. Problems go deeper than that. Our schemes on both sides SUCK! I hate our offense, and our defense is predictable and unimaginative.

  37. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Try,
Hi! I wish I was coming back to a 3-0 start. This is so disappointing, and I figured we were an 8-10 win team to begin with.

    • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

Well, I for one appreciate you fighting the good fight, when you can.
I hear you concerning players play, but I don’t think this particualr coaching staff learns how to maximize a players’ strengths. The still try to put the round peg in the square hole, to the detriment of the team.

  38. drg's avatar drg says:

    Son,

No kidding. That’s what you want from your “leaders”, right? Kick out everyone so you can have your space. Maybe Barry Bonds will loan them his Lazy Boy recliner for the season.

  39. TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

  40. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

I have a redskins fan colleague. He said even though we beat the skins we’re in worst shape than they are and I agree. This team looks to me it’ll be picking top 5 in 2016 draft.

  41. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    drg
Tannehill is good enough to build around if you want an average team. He’s too easy to gamplan against. Play your coverage up tight, bring pressure and make him dump the ball off. He’s very easy to sack because he sucks in the pocket and doesn’t read or anticipate pressure. Then, when he does have time, he can’t make tough throws to put pressure on the defense. Teams don’t even need to defend the whole field against him. If he could hit deeper throws, defenses would need to back off, but he doesn’t do it consistently enough. This puts pressure on everyone on the offense. He can’t even get it close enough to get PI calls! When you need 10-12 play drives to score, screw ups are bound to happen more often than not unless you have a playmaking QB….we don’t.

  42. sb7mvp's avatar sb7mvp says:

I just wanted to take the time out of my work day to come onto a football blog and let you guys know that these players are supposed to be professionals and need to carry themselves as such. I will argue this point as well as others throughout the day.

  43. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    SB

While I agree with you, it’s clear that certain coaches get more out of their talent than others. Belichick, Tomlin, Carroll, the Harbaugh brothers and a couple of others are consistently in or near the playofffs. Do you think thy just have better players, or do they work better with what they’re given?

  44. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Try,
But, haven’t we been saying that about every coach we’ve had for the past decade? Lol. Coaches are always the easiest scapegoat.

Sooner or later, players need to make plays. Coaching matters….players playing good matters more. There are lots of ways to run an offense or defense, and they can all be successful if the players execute. My biggest issue with our coaches is their inability or unwillingness to make proper adjustments as the game goes along. Where’s the max protect? Where’s the A-gap pressure we’ve seen work in the past? Where’s the run blitzes? Where’s the damn commitment to a running game and not leaving your OL out to dry constantly? A draw? A screen pass?

The problem I’ve noticed with the Dolphins since last November is THEY DON’T HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS to the problems. That is on the GM & coach.

  46. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Here we go with the Tannehate. It’s all his fault. He was the reason we have given up over 400 yards for 3 straight games. Guess what guys he is our QB and there is no better answer out there in either the draft or FA.

  47. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

It seems to me we have big deficiencies in several areas on the team which opponents attack with ease (on the GM), we are very vanilla and highly predictable in the way we attack teams offensively and defensively (coaching) and a lot of the players out there give up and have been doing for some years (on players and coaches).
    Belicheat makes 2+2 = 8. Philbin makes 2+2 = 2.

H! I do agree some coaches are better at it than others, but a guy like bellicheat didn’t do it in Cleveland, for example. It’s the QB. I think philbin is a good coach. I just don’t think he’s probably a great fit as a HC. But, sometimes it takes guys a couple head coaching opportunities to figure it out.

  51. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Ken,
I can leave for another couple months if the Tannehill reality…not hate…is just too much for folks. Lol

I haven’t seen him lift his play or the play of others around him. Like it or not…that’s his job. And, there’s no law against him going out and raising his level of play to actually win a game, is there? He’s just as much a part of this disaster as anybody else on the team. When was the last time he was the reason we won a game? When have we ever seen him take over a game and pull the team up wth him? Just because there’s nobody to draft to replace him doesn’t mean he’s above reproach. He needs to play better.

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

you really can’t raise anyone’s play when you’re running for your life the whole game.

    • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

Don’t leave- though I don’t know how much he is responsible for, I agree he is not above reproach nor is he better than a mid-level qb. He does not do things to win games, but I think this staff just wants him to do what he does- dink and dunk. And his deep ball is a joke- it’s nonzexistent and does nothing to make the opposing defense change up their approach.

  52. drg's avatar drg says:

    Randy,

Tannehill isn’t elite, but how many QBs are? He’s perfectly capable of doing what Dalton does in Cincy or Alex Smith in KC. You can be a playoff team with that caliber of play from the QB position. It’s not like elite QBs are easy to find and I don’t have a good alternative.

We need to hit on early draft picks and rebuild the team around him. OL, DB, and LB would be a great start.

Yes, you can win with an average QB. But, you usually do it when another part of your team is dominant. We simply don’t have that. He was paid like an upper echelon player…time to play like one.

And, I thought we already rebuilt the team around him! Lol

  59. drg's avatar drg says:

    Randy,

So trade Tannehill and roll with a Matt Moore/Fitzpatrick/Taylor/McCown at 5-8 million/year instead? That’s not going to solve anything either.

I’m not thrilled with paying him that much either, but it’s the reality of the NFL today. He works his ass off, is a solid guy, and yeah, can play QB better than at least half of the other QBs out there. I’d prefer we get the defense in order and see where that takes us.

We have fielded the one of, if not the worst defense in the league since Week 9 last season. That’s where I start if I had to fix something.

    We almost had La’el Collins
That was the one that got away IMO
And I don’t blame the FO for the way they handled that one

    That was just bad luck
    We didn’t everything we could

  65. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Do you really think we were going to draft La’el if his ex GF wasn’t killed? I don’t think there’s a shot. I think we were taking Parker either way.

Speaking of Stills, that trade looks pretty awful right about now. Next year’s 3rd RD pick gone!

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

I thought that was 2015 3rd round pick. Not next year. Either way we should have gotten Oline help not more receivers.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

It was this year’s 3rd. That trade was mainly to get rid of Ellerbe’s deal and to get a young WR who had proven he can play.

BTW I’m gonna be in Germany next week for work. Can’t wait to watch us get destroyed by the Jets in the right time zone 🙂

  68. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I tend to think the first priority for this team is to bring in a few defensive players around Suh and not the OL

    LBs, another safety and DE
I would be able to spend a whole draft on defense

But it’s so early in the season
I’m not going to talk draft yet

Just saying that the emphasis on OL on this blog sometimes leaves me confused
And I acknowledge that the OL has played poorly
But I do think part of that is scheme and situation

    Anyway it’s sept
I have to see how it plays out over the year

But IMO so far the most underwhelming players have been on defense
Where it appears we lack talent

I know Piggy meant getting Collins as an UDFA, but that’s like locking the stable door after the horses ran away. Too little too late. We had no intentions of really fixing the O-line, and again, they counted heavily on gimpy Albert being the cornerstone of the O-line, which I said a 1000X was a big mistake. I would never have done that.

    • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

Agree- when you have strength somewhere else on your team, he can do what it takes to win a game. But he will not win you the game by his play alone. It’s not who he is, nor should it be expected of him.

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

agreed. The tanny and suh debate is mundane. We’re stuck with those 2 for a while. We need to build an offense and defense around them . They’re not going anywhere.

We have new DL coach. we have a OL that hasn’t practiced Full speed together whole season so far , we have TE that hasn’t played since 1st game, we have DC in booth this year instead of on field with players. Philbin needs him on field. We have Suh pushed to leadership role when he has always been a quite guy that leads by example. Wake has hamstring problem,Albert has knee problem and other injuries. I don’t get how you can have an OC that calls for an extremely low percentage fade (because our QB can’t make that throw) into the endzone time and again, game after game, or a DC that has defensive schemes that call for a DB to play 7 yds off the receiver on a 3rd and 3 and not feel the coaches are having a major impact on this team and are as big a part of the problem as the players could ever be.

I see a team that continually plays reactionary football on both sides of the ball. I see a soft offense that takes what the defense gives them instead of imposing their will and a defense that doesn’t attack but instead reacts to what is happening. That is all coaching and scheme.

One play stood out to me as the mentality of this entire team: A bubble screen by the Bills, we have a defender in place near the sideline, there is a wall of people to the defender’s left, the sideline to the right, the receiver is hemmed in by defenders closing in. The receiver is running right at our defender who is about 3 yds back. The receiver has nowhere to go except at our guy, So what does our defender do? He can’t be beat by a move, all he has to do is make the tackle. Does he attack the receiver? No he stands there and waits for the receiver to get to him, makes the tackle (after being dragged a yard or two). Good play? NO! Instead of no gain on the play, they pick up 4 yards.

It’s a soft mentality that permeates this entire team. A finesse offense, a reacting defense. We do three things totally consistently. We stuff power run formations, we play solid special teams and we play like shit everywhere else.

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

team takes on the coaches mentality. This is what you get when the coaches are soft mentally.

    • ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

I have read that in this D, the DB decides how far off he/she plays off. To be fair to McCain, he tried to play bump and run early and he looked like the player who’d been bumped as he was 5 yards behind the receiver a second later. After that, he left a massive cushion on each play. The disappointing thing for me was that he gave up yards underneath all day but he was also beat deep again. And JT #22 wasn’t much better. But that doesn’t change your main point that we are more or less crap at everything. Which is true. 😦

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Hmm, I’ve haven’t heard that anywhere, but then again I haven’t been reading a lot of articles much this year..but if that IS the case then in my mind it still falls back on coaching because any DB that plays 7-10 yards of the receiver when it’s 3rd and 3 is clearly making the wrong choices and needs to be coached up, yet we see it again and again, game after game.

  90. D's avatar D says:

I still have only little reasons to blame the players, and tons to blame the coaching. I have been pretty remiss to blame most of it on Philbin but for him to continue to let it go on, no matter how he may feel about the OC/DC doing their jobs without him controlling it, he is an ass for allowing for the shit to continue and for a game like last Sunday to drag on to the embarrassing level it did. He needs to be fired.

Coyle calls defensive schemes and positions players like he is terrified to have any of his players hit. There are still no consistent aggressive plays (though i did see a few twists and stunts, blitzes, etc that i didnt see almost any of in previous games). He had his CB line up fucking 15 yards off the line…. He only marginally uses his OLB’s to apply pressure. He brings corner blitzes with the corner lined so far outside there is almost 0 chance not to be picked up or make a play. He sucks he needs to be fired.

Lazor went full retard this game. He hasnt been good in any of the three games this year. The teams are already flowing to where we are going with the ball before we do, so they saw it coming pre-snap. He calls stupid stupid plays like WR sweep to the short side of the field which almos guarantees to lose yards with arunner who gets the ball 10 yards deep and has no room to get around the outside. Or he calls fade after fade when they arent working. Forget should work, they were not working, and to keep going for them was stupid when from the 2, rolling tanny out makes it hard for the defenders to defend all the possibilities including him running for 2 fuckign yards lol. Very fast athletic guy, 0 movement. Or the fact that consistently when we shifted the pocket, we nullified their pass rush and got good yards, then we go back to the shit that wasnt working. Fire him, i dont think he even will make a good QB coach, Tanny is wildly incosistent at best this year.

As for players, Suh cant do it all and right now, Wake is sucking. It may be that he is hurt, i actually very much agreed with one of the broadcaster when he said “Wake is a quick twitch DE and the hamstring injury has taken away his major weapon”. Message to Coyle, pull him, stop banging you head against a wall. Suh from games i have reviewed has been double, tripled, legs cut, etc. I know people expected more. I definitely did but between Coyle’s strategy and Wake not being a threat from the outside. Im not surprised by his lack of explosive plays. DL unit still isnt bad, they are just really poorly used. DE’s have been our biggest letdown, specifically Vernon and Wake. Fede has looked pretty decent while he is in there.

LB’s have been ok, but not great. Sheppard played his hear out this last game. Overall this unit hasnt been the big disappointment people think, and despite the running yeard, i think that smore on Coyle than the players. We are bringin the most vanilla shit out there its not hard to beat it.

CB’s, sepcifically McCain have been awful. Every third down. Third and short and third and long and third and extra long, they knew they had an ace in the hole. They could call whatever the fuck they wanted to on second down because it was almost a guarantee they could pick up the third an long on McCain. They kept going back to the well over and over and over and never once did Coyle play McCain closer, not once did he rotate the DB’s around and try to press the WR’s and time after time, completions for first downs.

OL looks bad, but they arent the only reasons QB is getting hit. Some of this is on Tanny too. Oh and dont put all of this on the OG’s, they had their share of failures but so did James and especially Fox. Pouncey was about the only dependable one out there. Tanny also HAS TO MOVE, the blitz by Rambo, Tanny was responsible for doing something there, he had no backfield blocker to pick it up and the OL was fully engaged. He needed to side step him. With how fast he was coming he would have missed Tanny and been fucking 20 yards behind him before he could have corrected himself but Tanny stood there like a statue and took the hit. He was in clear field of vision, so he should have been able to felt that one and made a move.

It was a shitastic game. So bad so towards the end i literally sat there in the most peaceful mode i have been in for a game all year. Completely ok with every cock up that happened afterwards. I gave up on this team yesterday. Im done, im over it and i admit i was wrong about the Phins. This is not their year, this is not the right coaching staff, and we do need wholesale changes to correct it. One last thing to tell you how bad i saw this game yesterday. At one point i remember they panned to Ryan on the sideline and he was looking at the playbook with one of his staff and he was laughing about something. I immediately knew i had seen that scene from somewhere. Then it hit me, Ryan was Red Beaulieu from “Waterboy”and he was laughing at the game plan Mr. Coach Kline’s was calling, pointing it out in a coaching for dummies book. Thats about how i felt about Ryan, pointing at our offensive game plan he already had a copy of and laughing at how ridiculous and predictable it was.

I couldn’t watch that game again even if I had recorded it. SO what you’re saying is, teams have figured out how to neutralize our front 4. Well now, doesn’t it sound like it’s someone’s job to counter that? 3 games, and each OC has been able to completely and utterly eliminate our D-line.

    • jetsssuck's avatar jetsssuck says:

They used 12 different schemmes throughout this game. 1st 2 series they didn’t rush the DE’s at the snap(delayed timing scheme)I guess to contain the QB. They had DT’s they used this same scheme. The Bills took advantage defensely by providing zone overload blizes where our young pups choose the wrong blitzers. Ryan is good at that.

I saw that one too and was pretty po’ed. Im not sure if that was after my give up oint but its like they have been coached to contain, but i know EXACTLY the play you are referring to.

On the flip side of it, we also called pretty much the same play and the Bills were right there in place to put us down, again, like they knew what we were calling before we did. We lose yards on that same play.

Predictable, pussy ass football, 15 yar cushions, containment instead of aggressive tackling, vanilla playcalling….pure piles of shit and HS coaches could do better.
